Josh sat there. He was on his 7th bottle of beer.He looked around. It was the least crowded he had ever seen in his life.It surprised him and he put his head on the table.
"The intoxicated Josh will get the hell beat out of him, if Ginny ever finds you," Xaver commented casually, pulling up a chair across from him.
He picked up one of the empty bottles, and read it over curiously before setting it back down. Xaver had heard somewhat about mortal drinking, but he'd never tried it himself. It seemed stupid, the whole idea. And supposedly, all of it tasted rancid. Xaver hadn't been around long enough, anyway, to completely understand the way and the why's behind such actions.
Since the death of his little sister Kylie, Xaver had changed dramatically, though he rarely showed it. Right then, though, some of the lingering effects seemed to have literally shadowed his external form. He seemed paler, thinner, and his eyes had lost much of that merry, careless mischief. But still he remained composed, with a light humor and smile.
For his friends, anyway. And for Ginny. For Kylie's memory.
"What happened, Josh?"
'What do you meaned what happened?"Josh said slurring his words a bit."I came in here and that man in the apron gave me a drink on the house and--"Josh became slightly dizzy."Wow i think i may be a bit drunk."
"A bit," Xaver retorted.
He reached over and took the bottle from Josh's hand, putting it with all the others. With a thought he asked and thanked the nearest waitress, who quickly took all the drinks away.
"Did you intoxicate yourself, or did that heavy man asume you wanted to be in this state and gave you a drink you didn't know of?"
"Its deliciois and very.........delicious!!"He said hiccuping out the word very.He smiled as he saaw Xaver as a fat man with a ham in his mouth."Your funny."
(a ham? lmfao)
Xaver scowled.
"And very stupid."
He grew confused then, as Josh began to find him funny. Was he being funny?
"I'm what?"
(lol i tried to think of something and that was the first thing that popped into my head)
"Your a funny man you know that?"Josh hiccuped and nearly passed out at one point.
(lol)
Xaver blinked.
"Okay, time to get you back to the dorm, little buddy."
He stood, motioning for Josh to follow. If he could.
Josh motioned the bartender for another beer. The bartender came over to the table and gave him another one."Yay!!"He took a big gulp.
Ginny appeared behind Josh, and looking like a younger Molly, she grabbed Josh's ear and yanked it up, forcing him to stand and drop his drink. She glared at the bartender.
"He's underage! I should arrest you for serving him so much!"
The bartender shrugged and walked away.
"Ouch your hurting my ear sissy."Josh said laughing.
She growled, a murderous sound and shoved him back in the chair.
"Josh, you better knock out of that drunken daze before I knock you out of it!" She threatened, causing several other people to look at her. She had kicked a few of them from the forest when they were drunk, and knew her threat wasn't empty.
Josh fell out of his chair. He has passed out.
"Idiot." Ginny breathed, kicking him aside.
He vomited on the floor and a couple of people ran out because of the smell.
"You're much better off with her Giving you pain, than by someone who could have found you passed out in some alleyway, you half-wit," Xaver muttered, staying as he was.
Xaver shook his head, casting a slightly amused, slightly worried look toward Ginny, with it, emotons he showed no other. Then, he glanced back at Josh, and frowned.
"He'll be out for a while," he grumbled, stating the obvious.
He rose and raked a hand through his messy hair.
"What is that stuff called, that he was drinking?"
Ginny picked up one of the empty bottles.
"Looks like butterbeer, but..." she smeeled the top of the bottle, and made a face, "smells like firewhisky. Humans shouldn't be able to get drunk off this little butterbeer, the stupid idiot." She glanced at her little brother, making a slight noise, like an angry cat.
Xaver glanced down at Josh.
"Hell live through this spell. If you don't throttle him to bad, that is. Maybe we should just get him back..?"
"I don't care. he can lay there all night. I hope he gets kicked a few more times." She muttered, sliding into his seat. She starred at the bottles in front of her and with one swift movment, knocked them all off the table with her arm. Most of the bottles smashed, and the entier bar went quiet. She ignored them compleatly.
Xaver set his hands onto the back of the chair, leaning foreword slightly so he was speaking in her ear.
"Come on, now, do you really mean that? He's family.."
He watched her curiously, not giving a caring glance to the bottles, or the other people for that matter.
"In case you havn't noticed, Xaver, the men in my family are more often then not, drunken idiots." She hissed. She folded her arms across the table and put her head down.
"No, I haven't. One of the women has taken up much of my interest, and I've been blindly walking like a merry fool through most recent times. Haven't minded it much. I quiet like my attention to be where it has been."
Xaver shrugged and left her for a moment, fetching a chair, finally getting one and pulling up close to her right. He didn't completely understand the situation. He understood what both firewhiskey and butterbeer were, but he didn't really understand the concept of alcoholism. He hadn't been around that long. It was obviously stupid, though.
"How do you do that?" She mummbled into her arms, sitting back up and glancing at her brother as the noise started comming back.
"Do what?" Xaver asked, rising slowly, mentally weaving a spell, and causing Josh to levitate on an invisible will.
"Make me not feel so angry." She muttered, sideways. She stood, glancing at her brother's body.
He glanced at her, giving a gentle smile, reserved only for her. He didn't smile that much anymore. But didn't feel the restraints when around her. He actually felt like smiling around her, and ment it.
"Talent?" he commented, giving his mental power a tug. Josh's body floated behind him, as Xaver nodded toward the door.
"Well, I'm afraid that talent wouldn't win anything in a talent show." She said, slightly sarcastic.
"If it wins me your calm, to be happy I am humbly abliged," he replied, ignoring her sarcasm, and shrugging.
Josh opened his eyes.He layed there knowing it was a spell that was holding him up.He was a little less drunk now,but could still be very idiotic.
Ginny saw her brother's eyes open and she hissed, darkly at him.
He smiled and closed his eyes again.
