(Just a warning up front, this isn't my normal easy on the mind story. This story goes out to Pete who, wants to see Kaira return to her rightful place at her fathers side... Hope you like hun.)
Book of the Dark Lords' Shadow Prophecy
By Kiara Maul
Lighting bolts the size of giant serpents struck the field of battle. In what took no more than a few measly seconds, their bodies burned and smoked to ashes, some still crawled feebly to their downed neighbor seeking help that could and would not come. Where once there were hundreds of witches and wizards engaging in a final battle of darkness and light, now lay nothing but death and destruction, both good and evil alike, dead from this one single attack. Only a small group of survivors remained standing on that field.
Kiara stood on the parapet of the dark castle, looking darkly down upon what she had accomplished. All dead or dying, smoldering bodies, some of which she used to call friend. She looked with great indifference, she cared not for them now, all she desired was to see death, to feel their pain and to hear the moaning cries of the dying and to smell the sent of death. She relished this moment, taking in the total chaos the she had delivered. She let her eyes wonder over to the ones who had somehow managed to escape her wrath. The dark and evil emotions, playing over her beautiful features as she smiled a wicked and knowing smile at these unwanted survivors, began to grow again with a great longing to destroy them all. She felt a hand on her shoulder and looked up to gaze in the eyes of her father.
Dumbledore stood in the small circle he had been able to draw up around himself and the two other survivors of her attack. He laid a gentle hand on Harry's shoulder. Himself, Harry and Max had just held witness to all their closest friends destroyed utterly, by Harry's sister. Harry trembled in both anger and pain of their great loss. He stared into the eyes of his sister, with a hatred he'd never found in himself before. She was the one who had lured them all here; she was the one solely responsible for killing, not only his friends but also that one light of hope that the Order had ever had to destroy their father. Dumbledore looked down upon Harry then turned to Max, "The Shadow of the Dark Lord has truly come home. All, I'm afraid, is lost." For the first time ever seen by anyone, a great tear of sadness rolled down the cheek of this great wizard. The three survivors dissaperated to the safety, or the safest place they knew, Hoggwarts castle.
Kiara turned to gaze into those dreadful eyes of her father. "Why didn't you let me destroy them as well?" She couldn't understand how, when she knew Voldemort wanted more than anything to see her brother die, why he had stopped her. "Kiara, you have much to learn. First of all, in this mad blood lust of yours, you not only defeated their army, but ours as well. Not that there's any sorrow for the dead but, we could have used them." Kiara smiled at this. "No, father, your wrong. I don't need an army at my back. I am not as weak as you or that pathetic Dumbledore. The only reason you didn't permit me to kill them was that you wanted to do it yourself. Sad father, really sad --- Talk of my blood lust, perhaps you should look inside yourself." Voldemort laughed a dark laugh. "Perhaps I acted to hastily when I decided to let you live and join me, as appose to letting you die." Kiara's eyes flashed dangerously. "As if you gave me the choice---You know the old saying, father – Careful what you wish for, you just might get it. Well, I'd say you got it, perhaps a bit more than you really bargained for though, I think." With that said, Kiara turned and walked away from her father. Voldemort had to admit that she had a point. Somehow, he'd have to destroy her; he had made a monster that he only just controlled. One of these days, that monster was going to turn on him. For now however, he still needed her. She conveniently made sure of that.
(Hope you like so far)
Kiara walked through the halls of the old dark castle; slaves prostrated themselves on the floor at her approach. Kiara, feeling particularly peevish, kicked a small boy out of her way as she passed. As the boy crumpled into a heap on the ground, groaning, Kiara smiled. Up ahead she saw a figure approaching, his cape billowing out from behind him; Draco Malfoy strode up to her and bowed slightly. Kiara looked at him with all the same love of a fly for a toad. "What is it, Draco?" She said irritably. Draco straightened. "I saw what you did, I was coming to congratulate you on a job well done." He paused and regarded her present mood before continuing. He wasn't stupid enough to pursue her attentions if she clearly wanted to be left alone. He had already learned that lesson, one of which he defiantly did not want to repeat. "Only one question, if I may ask?" Draco continued. Kiara stood impatiently, wanting to get to the baths and rid herself of the day's strains. "Very well, accompany me to the baths, you can speak to me there." Shadows, cast from the touch lit hall, played across the two figures as they walked to the lower level of the castle, where the baths were located. Draco admired the light shining on her hair and longed to touch lit. He had finally got what he wanted and had Kiara away from Max but, now she was to twisted and evil to even care about him. Draco sighed longingly. This did not go unnoticed by Kiara who, smiled a dark and sinister smile at the thought of what she could do to him if she wished, the power over this wizard, the total control.
They entered the baths and, much to Draco's pleasure, she slipped out of her cloaks and walked into the baths without even acknowledging his presence. He admired her naked beauty and longed once again to be close to her. After Kiara had settled in the bath, she bade Draco to ask his question. "Why, did you let those three get away? I know you wanted more than anything to kill the man you used to call lover." Draco had a great look of displeasure written across his face. Kiara's expression once again darkened, "Do not speak to me of that weak pathetic, fool! I gave him a chance to follow me; he chose wrongly now, like the rest, he would suffer. As to your question, I did only as my Father wished." Draco sat there in silence, she had not excused him and he had no desire to leave so, he sat and watched her instead. "Well, don't just sit there gapping like a fool! Grab me that robe." Kiara stood up and was getting out; Draco found he was staring and quickly did as she commanded. He wrapped her up in the robe. Together they walked from the baths and into the garden.
OMG! YOU RULE!
this is great for a diffrent kind of story!
BUMP! (keep it going)
(Thanks. I'll write more a little later)
"I remember when you and I used to go out to my fathers garden, do you remember it?" Draco asked, trying to find some way of making Kiara at least, remember how she used to be. Kiara only looked at him with annoyance. "Do try and keep your memories to your self. Non of that matters anymore. The only thing that matters now, is killing those who stand up to us. Now, shut up and kiss me." Draco obliged, only, he wished it was different, she was so cold, so, unemotional.
(End chapter 1)
(Chapter 2.)
" Harry was pacing the floor. He had no intention of calming down as Dumbledore has suggested. "How could she have done such a thing?" Max was just sitting and staring out the window, unbelieving of the incredible loss he took in betraying Kiara and staying with the Order. He blamed himself in part, to loosing her to the Dark arts. He had done nothing to stop her. He thought it fun to watch her play around with the magic, it had always made her so happy. Who was he, to try and keep her away from the one thing that made her the happiest? "Harry, would you stop that pacing, please? You're beginning to give me a headache."
great story! please post more!!! :D
;Dyeah!
(Thanks, I will, later..lol)
;D
Harry turned and had intended to snap at Max but decided it best not to just now. He sighed. "Max, it's not your fault, I don't blame you any more than any one else would. The blame lays solely on Kiara herself. If she would have just –" Dumbledore walked in at that time and cut him off. "No Harry, I'm afraid it isn't her fault." He was carrying a rather large old book in his hand and laid it open on the table in front of them. "This is the ancient book of Prophecies. Most in here have never come to pass so; it was believed that they were all just false predictions of people long forgot. However, as I tried to point out to the rest of the Wizarding world, this particular one was not a fake. No one, of course, was willing to listen." He paused and regarded his listeners closely. The look on his face was both sad and a bit frightened. "The one who wrote this was Godric Gryffindor himself. The reason it was cast aside as rubbish was due to the fact that he and Salazar had become mortal enemies at the time. What I am about to read to you, is the truth of what has happened here. I also am afraid that it is my fault this has come to pass." Dumbledore watched their reactions closely. "I don't understand how Kiara turning on the world has anything to do with you..." Max said, a bit confused now. Dumbledore looked at him with a tired look. "Just listen and keep in mind, I knew of this, the whole time." Dumbledore read:
There will come to pass a son, direct descendant of Salazar Slytherin, He will be known as the greatest Dark Lord to walk the planet. It will also come to pass that he will father twins, one of which can be the destruction of the Dark Lord, the other, his salvation. The female will be known from here on as the Dark Lords Shadow for she truly will be his shadow, through out her young life she will be tempted to the Dark arts with a temper uncontrollable, until she comes of age and now becomes unstoppable. Her power will be that of the Gods themselves. I pray thee who read this, please to destroy the Dark Lords Shadow before she even has the chance to walk the earth, before she becomes the love of all who meet her. You will not see the demon in her; she will blind you to this.
If the Dark Lords Shadow comes home to her rightful position beside her fathers' side, the world as we so love it will be cloaked in darkness for a thousand years. There will be no hope for humanity; there will be no one to stand before her no man or no beast. All hope will be lost....
Dumbledore stopped there, "The rest is unreadable, often times when a person writes these, they are being controlled by an out side influence and when that tie is broken the rest becomes gibberish" Max and Harry stood in deep thought of what they had been told. "How is it then that you blame yourself for what has happened?" Harry asked. Dumbledore looked sad. *I knew of this when you were born, I should have killed her then...After however, I got to know her, I still wouldn't head the warnings, I, like any and all who crossed her path from there forward, truly fell in love with her charm I took her in as my own goddaughter, hoping, if, I was able to keep her away from her father, the Shadow Prophecy would not come to pass. I was wrong --" He trailed off. "So what your saying is that you blame yourself for not murdering an infant? You can hardly be expected to do that! No, it's not your fault, even if you did know; you at least had to try, right? No decent human could have done it." Harry couldn't believe that Dumbledore had even considered trying this. Dumbledore smiled a faint and wise old smile. "You are right Harry, as usual. No decent human could have. Maybe, there really is no one to blame but fate it's self." With that said and nothing else to do but wait, the three went to their own seats, thinking of ways to save what Muggles they could from the doom that was certain to come to them soon.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i luv it!!! pleez post more!!!

___________________ Chapter 3 __________________________
Draco rose from the bed, Kiara was still sleeping, the strains from a previous night of carnage and lust had taken their toll, Draco, got dressed and left the room. Kiara woke several hours later, got up and dressed in her usual black robes and went to see her father.
Kiara walked into the throne room of the castle where her father sat in the high backed throne waiting for her. "So, what is it today?" She asked, with no more feeling in her voice than that of a serpent. Load Voldemorts look was both dark and foreboding. Kiara did not flinch away from his stare nor did she fear him in the least. He needed her and even if he didn't, he was really no match for her power now. She only did as he wished to serve her own purpose for she, needed him just as badly as he needed her. Voldemorts followers would certainly turn against her if she killed him just now, so, she waited. "We attack the Muggle headquarters, Take down the one they call their Queen, first thing this evening. I trust you are ready?" He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named studied her. "I am ready, we can go now, if you wish. Get this over with; who cares what gets in the way, they won't even know we're coming. Week pathetic humans, they hide behind those mechanical contraptions they call weapons, relying solely on the dream that the more machinery they posses the stronger they are. They don't even know we're out here; they are to blind to see beyond their own self-absorbed existence. Relying on some God that doesn't even exist. I'll show them what a God really is. It will do the world good to see them all destroyed." Kiara spat in disgust. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named only laughed. "No, daughter, we eat first, you may be able to go through the day with out food but the rest of us must eat and prepare. We will meet here, in the throne room just before sunset. Then, we move." Kiara turned without a word and left his presence, with out even bothering to acknowledge rather he had finished speaking or not.
Kiara met Lucius Malfoy in the corridor, on her way to the dining hall. Lucius stopped and sneered at her. He still didn't trust her and knew she intended to kill her father, at some point. Lucius was Voldemorts most trusted and devoted servant and Kiara felt no love loss for him either. "I'd mind my manners if I were you, Lucius. I don't kill you only because my father likes you." Kiara growled. Lucius bowed mockingly. "I think. Kiara, perhaps you should be the one who watches her back. I will not let you harm my Lord. I know what your up to and you just might find me to be a greater threat than you think, princess." Kiara turned on him. Before Lucius could react, he was flat up against the wall, unable to move. Kiara's' normally beautiful green eyes glowed as red as her fathers and she was trembling with rage. "You will learn your place, SERVANT. Yes, that's right, servant and don't you forget it. Your life grows shorter every day, soon, the fact that my father wants to keep you around will wear too thin then, I WILL kill you." Lucius stared at her with nothing less than complete hatred. Kiara let him down and walked away from him, not trusting herself to keep him alive and in her presence any longer. And you, Dear Princess, had best not turn your back on me again. Lucius said to himself, watching her walk away.
Kiara entered the Dinning Hall in an angry mood. Her run in with Lucius had disturbed her more than she let on. She could easily destroy him in a fight but Lucius Malfoy didn't work that way. He would find a way to deceive her, to destroy her with out her even knowing he was there. He truly was a rival not to be ignored. Draco was sitting at one of the tables and Kiara noticed him. She walked over, "I saw you father, today. If you value his life at all you'll beseech him to mind himself. I don't take kindly to fools who dare to defy me with open aggression." Kiara growled. Draco was silent; he had no more love for his father than she did for her own. Many times he had dreamt of killing him, himself. "No, none at all. Kill him if you wish. Only, you might want to wait until you are assured that your fathers servants are as loyal to you as they are to him." Draco said carefully and with little care in his tone. This did nothing to Kiara's mood. She had hoped to strike a sore button in him to raise an argument but he annoyingly agreed with her. Instead, she turned to one of the slaves and simply stood up, grabbed her by the throat, snapped her neck and smiled. Draco watched in horror as to the ease in which she had done this, Kiara simply sat down and began to eat. How, he thought, could she find so much pleasure in the death of so many and simply smile like she'd done nothing. Draco stood and left the hall, no longer hungry. Kiara watched him go. Still just as weak as the rest, How could I have ever feared this man. Kiara thought to herself. "You! Get this thing off the floor and out of here before it starts collecting flies." Kiara hailed another slave to come pick up the body of the young girl she'd just so unemotionally killed then, turned her attention back to her food and ate. Killing that girl had brightened her spirits a bit.
i luv it!!!!! :D pleez post more soon!!!
(First off i must apologize for this part, It may offend some)
Suddenly, 50 or more witches and wizards, headed by a hooded figure of a woman appear in the Palace. Screams and sirens echo through out the halls. Guns fire and people fall. The hooded figure walks to the throne room, all the Muggles who stand in her way are either simply tossed aside to fight again or fall, screaming hideously to the ground.
Kiara walks to the throne where the Queen of the land sits, surrounded by a personal guard. She takes off her hood and bows to the Queen. "My name is Kiara Maul, your majesty. I come with a duel purpose to your throne room. First, to make your pathetic race acknowledge the existence of the magical community living in your very midst." Kiara stands and begins to laugh darkly. The Guard around the Queen all begin to smolder and scream out in anguish as their bodies catch fire and they die, burnt to death, nothing left now but heaps of smoking burnt flesh. "Second.... I come to kill you." Kiara walks to the Queen, reaches out and then straight into her chest, pulling out her heart, Kiara watches as the beloved Queen of England slumps down in her throne. Kiara turns with a wicked smile and looks down at the still beating heart in her hand, then, she simply drops it to the ground as another wave of desperate Muggles come running in to attack. Kiara plays their game, allowing then to shoot her several times then, when she is approached for dead, grabs the Muggle soldier by the throat, ripping it out, stands and laughs as the rest continue their pathetic attack. "I grow tired of this game!" Kiara yells. All the soldiers in the room suddenly stop, dropping their weapons, each wearing a curious expression across their faces. Suddenly, each Muggles explodes; body parts and blood are strewn through out the throne room. Kiara is left untouched and dissaperated back to the castle.
whoa :o......I LUV IT!!! PLEEZ POST MORE!!!
(Thanks hun)
welcome! :)
Harry was reading the Prophet and his face paled. "What is it?" Max asked. Harry tossed him the paper. "Oh no, they already started." He paused then threw the paper across the room. "Why does she leave such a mess? Killing them is one thing, but what she's doing is unforgivable! I don't understand, it would be easier if she just simply used the killing curse on them...." Max trailed off, he knew it was Kiara, the work she did on the place was unmistakable. He knew she didn't do things clean, she liked a challenge and the way she had totally destroyed and bloodied the Palace was, too much like her. He had hoped that he could blame something of this on Voldem0rt but it was too obvious that Kiara had every thing to do with it.
Dumbledore walked in the room, his look was grave. The attack last night had proven that the Dark Lords Shadow was indeed as the Prophecy for told and there was nothing he could do to stop it. "This is just the beginning...if only.." The sadness in the room was great. The three of them sat silently for quite a while before Harry finally got up and left. "I need to do something, I can't just sit around when the world as we know it turns to total chaos." He stormed out of the room. "You don't suppose that Harry might still be able to connect with her, do you?" Max asked of Dumbledore. "I don't think she would let him in. Why do you ask?" Max didn't answer right away. He had a thought, a long shot but... "I was hoping that maybe, I could talk with her, some how.." Dumbledore cut him off there. "No, she'd kill you on sight. You betrayed her and I'm afraid, there is no mending this one Max. You'd only be committing suicide."
it's so exciting! pleez continue!!! :D
( I will a little later, thanks hun :))
(welcome :D)
(As soon as ppl decide to start reading again, I'll post more. By the way...I am finished with it now. heeheehee)
(I know I said i was going to wait but, I just really feel I need to writ in this mood right now so, here it goes...)
Max didn't say anything; he was busy remembering what had happened to start this whole thing off. As much as every one kept telling him that it wasn't his fault, he knew, he knew it was because of the Prophecy surrounding himself. It had warned that if he betrayed th Dark Lords Shadow that all would be lost. He was the only oe who could have stopped this and hr had failed, miserably.
****************************************
Kaira appeared in the throne room, a deep, dark smile etched across her beautiful face. She looked as though she was in compleat ectsy from what she had accomplished. She walked to her father's side and bowed her head in greeting. "It has been done. No one will be able to deny us now. Their Queen is destroyed and her palace lies in waste. THe only survivors are those who were needed to report what they witnessed. Of course, the Ministry will get involved and try to disclaim this but now that we have openly attacked their Qeen, the Muggle authorities will refuse to keep our secret any longer." Voldem0rt smiled, he knew she would do well. He also knew that she was right in assuming the Muggle authorities would no longer be so ready to cooperate with the Ministry after this, and that was precisely what he wanted. "Our next attack will be upon the upper districts. We will need to bide our time a bit to rally more support. We must, replace those that you have destroyed. As I said, they will be needed." Voldem0rt knew this would perturb her and enjoyed, taking her down a notch or two. He just couldn't stand watching her delighted expession, he wanted more than anything to keep her angry. It would ultimately cost him in the end but he was only concerned about the here and now. Kiara's expesion quickly turned to anger. "Why do we wait? I've told you, I do not need them. I can do it myself!" Kiara's temper rose with each word. Her temper was truely, uncontrolled. Voldem0rt smiled at this. She turned from her father and stormed out of the room, her cloak furled out behind her. Voldem0rt positioned his hands under his chin in the form of a pyramid. "You see that, Lucius? Just as easily angered as pleased. When the time comes, be aware of that anger. She only just, controls it." Lucius stepped out from the shadows, where he had been hidden, a dark and evil grin, pasted on his equally evil face. "Have ni fears My Lord. I WILL, kill her when the time comes. I certainly have no intentions of becoming another of her casualties."

Chapter 4
Kiara stormed through the castle halls, the air about her frenzied, whipping her hair and cloak about fiercely. Any one who unknowingly tried to pass her was flung against a wall ot through a door as she passed. Just who in the he11 does he think he is! He holds me back, if only I could break this bond of his. She thought as she continued her tirade throughout the palace. Soon, I will break out of it and then, we'll see who controls who around here.
Draco waas coming down the hall behind her, following at a safe distance so as not to become her next victim. Suddenly Kiara stopped and turned around to meet him. "What do you want?" She glared at him. Draco stopped, not knowing how she had felt his presence behind her when she wa clearly busy with her own thoughts. "Well, don't just stand there looking stupid! Answer me!" Kaira yelled at him. Draco now knew she was only just aggravated and not truely angry; she never yelled when she was angry. "I was just wondering why you let your father get under your skin the way he does, that's all." Draco replied in an offhand manner. Kiara narrowed her eyes. "And just how do you know what has set me off?" Kiara asked, curiously now. An all to familiar smile crossed his handsome face. He laughed. "Do you truely think that i let the world pass me by, leaving me unaware? No Kiara, I know more than you think. Your not the only one that can creep around this forsaken place, annoticed." He replied almost accusingly. Kaira studdied him closely for a moment before speaking her next words, which, she chose carefully. "Walk with me for a bit, Draco, it would seem, we need to chat." Draco aproached her carefully, still not fully trusting her intentions. Kiara smiled at this. Even though he knew she needed the information he had to offer, he was still apprehensive about approaching her. She liked this.
**********************************************
"I love you Max." Kiara said sweetly. The sun was shinning on her beautiful face; Max couldn't take his eyes off her. She was so beautiful. The way her green eyes sparkled with a brilliance that even a perfect emerald, couldn't match, the sofness of her skin, her hair, everything was so perfect. He wanted her more than anything else in the world. "I love you too, Kiara." Suddenly the dream changed, Max was in bed with Amy; they were in the throughs of passion. The door flew open and Kiara stepped in the room. Kiara NOO!!! Max sat up in bed, he was shaking; he kept having the same dream, over and over again. It had happened, he had committed the ultimate deception and she was lost to him forever. She killed Amy that day, right before she left. He had watched as she ripped her heart from her chest and tossed it to him; it landed on the floor at his feet. He also remembered her words, as clearly as if she was standing here now and speaking them. "There, now you can't tear her heart out as easily as you did mine. I hope you realise what it is that you have done. I was going to marry you, I would have been yours for eternity, all you had do was wait, wait to have me, now, you'll never know the feeling of holding me like that; to have me compleatly. Your betrayal will cost you more than just my love, I will make sure every one and everything you hold dear to you is destroyed. I will not stop until I have reached my goal, their deaths and the blood of all those who stand before me will be on your hands, not mine." Then she simply disappeared. Max got up and dressed, he left the room and walked outside, he was going to try and talk with Kiara, no matter what happened, if she killed him then, at least his suffering would end.
ooooo...pleez continue!!!
Kiara and Draco walked back out to the garden again before Draco told her what he had witnessed. "So, they are plotting against me then. This is no suprise however, I wonder when they think the correct time will be?" Kiara replied, after Draco had finished his report. "If you don't mind me saying, youcan be a bit thick sometimes, Kaira." Draco said it so quickly and with out any real resolve that Kiara smiled at his remark. "What ever are you talking about?" Draco sighed and shook his head. "I think this power of yours has blinded you. It's obvious that they plan on trying to destroy you the moment you break Voldem0rt's hold on you." Kiara started to laugh. Draco looked at her as if she truely had gone insane. "I don't see the humor in all this Kaira. What ever are you laughing at?" Although, he was sure he knew the answer before she even spoke. Kiara stopped laughing and turned a dark grin towards Draco. Her eyes flashed with that now, all to familiar excitement she got whenever she was presented with a particularly dangerous challenge. "Those old fools, do they really think they can destroy me?" She begen to laugh again. "Well, I think I'll except their challenge as it has been presented to me." When she had finished speeking, she turned again to Draco and grabbed the back of his head and once again began kissing him. This time, however, it was Draco who took total charge of the situation. He backed her into a tree and slammed her roughly against it. Kiara winced as her head hit the trunk. Draco only smiled.
Max had managed to make his way to the castle grounds; he stood just outside the protected garden, watching Draco and Kiara. A sudden wave of jealousy washed over him. He knew this was what would come of his fling with Amy but still, he had detested the way Draco had always told him that He'd loose her to him, how Draco always warned him to stay away. Draco Malfoy had been and always will be his greatest enemy. To see Kaira with him now was almost more than he could stand; he turned himself away. He'd have to wait for her to be alone, he'd have to calm down and find a place to hide until such an opportunity presented it's self.
wow! pleez post more soon!!! :)
(Thanks hun, I will, but no more for tonight. ;))
np :)...awe :(...ok
(LOL, Sorry, this story tends to put me in a bit of a dark mood so... I think that;s enough for now. heehee)
lol...dark mood? wonder why...
(hmmmmm, i don't know, I may have to sit and ponder this for a bit...lol)
lol
With luck, he had found a slave who had mentioned needing to clean Kiara's quarters and followed her. He walked behind her and into the room in which Kiara, obviously stayed. Now, he just need wait for her return, hopefully, she would do so, alone.
After the slave left, Max walked around the room. This was definitely Kiara's space. Everything was in its proper place and there was a proper place for everything. Just like her. He smiled at the notion that at least there was one thing about her that hadn't changed. Max continued walking around, picking items up and studying them. She had been here a short time but had already collected a great mass of trinkets and such. He heard a noise then put the cloak around himself and backed into a corner to wait.
Kiara walked in her room. She immediately knew some one was there. She didn't let on she knew, instead, she simply walked to her dresser and undressed then put her sleeping gown on. All the while, searching with her mind, she smiled, she had found him and knew, just who it was. Kiara turned toward the Corner where Max stood, cloaked in invisibility. "Hello, Max, you can show yourself now. I know you're here." Max slowly let the cloak drop to the floor. "Ok, Kiara, I'm here, you found me." Kiara narrowed her eyes at him. "What do you want? I should kill you right now, however, I'm willing to hear you out. This better, be good." Kiara turned her back on him and walked to a chair and sat. "Well, don't just stand there looking the fool! Speak man, this is your life you're holding back." A dark smile spread across her face as she spoke. She really had no intentions of keeping him alive for long any way however, It would be a shame, not to have him, before I do, he is a very, nice prize, after all. She thought, studying his incredably well shaped body as he walked forward to stand before her.
Max began, "Look, Kiara, I'm sorry for what I did, don't you think I've suffered enough? Don't you think the whole world has suffered enough? What your doing is insane. Stop this madness and come back with me...." Kiara began a low, menacing laugh, which stopped Max from speaking further. "Sorry he says." She laughed again then quickly stopped and her posture changed once again to that of an angry snake, ready to strike at any time. "Didn't I tell you I'd be sure to make you suffer? Did I not tell you that all you hold dear, I would destroy? No, Max, I will not stop. I fully intend on keeping this last promise to you. Unlike you, my dear, I keep my promises." Kiara moved her eyes over him with a hungry look that Max could not mistake. "Why do you look a me like this? If you're going to kill me, then do so and get it over with." Max spoke both bravely and angrily. Kiara simply laughed. "No, Max, I think that, against my better judgment, I will keep you alive, at least, a bit longer. You see, what I do, I do for you. It would all be a waste if you weren't around to witness it all though to the end. Perhaps, if I feel, you truly have suffered enough, I'll kill you." Almost as soon as Kiara quit speaking, Max was flung to the wall and two guards entered the room. Kiara smiled as she made her way over to him. She ran her hand over his chest and looked at him with that same hunger as before. "I want him put in the dungeon, Do NOT harm him. If I find one hair out of place, you'll both answer to me." She turned and released Max so the guards could disarm him and take him away. "I'll be seeing you, Max." Kiara said then dismissed them.
ooo...i luv your story! pleez post more soon!
Next morning, Kiara sat in her chair, looking out over the misty grounds of the surrounding field. She was quietly sipping her tea and waiting, waiting for the inevitable show of Draco Malfoy. She knew that once he caught wind of what she had done, he'd be breaking down her door in a fit of rage. Sure enough, just as she thought, there came a rather loud knock at her door. "Open up! I know you're in there!" Came the voice she had been waiting for. Kiara, still, with her back to the door, allowed it to open for him. Draco strode in, his manner was angry, nay, furious. "Is it true? Have you got Max down there in that dungeon! If so, why haven't you killed him?" Draco yelled angrily. Kiara let a smile cross her face, although Draco could not see it. "I do as I please, Draco. What I have down there in my dungeon is really of no concern to you." Kiara almost purred. She could hear both the anger and the great jealousy in his voice and she liked it. "You can't keep him! I forbid it! He needs to die and if you wont do it then I will!" Came Draco's angry reply. Kiara stood up and turned on him. "You forbid it? Since when are you in a position to forbid me of anything? I will keep him as long as I feel he is useful. If you, my lover, dare touch one single hair on that mans head, you'll find yourself, in more pain than you can imagine." Kiara spoke in a quiet, and most disturbingly calm tone. Draco narrowed his eyes. "You just keep him for another sex toy, I know what you want him around for." He said spitefully. Draco was suddenly flung to the floor. "I have had enough of your whining. Need I remind you of your place again?" Kiara said, in the same, unnerving calm voice, as she watched him stand. "I think I have become to soft with you. Perhaps another lesson is in order." She finished. Draco stood before her, shaking in anger. "Do what you will, Shadow." He practically hissed. Kiara raised her brow. "Oh, is that what you call me now? Shadow, I'll show just who's the shadow here."
Draco woke in Kiara's room. He didn't know how long he'd been out; all he knew was that his whole body ached. He had paid the price he knew he would, for defying Kiara. However, he didn't care. All he knew was that she had decided to keep Max alive and he didn't like that one bit. Jealousy such as he hadn't felt for years, began to grow inside him. He felt that Kiara belonged to him now and no one else, especially Max. He slowly got up, looked around and then painfully stood and left the room.
great story! pleez continue! :)
_____________________Chapter 5_________________________
Harry read the paper again. He found what he looked for on the front page, as usual. Kiara had struck again. He read out loud:
All the upper quadrant of Muggle society has been wiped out. Voldemorts followers have struck again. The one known as The Dark Lords Shadow has completely destroyed any and all living things there. Men, women and children alike, She doesn't seem to discriminate. They way the Ministry sees it, is that all she seems to care, is to rid the magic world of any and all Muggle existence. No one seems to be able to get close to her. After the great destruction of most the Ministry officials at the battle of the Shadows castle, there doesn't seem to be any one to help. This writer has decided to flee from this country in hopes to escape her wrath. This will be my last report. I urge each and every one to do the same. If you have families, take them as far from this carnage as you can......
Harry trailed off; the rest of the article contains nothing more than a warning of impending danger, he already knew was to come.
"Any word from Max?" Harry looked up and asked. Dumbledore shook his head. "No, I'm afraid not. I know he went to Kiara. What he was thinking, I do not know. He is most likely dead already." Dumbledore replied. Although, he didn't look convinced. Harry stood up, putting the paper down on the table. "Do you think the Muggles we've managed to bring here will listen to us?" He asked, now beginning to pace the floor.
ooo, pleez post more soon!!! :)
Dumbledore thought a moment before answering. "Harry, they have only just now been faced with the reality that they are not the only race of intelligent beings on this planet and what they have seen of the magical world, lying under there very noses, is nothing but mayhem and destruction. I think that we will be lucky if they don't all try and kill themselves. No, I don't think they will listen to us at all, maybe a few but not all of them. No." Was his matter of fact answer to Harry's obvious, changed of subject question.
The door to the room Harry and Dumbledore were sitting in flew open. In walked a familiar and happily welcome figure. "Those Muggles are nothing more than a bunch of annoying animals! Rude, very rude, here we are, trying to save the lot of em and what thanks do we get? Curses thrown at us, accusations that we are only just waiting to feed them to the wolves...I tell you, I can almost agree with Kiara and that snake of hers." McGonnigal came storming into the room. "Problem with our charges Minerva?" Dumbledore said, barley keeping a smile from sliding across his aged face. "Oh, they are about to find out what it is to have an angry WITCH, after them..." Harry couldn't help it, he burst out laughing. "I don't think I've seen you this angry since the time when Ron and I decided to fly that car to school." He said between fits of laughter. McGonnigal turned on him then, suddenly laughing her self. "You know Harry? Your right, I don't think I've been that angry in a very long time. Since you left the school, things seem to have gotten easier on me." She laughed. Then they stopped, remembering now that the school, along with just about every other thing they all held so dear had been put aside, no time for those tings now that Kiara had gone through with her Prophecy, to dangerous to have so many people in one spot. Suddenly Harry stood up from his chair, his exposition no long cheery yet, dark and angry. "I'll be in my room if you need me." He turned and walked slowly out the door. Dumbledore watched him leave. Ron had been one of the fallen at the castle and this was the first time Dumbledore had heard him mention his name since then. He knew it was hard for him, seeing his best friend disintegrated by his sister with nothing any one could have done to stop it. Minerva turned a sad face to Dumbledore. "I almost thought he was going to be alright, for a moment." She said as she took a seat at the table. "I think he stumbled onto that one, wasn't thinking. Well, he'll get through this; he just needs more time to think. We couldn't even have a proper sending for any of those fallen souls lost on that battlefield. There wasn't anything left of them. She so totally destroyed them that...only piles of ashes where left to be seen. The wind soon scattered their remains across the field and that was it." Dumbledore explained. Although it was hard for him as well, he had seen many die, lost many friends before and was able to recount the memory with little pain. The only pain he suffered now was the total betrayal of his goddaughter. However, he couldn't even blame that on her, it was fate that played them, and there was nothing a mortal, or magical, man could do to stop it.
Harry paced his bedroom floor. Something of which he'd done a lot of as of late. He couldn't get the last picture of Ron from his mind. He had looked at him, just before she attacked, Ron's smile at the excitement of the battle changed so suddenly, then, there was nothing but a pile of ashes where his best friend had once stood. The look of knowing in Ron's eyes, the look of pain as he was first hit with the bolt, then nothing, nothing more of the friend Harry had cherished more than any other in his life. He hated his sister, even if she did stop now, it would make no difference to him, the only reason he even cared to help with the Muggles now was, for Ron. His family had loved Muggles so much and Harry thought this was the only thing he could do now to keep the name of Weasley alive and in him. The whole family, save Bill, had been destroyed out there. Bill was still in Egypt; he hadn't come back to this hell. Harry didn't blame him. Although, at the rate Kiara was moving, he too would soon have to deal with it. Harry laid down on his bed and closed his eyes, he began searching for his sister, just o see if maybe he could feel something of her, to send her his thoughts to show her what she had done to him, although, he really didn't think or even care, if she cared.
Kiara was sitting in the garden, suddenly she realized she had dropped her guard and she felt a strong force as Harry's emotions hit her all at once. First she began to feel agonized then a great hatred filled her, greater than that in which she now felt for the world. Then Kiara smiled. "So, brother, wants to play the emotion game does he? Well, lets just see how he likes mine..." Kiara said it out loud then a dark foreboding expression crossed her lovely features, this is what Draco saw as he walked into the garden. He stopped and watched, not wanting to disrupt her in any way, he had heard what she said and thought it might be amusing to think of just how Harry might try to handle some of the emotions Kiara held in that cold, darkened heart of hers. He smiled at the prospect.
Suddenly Harry's body convulsed with great pain as he had never before in his life felt. He doubled over and threw up. The pain not subsiding then suddenly he was filled with such a sense of loss and fear that he began to cry, he couldn't understand it at first but, he figured it out when he suddenly had a lustful feeling for Draco. He laughed despite the pain and anguish. Great rage, that which equaled his own welled up inside him now. Then suddenly a coldness that made even the deepest pit of ice seem hot, welled up inside his very soul. He shivered against it, he seemed to be momentarily lost in this feeling, and it felt as though he would die in there. Harry quickly gained some of his senses back and pushed hard, closing himself off from his sister. That, was something he most definitely would NOT attempt again. She could have killed him with just the emotions and feelings burning inside her. They were so overpowering that his mind was still reeling in pain. He was having great difficulty bringing himself back under control. Harry stood and took a step towards the door, his body wretched again, a few more steps and he fell to the floor. His mind couldn't handle it any longer and he passed into thankful darkness.
Kiara stood up, she was smiling, Harry had not been able to cut her out totally, and he had passed out before she left his mind. She knew she hurt him, she knew he wouldn't try that again, not that is, if he was smart. Kiara knew she could have easily killed him but it wasn't killing him that made her happy, it was the torturing of those who once dared to love her that made her smile these days. She turned and noticed Draco standing in the garden and wondered how long he had been there. "Spying on me is very unbecoming of you Draco." She said to him as she came to stand before him, a smile painted on her face. "I wasn't spying, I simply wanted to see you smile again, I knew that playing your little games with your brother would do just that. Did he suffer much?" Draco returned her smile. Kiara let out a small laugh. "Why, as a matter of fact, yes he did, I'd be willing to bet he doesn't try that game with me again." Kiara kissed him lightly o the cheek then turned and walked away. Draco decided it best not to follow her at this time. If she had wanted him to do so, she would have said so. He wasn't quite ready to have her angry with him again. Instead, he turned towards the dungeons; he wanted to have a word or two with Max.
(Thanks, I have written more and will post later. ;))
yay! :)
Draco entered the dungeon; he headed for the room in which he knew Max would be held. Upon approaching, he noticed it empty. A sudden flash of anger crossed his face. He turned and went to the guards "Where's the prisoner?" He demanded to know. The guard looked at him with a bored expression. "Lady Kiara has requested him to be sent to her quarters, Lord Malfoy." He answered. Draco's anger rose, then, with out warning, he pulled his wand, "CRUCIO!" he yelled, the guard hit the ground, squealing like a pig. Just as suddenly as he had started, Draco stopped. "How long ago." He managed to say, although between clenched teeth. The guard, gasping for breath, answered as best he could. "Not — ten – minutes –" He passed out. Draco then abruptly turned on his heel, his cloak, flying around and out behind him as he strode quickly away.
"Why is it that you keep me around? And why, do you feel the need of my company?" Max asked, as he sat in a chair, opposite Kiara. Kiara let a slight smile cross her face, as she listened to his voice. "Don't worry Max, I will kill you soon enough. However, there are a few things I wish for you to whiteness first." Kiara replied. "I don't wish to whiteness the atrocities you commit. They are nothing more than the senseless raging of your insane blood lust." Max answered, knowing she didn't care what he wanted. Kiara laughed. "You think I honestly care what you want? No, I think you're smarter than that. There is – other reasons as well." Kiara replied, once again looking at him with the hunger of a ravaged lion for an injured prey. Max smiled, knowing full well her intentions. It aroused him; he too longed to have her in that way. As hard as he tried to hide it, he could not. The thought of having Kiara was certainly on the top of his list. Even if it was just her body, he knew, he had lost her soul, a long time ago. "I wouldn't object to your attentions, if you are so hungry to fulfill a sexual desire in me." Max replied, now looking at her with the same, raw hunger she bestowed upon him.
(Sorry it's been so long but here we go, more for you to toy with. lol)
Draco stormed through the castle halls, headed for Kiara's apartments. He soon found himself standing at her door, his whole body frozen as if he couldn't move. Finally, he managed to raise his arm and pounded on the door.
"Kiara let me in! I know you've got him in there with you." Draco yelled angrily. He heard a small laugh from behind the door, it was Kiara, she was mocking his anger, and it only proved to further enrage him.
"Oh do come in Draco, I should have guessed you'd be along soon enough." Kiara replied as the door swung open to allow his entry.
Draco strode in the room; every movement he made was evident of his anger. Kiara looked up from her position on her chair. Her expression was that of a snake, welcoming a rat, into it's home. This was what stopped Draco in his tracks. Many times before she had looked upon him in anger but this time, it was quite different. He suddenly felt as though he didn't want to be there. He felt a great fear of his life, welling up inside him as Kiara watched his movements with those brilliant green eyes of hers, they seemed to bore straight into his very soul, seemed to burn an image of his impending doom upon his sight.
"You wanted to see me Draco? Well, speak up man, I don't have all day you know." Kiara said in a hissing tone. Her voice reflecting the danger warning that Draco knew he should be very wary of now.
Draco looked from Max to Kiara then turned an angry gaze upon Max again who, sat there with a great smirk on his face.
"I – I only wanted to be sure of your safety Kiara. When I had heard that you brought this, wizard back to your apartment, I was scared for your safety." Draco replied as calmly as he could muster.
Kiara began a sort of laugh, although it seemed to Draco, and Max as well, that this was not a laugh that meant things were ok. Instead of making one feel light and happy, this laugh, if that's what one called it, made both Max and Draco feel cold, almost frozen from with in their own bodies. It sent a chill through their spines and made them tremble unwillingly. She looked between the two of them and her laugh ceased. She replaced it with a look that told stories of pain and suffering. Neither of them wished to be in her presence any longer.
"It would seem to me that the two of you should like to continue your life time of hatred and the lust of blood for one another's soul. Should I permit this? I think not. I do believe it is truly time for me to show you just who is in charge here." Kiara's eyes flashed a shade of blood red that sent further chills down the spines of her two male companions. "Oh, don't you worry my dearest Draco, I have no intentions of killing you, at least not at the present time. You will however, be taught a lesson in manners, a lesson I must admit was my fault for not teaching you in the first place." She paused, now turning her gaze upon the man she had once loved more than life it's self. Her expression turned a bit softer for a moment then hardened just as quickly.
"I never questioned your –" Draco started then was cut off.
"You will not speak to me unless I ask you to speak to me." Kiara growled as she turned her gaze back upon him.
Then, with out warning or even the slightest movement from Kiara the two wizards both fell to the floor, screaming in agony and terror as their worst fears and pains engulfed their minds and bodies. Kiara sat in her chair looking upon their trembling bodies as if this was some sort of fine amusement for her. A wicked smiled crossed her face. She kept them withering on the ground for several minutes before finally putting a stop to their suffering.
"As I have so often explained to people, you will be surprised what you can live through." She paused to gaze upon their bodies, both lying where they fell, unable to move and breathing heavily from the punishment bestowed upon them. Kiara stood and walked over to each wizard, kicking him on the ribs.
"Your nothing to me, either of you. I could have easily killed you both with just the thought however, I must admit, you, Draco Malfoy, still have some use to me as of yet and you, Max, I'm not prepared to end your suffering so quickly." Kiara laughed that same chilling laugh as before then she simply strode from the room, the door swinging shut, and latching behind her, Leaving the two wizards lying on the floor, both wanting nothing more than to kill her. Both locked together in the same room.
THANK YOU! I have been waiting for more on this story. Thank you Thank you thank you.
I just love how evil you have made Kiara. It's rather interesting the things you put this character through in all your stories.
(I thank you for your kindness Damion. I am glad you like the story.)
CAPTER 6
Several hours had passed before Harry finally gained consciousness again. He turned painfully over to his back, the blood from his lip now dried on his cheek. He assumed he must have bit his lip when Kiara had made her final attack upon him. He sat up slowly, holding his pounding head in his hands and waiting for the room to stop spinning, he stood.
"I don't think that was the best idea I've had in a long time." He chuckled to himself as he made his way over to the chair seated next to his desk.
Harry took out a piece of parchment and a quill, filled the quill with ink, then began scribbling a letter to Bill. He was sure that it was time for him to come and help out with what was going on around the old town. It was Bill's turn to take some responsibility for all this as well.
Bill,
I know this is asking a lot but we could really use your help around here. Kiara has grown ever stronger and her forces have totally disrupted all order to any Muggle life on this side of the world. Your parents once said that to live a life with out the Muggles would be the same as living a life with out purpose. Do you remember those words? I do and that is the reason I fight so hard to keep myself sane around here. Dumbledore has worn down; it is evident in his every move. I don't think he's going to be much longer in this dark world my sister has created. I believe she has taken that spark from him; the last one he had left in him. Please, consider coming back, you can't hide out forever; Kiara will eventually make her way to your side of the planet any way.
Harry Potter
Harry rolled up the letter and then walked to the owlery. He called an owl down from the rafters, tied the letter to its leg, and sent it out the window. Then he turned and went back down to the meeting room in which he had left so abruptly earlier.
Dumbledore was snoozing at the table over a stack of old manuscripts. Harry smiled, Dumbledore was still seeking to find a way out of this terror they called their world now. Even though, he as well as the rest of the people involved here, knew, there was no hope, only their efforts to try and save what Muggles they could from certain destruction. That was the only thing they could do now. Harry cleared his throat. Dumbledore stirred and raised an even more aged and lined face than ever at Harry.
"Oh, excuse me Harry, I was just resting my eyes for a moment." Dumbledore said, a bit embarrassed at being caught in a moment of obvious weakness.
"I sent a letter to Bill, I hope to get him to come and help us here. We need all the people we can get. I only hope he can manage it." Harry said as he strode over to the opposite table from where Dumbledore sat.
The days passed and soon, Harry was once again sitting at the table reading the Daily Prophet with a great look of distaste on his handsome face.
"She's struck again. This time it was at a Muggle school." Harry said, now looking pale at the thought of how she could possibly have killed all those young children without another thought.
"I don't get it! She knows by now that we occupy this place and yet she does nothing to try and attack us. Why? Why does she keep killing the innocent in all this?" Harry finished, throwing the paper down on the table and standing up.
"She isn't the one choosing the targets Harry. Voldemort is doing that art. She is his shadow of death, the one to do his bidding until such a time comes when she tiers of it. Trust me Harry, when that time comes, you won't be so eager to have her looking your way." McGonnigal replied to his outburst.
"No, I'd sooner she come and kill me than having her running about destroying Muggle children and leaving others to mop up after she has left. It's Horrid the things she does to those poor Muggles. Listen to this –" Harry began,
BUMP BUMP BUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
--- In the aftermath of the Dark Lords Shadow was left nothing more than a lake of blood and body parts. No child or teacher, for that matter, survived. The school contained over four hundred students and faculty.
Harry put the paper down again, tears began to well up in his eyes, and he quickly blinked them away.
"I just can't stand it. Why do the Muggles continue to collect in masses? Don't they get it yet? She's out to wipe them all off the face of the planet." Harry finished as he sat heavily down on the chair he had recently stood from.
McGonnigals' face paled as well, she had only some idea the severity of Kiara's rage. She didn't know how horrid her wrath had become. McGonnigal hadn't been reading the papers, she hadn't wanted to know exactly what monster it was that they faced.
"Harry, have you heard from Bill yet?" She asked quietly.
"Yes, I did. He should be arriving this evening sometime. Seems he finally agrees that this is where he should be." Harry replied with the same quietness as Minerva.
Later that evening, Bill arrived as expected. He came riding on his broom and entered the school with a very sullen look on his face. Harry met him at the front door and they quickly walked to the meeting room where Professor Dumbledore and McGonnigal awaited their arrival.
"Dumbledore, McGonnigal." Bill greeted them as he and Harry walked through the door.
"Bill, I am so glad to see you. I'd ask how it goes but I already know." McGonnigal replied to his less than friendly greeting.
Dumbledore continued to sit in his chair, looking more weathered and worn than Bill had ever seen him. Bill gave Harry a worried look then turned a friendly gaze upon Dumbledore.
"I hope you brought with you a strong will and a mind to be put through some hard labor and mental slaps." Dumbledore greeted Bill. His manner seemingly less friendly than he'd ever been when talking to Cornelius Fudge.
Bill wasn't surprised, Harry had told him how Dumbledore had been acting. He just wondered how much longer until he finally snapped. Harry was right to call him here; he would need help when Dumbledore did finally go.
"Come on Bill, I'll show you to your room." Harry said, with a sideways glance at Dumbledore.
"All right Harry, I'm right behind you." Bill answered as he turned away from Dumbledore's less than friendly face.
"So, how long has he been like this Harry?" Bill asked as they walked along the halls.
"He started to become less concerned about everything about a week before I wrote to you. He had gone to the Ministry to talk with them and after he came back, he seemed to have changed." Harry replied as he opened the door to one of the rooms opening up into the hall. They walked in.
Bill and Harry looked around the room; it was a large room, with a bed along the far side and a table in the middle with a chair positioned just off to the side.
"Where did this room come from? I haven't ever seen it before." Bill asked.
Harry smiled and looked at Bill with slight amusement.
"Dumbledore thinks that when Kiara took over, the school changed it's self. Hid theory is that the room of requirements took over the entire school and now, it is suited more for hiding people away and housing them than like a school." Harry replied.
"Interesting -- " Was all that Bill had to offer.
I love this story! You others just wait untill the end...wow. I think this has got to be one of my favorites of yours Kiara. You people should read this..
~Josh~
YA! BUMP BUMP BUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Thnks ppl ;D)
After Bill and set down his belongings and they had left the room, Harry suggested they go visit the Muggles, hidden in the depths of the school.
"You don't think that Dumbledore could have encountered Kiara on his way to or from the ministry, do you?" Bill asked as they once again walked along the halls.
"I've thought about that and yes, I do think it's possible. I just don't know how to approach –" He trailed off as they saw Dumbledore walking their way.
"Harry, Bill I need a word." Dumbledore said as he came to a stop, just before them.
"Ok, what is it Professor?" Harry asked.
"I'm leaving the school and I don't know if I'll be back, it would seem that I've become rather unstable and am now jeopardizing the whole place. Listen closely, I don't know how much tome I have until I go to her so you must pay attention." Dumbledore said as he looked between the two apprehensive faces of the wizards standing before him.
"My office is sealed, this –" He handed Harry a silver key. "Will allow you entry, there are many things in there to help you and Fawlks, he needs well, never mind that, you know." Then, with a flap of his cloak and a loud pop, Dumbledore was gone.
Harry and Bill looked between one another and stood in the hall in complete silence for a few minutes.
"Well, I guess that your theory about his meeting Kiara in a dark ally some place was correct, I'm just glad he was sane enough to realize it and let himself out of here." Harry replied in a hushed voice.
"Ya, I only hope he didn't leave behind any surprises for the rest of us, you know what I mean Harry?" Bill answered in the same hushed silence.
The two of them changed directions at this point and headed back to the meeting room where they had last seen McGonnigal. They needed to ask her a few questions.
Chapter 7
Voldemort stood atop the parapet, looking out over the dappled grounds of the surrounding lands. His mood was lees than jovial, he had just become aware of Kiara's powers, taking on yet another surge of energy. He knew it wouldn't be long until she broke free of the small amount of control he currently held.
Lucius Malfoy stood in the shadows of his Lord and master, awaiting any order he may want carried out. He knew Voldemorts thoughts were on Kiara, he also knew that he, Lucius Malfoy, would soon be given the chance to destroy the creature, he'd longed to destroy, from the moment he had laid eyes on her. He remembered now, his first meeting with the young, self absorbed, know it all, teenager, she was.
Kiara had just arrived at the Malfoy Manor. Lucius himself had just gained custody of the child after the demise of her mother by the hands of Voldemort. Cornelius Fudge, was so easily paid off back then, he wanted money and power just as much as any witch or wizard on the wanted list. Only difference, Fudge was a politician so what he did or said was considered foolish or just plain doing his job. This of course, made the first step in obtaining control over this young sorceress easy.
The moment Kiara stepped out of the car, Lucius hated her. He could feel her strength even then and he wanted nothing more than to destroy her, that second. The only thing that kept him from doing so, was Voldemort and his obsession with total control over the entire world. Kiara was the key to that success. However, looking at things now, it didn't seem such a brilliant idea. Kiara was so powerful that Voldemort himself, was afraid of her. Lucius could feel it in him. He had spent too many years at the side of his master to ignore the way Lord Voldemort acted around her. He stepped lightly, this was not an action the Dark Lord took, no matter who you were.
"Hello, Kiara and welcome to your new home. I hope you find your stay her, sufferable." Lucius greeted her.
Kiara merely nodded her head and attempted, Lucius figured, a smile. Then Draco took Kiara by the hand and led her away. Lucius didn't know what they had spoke of during the hour long car ride here but he was certain it wasn't anything good about him.
getting even more interesting Kiara, thank you.
"What are you thinking about Lucius? Your feelings are that of a man who has a score to settle." Voldemort turned and looked upon him.
"Kiara, my Lord." Lucius answered truthfully.
"Awe, yes, that would explain your current thoughts. I understand. Patience my old friend, patience. Soon, you will be given the chance to destroy the girl." Voldemort said, with a certain darkness in his tone.
Just at that moment, Voldemort turned back to the surrounding land and a dark, frightening grin began to cross his hideous features.
"It would seem, Lucius, that we have an unwanted guest in our presence, look there." He pointed to a tall figure walking out of the woods and towards the castle. It was Albus Dumbledore.
Lucius followed his masters gaze and he too assumed a dark expression.
"Would you like for me to --" However, he didn't finish that sentence. Kiara had stepped out onto the field and stood, waiting for her old school master and godfather to approach.
"Lets watch, I am sure, Kiara will make this interesting enough." Voldemort said, his dark grin becoming all the more apparent as he waited to see what she would do.
Dumbledore walked in a slow, steady pace toward his awaiting host. He knew he wouldn't live to tell of his actions here today however, if Kiara was going to continue her rise to power, he didn't want to be around any longer to whiteness it. Besides, he had one last fish to fry before he died and he, was standing up top the castle, watching behind the security of his master.
"So, Kiara, we meat again. I was hoping that we could perhaps have a chat?" Dumbledore said in a less than friendly tone.
Kiara stood as still as a statue, the only thing that moved was her green eyes. They followed Dumbledore's every move as if they were a part of him, and not her.
"A chat, simply a chat. Why not, I am always willing to hear the requests of the people I am to kill. Go ahead, state your case." She said with no emotion or hint of hatred what so ever. In fact, there seemed to Dumbledore, no clue as to her mood, he couldn't even read her.
"You know, your father intends to have you killed, don't you? I was hoping for the chance to destroy your would-be murderer for you. Then, I will allow you to kill me with no complaints." He almost laughed at his own words.
"Oh, Lucius, I know that already, tell me something I do not know. Why should I give you the pleasure of killing him? I thought I would have some fun doing it my self, when to opportunity arose." Kiara answered, still no sign of emotions emitting in either her words or her actions. She still stood as if she were completely frozen, a statue that spoke is what she reminded Dumbledore of.
Dumbledore watched her for a moment before speaking. He wanted to be sure she continued to show no emotion, he knew the moment she did, he was dead. So long as he could keep her calm and not provoke her into action, he could accomplish the deceit, he wished for her to commit. If she allowed him to destroy Lucius then Voldemort would soon follow and then, Harry and the rest would have more time to save the Muggles from his continued attacks.
"Because Kiara, I think you owe me this one last request. Think of it as the dying wish of an old enemy. You do still honor your victims, do you not?" Dumbledore replied carefully.
Kiara then let a smile creep across her otherwise stone -like expression.
"I do, and I suppose, letting you fulfill this want of yours before you die, wouldn't be such a terrible thing. It would give me more room to focus on other, more pressing matters. I will grant you your wish." She replied, then, she raised her hand and suddenly, Lucius was standing before them, his look was greater than shocked, it was almost, astonished.
"What is this! I demand to know what is going on here!" Lucius said, once he regain a bit of his self dignity.
"It would seem, Lucius, that my new casualty, has a wish and I intend to honor that wish. you see, unlike you, I do honor my victims." Kiara replied in a snake-like hiss.
Kiara took a few steps back and then turned and walked away from the two wizards.
"Go ahead, play a game for me now. I have so wanted to see the two of you battle it out. It has been a child hood fantasy of mine to watch Dumbledore take you out, Lucius." She began to laugh that bone chilling ice like laugh of hers.
Dumbledore had already drawn his wand, he waited for Lucius to do the same. The battle was on and now, there was only one person who could end it, and she wasn't about to stop her entertainment.
Voldemort was at her side almost immediately. His eyes, if possible, were even more dangerous than ever before.
"You have deceived me Kiara. Stop this nonsense at once! I command it." He said in a rage only he could manage.
BUMP BUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kiara looked at him as Dumbledore delivered a nasty curse to Lucius.
"I, don't think I could do that father. You see, they have already gotten into it too far, I would have to kill them both, if I did." She answered with a note of victory in her snake-like tone. "And I believe you have put a restriction on me that prevents me from killing Lucius, now however, if you would like to raise your hold on me, I think I could find a way around it." She finished with a smirk.
Voldemort glared at her with such hatred she was sure he would explode if he didn't calm down. This made her chuckle a bit. Then, she turned and watched as Dumbledore unleashed such a powerful curse, he disarmed Lucius. Then, with one final curse, Lucius lay dead on the surrounding grass. A look of confusion written upon his death-gaze.
"Bravo, bravo. I knew you had it in you, old man." Kiara said to Dumbledore as she let a small smile brighten her features.
Voldemort reached for his wand, as Dumbledore had hoped. Suddenly, Kiara spun around with great speed, only seen in the wind it's self.
"Put it away father. I don't want you to harm him. That would be my duty." She growled, her eyes now equaling the red glow emitted by her father's.
"No, it's alright Kiara, I don't mind another duel. Perhaps your father will slip up and become angry just the same as his dead disciple." Dumbledore said, with a twinkle in his eye.
Voldemort looked between the two and then decided it unwise to attack Dumbledore when Kiara so wanted the opportunity to dispose of him. He wasn't quite ready to loose control of her now, not with Lucius dead.
"There, much better, now --" She turned once again to face Dumbledore, her manner just the same calm as it had been before the duel started. "I do believe I have the pleasure of showing you just how strong I have become. Don't worry, it wont hurt, much." Kiara finished then, Dumbledore raised his wand and threw a feeble curse to her, Kiara caught it in her opened hand, closed her hand around it and it made a loud pop and left nothing more than a wisp of smoke than dissipated out from Kiara's closed hand.. The look upon her face now, was that of amusement.
"Did you really think to fight back? How amusing." She said to him with a certain wonderment.
Dumbledore stood his ground, although the spell he threw at her would have killed any normal living creature on the spot, he was not afraid. He had excepted the fact that he'd die by her hand and it was now time.
YES! that's what I'm talkin about. go on go on
Kiara looked into those once again, bright blue eyes and smiled. As her smile faded, so did the life of Albus Dumbledore. In what took no more than a few seconds, the once powerful wizard, lay on the ground, dead at the hands of his own goddaughter.
Kiara turned from him and walked back to the castle, not giving another glance back. Voldemort stood in the same position, his manner undetermined. He didn't know rather to be further frightened of his daughter now that she did indeed show no love for the man who once called her goddaughter, or to be proud, that she was his daughter. Finally, he turned and walked after his daughter, as he did, he heard behind him a loud crackle, he turned just in time to see both, Dumbledore and Lucius, consumed in flames.
Max and Draco stood in the window of Kiara's apartment, looking out at what had happened below. Max was trembling with anger at the demise of Albus Dumbledore, Draco, was smiling.
"So, she finally showed those old men what she was about. I must remember to thank her for getting rid of that thorn in my side." Draco said as he turned from the window.
Max turned on Draco, his manner extremely dangerous. Suddenly, he leapt forward, grabbing the other by the front of his robes and threw him harshly against the wall.
"I can't believe you would stand there in front of me and talk about Dumbledore as if he were nothing. " Max said in a low growl as he stepped closer to Draco as he rose from the floor.
"If I were you, Draco Malfoy, I would certainly be careful of my words." Max stood face to face with Draco, although he had no wand, he was still just as dangerous had he had it. Draco narrowed his eyes and clenched his fists, knowing any action he did, would only serve to anger Kiara further
"Your lucky I don't want to be punished for killing you. Max." Draco replied to him between clenched teeth. "You seem to forget your no longer armed, however, I still am." He finished.
Max began to laugh the laugh of a mad man. He then turned his back on Draco and strode over and sat, on the chair facing his enemy. Draco watched him, confusion and anger both in his expression.
"You, Draco, seem to forget I don't care as to rather I live or die. I would be happy if I could just kill you with my bear hands. That, at least would rid the world of one more worthless, worm." Max replied, still laughing. Suddenly he stopped, then a look of the purest evil came over him as he realized the one thing he could say to anger Draco more than anything else.
"Your no different from your father. You, like him, need to hang onto a higher power to make yourself feel good. Your nothing but a leach." With that said, Max stood and crossed to the window once again.
"You won't say those words to me again Max. It would be the end for you if you did." Draco said, standing still and shaking in rage.
"Think what you want Draco. However, if you look at yourself closely, you'll find the truth in what I say." Max replied, not turning to look at his enemy.
Just as Draco drew his wand, the door swung open and Kiara walked in. She stopped and peered at the two of them.
"Put that thing away at once Draco Malfoy. I will have no further games for today." She said in an off hand manner.
Draco reluctantly put his wand back into his robe, giving both Kiara and Max an angry look then he started out the door but stopped, realizing if he left, he would be leaving Kiara and Max alone. He turned and came back to sit across from the chair Kiara chose to sit at. The three of them either stood or sat in Kiara's drawing room in silence for several hours. None of them felt like speaking. The males were too afraid of what they would let slip and Kiara, was simply glad to hear nothing more than silent.
Kiara finally stood and left the room. As she left, she told Draco that he was to keep Max under watch, that Max was his responsibility. Kiara headed now to her father's throne room. She guessed that she should talk with him about earlier.
As she entered the throne room, she noted that Voldem0rt sat, as usual upon the high-backed throne. His expression was amused as he watched her approach the dais.
"So, what is it you wish to talk with me about, Kiara. Are you planning any further deceptions? If so, I might remind you that you are still under my control and I want it made perfectly clear now, that you are to do exactly as I say, no more running about or leaving the castle with out my consent. Is that clear." He told her in a more or less regal tone.
Kiara stood before him with a calm, irritatingly, smug expression written on her face.
"I more or less figured this would be your reaction. What's the problem father, you forced to attempt the killing of your loving daughter yourself now? Did that mean old Dumbledore take away your plaything? " She began to laugh.
Voldem0rt glared at her then the old mask of impenetrable calmness engulfed his expression once again and he looked upon her until she regained her composure once again.
"I want you to take my armies further West, it would seem that the Americans are getting into this battle sooner than I had expected. I think it's time for them to learn a little lesson." He said then dismissed her.
As Kiara began to walk away Voldem0rt stopped her once again.
"Oh, one further thing Kiara. You will take Draco with you on this one. It's about time he began earning his keep around here. Also, Max must be either destroyed or you will take him too. He's your problem, not mine." He dissaperated and the conversation was over.
