Harry can talk to all the other portraits but ehy cant he talk to the portraits of James and Lily??
.....I never thought about that before....
I wondered about that too, but I just thought I missed something... maybe the portraits at Hogwarts are different from others and there are no portaits of Lily and James at Hogwarts... lolz.... I dunno...
But he can talk to the portraits at Grimmwould remember?
Only the one. I think only certine pictures can talk, the others can only move....
Maybe your right i dunno...Actually i think that might be it. ;D
JK Rowling has already answered this question! I just wished I remembered the answer... ;D

where would he even find a portrait of them all he has are pictures not portraits like he cant talk to the pictures on the daily prophet can he now
Now we're getting REALLY confused here... The headmasters in Dumbledore's office are PORTRAITS, aka DRAWINGS... But those on the prophet are PICTURES, aka PHOTOGRAPHS...
me to i think that you can only talk to portrates not pictures! like lily and james potter!!

1. Goto jkrowling.com
2. Click "HTML Format"
3. Click something like "FAQ" or "Rumors"
4. Check it out... It might be there... It should be there...
