Iris stood in the KingsCross Train Station. She looked down at the ticket in her hands and said,"Platform 9 3/4?" Walking to platforms 9 and 10 she leaned against the wall.Great, I'll never find it...
"Hello, are you looking for sometiing?" Lavy asked appering infornt of Iris.
Iris looked at Lavy,"Uhhh...yeah. I'm looking for platform 9 3/4. But, I can't find it."
"Oh is that all. Come with me." Lavy started up the platforms.
Iris followed, looking around.
"Your names Iris right?"
"Yeah. But how did you know?"
"I was sent down her by the Minisrty."
"Oh. Looking for me or someone else?"
"You."
"Hm, figures."Iris said looking at Lavy."I don't think I got your name."
"I didn't give it." Lavy said with a smile
"Well, than can you please give it. I would like to know the poeple I associate with."Iris said smiling back.
"Do you want the long verion or the short version of my name?"
"Short, please."
"Lavy Brown."
"Cool, so where is platform 9 3/4?"
"Right here." Lavy said stopping infront of one the pillers that said 9 on one side and 10 on the other.
"Ummmm...I don't see a Platform named 9 3/4."
Lavy rolled her eyes. "Follow me." Lavy walked up to the piller. "Walk on though." she said pointing to it.
Iris shrugged and walked toward the pillar. Closing her eyes she stepped through."Woah."She said when she reached the other side.
"Fun isn't it." Lavy said appereing next to her a few seconds later.
"Very."Iris said looking at the train."So why did the Ministry send you after me?"
"That's top secret that is." Lavy said walking over to the train.
Iris followed her,"But, come on. It's about me..."
"Yes...it is."
Iris sighed. Deciding that she didn't want to know she walked behind Lavy quietly.
"So what year are you?"
"7th. I passed a year."
"Sweet." Lavy said stepping onto the trains stairs.
"What about you?"
"Interesting. Not too many people are known to do that," a soft, quiet, velvety voice input from behind them, directly into their ears, it seemed, though she stood a few feet behind. A black cloak rested about her shoulders, concealing her thin, toned, strong being, her silky raven hair cascaded about her shoulders, reaching to her lower back. Many shades of moody greens swirled in her brisk, dazzling eyes, watching the girls in utmost curiousness. The finely honed pale beauty's full lips tilted upward slightly, in a quickly vanishing smile.
"Very interesting."
Iris looked at the woman,"Well I'm not like most people."
"Ay. Then you fit in just fine at Hogwarts."
Lavender smoothly moved to one of the open doors of the train, gracefully swooping in.
Iris looked at Lavy and said,"You coming?" She stepped onto the train and sat in an empty compartment.
A few minutes later Lavy came into the compartment.
A book laid in Iris's lap as her eyes skimmed over the page.
Lavy sat down and closed her eyes. "Lavender Samantha Brown, Queen of Chaos, Ptincess of Light, Empress of the NAS. That's my full name."
Iris looked up at Lavy,"Wow, you have a long name. Mine's just Iris Korvella Van Helsing."
"But everyone calls me Lavy, so you never have to worry about knowing my full name."
"Thank God. I think I might die if I had to say all that."
Lavy laughed.
Iris flipped a page in her book,"So what year are you in?"
"Fifth year, but I'm fourteen."
"Cool. I hope my last year in school goes fast so I can go back to Translvania."
"I found it very cold there." Lavy said thoughfuly.
"I guess I'm used to it. But, fighting makes you warmer so..."Iris shrugged.
"Who've you been fighting?"
"The Lycans. They're are bothering my clan."
"Oh, the Lycans, evil little buggers in the Forest and Hogwarts, don't get on thier bad side. And the Vampires, I'm asking you know do not go anywhere near them unless I'm there."
Iris looked up at Lavy,"Ummm...my whole family are vampires so I think I can around vampires without you."
Lavy shook her head. "Not these vampiers."
"Whatever."Iris flipped another page.
"What you reading."
"Double Helix."Iris said looking at the cover.
(I really am reading Double Helix. Good book.)
(cool)
"Sounds inresting, what's it about?"
"Some guy named Eli who finds out that he was genetically changed. Kinda complex plot."
"Sound alot like my life."
"I bet."Iris said shutting the book.
"So what don't I know about you?"
"Ummmm...I'm wearing black underwear and have a switchblade in my boot?"
(lol, everytime my friends ask me that question this is my answer)
(lolz)
Lavy started laughing.
"Glad to know someone thinks I'm funny."Iris said smiling.
Lavy smiled. "Ok, so what else?"
Iris thought for a second,"I'm a bounty hunter for the Ministry until I can find better people to work for."
Lavy raised her eyebrows. "Really....funny you say that."
"You know somebody?"
"Yep."
Iris smiled,"Well. Who are they and how do I contact them?"
"Do you want to talk to the Minister of Magic?"
"Not really..."Iris said. She hated the ministry so she wouldn't go near the minister in fear that she would rip his throat out with her bare hand.
Lavy laughed again. "Good choice, I don't feel like explaining why I let you rip his throat out."
Ginny walked throught the train humming. She was wearing normal clothes, a blue oversized t-nuts and jeans, with her hair tyied back. She didn't plan on putting on a school uniform either. She stopped outside the other's compartment and stuck her head in.
"Hey everybody!" She said, smiling.
"Hey, hey, Ginny."
"How was your summer, Lavy?" She asked faking innocence, as though she hadn't sent Lavy a few items through the mail. She grinned, and stepped into the compartment, closing the door behind her. She leaned against the door, instead of taking a seat.
"Lonely." Lavy said honestly.
Ginny smiled slyly.
"Not mine." She said, showing the two fingered victory sign. She laughed softly.
"Conan was sooo cute! We went to the USA, Californa to be specific. And trust me, he waasn't the only giy without his shirt!" She laughed, not at all embarassed.
"Sounds like I should've come." Lavy said opening on if her spell books.
Ginny laughed.
"Ready for school?" She asked, generally.
"Oh yeah, no more Snape for you guys!"
Lavender appeared beside Ginny in a most casual stance, her right leg bent, set against the door, her arms quiietly crossed, grinning her ghostly grin.
"Heyas."
"Lavender Potter!" Ginny said, her voice low and slightly dark sounding. Suddenly, out of compleatly nowhere, she grabbed Lavender in a hug.
"Ohhhhh! I missed you so much!" She wailed, manicly. Lavender was way too much like a sister to her. She laughed, let go of Lavender and leaned against the door once more. She grinned.
"Sorry, some of Conan rubbed off on me."
"Hey Lavender!"
Lavender gasped as she was suddenly grasped, and hugged, for a moment, utterly confused. She finally grinned, and returned Ginny's hug.
"I can see that!" She quietly, softly laughed. "Hey Gin!"
Lavender settled back to her casual posture.
"Hey Lavy."
"What have you been up to this summer?"
Ginny grinned, glanced out the window then smiled again.
Iris looked at them and blinked.
Lavy sat back down and closed her eyes again.
Iris looked out the window and smiled,"Hogwarts ahoy!"
Lavy smiled. "Home sweet home, sorta."
As the train stopped, Iris jumped up and began to walk off the train.
(be back later)
"Ginny transported to the top of the crowd and turned.
"First years that way, to the big guy! Second years and up, that way!" She shouted.
(same here)
Lavy stood up and started out of the compartment. She stepped out of the train soon and started up the pathway.
Ginny smiled at Lavy and Iris, then continued doing her job. She actually got paid for this.
Iris ran to the school. She knew that she could just ride the carriages to the school but she had to burn off the extra energy. Being a vampire, she ran much faster than a normal human so she arrived at the school in a matter of minutes.
Ginny finally got the last stragglers set off and began to check the train, as was custom nowadays. Finding a first year, she smiled at him, helped him from the closte her had been locked in and transported the both of them to the Great Hall. She handed him to McGonaglle and took a seat at the Gryffindor table. She rubbed her eyes and put her head on the table. The new headmaster would make a speech, but it wouldn't be as good as Dumbledore's used to be.
Iris ran into the Great Hall and skidded to a stop. She looked around and saw Ginny. Walking over to her, she sat down and started drumming her fingers on the table.
Ginny lifted a hand, in greeting and sighed.
"Raedy for a gruling year?" She asked, quietly.
"Yep, after this year I get to go back to Translvania."Iris said smiling slightly.
Ginny lifted her head, smiling, suddenly.
"Translvaina, Romainia?" She asked softly.
"Noooooo...Translvania, China..."Iris smirked,"Yeah, Romainia."
"Next time you have a history book, look for the name Conan Sulai." She said, smirking.
"What, was he a ruler or something?"Iris said running a finger through her hair.
"Uh-hu, he's also my husband." Ginny said bluntly. She yawned and put her head on the table again.
"Really? Cool."Iris said just as the headmaster stood up.
(ehhhhh...I don't feel like typing for the headmaster. :P)
(Lets make Lavy do it!! ;D ;D We should wait anyways)
(Yeah! Lavy can do it! Group hug in the showers tonight!lol)
(lolz hell no I'm to lazy)
(darn it! I'll do it...heehee, don't expect quality to be high!)
Headmaster: "This is my second year teaching you all......(bl;ah blah blah blah blah)
Ginny sighed, now ignoring the headmaster and kept her head down, at least until she heard something of intrest.
Headmaster: "All students are reciving a list of rules for the forest tomarrow morning at breakfast, along with you scheduals. (blah blah blah)
Ginny smirked and put her head down again until he was finished talking and food began to appear.
Iris looked down at the food and smiled."Whoop!"She said picking up an apple.
Ginny mummbled something then violently shook her head. She stood up quickly, almost knocking over a glass of pumkin juice near her.
"Ginny what's wrong?" Lavy said coming up froom behind her.
"Outta my way, I forgot to build my block back up." She said, pushing past Lavy and running from the hall.
Lavy rolled her eyes. "I forgot about that thing."
Ginny however had lied to lavy and the rest when she said her and Conan had been in California. She had lied about having a vacation, and since she was able to not only hide her feelings and thoughts but also disguise them, she doubted any of them could tell. Well, maybe Lavender, but that was more of a sub-consiouse sister thingy. She ran down the school steps, almost blinded by 3,000 thoughts at once. Her block had to be built up at least once a day now, sometimes more. Something was happening with it, and she didn't know what. She slipped in the grass, which was a bit damp and almost fell.
Lavender had finally gotten to the grounds of the Hogwarts Castle, held up, by the new Defence against the Dark Arts teacher, of whom had not given her his name. He had yelled at her a good while, muttering about her disregard of the rules and rude and blunt and dangerous manners. Lavender had shrugged it off, all in all, in no mood to fight back or care about her own dignity. She had been this way for months now - always getting injured and tired and sore, depressed and at times, bedridden. A First Year had gotten herself stuck in the middle of a group of prowling trouble makers. Getting her out had been no problem of Lavender's. Yet somehow, guess guess, she had gotten blamed for the whole lot of the commotion.
She brushed her hair out of her eyes and began to increase her pace, when the wind was blown out of her by the sheer impact, of her running into, or being run over, by Ginny.
Lavender turned to her side and sighed, rubbing her mud-stained thumb onto her sleeve.
Ginny fell beside her and rubbed her head.
"Ow!" She yelled sitting up. The teacher glared at her.
"Shut up, I'm not a student!" She pat at him before he could speak. She stood, slowly and held a hand for Lavender.
Lavender muffled a groan, raising slightly, taking Ginny's hand, and standing with a blank expression.
The new teacher glared at them both for a long while, then, obviously deeply confused, he walked around and away from them into the castle, without a word.
Lavender watched after him, mute, turning after a moment to Ginny, noting her pounding aura, and upset attitude. Her frown deepened, and she watched her, intently curious.
"Stop that!" Ginny said, shuddering. With her block messed up, Lavenders intense stare felt like little needles prickling all over her. She shook out her arms.
"Sorry about that Lav."
