Finally, after years of reading the Harry Potter books, this is the first time I've spotted a typo error made by JK Rowling, and it happens to be inside her very latest best-seller the Order of the Phoenix (Book 5)!
The error is on Page 710, Line 2 Word 5. The word should be "heard", but it's "hear" on the page! Note, though: Her books are still great! ;D
lol not to burst your buble but other people type thoses books it's not wrong in my book
Oh? I own the British Child Edition, you know.
I have to American Version
Hmm... OK. If other people log on later we can see if the typo exists in their books.
Umm, the word hear or heard isn't where you explained to me. . . and I have the American version
well, the sentence reads: "crashes and screams and yells surrounding them, not one word of the prophecy could be hear. The figure stopped speaking and disappeared into nothingness"
It starts from the very top of Page 710.
Mine says nothing like that, so I do not know. . . I have seen a typo before in my Prisoner of Azkaban book, but I forget what and where ezactly it was. :P :-\
Maybe we're reading different versions of the book... :'(
ya oh well :-\
mine says Meanwhile Ron was reading two years of Charms notes with his fingers in his ears, his lips moving soundlessly; Semus was lying flat on his back on the floor, reciting the definition of a Substantive Cahrm, while Dean checked it. . . you get the point. . .
HOW FAR AWAY IS THAT!?!?!?!
How many pages is your book? (Total)
Um the pages with numbers 870
yeppers 870
My OotP only has 766 pages. >:(
lolz calm down now
Wow thats over 100 pages
Um.. lol.. that's because Zero has the British version and Em has the American version.. Ok I've got the British version...
and I've just checked ... I've got the same mistake as yours, Zero! lol that's funny.. I've never noticed it before! ;D :o
lol yep me and em both have the American Virsion :)
