Warner Home Video's Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was last week's top-selling DVD and VHS and was the nation's second-best rental title. I like the cover, I don't know if it's the same here or not, but they did not use the one they were supposed to, that made me mad! Not fair... Haha, no, I don't care that much, it's still cool! ;D

I haven't seen it here in Singapore yet, and anyway if it is out, there would be adverts all over the place, but I haven't seen any yet.

The 3rd's got a different style from the first two. (Seeing that they were done by different directors.) I think they each have their own good stuff. For one, Alfonso Cuaron, added things like "Do you wanna move a little bit closer?", which Chirs Colmbus would never have done.

"Do you wanna move a little bit closer?"
"HUNH!?!?!?!?"
"Erm... To the shreiking shack."
"Oh..." <Dissapointment>  ;D

I like Chirs Colmbus's way of directing much better..

I think Alfonso and Chris are equally good!

I wish Stephen King could have done the whole thing, would not have missed any event in the book, that's for sure...

I liked Alfonso's better... But, the more I think about it, I like how it was done (columbus, columbus, alfonso) I was getting tired of the same disneyfied seens with columbus, alfonso's way was a nice change...

Post by: 0612 on December 27, 2004, 09:17:31 AM
I get it! Alfonso was more willing to make fun of the kids while Columbus kept (quite) strictly to the book. Alfonso was generally more flexible.

It's better to stick with the books ;D I mean in the 3rd movie they HARDLY EVER were there school robes!!  :o And how can Draco Malfoy the Muggle-Hater were muggle clothes!! see what I mean?

Yeah I know that! But... oh well just forget it :P
Title: Re:dvd sales
Post by: Em on December 30, 2004, 01:22:28 AM
Ok, fine with me... but I have a question... So what if they were hardly in thier robes? I mean, what's the big deal... I mean, the acting was still good, but that's my opinion... Try to forget about the books and and just think about the third movie itself.... ok, that was more than I planned on saying, but, too bad...lol...
Title: Re:dvd sales
Post by: Fawkes on December 31, 2004, 01:04:23 AM
Yeah the acting was pretty good.. but my point is that Alfonso was hardly sticking to the books! Unlike Chris :)
Title: Re:dvd sales
Post by: 0612 on December 31, 2004, 09:24:11 AM
Well, that's true, but then again, it could be hard to stick to the books at times.  ;D

*sigh* I have something to say, but, no comment...

Oh heck tooo bad!

Harry went to hogwarts, and sirus excaped from azkaban and they met in the Shrieking shack and bla bla bla, SINCE WHEN DOES ANYBODY BESIDES STEPHEN KING FOLLOW THE BOOKS EXACTLY! *takes long breath* ok, now I am better...
