Her Story Told : Written by Kerri C.
It is summer in the land; a warm breeze rustles the leaves of the surrounding trees. The sweet smell of grass hangs in the air around two women. They are seated on a bench in a large garden full of summer blooms. The first, a small girl of teenage years, sits in her yellow summer dress as she holds a red flower to her nose and smiles. The second, a woman of undetermined age, although her beauty is that of every mans dream, her eyes tell of years of a life that has both hurt and hardened her. She too, however is smiling.
"You don't have to tell me grandma, if you don't want to, I realize your past is a story in which you seldom speak." States the younger girl, the smile on her pretty young face still apparent although now, a look of concern is present in those brilliant green eyes.
"No, Celeste, I feel I need to tell some one of the life I lead, I believe that you, are the one I need to speak with, for fear that you too, may one day be faced with certain decisions. You are cursed with the same power as I am, you, like me will one day sit here with your own grandchild, speaking the story you will by then, have to relate."
They are silent for a while, Celeste, not wanting to interrupt her grandmothers thoughts, she has learned that to do so, sometimes could mean a lesson in patience, one of which she knew too well and was not wanting to repeat, yet again.
"Kiara, that's what my name was then, it was the name I was born with, I shall start there, at the time of my birth." Kiara paused, took a deep breath and then continued. "I was born a twin, a very long time ago. Too long in fact it was ---" She paused again, a look of thought showing across her still young and beautiful face. "I believe, three thousand years ago, although, you already know that. My mother was a witch, working for what was then known as The Ministry of Magic, a place for the politicians of the magic world to play God. Little did they know, they were no better than the self absorbed, Muggles they fought so hard to be unlike."
"Muggle?" Celeste asked
Kiara smiled. "Oh, I forget that we no longer call the humans that any longer, forgive me, it is an old term. Shall I continue?"
"Yes please, shall I not ask any more questions if I don't understand?" Celeste asked.
"No, child, you may ask what you need to keep up, I am sure we will come to parts where you will need help in understanding." Kiara smiled at her granddaughter. "Well, like I said, she worked in the Ministry, she was what they called an Auror. Aurors were the ones who took down and either killed or brought to justices the really bad and powerful Wizards and Witches of the time. As I understand it, she was good too, that is until my father found her. He raped her, several times before the Ministry finally found it in their hearts to let her go into hiding, she found out she was pregnant and wanted to move to the States, that is what they called this part of the world, back then. Well, they made her wait until she gave birth to her child, no knowing they were twins till the last moment. They made her separate us at birth, thinking it best not to keep us together lest my father, seek us out. She took me with her, leaving my brother to a couple, known as the Potters. From what I was told of them, they were great people indeed." Kiara paused again to look at her granddaughter, she smiled. "Not to worry child, everything works it's self out, in a bit."
"My life for the most part was spent in the company of old scorers and such, one of which, I do believe I will never forget, his name was Belgarion, Lord of the West and God slayer. Wonderful man, really, kind of soft about the edges though, I really got away with a lot around him, but I am rambling....One day, my mother got an owl from England, that is the other continent to the east of us here, the Ministry wanted her back, evidently, my father was beginning to show himself again. You know, I have told you of what happened to him, when he tried to kill Harry Potter. Well, we were off, almost immediately, I was but your age then, fifteen, I knew nothing of the world out side my books and star scopes, I was about to learn...." She trailed off. Thinking and remembering how she had felt, taken from her home and brought to a new beginning, she remembered, she didn't like it, at all.
:'( bravo bravo :'(
This is sooooo cool Kiara! I love it! BUMP!!!!!
(Thanks PPL, I will write more tonight, later.)
"You didn't much care for the idea of being uprooted from your home, did you grandmother?" Celeste asked.
Kiara smiled, "You are the perceptive one, aren't you? No, I didn't like it one bit."
"I could tell, your eyes flashed, just a bit when you spoke of moving, like they do when you get angry with Grandpa." Celeste giggled a little.
"No, not like that, your grandfather may pull my strings, from time to time but I could never, hate him the way I hated the Ministry for uprooting us, never, I still blame Cornelius Fudge for what happened to my mother, I always will. May his bones be chewed upon by the dogs of hell for all eternity." Kiara's eyes flashed once again but then a calm came over her and she relaxed, shall we continue?"
Celeste smiled and nodded her head, shifting her wait around to a more comfortable position.
"We arrived in England, about 3 months before their school year was to begin, I had no worries though because I didn't attend a Witch Craft school, I am a sorceress. Humph! That's what I thought, but I get ahead of my self. My mother and I had spent two days, searching for the best Sorcery teachers available, we had narrowed it down and were beginning to sit down to dinner when the door to our new home flew open..." Kiara tailed off, closed her eyes and shuddered before gaining control, once again and taking a deep breath, "Best to get it over with, fast."
"---in walked a cloaked figure of a man. Quite a strong and powerful magic user, I could sense. My mother grabbed me and threw me into another room, I heard her yelling. I also heard the man. I will never, forget that conversation, never...*You can't have her, she belongs to me and I won't let you take her!*
Give her to me and step out of the way Aurora! I will have my daughter and there is nothing you can do to stop it.*
No I wont---
"And then I saw, from under the crack in the door, a green flash and I heard my mother fall to the ground, then footsteps headed my way, next thing I know, I hear the clatter of hooves, the man yells out something then it goes silent again, I stuck my head out of the door and saw my mom, lying there, dead, I also saw where the hooves came from. Standing in the door way was a wonderfully beautiful, unicorn, I would later discover him to be the King of all herds, and his name is unpronounceable in the human speech. I called him Malden." Kiara pauses again to take a deep breath and steady herself. The memory of her mother's death, flashing up again like a wave from the ocean, hitting her full in the face and leaving behind a sting, like that of sand, in a wound.
The two of them sit together in silence until Kiara is ready to continue. Celeste looks up at her grandmother expectantly and Kiara obliges with more of her story.
"I sat there, holding my mother to me for I don't know how long, wishing that this was all a dream. Of course, it wasn't, finally, I got up, laying my mother on the floor gently, then walked outside. I had no idea as to what I should do, we had no owl to send a message so instead, I walked to the pond, behind our house. I knelt down and, closing my eyes, called for the water demon that lived there for help. He soon came, of course, water demons do nothing for free, I paid dearly for the help he was to offer me, although, he still hasn't received that payment." Kiara smiled, she knew her granddaughter would want to know her price and she would tell her but not until she asked.
Celeste waited for a bit. "What was the price you had to pay grandma? You do plan on telling me, don't you?" She asked impatiently. Kiara smiled and then winked at her.
"I was to give him my soul, when I die, that is." Kiara laughed. "However, that particular water demon, died, 1000 years ago so, I don't have to pay any more."
Celeste laughed at that. "You mean since he died, the agreement was broken?" She asked.
"Yes dear, when you make an agreement with a demon, you make it with only that demon, they are to selfish to share with the others so, if something happens to it, the deals off. Besides, they only live about 2000 years anyway so, a sorceress, like us, can easily out live them." Together the two had a laugh about it then Kiara continued.
"The demon, his name was Sabozios, he was to deliver my distress call to the ministry, you see, they had a water fountain in their main foyer so he could quickly get to it." Kiara stopped again.
"I think it's time for us to go in and have some lunch, I'm sure your mother will be looking for you soon." Kiara said and then stood up and took Celeste by the hand and together, the two of them walked up to the manor.
"Oh, there you two are. I was just about to go out looking for you." Celeste's mother said. Kiara winked at Celeste as if to say I told you so. Celeste giggled a little.
"Oh mom, you knew I'd be with grandma, why do you worry so? I'm safe with her, you know that." Celeste said as she kissed her mother on the cheek.
"Kami, Celeste and I will grab lunch then we'll take it out to the garden, we're kinda in the middle of something just now. Ok dear?" Kiara told her daughter. Kami looked questionably at Kiara but just nodded her head, not really sure she wanted to know what the two of them might be up to. Kiara and Celeste grabbed a few sandwiches then took off back outside to the garden.
The sun was now at the highest point in the sky so the two girls decided to move into the shade of an old tree to eat their meal. After they had spread a blanket, which Kiara had made appear out of thin air, on the ground, they sat down. The warm breeze of earlier was now gone, leaving the air hot and still. The shade of the tree was most welcome.
"So what happened next? Did the Ministry send someone for you? How long did it take?" Celeste asked after swallowing her food. Kiara leaned her back against the trunk of the tree and finished eating before she started up again.
"Yes, the Ministry received my call and in no time at all, a short man, came walking into the yard. He introduced himself as Croaker. That's all, just Croaker, suddenly, my home was filled with many witches and wizards. All of who worked in different departments of the Ministry. I was taken away by broomstick. They didn't know I could teleport and I wasn't ready to let them know just what I was capable of at that point. I was taken directly to the Ministry; they put me in a small room until they could decide what to do with me. I was alone, utterly and completely alone for the first time in my life and I must admit, I was scared. I couldn't get the man's words out of my head, he kept saying I belonged with him, was he my father and if so, who was he and why did he go so far as to kill my mum to get to me? All these questions and more were swimming through my head and I finally, broke down and cried. Yes, me, your grandma, cried." Kiara took a long drink from her juice then continued
"You'll find I didn't do a whole lot of that, crying, that is. I had no time for felling sorry for myself, or for others. I look upon the times I should have cried now and think that maybe if I had taken the time to actually do it, maybe things would have been a bit easier for me. However, I opted to get angry instead, and that is precisely, what I hope you will avoid. It is what put me in the place I ended up later on in life." Kiara turned a stern gaze upon her granddaughter, hoping Celeste understood what she was saying. Celeste nodded her head, fully understanding that Kiara's life would probably been different if she'd only learned to control her temper and Celeste, would be sure to take a lesson in that.
"I was at the Ministry for only a week before they told me that a man had gained custody of me. They told me his name was Lucius Malfoy and that I would be living with him from now on. They also advised me that I was to attend, Hoggwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This shocked me as; I am not a witch, why should I go to a school for witchcraft? That was answered only by stating that my mother wanted it to be this way if anything should happen to her. So, I went, to the Malfoy Manor. A car came and picked me up, Mr. Malfoy didn't even bother to escort me personally, and instead, he sent his son, Draco Malfoy. He seemed ok at first, perhaps a little snobbish but, not too bad, I got along with him during the long trip back, to what I would, from that point on, call home."
"What did he look like, Draco I mean?" Celeste asked.
Kiara smiled, "Oh, I forget, teenagers, always worried about what a person looks like." Kiara teased. "Well, he was about 5 feet 8 inches tall, blonde hair and ice-blue eyes. He was of a slender, almost athletic build. Actually, he was quite good looking. If it wasn't for his mouth, he would have been a prime candidate for me to date." Kiara winked at Celeste who giggled at he thought of her grandma dating. Kiara looked at her in surprise.
"Just wait, I have al sorts of juicy stories for you." She laughed at the shocked expression on Celeste's face.
"What, do you think I have been with your grandpa for all these years? Think about it child, he is not a sorcerer --- " She left it hanging and Celeste's eye brightened in acknowledgment.
"There, now you've got it. Shall I continue or do we sit out here talking like school girls about our crushes, instead?" Kiara asked. Celeste smiled.
"You know, I think that will be another topic for us to discuss at a later date, please continue Grandma." Celeste answered.
"Very well, where was I? ...Oh, yes.."
Kiara started again, "When we finally arrived at the Manor, and had gotten out of the car, Lucius was waiting at the door. I was taken aback by his presence. Truly, a powerful man, I could tell at first sight. He stood a good 6 feet tall, perhaps add a few inches, I'm not sure however, that wasn't what impressed me. He had long, platinum blonde hair and dark brows. He stood with perfect posture and wore a very unwelcoming scowl. His mere presence commanded attention, I could feel his power, and he was truly a strong wizard. My first imprisons of the man would prove to be correct. He was not only a powerful wizard but also, a powerful politician. His class was high in the ranks, you could tell that simply by looking at his home, very wealthy they were. I didn't see his wife for several days and assumed, at first, he was either divorced or she had died. They, Draco and Lucius, never even mentioned her to me. Later, however, she did show up. Evidently she had been visiting with relatives, or so I was told. I now believe differently." Kiara took another drink from her glass then began again.
"The first two weeks of my stay there, proved to be a great learning experience indeed. My mother was never into the politics of proper dining and such so I received a crash course in edict then. They were perfect the perfect family, from the outside, looking in. However, once inside, you find out just what makes then tick. The marriage of Mr. And Mrs. Malfoy was purely political. There was no love there. The only time they even talked or even pretended to like one another was when they had guests. I soon found that if I stayed out in the garden, no one would even bother to look for me. That is until Draco found my hiding place. Evidently, he too, took to going out there when his father was in a particularly bad mood. He found me and came over to sit on the bench, next to me. I think it was the first real conversation I had with him from the time we met. He was actually civil to me, almost human. I remember the conversation like it was yesterday...."
"Kiara, what do you make of my mum and dad? I know they don't talk much, my father is only interested in one thing, and that's power. My mum has been talking about leaving. I'm not sure if my father will allow it ---" Draco trailed off.
"I noticed it from the start, Draco. I'm sorry; I wish I could do something to help. What do you mean, won't permit it?" I replied.
Draco looked over the garden before he answered me, I don't know if he really intended on letting me in on what his father would do or not but for some reason, maybe he just needed to get it out, he told me.
"I mean, Kiara, that my father would kill her, or have her killed before he'd loose face to the public due to a divorce." He replied rather quickly.
I wasn't sure how to take it; I couldn't believe he had just told me this. But then again, like I said, I think he just needed to let it go on some one. I wanted to hug him or something at that point but after what he told me next, I'm glad I didn't. His total expression changed, it was once again just as hard as his father's ever was, almost vindictive, in a way. It was like he wanted to hurt me, like he had intended to do it from the start. I sometimes think he told me about his parents, just to put me off guard for the real reason he came out there.
"By the way, Kiara, I know who your father is ---" He laughed. " And yes, he was the one who killed that looser, mother of yours. Perhaps you've heard of him? Lord Voldemort, that's who it is. I also get to be the one to introduce you to him." Draco then turned his gaze upwards towards the balcony that looked out over the garden. I barely had time to let what he said soak in. I followed his gaze, upwards to that balcony and was welcomed by the sight of Lucius Malfoy standing next to a, man, if that's what you called him, who stood just as tall as Lucius but was even more, if that was possible, and I guess it was, powerful looking than him. He stood a good 6 feet tall but what caught my attention more than anything else, was that his eyes, even from this distance, I noticed, were red, not human at all. The sight of the man sent a chill down my spine.
"Surely, you mean to tell me that the monster standing next to your father is my father." I had asked. I only got a snide grin from him. This annoyed me considerably.
"Oh, and by the way, Draco, if you ever speak poorly of my mother again, you'll find out the difference between a sorcerer and a wizard, the hard way." I glared at him. "Well, I guess if I must go meat this monstrosity, then we should go." I stood up from the bench but Draco didn't move.
"Well, aren't you coming along?" I asked, hoping that he was. I might not like this little weasel but at least I wouldn't have to go alone if he came with me. However, he just shook his head no. So, I walked along the garden and took the flight of stairs to my appointed room and out to the balcony where my father awaited me.
I stepped out to the balcony and immediately wished I hadn't. I had an immediate flash back of the night my mother was killed, as if seeing it through his eyes. Once again, a chill swept through my body, it penetrated to my very bone. I was suddenly very frightened of this wizard.
"Leave us." My father commanded, and Lucius obeyed, quickly he left the balcony and the room, for that matter. I wondered, what kind of man this was that could have ultimate power over such a powerful wizard as Lucius.
"Kiara, what a pleasure to finally have you in my grasp." He said in a snake-like hiss.
That was when I learned my first lesson as to just how much my father demanded absolute loyalty. His words had shocked me and I wasn't ready to except him as my father. He had killed my mother and I could not, forgive him for it.
"I am sure you find it to be such a pleasure when you hear what I have to say." I replied in a more than angry tone. Voldemort stood there, unmoving, his red eyes burning into my mind.
"I think you'll find it a pleasure to obey me and quite painful, to do other wise, child." He warned, and I didn't heed it.
"You killed my mother, I will NOT, obey you, I will NOT, do anything to please you, you repulse me." I retorted.
"Crucio!" He yelled, I hit the ground, my whole body burning; it felt as though someone was tearing at every single muscle in my body, even my brain hurt. When he finally let up on me, I had passed out. " Kiara stopped there for a moment to regard the reaction of her granddaughter. Celeste's face had paled slightly.
"You mean your father did something that awful to you? Oh my goodness, I thought that parents loved their children. I guess I've been blind all these years." She said in a faraway voice, looking out over the now shadowed garden.
"It's getting late, perhaps we should continue this in the house?" Kiara suggested, also looking around the garden at the creeping shadows.
"Ok grandma." Celeste answered, knowing that her grandmother never stayed out side much after dark. For some reason, it seemed as though she was frightened if the dark.
Interesting, I thnk i am growing to like this one, the more I read it. Please, if you would.....
The two stood up, Kiara disposed of the blanket they had been using, with a flick of her wrist. Then, they walked together along the garden path to the front door and quietly stepped inside. Celeste noticed that Kiara stepped around the shadows as the walked, she didn't ask as to why, she was sure that in her story, her grandmother would eventually come to the reason why. They sat in front of the fire, now Kami was here as well; she looked between the two then stood.
"It's alright Kami, you can stay, if you wish, I'm just telling my story to Celeste, you've heard some of it and are more than welcome to sit through the rest, if you feel you have the time." Kiara spoke to her daughter.
"Ok, I think I will stay for a bit. Where are you at this moment?" Kami asked, smiling now. Her mother seldom offered to let her sit with them. Usually, more often than not, Kiara and Celeste would spend days, in each other's company, not allowing any others to interrupt. Kiara explained where they were at then she continued.
When I finally awoke, I was laying still on the ground where I fell. I sat up slowly, trying to ignore the pain in my pounding head. I looked around only to find Draco staring down at me with that annoying smirk he always seemed to wear.
"How does it feel, Kara?" He asked.
I just stared at him, wishing he'd go away and did not answer, I got up and went to my vanity chair and sat down, looking into the mirror.
"You look good, why do you always look into that mirror when you don't need to worry about appearances?" Draco asked me. I almost choked at his words. He actually complemented me, is a sick sort of way, but he had complemented me.
"Oh, I –" I stumbled over the words, shocked at his words as I was. "I look into the mirror to remember what my mother looked like." I finally finished, turning to regard him once again.
"Oh, well ok then." Draco replied then he turned and left my company.
He really was a confusing boy. One moment he could be the sweetest thing in this world, then the next --- POW! He hits you with some of the harshest words you could ever hear from a person. I merely shook my head then got up again and went to bed.
When I awoke the next day, I noticed Draco had been in early that morning. HE laid out some flowers on my vanity and a note attached to the mirror. It read:
Kiara, Please except this offering for your forgiveness yesterday. I realize I acted the jerk, once again. I don't know why I always do this to you. Perhaps it's jealously. Sorry,
Draco Malfoy
I picked up the flowers and put them aside, I would have to find a vase for them after breakfast. Then I smiled and put the note away in the drawer of the vanity. I didn't know what to make of it. Was it just another of his tricks to get me relaxed then spring something horrid on me or was he serious? I couldn't tell so I took it very lightly indeed, and I most certainly didn't forgive him, I wasn't that stupid.
"Celeste dear. Could you go and get your poor, helpless grandmother a drink please?" Kiara asked with a great smile.
"Poor, helpless --- BAH! But I'll get you one any way." Celeste got up and went to the kitchen to fetch Kiara a drink so she could continue with her story. When she returned, her grandfather had joined the crowd.
Celeste paused in the archway to the room, just for a moment, her grandfather some what scared her, although she knew he'd never harm her. He was an impressive wizard. Now, middle aged looking although his age was quite undetermined and Celeste had never asked it. He stood a good six feet tall had dark, almost black hair and the most impressive ice blue eyes she had ever seen. His name was Moloch.
It was those eyes that frightened her, they always seemed to glow, almost as if her were putting on a mask of some sort. She wasn't sure really. However, she thought that perhaps, this wasn't what he really looked like.
Celeste smiled at him and handed Kiara her drink as she sat down.
"Well, hello Celeste." Moloch greeted with a genuinely warm smile.
"Hello grandfather. What brings you out to the house this evening?" Celeste answered.
"Well, your grandmother told me she was telling her story tonight so I thought I'd come by and see how goes it." Moloch answered.
"Ok, then, lets get on with it." Kiara smiled at the two of them.
"Ok, sorry grandmother." Celeste answered.
Moloch nodded at her and settled down on the couch to listen. Although he already knew the story, he still delighted in hearing it over again. He found Kiara's life very interesting indeed.
Well, I went down to breakfast that morning but found that Draco and I were the only ones to dine that day. He told me his father and mother had gone off with Voldemort upon his command so, it went.
"Did you like the flowers?" Draco asked of me.
"Yes, they were beautiful, thanks." I answered, not looking at him.
"Do you forgive me?" Draco persisted. I then looked at him and found that he actually looked scared.
"Draco, I can't forgive you. What you said to me was the worst thing a person could ever say-- Then to add insult to injury, you actually seemed to enjoy the fact that my father was there, you knew what would happen if I defied him, didn't you? Yet, you did nothing to warn me. I should pay you back that kindness one day. I don't forget easily." I had replied. He sat there looking for the entire world as if I had just stuck a knife into his chest and twisted it. I didn't feel the least bit sorry for him, I couldn't.

(Thanks guys I will post more late ;))
Bump, please continue, this is one of my Favorite stories
After about a week, and just two before the start of the school term, my father visited me again. This time, he had some plans for me. I was taken to a forest clearing, someplace, all around us were what he called Death Eaters. They were his most loyal servants. HE had me stand in front of them for all to see, like I was some sort of prize, or something. Then, he did something to me, I really didn't know how it happened, but I suddenly wanted more than anything to serve him as the others did. I would later find out that it was called the imperious charm. Wizards use it to control others, to make them do their bidding, really, an awful thing. And if you don't know you're under it then it works like a – well, charm." Kiara paused and took a drink from her glass.
What I did that night was awful, you see, my father wanted to show my powers off to his followers so he had me kill, several Muggles that night. I even killed a Ministry official. They killing of them was one thing but, the way I personally chose to do it, that was another.
I think that I'll skip the way as to how I killed those poor people. It is a bit, shall we say, horrifying.
"Please grandmother, tell us. I want to know everything, you promised you'd tell me." Celeste spoke.
"Alright, but I did warn you." Kiara replied.
The first, a Muggle male about in his forties, I simply made him explode. Nothing more than that, then the second, a Muggle female, I burned her alive. I remember my father smiling at her screams, as if it excited him to hear it. When I noticed how happy he had become from a simple anguished scream, I wanted no more than to make him even happier so the next four or five, I tortured relentlessly with fire or ice. I even shocked one to death with a lightning bolt. Really, it was a mess. Bodies lying all over the place and his hunger never seemed to abate. He finally let me stop after I had killed over 40 Muggles. The Death Eaters all-laughing at their demise, saying things like "Death to all Muggles." Or "Bring on the MUDDBLOODS!" Muddblood is a particularly bad word for any witch or wizard born of Muggle decent, not pure blood.
After the night was over, we all headed back to the Malfoy Manor. What I heard later that night was terrible, it angered me more than anything else they could have done.
I was thought to be sleeping, resting after such a brutal night. However, I wasn't.
"So, young Malfoy, I think you shall be the husband for my daughter. It would seem best, after all, your father is my closest friend." Voldemort was saying. It took all I had in me to keep from getting up and killing the both of them.
"Thank you my Lord. I was hoping for the chance to ask this of you now though, it would seem, you feel the same as I do." Draco answered him.
"And just how is that?" Voldemort asked,
"That Kiara needs some one to keep her on the right path. Her mother spoiled her to the other ways. She will be difficult." Draco answered him again.
"You are perceptive boy. Good, I hoped that you were capable of understanding your position in this matter." Voldemort finished, and then I heard him leave the room.
Kiara then stopped and took another drink, remembering how angry she had been at the thought of her marrying Draco. She shook it out of her mind then turned to Moloch and smiled.
"You've heard this story many times Moloch. What posses you to hear it again?" Kiara inquired. Moloch smiled at her, a warm but accusing smile.
"My dear lady, you seem to forget that I can listen to your voice until the end of time, it makes not a bit of difference what comes out of it. It is the most beautiful thing this world has ever been blessed with." He leaned down and kissed her cheek lightly. Kiara smiled.
"Your nothing more than an old charmer. Even when it's yelling at you, you find it beautiful?" Kiara accused.
"Well, then it becomes a bit scary." Moloch admitted with a smile.
"Well then, shell I continue?" Kiara asked.
"Yes, sorry for the interruption, please continue." Moloch replied, still smiling.
The last week of summer break was at an end; Draco and I had been dropped off at Kingscross station to board a train called the Hoggwarts Express. At first sight, it was nothing more than a Muggle trains station. I was confused. I couldn't figure out how, when the magic world was so hidden from the Muggles that we were to board a train to a Wizarding school, when it was right in the middle of a Muggle station. I soon found out.
"Platform 9 and ¾ is our boarding spot." Draco told me.
I looked at my ticket and sure enough that is what it said. We walked along the station; our trunks, full of books and other things needed for the school year, setting on trolleys that we pushed out in front of us. Draco pointed out a spot, right between platforms 9 and 10 and told me that this was the way to platform 9 and ¾. I was further confused until he looked around and then ran straight towards the brick wall and vanished right through it. I followed suit. It was really quite brilliant, the way they had it set up. The train was an old steam engine. We bordered the train and stowed our things in the compartments above our heads.
After a few minutes, two other young wizards came into the compartment. Draco looked up at them and sneered.
"Crabbe, Goyle, this is Kiara. She's new to the school and possibly will be one of us, soon. Play nice." He told them.
"Uh, ya, what ever you say Draco. Do you not want us to sit with you then?" The one named Crabbe asked.
"Don't be ridiculous! Of course you're to sit with us. Didn't your father tell you that she'd be here?" Draco asked, obviously annoyed at the two.
"Uh, ya, I think he did mention it. Ok, sorry bout that." Goyle said as he sat his rather large self on the bench, opposite us and next to the equally large Crabbe.
"Hum, Draco. If you don't mind, I'm going for a walk around the train for a moment, I'll be back after a bit." I told him. All he did was look at me and wave. I left then.
I came upon a compartment with three people sitting in it. Instantly, I had a feeling I wanted, more than anything else, to go in and talk to the young wizard with the dark brown hair, sitting next to a red haired boy and across from a girl. I stepped in, not knowing why I felt this strongly about him, and introduced myself.
"Hi, I'm Kiara. I'm new here, was just walking past, and thought I'd say hey." I said.
The three of them looked at me for a moment then the one with the red hair narrowed his eyes.
"Didn't I see you come on to the train with Malfoy?" He asked, almost hatefully. I was taken back by his manner and stumbled over my next words.
"I, I well, ya, I did. I live with the Malfoy's. What difference does that make?" I asked him pointedly, now growing angry for his judgment.
Then the dark haired boy spoke up.
"Hi Kiara, I'm Harry, Harry Potter." He introduced himself, holding out his hand to shake mine. I then took his offered hand to shake it and when our hands net, there was a spark. We both jumped back from it, wide-eyed and curious.
"What was that?" I asked first.
Harry looked at me. "You didn't do it?" He asked.
"No, I thought you did." I had replied.
Suddenly the girl, who had been quietly watching our exchange, stood up.
"Do it again, shake hands again." She told us. So we did but nothing happened this time except that when he looked into my eyes, I felt suddenly like I knew him, had known him all my life. I turned away.
"I'm Hermione, by the way." The girl stated.
"Nice to meet you" I replied, although a bit, absentmindedly. Suddenly I turned and looked at the red head again. He had stood up and was staring at me.
"Hi, I'm Ron, Ron Weasley." He put his hand out. I shook it.
"Hi." I smiled. Then, the whistle blew and I told them that I'd see them later, at school and I went back to my compartment. For some reason, I didn't feel like telling Draco about the people I just met. Instead, I laid my head on his shoulder and went to sleep.
am i going to be in this story?
My dearest Max, I do believe you have become a big pert of Kiara's life, wouldn't you say?
Kiara paused again and looked at her audience.
"I think, it's about time Kami and I started dinner. I can continue after." She said, standing up and looking at the rest.
Kami quickly rose to her feet and she and Kiara went to the kitchen, leaving Celeste and Moloch alone.
"So, what do you think of your grandmothers life so far, Celeste?" Moloch asked.
"I think it's a little sad, actually, grandfather." She answered him truthfully.
"Your right in assuming this child, although, it gets much worse. Wait and see." Moloch told her. Then he stood and went outside. Celeste then went to the kitchen to help her mother and grandmother with dinner.
After they had eaten and had once again settled in the drawing room around the crackling fire, Kiara looked upon her husband and smiled.
"It's been a long time for this story, Moloch. If you have anything to add as I go along, please, feel free to speak up. You know it as well as I do." She told him
Moloch smiled. "I am sure you'll do fine. No one here, including me has the memory of your past as well as you do. Please, continue."
"Ok, let's see, where was I – Oh, ya the train." Kiara said, a far off look beginning to cross her features again.
The train had come to a stop. I had slept the whole time. Surprisingly, Draco hadn't awakened me. We stood and began to make our way towards the door. A guy knocked into Draco, I believe to this day he did it on purpose. I looked at the guy, to me; he was probably the best looking guy I had ever seen. He held eye contact with me for a moment then started walking off again. Draco let go of my hand and walked up to him. I don't know what they exchanged but I could tell the words they spoke were certainly angry ones. Draco then rushed me to an awaiting coach. We got in and began our ride to the castle.
It was the most beautiful sight I had ever beheld in my life. The castle was located at the top of a hill, and skirting it was an enormous lake. All the lights were lit and it seemed as though the very castle it's self, were welcoming the students. I turned to mention my excitement to Draco however; he looked as though he'd rather be anywhere but here, just at that moment. So I kept it to myself.
As all the other second years and up were taken to the Dinning Hall, I was taken aside by an old witch, her name, I found out, was Professor McGonnigal. I would learn that she was the second in charge at this school. She was a very stern appearing witch but I could feel a certain love of the children in her. I could tell her bark was worse than her bite, so to speak. I took an immediate liking to her stern and gruff manner. I actually wanted to have her stay with me longer however, She told me that I would wait in a room and that the Head Master, a Professor Dumbledore would be in shortly to see me.
I walked into the room she had directed me to and she closed the door behind me. The sound of the door closing had an eerie finality to it. It was as if my fate had been sealed at the clank of the door, settling into place. I stood there a moment, studying my current surroundings. There was a large fireplace covering the far wall and a couch settled to the left of me. To the right, there was a table with two chairs nestled neatly, at its side.
"Hello." A voice said to me and I jumped slightly, knowing no one had enters the room. As I turned, I came face to face with a ghost.
"Hello?" I said politely. Not wanting to seem rude, I had no intentions of making an enemy, dead or alive, my first day at this odd and extraordinarily, wonderful place.
"You would be Miss Kiara Maul, am I correct?" The ghost asked of me.
I was a little taken aback at the fact that he knew my name and I did not know his. How was it that a ghost, or anyone for that matter, could possibly know who I was already?

am i going to be in this story?
Relaxe, I don't think that Kiara makes a move with out you...
if that was a smart comment:OH, was that a joke?ha.ha.ha.:|
if that was a complement:thanks.
(I thnk he meant it as a complement Max. :-*)
"Yes, that would be my name. Might I ask yours kind sir?" I replied, once again, playing at politeness.
"Oh, my. Do forgive my rudeness." The ghost bowed slightly, looking a bit embarrassed. "I am known as Sir Nicholas. The Gryffindor House ghost." He finished.
"Nice to meet you Sir Nicholas." I replied, with a slight curtsy and a smile. I rather liked this ghost. He seemed to me like a friendly sort.
"I was just sent in here to let you know that Professor Dumbledore will be in shortly and that he sends his apologies for being late. Seems there was a problem with the first years crossing he had to attend to." As he spoke those words, the door creaked open and in walked a rather old but powerful looking wizard.
HE was rather tall; had a pointed nose and his eyes shined as though they would, at any time, begin to emit sparks of joy. I got the impression that he too, I knew, just as I did with Harry Potter, the boy on the train. He nodded to Sir Nicholas and the ghost left the room with a nod my way.
"It has been entirely too long, Kiara." Dumbledore said.
"Excuse me sir? I don't believe we've ever met. What ever do you mean, it's been entirely to long?' I replied, now a bit confused.
"You look just like your mother, did you know that?" Dumbledore replied with a small catch in his voice. It was as though he knew her; he must have, to make that assumption.
We stood in that room, looking at each other for quite some time before he finally explained himself to me. I was glad when he did finally speak. It was as though he was reading me as he gazed upon me. His eyes although happy, seemed far away. It was really rather unnerving.
"Kiara, I am your godfather. Your mother used to be my goddaughter, she asked for me to take you if anything had ever happened to you however, it would seem that Lucius had enough money to take you from my grasp." He paused to regard my reaction. I had none; I was too shocked to think or even utter more than a small feeble squeak. "You wouldn't remember me, I was kept away from you by your grandfather, he and I didn't get along." His expression changed when he mentioned my grandfather. It seemed both hurt and angry at the same time. I studied his emotions as he spoke; I wanted to understand who this wizard was. I needed to find out who he was.
"The last time I saw you, you were but nine months old." He emitted a little chuckle then, his eyes going away again. "Even then, your powers were strong. Your mother had a hard time keeping you in a crib. Every time she'd lay you down in the next room, a moment later, you'd be out playing next to her again." He finished as he turned his gaze to me once again.
"I know, I actually remember –" I stopped as I remembered my surroundings at that time. Being a sorceress, as you well know, Celeste. Your memories begin at a very young age.
Suddenly they all came flooding back to me, Dumbledore, my mom, my grandfather, all of it. Tears began welling up in my eyes and I rushed over and hugged my godfather, holding onto him tightly.
"You used to bring me the best playthings." I said in a whisper.
"You truly liked my visits, I remember that when ever I left, you tried to come with me." Dumbledore said, a small chuckle behind his words. "However, now it is time for me to step out to the Great Hall and witness the sorting ceremony. You can watch from here and I will call your name when it is your turn." Dumbledore said as he let me go and turned to walk away.
"Godfather? Will I ever be allowed to stay with you?" I asked quietly.
"I'm working on it now." He replied as he strode out the door.
The Sorting Ceremony was really rather a brilliant way to sort kids into their houses for their time spent in the school. Professor McGonnigal brought out an old tattered looking hat out into the Great Hall and placed it on a stool. The hat came alive and began speaking a riddle. It was rather interesting, the hat spoke of the houses, telling all in the room of each particular house and what attributes each student in said house had. Then, McGonnigal would call out the names of the first year students and one by one, they would walk to the stool, sit and McGonnigal would place the hat on their heads then it would call out which house that student belonged in.
After the first years were sorted, Professor Dumbledore stood and gave a welcoming speech to them all. He also warned of the Forbidden Forest and gave instructions as to how one could fins out all the school rules and where to find them if they needed further help.
Then he turned my way and called me out, telling the students how unusual it was for them to be accepting a student in their fifth year.
"Kiara, would you come up to be sorted please?" He asked of me.
^^What she said man, don't sweat it. Please write some more for these ppl Kiara.
yeah,keep goin'
I walked along the floor, passing the Gryffindor table as I went. I noticed every eye in the hall was on me. I turned my head slightly and saw Harry looking at me. When our eyes met, the same feeling that I should know him consumed me once again. I felt myself slowing to a stop as I held his gaze. I forced myself away from him and continued on to the stool and the awaiting hat.
I sat down and Professor McGonnigal placed the hat onto my head. The hat came to life; I could hear it speak, although I hadn't noticed it do this with the others. It could have been possible that it spoke to ones mind when perched upon said persons head.
"Awe, now this is new. You truly don't belong here but I can see that you've got hidden talents not yet explored. Hmm ---" The hat began. "Perhaps, no, I don't think you belong there, maybe, awe yes there it is, Slytherin I think for you. Your talents would be best placed and something else –" It paused a moment then said for the whole hall to hear. "SLYTHERIN!" Then the hat spoke no more, even though it had not finished it's speech to me, I wondered why and would later find out.
I took my seat at the Slytherin table, sitting next to Draco and Goyle. I noticed also, the same guy I mentioned earlier, the one that Draco had words with, watched as I approached the table. I glanced at him briefly but that was it. Draco had told me on the ride to the castle that I was not to associate myself with him. I of course, wouldn't listen to him.
I sometimes wonder where my life would have turned, had I headed Draco's warning and did indeed, stay away from this guy. I wouldn't however, give up my time spent with him for the world. Yes, I do have regrets and he was one of them. But I am pushing forward when I should be staying with the present topic.
After he dinner was over and we had gotten to our house. The Slytherin dungeon, it was called, and rightfully so for it sat in the depths of the castle. There were no windows from our common room. Only hard cold stonewalls. It was really rather charming, in it's own way. Even knowing I was housed in the dungeon quarts of the castle, I felt at home here. I thought to myself how brilliant that sorting hat must be. I smiled, for the first time I had stepped into this school.
After I found my room, I decided I needed to study my alchemy books so; I walked back down to our common room and straight out the porthole. I found a ghost, I'm not sure which it was, but I asked directions to the library and headed that way.
I seated myself at a table in the library and soon found myself deep into my studies when I felt eyes upon me. I looked up and there he was, that guy from the train. He stood a good five foot ten or perhaps more. He had black, short hair and the most brilliant ice-blue eyes you could possibly think of. I smiled.
"Hello." I said simply.
He smiled. "Hi, names Max. I noticed you're with Draco, mind if I sit." He said.
"Sure, and no, I'm not really with him, although I get the feeling that's where he'd like me to be." I smiled and perhaps even chuckled a little.
Max sat down. He didn't say anything for a little while, just sat there, looking at me. Finally he smiled that wonderful smile of his again.
"What are you studying?" He asked.
"Alchemy, it's my favorite subject." I replied.
"Oh, mine too." Hee said. Then he looked out the library door at someone passing.
"Hey, you want to go for a walk or something?" He asked.
What else could I do but agree. Here was the most gorgeous guy I had ever seen asking me for a walk, I certainly wasn't going to turn him down.
I'M DEAD?!!!NOOOOO!!!!*begoins mourning his loss of self*lol....keep going.
( ;) :-*)
Kiara then smiled at her listeners and stood up.
"Well, I believe that's all for today. It's late and I really need to get home. We can continue this tomorrow." Kiara said, giving Moloch a slight grin.
"Yes, perhaps you're right. I agree, it is rather late and Celeste has her lessons to think about tomorrow." Kami agreed.
"Ok, grandmother but, you will continue tomorrow, right?" Celeste added.
"Yes child, this I do promise, you've waited a long time for this and I promised you the entire story so, I will be around again tomorrow afternoon." Kiara finished then she and Moloch said their goodnights and left the home.
Kami sat next to the fire looking at her mother. She had a great many questions about her grandmother and now, her grandfather. She felt that perhaps this would be the time to ask her mother about them.
"Mom, who is grandma? I mean, what is it that she does now? No one seems to ever speak of her actions these days." Celeste asked.
Kami smiled at her daughter. "Celeste, no one has the right to tell you what it is that she does but her and don't go asking questions about your grandfather, not even I know who he really is. Your grandmother and he, are the only two who know the answer to that question and it isn't likely that they'll ever tell a single soul the truth to that one." Kami said, still smiling at her daughter. She knew that Celeste had the same feelings toward Moloch as she did, the feeling that he was definitely hiding something.
PART TWO
The next day, as promised, Kiara showed up in the garden and sat amongst the flowers in the heat of the sun, waiting for her granddaughter to come home so she could continue her story.
Celeste came walking up the garden path, her bright sundress of yesterday replaced now by the robes of her current masters liking. They were of a dark green and made of a rather light material, one unknown to the human race. The material shimmered as the sun caught it. Kiara smiled at her, knowing full well whom she had studied with this morning, Kiara had worn the same robes when she studied under this particular wizard.
"I can't believe that Belgarion still insists on his students wearing the same robes." Kiara smiled as she watched her granddaughter walk up the path.
"Hello grandmother." Celeste said with a slight smile.
The two walked on further into the garden and sat down upon the soft grass in the middle of the garden, no blanket this time, Kiara wanted to feel the soft, slightly cool grass beneath her as she sat in the shade of the willow tree.
"So, shall we get started then?" Kiara asked as they sat.
"We're not waiting for anyone else?" Celeste asked, knowing she shouldn't have as soon as she did.
"Oh, do you want to wait? I'm sure we could find something else to do for the next couple hours until your mother and grandfather come home for the day." Kiara answered, raising her brow.
"No grandma, I am sorry, please, continue. You were just at the place where you and Max went for a walk. I've been dying to find out what happens. I can't believe you left it hanging there like that." Celeste said in a nervous tone, hoping her grandmother would continue and forget about her stupid question.
Kiara merely smiled then looking out toward the far side of the garden she began again.
Max and I walked outside, we had no destination intended we just walked along the edge of the castle. He looked at me and then back out towards the woods, I couldn't help but ask the next question.
"What is it between you and Draco? I mean how do you know each other." I asked
"Draco and I used to be good friends but I couldn't stand the way he treated Muggleborns. Eventually we had a big fight over it and since then, we've been enemies." He shrugged. "What was it he said to you about me? I noticed that he rushed you off rather quickly after our confrontation back at the station." He finished.
"Oh, he told me that I would do best not to associate with, the likes of you." I giggled slightly. "He's got the idea that he owns me, I've got news for him though." I replied.
We walked on for a bit longer then I stopped and turned to him. Not knowing why and told him upfront who my father was. I guess I wanted to get it out of my system or perhaps because he had answered me so honestly about him and Draco. I still don't know why I did but was immediately glad I had.
Instead of backing away he smiled.
"That's ok, everyone is, sooner or later, some one's someone's father." He told me with a grin. Then it was forgotten.
I have to admit, this is apsolutely amazing :) please post more
keep going,your doing great.
Max then laughed slightly. "Do you know, Draco told me that you were his although you didn't know it yet." He stopped and smiled at me, knowing he had just let slip something that Draco definitely didn't want me to know. I stopped too then smiled and we began to walk again.
"Imagine the look on his face if he were to find me out here with you." I said.
"Yes, indeed, do tell me the look I would have if I found the two of you out for a midnight stroll." I heard the all too familiar drawl of Draco's voice behind us.
I stopped abruptly and turned slowly. There standing right behind us was not just Draco but Crabbe and Goyle as well. I froze for a moment. Max turned and sneered. He obviously was a bit angry at the fact that Draco had been able to sneak up on us. However, Max stood there calmly and took a step back, his arms crossed, watching.
"I told you to stay away from him Kiara." Draco said, his voice angry but even.
"Since when do I take orders from the likes of you, Draco Malfoy." I replied, my temper rising.
"You will come with me now and forget you even met this looser." Draco said, Crabbe and Goyle each now spread out so that Max and I were more or less surrounded.
I looked around and noticed that Max still stood with his arms crossed, he looked a lot less nervous than I so I relaxed a bit. For some reason, his presence kept my temper from getting the better of me.
Next thing I know, Goyle has come up behind me, grabbing my hands and holding me tight. Try as I might, I couldn't free my hands. You see, at that young age, I had not yet learned to focus my powers with out the use of my hands so, I was basically helpless.
Max started over to help me but Draco let loose a stunning charm that downed him flat. I was finally able to loose Goyle's grip on me and as soon as I was freed, I threw Goyle across the lawn and slammed him into a tree, knocking him out. I was just turning to help Max when I noticed he had already recovered from his momentary stunned position.
Crabb went after him next, but Max was too quick and rendered him unconscious as well. This left Draco, Max and myself. Max resumed his crossed arm position but never left, he simply stood back once again, watching.
"I am not going with you Draco. Now that your out numbered perhaps you'll realize your position in this matter." I turned and growled at him.
"No, Kiara, you must come with me, if you don't then you risk his life along with your own." Draco replied, a look of triumph crossing his now sneering features.
I looked at Max and then back again to Draco. Max cleared his throat and I turned again to regard him. He said nothing but instead looked at me and shook his head. He didn't want me to back down so, I didn't.
Draco and I had a huge shouting match. I don't recall every word of it but the last ones.
"Look Draco, I heard what you and my father have planned for me and I'm telling you now that it WILL NOT happen, I will never marry you." I began but was interrupted by Draco's laughter.
"If I can't persuade you to come with me on your own terms then perhaps the imperious curse would do the job." He sneered at me again.
His last words surprised me, I wondered if he really would use that curse on me. I paused then simply ran off crying. I couldn't stand up to any longer, he had won the fight, this time.
I ran into the castle, down the hall to an empty room, sat on one of the tables, and buried my head in my arms. Soon, the door to the room opened and Max came over and sat next to me, and then put his arm around my shoulders.
Kiara paused her story to take a look around the garden then, satisfied that they still had ample sun light left, continued her story.
keep going!!!! :) ;)
I turned into is shoulder and cried a bit more but began to calm down as he put his other arm around me and held me tight.
"Are you ok?" He asked after a bit.
I looked up and he let me go. "Ya, thanks for everything." I said and managed a little smile.
"Thanks for what?" He asked with a curious look on his face.
"Well, for sticking around and standing with me. Most guys would have left me to my own and not wanted anything to do with the situation. Sorry I got you involved." I replied.
"You didn't get me involved, I decided to get involved." Max told me then he smiled. "Hey, you want to go to Hogsmead?" He asked.
"What's that?" I asked curiously. I had no idea of what he was talking about, I was soon about to find out. "Sure, any place is better than going back to that common room where Draco will be." I finished.
"Come on, I'll show you." Max stood up and motioned for me to follow him. I did.
That was the first time I had been to a totally wizarding town. There was no hiding anything away, everything was magical about it. You could tell just by walking into the places. It was probably the most wonderful place I have ever known.
"Lets go in here." I pointed at a bar looking place, the sign over the door read:
THE THREEBROOMSTICKS
Max found us seats then went to the bar and when he came back he handed me a drink. I tasted it and smiled. It was probably the best tasting stuff I had ever drank in my fifteen years.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Butterbeer. Good isn't it?" He replied with a smile, obviously he was happy to see me so excited about every ting.
I found myself staring at him, I couldn't help it. Here he was, the best looking guy I had ever known, and he was not just that, he was also, caring. Max had a certain air about him that made one feel comfortable around him. Well, that's how he seemed to me anyway. I was rapidly falling for him, not that I seemed to have a choice, I couldn't help myself. I guess you could call it love at first sight. Yes, definitely, love at first sight.
I could feel the nervousness in him. I smiled and suggested we go elsewhere. We both finished our drinks then stood and walked over to the candy shop. Hunny Dukes, I believe it was called. They had all sorts of candy, a great lot of it too. Now this place, I think will forever be my favorite place in the entire world.
Max showed and explained all the different types of treats in the shop, as he explained, I picked out two of each item. I noticed him smiling at me as I walked around the shop. I smiled to myself. It was such a warming feeling I had with him around. Almost like having your favorite blanket wrapped around you and sitting next to a crackling fire on a chilly night.
Kiara paused, her expression a happy one as she remembered her first feelings towards this wizard. Celeste noticed the smile she put on her face. She had never before seen her grandmother look this way, it was almost sad, thinking that the two of them couldn't be together again.
"I'm sorry dear, where was I – Oh, Hunny Dukes –"
After we had paid for all the sweets, I really had quite a lot of them. We left the shop. The next stop was back to the Three Broomsticks for another Butterbeer. We sat in the booth for quite a long time talking. I would continually find myself studying Max; I think he was kind of embarrassed. So, once again, I suggested we go else where, to get my mind on something other than him, although that's not what I told him. The whole thing was really becoming quite alarming as I realized how my feelings for him were going. My dilemma was suddenly apparent, did I really want to put him in the line of fire from my father? I definitely didn't want any harm to befall this person.
We walked into a Quidditch supply shop then, Max went straight for the newest racing broom, The Silver Phoenix, it was called. I noticed his excitement at finding this. I had to do something to repay his kindness so, I told him I'd be right back and went looking for the owner of the shop.
"Here you go son." The owner said as he took the broom from its display and handed it to Max.
"I do believe this belongs to you now." He finished as Max nearly fainted from joy.
Max was at a loss for words. He looked from the broom and then to me several times, a huge smile pasted on his gorgeous face. I couldn't have been happier than to see him this ecstatic.
"How, what, where? Where did you get the money for this?" He managed to finally say.
I laughed then put on a snobbish attitude.
"Well, I am a member of the richest family in these here parts you know. I simply put it on Lucius's account. Don't worry, he'll think I spent it on clothes and other girl stuff." I smiled.
So true ::)

So true ::)
Wow! Keep going babe, this story ROCKS!! :-*
~ :-[Also...what does 'BUMP' mean?? :-[ ~
yeah what?
(just that they want her to continue the story, i think...)
Great Kiara!
bump means when you are walking you hit something infrontof you ::)
actually, it means to keep writing, sorry it's been a while, I've been really busy. but here's some more ppl ;))
"Hum, thanks." He managed again.
I suddenly had a horrible thought. I turned to Max and told him I wanted to go back to the school. He looked questionably at me.
"Draco will soon seek me out here and I don't want him to. I want to remember this night just the way it is, ok?" I told him, and he nodded his understanding.
Kiara took a look around the garden and noticed the shadows creeping along the ground, reaching out as if wanting to engulf everything they touched in their darkness. She stood up and looked at her granddaughter.
"I think it's about time to retire into the house Celeste." Kiara spoke, still watching the ever-creeping shadows.
"Ok grandmother." Celeste responded almost automatically to her grandmothers' words.
The two girls walked once again along the path to the house. Kiara once again being sure not to let the creeping shadows over take her. Celeste watched her grandmother from behind, noticing how she would step either right or left to avoid being caught up in the shadows of a tree or a statue as she passed them. One of these days, Celeste thought she'd have to ask why her grandmother avoided the shadows so carefully. Of course, it might be revealed in her story so she decided to hold off.
They entered the house and walked straight for the drawing room. Kami entered with a plate of sandwiches for them to eat and a picture of iced-tea. After the three of them settled down and ate, Kiara began once again her story.
Well, we entered the common room and sat for a bit, talking some more when Harry Potter came down, how he acquired the correct password for entrance, I do not know but non the less, he was there.
"Harry, nice of you to stop by, what brings you down to our part of the castle this late hour?" I asked, still feeling that strong sense that I should, know him.
Max looked between the two of us, I got the feeling he was thinking pretty much the same as I. He smiled and told us that he'd be off to bed and left. I felt a great disappointment for his leaving but now; I had the opportunity to get to know this Harry Potter.
Harry and I sat for a while, talking to one another about various subjects before we finally got to the point of his real reason for seeking me out.
"I actually came down here to ask you a question Kiara." He started. "I was wondering, now don't think me odd for asking this but, do you get the same feeling that you should know me as I do for you?" He finished, looking a little embarrassed for asking.
"Harry, I was hoping it wasn't just I who felt this, perhaps, we should speak with Dumbledore on the subject. He can probably shed some sort of light, if there is any to be shed." I replied with a kind smile.
In the office of Professor Dumbledore now, Harry and I were seated across from one another, waiting for our question to be answered. Professor Dumbledore put on a curious expression, one that I could not read.
Kiara paused with a curious expression of her own.
"You know, to this day, he is the only person who's feelings I could never read. Interesting ---" She smiled then shook her head and continued.
this story makes me wantto read more and more!keep going,please...
"I think it's about time for me to tell you two something I should have told you a long time ago." Dumbledore said then paused to regard the two of us shortly before continuing.
"The reason you two feel so strongly that you should know one another is, your twins. Yes, twins, you were separated at birth in order to keep your father from finding you both and killing you." He then looked to Harry. "Harry, your parents are Aurora Maul and, I am sorry for this but, Voldemort." He paused to seek Harry's reaction.
Harry sat silently for a few moments; I could tell he was fighting against the horror of finding out that his real father was Voldemort. Finally, after several moments of silence, he stood up and smiled. I stood also, running over to him and giving him a giant hug. I noticed that Dumbledore had a smile on his face; I also noticed the relief showing in his whole person.
"I guess, I had always figured that Voldemort was my father. Now that I know for sure, I can stop all I disagreeumptions and worries as to why I do certain things." He gave Dumbledore a wink.
Something obviously I didn't know anything about had already transpired that led him to believe this fact so, I left it alone, I was certain it would come out sooner or later.
Well, the rest of the school year went pretty much uneventful, save for the small incident of when Draco did actually use the imperious curse on me. Now that, I must tell for it has a rather amusing ending.
Kiara stopped as Moloch entered the room. She stood and walked to him, giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"Your just in time to here the imperious curse story." She smiled
Celeste thought perhaps she noticed the same sort of expression on her grandmother's face as when she remembered her first feelings of the Max character. Celeste smiled, thinking perhaps she wasn't so sad after all.
"Well, I'm glad I showed when I did then, this is one of my favorites." Moloch smiled as he returned her kiss. Then the two of them sat down and Kiara continued.
As it happened, Max and I had gotten pretty close. We were sitting in front of the fire in the common room and it just happened. We kissed for the first time. Unfortunately, Draco came walking in at that particular moment. Max and I were, of course, to preoccupied to notice him.
Next thing I know, Max is lying stunned on the couch, and Draco is trying to pull me away from him. I'm not really sure how it all happened, Draco suddenly went limp, hit by a stun curse from someone else, as I looked up, I saw a blonde girl standing there with a smile etched across her face. I had seen her before, she was with Ron. Her name was Emily.
"Hum, thanks." I said a little out of breath from the physical struggle with Draco. I then stood up and began kicking him in the ribs, harder and harder until Emily came over and pulled me off him.
"He's not worth it Kiara, stop." Emily said as she grabbed my arm and pulled me to the couch.
I don't really remember a whole lot of our conversation but this is the time I found out that Emily, was my cousin. I remember also, that she was my tracker during the time I spent with the Malfoy's'. She was there to be sure that if something had gone wrong, I would get help. Also, however, she or no one else could ever interfere with what it was that I did. They, like me, had to sit and watch the terrible atrocities Voldemort had me do.
Kiara paused again then got a slight smile on her face and looked at Moloch who also drew a grin. Then Kiara started to laugh and continued her story.
Max had been stunned, I forgot about him as Emily and I were talking. I felt bad but at the same time, as I do now, found it amusing as well.
Suddenly, Harry appeared from behind an invisibility cloak and unturned Max. The first words from Max when he came out of it were, and I remember them well as he looked more than a little embarrassed.
"Hum, how long have you been here Harry?" Max had said.
"Long enough Max, long enough." Harry replied with a wink that further added to Max's embarrassment.
its a great story, only I'm a little confused....what,exactly,happened to me?and, who is moloch?keep going, and give me the answer in your next post.
(Moloch is Kiara's husband, now..won't really say too much about him, you have to figure out who he is, just the same as Celeste does. Draco stunned you...silly, pay attention. :-*and I quote....."Celeste paused in the archway to the room, just for a moment, her grandfather some what scared her, although she knew he'd never harm her. He was an impressive wizard. Now, middle aged looking although his age was quite undetermined and Celeste had never asked it. He stood a good six feet tall had dark, almost black hair and the most impressive ice blue eyes she had ever seen. His name was Moloch.")
Of course, me being me, leaned over and kissed Max just because I knew what he was embarrassed about. "Sorry I took so long to have you brought back to us." I told him.
"That's ok, you and Emily had a few things to talk about any way." He replied.
Well, that night, I had a nightmare; the same continues one I'd been having since my first encounter with my dad. So, I got up, took my journal down by the fire, and wrote in it for a bit before finally falling back to sleep. I really don't know much about the next few days, it would seem, Draco had made good on his promise and did indeed use the imperious curse on me. That morning whilst I slept. And no one else was around. This is what I am told though:
First off, I guess, I was found in the hallway on Draco's arm, acting as though he were the only thing in the world that mattered to me. Then, at breakfast, I guess that Max came down and I didn't even look at him. Draco kissed me right in front of him and everything and I let him do it. Finally, after a day or so, and I still hadn't shaken it myself, I guess that Max undid the curse. Now this is where it becomes a little amusing. You see, Draco came down stairs right as I had, walked up to me, and tried to kiss me. Of course this landed him ten feet across the floor. The look on his face was priceless. He turned an angry face to Max and said,
"Max! You just wait!" Then Draco got up and left.
I hadn't known about being under that curse yet so I just shook my head, wondering what in the hell Draco could have possibly been thinking. Max just shrugged as if nothing had happened.
Kiara paused again to take a drink and smiled at Moloch before continuing.
I suppose, that brings me to another important part of my first year at Hoggwarts. Now when I say my first year, I am referring to what would normally be a persons fifth year, I was fifteen.
About a week later, I was sitting at the table in the Great Hall, Max was serving a detention with Professor Snape, Oh I haven't told you much about him, I will though, Draco came in, he was holding a slip of paper in his hand. He sat down across from me with an all mighty look upon his face.
"You made a real mistake Kiara, not only have you put yourself in danger from your father but now, I'm afraid I have to bring Max into it as well. It's your fault what happens from here on out." Then Draco stood back up and walked out again. I know now that the piece of paper he held in that hand of his was a letter to is father about Max and myself. Perhaps if I hadn't been so shocked by his words, I would have noticed it and been able to stop it but, I didn't.
Not two weeks before school was out, the largest upset of the year happened, Voldemort took Max.
I saw it happen, right in the middle of the hallway leading to our common room. Max was walking my way, there was a cloaked figure talking to him. Next thing I know, Max is on the ground, and the two of them are gone.
Harry and Emily came running over, Harry did something with Max's wand, which had fallen to the ground, and we three were teleported to Max's position.
is he me?? keep;going.!
Max was unconscious; Voldemort had obviously attacked him as soon as he had arrived. Harry and Voldemort dueled for a bit then just as Emily and I began to help, Voldemort grabbed hold of Max, and the two of them disappeared again.
The three of us searched the caverns we were in and finally found the two if them once more. This time, I was able to get Max out of there before Voldemort took off with him again. Thankfully, Harry and Emily got out as well. We all apperated back just out side the school grounds. We took Max directly to the hospital wing where Madam Pomfrey took over his care.
As soon as I was assured that Max was going to be ok, I went after Draco. Emily must have been reading my mind, so to speak, for she came immediately behind me.
"Kiara, wait, I told you, he's not worth it." She said as she tried, in vain to stop me.
My mind was set, my anger had gone out of my control now, and there wasn't any stopping me now. I stormed the halls of the school; any who mistakenly got in my way were tossed aside to land either against a wall or into a class.
When I finally found Draco, he was sitting in the common room with Crabbe and Goyle; they were mistakenly talking about what would happen to Max and laughing about it. As soon as Emily heard them, she too became unglued.
She took care of Crabbe and Goyle almost as soon as they noticed our entering the room. Draco stood up and stumbled backwards over the edge of the couch. I brought my will to bear and as soon as I was to unleash, what would have been the end of Draco Malfoy, Max stepped through the porthole and grabbed me from behind.
"Kiara stop!" He yelled forcefully, and I did. It was odd the way he could stop me in my tracks when not even Dumbledore could manage it.
As soon as he let me go, I stepped forward and glared at Draco with what must have been the fiercest look he had ever received from any one, or thing for that matter, because his face paled to the color of bleached parchment. He stepped further back and froze to the spot. Not until Max told him, rather harshly that he should get out of my sight, did he finally find movement enough to take off to the guys dorm.
Max collapsed on the couch with a stern look upon his face; it was directed at me.
"What am I supposed to do with you, huh?" He asked in an angry voice. "If Dumbledore hadn't come and gotten me out of that hospital you would have killed him Kiara. Do you realize that. You've got to learn to control that temper of yours, think clearly." He finished although not with the same anger as he started.
All I could do was stand there and stare at him. Who in the hell does he think he is, berating me this way? I asked myself, still looking for a source to release my anger. However, it wasn't working, the longer he looked at me, the calmer I became until finally, I sighed and sat next to him. Max put his arm around me and smiled.
"Well, at least we know that someone in the school can keep you from killing everyone you get angry with." he teased.
"Sorry Max, Emily, I – I guess I owe you both a lot. I could be in serious trouble just now if it weren't for your interference." I smiled at them a bit.
Kiara stopped there and took one more drink from her glass, emptying it. Then, she looked about at her listeners.
"Once again, I think it time for a break, I'm starving, I don't know about the rest of you." Kiara smiled a soft almost, loving, smile at her family.
"I agree, I am famished." Kami replied also smiling. Then, she stood and together, her and Kiara disappeared into the kitchen.
keep going...please.
"Well, I guess there's no help for it, we will just have to wait for dinner to be over with until your grandmother will continue with her story then." Moloch said to Celeste.
"Ya, I guess so –" Celeste answered, not liking to be alone with her grandfather but not wanting to be rude by leaving him alone.
"Do you have any questions that might be burning in your little head pertaining to your grandmother's story?" Moloch asked.
"Yes, I guess I do, her first year at the school is almost over now, right. Well, what about Max, I mean, I just don't get it, how come he and no one else always calmed her?" She asked.
Moloch smiled as he thought how to answer her question best.
"You know what, I think you'll have to wait for that answer, it will be reveled to you as it was to her. It happens in their sixth year, Kiara's second." Moloch said as he looked upon his granddaughter with those ice-blue eyes, seemingly staring straight into her very soul as he did so. Celeste had to look away from that gaze, it made her very nervous.
"I have a question for you Celeste, if you don't mind, that is." Moloch said, now looking into the fire.
"Ok, grandfather, go ahead, what is it you need know?" Celeste said, although she wasn't sure she would want to answer his question, she had the feeling it was going to reveal the fact that she had a great distrust for him.
"You seem rather nervous around me when it is just the two of us, why, when you know I would never dream of doing a thing to harm you." Moloch said with a slight undertone of accusation in his voice.
Celeste had a moment of panic then it was replaced with a bit of anger at herself for staying with him instead of helping her mother in the kitchen. She looked up and met Moloch's gaze.
"I – Well, I really don't know for sure what it is grandfather, I get the feeling that your not really who you say you are, that's about it, really." She answered truthfully.
Moloch sat back on the couch his hands under his chin, in the form of prayer, and thought for a moment.
"Celeste, we all hide things, from time to time, and you are correct in assuming that I hide something from you and your mother as well. I'll tell you what, if you haven't figured out the answer to your question about me by the time Kiara has finished her story, I'll let in on our little secret. How is that?" He finished with a slight grin on his incredibly handsome face.
Celeste smiled a little at this, the fact that she had a chance to guess his secret made her fill up with, the joy of the hunt, as Kiara would put it.
"Ok grandfather, it's a deal. But I want to try and guess it first, ok? Just one question though." She paused to look again at her grandfather, now with more certainty. "The clues will or are all in the story, right?" She finished.
Moloch smiled at her and even chuckled a bit.
"Yes child, they are, you can seek them out and put them all together quite simply, if you pay attention." He winked at her. "Although, you might wish to wait until she is done before coming to any conclusions for there are things that you want to be that could never be. Also, there are things that may actually surprise you in this story of her life, they still surprise me and I know it well." He finished.
Kiara and Kami called the two of them in for dinner at that moment so they put their conversation on hold until their next opportunity at being alone.
Kiara raised her brow when she saw that the two of them were actually smiling after being left alone. She knew something was up between them but she thought perhaps it best to leave it alone, they were getting along and that was enough.
After dinner was over and they had retired back to the drawing room, Kiara once again began her stor

After the incident with Draco and Max, I decided to try once again to be released out of the custody of the Malfoy's but however, even after telling my story about Voldemort, the Ministry would have none of it. I was beginning to think they wanted me there, perhaps to report on activities and such of both Lucius and Voldemort.
School was out and I had said my good byes to my new friends and, Max. The later was the most difficult. I seemed at a loss with out him, how I ever managed before, I do not know. Slowly, the feelings of rage and hatred begin to creep up on me again. At first, they seemed lying under the surface, dormant, but still there. However, I found out quickly, that they were not idly standing by, they had a trigger, that trigger was people.
I was standing in the office of Cornelius Fudge when they showed their ugly face. I had just found out why, precisely, they wanted me at the Malfoy's and, I disagreeumptions were very close to exact.
"So, let me get this straight, Minister." I growled. "You won't let me be with my family because you need an inside person?" I finished, the anger growing in me at a great speed.
"Yes Kiara, that is precisely why you're to stay where you are. I need you to get all the information possible, collect documentation if you can. I –" He never finished that sentence.
I had heard enough, this little weasel of a wizard, this politician, was keeping me, not only from my family but also, Max, just to make himself look good in front of the public, to make it look as though he were doing something about the Voldemort problem.
I don't really remember exactly what it was I did, the only thing I know is that within a few seconds, thank goodness, several wizards were restraining me. Evidently, as I am told, I attacked him after telling his exactly what I thought of his plan. This of course, ended any possibility of talking him out of the whole thing and I was, as it looked, permanently stuck, at the Malfoy Manor.
I was taken down stairs to the awaiting car that would take me back home to my prison and the Gods only knew what awaited me there. I was certain it wasn't going to be anything good because of my decided actions throughout the school year.
Kiara stopped there. It was getting late and she was beginning to get tired as was, she noticed, Celeste.
"Ok, enough for tonight, I'll relate my summer tomorrow, after you get back from your lessons. " She said, smiling at Celeste.
"Ok, grandmother." Celeste answered, not wanting her to stop but understanding that it was indeed late.
They all stood and after Celeste and Kami said their goodnights and had left the room. Kiara turned to Moloch.
"So, has she figured anything out yet?" She asked, smiling at Moloch's surprised expression.
"Well, she knows I'm not who I say I am, but that's about it. I told her to listen carefully and she'd figure it out." He replied after his initial shock at how Kiara would know, was over, then he, and Kiara dissaperated from the room.

PART THREE
The next day, Kiara sat in the garden but she wasn't alone this time. Sitting with her was a man of an obvious older age; he was still quite handsome, with black hair and a beard. His hair was graying slightly at his temples and he wore a genuinely kind smile.
They were sitting on the same bench that Celeste and Kiara sat on when Kiara first began her story. They were talking and laughing when Celeste walked up the path.
Celeste saw them sitting together and paused before continuing on, she didn't want to interrupt these two. She figured they might be talking about her. The man her grandmother sat with now, was non other than Belgarion, Lord of the West and God slayer. He was also, Celeste's favorite Master.
Kiara looked over at Celeste when she paused.
"Its ok child, come and sit with us." She smiled. "Belgarion will be joining us this afternoon. He heard that I was telling my story so, wanted to listen; besides, his part in this isn't over." She finished.
Celeste walked slowly forwards, bowing slightly to King Belgarion as she approached.
"Oh, no formalities Celeste, this is your garden and I should be the one bowing to you. You have done a beautiful job in this. The plants and the animals are extremely pleased with you." Belgarion said to Celeste as she walked forward.
Celeste thanked him for his kind words then sat on the grass at their feet. Kiara looked at the two of then began her story, once again.
When the car pulled up the drive and stopped at the front door, I got out. Lucius and Draco, both looking like they wanted no more than to see me suffer, greeted me then. Well, They got their wish.
I had only taken a few steps towards them when it hit me, I was dropped to the ground in the worst pain ever, I noticed, although barely, my father step just behind Lucius, a look of fury on his snakelike face. Obviously he had unleashed the Crutatious curse upon me, I can think of nothing else in this world, including burning to death, which could match the pain of that curse.
He stopped his attack just before I lost consciousness. The three left me to myself as they turned and walked back into the house. I remained on the ground for several minutes before finally trusting my muscles to work properly again. I stood, anger welling up like you couldn't believe. I was intent on punishing my father for his rude and unnecessary attack upon me as I stormed into the house after them. However, when I got inside, Voldemort and Lucius were, I was told by Draco, off on an errand.
"This is your fault, I should kill you, Max isn't here to stop me this time Draco." I hissed.
"Yes, I suppose you could at that, Kiara. However, you might want to think about what you said first." Draco replied calmly, with a slight smile on his face. "Max only continues to stay alive at my request. If you killed me, or hurt me for that fact, his days would be numbered." Draco finished with that snide look that to this day, I wish I could have torn from his face.
I didn't have to ask who would be doing the killing. It was bad enough already that Max had gained the personal attention of my father, I didn't want more trouble for him so I simply tore myself away from Draco and walked, nay, stormed off to my room, listening, all the while to Draco's laughter fallowing me as if it were there with the sole purpose to taunt me, until I finally made it to my room and shut the door behind me.
I leaned against the door, listening to the silence for I don't know how long before I realized I wasn't alone on the room.
keep going!
I scanned the room for the intruder but saw no one. Who ever it was, had hidden himself well. I felt his presence but couldn't figure out quite whom it was.
"Who's there?' I asked out loud, my anger burning alive once again. I didn't know if my father or perhaps, Lucius might have stationed some wizard or witch to spy on me.
I searched in vain for an invisible person. Finally, I let myself calm down and sat at my vanity, closing my eyes and searched with my mind instead of my eyes. A trick learned from none other than our Master Belgarion.
Kiara pause and smiled at her former teacher then continued.
Eventually, I found my target. It would seem that my asumption was correct. Voldem0rt had indeed set up a spy in my room. What I did next was probably a little overkill but like I said, my temper was uncontrolled back then.
As soon as my mind connected with hers, I drew her out, forced her to reveal herself then, still holding her mind with mine, I sent a small stream of flames to hers, directly. There was a moment of panic written on her pretty little face then horror and then she let out a horrifying scream, grabbed her head, and was dead. I actually laughed at her pain. I couldn't help myself; it was as though I became my father for a moment. Everything I detested in him, I had become, if only for a moment.
Suddenly, the door to my room flew open and in came Draco, followed by both my father hand Lucius. They all stood there for a moment, looking at what I had done to their little spy then, my father started a low, dead chuckle.
"You are truly my daughter." He said, now looking at me as if I had done something brilliant.
"I am no more your daughter than I am your friend." I hissed. Now knowing that this was what he had hoped I would do, kill his unsuspecting servant simply because she was following his orders. I realized then that if I didn't get away from this environment soon, I would truly become just as horrible a monster as he.
Voldemort laughed harder at my realization. He knew I couldn't help it any more than a wild animal could help killing a wounded animal for easy dinner. I was his daughter and I had no choice but to become like him, it was in my blood.
"No, Kiara, you are mine. Much unlike your brother who was ruined by one Albus Dumbledore, you are mine." He said, now looking at me with the same, red eyes as he always wore, the mask of pure evil in which I shuddered against in the night, the face that made small children cry and grown men cower in the dark for fear of their lives.
It was abundantly clear as to why so many witches and wizards feared to even speak his name. Just being in his mere presence, could make your blood turn cold and send goose bumps down your spine. However, I stood my ground against him and strengthened my resolve. I had to, if I didn't then everything I worked for would be lost and I would most certainly become that which no one in the whole world cared to have me become, although, I did not know this at the time.
"Not if I can help it, I'm not." I replied with a hiss. Then, something I had never done before happened. I spoke in Parceltongue, snake language, for the first time ever.
I told him that if I ever became as evil and twisted as he, he would be my first victim and that I would be sure he suffered enough for all those he had made me torture.
His only reaction to this was to return my statement in Parceltongue with a retort that to this day, chills me through and through.
"I am Lord Voldem0rt child, I can never die. For even if I am to loose my mortal body, I will carry on for the rest of eternity until such opportunity arises for me to return.
To be on my bad side when this happens would be a horrible thing for you. I am the darkest shadows that creep across your lawn, I am the night chill that flows through your body and sends chills down your spine. I am darkness eternal and there is no life with out me."
When he finished speaking, he turned and walked from the room, leaving me in the shock of realization that there really was no defeating this monster, he was, evil, not merely an evil being but evil it's self.
Lucius left in the wake of my father but Draco remained. His expression was one I couldn't make out. I didn't know as to rather he was gloating over the fact that I had just proved to the three of them as to my true identity, or if he was stunned at the conversation he had no idea in what was said. Either way, I wished he'd leave; I wasn't in the mood for company just now, at least not the like of him.
BUMP!

"What is it that you want of me? If it isn't important then I think you should leave." I said as I disposed of the body lying in my room.
"I think I'll stay for a bit, I had hoped we could actually talk." Draco replied in a rather calm tone. He didn't seem to be letting on, the feelings I was getting from him, instead, he acted quite the opposite. He stood there all puffed up as if he were a king or something. Little did he know that I knew his real feelings and I intended on playing on his frightened state.
"Ok Draco, then if you insist, why not take a seat." I motioned to a chair in the corner for him to sit upon. I sat back at my vanity and watched as he seated himself across form me. My gaze was lees than friendly, quite the opposite, actually. I could tell that my gaze alone sent chills down his spine.
"What was it you wanted to discuss, I don't have all day to wait around for you to speak, please do hurry." I said to him in a deathly calm tone, I am sure my eyes flashed at the end of my words, I saw them in the mirror.
"Well, I – that is – Oh, never mind." He stood and began walking out of my room.
I began to laugh, and followed him with my eyes as he walked slowly towards the door. I got up and began to walk rather closely behind him. He mistakenly stopped, falling into my trap a little too easily. He was sometimes not the sharpest crayon in the box.
Draco turned around to face me, his expression a bit apprehensive. I simply stepped in closer and, taking his head in my hand, delivered a kiss that I am sure he remembered until the end of his days.
At first, he was taken by surprise, and I knew he liked this however, soon it became apparent to him that I intended him harm. A flash of light engulfed us both and within a few minuets, Draco fell to the floor, unconscious. I stepped back and looked upon my work, a smile creeping across my face as I remembered what he had done to Max.
"Consider yourself lucky I left you alive, Draco Malfoy." I said out loud, and then I turned and stepped in to the bathroom and drew the water and eventually, stepped in side for a relaxing bath to whisk away the stress of the day. I left Draco lying on my floor out by the entrance. I would wake him up and send him on his way after I had finished.
Several days later after getting a lecture on how I should treat Draco, I was once again in the bath, soaking away the day's strains, not to mention the blood from the poor victims selected by my father. Draco came in the baths. I looked up and glared at him.
"Get out. Now -- " I hissed.
Draco only sneered. "No, Kiara I think not. I've got a present for you and I intend to give it to you now." He said with a sinister look upon his face.
"Very well, what is it?" I inquired, sitting under the foam bubbles as carefully as I could so as not to let him have a peek at anything.
"Oh no, you have to close your eyes and hold out your hand." He replied, not moving from his current position.
"Oh very well, get on with it then." I held out my right hand for him and closed my eyes.
"I meant both your hands, it's rather large." He replied. I did as he asked, anything to get him the hell out of the bathroom so I could relax.
Draco grabbed my left hand and slipped something on to my ring finger. I opened my eyes and jerked my hand away.
"Oh real cute Draco, no thanks, you can have it back." I replied, then, I tried to take the ring off, only it wouldn't budge.
"This isn't funny, take it off, now!" I growled at him, he didn't move, instead, he sat on the chair next to the tub and smiled down at me.
"Very well, have it your way then." I replied as I started to bring my will to bear down on him, but it wouldn't work, each time I thought about hurting him, my powers failed me. I must have looked horror struck because he started to laugh.
"What did you do." I stated more than asked, knowing full well he'd tell me now that he knew I couldn't harm him.
"I put your engagement ring on your finger Kiara, nothing more, nothing less. Oh, your father has cursed it so that you can't harm a hair on my head, dearest." He said with his usual smirk.
"I may not be able to use my powers on you but just wait until I get my hands on you Draco." I glared at him. This only made him laugh even more.
"What?" I snapped.
"Oh, it's just that no, you can't hurt me that way either, I'm afraid your going to have to be a good little fiancé, Kiara. None of this threatening and such for, you may not be able to touch me but I certainly can harm you, if you make me do so." He said, leaning back in the chair and acquiring that same, snide expression I hated so much.
I was at a loss here now. Once again, Draco had gotten the best of me, although, it wasn't by himself, he had the help of my father and his. I slid down deeper under the water and turned away from him, no longer wanting to talk. Draco finally got up and left the room so that I could get out of the tub. At least he wasn't that much of an ass that he stayed in there with me or anything. I was a bit relieved of that fact.
great story!
keep.................................................going! ;D :D :)
That night, I went down to dinner and noticed, once again, Narsissa wasn't around. As I sat, I also noted the less than friendly attitude on the face of my supposed, future father in law. It was usually snide; much like Draco's but never this angry looking. I decided to observe the two of them for a bit. After I noticed that Lucius wasn't angry with Draco, I decided to make this dinner a bit more interesting.
"I notice Narsissa isn't dining with us this evening, Lucius, has something gone wrong?" I asked with a bit of sarcasm in my otherwise calm and lemon-sweet tone.
This got the reaction I was looking for, I may not have been able to take my anger out on Draco but as far as I was concerned, Lucius was free game. He snapped his head towards me and gave me a most evil glare.
"That is none of your concern, don't ask about it again." He said between clenched teeth.
I let a grin slide across my face, showing him that I did not, intend on letting the subject drop. He gave me a sideways glance and a sort of warning look but I didn't care, I wanted a fight, and if it couldn't come from Draco then, it would just have to be him.
"Oh, I thought we were all family here, I think I have every right to ask about my future mother-in-law. Now, what ever is wrong?" I persisted, still wearing that snide smirk that I got so often from Draco.
That's when Lucius almost made his mistake; oh how I wished he'd finished pulling that wand out. Alas, he was a bit too wise to complete his motion. So, I had to do with a battle of words instead.
"I'd keep my nosy little trap shut If I were you, Kiara, you have to sleep sometime, you know." Draco hissed at me. I laughed.
"Oh, I am ever so sorry Draco dear. Have I hit a soar spot, has mummy gone off and left the two little boys all alone?" I paused as I felt the tension rise, enjoying every bit of it. "Of course, I don't blame her if she did, living with the likes of you, Lucius, must have finally gotten to her. What with the way you think yourself higher than the rest of the world and all." I finished with a look of poison directed towards Lucius.
That earned me a slap across the face from Draco. I of course, retaliated the only way I could by flipping the table over and then smashing it against the wall. We all watched as it splintered into a thousand or more tiny pieces.
Lucius was standing and he had drawn his wand at this pint. I smiled further.
"Oh, and Draco dear, no, I don't have to sleep. I am not a lowly witch or wizard, such as you, I do not require as much rest. And Lucius, if you know what's good for you, you'd put that thing away before it lands you in a world of discomfort. I may not be able to harm Draco but you, now your another case all together." I turned my now, red eyes on him and he backed down, turning to Draco.
"Take her to her room Draco, now." Lucius growled.
Draco grabbed me rather roughly about the arm and drug me off, I was laughing the whole time. That is, until we arrive to my room. It would seem, I had made Draco even angrier than I had hoped. He was absolutely fuming. I think much angrier and he would have been foaming at the mouth.
Kiara looked around the garden and feeling satisfied that they still had plenty of daylight left, she continued.
Draco pushed me into the room and slammed the door behind us. I stumbled forward then regain my balance and turned around to face him. I had never before seen him this angry. I backed away a few steps.
"You have no idea what it is that you have dug up, Kiara. You should have shut your mouth when I told you to." He said in the same, unnervingly calm voice I often used, still do, when I am about to hurt someone, really bad.
I stepped a few more paces away from him. However, this was no good for he took a few paces forward. I was actually scared of him for the first time in my life. I had succeeded in doing the one thing I should have never done, being in my position. Stupid of me, yes, however, like I have said, over and over again, I had no control over myself at that time so I really can't blame myself for what happened.
Suddenly he lunged forward, pushing me back into he wall, slamming my head, hard into the stone. I winced and felt the blood from where I hit, beginning to run down my scalp. He had his hand around my throat and his other, was holding his wand. All this happens in one move. I had no idea, he could be so quick. He always seemed to me to be sort of a pretty-boy with no real talent, I found out differently.
"My mother is dead, Kiara, Lucius killed her, just like I said he would." He growled at me, now slamming my head back again. My vision was blurred now and my head pounding, I could feel the blood flow quicker. He then stepped back away from me, a look of total hatred in his eyes, be it for me or his father, most likely his father, it didn't matter. I was the target for his pain, no one else.
"Crucio!" He yelled.
I wouldn't have thought it possible for him to pull a curse like this off but I'd say he did a good job. It hit me with a force equal to that of the last one my father hit me with. Every second, it grew stronger, I couldn't even scream out. He was putting all his pain and anger he had been holding up, into it. Soon, if he hadn't of stopped, there would have been nothing left of me. However, he did stop and I fell into thankful darkness.
I woke up much later, I was on my bed, that I knew, my eyes still wouldn't focus and at first, I thought that Draco was sitting at the edge of my bed, I was wrong. I couldn't have been more wrong in fact.
keep....going
I could barely make out his words; I only caught parts here and there before blacking out. I woke up again, I think, several hours later and this time, I could see more clearly, although my head was pounding harder than ever. I looked to the side of my bed and saw Max, sitting there; he was holding a towel to my forehead. I tried to sit up but Max put his hand on my chest and forced me to lay still.
"You shouldn't be here." I told him weakly.
"Where do you think you are Kiara?" He asked me.
"Where am I?" I asked then, realizing for the first time, I wasn't in my room at the Malfoy Manor.
"Your at my house, I collected you as soon as I could. What happened to you?"
I closed my eyes and shudder, remembering what happened. I didn't answer him for a long time. Not until he brushed my cheek with his hand and spoke too me. I was afraid to talk, the thought of what had happened and the thought of what could happen if I told, they were all too horrifying to me at that point.
"It's ok Kiara, you don't have to go back, and you're with me, your safe now. You can be assured, I will let nothing happen to you." Max said in an almost angry tone, although it was also quite reassuring.
"Draco happened to me." I replied then.
"Oh, and just what did that little ferret do to you?" He asked, his anger showing more now.
I related the story, everything, starting from the whole ring incident to the end. By the time I had finished, I was crying and Max, although he looked like he wanted to go off and kill Draco, was holding me to him, very tightly.
Once again, Kiara stopped, looked about the garden, and then, noticing the dark shadows, creeping across the garden, stood up and bade the others to follow her into the house.
As they walked, Belgarion watched, much as Celeste had many times, the way Kiara avoided all the darkest shadows, only allowing the simple shade of a tree to touch her. He raised a questioning brow at his student. Celeste gave him a look that told him she wasn't sure. They continued to the house.
Kiara, Belgarion and Celeste were then joined by Kami, and they all went to the drawing room and sat down to some tea, which Kami had prepared, knowing that the three would be in soon.
"So, where are we at now, mother?" Kami asked, as she sipped her tea from a small, china cup.
Kiara smiled, just finishing with the last few weeks of my first summer break from Hoggwarts." Kiara replied with a somewhat darkened look about her.
"Oh, ok then, are you going to continue, or are we waiting for father to join us?" Kami asked, knowing too well that this was a part in her mother's life that often set Moloch off into a horrible mood for at least ten or more days.
"I think that we can continue with out him, for now, he's running a bit late this evening anyway." Kiara replied, knowing too, how Moloch could be.
"Well, " Kiara started, "It would seem that Max's father had pulled some strings at the Ministry, and although, there was nothing we could do against Lucius himself, he never did lay a hand on me, it would seem that our good old Minister of Magic, Cornelius Fudge, thought it best just to keep Draco away from me until school started, and that he was certain, we had just had a fight, as, Fudge put it,
"Teenagers often will, especially when fighting for the attention of their parents."
"What a jerk he was, always looking the other way, never wanting to hear anything remotely connected to Voldemort except to hear that he had been caught." Kiara paused as she took a drink of her tea.
Well, after what seemed the shortest week in History, it was once again time to go back to school. Max and I made it to Kingscross and onto Platform 9 and 3/4 then onto the train with no problems what so ever. It wasn't until just after the train pulled out of the station that Draco and his cronies showed their unpleasant faces into our compartment.
"Hello Kiara, still wasting time on this looser, I see." Came Draco's first remark. Crabbe and Goyle both laughed, of course.
I was really surprised that Max didn't kill him then and there, I really wish he would have. I could tell that this was going to be a dangerous year for the two of us, as well as for Draco. I believe that Max only kept Draco alive that year at because he was useful, from time to time, but that is later.
"Get out of my sight, Draco." Max growled. The look he gave him actually made Draco freeze for a moment and I thought that perhaps he'd actually go but, I was wrong. Draco soon regained his composure and brought forth that annoying smirk of his again.
"You just don't seem to want to face the truth, do you Max" Draco started, he said Max with such hatred in his voice that it seemed as though Max should have fallen over dead, right there on the spot. "Kiara will never be truly yours, she belongs to me, you have noticed the ring, have you not? It is to my knowledge that a woman with a man's ring upon her finger belongs solely to that man who gave it to her. Or don't you believe in such things, as uneducated as your family is?' Draco finished, then not giving Max a chance to retort, he disappeared out of the doorway.
Wow, uhm, wow. I think I'm ready to hurt Draco now....
:o :o OH!SABASTION?!WANTS TO HURT DRACO?! :o :o lol....j/k! anyway,your readers would enjoy more of your wonerful story,kiara.
(Thanks guys :))
"I should have killed him this summer, when I had the chance." Max said between gritted teeth.
"No Max, I am glad you didn't, my life would be awful if you were to be sitting in Azkaban Prison just now." I replied, laying a hand on his knee and turning a smile at him. Hoping he would drop it, at least for now.
Little did I know, Harry and Ron had gotten the news of my incident with Draco this summer. I found out however, when they poked their heads into our compartment.
"Harry!" I said with all the excitement of a girl my age. Then got up and gave him a huge hug in greeting then sat back down as I noticed the look upon Ron's face. As soon as I saw it, I knew they knew.
Suddenly questions began to fly, as we were joined by Hermione and Em'. It would seem, everyone knew. I don't know why I was so surprised by this though, they are after all, both my family and friends.
After I had related my story, they all sat back quietly for a few moments. Then, as I looked up, I noticed that Harry had a really chilling look about him, almost as Max had, the night it had happened.
"Harry, I'm not asking you to forget about this, but please, think, there really isn't much you can do about it, except for perhaps, making Draco's days at school a bit more harsh. Please, none of you, go after him or the like. I still have to go back there this summer." I told him, I told them all. It was the truth, there was no way around it, I was stuck going back to the Malfoy Manor this summer rather it was good for me or not.
"Kiara -- ok, you win, but I will be sure to make his days at Hoggwarts school the worst time of his life, I just can't believe he did this, I mean I always knew he was a jerk but this puts him to a whole new low." Harry replied with a bit of the danger gone from both his and Ron's expressions now.
"Thanks Harry, Ron." I said as I laid back to rest on Max's shoulder.
The rest of our journey to Hoggwarts was very much uneventful, as a matter of fact, I do believe I fell asleep the rest of the way.
Kiara stopped her story as Moloch sauntered into the room, his expression seemed a bit tired but he was cheerful non the less. He actually wore a smile on his otherwise serious face.
"So how's everyone tonight? Are we at school again yet?" Moloch asked.
"Just arriving there hun, glad you could make it. Kami and I were just getting ready to start dinner, how about you and Celeste get this stuff cleared up and we should have everything ready to go in about an hour." Kiara replied, standing up and walking over to him, kissing him lightly on the cheek then she and Kami disappeared into the kitchen.
LOl, oh, sorry Max, quess that'd be your job. ;)
Keep it going girl!
Ya, keep it coming hun! :-*
keep going, your doing great (like you needed to know that! :) )
PART 4
"So, have you had any thought as to your answer yet Celeste?" Moloch asked as soon as they were left alone.
"No Grandfather, I haven't an answer, there is one I wish to be true but at this time, I can not make myself believe it, it's too simple. I think I will wait for my answer, just to be sure." She smiled.
It was odd, but since her grandfather had given her the opportunity to discover his secret, she was no longer nervous around him. As a matter of fact, she considered him an adversary, in good sport, now. This was like a new toy he had brought to her, a new game and she liked it. They talked a while as they cleared the teas tray and cups from the room.
Moloch smiled when Kiara and Kami called them to dinner. Celeste and Moloch walked together into the dinning area, when they came through he door together, they received odd looks from both Kiara and Kami.
"What?" Both Celeste and Moloch said in unison. They laughed.
Kiara and Kami just shook their heads and they all sat down to dinner. For the most part, dinner went quickly, everyone wanting to get back to the story. The only conversation was about Celeste's training, Belgarion laughed slightly as he related an incident much the same as had happened to Kiara when she was training under him.
"Yes, she was stuck in the void for three hours before she was able to find her way out, at least it wasn't three days." Belgarion said, giving Kiara a wink.
"Ok, that's enough of that." Kiara said, also smiling. "well, at least she did good." Kiara finished.
Celeste looked surprised at Kiara. "You mean to tell me you were stuck in there for three days!" She said, wondering how her grandmother could have not figured it out much sooner than she had.
"Well, I do have to go to Kiara's defense on this one." Belgarion started, "You see, your grandmother had a very evil minded, adversary who stuck her there. He put her there for keeps, unlike I do to my students, he left no escape rout. There was nothing I could do to help her and it was a miracle she ever even got out at all." Belgarion said, ending the story there at a look from Kiara.
"What was his name, grandmother?" Celeste asked.
"Migan." Kiara said shortly then stood up ending the conversation. "Well, shall we go back into the drawing room, or would you all rather I just end the story for tonight?" She continued, still in that short tone, walking towards the drawing room before anyone had a chance to reply.
"Celeste looked between Moloch and Belgarion then to her mother. They all shook their heads and stood and followed Kiara into the drawing room, no one would speak of this Migan again. Celeste followed, sure that mention of this person would come up in her grandmothers story at some point, obviously he was not liked too well.
Ok, where was I?" Kiara asked as the rest sat down around the room. Her tone was once again far off, as if she were not really there. "Oh, beginning the sixth year, ok then ---"
We departed from the train, I turned as Draco called my name, just in time to see him fall from the steps and into a huge mud puddle, Ron was standing behind him looking very innocent indeed. Everyone laughed about it as we got into the coach that was to take us all to the castle.
"I can't believe you tripped him Ron." I said, trying to scold him but unable to control my laughter at the same time.
"Me? Would I do something like that on purpose? It was a complete accident." Ron said, with the straightest expression he could muster. That made Harry and Max burst out in another fit of laughter, I joined them, as did Hermione and Emily. We laughed all the way to the castle but made ourselves stop before we got out of the coach, when we did, we caught a glimpse of Draco's muddy form walking with his friends into the castle. It was difficult, but we kept our faces straight, knowing that Draco would have gone straight to Professor Snape to try and get Ron into trouble.
We were correct in our assumption, at dinner, after Professor Dumbledore had finished his usual speech, Professor Snape went over to the Gryffindor table and took Ron aside. He of course could not prove a thing so, Ron was let to return to his table. Snape looked more than a little angry, this was proof enough for me that Ron got off. I smiled over at him.
LOL, too funny. continue please.
hehe, keep going hun :-*
yes,continue...
Well, that's pretty much how the first three weeks of school went that year, Draco got it from all sides, always small things, but enough of them to make his life quite miserable and I couldn't have been more pleased about it.
Then, just before the Halloween festival, Draco struck back, in a big way. He aimed it at me specifically, and it was a good one, I must admit. He really was a little ferret.
It happened during one of our Hogsmead trips, Max and I were, well, we were just hanging out in the shrieking shack. Max and I were too preoccupied to notice him when he peered through he window so we had no idea he had ever been there, suddenly, the door flies open and in walks Snape.
"Step away from her now." Snape told Max in a commanding and triumphant tone.
We both jumped, just about out of our shoes, I'm sure. Max looked at Snape as if he were a stupid git, and Snape returned a look to him that told worlds of displeasure. The look Snape gave me, however, was one of complete hatred, I couldn't understand how a teacher could hate a student as he did me, for some reason, he always had. Sure, he hated Harry too, but the hatred filling him towards me was something more. It was the hatred I felt for my father, perhaps even stronger than that.
Snape grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the shack. His grip was iron, his fingers crushing my arm, I could feel the blood stopping at his point of contact, as if he meant to hurt me. Max began to follow then Snape jerked me around as he turned to face Max.
"If you know what's good for you boy, I'd keep away from this one. Now go, leave us." Snape said with a growl.
I gave Max a look that left no room for argument that he was to do what he was told, if Snape was letting him off then, he should get the hell out of there. Besides, with Max on the out side, I knew he'd come see me, where ever it was that Snape intended to take me.
I think Max knew what I wanted so he actually paid attention and did as I wanted and turned and left. I could see Draco smiling like he had just won a prize for most amazing ass-hole, or something. I glared at him, he winked. Then I winced as Snape pulled me away again.
We ended up in Snapes' office, he pushed me into a chair, I was happy he finally let go of me, although now, as the blood rushed back into my arm, the pain was twice as bad. I rubbed my arm then when, Snape turned his back, I healed it, with a flash of light the bruise and the welt were gone in no time. As Snape turned to be seated across from me, now sitting at his desk, he look at me as if I were indeed Voldemort himself.
He took out his wand, I flinched, he smiled, a longing sort of smile, one that made me start to gather myself against an attack, but then he moved his wand to the side of me, and said something, making a cot appear behind me, next to the rows of jars and containers of things, undesirable.
"What's --" I started but he cut me off with but a glare.
"Your staying here for the night, longer if I decide it's necessary. I will keep you away from Max if it's the last thing I do. No feast for you tonight, and don't think about leaving, I'll know if you open that door, if anyone does." He said between clenched teeth.
Then he said something that really got me, I wasn't sure what to make of it or why, he would ever say such a thing, I had, after all, never done anything terrible to him, or anyone else for that matter.
"I don't know why Professor Dumbledore keeps something like you in this school, I think he's grown soft. I'll show him though, he should realize the threat. ---" He just trailed it off there as he got up and walked to the door.
oooo, good writnig Kiara. Please, keep it up and post more soon!
*nods*do go on,your really good.
I watched him leave with out a word, wondering the whole time what he had meant by, threat and why he referred to me as a something. I shrugged it off for a moment and went to "My cot" . Laying there, I looked about the room, staring into the jars of pickled creatures and human parts and shuddered at them.
I don't know how long I had been laying there, staring at the ceiling when I heard a noise. I sat up, thinking perhaps Snape had come back to berate me more but was pleasantly surprised to see Max standing over me with a smile on his wonderful face.
"Lonely?" He asked with a smile, as he sat down next to me on the cot.
"Not anymore." I replied, letting a smile replace the down trodden look that was there before.
He didn't let me say anything further, he just started kissing me again, taking off from where we left off, I'd gather. I started giggling suddenly and he looked at me like I was nuts, a smile coming over his face now.
"What?" He asked.
"Oh, nothing, just finding it amusing that you got in here, how did you do it anyway?" I asked.
"There's a secret passage from the common room into this office, I found it a few years ago, before you came here." he replied, smiling.
Then he took up again and I don't know how long it was but suddenly the door flew open and Snape walked in on us again. The look on his face was furious. He once again walked over and wrenched me away from Max.
"OUT!" He yelled at Max.
Max left, giving me a wink.
Snape tossed me down on the cot and went to his desk and sat down.
"Looks as though I'm going to have to sit here for a while and keep an eye on you." He growled.
After some time of staring up at the ceiling, I decided to get some questions of mine answered.
"What do you have against me? I've never done anything to you." I started, still staring at the ceiling.
"Oh but you have, Dumbledore may trust you but I know our dirty little secret." Snape replied with an evil glint in his eye.
"That's what I thought, shallow as a puddle --" I trailed off, still staring at the ceiling
It took him a while to figure out I was putting him down, he paused for a bit, as my temper was once again rising.
"EXCUSE ME!" He bellowed out.
I sat up and swung my legs over the bed and looked at him.
"S.H.A.L.L.O.W! You heard me right. Shallow!" I yelled back.
Snape growled at me at this.
"Now you've got it, you know, too blind to see past your own self existence , stuck in your own world, SHALLOW!!!" I yelled at him.
"Oh! Look who's talking!" Snape growled at me again
"Oh, look who's talking he says! What have I done to make you think me shallow? I remember when I first came here, I tried to be nice to you, tried to be your friend, but you would have nothing to do with me. It has everything to do with HIM, doesn't it? Well, let me tell you something MR.. PERFECT! I am NOTHING like my father, so stop treating me as if I am LORD VOLDEMORT!" I replied.
Snape sat back in his chair, a smug, all knowing look upon his face, his tone of voice changed, "So, dear old godfather hasn't told you of your Prophecy then, has he." He replied in a triumphant tone.
"What ever are you talking about?" I asked, a little taken by surprise at this.
"Oh, I think I'm going to enjoy this." He said, handing me a small blue orb. "Take a listen to this."
Silently, I reached out and with shaking hands, opened the orb. With a flash of blinding blue light, out came a hologram of a beautiful witch, a seer, I would surmise. She started speaking, this is what she said:
There will come to pass a son, direct descendant of Salazar Slytherin, He will be known as the greatest Dark Lord to walk the planet. It will also come to pass that he will father twins, one of which can be the destruction of the Dark Lord, the other, his salvation. The female will be known from here on as the Dark Lords Shadow for she truly will be his shadow, through out her young life she will be tempted to the Dark arts with a temper uncontrollable, until she comes of age and now becomes unstoppable. Her power will be that of the Gods themselves. I pray thee who read this, please to destroy the Dark Lords Shadow before she even has the chance to walk the earth, before she becomes the love of all who meet her. You will not see the demon in her; she will blind you to this.
If the Dark Lords Shadow comes home to her rightful position at her fathers' side, the world as we so love it will be cloaked in darkness for a thousand years. There will be no hope for humanity; there will be no one to stand before her no man or no beast. All hope will be lost....
I nearly dropped the ball to the floor, I was shaken like never before, both angry at Dumbledore for not telling me sooner and even angrier at Snape for showing it to me, but at the same time, now, even I was frightened of me. I looked up at Snape as I silently closed the orb and listened as it clicked with a finality, sealing my fate inside it's tiny sphere.
*She'll become the love of all who meet her, you'll not see the demon with in her until it's too late ---" He paused and gave me an evil glance. "Your godfather was to kill you, to sweet, he said, he took you as his goddaughter, let you live, foolish, blinded old man. I will not let you win, I will not fall for your deceit, I hate every thing you are, or will become. That is why I will not let you ruin any more lives." He finished, starring at me with a burning hatred behind those coal-black eyes.
oooo...one of my favorite parts.
"Your wrong, you wrong about me --" I whispered as I lay back down on the cot and began once again staring at the ceiling. I hated this wizard more than ever at this point, he had shown me this, not to educate me but to hurt me, I knew this, he was nothing more than an evil, hateful being himself, perhaps worse off than Voldemort himself, as far as I was concerned, at any rate.
A few hours later, Snape finally left the room and Max reentered. He walked over to the bed and sat down next to me, glancing at the ball in my hand.
"What's that, is it a prophecy ball? Who's is it?" He asked.
Silently I handed him the ball, looking away and back up at the ceiling. He looked at the ball then opened it, and listened carefully. A look of shock crossed his face.
"No, it couldn't be, no way --" He trailed off as he closed the orb and handed it back to me. I took it from him, still staring at the ceiling.
"Wait! It said IF. If the Dark Lords Shadow comes home to her rightful position beside her father..." He trailed off, a look of excitement written across his handsome face. "Wait, that voice sounds too failure --" he paused, "That's my mother's voice but --" He trailed off again. "Here, listen to this" Max then pulled another orb from inside his robes and handed it to me.
"Go on, open it and listen." He said, noting the look of confusion that must have been written across my face.
I did, and here is what it told me:
Born on New Years Day, one boy shall be able to stop the dark lords shadow; his eyes will reflect a hard winter, his hair the color of coal. If the dark lords' shadow falls for the boy, the dark lord shall no longer control her; she shall have power beyond his. The Dark Lord shall never win against her.
Hope will be lost only if the boy does not return her love; the shadow will then kill the Dark Lord and the boy; if the boy returns her love; then humanity shall be spared. The Dark Lord cannot have the shadow as long as the two hold a love for each other. The most the dark lord can do is control her; never for long; only hints and fragments of the Dark Lord remain in her personality.
If the boy breaks her heart; all hope shall be lost again. The Dark Lord shall not give up hope if this does not happen. After the 16th anniversary of the Shadows birth, a duel for the Shadow shall occur between the dark lord and the boy at the place where hope is born and never lost...where fires burn and start again. This will not be the end of things; even if The Dark Lord is to loose, he still has a chance at gaining control, but a slim one...
It ended there, I closed the ball and handed it back to Max. "How long have you known about this? I mean, what does it all mean? I am 16 Max, if this is true then ---" I trailed off as Max came to the same conclusion as I.
"If this is true then, I guess I will have to fight and defeat your father." Max replied, with a confidence I have seen in him at all times.
I kissed his cheek and told him he should go then, I wasn't sure if Snape was going to come back or not, He kissed me back and reluctantly left, back through the hidden door. I lay back down on the cot and stared at the ceiling for a very long time before I finally fell asleep.
wow....continue please
keep going, your getting to my favorite part
Kiara paused her story there and looked around the room. "I think that will do for tonight, I'm tired. We'll begin again tomorrow, ok? It'll be a bit later though so we'll just start in the drawing room." She said as she stood up, everyone else, following suit.
"Good night all." Moloch said in a tired voice, what ever he did that day was obviously wearing on him and Celeste could tell. She looked carefully at him then and noticed a bruise on his cheek she hadn't noticed before, she didn't however, pry.
"Good night Grandfather, Grandma." She just said instead.
After all there good byes, Belgarion vanished from the room, followed by both Kiara and Moloch.
"Mom? Are you sure you don't know what grandma and grandpa do? Did you notice that bruise on grandpa's cheek?" Celeste asked.
"Being nosey and curious gets one into a whole lot of trouble Celeste, drop it, he probably just had a clumsy moment, that's all." Kami told her daughter. Knowing how Celeste must be dying to find her answers but trying to act the responsible one, none the less.
PART 5
The next evening, about an hour before dinner, Kiara and Moloch showed up together. Once again, Belgarion was there, he was sitting and chatting with Kami about something they stopped abruptly upon Kiara's and Moloch's entrance. Kiara raised a brow at the two of then but said nothing, knowing already to whom they were talking about.
"Getting interested are you old man?" Kiara teased.
"Well, yes, it's not often in my line that I get the opportunity to see what my former students have done, well, nothing interesting anyway and I must say, you being who you are is fascinating enough, with out knowing the tale, but to know the tale is, a wonderful prospect. Much like the tales of both my Grandfather and Aunt." Belgarion replied with a nod in her direction.
Kiara once again raised a brow; "I am honored to be placed so prominently as the Great Lady Polgara, thank you. Shall we continue?" She said with a now positively radiant smile.
"Yes, please do Kiara" Belgarion replied returning her smile.
I was let out of my prison the next morning, after breakfast, of course. Professor Snape entered the room and told me to leave his sight, I did so all to happy to be rid of the sight of him.
Max met me in the common room in the Slytherin dungeon. Wonderful guy he was, he had breakfast for me. I thanked him happily and ate.
"So, what now Kiara? Do we go to Dumbledore?" Max asked after I had finished.
"Yes, I have a few questions needing answers, like, why he didn't tell me this sooner and the like." I replied, my temper rising a bit now.
Max and I walked along the halls to my godfathers office, we had to wait outside the door, it would seem that Lucius had come to the school, probably about the rough time Draco has been having, I wasn't certain, that is until he walked out and saw me standing there next to Max.
"I would speak with you in your common room, at the end of this week, pray you come alone, with out this, this boy, in tow." He said to me, rather loftily, with the look of something smelly under his nose, then he strode off.
I raised a brow at Max but we said nothing, we had more important things to do just now.
BUMP! wow Kiara, great story!
oui..tres tres bein..........it means{yes..very very nice...or maybe u can say good}
ah,yes,she is correct. ;) continue
Max took a seat after offered by Dumbledore, I remained standing.
"I need a few answers godfather." I started, trying in vain to keep the growing anger of mine under control. "It's about this, and his too." I thrust the Prophecy Orb in his hand and Max passed his up as well.
Dumbledore looked down at them then back up to me. "Who showed this to you Kiara?" He asked.
"Snape, last night. Why didn't you tell me about this earlier? Why did I have to find out from, him?" I asked, saying him with a great distaste in my tone.
"Kiara, I am so sorry you had to hear this, I was hoping it would never fall into your hands. I didn't want you to think your fate was sealed to become the monster it foretells in this orb. I thought to keep you in the dark was to keep you safe, inside Hoggwarts." Dumbledore told me.
This only proved to add fuel to my already burning fire. "You thought wrong." I growled at him. "You have deceived me into thinking I was nothing like my father when all along, I am exactly like him, although not intentionally, I am my father, perhaps worse. How could you do such a thing?" I was pacing the floor now. Max was sitting calmly on the couch watching.
"Kiara I was only trying to protect you." Dumbledore replied feebly.
"Protecting me? What about Max, what happens to him now? What if --" I trailed off, turning on my heal and stormed out of the office.
I stormed down to the common room, pacing the floor once again, I cleared the room of all others, threatening death to those who tried to stay. I remember thinking at that point that if I couldn't find the answers here I would go to my father once again to get them, certainly he'd have what I was looking for and I knew that he'd be more than happy to have me instead of a duel with Max. A duel that he would or would not win. I was just preparing to take off when Dumbledore and Max came through the porthole.
"Kiara wait! Let me tell you everything I know, everything I can answer your questions." Dumbledore said to me in a rather pleading tone.
I obliged him and turned to him waiting for the answers I wanted.
"Kiara, the reason I kept these things from you is that Max, has been fated to deceive you, I don't know how or when but now that you know this, perhaps, when it does happen, you will at least have a heads up." He told me in a soft voice.
I turned to Max ten back to my godfather and sighed. "Ok, thank you, are there any more surprises I should know about? What about this impending duel of Max and Voldemort? Is there any way around that?" I asked.
Dumbledore shook his head sadly. "I am sorry Kiara, Max, but no, there is nothing we could ever possibly do about that one, it will happen and probably here soon. There is nothing we can do, it is as it should be." He replied.
please continue...
keep going. :)
"Ok, fine, thank you godfather, I think I need some air, I'm going for a walk." I said and wordlessly walked from the room. The last thing I caught out of the corner of my eye was Max getting up to fallow me and Dumbledore putting a hand on his chest to prohibit him, I wondered why.
The thought that Max, of all people was going to deceive me in some way was a little harder to take than I was ready to deal with I think. My mind was reeling from the realization that the one person I loved more than life it's self would do something like this. Especially now that he knew it, Dumbledore said it was inevitable. I kept running this through m head, over and over, getting more aggravated each second.
I stopped at eh edge of the Forbidden Forest, I thought I heard something. I paused to listen.
"Kiara, in here, I need to talk with you about something, hurry." The voice said.
I couldn't tell who it was, I knew it wasn't Max or Draco, I stepped into the forest, I walked for a few yards into he woods then I don't remember much after that, the next thing I know is Dumbledore is dueling with my father and Max is standing at my side.
My father wasn't paying attention to me so I easily tossed him to the wall, When Dumbledore advanced on him however, he dissaperated.
"I'm going to have to fight him sooner or later, you know that--" Max said to Dumbledore.
"NO! You can't! You saw him, Dumbledore barely kept up with him, he's stronger than ever before Max, you can't! There has to be another way!' I yelled at them both.
"Kiara -- " Max started but I had already started back to the grounds.
We headed for the castle but I turned and went to sit on a bench away from them. Max followed me, Dumbledore went back inside.
yes?continue,you should right a novel!
Bump!
you should right a novel!<--- Thanks Max. :-*
Max and I talked for quite some time about the recent events.
"All I really want is for us to have a nice quite relationship, one with out worries, with out, Draco or my father, I look around and see all these other couples walking around, clueless of what is going on, having no idea that they have what could be the murder of all of them in they're midst right now, and they are happy, happy not knowing. I just want so bad to be one of those people, clueless ---" I trailed off, as Max held me close to him.
"I know Kiara, I know." Max replied, and that was all he said.
Later that day, Max and I were out walking around the grounds again and I had him chasing me. As I ran I turned to look at him then I saw nothing.
When I came to, My father was pacing the floor in front of me.
"He'll come for me father, and when he does, you'll loose." I said in a low hiss. Knowing full well why it was he chose to kidnap me. "I'll never be the monster that Prophecy says I will I won't become you." I finished.
Voldem0rt stopped pacing then and turned to look down on me.
"You really have no choice child, even if I don't win this battle for you, your still mine, I can work on you all summer long, soon, my child, you will be known to the world as The Dark Lords Shadow. Everyone who stands in my way, our way, will be destroyed." He pause and gazed upon my bonds. "One day, you'll not need those, one day, you'll realize just who you are --- Crucio!" Was the last thing I head.
My mind was suddenly filled with visions of flames dancing around a bright figure with no real form, my body felt warm and I seemed to be drifting away towards those flames, my eyes not focusing on anything else, except for the light emanating from the figure now intruding on the plane of fire.
Suddenly, there was a darkness out of the corner of my vision, once again, no real form, just an evil darkness, I wanted to get away from it but was held there to the spot, not allowed to go either way, right between the two figures, I could see trails of light flying around the void, different colors, most of them green, came from the darker figure.
I don't know how long I was there, watching this light show but soon, I was whisked back to my body again, I tried to wake but couldn't, I slept on.
Kiara paused and looked around at her audience once again.
"Ok, who else is hungry?" She laughed. Knowing full well that dinner was usually a half hour ago.
"Ok, how about a cold dinner tonight, I want to get back to your tale as soon as possible." Celeste spoke up, not wanting her grandmother to pause it here.
They all looked at one another.
"Ok then, lets just all get to the kitchen, grab something and get our butts back in here. Sound fair?" Kami asked.
Bump!
Please continue!
continue,please.
After she had eaten and after things had settled a bit, Kiara started her story back up again, knowing her audience wanted her to continue.
I felt my body being lifted from the ground. I tried to respond, tried to wake up but it seemed, the herder I tried to wake the darker things became. It wasn't until I could feel that warmth again that I ceased fight it and give in to the sleep.
I woke several hours later in the hospital wing at the school. I opened my eyes and saw a pair of the most beautiful green eyes looking sown at me. I smiled. Those eyes belonged to my Veela friend Ellz.
"Hi." I said simply. The look of relief I received was the greatest thing in the world. She had a way of making me seem warm and safe.
"Are you ok?" She asked.
"I'm --" I trailed off, the memory of where I had been just before came rushing to my mind. "Where's Max!" I shot up, despite the pounding in my head and paid for it dearly with a dizziness I only just barely kept at bay as I turned in a panic.
My eyes fell on Max's body laying on a bed just to the right of my own, I stood and shakily went over to him. His hair was golden and there was a mark on his forehead, a phoenix, As I reach out to touch his hair, it began to change back leaving behind a small patch of gold in the midst of his otherwise black hair.
Ellz brought me a chair to sit upon, I thanked her and she left the room giving me a smile. I knew she was happy I woke up and I knew as soon as I had seen here there, she would soon depart now that she knew I would be ok.
I sat down and held his hand, tracing my fingers over the Phoenix on his forehead, I could feel a slight tingling sensation as I did this. However, soon, that too disappeared. I laid my head on his shoulder and fell back to sleep. I don't know for how log but when i did wake, I noticed Max smiling at me. I smiled back.
"Hey you." He said.
"How are you? What happened? I guess I chose to sleep through the whole thing." I replied.
Max smiled then waved his had and told me to watch.
In front of me, there appeared a tiny moving picture of what had happened at the phoenix hatching grounds, where I surmised, the duel between Max and my father took place. I watched carefully.
"So, in the end, Voldemort retreated? Interesting." I said quietly. "But what about your hair and that mark on your head Max?" I asked.
"What mark?" max asked.
I told him of the lion mark on his forehead and he sighed.
.
;) Cool stuff sis! I see you repeated it a few times but heck! At least it's there! lolz, please write more soon... :-*
lol, haahaahaa I fixed it . :-*
Cool! please continue... :)
yes, please do Kiara
continue.
"Oh, it's gone then, interesting."
"What I don't understand is, and don't get me wrong here because I am glad he did but, why is it that Godric Gryffindor helped you when you are a Slytherin?" I had asked.
Max smiled. "Well, I am much different than the other Slytherins, you have to admit. I am not as evil minded as they, I think he recognized the fact that I was fighting for the good of man and against Voldemort." He finished.
I smiled at him then laid my head back on his shoulder.
"I'm tired, how are you?" I asked again.
"Me too." Max replied, putting an arm around my shoulders.
I guess we must have fallen asleep after that. I woke up to find Madam Pomfrey tapping me on the shoulder. I sat up careful not to wake Max and smiled at her.
"Hi, thanks for not waking me earlier." I said.
"I think you can go now, Max too, when he wakes up. Professor Dumbledore says you can stay and wait for him." Pomfrey said, then she left.
I sat there holding his hand for a few minutes longer then he woke up and smiled at me.
"Pomfrey says we can go if we want to." I told him.
"Good, I want out of here." He replied.
Kiara stopped there and looked at her captive audience.
"I think it's about dinner time now. We can continue after." Kiara said, smiling at Celeste and giving Moloch a kiss on the cheek.
"Ok, mother, I think it's Celeste's turn to make dinner however, you and I have done it every night so far." Kami replied, giving Celeste a look that let no argument come forth.
"Ok, ok, but grandfather gets to help. He's not made it yet either." Celeste replied giving he grandfather a devilish look.
"Your as bad as your grandmother Celeste." Moloch said with a slight laugh. "Ok, I'll help, lets go."
Kami got up and left the room as well, she had other things to do before dinner and excused herself.
"Ok, now that I have you alone, I need to ask a question." Belgarion said.
"Ok old man, go ahead. I knew this was coming, sooner or later, ask away." Kiara replied.
Belgarion studied Kiara for a moment then frowned.
"I understand you glossed over the first years of your life. I realize it's hard to think about him but he was an important part of your first 13 years, you know. What are you going to do when it comes time for him to show up in your story again? Gloss over it the same way? It's just my opinion but, I think you should tell them about Migan." Belgarion stated.
kaeep going! ;D
Kiara fell silent for a moment then looked at Belgarion with a small glint in her eyes.
"You know about him and me, how we were, you were there. I just hate him more than even my father at times. I'll think about it." Kiara replied in such a way that Belgarion decided it best not to push any further.
PART 6
After dinner was over, they all met back in the drawing room. Kiara lit the fire to burn off some of the chill the night had brought to them. She stood in front of her family and Belgarion and looked over their faces. They all looked so safe and secure in the home Moloch built for Kami and her late husband. She smiled and sat in her spot then started her story again.
Max and I walked out of the hospital room and down the stairs towards the Slytherin common room. As we passed the stairwell to the West tower, I felt a sudden chill rush through my body. I slowed down and looked at Max, wondering if he had felt the same thing, he had not. I shuddered at the remains of the feeling then shrugged it off.
When we reached the Slytherin common room and entered through the portal, Lucius was standing there looking with a great distaste at Max and I together.
"I thought I told you to come see me alone, Kiara." He said in his lofty, holier than thou intonation.
"I do as I wish." I told him, standing my ground and holding Max's hand tighter. I could feel he wanted more than anything to hurt Lucius.
"Oh, I see. Perhaps Max should stay then, it might do him good to know where he and his family stand when it comes to the likes of you, little princes." Lucius almost growled.
I said nothing but walked to the couch and sat with Max close to me then looked up into Lucius's dead, evil eyes.
:So, what is it then,, Lucius." I growled back, making sure I did not loose eye contact with him.
Lucius stood his ground, staring into my eyes, trying to find a week spot, I am sure. I was glad Max was with me, I don't know that I could heave controlled my temper with out him. The mere sight of this man gave me a nasty taste in my mouth and set my mood to that of a raging storm. The way he manipulated the Ministry and the way he always seemed to get his way, it was all too much. Then you put on top of all that, the fact that he was the one person solely responsible for my being delivered into my father's hands and you've got enough for me to want nothing more than to see this man suffer greatly.
Bump ;)
go on..... :-*
yeah.go on.
Draco then entered the room, giving Max that same, eat sh*t and die, look he had given him on the train.
"I thought you were told to come with out him." Draco told me as if he were my boss or something.
"Now Draco, Kiara's little friend should hear what I have to say, I think it's time for him to do some growing up, wouldn't you agree." Lucius said to him in that Fatherly tone that made me want to spit on him.
Draco didn't say a word but glared at Max then sat down as well. Max smiled real friendly like to Draco then turned and kissed my cheek. That set Lucius off, he looked as though he was going to explode. His face turned stone and his hand rested now on the tip of his cane as if he were going to pull his wand. Then suddenly he smiled, if that is what you truly wanted to call it. It was an evil smile, and his eyes seemed to take on a mad mans glaze.
"Kiara, as my charge, it is up to me to determine what is best for you." Lucius started, his tone and manner seemed to take on a happiness beyond that I have ever seen in him. "That is why I have decided that staying here at Hogwarts, is no longer in you're best interest. You will start you're classes at Durmstrang right after the Christmas Holliday." He finished with a tone a finality in his voice.
oooohhhh....keep going. :o
I couldn't speak, Max tensed up, although I know now it wasn't because he wanted to kill Lucius but because he knew at that instant, he had just lost his control over my temper.
The fire in the hearth roared into life, it's flames licking the stone wall around it. The air in the room became hot, you could see sweat beginning to form on the occupants. Then, the window shattered, the glass flying out into the cold night.
"Kiara? Kiara no." Max pleaded.
I heard him but didn't respond. I stood and took a step towards Lucius. He backed away a few steps, not so stupid as to try and stand against me. Draco stepped in front if his father. I glared at him.
"Kiara, no." Max said again in a futile effort to calm me. He tried to grab my arm but couldn't get past the burning hot air surrounding me. I was out of control and unaware of who might get hurt, the only person in my vision was Lucius. I took another step forward, Draco stood his ground, knowing I couldn't hurt him.
"Back off Kiara. Don't make me hurt you again." He said, mistakenly in front of Max.
Max jumped up and intended to attack Draco but then he had no choice but to dive for cover himself as a ball of fire came shooting out of the fire place headed straight to Lucius. In a matter of a few seconds, three things happened. One, Lucius grabbed Draco and pushed him and himself out of the port hole. Two, the whole common room erupted into flames. Finally, Max jumped and grabbed me, throwing us both out the window. As we fell, Max turned himself into a phoenix and holding me in his claws he flew us to the ground.
:o go on......
