Lavy sat down infront of the fire. It was starting to get cold outside no that it was fall. Lavy wrapped her bloody hands in some cloth and then put them in her cloak pockets. Since her healing powers wheren't working right at the moment this was all she could do to stop the flow of blood. Every once and a while her hands burned. Lavy tried to ignor it untill someone came in. Before Lavy even turned she made sure that her hands where in her pockets.
Ginny leaned in the doorway, watching with slight intrest. She hadn't been gone that long, just maybe a month or so. But since she had studied Lavy's mind for so long, she knew when Lavy was hurt.
"Oh, hi Ginny." Lavy said with a smile.
"You'r a real geniuse Lavy." Ginny said, rolling her eyes. She raised an eyebrow.
"Well thanks.....but.... ummm....." Lavy stumbled to find the right words to say. "What's you doing here?"
"Heh." She said, a trace of humor in her slight noise. She shook her head, and strideed across the room. Without pausing, she grabbed Lavy's arms, yanking her hands into view. She raised an eyebrow again, as if to say 'you think you can keep secrets?'
Lavy winced when Ginny grabed her arms. "Hey!" she said pulling her hands back out of view. "What's going on with you today?"
"You don't want to know." Ginny snarled, folding her arms.
"I guess I don't." Lavy said wincing again from the pain that shot down her arms to her hands. "So.....what's with you grabing me all of a sudden."
"Your hands, you git. I know your healing power isn't working, and your trying to hide them from me."
"I like your thinking Ginny." Lavy stood up and walked past Ginny. "But what in gods green earth wou;d give you that idea?"
"Nice try Lavy, but I saw you stuff your hands into your pockets, making sure they were hiden before you checked to see who it was. Your breathing sped up, your pulse spiked, and your thoughts went off radar." She folded her arms, scowling.
"Why is that any of your bunisses."
"It is when your mind is screaming for help, but your pride is getting in the way. You forget, I'm in charge of Student Affairs, which means I also have to make sure all injuries are reported weekly." Ginny said, scowling still.
Lavy winced again. "I'm fine Ginny, there's nothing to report."
"Yes, you are a student, there is something to report. I'm supposed to investigate, but I don't do that part. I do report the injury though, and I'm not losing my job because your being childish."
"Then tell me Ginny, what would you put in your little report, 'Unknown injury to something on the body' Yeah that will go down well."
""No, for yours I would put, 'injury to hands. Cause unknown.' Don't mess with me today. I don't like my job, but I need it."
"I'm not messing with you. Your the one messing with me."
"I'm not the one refusing help because my ego is hurt." Ginny snapped.
"You never really offered help now did you, so how can a rufuse it."
Ginny rolled her eyes again, and again, walked over, snatching up Lavy's hands.
"First I need to know, did they get burned, smashed, vut up, or what?" She asked, inspecting them.
Lavy didn't pulled her hands away from Ginny this time. "Long story short: All of the above. And then some."
"All right, put them on the table, palms up." Ginny said, letting go. She reached into the bag at her waist, pulling out some sauve and bandage wraps.
"I dout that will work."
"JKust do as I say." Ginny snapped, still digging through her bag.
Lavy shruged and sat down at the table. She placed her hand on the table palms up.
"This might burn." Ginny said, taking out a bottle with a small green label. She opeaned the bottle, dumping it's whitish liquid onto Lavy's hands. All though the blood and pus dissappeared, this was with a price to Lavy, making the cuts burn twice as much.
Lavy puled her hands off the table. "Yeah, just a bit." she said sarcaticly. "Jezz Ginny what is that crap!?"
"Put your hands back on the table, or I'll make them hurt some more." Ginny said, capping the bottle. She set it on the table, taking out her rarley used wand.
Lavy slowly put her hands back on the desk, glancing at Ginny's wand.
Ginny tapped Lavy's hands with her wand, once. Some of the pain dissappeared, but not all of it. She set down her wand, and began wrapping Lavy's hands up with the bandages.
"Go ahead."
Ginny shot a look at Lavy and finished the bandageing with a snap.
"You can take those off in 30 min. Your hands should be almost healed then."
Lavy rolled her eyes. "Ginny just ask me to tell you what happened and I'll tell you. I know you want to know."
"No, if I really wanted to know that bad, Lavy, I'd just look into your mind."
"I'm sure you could." Lavy said sarcaticly. She stood up.
Ginny shrugged, packing her stuff back into her puch. She had to open it wide, but nothing but oure black could be seen of the inside.
"So what have you been up to?"
"Kicking butt." She said, monotone.
"Who's?"
"Pick someone in Histpry who has dissappeard mysteriously, and assumed dead." She said.
"Elvis."
"That's one. His live concerts? Subliminal messages telling his listners to start drugs and eventually kill each other."
"Yes, yes he did. So why where you kicking Elvis's butt?"
"Cause it was his idea. The stupid idiot." She said. She grinned.
"Also, Hitler. No one ever found his body. Know why?"
"You did something with it."
"First we messed with his already screwed up mind. Convinced him the reason he was killing so many people was becuase he was afraid that they loved him, and he couldn't deal with love. We had him crying, it was funny." Ginny said, sadisticly. She had actually enjoyed killing some of these people.
Lavy nodded. "Intresting."
"Conan broke down once though. He couldn't understand what we were doing, or why. He started screaming, crying, worse then that evil woman." Ginny spat.
"What evil woman?"
"Who is the most memorable Queen of Egypt?" Ginny asked, watching Lavy.
"Well I guess the answer that most people would give would be Miss Cleo herself."
"Yes. She was a witch, a pretty good one too. Too bad she was using her powers to kill people for no reason. I had to stick to Histrory's explantion. She used her powers to trick Conan too. Poor boy almost lost his mind."
"I've never been that far into the past but then again, I don't think I would want to."
Ginny looked up, her eyes shinning with excitment.
"You wouln't believe how far back Time goes."
"Oh, I think I could." Lavy said nodding.
"Heh, Lavy, I'm seriously not kidding. It goes back further then a mind can conceive, unless seen for yourself." Her eyes still shone.
"I'm not to argue with you Ginny."
Ginny smiled, nodding, then streaching as her watch beeped. She checked it, nodding.
"What is it this time?"
"Conan's done visting his family." She said, smirking.
"They don't really like me, ah? Remember when we went threre?"
"They don't talk much to strangers."
Lavy shrugged. "I still say they didn't like me."
"You wanna ask them yourself?"
"I'm not in the mood for them to stare at my hands." Lavy said.
"Heh, who says your hands won't be healed by then?"
"It's not like it takes forever to get peole here from a differnt time."
"Heh, who said I was bringing them here?"
"You didn't."
"Exactly. And since all my medical supplies is enhanced by magic, your wounds should heal pretty fast. Mayb in half hour or so. By the time we get there and get his family in one room, they should be healed since it's been about ten minutes already."
Lavy shrugged. "Fine, then."
Ginny smiled, grabbing Lavy's shoulder and making them dissappear. For most time traveling, you needed a portal, but since Ginny had messed with this time, you could only go when someone with accsess allowed it.
They reappeared inside a large hallway, with several doors leading to diffrent rooms. Although there were no windows, anyone could feel the hight.
"Sweet, now what are we doing here?"
"Finding someone to take us to Conan and his family." Ginny said, grinng.
"I see."
"Ehhh, some one should know. Come on. Let's walk around till we find someone." Ginny said, shrugging and starting down the hall.
"Ok." Lavy followed
Ginny walked down the hall for a bit, ocassonaily opeaning doors. She sighed slightly as she came to one door, but before she could open it, it sprange open and a girl, older then them stood in the door way. She blinked then scowled at Ginny.
Ginny, howvere smiled.
"Hi Amber."
"Hello." Lavy said putting her hands back in her pockets.
Amber glanced at Lavy, fear flashing. She was afraid of Goinny and her friends.
"Lavy, this is Conan's sister, Amber."
"I'm Lavy Brown." Lavy said.
Amber gapped for a moment, then nodded, regaining her composure.
"I'm Amber Suali." She said, not cmiling.
"Nice to meet you. I would shake you hand but I seem to be having some....problems."
Amber nodded, but seemed realived.
Ginny frowned, slightly.
"Amber, where's the rest of the family?" She asked.
Lavy looked around them, waiting for Amber to answer.
"Downstairs. I think they are having dinner."
"This early?"
"Yeah, something about since Conan's home for a little bit."
"Really cool. I haven't seen him in ages."
"Hmmm." Amber said, turning her eyes on Lavy. Finally, she sighed and began walking down the hall.
"Follow me." She said, with obviouse regret.
Lavy shrugged and started after Amber.
Ginny sighed as she walked beside Lavy.
"I apologize for her. She's a brat." She said in an undertone.
"As are all sister-in-laws."
"No, not all. Sara is kind and caring. Amber had a psychological need that she has to be better. She can't get over that I saved her kingdom, not to mention her brothers and sister." Ginny sighed as they started down the large staircase.
"You know what I've always wanted to do?" Lavy said stoping at the top of the stairs.
Ginny smirked, knowing what it must be.
"Go ahead, Lavy. That's what Conan and I did first thing."
Amber stopped, making a sniffing noise.
Lavy laughed. "Sounds like you." She sat down on the banister.
Ginny laughed, smiling. She continued walking, past Amber, who reluctantly followed, making her little sniffing noises.
Lavy pushed off and started down. "Weee!" she scremed. "Hey Ginny." she said flying past her.
Ginny smiled, still walking. Amber however slowed, as though she didn't want to arrive the same time as the other two.
Lavy flow right off the banister and hit the ground hard. "That was great." she said laying down on the ground and smiling.
Ginny stepped down and smiled.
"Nice."
She stopped, looking around the large hallway then nodding, walking towards a room where noises came from.
Lavy laughed again and stood up. "Sweet, I have to do it again someday."
"Any time, Lavy." Ginny said, opeaning the door to reveal what looked like a party. Several older people were there, but the rest of Conan's family was as well. Conan stood up as the door opeaned and grinned.
"Hey Gin! Want some of that cake you taught Mum how to make?" He asked.
Before Lavy walked in she put her hands back in her pocket and then started in.
Ginny smiled.
"No Conan, but I'm sure it tastes fine." She glanced at Lavy, smiling and snapping her fingers. Without anyone else realizing, Lavy's bandages disspapeared. Ginny walked into the room, being stopped by some of the older men. They talked very seriously,. but she ust smiled and brushed them off, making her way over to Conan's mom.
"Thanks." Lavy said cathing up with Ginny.
"Yup. They should be mostly healed. May be a bit red." She said, in a undertone, then smiling at Mrs. Sulai.
"Having fun, are we?" She asked her.
"Hello." Lavy said smiling.
Conan's Mom looked up, smiling.
"Yes, ginny, loads of it. Hello there." She said, looking at lavy.
"What's your name, dear?" She asked.
Ginny smiled.
"That's Lavy Brown."
"I'm Lavy Brown." Lavy said reaching out to shake her hand.
Conan's mother smiled, shaking Lavy's hand. She looked a lot like Conan, so it wasn't hard to imagine she was his mother.
Ginny smiled, then looked around.
"Tom or Sara here?" She asked.
