Casan sat infront of the fireplace. A book of potions lay infront of her. Sighing, she flipped a page of the god-forsaken book and continued reading the text. She grabbed her gun when she heard a noise from behind her.
Lavy had just appered in the middle of the common room and was about to head downstaris when she noticed Casan sitting by the fireplace.
Casan looked up and said,"Hey...haven't I met you before?"
"Yes, but only once. And I never told you my name. It's Lavy Brown." Lavy said walking over to Casan,
"Nice to meet you, again. I'm Casan Vere."She shut the potions book.
"I know." Lavy said sitting down.
"Are you a psychic too?"
Lavy smiled. "Yes, along with many many other things."
"Hmmmmmm...Maybe you are one of the chosen ones...Whatever..."Casan said wiping dirt off her pants.
Lavy shruged. "Well if I'm not, I could still tach anyone something new."
"......"Casan thought for a second."Maybe..."A ring came from her bag. She dived to the bag and pulled out a cellphone. A voice erupted from it,"Casan? You O.K.? What time are you in?"
"I didn't know they still had cellphones in your time. Intresting. Who are you talking too?"
"We don't have cellphones, but the connection sucks a** being so far away.Here."Casan showed Lavy a black chip.
"Who are you talking to?"
"Lavy Brown."
"Okay...Have you found one of them?"
"Maybe..."
"Well, hurry up. Aurick has set siege to JuaKita."Casan shut the cell and sighed."When you think you can teach me?"
"I'm not doing anything at the moment."
"Cool."She shoved the cell and chip back into her bag.
"What is it you want to learn?"
"Anything that will help me to defeat Aurick."
"Well let's first start at the beginng. Who is Aurick and why do you need to defeat him?"
"Aurick is the ruler of Earth in the year 3000. I need to defeat him because he was the cause of Genocide against witches and wizards. I'm part of the Anarchy, which is only one part of the Resistence."
Lavy smiled. "Then you have come to the right place. I have many powers that on;y a few know about and I dout that anyoneform your time knows about them either."
"True,I was lucky that I wasn't killed during the Raid on Zharia, the future America."Casan sat up strait,"What does thy honerable and humble teacher wish to teach thy honerable and humble student?"
~~Cell phones? What are cell phones, anyway?...~~ Lavender's mental tones harmonized across the common room, delicate, but brisk, curious, as the minute form of a black kitten dropped from the rafters above, to a fluffy, down pillow upon an empty chair, with a muffled plop.
The kitten materialized into Lavender's human form, her pale being dressed in black and white checkered sleeping shorts, and a black sweater. Simple, casual, relaxed. Almost.
Casan looked at her,"A device used to communicate with others."She stood,"Hi,I'm Casan Vere."
"Hello, Lavender." Lavy said standing up.
"That whole animagus thing was cool. Need to learn that too."Casan said, making a mental check.
"What else?"
"Some spells, fighting moves. Those sorta things."
"Spells, ah. Well 'm very good at spells. And considering my history I'm should be pretty destint when it comes to hand to hand combate. That me think...oh, yes. I know. The forst thing you should learn is the four elemants. Earth, fire, wind, and water."
"Okay then."She saluted
The pale beauty inclined her head, and rose from the chair, scanning the unfamiliar girl from foot to topmost hair.
"Greetings, Casan. I am Lavender Potter."
She watched the girl curiously, then turned gaze to Lavy.
"But what of the other elements, Lavy?"
"The basic is all she needs to know at the moment, Lavender."
"Ay, perhaps, but one would be wise to have brief knowledge of all the other elements. All is round and meeting at each end."
Lavender smiled slightly, and ran a finger over a slight gash across her knuckles.
"Wow,you remind me of Admiral Motha."Casan said, scratching her head.
"Well, Lavender, you know more on the subject then I, maybe you should tell her." Lavy said smiling back.
The flicker of a ghost of a smile swept briefly across her smooth lips, as she inclined her head once more, then snapping her fingers, her pajamas replaced instantly with straight, loose, but hugging black jeans that held to her constantly moving, agile form, a simple black tank top, and thick, leathery boots; her raven hair, she pulled into a tight pony and out of her line of vision, many shaded, moody green eyes revealed as cold, detached. In greater view now, and no longer under protection of the silken veil of raven tresses, small cuts, here and there, became slightly more noticeable. For instance, a line of deep red, cross her left cheekbone, and a deep, healing wound, extending from her collar, down beneath where ones eyes were restricted from viewing. Lavender was a being that was constant in line of trouble. Nearly all the time, she never asked for it. It merely found her a great associate.
"Ay, teachers should not portray direct answers, but harbor them. The pupil must learn for themselves to understand in their own way, what it is that they strive to know. I cannot teach my own ways. They would suit no other, pray example. Why is it, you, Casan, wish to know such things?"
Lavy shook her head, but smilied in spite of herself. "Still the same old Lavender. But, oh, so true."
"To defeat a great evil that is killing and slaving my people."Casan's face had turned serious.
"The classic bad guy. Well let us get started." Lavy turned around to Casan and raised her hand. Slowly, but surly a small blue orb started to form. "Do you know what this is Casan?"
"Water orb? I've read about the orb but could never summon one myself."
"Very good. This along with fire where the one' I personaly had the most truble with." The orb started to grow and take the shape of a rabbit. "Start small, then as you learn to control the element more..it becomes user to shape."
Casan raised her hand and closed her eyes. A little marble started to form, slowly growing bowling ball sized. She opened her eyes and smiled. Than the orb exploded, leaving her drenched.
(be back later)
{{Rarr! My comp just froze on me, lolz :P }}
"I have known many a great evils. Killing and enslaving, tragic as such is, is never something one deems to do by her lonesome. Though, many a time, events happen that way anywhom. I have seen and have heard of and have participated in a great many things, of a great many things, and slavery is something, I have never been known to withstand."
Lavender spoke quietly, her exterior being calm, collected, even as within, she sighed, so very heavily.
"Lavy will teach you a great many things. I will attempt to teach you a few. There are some that I will restrain from, know this, for I will not be responsible for another under eighteens death. At least," said she, turning to the fire, an orb suddenly called to the palm of her hand, "not this week."
Lavender tossed the fireball up into the very topmost rafters, eyes locked upon Casan's, and caught it effortlessly, sighing quietly, her emotions, thoughts, under lock and key. She waved her hand in the new student's direction, and Casan was instantly, dried.
(ok)
Lavy laughed. "Very good. I perposly didn't tell you the fact that it is all about control. I wanted to see if you would already know. And you did very good." The rabbit started to grow and soon it had formed into a full grown dragon that nearly toched the celing. The clear blue color of the dragon almost comletly mached Lavy's eyes.
"Anyone who can control any one of the elements has a color to go with the element. Seeings how, one the grand sclae of things water apperes blue the element water is blue. But there are millons of shades of blue, and because of that everyone has a different shade of blue when they use the element water. Mine, just so happenes to be the same color as my eyes. This 'rule' applesy to three of the elementsFire is red, water is blue and earth can be brown or green. Wind one the other had has no color. It has a smell."
(lol I totly made all of this up off the top of my head)
Casan nodded and attempted the water orb again. This time it did not explode, instead it turned into a puppy."Cute..."She said, looking at the puppy.
Lavy nodded. "Nice." The dragon disappered.
The puppy dissolved and Casan did a spell to make the water dissappear."What's next?"
"Fire. The most diffecult of the four. Took me 3 years to learn it, and unforeualy for us, you don't have nearly that much time."
"Right,I will dedicate myself to learning it."Casan closed her eyes again and focused on bringing the fire to life. After five minutes she opened her eyes."Ummm...why don't we move on to a different one? I didn't think it was this hard."
Lavy nodded. "Very, well, as you wish." Lavy once again raised her and and all of the winds burst open wind streaming in blowing out iff of the light. "Wind!" Lavy yelled over it. "The easiest in my opinon because it is always around you!" The wind dead down. "Go ahead you try."
Casan concentrated on the wind and an orb immediantly came to her hand. She broke it in half and a small tornado started around her."Cool..."
"Very, see if you can make it lager."
Casan closed her eyes and the tornado got larger. It soon engulfed the room and you couldn't hear anything except howling winds.
Lavy snapped her fingers and the tornado disappered. "Fantatic. Now for the last one earth. This one can be done on many ways. Earthquacks, is one. Then of , corse there is just moving dirst around." A pile of dirt came flying in thought one of the opend winds and lanned infornt of Lavy.
"Man, I'm all about earth."Casan lifted the dirt without even closing her eyes. She smiled and spelled 'Casandrias' on the floor.
(Casandrias is her real name if that one got lost to you :P)
"Magnificant you've learnd all the elements in the space of an hour. If you keep this up no one form your time will have a chance up against you. Now, to your defence. Force felids are the easiest way to protect yourself against anything."
"Yeah, but in the future we have force field shields that cover youe whole body."
"We have force felds that con protect both ypurself and anything around you. Observe." Suddenly out of no where fire ingulfed Lavy so that she disapered inside of it. A few seconds later, the fire went out. "Now see the space a few feet from me. Completly black. But only a foot infront of me it has not been set ablaze and all. In fact it's very cool."
"I learn it, just for the sake of coolness. But how do you do it?"
"Most of the time I would put a force feild around just my body. But for the sake of proving my point I pushed it out from my body and covered part of the floor as well."
"You would make a perfect Senetor."Casan said,addressing Lavy's vagueness.
"Well I make the perfect Quen of Chaos, Light and being the Empress of the NSA. Why not a Senetor as well." Lavy said with a smile.
"Hmmm..."Casan seemed lost in her thoughts for a second but quickly snapped out of it."Right."
"What are you thinking about?"
"Nothing, just something from the future."She massaged her temple,"Um...why don't we continue this tommorrow? I'm tired."
"As you wish."
Casan nodded and walked up the stairs. Halfway up she stopped and whispered in a hoarse voice,"Thanks." She walked into the dormitory.
Lavy nodded and sat back down, playing with the fire in the fireplace.
_________the next day________
Casan ran down the stairs. She was late for Potions and had a test.
"Where are you going in such a hurry?"
"Potions. Snape is going to kill me."She jumped over the couch and grabbed her stuff. Pulling her cloak on, she slowed down for a second."Is it too late to get breakfast?"
Lavy laughed. "Oh, don't worry about Snape, come with me." Lavy stood up and started out of the common room.
Casan shrugged and followed.
"So, how'd you sleep last night?" she said walking down a hallway.
"Good. Those beds are confertable. Way better than the ones in Atrisia."
"Good to hear. I wouldn't know how they feel when trying to sleep."
"Hm."Casan looked down the stairs and said,"How far do we have to walk?"
Lavy gigled. "Fine, fine." Lavy grabed her arm and the next moment they we're standing infront of the Great Hall. "I don't sleep." Lavy said pushing the doors open and walkin in.
"Why?"Casan said, sitting at the Gryffindor table.
"It's a long story but it all started after my parents were killed."
"Sorry."Casan said looking sympethetic.
"Don't be, I was my fault and no one else's. But anyways, what happened to me after they died is why I do not sleep. I can go into vauge details if you like." Lavy said sitting down as well.
"How about tonight? Right now I've got to go."Casan grabbed a piece of toast and ran to Snape's class.
Lavy shrugged. "Ok."
$$$$$$later$$$$$$$$
Casan came into the Great Hall at lunchtime. She sat down and put her head on the table.
"Is someting wrong?" Lavy said appereing infront of her.
"Future stuff..."
"Vagness.... ok have it your way."
"I told you. I'm a politician. I have to be vague."
"Ha. Not really." Ginny said, walking past them. She stopped a teacher, telling them something. After a moment, she walked away and sat down as well.
"Yes, yes, yes whatever you say. But with me where simply is no need or benifit to be vague."
"Lavy, you should practice what you preach."Casan said getting her ringing phone out of her bag.
"Lavy sometimes thinks she should know everyone's bussiness." Ginny said, grabbing a cup of milk.
"Oh, but there is a binifit when I am vague." Lavy said shruging. "And I've givin up on knowing everyones bussiness, Ginny. That;s just pointless."
"About time!" Ginny said, suddenly laughing.
Casan snorted and hung up on the person talking on the phone.
"How'd you get that to work on the grounds?" Ginny asked, pointing at the phone. She knew how she ot sruff to work, but not everyone used her way.
"Yes, yes it is. Oh, well that's one part of me you'll never have to deal with again, unless it's a life or death situatuion."
"Future technology can bypass magick. Aurick wanted an easy way to kill wizards."
"Hmm, not bad handiwork." Ginny said, grinning.
"Sweet."
"Yep."The phone rang again and Casan answered,"Casan."
"DON'T HANG UP ON ME AGAIN!!!!"And with that,Casan hung up.
Lavy laughed. "What's with all the calls?"
"Eric wants me too come back for...diplomatic reasons."
"Can I talk to him?" Ginny asked, her eyes sparkling mischiviously.
"Why not. He should be calling right about..."The phone rang,"Now."
Ginny reached over, and answeared the phone. In a smooth proffessional sounding voice she said, "Hello, Casan's answearing service. How may I help you?"
"What the...Casan doesn't have an answering service...Who is this?
"I'm sorry sir, if I told you that, I'd have to kill you." Ginny said, her voice still false and steady. It was compleatly monotone.
Lavy laughed alittle bit and then covered her mouth.
"Well, than tell my dear Casan that JuaKita is being rebuilt in her honor."
"Will do sir. Have a nice day." Ginny grinned at them then turned off the phone.
"JuaKita is being rebuilt in your honor."
Casan's eyes grew wide and she dived for the phone. She quickly pressed a button and said,"Your kidding!"The next few sentances ranged from frenzied talk off the new JuaKita and the new Temple being built.
"Now explain to us one last time who JuaKita is."
Ginny laughed so hrad she fell off her stool. She sat on the floor of the Hall, laughing. Some kids laughed nervously, since they knew her to have an awful temper.
"Oh my God, Casan! You'r so funny to watch!"
Casan hung up the phone and turned to Lavy,"JuaKita is my birthplace and the heart of the Anarchy Empire. And you are one to talk."She said the last part to Ginny.
"As are you Ginny." Lavy sadi looking around them at the kids and grinning.
Ginny stuck her tounge out and jumped up.
"Awwe, min your own bussiness you big noses!" She said to the kids. Laughing, she sat down.
Casan hugged Ginny and Lavy. She felt very good and the war slipped from her mind.
Ginny smiled at the girl. She knew Casan had lots of worries on her mind.
Getting up, Casan said,"Hey,I've got to go to DADA. I'll see you guys later."And with that, she left.
"Oh yeah." Ginny stood.
"That goes for the rest of you kids. Get to class, and stop skipping to hang out in the forest!" She yelled at them.
"Thoses wolves can be nasty." Lavy said smiling looking at the kids faces.
At the combined attacks of Lavy and Ginny the students hurried from the hall. Ginny sat back down.
"That's always fun to do."
"Always. That goes for you too, you don't have permission to skip classes, and your failing one of them." Ginny said, rasing an eyebrow at Lavy.
"Big, deal, I'm failing Postions. Oh.... wow. Even if I did go to class I would fail. Snape hates me with a passion."
"Go. If you fail one class, you don't graduate." Ginny said.
"Have you forgotten the fact that I don't really care."
"Have you forgotton the fact that you'll need to graduate to teach?" Ginny said, smiling slightly.
"Don't worry about ol' Snape. He's busy today, they have a substitue."
Lavy shrugged. "I becoam a teaher anyways, so failing Spanes class means nothing to me."
"Do it Lavy. I get yelled at when you don't, you know." She said, rubbing her forhead.
"SO do I." Lavy said simply
"Lucky you, but I already have McGonaglle at my throat cause I don't attend classes. Go on. You can miss the rest of them."
"I like the rest of them. Just not that one."
"Just go. You'll get ten points if you go today, and that's all you need to be able to take the final tests."
"I'll make you a deal. I go to class and you come with me."
"Fine, though fourth year potions is easy." Ginny stood again, walking from the hall.
"That's what I said, and one of the resons I don't go anymore."
"Except I took sixth year potions, Lavy, when I stopped classes." Ginny walked to the dungones, opeaning the door of the potions class, already in session.
"Hiya Snape, miss me?" She asked, taking a seat.
Lavy rolled her eyes and sat down next to Ginny. "I dout he did Ginny." she said under hear breath.
"Miss Weasly." He sneered, then looked at Lavy. "Miss Brown, your late. Five points from your house."
Ginny smirked.
"Now now, Severus, I can't beleive your here. I thought you were busy today."
"Oh, I thought he was kissing Vodemorts feet, like a good little pet." Lavy said with a shrug.
"Ten points, Miss Brown!" he said. he couldn't really punish Ginny, since she only lived at the school, and was techinally no longer a student.
"Calm down, Proffeser. I think you have a class to teach."
"Snape, you make it sound as if I care about point. You know we always make them up during games."
Snape opeaned his mouth again, but decided against it, and began teaching his class.
Ginny sat back in her chair, grinning.
~Boring~ Lavy sadi placing her head on the desk. ~I learnd this crap when I was 7.~
~But if your here today, you pass.~ Ginny said, not watching Snape, but rather the students.
~You know what the amazing thing is about it all? I use to care abot all this stuff, about getting good greads and things like that. But now.....~
~That means your getting older, Lavy. I used to care, but now, I don't have the time. I'm no longer a student, so it dosn't matter.~ Ginny said.
~But the real question is.. What dose matter~
~It dosn't matter what matters.~ Ginny thought, sighing.
~Well if nothing matters why are we here?~
~Because I said so.~ Ginny said, glancing at her watch. Since they had been so late, class was nearing an end.
~Oh whatever, Ginny shut up~
"Adjitated?" Ginny asked aloud as the bell rang.
Lavy stood up adn left, ignoring Ginny. "That was a totle waste of like twenty miniutes Ginny."
"Oh well." Ginny said, shrugging.
Lavy nodded and started dwon the hall.
and dwon dwon dwon the hall she went

Ginny shrugged again, walking wherever, she didn't care.
"Life, bits."

Ginny nodded.
