Lillian looked in the mirror and smiled as she placed her black bow in her hair. She smoothed her skirt grabbed her backpack and head off to breakfast. As she lightly hopped from stair to stair she applied a pink lip gloss. She walked down the hallways waves and smiles sent her way. She happily returned them. Lillian was one of the nicest people in school thus earning the friendship of many. As she entered the eating hall she walk to a spot and ruffled the hair of the person next to her. " Sleep well ??" She asked as she grabbed a muffin.
Aaron flinched as a hand ran through his white hair. His hand inched toward his wand but his self-control won over his temper. He turned to see who it was that caused him to start. A girl he didn't know to well was picking at a muffin.
"Well. Thank you." Being asked how he slept was new for Aaron. He gave the girl a small smile. "And you?"
"Long" she said with a smile " DADA homework kept me up." She pulled out her wand and jokingly slid it across her throat. She laughed and placed it back in her bag. Her wand was ... Normal... To say the least. Getting board at night she would place small pink gems on the bottom. She laughed at the look she received from the boy. She must look crazy to him.

Aaron laughed at her suicidal gesture. "What year are you?"
( Sorry:). Still learning thanks for telling me)) " I'm Lillian year 3. What about you" I frowned noticing I don't even know the boys name.
Her bubbley personality makes her hard not to notice, so Aaron wasn't surprised when he learned she was in she was still in her third year, likewise not having classes with him.
"I'm Aaron. Fourth year." Aaron said whilst examining the plethora of food in front of him. Nothing appealed to him. He picked a few fruits onto his plate. As he strolled over to an empty spot on a bench he asked, "Won't you join me?"
" Thanks Aaron " I had managed to somehow trip on my way over to sit. Lillian lightly blushed and looked side to side to make sure no one saw. She giggled as she sat down. " So have you been to the Forbidden Forest yet" ?

Aaron tried not to laugh at her stumbling but, sadly, failed. Yet another one of her questions surprised him.
"Well it's called the Forbidden Forest, so no I haven't. I've wanted to though. Just haven't built up the nerve to go." He said with a small smile.
"Have you-hey, I like your bow-"Aaron said with his head tilted to one side. He just noticed it. "been there?"
[ I was trying to see if you would notice:) ] " Yes, I love to wear bows its one of the one things only I do. And I've tried to go I got close then I saw a spider and I had to run away. I hate spiders. Maybe we can try to go one. We will need napkins to kill some bugs." I smiled at him.
Aaron felt uncertain and excited. Yes, breaking the rules can be fun, but they're rules. Excitement and curiosity won out, but one thing left him feeling skeptical.
"Killing? Is that necessary? We could just shoo them, couldn't we?" His eyes were hopeful. Aaron's greatest fear, next to failure, was death."If that's out of the way I'd be thrilled to accompany you."
" Okay " I replied with a smile " no killing. " Standing up I gave Aaron a hug and left. I've never been happier about talking to a random person. I had a feeling we would be good friends.
Aaron was relieved at the confirmation of not having to kill anything. Then was surprised by Lilllian's hug. She left before he had time to hug her back. Aaron smiled. "See you then!" he called to her fleeting back.
-I think I just made a friend.-Aaron thought as he turned back towards his fruit.
I sighed deep in boredom at my DADA class. I was very excited now !! Not only had I made a new friend but also a adventure buddy. I brushed my quill across my cheek. Oh how I wished for a ball-point pen. Only 10 minutes till I could see Aaron at lunch. I really couldn't wait. The class finally ended and I went to the lunch hall. I looked around quickly hoping to find Aaron.
Aaron heard her in his head. Her thoughts were directed toward him so he could easily pick them out. He closed his eyes and looked for her mind. Her excited mind wasn't hard to find. She was just covered visually by other people. He could've projected his thoughts to Lillian but he thought it might freak her out a little. So instead he snuck through the crowd to find her. He gave her a smile.
"Hey." He called to her back.
Lillian spun around a few times trying to Aaron. She bumped into multiple people. She saw his face and went up to Aaron. " Can thy lillian sit with the ". She laughed and sat with him. She threw her bag on the table and turned to him.

Lillian sat down next to Aaron. He mentally said good-bye to days of eating alone. Anticipation filled his body. He couldn't wait to see the Forest. He knew it wasn't that big of a deal considering that students have done it on multiple occasions, but that couldn't quell his excitement. Seeing the shady trees with their twisted roots and strange creatures, some being vicious and some being gentle, in other people's minds wasn't enough.
Though with all the people around he couldn't bring up their trip."How was class?" he said, trying to engage in a conversation that will mostly consist small talk.
Lillian look around just waiting for a teacher to ruin their plans. She was excited at the idea of leaving the school before she was allowed. " Class was class. It wasn't really that great. I was to excited to care really" she laughed. I wondered if maybe they could first go to the by the wand shop. She had been wanting to see if any new wands had come in. She also needed to see if the pet store has something for her owl, Rylie. She had hope she could wear a normal outfit. Something outside of the uniform. She really liked Aaron. He wasn't like any of the other guys in the school. She was happy for his friendship. She opened her bag and dug around for a minute finally finding what she wanted. Salt-water taffy. A gift from her parents. " Want a piece " Lillian ask Aaron.

Lillian held out a piece of salt water taffy to Aaron. As best as he could, he politely declined her offer. "No thank you. It tastes too sweet for me." He remembered the first time he ate salt waster taffy. He nearly threw up at the taste and now has to suppress a gag as he smells it.
He carefully brushed his mind against Lillian's to read her surface thoughts. She wanted to go wand shopping. "Wand shopping? Isn't Diagon Alley a little far from here? Why not just browse Hogsmeade? But your not allowed to be there."
(( Oops,, Sorry I didn't see that !! )) " Yes, but I appear to look around a year 4. So it wouldn't be that hard to trick a few people. And if people start to get suspicious, we can always just walk away. And getting out of the school would be easy. I have the power of invisibility." Lillian smiled as she told Aaron her big secret. She felt happy that she could tell someone. Excitement pulsed threw her body as the thought of spring surrounded her.
Though Aaron has been keeping a check on Lillian's mind, he was surprised that her special power was to take things into invisibility. She must have guarded the secret well. He still felt unsure about leaving the school. His face showed that. Eventually he gave a sigh. "All right. Fine. I give in. When do you want to go?"
Lillian laughed. " How's tonight ? You would have to give me a little bit of time to change" she told him. She would need to be on high-alert. As would he you never know what could happen. She wondered if it will feel weird being away from school,and being somewhere that she doesn't know anything about.
"Tonight's great." Aaron said. "I'll meet you in the Common Room then. Seven o'clock?"
" Okay " She smiled yet again. She just couldn't help it. Lillian stood up , flung her bag over her shoulder ,And gave Aaron a hug. (( Can we just skip to seven ?? ))

This time Aaron managed to return her. He stood and walked to his afternoon classes. History of Magic and Potions passed slowly. He managed to scrape up a few unnecessary notes.

Aaron sat down on a plush sofa. The fire in front of him was unpleasantly warm. He had comfortable clothes on:a soft blue t-shirt and worn out jeans. He waited for Lillian to show up. He was ecstatic for their mini adventure. He fiddled with his wand and ran over spells in his mind. He absently swished his wand around as he fanned out his mind to look for Lillian.
Lillian ran down the hallway in a attempt not to be late. She was wearing skinny jeans a green button up shirt, a dark green bow and slip-on shoes. She entered the room behind Aaron. She quietly giggle and pulled out her wand. " Flipendo " she whispered towards a pillow he was sitting by she could help but laugh again. I smiled at him. " Ready " I asked.

A pillow shifted in place next to Aaron's seat. He was confused until he heard the giggle behind him. He turned around to find Lillian laughing at him. He smiled back at her. He jumped and and strolled over to her.
"Ready?" he asked. He was thinking of offering his elbow but thought that might be strange so he just walked through the portrait door assuming that she would follow.
Lillian walked along with Aaron. They went threw the different hallways. " Is there anywhere you would like to go? All I really would like to do is go by the wand shop. " She said. Lillian looked down while she walked. She was very nervous now , she had no clue as to what she was about to see. They walked in front of a mirror. " Hey, come here. I want you to see something " she smiled.
Aaron wondered what she was talking about. He was about to look into her mind but instead decided to just see what she wanted him to. He let her drag him along. "Well if you do want to sneak into Hogsmeade, we could find a way to get into Diagon Alley from there if you want to go wand shopping that badly. I was hoping we could peek into the forest but..." he sentence trailed off. "Is there something wrong with your wand?"
She was going to show him her power. She stood still , closed her eyes, And thought about disappearing. She smiled and opened her eyes seeing just Aaron standing there. Lillian laughed " Amazing isn't it " she asked him. She turned to him and lightly placed her hand on his arm. She could very easily see him as he could her. She was just delighted with herself that now no one eles could see them. She look at him and laughed. " Its kinda weird the first time , but you'll get use to it." She told him.
Aaron widened his eyes as he disappeared from the mirror. He looked at his hands and cautiously touched his face. "So I can see you and myself, but no one else can." Aaron thought this was very interesting. "Well I'll show you my power then. It seems as if I'm obliged to now."
He slowly and gently pushed his mind toward hers without shielding his own mind so she would have access to his current thoughts. He softly touched her mind and thought of images. He showed her herself this morning, he showed them sitting together, and then he sent her a thought.-Hello- Aaron retracted his mind from hers and slowly turned to see her reaction. He was afraid she would be mad. Most people would be after they figure out that a strange boy has been inside their head lately.
" Woah. That was .... Amazing. That's so cool !!! " Lillian started to jump. She had never seen anyone with this type of power. It excited her. She smiled and grabbed his hand pulling him to the exit. They easily slipped past any people in their path. " Okay Aaron, lead the way " she smiled at him " we can also go to the forest tonight, if that's what you want."
Aaron was let out a sigh of relief. Then he smiled at her excitement toward his ability. They began walking towards the entrance to Hogsmeade. "So, what do you want to do. Again, wand shopping is ruled out considering that neither of us can Apparate nor do we have floo powder." He started towards the candy shop. ((ahh if forgot the name. oh hey Lillian can go into Hogsmeade as a third year. sorry.)) The sweet smells of Honeydukes((remembered it)) filled Aaron's sensitive nose. He could pick out taffies and chocolates and everything else. He looked over at some Chocolate Frogs as he let go of Lillian's hand to become visible again.
(( Haha so I became all invisible for nothing !!! :) )) Lillian smiled she had never been here before. Everything looked so good. " Ooo salthingyer taffy" Lillian yelled. She giggled as she skipped towards the candy. Tripping once with out fail it happened all the time. She sighed and grabbed a band-aid out of her bag to cover the cut she had just gotten across her hand. There was very little blood. Nothing to cause worry , but she would still have to let the nurse see it. Lillian looked around nervously. Where did she leave Aaron.
Aaron saw at Lillian fall and smelled her blood. He gagged and vomit threatened to show its ugly face. His hand fluttered toward his wand. He pointed it at Lillian's head and said "episkey." Her small cut quickly healed. "Sorry, it's just that I hate the smell of blood. And I hate the taste even more." He swallowed again before he had another chance to throw up. Aaron gave a small shudder.
Lillian laughed " Well at least I know your not going to hurt me " she replied. She lifted up the band-aid to find nothing but a small pink line. " Wow that must come in handy. I'm going to have to learn that. Do you want to run by the book store then leave to the forest " Lillian asked. She wondered if Aaron could always read her mind. And what her mind might sound like to him.
Aaron laughed. "Yes I can always read your mind unless I try really hard not to or if you're to far away from me I have to look for your mind." They walked over to a book store. Various textbooks and novels lay ahead of him. He gently stoked their spines and discreetly inhaled their sweet scent. He made sure his hands were clean before picking out a select few and flipping through their first few pages. He would thoroughly read them later, thanks to his non-forgetfulness.
During his preoccupation he lost his companion. He walked through the book shelves looking for Lillian whilst scanning over the intricate calligraphy of the book titles.
Lillian wondered away looking for something to catch her eye. She wondered down a random isle in the back of the store. She down on the floor picked a few books out and started to read the first chapter of each book. This was becoming one of the best days she had in a while.
Aaron found Lillian seated on the floor with a pile of books surrounding her. He squatted down next to her and gave a few comments on the books in her pile. Eventually he walked over to the check-out and purchased two novels. He dished out two galleons and sickle.
With a dainty bag in hand he walked back over to Lillian's fortress. "Are you ready to leave?"
Lillian looked at Aaron. " You said these two were the best so I'm going to get them." Lillian put up the rest of the books, she went to pay. " So are you sure you want to go still " she asked Aaron. She looked at the bag of books " Umm,, you can keep the bag. Ya know save the plant. I have my own bag. " Lillian shook her head muttered a quick thanks and left.
Aaron thought her question over in his mind. He considered the pros and cons of going into the forest as they strolled down the nearly empty streets. Pros: his desire to see the forest will be quenched, it would be great for practicing spells if that becomes necessary, and it really exciting. Cons: if they got caught they could get expelled and it's probable that they will get hurt but they had Lillian's invisibility and Aaron's mental map. He couldn't say that he wasn't scared but he still decided that he wanted to go.
"Yeah, I guess I still want to go. Well if you do anyway."
He's always leaving the choice up to me. " Well let's go then " she replied excitedly. She pulled them to them to the side. She unleashed her power on them and they easily moved threw the city. When lillian got to the edge of the forest she stopped gave Aaron a smile and ran in.
Aaron ran along invisibly with Lillian. The twisted roots of trees were easy to trip over and Aaron was surprised Lillian hasn't fallen yet. He breathed in the scent of the forest. It had an earthy smell. It smelled of dirt and water and plants and sadly, animal droppings. He was once again thankful for Lillian's invisibility as a herd of centaurs galloped by in the distance. Aaron and Lillian eventually slowed down.
The forest was eerily quiet. Insects couldn't even be heard. Aaron hoped that they hadn't accidentally pranced into a predator's territory. Not wanting to break the silence, he touched Lillian's mind. -It feels really great out. Have you noticed the silence?-he mentally asked her.
Lillian looked around and nodded. She stepped away from Aaron to investigate. - The invisibility is going to wear off soon - she told him mentally. She gasped at the sight of spider webs. - We should get going soon - she said as she backed away.
One glance at the spider webs in front of Aaron triggered a wave of memories to surge up from the depths of his mind. He has read about the spiders that lived in the forest but didn't really believe entirely in them. But what else could spin webs that big? He regretted now that they had wasted their precious minutes of being unseen for nothing. Aaron let Lillian slowly lead him out of the ring of webs as he closed his eyes in search for anything particularly dangerous. A few pinpricks of consciousness were flaring in front of him but nothing that could pose a major threat. He pushed out even further to see that vast amounts of thought lay ahead of him. Creatures that were huge and capable of speech. Creatures that knew that the kids were there.
He returned his mind to Lillian's and thought -Good idea, we should leave, now-
Lillian didn't care anymore about being quiet or unseen. All she knew is that they must get out. " Aaron follow me " she yelled out. She started running back the way they came. She took every sharp turn there was so they could get out fast. She thanked the lord that she hadn't fell yet. She heard something break the twigs about 20 feet away. She stopped and gasped at what she saw in front of her.
Aaron and Lillian crashed threw twigs and branches. Lillian, having longer legs was in the lead. The sound of breaking branches could be heard. Panic threatened to overwhelm Aaron's mind. Lillian came to an abrupt stop and gaped in front of the pair. Aaron focused in that direction and saw large spiders slowly making their way toward them. They came up to Aaron's knee cap. Without putting much thought to it he whipped his wand at the spider and yelled "arania exumai!" out of panic. He immediately regretted it as he felt the spider's consciousness die out. He would never know if they meant any harm or not because now they did. Aaron pulled Lillian with him as he yelled more spells and aimed then behind his back, momentarily not caring if he killed anything.
Lillian didn't know what to do. She yelled out in fear as Aaron grabbed her and took her with him . She grabbed her wand out of her bag. " Immobulus " she yelled at the many approaching vile creatures. " Incendio" she yelled starting a wall of fire behind them . She turned around running at the same pace as Aaron, not will to have him ever leave her sight.
Aaron heard her yelling out curses. Turning around he saw her lagging behind, busy with an incendio. He slowed his speedy gait to wait for her. Her spells complicating spells proved effective, which is a lot you can say for a third year. Her fire wall slowed the spiders down, and they either began to regroup or find a way to go around it. It turns out they were running away from the inferno. "Aguamenti." Aaron said in attempt to extinguish her flames. He walked back to her and stomped out the lone cinders trying to blaze up again.
They both stood there doubled over and panting. "Nice use of fire." Aaron commented. "Are you okay?"
Lillian started to cry. She didn't mean to almost get them kill. All because of her curiosity. She couldn't tell if he was mad at her or not. And he had every right to be mad her. She would be mad at anyone who tried to kill her. - you had better get going- she thought to him. Lillian wanted to make sure nothing was left behind to show that they had been there.
Aaron didn't know what to do about Lillian's sudden burst of tears. He awkwardly pulled her into a back patting hug. "I'm sorry I got us into this." He said to her. His voice was smooth and calm. He tried to calm her down. He gently helped her up and reassuringly held her hand as they walked to the entrance to the forest. The trees were getting thinner and the moon was in the sky. They've been out for hours. He hoped nobody would notice they're sudden disappearance.
Aaron stayed with Lillian at the edge of the forest. "See, we got out in no time." he said, failing to understand her sadness. He felt really guilty for dragging Lillian into this. He wouldn't be surprised if she hated him now.
Lillian frown and shook her hear. Aaron blamed him for something of her doing. She wanted to cry again. But she knew this would do nothing. Lillian hugged Aaron. " Please don't blame yourself. Its my fault you had to kill those vile spiders." Lillian pulled away from him " So I don't want to hear anything about you blaming yourself. " Lillian smiled and grabbed Aaron before he could respond. She didn't want to hear anything about Aaron blaming himself. Lillian went pulling them along what she thought was the right path when she sat down. She had gotten sleepy with all the walking and fighting they did. She waited to see what Aaron would say.
Aaron decided not to argue with her. "Why don't we both take the blame. Besides, what's life with out a little excitement?" he joked. He plumped himself down next to her. The moon was high in the sky now. "We should really need to get back into school now. Come on, I can't get back by myself." He offered his hand to help her up.
Lillian took his hand. She thought about it over and over again. She knew for the sake of her sanity she need to forget about it. They ran togethet untill she saw the bright lights of Hogwarts. She smiled placed her hand on Aarons head and with a carefree laugh she turned him invisible. She smiled at him again and ran away.
Aaron hardly managed to keep up with Lillian. Aaron had to admit for all her clumsiness she was a fast runner. They softly whispered the password into the common room. The portrait seemed confused but still admitted them in. Nearly breathless Aaron focused on becoming visible again. Soundless he came back into view and Lillian disappeared from his. This was unarguably the best Aaron has had despite the life endangerment. He was glad that Lillian decided to mess up his hair this morning. He bid Lillian good night.
