Chris walked to the forest on a Sunday after noon. His sneakers hit the ground with a satisfying thump as he walked. He rubbed the back of his head, closing his eyes. He had been here for a week, and already, he wished to be back with his parents wandering the world as they did. He sighed and sat down, leaning against a tree.
"Hi." Ginny said, stopping. She had Moonlight, her wolf, with her. Moon sat down, staring at the boy with large yellow eyes.
"What ya doing?" She asked, smiling. Today she wore jeans and a red t-shirt with a black longsleeved shirt underneath.
"Having a bad day or somthing. I can't tell which is it yet." Lavy said from above them. She was sitting in a low branch reading somthing.
"Hey Lavy. Good book?" She asked, smiling. She looked back at Chris, then knelt down and put her arms around Moonlight, leaning into him.
Lavy shrugged. "Depends on your defination of 'good', I guess."
Chris rubbed the back of his head again and blinked, quickly. He smiled.
"Just sitting around. I'm Christopher Manji. I prefer Chris though." He smiled back at Ginny, then glanced up at Lavy.
Lavy waved down at Chris. "Hey." she said. "What's been going on with you latly, get in any fights yet?"
"No." He started to flush, since both were pretty girls.
"Unless you count fighting with my brother."
"Who's your brother?" Ginny asked, petting Moon's head softly.
"Darryl. He's a seventh year. Do you know him?" He asked. Ginny looked to be around that age.
"She will soon."
Ginny laughed.
"I read the name somewhere. Sorry, don't know him personally." She said. She smiled.
"I'm sorry. I'm Ginny Weasly."
"Nice to meet you Ginny. What year are you in" He asked, smiling back, still flushing.
"I'm not a student. I'm Head of Student Affairs." She nodded at him slightly.
"Which is why I know your brothers name."
"And everyone else's name in the school."
"But you can't be older then my brother! Did you drop out?" he asked, his flush fading as he watched her.
Ginny laughed at Lavy's comment then her eyes flashed.
"No. I didn't 'drop out.' I needed a job, so I took one. There's nothing else they could teach me anyway." She looked away. He had hit a nerve.
Lavy could tell that Chris was walking a thin line. "So, Chris how long are you planning on staying?"
He to noticed how thin his ice was wearing. He flushed again.
"Sorry." he mummbled. He looked at Lavy and shrugged.
"I guess until my parents decide it's safe enough for me and Darryl to travel with them again."
"Safe? What do you mean by that?"
"I dunno. My mom insists on not telling us." He shrugged then looked back at Ginny, who was being sillent now.
"Listen, Ginny, I'm sorry if I offended you or something. I could introduce you guys to my brother to make up for it!" He was used to most girls likeing his brother much more. He was considered 'cute', his brother, 'hot.'
"I haven't met him yet, sure, what about you Ginny?"
"Ummmm, sure, why not?" Ginny said, quietly, not really caring.
"Alright! Darryl!" he yelled, cupping his hands around his mouith. After a moment, a boy who seemed to be an older version of Chris appeared. He had blond hair that had a little wave, and he was very muscular.
"What do you need, Chris?" He asked, his hands in his pockets. He looked up at the girls and smiled.
"Hi."
Moon growled slightly, he hated it when humans did that. Ginny stood, patting Moon on the head to calm him.
"Hi. Are you Chris's brother?"
"Hi." Lavy said looking over at him. She jumped put of the tree and sat back down on the ground.
Darryl smiled at them both.
"Chris, where'd you meet these two?" He asked.
Chris sighed.
"Right here. Why?"
"Cause they are way to hot for you." He smiled at the girls.
Chris sighed again and smiled apologetically.
"You should be nicer to your brother." Ginny warned, shaking her head slightly.
"Oh I am nice!" he said, grabbing Chris and pretending to give him a hug, but really crushing him.
"Ow, stop it Darryl." Chris said, pushing away.
"Ginny's married, boys."
They both stopped and blinked.
Darryl laughed.
"Aw, I shoulda known. Anyone that pretty would be taken. What about you?" He asked, turning to lavy. "You must be around 16."
Chris blinked, still watching Ginny.
Ginny laughed.
"She's a little young for you, don't you think?"
Lavy shrugged. "Neo's 17 too."
Darryl smiled.
"Neo? Is he your boyfriend, or are you married too?"
Chris rolled his eyes.
"Sorry, my brother has a thing for girls."
"I would hope so." Lavy said with a laugh. "Nope, I'm on the market for the time being."
Ginny smirked.
"There you go Lavy. Two boys right in front of you! Chris has gotta be around 15, and Darryl is 17, so either way, you've got it good." She laughed.
"Not all players are guys." Lavy said with a smile.
"Of course, but it would be kinda mean to date both, don't you think?" She smiled again.
"Not if they don't know."
"Hmm, nice, but you just revealed your entier plan in front of them." Ginny pointed out, smiling at the boys.
(g2g.)
"D*mnit, back to square one. Maybe Neo can give me some advice, but now that I think about it he would most likly yell at me from shock and say they're no good for me." Lavy said rolling her eyes.
(ok bye)
"Who cares what Neo thinks?" Ginny asked, rolling her own eyes.
"I do." Lavy said with a shrug.
"Neo?" Both boys said at the same time. After glaring at each other, they looked back at Ginny and Lavy.
"What about him?"
"Who's he?" Darryl asked, as Chris opeaned his mouth to say the same thing.
"A freind who's in love with me." Lavy said looking back at her book.
Ginny smirked.
"Yup." She laughed and and conjured up a water orb, playing with it.
"Old enough to work for the Ministry."
"You work for the ministry too?" Chris asked, his eyes widening.
"Why is that so suprising?"
"How old are you anyway?" Darryl demanded.
Chris swallowed and glanced at his brother, who had gone into a protective type of mode. The Ministry didn't like his family that much.
"Why do you care so much?"
Darryl growled, placing a hand on Chris's shoulder.
"Because I want to know!" He said, his wand appearing in his other hand.
Before he could use his wand though, he recived a solid kick in the chest, which sent him into the tree behind him. Ginny stood still now.
"Here's a rule for my forest; never bring out your wand!"
Chris stepped back, his mouth open slightly.
"Whoa."
Darryl stood, slowly, scowling.
"It's not ok that your talking to me like that when you don't even know me." she said in an angrer voice now.
"Both of you calm down, or I'll personally beat you both into the ground. Understand?" Ginny asked, her eyes flashing.
"Like you could." Darryl retorted.
"Careful, brother, they both have energy radiating." Chris told him, softly.
Lavy stood up. "Now if you would like to know somthing about me all you need to do is ask...nicely."
Ginny narrowed her eyes at Darryl, ignoring Lavy for a second.
"Listen up, and listen good. You don't want to mess with me. I have no alms about killing people, even students. I'm more powerful then you think, and don't make me hurt you." She growled, her eyes flashing again.
"Ginny calm down." Lavy said.
"Shut up Lavy." Ginny snapped, her hair whipping as she turned her head. She glared at Lavy for a second then winced, then went back to glaring, pretending she hadn't felt any pain.
"Is the pain coming back again?" Lavy asked in a slightly worried voice.
Chris noticed the wince.
"Are you alright?" he asked. Darryl folded his arms, a bit peeved at being told off.
"I'm fine." She said, as a way of answering both questions at once. Still she frowned.
"I can smell a lie form a mile away GinnyWeasly, so maybe you should just tell us the truth."
"And maybe if I wanted you to know the truth I'd-" She stopped though, closing her eyes as the pain returned again, worse.
"Ginny?" Lavy said taking a few steps toward her and then stopped.
Darryl smirked then dissappered. He believed what goes around comes around. Chris however stood there. he had never seen someone in pain like this.
"Stay...back." Ginny managed to say as her hands went to hold her head and her knees gave out so she was kneeling.
"Ginny, plases let us take you to the nurse." Lavy said kneeling down a few feet away from her.
"The nurse cannot help." She said, squeezing her eyes tightly. Sudden;y they sprang open.
"Quick! Both of you! Get outta here!" She winced again but jumped up, pulling Lavy then pushing her towards Chris. Her face was full of urgancy as a portal opeaned behind her, no one came out yet, as though they were taking their time though.
"What, why, what's going on?" Lavy is in a suprised voice.
"Wha?!" Chris said, confused.
"Get lost!" Ginny said, trying to push them as a boy came from the portal. It closed behind him with a whoosh, and he chuckled. He had jet black hair, small brown eyes, and was wearing an old brown travaling cloak. Ginny froze as he chuckled. Her face paled. There were few people she knew she'd never beat in a battle, and this boy, this boy the same age, hieght, and wieght as her, was one of them.
"Long time no see, Queen Ginny." He said, in a low raspy voice.
Ginny shuddered, and took a deep breath, turning on her heels.
"M-mah." She said, steeling herself.
"Who are you?" Lavy said raising her eyebrows.
"Mhan Herion." he said, smiling slightly. He had the same accent as Conan, Ginny's husband did, which ment he was from Romaina.
Ginny frowned.
"They have nothing to do with you, Mahn. Leave them alone." She said, sounding braver then she felt.
(I just realized I never explained this. Herion looks lik heroin, but it's pronounced He-ryan.)
(ok thanks)
"I guessing it's not nice to meet you but anyways, what do you want?" Lavy said in a casual voice, even thiught she could feel Ginnys fear.
Chris looked at the boy, still confused. He couldn't see how afraid Ginny was.
Mahn seemed bored. So bored that he began picking at a hangnail.
"I just came to have another 'session' with my grandfather's killer." He said, glancing up with a smile.
"Get lost you two." Ginny said to Lavy and Chris, not looking. Her hands were shaking slightly.
"No, see now I'm intrested. Wat do you mean by 'session' it' can't be nice, right?"
"Lavy, get out of here." Ginny said, clenching her fists, which were shaking as well.
"My, don't you catch on quick?" Mhan said, still picking his hangnail.
"Sorry for my stupidity, but you need to explain things to me." Lavy said crossing her arms.
"No, I don't think I do. As Queen Ginny said earlier, you arn't involved." He said, now looking up. Something was strange with his eyes. Both had large puplils that weren't black, but grey.
Ginny shuddered again.
"Mhan." She said, weakly, for he was already chipping at her block again and it hirt, "please, leave them alone..."
"Oh really, well I disagree with you on that one. So your going to have to convince me otherwise."
"How about this. The day I decide I want to talk to you, I shall sek you out. Now shoo." He muttered, cupping his hands as though getting ready to pitch a baseball.
Lavy rolled her eyes and then turned to leave.
"Take the boy with you." Mhan said to Lavy. He looked back at Ginny.
Lavy sighed. "Fine, come one Chris." she said,
Ginny waited until she could no longer see the two. She knew Mahn couldn't sense a person's mind or body. She threw an energy wave at him, surprising him.
Mhan sighed and jumped over it, blasting Ginny into a tree.
"Nice try."
Lavy stoped and silenly turned back. She walked very slowly until she was behind a tree looking over at Ginny and Mhan.
Ginny stood shakily. She clapped her hands against a tree, and a branch above Mhan fell. He held up his hand, making the branch freeze in mid-air. Agaian he blasted Ginny with a blue power ball.
Chris stood beside Lavy. He watched wide eyed as Mhan blasted Ginny the second time.
"Shouldn't we help her?"
"Shhhh......"
Ginny cried out as she slid down the tree. Mhan walked over, pulling out a switch blade. Ginny struggled, but now her powers were becoming muddled as well as her mind.
Lavy covered her mouth so that her gasp couldn't be heard. She had never seen Ginny like this and now, Lavy was starting to get scared.
"Oh don't worry, Ginvera. You know as well as I do you don't die for a few more years." Mhan said kneeling beside her. She squeezed her eyes shut then opeaned them. In a burst of energy she pushed his hand that held the knife away. Her aim was bad though and her palm landed on the blade.
"Nice job, genius." Mhan said, disgustedly. He pulled some of her hair taunted and used the knife to take some of it.
With all her might Lavy stoped herself from jumping out from behind the tree and killing Mhan. So she pressed herself up against the tree she was behind and remaind queit.
Mhan stood and smirked at Ginny.
"Of course, someone as smart as you would know why I'm taking your hair. What are my options? Polijuce potion? No, to hard to convince everyone. Hmm, maybe it's amemory potion? No, that takes a year to brew, or maybe, it's a power potion." He smirked. "Yes, that will do, right? The power ption drains your body's energy, almost like a Muggles tranquilizer. Then I need to get ahole of your power stone. That may take some work." He laughed and kicked her in the side.
Ginny bit her lip, and forved herself to stand, even though she couldn't think quiet stright. She lunged at him, managing to knock him down, with her on top, then she feinted, since it had taken all her left over energy.
Mhan scowled as her head landed on his shoulder. He rolled, so she was beneath him and pushed himself up, brushing off his sleeves.
Chris watched, wondering what to do. He knew he couldn't take on that guy.
"You know you are very annoying." Lavy said coming out from behind the tree very calmly.
"yes, and so are you. besides, she feinted on her own." He said, still brushing himself off.
"Oh I know she did, but you didn't help." Lavy said putting her hands on her hips.
"What's to help? She'll wake up in about a halfhour and get mad at herself. She's cry and go into a slight depression then act like nothing is wrong in fron of her friends." Mhan said, calmly, pocketing Ginny's red hair and his switch blade.
"Besides, she killed my grandfather. It may take me a few years, but I'll kill her."
"Are you serious? She killed your grandfather so your going to kill her. That's the most rediculous think I'v ever heard. I kill thousands of people, do you think they should kill me over that. Don't answer that." Lavy added.
"Oh, and I forgot, the kingdom she rules was supposed to be mine." He said, turning to face her. He smiled wickedly.
Lavy rolled her eyes. "Oh, cry me a river, dude you gotta get over it. It's not yours end of story. And wipe that grin off your face it's annoying."
"I know, I can feel your annoyence, but I can also feel your fear." He smirked and pulled out a red stone.
"That's nice for you...but I don't really care."
"bye bye, Lavender Brown. I'm sure I'll see you again." He said, rubbing the stone and disspappearing.
Ginny stirred.
"I look forward to it." Lavy said walking over to Ginny and sitting down next to her.
Ginny's eyes opeaned, but she wasn't seeing throu8gh them. She was running it over in her mind. She rubbed her forhead as she sat up, scowling darkly at herself.
"I t woul have been easier if you would have told me whi he was from the begining you know."
"No, it wouldn't have." Ginny said, pushing herself up. She rubbed her head. He had immediatly gotten control of her feelings and part of her mind, disabling some of her powers.
"And why is that?"
"Because it wouldn't have mattered." She felt the spot where her hair had been cut and her eyes widened.
"He took that much!" She said, beginning to freak. Her hair was her favorite thing about herself, and magic couldn't make it grow back.
"Yeah."
"Aw man, what am I gonna do?" She said, sighing. She rubbed her forhead again.
