*Payne walkes in and lays on the couch**She summons up a fire ball and starts to throw it up and down waiting for someone to enter*
*He walks out of the boys dorm and sees a new face.*Hello *He said cheerfully.*
*Payne looks up*'Sup?*She gets up and holds her hand out*I'm Payne.
*Shrugs and puts hand back down**Sits back down on the couch and starts throwing a fire ball again*

Lavender entered the Slytherin Common Room, her arms held high over her head as she yawned, kicking the door shut behind her. After a moment or so, she let her arms drop, and upon opening her eyes, she came to see the new girl, throwing a fire ball upon the wall. Lavender smiled, and pulled her waist-length, silky raven hair over her shoulder, beginning to braid it as she sat, curled up in a way, upon the chair opposite the girl.
"Hello, newcomer," she said, her quiet voice melodious.
*Payne looked over at the girl* 'Sup? *She stopped throwing the fire ball and held out her hand.* I'm Payne
Lavender's multi-colored, dazzling green eyes flickered to the girl's hand, then back to her eyes, reading her, it seemed. After a moment, Lavender reached out and shook the girl's hand, though she let go, and retrieved her hand quite quickly afterward. Her lips tilted into a soft smile.
"Lavender. Welcome to Hogwarts, Payne."
*Payne started throwing her fire ball at the wall again and looked at Lavender* Thanks, nice to meet you Lavender.*She smiled* Oh, and by the way I'm not going to bite you, so you don't have to be so nervous.
She laughed softly.
"I'm rarely nervous. I'm just not too big on the touchy-feely of ways."
It was odd to explain, but she thought that was simple enough. Once she got to know this girl, certainly, she would understand better.
"And bite me? Be feared, I might bite back if you try." Lavender laughed yet again. "So, have you taken a grand tour yet?"
No. Just got here. I thought I'd try to find my way around on my own but I had to get another student to help me find the commonroom. This place is like a labryinth.
"Indeed. There will probably always be something you have not yet come across, in this dear castle."
Lavender smiled, and settled more into the chair, cupping her hands before her. Between her hands, formed a blackish orb, of some sorts. She glanced at it in a scolding way, and it turned to an icy white. She tossed it over her head, threw her raven hair over her shoulder, and put out a relaxed hand, where the orb fell, almost obediently. She tossed it above her again, and again, continuing for quite a time, in silence..
Payne's eyes followed the orb."What kind of orb is that?"She stopped her fire orb right before it reached her hand and it dissappered."I've never seen one like that before."
Lavender turned her head, her eyes thoughtful.
"A mix, I suppose. Earth, Air, Fire, Crystal, Water, Ice, Darkness. I'm not certain. My orb takes a life of its own, mostly."
She again caught her orb, and began to twirl it between her fingers, habitually.
Payne nodded and looked at the fireplace with her hand out and the flames went out"I have the power to control anything that has to do with fire."The flames shot back up again and continued to burn. Putting her hand down Payne looked at Lavender."So what side are you on. Voldy's or Potter's?"
"As Potter is my brother of sorts, I would say I am on his 'side'. However, I will never be able to measure up to what you call 'goodness'."
Lavender threw her orb into the fire pit, where it shattered, into a million peices more or less.
"Woah! Your Potter's sis. Than you probably knew a guy named Sirius Black than. huh?"Payne looked at Lavender hopefully. But her hopes immediantly died when she remembered that he was dead."I don't care or anything but it be cool if you knew him right?"Payne summoned the fire ball and started to throw it up and down looking thoughtful.
"Indeed. Yes, I knew him. Quite a few of us here knew him. He was one of the few decent persons."
Lavender smiled.
"Yeah...I never knew him but..."Payne quickly snapped out of it and put the fireball between her hands where it shined brightly. She pushed her hands together and the fireball broke and turned into flames."I doesn't matter anymore. He's dead and I shouldn't care."She smiled"But it's nice to know there are a few good people left on the planet though."
Ginny caught the last of the girls words and scowled as she plopped on a chair.
"Only a few though." She closed her eyes and rubbed her temples. She hated headaches more than anything.
"Yeah,"Payne noticed her rubbing her temples."There's a potion that can fix that.I have the same problem, I've got to take it every morning."
"Good for you." Ginny knew she sounded mean, but she also knew that no potion took care of her headachs. She wasn't a normal psychic. She said this with her eyes still closed, as the light irritated her slightly.
~If you change your mind just tell me.~Payne mentally sent to Ginny.
"OW! Do NOT do that!" Ginny sat up, snapped open her eyes and growled.
Payne jumped up and stared wide eyed at Ginny.She mumbled under her breath,"Sorry"
"Gin," Lavender said softly, so very quietly, only those with certain hearing could hear her soothing voice. She did not doubt that they could hear her. Lavender knew, as she lived, daily in a never-ceasing hell, of terrible headaches. And, she knew that Ginny experienced headaches as she did. She spoke quietly to her friend, for she knew that if Ginny was calmed, her headache could, at least, be minimized slightly.
Ginny took a breath then stood. "I'm going to the forest." She said this without looking at them before she walked out of the room and to the forest.
Payne looked over to Lavander"Do you think I should go say sorry again?"
"No. Ginny needs time alone to relax her mind. I know her, and right now, she is in a mood not to be bothered in. I will check on her later," Lavender said. She always did, check on Ginny at a later time. It was an unspoken thing, that she always checked up on her friend. "Perhaps then."
Payne nodded"I guess my headaches don't effect me as much as her's do."She shrugged,"Or maybe I'm used to it."
"Ginny's headaches affect her, because she feels things most do not. She has certain powers mentally, that make her have deeper acknowledging of all the thoughts, and feelings around her. My awareness of these sorts I have dulled to the back of my head. But Ginny, she has to be open to them, to live them. Or so I have come to understand."
Lavender sighed, and turned her eyes to the flames.
An hour or so later, Lavender tore herself from the licking, cheerful flames in the fire pit, to stand. She exited the common room, then the castle, silent as the shadow she resembled, to the forest.
Ginny laid on the forest floor in the middle of a clearing. Moonlight was beneath her head, Tika at her back, and Akron near her feet. Ginny's eyes were open, but glazed as she stared into space.
Payne watched Lavender go. Payne thought about going but than she thought that Ginny was still made at her. Shrugging she went over to the window and jumped out.
When she landed she snuck over to the forest to try and see if Ginny was still mad.
Lavender's shadowy form suddenly appeared next to Payne, and she laid a icy hand upon her shoulder, to allow her to know her presence. She half smiled, then continued toward Ginny, fining her in the clearing. Whispering a soft word, the animals there relaxed their tenseness, and she strode over, and sat beside her friend, running a pale hand over Moon's ears.
Once realising who had disturbed them, the animales relxed again and Moon lolled his tounge as Lav pet him. Tika laid her head On Ginny's back, taking care not to stick her. Akron just went back to sleep.
Payne jumped when Lavender touched her shoulder but she stayed quit. She saw Lavender go to Ginny and instead of going to she stayed in the shadows of a tree. Sitting down she listened.
Ginny blinked, becoming aware of Lav and Payne. She sat up and shook her head slightly and smiled at the animales, who looked at her.
"Welcome back."
Lavender smiled, in a way that questioned her friend, for reasons.
"I needed to resort through my visions and get rid of the old ones. Then I needed to sever all my ties with people that are either dead, or don't ever have anything interesting in their minds." She smiled, feeling much better now.
Payne looked around the tree and called,"So you're not mad at me anymore,Ginny."
"mad? I wasn't mad."
Payne stepped from behind the tree."Okay....."Payne stepped into the clearing sat down on the other side of Ginny and Lavender.
Akron stood, streaching his eight long legs and made a noise before turnning to Giny.
Akron: I must *click* go. *click* Goodnight.
GInny. :'Night Akron. Thanks. See you tomarrow.
Akron left the group and Tika stood, moved to where Akron had been and laid back down.
Ginny yawned and pat Tika's white head.
