Aug. 1 is when I'm getting back from vacation, so I'll be back sometime around then. Sorry I have to leave again!! I'll come back this time though...even without hpcoolest hounding me!!! LOL. No, she didn't hound me.

General / Wizards Karma and Secret Question
April 27, 2002, 12:57:16 AM
Okay...call me stupid, but what is Wizards Karma and how does it work... and also, I just went to update my profile, and I have no idea what the 'secret question and answer are.' Maybe I'll see if I go back and read this post? I don't know. Can someone please help me to eradicate my confusion?

General / Great!
April 27, 2002, 12:42:21 AM
This is cool because now we have a place that we can get off topic and not flood the message boards! I just have a question though. What is the Question and the Option boxes for?

General / Expiramente, personas?
April 26, 2002, 12:14:22 PM
Alrighty, here's the deal...we get newbies practically everyday, but hardly any of them post, or if they do, they never post anything but one post saying "I'm new and I don't have any friends yet". So, I was wondering if we scare them off, which, why would we scare anyone off? We're pretty civilized, ain't we? ;D Well, just to make sure that wasn't the case, I was going to see if, which this would take a sacrifice on all our parts! But, we should abandon the site for a week, starting whenever we agree upon, and then see when we get back if any newbies have started posting on thier own without us telling them welcome and all that. Are you in?

General / Hey, listen up!
March 28, 2002, 12:33:18 PM
Okay, I'm going to be somewhat contradictory. But here's the deal. The Trio thing. I agree with ShuiBee's idea posted in the Just Sittin' thread torwards the end of it on the third page. So how 'bout this, so we don't exclude anyone...Kittie, ShuiBee, and I are a trio, and then DDPC (from America, being that she asked us to see where she's from...I'm from America too, down in old Texas! Yee HA! No, jk, I'm not a cowgirl or anything...) anyway, ya, DDPC, HPTotalFan, and if she wants to, dans_angel can form another trio...then we can battle!

How does that sound?

After thier encounter with the boggart, Harry, Ron, and Hermione made their way to a pub where they could each enjoy a refreshing cup of butterbeer.
"El Pollo Rosado?" Ron said in a disgusted voice. "What type of name is that for a pub?
"Well, maybe we could tell you, if you would just tell us what it means in English!" replied Hermione, obviously annoyed at the fact that she had to ask Ron for help.
"It means 'The Pink Chicken'. I would take The Three Broomsticks over this any day."
Once they finally convinced Ron that the name didn't necessarily reflect the quality of the pub, Harry and Hermione entered, leaving Ron outside to examine the names of the other surrounding pubs.
"I really wish he had never learned Spanish...I mean, why would he become disgusted with French because of Krum?" Hermione told Harry as they made thier way through the pub to find a table.
"Well, Hermione, I kind of understand where he's coming from. I mean, if the girl I liked were to--" Harry stopped, realising too late that he had said too much.
"Harry, you're confusing me...I mean, how would the girl who Ron likes, whoever that poor girl is, how would she have anything to do with me? You really are not making any sense."
"You're right." Harry was extremely relieved. "You're right, I'm just talking...er...nonsense. Just forget I said anything."
Just then, Ron came back in, convinced that the other pub's sounded much cooler...however, it was hot outside, and even Ron was ready to sit down inside an air conditioned building.
"Well, where are we going to sit?" Ron said impatiently, surveying the available tables. "The only table that will sit three is over there by the window, but...look who's sitting in the table next to it." They looked. At the table sat Profesor Trelawney, her stature giving off a sort of artificial majesty.
"Well, I guess we don't have a choice, now do we?" said Harry, very annoyed.
They made thier way over to the table. Just before they got there, Profesor Trelawney spotted them.
"Hello Ron! And Dear Harry! Oh, and Miss Granger...very nice to see you too." Profesor Trelawney had a very condescendant air in her voice as she said this last sentence.
Ron and Harry both murmured thier hellos, while Hermione eyed the profesor suspiciously. They all stood rather uncomfortably for about 30 seconds, until a native carrying a chihuahau entered the pub. Ron's face lit up. "Harry, it's the chihuahua, surely it's an omen! Profesor, Harry and I have to go as quicky as possible. And Hermione too. The chihuahua bark in Mexico surely means that we'll be facing death within the next hour.
Profesor Trelawney looked estremely pleased, "Now that you mention it...I have been gazing in the orb, and--" Harry, Ron, and Hermione had already fled, laughing all the way down the Mexican streets. They mutually agreed on finding the owner of the chihuahua and thanking him later.

Harry Potter Books / Ron and Hermione
March 2, 2002, 09:53:57 AM
;) Who thinks they'll end up together!!!??? They are both so cute, it would be a shame if they didn't. Oh, and for those of you are are thinking, 'Harry and Hermionie', I just have four words: I don't think so. That would be way too boring, and JK Rowling is never boring.

Harry Potter Books / Sirius Black
March 3, 2002, 09:22:14 AM
Is anyone else out there Sirius Black fans?!! He is so awesome. He's the type of guy I would want to marry...well, maybe a little younger...but still, isn't he...I can't even think of the word that would describe him!! He's so loyal, and good, and I believe he can be witty at times too. He's also very clever, and....I don't know!! He's just...just...cool. So is Charley Weasley and Bill.

Harry Potter Books / Recommend Books
April 25, 2002, 11:36:30 AM
Here you go guys...now we can recommend books without getting off topic!!!

I'll start with my recommendations.

Anything Jane Austen:
well, I made a list somewhere in the Gryffindor common room of JA's books.

Anything by any of the Bronte's, but I recommend starting out with Jane Eyre or Wuthering Heights

Shakespear's cool most of the time, I like R&J, but Julius Caesar was BORING!!! Don't read it until you have to, because you'll eventually have to.

Ann Rinaldi, for those of you who are nerds like me and like historical fiction... ;)

The Witch of Blackbird Pond is a good book, I first read it in fifth grade and then again in seventh, so I guess I should read it again now that I'm in tenth....hmmm, I'll have to think about that!

The Three Musketeers.....one word....HILARIOUS!!!!

There you go, there are my recommendations!!!! Someone please let me know if you are planning on reading any of these books, so that way I can bug you about it!!!!

Oh, and another one, Johnny Tremain....that's a good book, historical ficton again!
