Around The Grounds / Re: Waiting in a Cemetary... Why?

((Oh it's fine =) ))

Arianna looked up at Avalee,  her brow furrowing for the first time since she had talked to this girl. She had everything she would say somewhat planned up until now. Honestly, she thought when Avalee found her here on the grave, she would immediately label her off as a loony.

"Well..." Arianna began slowly. "I guess I've already gotten all the facts about the... accident? Murder? Whatever you like to call it... It varies from person to person. But I wanted to know how Axel was... you know before the... er... whatever... If he ever got his drinking problem under control?"

Ari knew this girl must think she was crazy, but she had to ask. She knew Axel had never outright told her he had a problem with drinking, but for some reason when they were talking once in the forest, she had just gotten this feeling in her stomach. So she decided to test that feeling now.

Jackie smiled  as Albus stood, completely ignoring her offer to assist. She nodded a greeting to Al as he arrived also. Then turning her full atention towards Albus, she shrugged. "I don't really know. I've been away... Obviously. Hanging with Mira and her new family."

She bit her lower lip, thinking for a moment. "I don't really know why I left for so long though... To find myself and all that other hippie garbage?" She laughed, a tinkling sound that rang lightly through the forest.

"And what about you? How have you been keeping busy Albus?" She questioned.

The Hogs Head / New people, Familiar Friends
August 14, 2010, 12:33:42 PM
It was strange being back again. The streets were all so familiar, but the people walking them were completely different. Everyone had aged. Everyone was different now, except her. She was frozen, forever at fifteen, almost sixteen. The eyes of someone beyond their time trapped in a body barely over five feet. She had loved and lost more than she could count in her life time. Her last love she had thought would be forever because he was like her, but no. He left shortly after he had showed up, leaving her with nowhere to go after she graduated.

She spent a lot of her time at her cousin's Mira's house. She was happily married now with four children. They were young beautiful children that Jackie could never have. It was one major price paid for the life she lived.

Jackie pushed open the door of the bar, shaking raindrops out of her hair. She took a seat in a small booth off to the side and removed her coat. She diligently scanned the crowd for faces of people she knew. She missed everyone here and wanted to see them so bad she could hardly stand it.

She ran through people and faces and names. Stacey, Alice, Albus, Seth... Jackie smiled. She was happy to return. She took a deep breath, inhaling the scents of the bar, human blood and alcohol smacking into her. She closed her eyes and tried to push past the initial scents to distinguish them. A familiar and welcome scent hinted at her nostrils and she opened her eyes wide, scanning the bar again.

Jade nodded, listening to his answer carefully. It was strange. For some reason she felt she would have pegged him as coming to pick up girls. She inwardly shrugged. It wouldn't be the first time she had been completely off base.

She stiffened slightly in her seat, trying to hide the discomfort from her face when he asked why she had come here to the bar. Then she relaxed again. Why was she stressing out? She had no reason to. It was a simple question, and she had been asking all the questions so far. She should be fine with giving a simple answer, but for some reason, she was uncomfortable. She wanted just to tell him some fake reason she came here, because it was somewhat relaxing. It was because she could break up fights occuring here, or some other crap story.

She didn't want to tell him the real reason because it would most likely rip open a topic she didn't want to get into. Jade decided to do something she was horrible at. Lie. "Well... I don't know. Nothing else to do I suppose." She muttered, brushing hair from her face in a jerky gesture.

Sometimes twisted feelings are good.
Otherwise everything would be straight.
Black and White with no Gray.
The world would be boring.
But it would be easy too.

You never know what you got till it's gone.

And Sky, if he's willing to break up with you because you won't have sex with him?
Then he's a jerk.
You may love him, but he's being stupid.
Aka a guy.

I kind of wish I was in ancient China or Japan.
They just matched you up with a husband right?
I mean, it's suck if you got a bad husband, but it'd be so simple.
Easy.
Boring.
Yet simple.

Jackie pushed herself up off the ground easily, landing on her feet with perfect balance. She stuck her tounge out, wrinkling her small face in mock disgust. She rubbed a corner of her shirt over her face, ridding herself of Albus' saliva.

"I haven't seen you in so long!" She gushed, offering her hand to help him out of the dirt.

Then she turned to the girl standing a few paces away. "Hi." She introduced herself. "I'm Jackie Saylem. It's nice to meet you! What are you a third year?" She queried, looking at the girl, noting how tall she was. Usally tall people were gangly and uncoordinated, but this girl held herself with a sort of grace, Jackie observed.

"To sensibility." Jade agreed, raising her glass of water which she hadn't really payed attention to until now. In the back of her mind she wondered when exactly it had been refilled, but decided not to bother with the thought. Whats the worst that could have happened while she wasn't paying attention?

Their glasses clinked with a near angelic sound and Jade smiled. It was amazing how something beautiful could come from something so plain and average.

"So." Jade said, after nearly downing her glass of water. "What exactly brings you to this bar? Is it the typical girlfriend drama? Or the pathetic sob story drowning themselves in alcohol? Or maybe you came here to pick up girls, or simply because you had nothing else to do?" She offered, honestly curious if she had hit any of the reasons right on.

Yes! I really like the idea of awards.

It's be really fun! And I agree with Sky on the whole newbee thing.
If you listen to other people the rules, and can type well, you're not exactly a newbee in my book. =)

Jade smiled, biting her lower lip as she often did when she was geniunly happy or surprised. Now she was a little of both. "Well, I'm glad to hear you don't believe that all men are stronger than women." She tilted her head in a playful manner. "I may look like an easy target, but try anything and you'll see how dangerous I can be." Mischief glinted in Jade's eyes and she crossed her legs, swiveling a bit on her bar stool.

"And I suppose you're right." She continued. "Women are more able to defend themselves, because of the cultural standard that men can't hit women."

After a moment's pause, Jade laughed casually. "You know this is the deepest conversation I've ever had at a bar?" She stated, her laughs quieting to giggles.

I have no idea, but I'm officially becomming a nun.
A legitimate nun.

I'm so lucky to have a family that's still together.

Jackie had been wandering the grounds of Hogwarts, returning after a long time away. Her wandering ended her up by the lake she so often used to spend time at. She was about to dive straight into the dark depth of the water when she heard some noise aways away. She had no problem pin pointing it's location, her hearing being much more advanced than a human's.

Nearly flying across the ground and inbetween trees, she reached the noise in no time. Jackie leaped into a tree nest to the boy she saw in the clearing. She inhaled deeply, tasting his scent and the girl's next to him. She smiled launching herself onto the boy, nearly flattening him.

"Hello Albus." She giggled, smiling widely and showing her immaculate teeth. "You always were a bit of a show-off."

((Yeah, so this is Jade, just under my old account name =) ))

Jade nodded, understanding hitting her like a brick. She took a moment, closing her eyes and clearing her mind. She pictured her mind as a waterfall of unorganized information, flowing out to everyone around her, and slowly built walls cutting off that flow. She continued to build walls until she could feel her thoughts were cut off from the people around her. Then she opened her eyes and smiled. There was a slight pressure in her head, but she was glad to help others in any way possible.

She glanced over at Alfonso, who was eminating some sort of blue current. Jade laughed. "I'm beginning to feel like the only normal one here." She chuckled, about to go on when something poked her.

"What the..?" She stammered, confused until she connected the dots. "Okay, I'm definately the only normal one here." She said, shaking her head in amusement.

((I figured out how to get back on to my old profile/account/whatever... Yay lol!))

Jade tilted her head to the side, taking in Andy's words. "I guess you're right." She muttered, shoving her hand intro the pocket of her faded jean shorts. "I take to many things personally. It's kind of always been an issue with me."

She surveyed the bar calmly. "I think I can take care of myself." She said in response to Andy's advice about being careful and taking a friend. "I come here often enough, and I've never been hurt before. I said it's scary that the boy died, not I'm scared. There's a difference."

Jade had never taken very well to being taken care of, whether it was by a friend or a family member. Since her mother died, She had ran away from everyone who had tried to take care of her, including her distant father, who still every month sent her a sizeable amount of money irregaurdless of how many times she tried to refuse it. She was independant and extremely proud of that fact.

She had her problems, and she knew that. She was afraid of commitment. She was too proud to accept help from nearly anyone, and she was rebellious and hated being controlled. Hey, she had her issues, but who didn't?
