In the middle of the forest, a white light flashed, and right after it appeared Ginny, followed by Conan. She seemed happy, a rare occurence, as did he.
"Now remember, Conan, we have to make this quick. I told Jerl we'd be back soon."
"I was going to say the same thing." He said, grinned as she let out a piercing whistle.
(this is after you left right?)
Lavy was sitting in the common room when she felt someone appered inside the forst. She closed the book she was reading and stood up. She walkd down a fight a staris and out into the day. She quickly walked over to the forest and in to investagte.
(Yup!)
Conan suddenly froze. Ginny turned and gave him a strange look.
"Did you hear something?" he asked her.
"No, I wasn't paying attention."
"You never do, do you?" Lavy said seeing the two people standing infrint of her. "Tsk, tsk. Sneaking around are we?"
Conan relaxed as he saw who it was.
Ginny laughed.
"No, if I was sneaking, you wouldn't have known me."
"Humm......intresting theory. Care to explain?" Lavy said leaning up against a tree.
"Sure, something I learned to do. I can disguise my mind, body and emotions, copying another persons. You'd think I'm that person, or animal and wouldn't have bothered to check it out." She grinned at Lavy and Conan laughed.
(LOLZ I love the LAVY SCARES ME PART LOLZ YA HEY GIN-GIN WHAT'S UP)
"No, since you've been gone I've develpoed this very bad habbit in checking the forest every time something diffent comes along."
(Lolz)
Ginny smiled gratefully as around 5 wolves appered. Conan leaned against a tree as Ginny began talking to the wolves. He didn't seem as weak as he normally did.
(I'm cravy!!!!)
Lavy watched as Ginny and the wolves talked.
Conan smirked.
"Having fun without your babysitter?" He asked in a low voice.
Lavy rolled her eyes. "No not really, no one to annoy."
"Sounds fun." He grinned.
"Conan, it isn't nice to talk about me behind my back!"
"What would make you think he's doing that?"
"Because I'm, like, 5 feet away." Ginny turned and grinned. She wasn't mad at him for it, she was just teasing him.
"Aw, leave me alone, Gin." He said, grinning back.
"Ewww...now I know what it's like when goblet and I flirt."
Dre was walking through the forest when she heard voices. Sneaking toward them, she turned into a wolf.
Instantly, the animagi wolf was crushed to the ground by one of Ginnys. It snarled and Ginny turned.
"Jerry! Off!" The wolf stepped back but growled at Dre.
"And you are?" Ginny asked, calmly.
Dre turned back into her purple headed self and stood."My name is Dre."
Ginny smiled, slightly, as did Conan.
"Ginny Weasly. Owner of this forest, since Dumbledore passed, and in charge of th animals. How you doin?" She laughed.
Conan grinned at the girl.
"Conan Sulai."
"Pleasure to meet you."Dre said as she dusted herself off.
Ginny nodded.
"Your new. I've never seen your mind before."
"Yeah,my mind is shy."Dre said rolling her eyes.
Lavy rolled her eyes al well. "No not really more like an open book."
Ginny's eyebrows raised and Conan let out a low, laughing whistle.
"I ment, I've never met you."
Dre shot Lavy a bird(ooohhh, burn) and looked at Ginny,"Yeah,I'm new. Came from Japan."
(lolz I have no idea what you mean so really it's not a burn)
"So we meet again?.." Xaver intoned, dropping from a great tree to the center of the group of people. And wolves. Facinating.
He rolled his shoulders with a casual air, playing an innocent grin.
Ginny raised her eyebrows higher.
"And you?"
(dude! are you not from america! it means flipping someone off, saying f**k you...does any of this ring a bell?)
"Hello Xaver."Dre said.
When the new guy had appeared, Conan had eyed him, suspiciously, but didn't move. he had no idea wheather this guys could do magic.
(now it dose lolz oh well I guess being in Colorado was messed with my brain)
Lavy looked up. "Hey." she said in an airy sort of way.
Ginny folded her arms, grumpily.
"I'm left outta the loop, and I was only gone a little while!"
Dre raised an eyebrow at Lavy and leaned against a random tree."Well, what are we doing out here? That should bring you back into the loop."
"I'm doing what I came to do. I should be asking you what your doing." She said, folding her arms. She didn't frown though.
"I was walking..."Dre said looking around.
"Dre, don't push her, you might regreat it."
Ginny smirked and turned to the guy.
"And what were you doing?"
(He asked me to tell you guys he wants us to wait till he gets on)
"I was telling the truth! And don't talk to me about pushing! You pushed Payne right over the edge!"Dre snapped at Lavy.
"It's not very hard to do so. And I regret very second I pushed a little more." Lavy said looking at the wolves and smiling.
"Enough." Ginny said quietly, turning to Dre. Her voice, which had been calm and light a moment ago, was now low, and ominouse sounding.
(k, now we wait, unless lavy whishs to contribute?)
Dre resisted the urge to smack Lavy around.
Lavy looked up at Dre her eyes now a dark gray. "Try it and see what happens."
"Bite me,b**ch."Dre said smirking at Lavy.
Lavy smiled. "I'd reather not but I know someone who would."
"I said enough!" Ginny yelled, sending both girls flying into trees. She glared darkly at the two and Conan snicked. She turned back to the guy.
"I have asked you a question, and now you may answer it."
Lavy stood up and rubbed her head, her eyes back to normal.
Xaver shrugged, palms up, then swooped into a low bow, in court-like seriousness, yet with the absurdity of a pranksters grace.
"Apologies, Milady."
He straightened.
"I am Xaver. And, before I decided to drop into this masquerade, I was, believe it or not, sleeping."
Xaver grinned inanely, sea blue eyes wandering from one face to another. From the male at the serious forest princess's side, to the red head herself, to Lavy, to Dre, each of the wolves, then to the fiery girl, again. She, and the male {Conan was his name?}, seemed to be the importee's of the forest. He kept her eyes with an aspect of trained respect, silent.
She nodded, not looking now glancing around. Conan offered her a small smile and she frowned at him.
"Since you are new, I doubt you have found, this is as far as you can go into the forest. These wolves, they are the Untouchables. Untoucable by magic, muggle, mental, or any other way. They cannot be harmed, so don't try anything. They are my police force, and you'd do well to be wary of them."
"Ginny, it's getting late."
"I know, Conan."
Lavy toched the back of her head and pulled her hand, which now had blood on it. "God, Ginny, you didn't have to thow me so hard."
"You'll heal fine." She snapped at Lavy, without looking at her. Conan seemed restless.
"Why the hell was I even happy to see you?" Lavy said. She turned around and started back to the school.
"Don't ask me." Ginny said, folding her arms. Conan sighed and stepped over to Ginny. Quickly, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a blue stone with chalk markings on it. Ginny's face went pale immediatly, her anger dissappering. "Get that thing away from me!" She said, her eyes wide.
"Shut up. It calms you and you know it."
Lavy turned around and lokked at the stone sideways.
Ginny looked as though she wanted to smack the stone away from Conan, but couldn't bare to touch it.
"Get away from me with that!"
"Oh, just shut up." Conan said, now bored.
"What is that?" Lavy said walking over to Conan.
"A power stone. The only one that can take away Ginny's special powers. If you use this near her, take away her wand and immobilize her, she's compleatly useless." Conan said, now slipping it back into his pocket.
Ginny's color came back and she hit him in the arm.
Lavy shrugged. "Cool."
"No, not cool. That's how I die, and he's telling the whole world." Ginny said, seething. She couldn't do anything though, since the effects of the power stone hadn't worn off yet.
"Nice Conan." Lavy said sacractilly.
(lets wait)
Ginny went to hit Conan, but surprisingly, he caught her fist. The shoked look on Ginny's face was obviosue.
(ok)
Lavy looked at Conan also a little taken aback. "Humm......." she finly said. "Maybe that stone was not the best idea to use at the moment."
Ginny's gaze was fixed where Conan held her fist still.
"Come on Ginny, you didn't think you were pysichlly stronger then me, did you?"
(last post I swear)
"He's got a point."
Xaver frowned slightly, in a confused way, before shrugging lightly.
"This place here?" he questioned. "Odd.. I have already roamed all about this forest with no trouble, or attention from these Untouchables."
He reached out and stroked the long, great snout of one of the wolves, scratching softly, absently. The animal was hesitant at first, but eventually butted his head into his hand, toungue lolling in that wolvish way.
"I would never try to harm them, Milady. My word."
Xaver smiled a bit, and shrugged.
"I will be wary and attentive to your suggestions, however."
Giny looked up from her fist, and took a breath, composing herself. She nodded at Xaver, letting her fist drop.
"And have you actually stepped upon the ground?" She asked. Moonlight, the largest, and obviously the leader gave Ginny a look.
Dre blinked a few times. She looked at everyone with a bit of a clueless look and said,"Well,he'd have to touch the ground...unless he can fly..."She had a thoughful look on her face.
But of course that could be how he is different...weird...The young woman thought rubbing the bridge of her nose absent mindedly.
Xaver glanced at Dre, then focused his gaze back to Ginny.
"Yes, Milady. I was walking most the entire time."
He said nothing of flying. He knew little of these people, and how well they received different others. Might as well just keep the personal stuff to himself. He had no intention of coming off fouly with them. That, would just prove his father correct. And if Xaver hated anything, it was his fathers satisfaction.
Dre knew something was off but decided not to pry since she liked to keep privacy herself,"Well than. If I have nothing else to do here I will be off." She started walking out of the woods.
Moonlight let out a bark, and one of the wolves set off after Dre, becoming an escort.
Ginny stared at Xaver, but said nothing for a few moments. Before Conan had taken out the stone, she had sweeped through all of their minds, and had found quiet alot in those few seconds.
"They it seems that they were not doing their job. Moon! Find out who was on patrol, and demote them." Ginny said absently. She sighed.
Dre eyed the wolf wearaly(sp?) and bent down beside it. She looked it in the eyes and told it to go back, she didn't need to be escorted.Smiling, she got up and ran toward the end of the woods.
The wolf followed her. After all, he had been ordered to escort her. As long as he was with her, while she was still inside the forest, neither could get into trouble.
Dre didn't notice when the wolf continued to follow her. She continued to run until something swooped down from the trees and picked her up,pulling her into the branches.
The wolf sat still a moment, then lept into a tree. The Untouchables were trained for any cercimstance, and this was an easy on. Lightly, the wolf ran along the tree tops.
The thing in the trees dragged Dre along the trees until she brought out a dagger and stabbed it into the talons of the 'thing'. Shrieking,it dropped her, sending her plumeting to the ground.
She quickly turned into a small chinese-like dragon and landed on the ground.
The thing flew away.
(a dragon is her animagus)
The wolf jumped down and sat, watching the dragon.
"Well, the thought counts...I guess..."Dre mumbled at the wolf after she had turned to her normal form. Getting up,she pulled twigs and leaves out of her purple hair and started walking back towards everyone. She figured that the thing won't attack a large group of people...she hoped...
The wolf trotted after her.
~What could I have done?~ Asked the wolf in Dre's mind.
~Nothing,I just have low self-esteem so it helps to blame other people...or animals.~
Dre stumbled into the clearing with all the other peeps.
~Thank you anyway~
The wolf let out a sort of grunt and went back to ranks.
Ginny was now drawing on the ground with a stick, and Conan was rearranging the pack he carried with him.
Dre looked at Ginny,"Are harpys common around here?"
"Sometimes, but they normally see no reason to head this way." She finished her drawing and stared at it for a moment, then turned to Conan.
"What time did we come from?"
"Uh, I think it was....1245. Around there." He said, shrugging and finishing what he was doing.
"Okay, than I have no reason to worry."Dre rolled her eyes and sat next to a tree, leaning on it she proceeded to wrap torn cloth around her wounds.
Ginny shrugged.
"Guess not. Conan, tell me if you think this looks right." She said. He stood and went over, looking at the drawing.
"Shouldn't that part be over there?" He asked, pointing.
"Thanks." Ginny knelt down and redid that part. Conan nodded in satisfaction and sat down, against a tree. Ginny stood and turned to Dre, reaching into her pouch that was at her waist. She pulled out two marbel sized water orbs.
"Here. You ever need help, smash this." She held one out to Dre.
Taking it in her hand, she looked at it sideways."Ummmmm...what does this do?"
"It tells me that someone needs my help." Ginny explained, turning to Xaver now. She held the other orb out.
"You take one as well."
Dre placed the orb in her bag and mumbled a thanks. Her head fell back and she closed her eyes.
Xavers smile vanished. He had not meant for Ginny to take his easy passage into her lands as offending, or deceiving or disrespectful. Her quick demotion of her {soldiers, maybe?} wolf had rocked him a bit. He hadn't been expecting that. His want to cause little trouble was out. Dammit. He sighed, and shrugged, unable to successfully word anything.
Rule of the court, of his father, had beaten into his spine the more-over silence at his end of the conversation.
At Ginny's offering, Xaver again, was surprised. Ginny was a very interesting character.
"Thank you," he stated quietly, accepting the orb, and pocketing it.
As his hand withdrew from his pocket, instead of dropping, it extended toward Ginny once again, as if for a handshake. But no. His middle and forefinger were gently rimming, firmly holding an oval stone of luminescent blue hues. The stone was obvious in its self, of being not at all, human made, or knowing human principle. Within the stone, a deep, swirling pool of opals swam, an obsidian colored, tiny feather in the center, untouched by the liquids revolving about its little bubble. The feather, matched in exact to Xavers dark hair.
"Here," he said absently. "Please, take it. With the same principles."
Dre looked at the stone that Xaver gave Ginny. It seemed oddly familier but..."Hey,Xaver? What is that?"
Lavy looked up from what she had been doing in the forest floor and stared at the feather.
Giny smiled slightly, staring at the stone. She took it and turned it around in her hand. She looked up and smiled at Xaver.
"Thank you. I doubt I'll have to use it often, but nontheless." She handed it to Conan, who put it inside the pack, securly. They both smiled at Xaver.
"I thought not. But you never know. Best to have the link before converse. Anyway, like I said earlier, with the same principals."
Xaver inclined his head toward Ginny, then acknowledged Bre.
"My father created that kind of stone during his... time. A way of linking beings. He could never keep up with me..."
A brisk annoyance at his fathers name sparked in his dark eyes. Just as he had avoided speaking of his fathers "time". Xavers father had been the Lord of Xavers clan of Fallen, and his ruling was of the heaviest and annoying things weighing his thoughts.
"Learning some smoother ways of escaping detention has been on my mind as of late.. Might you be the right crowd?"
Xaver beamed.
Ginny laughed.
"Man, I havn't been in school for a while." She smiled.
"But I'll let you in on a little secret. Teachers almost always forget they have a student who's supposed to have detention, so they write it down on the calander in the teachers lounge. You earse that, and you'r fine." She smirked, folding her arms.
Dre smiled and shook her head. She remained silent for she had no comment but looked at everyone. As her cold grey eyes swept over the motley crew, her grin widened. She had never ran into to so many different people that when she looked upon them she felt she should rub her eyes to make sure it was real.
"Heh, perhaps, you red headed demon. But the teacher is apt not to forget. Odd, she had an immediate distaste for me. Though I am undoubtedly used to that, the professor seems to enjoy immediate distaste of my kin-- me."
Xaver frowned slightly, though he let out a simple laugh.
"The calender... I will have to look into that."
He turned, facing Bre with his deep sea blue eyes as she scanned him over. He chuckled softly, grinning inanely. Different peoples. Yes, that was certain.
Dre stood."I'm going. See you guys later."She turned into a wolf and ran off toward the entrance of the woods.
Narakis began to follow her but Ginny shook her head at him. He sat back down and she smiled once again.
"Well, we have some people depending on us to come back." She said.
Conan smirked at them.
"Then you should return to them, Milady."
Xaver smiled.
"And as I have affairs of my own, I must bid you all good time and fortune."
He swept into a low bow, and simply vanished.
Ginny smiled after him and opeaned the portal. Conan stepped in before her. Ginny smiled at Lavy.
"Keep up the good work." She grinned and stepped into the portal.
"I will." Lavy said smiling at the spot where Ginny just was.
