this story,was one I came up with while listening to "jessies girl"...its a bit more serious than some of my other stories...I'm basically winging this first paragraph.
Chapter 1:Something's changed
Harry watched ron and hermione as they stared into eachothers eyes lovingly.
"There such a cute couple...",Lavender brown whispered into whispered into parvati's ear.It was what every one said. Even the teachers smiled before telling them to keep there hands to themselves. Ron and hermione sat down. He layed her head on her shoulder. Harry sighed before walking over to sit next to them. "Morning,"Harry said, attempting to sound cheery. Ron was busy kissing hermione's kneck,and hermione giggled before they noticed harry had arrived at the table."Oh...Morning, harry,"Ron said picking his head up to look at harry. Hemione blushed furiously.
Harry just nodded and grabbed a plate and put eggs and bacon on it.

Hermione looked over. "Is there something wrong, harry?" She said clearly concerned for her friend."Nothing," harry muttered. Hemione was about to pursue it further, but ron put his hand on her shoulder as if to warn her to stop while she was ahead.So, she let it go. They stared into eachothers eyes again. Fred and george sat at the table. Hermione smiled at ron and kissed him full on. "Why don't you two get a room?"Said george bitterly. Fred laughed at george. "Your just cross because your girl broke up with you," he said. George scowled at his twin."Oh,shutup,will you?" Ginny sat down next to fred and smiled at ron and hermione."There so sweet,I wish I could have what they have...."she sighed.
Harry continued staring down.Every one said that. Everyone. He couldn't stand being around them anymore. He didn't know what it was. He had been friends with ron and hermione a long time. But he couldn't stand the sight of them together. It felt wrong. But why?Why did it feel wrong?
Was he in love with one of his best friends? It was driving harry up the wall. He couldn't stand it. He was up till five o' clock last night, contemplating what was going on.

Hermione had always been there for him.Though,he thought reasonably,so has ron. Harry's confusion and depression mixed,only furthering his sadness.
He headed upstairs to the common room. "Something the matter,young harry?"The portrait of the fat lady asked after harry said the password."Just let me in...."Harry sighed.

And as if that wasn't enough,the creevey brothers chose then to Flash cameras at him."Harry,is something wrong?Huh,harrry?"Colin said,in his usual perky matter."oh,I don't know...Why don't you go ask dumbledore,he'll probably know!"He snapped,driving the brothers away.Being in love never had been easy. Or,thats what cynics said. Harry wasn't normally a cynic, but he was at the moment. He wanted to go and shatter something,go push someone into the lake. Anything to get rid of the feeling in the pit of his stomach. Harry stared into the fireplace as the fire roared. 'So,Harry thought,'this is how it feels?' He continued to stare at the fire,and then,when he heard ron and hermione enter,he quickly headed up the boys dorms.He laid on his bed and feigned sleep."harry?"he heard ron whisper.
"Harry, Are you awake?"he asked. Harry just ignored him,and drifted off into a Semi-peaceful sleep.

Chapter 2:Playing along
Harry was watching them again, as he entered the library. They had said there were planning to study. So, he had headed out a half an hour after them. They were making out on top of a particularly dusty looking section. "Studying" no longer meant studying. He had grown accustom to this; but it was still a shock to see his two best friends making out. He would never get used to it. He gave them a moment, Then cleared his throat. Ron looked up, his face changing from a scowl to embarrassment. "Oh.. Hey Harry," He said, getting up and dusting himself off a bit. "We were just...um, Hermione was having trouble with...I mean, I was having trouble..." Hermione got up and duster herself off as well, to flustered at just that moment to say anything. "You were making out," Harry said, helping Ron out. "Err-Yeah, actually," he said. Harry just nodded his head in under standing. Hermione fixed her hair a bit. "We started studying, but...Somebody," She said, rubbing Ron's hair. "Couldn't keep their hands or eyes off me..."Ron grinned when she finished the statement. "Oh yeah...You were just screaming, 'get off me, we need to study'," He said, kissing Hermione's cheek. Hermione looked into his eyes, her smile widening. "I can't say no to that face," She said, reaching up slightly to stroke his cheek. Harry just rolled his eyes. "I swear, Sometimes you two make me sick," He said, sitting at a table. "Its our last year, guys, we need to focus on things other then groping each other..." He said, pulling a book from his bag. They sat down, and Hermione began playing with Ron's long hair. Harry was watching from the corner of his eye. 'He doesn't
deserve her' he thought, bitterly. Just smile. Put on that face that everyone wants to see. Harry did this often. Sirius was dead. Voldemort was on the loose. His world was crumbling around him, and he had to just smile and shrug it off. Just smile, and shrug it off...yeah, well...That was getting harder. Watching Hermione and Ron was never easy, but he played along. He pretended to feel alright watching the girl of his dreams make out with his best friend. He just patted her on the back every time they got into a fight, He never suggested that maybe Ron wasn't the right guy for her. He was always there when she needed a shoulder to cry on, always there when she needed someone to confide in, But he never crossed the Best friend boundary line.

Harry looked back down at his book. Five minutes into his studying, Hermione and Ron joined in.
As he read, he was finding it harder and harder to focus.
"So....harry, why haven't you found yourself a gal of your own yet?" Ron said.
"Yeah, Harry, I really think it would be good for you, Ron and I have been talking, and we noticed you've been really down lately."She said, half-studying, half talking to Harry.
Harry pondered as he thought of an answer, pretending to be deep in thought about astonomy...or whatever it was he was reading. He really hadn't paid attention to the book he had grabbed from his bag.
"Oh..um, I hadn't really thought about that. I'm still getting over cho, you know," He said, trying to dodge the question.
"Harry...It's been to long for you to still be using that exuse, don't you think?" Ron said, looking up from the book he hadn't really been reading anyway. "You need to move on, man." He said reaching out and patting Harry's shoulder.
"Look...I just..Just don't have time for a girl right now, Ron." He said, blushing a bit. 'I love her, you idiot. The girl sitting next to you!'
Thats what he had wanted to say. Ron didn't press the subject, seeing it was clearly a sore one. Hermione however, pressed on.
"Oh, Harry, I know this lovely girl, I think you'd just love her,"She stated, making a motion with her wand as the transfiguration book had instructed her to. "She's sweet, and she's got a GREAT personality!" She said, glancing up from her book and at harry.
Ron leaned over and whispered to Harry,"Yeah, that's code for, ugly, and uninteresting, mate."
Harry couldn't help but laugh a bit at this, and laughed harder when a book fell on Ron's head. "You know, when you don't want someone to hear something, Ronald, you KEEP YOUR VOICE DOWN." Hermione snapped.
