Around The Grounds / Meeting the Parents
May 19, 2010, 05:21:34 AM
Seth stood alone by the lake, staring out into the dark moving water. It was rather quiet out and the sun was hiding beneath some clouds. It looked like it would probably rain later on. He took his old black dress shoe and smoothed it over the sand along the shore. He was nervous inside. Actually, nervous was an understatement. He was freaking out.

For some odd reason, now that Alice was human, Seth felt more anxious about her meeting his family. He didn't even know why. But he was also excited. He wanted his family to accept her and his decision to get married. He was young, but it was kind of a trend these days. From the day Alice and Seth shared their first kiss, he was in love. His heart beat for her. She was a part of him. That night at the hotel proved showed how much he cared for her. With every kiss and touch of his hand, there was love and tenderness.

He turned his head, looking for her. But he could only see the castle and a few other students scattered across the grounds. He was so used to her being by his side within seconds. Of course, now she wasn't a vampire, she was a human. A human with a beating heart of her own and blood and veins. Who would have thought that that could mean so much?

Seth continued to wait by the shore, his hair short and spiked. He was dressed sharply with a dark red long sleeve button up shirt with a white shirt underneath and black pants. He wanted to look nice for the occasion.

Hogsmead / Encounter
May 8, 2010, 09:42:21 AM
These last couple of months have been some of the longest Sky had ever experienced. Every waking moment she felt on edge. She was always on her guard, always prepared to fight. Even though it had been awhile since their last encounter with the death eaters, Sky always felt that they would be back any moment, and at that time, they would be stronger and smarter.

She was laying in the queen sized bed of the small apartment they had decided to rent, staring up at the ceiling. She could hear the sounds of the soft breathing coming from Jason beside her, and that was the only thing that calmed her nerves. She turned to her side, so that she could watch him sleep. His eyes were closed of course, and his lips were open just a little, so that a light snore escaped from him. She had to smile. Even through this rough patch, she could always find comfort in the man she loved.

Sky tried to close her eyes numerous times, trying to fall into that deep slumber that she longed for, but it wasn't happening. She was wide awake. She tried to silent shift her position and adjust the pillow that she rested her head on, but it was no use. It was like being at Hogwarts. She still had that insomnia.

So Sky decided that, since she could not go to Hogwarts and tread through the beloved forest, she would step outside and walk around this muggle town. She slipped out of bed as silently as she could, pulling a navy blue jacket over her white nightie and zipping it up about half way. She looked once at Jason and then quietly snuck out the door so she wouldn't wake him.

When she got outside, she couldn't help but notice how quiet it was. No animals, no birds, nothing. Well, there were a few people in their automobiles, but other than that, there was silence. Every so often, she would hear a cricket chirp in somebody's garden. At least it was warm. She could feel the almost summer air on the skin of her face and legs. That was comforting. She sighed and remembered how much she missed home.

Sky walked on, down Milton St. and Andres Rd. As she started down Ridgeway Drive, she saw a figure standing in the middle of the street. It was dressed in a black cloak. That much Sky could decipher thanks to the street lights. The figure gave off an eery shadow that stretched at least twice the figures length.

"Sky Mason." The voice said, deep and manly. She stopped dead in her tracks.

"Y-yeah." She replied. Though the man wasn't asking a question. It was more of a statement.

"You've tried to run. You've hidden well. But you should know better than anyone, that there is no escape."  The man pulled down the hood of his cloak, his face obscurred by shadows. Sky could at least tell that he had short brown hair. She didn't say anything. She was searching for her wand, but realized that it was back at the apartment in a drawer. She cursed to herself.

"I don't like traitors Sky. Once you join The Dark Lord's Clan, you don't leave. He may be dead but he lives within us in our hearts. He is a part of us all."

"Shut up!" Sky screamed. "He is not and never will be a part of me!"

The man was suddenly infront of Sky and had grabbed her by the throat, his other hand held his wand and was pushing it into her skin.

"I've been waiting for this. It's time to extinguish the traitors. Then the mudbloods. As far as I'm concerned, you're worse than those filthy vermin."

There was a flash of light, a brilliant white light and a flash of blue and then Sky blacked out.

Hufflepuff / A Rainy Springy Day
April 12, 2010, 08:28:12 AM
The glass windows in the Common Room were covered with dripping water outside. It was raining hard, a roll of thunder occasionally roaring across the skies with a flash of lightning. Emma stood there with her head pressed against the cool glass, watching a few students sprint across the grounds, covering their heads with their cloaks or a book. She sighed to herself.

She was dreadfully bored. And she really didn't know a single soul here except for the teacher with a brown patched and pointed hat that had helped her settle in and gave her a schedule.

"Congratulations. You are in Hufflepuff!" The short and plump woman said enthusiastically.

"Huff-a-whadda?" Emma said, staring at the woman. What the frick was a Hufflepuff?

"Hufflepuff." She repeated, a smile still imprinted on her face. "That is my house."

Emma had no clue what a Hufflepuff was. Apparently it was the founder's last name.

She sighed and closed her blue-green eyes, the window in front of her lips collecting a bit of fog. Her chestnut hair was tied into a ponytail, her bangs hanging near her eyes. Now what?

Role Play Character Bios / Emma Dylan Foster
April 10, 2010, 10:23:49 AM
Name: Emma Dylan Foster

AGE: Fifteen (15)

Birthday: April 9th, 1995

Height: 5'2''

Appearance: Though Emma was born with a lighter shade of brown hair, it gradually became a soft, silky, chestnut brown as she grew older. She has eyes that peer into your soul and see what's really hiding beneath your human flesh. Or rather, when one is hiding a secret or something, Emma usually knows. Her eyes tell a story. They are a dark blue with a hint of a dark, dark green with long lashes. She has a small, button like nose and, often, rosy pink cheeks. She's not very tall, but not too short. She's not stick skinny either. Just a nice healthy weight.

RACE:  Witch/ Unknown

Parents: Charles Andrew Foster III and Lisa Judith Winslow-Foster.

Personality: Emma isn't the perfect angel or the little devil that you come to meet in school. She is just...human. She has good days and bad days just like anyone else. She likes to have fun, sometimes even break the rules. She also does what she has to do to get good grades and enjoy the quiet too.

Likes: Singing, having fun with friends, trips to Hogsmead, and tea.

Dislikes: Divination class, Winter, meat, and spiders.

Power: Emma has the power to transform into a new possibly hostile form, sometimes controlled and not.

History: Emma was born at St. Mungo's on April 9th, 1995. It was there that the doctors discovered something strange about her. There were two tiny lines on the right and left side of her back. It looked as though they were cuts that were healed and had scarred. The doctors were puzzled but decided that they were simply birth marks and sent the family home.

But after a couple weeks, the newborn Emma had gotten angry over something and threw a horrible tantrum. Suddenly, two small black wings sprouted from her back and her appearance changed. Her skin had gone paper white and her eyes a frightening dark purple. The wings were suddenly engulfed in a flame and the infant cried louder. Lisa panicked and didn't know what to do. So she spoke to the infant, though scared to death, to calm her. There was a big flash of fire and it seemed as if the wings disentigrated, the lines on her back suddenly looking new and raw, blood starting to form around the edges.

A doctors visit and some tests later revealed that Emma had a rare magical condition that caused the bizarre morphing. The best thing they could do was give them a recipe for a potion to keep her from changing and to try and live a normal life. Now that Emma is older, she's learned to remain calm when things become frustrating and to make sure she takes her potion.

((Yeah, so I got tired of doing this and got lazy. So maybe I'll add more later. I dunno. =) ))

Gryffindor / •The Great Hall•
March 29, 2010, 10:46:25 AM
((Closed please. Except for Miss. Avalee of course. ^_^))

The Great Hall was unusually quiet and empty today. Perhaps it was because a majority of students were in Hogsmead and only a few students, other than the first and second years, decided to stay back at the castle. Axel was on of those people. He didn't feel like going to Hogsmead today. If anything, he really needed to stay away from there. He needed to stay out of trouble.

He sat at the Gryffindor table, towards the middle where nobody else sat. There were only a few Gryffindor's at the table, the rest were probably in the common room. His crimson red hair that went down just past his ears, was straight. He wore a white thermal long-sleeve and jeans that had a few tiny holes in them.

He was reading a book for History of Magic, and was bored beyond measure. He groaned and put his head down on the open pages.

Slytherin / •○Late Night Walk•○
March 18, 2010, 11:06:05 AM
It was strange to be walking around the dark, cold dungeon after hours. Most people prefered the great depths of the forest, or to sit upon the shore of the vast lake to clear their mind of pestering thoughts. Actually, that was normally what Sky would do. But tonight, she decided to wander to a place she only went to teach potions, The dungeon.

Sky didn't know why she came here to think. Maybe it was because she wouldn't encounter somebody she knew here. She needed to be alone, to decide what to do with her future. She knew it was late, maybe around midnight, and that the students would all be in their dormatories, snoozing. She should be sleeping too, but too many thoughts ran through her head.

So she trudged on through the dark dungeon in her plaid red pajama pants and gray zip up hoodie, using only her wand to guide her. She finally decided to sit on the cold stone ground, her head against the wall. She shut her light gray eyes and focused on clearing her head. But her arm seared.

The Forest / •░Silence░•
March 11, 2010, 06:57:00 AM
Why?

  Why now?

      Why at all?

            Why!?

These words were screaming in Sky's head. Piercing screams that she felt would shatter her very skull. She stumbled through the forest, her vision blurred by the tears that were threatening to escape her light gray eyes and show themselves on her cheeks. She had left during the middle of her evening class, rushing into a professor's room that was down the dungeon corridor to beg them to keep an eye on the class. The Potion's Master had left for the weekend again so he couldn't take over.

Sky's arm was burning. It was one of the worst feelings she had ever had to feel. Worse than when she burned her mark. She wondered if it was punishment somehow. Late punishment. The pain in her arm had drifted through to her entire body by the time she had exited the school and bolted for the forest. By the time she entered, every step she took was searing. But she needed to get away. Nobody must see her like this. Nobody must know.

She gripped tree's for support, feeling light-headed and not sure if she was going to faint. Finally, she fell to the solid ground and layed back against the tree, sobbing silently. She closed her eyes for a moment, trying not to cry, but the pain was just too much. She lifted up her left arm, pulling back the black fabric of the robe and the sleeve of her black sweater, and saw the faint outline of a skull with a green snake protruding him it's mouth. It was returning. The mark was coming back.

Ravenclaw / •Heading Home• :Open:
February 26, 2010, 10:22:59 PM
Seth paced back and forth around the Ravenclaw Common Room. The other students in the room asked if he was alright, but he just ignored them. He wasn't wearing his school clothes but he was wearing a long sleeve white dress shirt that buttoned up to his neck and jeans, his hair messy and there were shadows under his forest green eyes. He hadn't slept a wink last night. Clutched in his hand was a crinkled up piece of parchment, a letter from his parents back home.

Seth's Mother was ill and they weren't sure what was going to happen. They didn't even know what was wrong. She was in St. Mungo's and they couldn't heal her. Only time would tell whether she would be alright or not. Seth hadn't seen his Mother for awhile and he regretted that. He had missed spending time with his family for an education. He pressed his lips together as he looked out the window. It was snowing again. He stuck the letter in his pocket before lifting his trunk up by the handle and started for the Common Room exit. He waved to the other Ravenclaw's before leaving.

He stepped onto a case of stairs and they started changing. As he waited for them to move, he realized he hadn't told Alice. He brought his hand to his head and sighed as it dropped back down to his side. How would he tell her?

The Hogs Head / •░Stupidity•░
February 20, 2010, 05:26:45 AM
The sound of breaking glass could be heard from outside the bar. Followed by the sound of crowds cheering, some people in that crowd booing. A table snapped, more glass was broken.

"Come on punk. You think you can take me?"  The man laughed, a disgusting booming laugh. One where he threw his head back and dared to take his hazel eyes off of the angry red head that stood before him. The man was in his early thirties. He was just as tall as the boy standing across from him, but maybe three times bigger. He had large buldging muscles that were even outlined through his tight polo shirt. His hair was brown and wavy, thinning a little around the hair line, but not too much.

Axel snarled. His sky blue eyes held fury as he wiped the blood from his lip. His hair was shorter now. It had gotten too long and had become a nuisance. Now it just went to his ears.

"I know I can take you." He shot back, a little smirk appearing on his face. This whole fight had started because he saw the man treat a female server badly, grabbing her and pulling her onto his lap, whispering inappropriate things in her ear. When she managed to get up and told him off, he got mad and pushed her away, knocking some glasses on the table. Axel saw the girl go down to pick up the shards of glass and realized enough was enough. The man shook his head before turning to his buddies. They were all howling and cheering for him.

"Woo! Go get 'em, Dave! Show him not to mess with his elders!"

Dave suddenly was in front of Axel and grabbed him by the collar of his white t-shirt, his nose inches from Axel's. The odor of firewhiskey was almost unbearable.

"You think you're so tough, huh kid? Looks like I got to teach you a little lesson about interference."

Axel snorted. "Looks like I got to teach you about breath mints."

Dave growled and lifted the boy, tossing him into an empty table.

Slytherin / Potions Class
February 13, 2010, 02:49:32 AM
Sky watched as the Potions Master bid her farewell and walked quickly out the door. He was an older man, with a bit of weight around his middle. He had a white mustache and his hair had thinned around the top, but it still looked rather full for his age. When he breathed, it was loud enough to be heard. He lost his breath quickly when he spoke or worked too hard, which would explain his retirement at the end of the year. Sky would be the new Potion's Master after that.

The bell would ring soon and Mr. Noland didn't want to get caught up in the commotion of rowdy students as they burst through the halls, eager to leave their classrooms. She sighed as he closed the door behind him. The sound of the door closing echoed around the classroom and made Sky jump. Today, she would be teaching class alone. Normally, Mr. Noland would observe when it was her turn to teach. After all, Sky was only an intern. Somebody would have to watch and tell her if she was taking the right approach to being a teacher. But no. He said he would be heading to London for the weekend and that he had put all of his faith in Sky. If there were to be an emergency, she would be strong enough to handle it. Wouldn't she?

She walked around the front of her, or rather Mr. Noland's, desk, standing in the empty classroom in her black sweater and gray dress pants. Wearing robes was too dangerous for this job. Mr. Noland had said that he rarely had a student catch fire, but Sky was a little cautious.

The bell rang just two minutes after the Potion's Master left. Sky could hear the loud uproar of students as they entered the halls, laughing and yelling to one another. Sky ran her fingers through her long black hair as she took a deep breath. She must not let the students sense that she was nervous. This would be the first time she would be teaching alone and who knows how they would behave. As the students gathered into the classrooms and took their seats, Sky cleared her throat and smiled nervously.

"Good afternoon class. Mr. Noland will be out for the remainder of the weekend, so I will be conducting the rest of the day's classes." She said in her soft tone. She could feel the student's eyes on her, some not even paying attention and chatting away.

Around The Grounds / Moving Day
February 7, 2010, 01:06:59 PM
Sky sat on the front steps of her two story house, bundled up in a long black coat and jeans with her dragonhide boots and gloves. She had done a lot of work on the house since Jason's last visit. The house had been black and dirty. The lawn needed taken care of and the inside was horrendous.

But now the house was an eggshell white, the front door red to support her school colors. The lawn was covered in snow, but it wasn't overgrown anymore. It looked like a home.

She sighed. She had no idea how long it would be until Jason arrived. She felt slightly nervous. How would it be living with someone else? Someone of the opposite sex?

Around The Grounds / An Evening Walk
January 24, 2010, 03:28:24 AM
((Stacey.))

It was nice not to see snow on the ground for once. The Winter had been rather bitter this year, with several blizzards striking the grounds and the local village of Hogsmead. Today, it was actually kind of warm. Well, in it's 40's, but that was warm for January, and residing at a place that rested near a lake.

Sky looked to the sea of clouds above her. The sky was like a canvas, with different shades of red, orange, and blue all blending together. She smiled to herself as she stuck her hands into the pockets of her black coat. She noticed that with every step she took around the school, the grass would make a light crunching sound. Sky hated how Winter effected the grass. She missed laying around in the long, soft, stuff in her t shirt and shorts, just staring up at the clouds. But someday the warm weather would return, and everything would go back to the way it was.

The Forest / Insomnia <Open>
January 19, 2010, 04:17:03 AM
She could never understand how or why, but Sky had a hard time sleeping at night. It was as if her mind wouldn't shut off. All of her thoughts were racing through her head. She laid in her bed in her room, tossing and turning, trying to fall into darkness, but it just wasn't working.

She tore off her blanket and stood up, stretching. She put on a black sweater and gray sweatpants before slipping on her shoes. She knew where she was going and wondered why she always retired there when she couldn't sleep.

The forest had this way of soothing Sky. Of calming her of her jitters and anxieties. The sound of the wind rattling the leaves, the sound of the beasts that roamed the dangerous woodland. Strange that a place said to be incredibly dangerous was her place of comfort.

As Sky walked quietly through the Forbidden Forest, she heard a noise. Footsteps that belonged to something other than an animal. She stopped for a moment to listen and see who was following her.

The Three Broomsticks / The Three Broomsticks
December 29, 2009, 11:55:34 AM
((Clever title eh?))

"Hey cutie. Wanna come sit over here with us?"

Seth looked over from the booth he was sitting in to see three girls calling for him to join their table. He shook his head.

"No thanks." He said, taking a sip from his warm butterbeer.  He turned to look out the window. It was snowing like crazy outside. Hogwarts had been hit with a blizzard and Hogsmead was just now getting it. He started to play with the salt and pepper shakers, making them move around the table with his wand.

Where was she?
#36
All was quiet upon the snowy grounds. No animal sounds, no students walking about. It was as if time had stood still. The only sound that was really noticable was the wind that blew snow in every direction. The school had received a lovely blizzard the previous night and was forced to cancel classes until it had subsided.

Sky sat along a windowsill in the highest tower, her black acoustic guitar held carefully in her arms. She hadn't touched it in so long, she felt like she neglected the thing. She wondered if she even remembered how to play. Her hand fell down the strings, so that her fingers hit every one of them, and cringed when she noticed just how off tune her guitar really was.

It took her several minutes to adjust it, but finally managed to tune it just right. She plucked each string and smiled. She inhaled slowly and started to play, amazed at how naturally this all came to her. The tune was soft--soothing. It was an old lullabye. Sky loved to play lullabyes. Too bad she didn't remember the words.

She hummed quietly, not wanting anyone to hear her. Sky doubted anyone would be up here where the temperature was as cold as the dungeons. She didn't even know why she chose this place. She guessed it was because of the view.

Suddenly there was the sound of footsteps and Sky jumped, turning to see who was approaching.

The Hogs Head / Hanging Out In Hogsmead
November 24, 2009, 11:16:37 AM
The tiny bell hooked to the large wooden door jingled as Axel stepped inside The Hog's Head dressed in his school attire consisting of a white dress shirt with his robes that had the Gryffindor crest on it, black pants, and black running shoes. A gray fedora hat rested on his head and a navy blue messenger bag hung over his shoulder.

He made his way to a back booth, his red bangs hiding his sky blue eyes. The dark leather on the seats was well worn, some holes revealed a white cotton like fabric.

Axel set his bag down beside him and watched the people around him. There wasn't a whole lot of people here, but the smell of alcohol was strong. He tapped his  fingers on the table, debating with himself about whether to order a something strong or stick to water or tea.

General / Drawing((Everyone lookie please))
September 30, 2009, 06:24:53 AM
So I've wanted to do a drawing of everyone's characters on  HPF, granted I'm not the best drawer. I still want to try it.

So...

If you want your character(s) in it, please post their name, house, year, who they are dating if they are, and description. I need as much detail as possible. I'm not sure its gonna get done, but I'm gonna try. Thanks!

The Forest / ^*Nothing*^
September 22, 2009, 07:27:35 AM
Seth had over-done it. He had never drunken alcohol like he did this evening. But he heard how it could numb the hurt he had and with every drink came a little less pain. By the time he had made it to Hogwarts, it was nearly 11. Well past student curfew.

He stumbled stupidly along the forest, catching himself on trees. He wasn't numb anymore. Now he was angry.

How could she deny him? How could she question his love? So what if he was young? He knew what he wanted. Seth took a swing at a tree, splitting the bark and cutting his knuckles so that blood dripped onto the ground. Oh how good that felt. He took another swing and missed, falling to the ground.

Seth didn't get up. Instead he cried. Why was he crying? He didn't care. It was raining now. Nobody would be here to notice.

Sky couldn't believe how fast the  summer had gone by. It seemed like it was just yesterday that she graduated from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Sky was happy. The headmaster had granted her a home in the castle and gave her a job as an assistant to the Potions Professor.
Basically a student teaching job or internship.

She stood in the lake, the cold, dark water up to her pale knees. With her wand in hand, Sky managed to summon a small mason jar from the storage closet.
She twisted the lid off and scooped the jar into the water. Being an assistant had its pros and cons. Collecting ingredients was almost always a con.

Sky lifted up the jar and inspected it carefully, groaning with frustration when she realized she had only collected murky water and not the gillyweed she was assigned to collect. With a sigh she poured out the dark water and started to search again.
