Jazzlyn walked around the grounds. She was thinking about him. The one guy she felt she actually had a crush on and he was right here in this skool. But she knew he would never notice her. Who would notice her? She was just a freak and no one liked her. She sat down and pulled a notebook out of her bag and looked at the name scrolled on the front. Fred weasley...
"Ermmm, why is my brothers name on that notebook?" Ginny asked, from behind the girl. She had been walking past, and had only glanced at the girls notebook. In fact, in Ginny's arms she held a squirming bundle of blankets, and her face was red from trying to keep the bundle from falling. But all the same, she had to wonder why Fred's name was on this girls notebook.
She hurried and covered her notebook. "no reason." she sighed and hid her blushing face Just the person she wanted to find out his own sister. SHe looked out at the water. "Whats in the bundle?"
She smiled at the girls blush and moved the top of the cover. Inside the cover was about three hairless, yet fat warm very much alive puppies. She smiled down at them as they nosed each other, their eyes still closed.
"Poor things. Half wolf, half dog. Thier mother, the wolf, died, so I'm hoping some people will take them in."
"Oh they are so cute. Did you find them in the forest? When they get old enough i will take one is that okay?" She smiled and looked at the puppies.
"I didn't find them. I train the wolves and help them with little things in the forest, and in return, they are the guards of the forest. I add some magic to help them live and they can't be hurt by any magic." She smiled and covered the puppies back up so they wouldn't get cold.
"And that would be great."
Xaver fell from the tree to the left of them, and landing smoothly on his feet, he came up behind Ginny, resting his chin upon her shoulder, reaching around to gently rub the ears of the one more adventurous puppy, already crawling away from the others, his hand going beneath the blanket. He didn't raise it - he could see the puppies moving beneath it anyway.
"I will too.." he said softly.
Spontaneous, he knew, but eh.
"Might I hold that one?"
Ginny smiled sideways at him and nodded, shifting the puppies in her arms so he could pick up the one he pointed out.
She looked back up at the girl.
"Anyway, I'm Ginny Weasly. Nice to meet you."
Xaver kissed her cheek, and picked the wandering puppy up out of her arms. He backed away slightly, bending one arm slightly, letting it sit on it, the other petting the puppy's ears, and back. The little beast soon got bored with that, however, and was soon crawling up Xaver's arm, finding it more appropriate to sit on Xaver's shoulder.
"Are you sure they are not half bird?"
He grinned, watching the pup out of the corner of his eye, closely. No way would he let it fall. The puppy sniffed, then gently nipped Xaver's ear, before wandering back down his arm, and settling in his arms. Xaver chuckled and shook his head.
Jazzlyn laughed at the wandering puppy.
"I'm jazzlyn but everyone calls me jazzy. Nice to meet you too."
Ginny smiled at the puppy, then turned her eyes away from the puppy to Xaver's face, then to Jazzy. She smiled again.
"Anyone ever call you Jazz?" She asked, jokingly.
"Yeah a couple times but not anymore."
SHe looked down and frowned.
"Hey, no need to get all sad. Come on. You can come down to Hogsmead with me. That's where the people who are willing to look after these guys live. You too, Xaver." Ginny said, glancing at him. She smiled at Jazzy.
"I'm coming. But this little guy is mine, if that's alright."
The little puppy barked in agreement, rolling onto its back, ears and paws flapping lazily. Xaver grinned down at it, and scratched the pups belly for a moment, before looking back up at Ginny, giving a sly, playful wink.
He smiled at the girl, Jazzy, and nodded in hello.
Ginny blinked at the puppy and shook her head.
"How you get such a small thing to do such things is beyond me, Xaver."
"I'm not getting him to do anything," he persisted. "He's just a spirited little fellow."
Xaver chuckled, and petted the puppy's ears, grinning lightly, as it fell off into a heavy sleep, still comfortably asleep on its back upon his arm.
Xaver smiled up at her, reached over with his free hand, and gently poked her in the nose.
Ginny made a face and looked at Jazzy.
"And this is Xaver." She said, nodding her head at him.
She smiled and nodded hello she stood up. "When will they be old enough to separate one? Cuz i would take one."
"Well, you could take one now, if you feel up to finding someone to feed it every two hours." She said, smiling, "Which most of the house elves would love to do." She hinted pointedly, walking and carring the puppies.
Xaver walked close to Ginny's right side, smiling a little bit, over at her.
"Want help with that bundle?" he asked, eyeing the squirming blanket.
"I've got it under control." She said, shaking her head.
Josh came up and tapped Xaver on the shoulder."I have a little problem."His eyes were crossed eyed.
Xaver nodded at Ginny, hearing Josh's footsteps, and the pounding of his heart, far before he approached. He turned his head when he was tapped, frowning curiously when he saw Josh's face.
"What did you do this time?"
SHe smiled and followed them. She giggled as he asked what he did this time.
Ginny offered her younger brother a glance, but kept walking.
:-\ Sorry? I can't get meaning... I know english not so good. what 'bout do you talk?
Jazzy walked behind them she smiled at their friendship.
"I hope you'll excuse my youngest brother, Jazzy. He isn't exactly the sharpest crayon in the box." Ginny said to Jazzy, offering her a smile.
Smiled back. "Its okay. Every family has one or in my case a couple hundred."
Laughs
"Ya well i was kinda messing with the potions when Snape wasnt looking and one of them exploded in my face and i went cross-eyed and cant go back to normal.Jazzy thats a name i havent heard before."Josh said enthusiastically.
"Kinda messing?"
Xaver shook his head, turned toward Josh, and stopped walking, cradling the sleeping puppy carefully against his chest. With his free hand, he reached out, and tapped Josh on the forehead with his palm, a green-blue light passing between them. The force of it didn't upset Xaver in the least, but it did knock Josh off his feet, and send him sprawling on his back a few yards away.
"It'll be alright, now," he called after him, shrugging. "You'll just have an extreme headache. You didn't ask for a gentle remedy."
Xaver shifted the puppy gently, and petted its soft ears.
"Thanks.I really anjoy headsches."He said sarcastically.
"Would you rather not see?"
Xaver glanced at him, mercilessly.
"Besides, Ginny has always been the nice one. She might have figured out a way to help you that was less brutal. I, however, am a menace. Rarr."
Xaver chuckled deeply, quietly, shaking his head.
"Ginny the nice one?Dude there is something wrong with you i mean seriously come on!"
"Perhaps there is," Xaver said, a little more coldly.
Then he frowned. He didn't get Josh's intentions.
"What do you mean?"
"What i mean is that your actually wrong for once. And im not saying im the nice one but its defeintly not Ginny."
Ginny turned on her heels and walked up to her brother, handing the puppys to Xaver as she walked past.
"Nice? I'll show you nice!" She said, slapping him across the face. Not a hard slap, not even hard enough to twist his head. Just hard enough to sting. No, she wasn't the nice one, but she didn't need her little idiot brother going around saying that. If anyone could upset her these days, it was her brothers. She raised her hand threateningly.
"Take my advice, Josh. Don't upset me again!" She growled at him, narrowing her eyes.
"Well its true, your not the nice one and neither am I.And its defeintly not Percy."He said trying not to upset her too much.
If it had been another, it was plausible that Xaver would have tackled him to the ground right then and there, no questions. His character had changed, and there really was no peg on what way and how he reacted nowadays. But, as Josh was Ginny's brother, and she had just handed him an armload of innocent puppy-flesh, he was resolved to staying where he was, though he did shoot Josh a withering, cold glare.
"Asininity it is, for the man which hath insulted one close to them, one of family. Blood is not always very strong, but family does be one of thy most important terms known to the living. I should know. Mine was very much destroyed."
Xaver suddenly became still, everything about him blank, and unreadable. He just shook his head.
"Don't realize what you actually have at the time that you lose it. You will be very sorry."
Ginny looked at her brother, breifly remembering him when they were little. She ran a hand through her own hair and sighed.
"Your an idiot, and if you wern't my brother, I'd throw you in the lake." She muttered, turning.
"You know you used to be a lot cooler than you are now always joking around and playing. Now you never have anytime for fun, your always serious you never play around like you used to.Thats what i miss about you Ginny."
"Okay that enough family should not fight so much. I aint inn your family but i'll be the nice one just quit screwing around." Laughs and shakes head. These guys are freaks.
Ginny glanced at Jazzy, offering her a quick smile. She glanced back at Josh, and although she didn't say it, it was obviouse what she thought. 'I've grown up, and your still a little child,.'
Xaver didn't say anything. He glanced between the three, his expression coolly blank, and reserved. Simply, he stared at them all for a long moment, before looking away, into the forest.
He made an odd sight, himself.
The puppy he had taken first was still asleep on its back in the crook of one arm. One had snuck up, and fallen asleep at his shoulder. The rest were all snuggled together, and asleep at his crossed arms. He had mentally soothed them, and was absently talking to them, calming them, subconsciously relaxing them enough, to sleep. He didn't move, though. He wouldn't be able to live with himself if one fell, as the empty blanket had, around his feet.
He shook his head."You use to be happy. Now your always angry."He walked passed Ginny and out the door.
"I'll give you angry..." Ginny muttered under her breath, walking back to Xaver and picking up the blanket, snapping it to get rid od excess dirt. She wrapped it around the puppies and took them from Xaver.
"Come on."
she shook her head at their bickering. It reminded her of her and her sister always fighting.
Xaver shook his head, and followed, still holding the original puppy, that he had adopted, more or less. He matched his strides to Ginny's, and walked beside her, quiet.
Ginny glanced at Jazzy.
"Comming?"
"Yeah sorry i was spacing off." Laughs.
