Ginny stood in front of the gates leading away from the school. Students filed past her, talking happily about what they were going to buy in Hogsmead. Ginny wrapped her aarms tightly around her, trying to keep warm. Her jacket wasn't warm enough. It was only October, but it was very cold. She kept an eye out for any students who wern't old enough as well as those who wern't permitted to go this weekend.
She almost looked like a student, and if it wern't for the way she looked at the actual students, many of them would have thought she was. Ginny had on jeans and a jacket, just like they did, and she wasn't exactly tall. But she knew just about every student, and they knew her.
(Yeah, it' snowing here. Ugh.)
(dang that sucks, it just stopped raining here, it was raining for two days straight)
Lavy appered next to Ginny waering a thin sweater. "Wow I forgot is was so cold here." she said and then looked around at the students. "Hogsmed weekend?"
Ginny smiled at her slightly.
"Yeah." She looked up, her eyes had slight circles, and she really needed a few days off. She had been working nonstop for the past few weeks, and it showed if you looked closely enough. She leaned against the gate a bit, still watching the students file pass. Secretly, her main power was running low and she needed rest, but no one was able to tell unless she needed to use her magic.
(Haha, it was hard to type this, cause I'm listening to Avenue Q....)
(yeah I'm listening to this music and I keep typing the songs words and not my own)
"I remember when I had times for those. Well just bearly, it seems all I do nowadays is kill people and fight with Neo."
Ginny grinned.
"And I don't even have time for that anymore." She laughed lightly. She always made light of the fact she had killed millions of people and she would probably kill millions more before she died. And her and Neo didn't agree, so it was always fun to argue with him over.
Ginny pushed herself from the gate, standing straight as the last few students walked out. She smiled at Lavy before preforming that charm that kept people from just walking through the open gates. She had to concentrate slightly, for with her power running low, she had to make sure she didn't use too much of it.
( when is this set?)
Pig walked up behind them in a soft warm blue jumper, she frowned as she saw how much concertration it was taking Ginny to do that spell.
" You OK Ginny?" Pig asked as she shook her hair out of her eyes.
Ginny jumped, surprised when Pig spoke to her. She turned quickly, her eyes slightly wide. She took a deep breath and grinned.
"Of course I am!" She said, a bit too cheefully. She smiled at the two, "Come on, I'll buy your guys some butterbeer." She told them.
(When we're all teachers.)
(cool)
Pig did not press the subject but she knew something was wrong she could allways tell 1 because she was a healer and 2 was that she Knew Ginny very well.
" yeah i could do with a nice butterbeer, I'm so glad its the weekend and a hogsmead trip. i can finally relax for once but knowing this school i will be back in the medical wing in no time" she said frowning
"Yeah, I'll take you up on that offer, I need a few hours of nothing to do, but talk and stuff."
She smiled and started down the trail that led to the town.
"Yeah, Pig. You'll be back there in about an hour or two because some kids got into a fist fight, I'll bet." Ginny said, laughingly. She really didn't have a choice, she had to go into Hogsmead in case something happened.
As they reached the village, they saw many kids walking in small groups, past the shops. The youngest, the third years that is, were amazed at all the shops. They all seemed to be enjoying it.
Sarah not paying attention to the people around her had decide that she would get her some candy before heading to Hogsmead for a homework session. She normally would have been drawling the people as they ran around but today she really needed to get some of the papers done.
"Man why did I let my self get so behind." Sarah said as she started a report over different ingredient for potions. She was never good at it but unlike some of the kids she hung with she tried to do her work.
Ginny led her two friends down the road towards the Three Broomsticks. She looked happy on the outisde, but she was really just tierd. She hoped she didn't have to use her magic too much today. It was wearing her thin. She doubted anyone would attack them, since the last attack hadn't even been worthy of being caled that.
The ministry had headed the attackers off, before they got anywhere near the school or Hogsmead, and had silently and swiftly wiped them all out.
Sarah had decided to head for the three broomsticks hoping to find an empty table to get to work at. She had already done the drawling she wanted to do for the day. It was of some of the kids taking in a group about where they should go and what they should do that day. Then there was the picture she had drew one of all the building she normally did that because after the school year is done she had no camera so these drawings were her way of remembering her school years. :)
She then walks in and notices that this might be harder to find a sit then it seems. She start to look around for a spot. Trying not to drop the things in her hands when she notices some of the teachers from Hogwarts and decided to come say hi.
"Hi professor Ginny, Lavy, and Pig. I hope your having fun today." Sarah says smiling as she walks up to them. "I better go find me a sit."
It was a cold afternoon. Many were bundled up around hot mugs of sweet butterbeer, he could see, in the shop across the street. Some just bundled up, and idly chatting. Most were school students. It must have been some school trip they were on.
Xaver remembered those. He remembered the times when he himself would sit with close friends around a some table and discuss whatever be it they wanted to.
He'd always loved the cold though. In his heart, it just felt like whatever semblance of home he knew.
Xaver closed his eyes, and watched, like a soundless film, himself spiral upwards, black wings tucked in close, and then plunge down, into the snow with a huge 'poof' erupting around him of white stuffs.
His first winter here.
Yeah. He remembered that.
The Fallen prince opened his icy blue orbs, brought his fist to his mouth, and gave a low cough. It was a very common, simple thing-nobody took a look his way. But no one who actually knew him was there. No one could know he wasn't so much human as them - Xaver never coughed.
But he didn't seem too worried about it.
After all, he was so much better, now.
Xaver looked once more around the book shop, then went to the register, and bought the thick volume he'd been lugging around back and forth through the store. His change bag noticably lighter, he exited the ancient shop, stepping outdoors. The slightly shrouded sunlight hit his tall form, the blacks of his crisp long coat, and deep, obsidian hair, so dark it seemed they absorbed the light.
He was strong featured, handsome, and had gained back his weight and muscle mass, his lean form strong again. But he was still ghostly pale. Almost a deathly porcelain color. And the dark rings under his eyes only enhanced the look of his weariness.
He was so tired.
But it didn't matter. He was back, finally. He had never wanted to leave in the first place.
Xaver tucked the thick book under his arm and dug into his pockets as he walked, ignoring the interested stares of others. He fought the instinct to roll his eyes when he passed a group, and heard whispering and giggling. Did anyone ever grow out of that? It wasn't just younger people, it was adult as well. They still gaggled like they had when he was younger. It was still signifigantly annoying.
He didn't look at any of them as he passed, fishing through his pockets. He stopped at the corner of the Three Broomsticks Building, pulling from his pocket, what looked like a marble. In fact, it was a water orb. The same that Ginny had given to him, so long ago.
He missed her.
As Xaver watched the orb roll back and forth across his palm, he sighed slightly.
He had loved her. He still loved her.
But she'd probably forgotten all about him, by now.
He looked at the orb for a moment more, then deposited it back into the safety of his pocket. He always had it with him.
Xaver looked upward into the overcast skies, watching the clouds move over the sun, concealing it within their depths, then moving away again, ever shifting and ever changing. He felt a familiar itch on the muscles of his back, but ignored it, looking away, and starting down the street, drumming his fingertips against his new book.
Sarah had said hi to the teachers. She then found herself a spot in the cornor and got to work on the homework she had to do. She had got done sooner then she thought and decided that it would be fun to draw the people around her.
She started off with the table she had just left drawing every detail down to the shape of the cup. Then she moved to a table with some girls who were talking about who knows what. Then last she drew herself she had sit looking in the mirror that she now could draw her where ever and at add a background. That one was of her doing some work in the three broom sticks alone
"So Ginny." Lavy said sitting down. "How's life at the Ministry since I left them?"
She watched the student who had said hi to them go sit by herself and sighed. She watched the girl for a moment more, feeling bad for her.
She looked at Lavy and smiled.
"Annoying, same as always." As she spoke she felt something strange, as though someone had been just beyond the wall. Someone she hadn't seen in a long while. She looked around the room, and sent off a al;most silent message. Only one person would be able to hear that. That is, if he was close enough. She couldn't send the signal far, not with her magic draining like it was. She looked back at Lavy, all this taking less then a second.
"I sometimes wish I could work just one. The school, or the Ministry. But I can't. Too much work to do."
He wasn't going back. Not until he had to. Which would be soon, of course. But he'd already dealt with all the critical and most the substantial problems and sorts. He wasn't leaving. Maybe he could buy a home here.. That sounded nice.
Well, here, in general, didn't. Xaver wasn't too fond of the city-life. But maybe somewhere in the surrounding area, or country, or whatnot.
Somewhere in this realm.
Somewhere.
Or maybe he could just go back, and drown himself in the misery of politics and work day in and day out wherever he found he was needed.
He would hate to..
Xaver hadn't been outside, in a long while. He'd been too sick - too weak.
It was a long story.
But he wanted to spend at least a little time in the open..
Problem was.. he didn't have anybody to spend time with. It wasn't like he'd gotten the chance to tell anybody when he fell into an injury-induced coma, that he wouldn't be returning for a while. They probably thought he'd gone and left them..
The thought stung, nipping sharply at a more numbed space beneath the protection of his ribs. He sighed softly, and watched the road.
Then something carressed the shields of his thoughts like a silken touch of salvation, stopping him so abruptly in his tracks, he drew odd looks. But he didn't care. He knew that touch. And, though he was almost too far away for it to reach him.. He knew it.
Could it be?
His pale hands literally shaking, his heart lodged in his throat, Xaver spun round, snaking through the crowd.
Could it be?
He almost lost his book once, but he made it to the Three Broomsticks without incident - and almost without pause, his excited hand turning the knob, his form almost bouncing inside. The bond had faded by then, but he could feel her presence. His eyes flickered straight to a certain table.
And Xaver saw her.
His heart skipped a beat or ten, as a small, warm smile formed. Something that had been absent upon his features since the last time he had seen her.
"Ginny," he whispered.
Pig took another sip of her drink " I Dont know how you do it Gin, i work one job and i feel thats to much" Pig said
((ooc:I have gotta stop listening to Wierd Al and Avenue Q when I type these!))
No one really looked up when the door opeaned, and Ginny couldn't bare to. She couldn't bare that feeling she had gotton for a long while, when it hadn't been him to come through the door. Instead, she concentrated on her conversation. Besides, she couldn't see the door without turning her head.
"I don't know how I do it either, Pig." She rolled her butterbeer in her hands, looking down at the bottle. "It's so hard sometimes, but I can't leave the school. We're the only things that keep it safe nowadays. And if I leave the ministry, they'll go back to convicting innocent people. I can't let them do that, but I can't abandon these students." She let some of her tierdness and sadness creep into her face. "It's very hard."
( ;D ha ha)
" I know what you mean i could never leave the school either, I help to many people here" she said smiling at her friend warmly
(lol)
The pub was full of students and numb townsfolk alike, so, framed in the doorway, Xaver was quickly jostled out of the way. He remained in a sort of daze, until a sharp elbow brought him out of it. He grinned sheepishly at those trying to get through the doorway, and slowly made across the room.
It was a slow process. Mainly, because people just wouldn't move. He knew he could just magic himself over.. but he was simply to tired. He didn't want to push his limits again too soon. He'd already had to stop once today because he was shaking so bad, sit down and rest.
He hated it.
Xaver stopped, just behind Ginny. He could almost smell the faint scent of her shampoo.
Xaver grinned.
Ginny felt someone standing behind her, but she assumed it was just someone waiting for the crowd to thin a bit. She looked into her bottle again then up at Pig, smiling slightly.
"Yes you do." She took a sip of her drink and set it down, looking a bit happier. Butterbeer had that effect on people. She was still very tired, but she'd get over it. She had to go make the students outside aware that she was around still so they didn't cause any trouble.
"I'll catch you two later." She said to them, slipping out of her chair and turning. She stopped dead though when she saw who was behind her. Her mouth parted slightly, and she simply stood there. She wasn't aware that the nose in the room had increased slightly, she couldn't hear it. In fact, she could barely see the room now.
Ginny's vision began to fade to black, and she gripped the table to try and keep herself upright. To try and stop from fainting.
The dazed grin of his turned into a worried frown when she turned around. He knew.
Instinctively, he moved, his book hovering in place, a black hazy aura about it, where he had left it, a sturdy arm wrapping protectively, gently, about her shoulders. He had watched her expressions - and he wasn't sure her surprise was a good thing or not.. but that didn't mean he wouldn't do anything in his power to help her.
"Your magic is so low..." he said softly. His tones were a shade lower than before, and he spoke softer, just loud enough for one to hear. "Is there somewhere you can lay down?"
She didn't let herself just relax in his arms, even though she wanted to. She couldn't beleive he was real. Actually, she thought he was just a side effect from her low magic. So as a result, she struggled to keep consiousness, which only resulted in bringing her closer to fainting.
"You can't really be here..." She said softly, before fainting compleatly in his arms.
"Ginny..."
Had she missed him? His heart lurched against the cage of his ribs, of both worry and hope. He caught her, easily, when she collapsed - he had been expecting it, too. He knew Ginny well, and he could sense the weakness of her shields, even in his own weakened state.
An arm holding her, he slipped out of his heavy, thick, warm long coat, and in one motion, brought his other arm beneath her knees, and scooped her up into his arms, holding her close against his chest, his coat like a blanket over her form.
"I can be, love," he whispered to her. "I'm here."
He gently kissed her forehead, shaking his head, his thoughts almost bursting over the brim with emotion. He nodded at the still hovering book, and it simply evaporated, to whatever destined place he told it to go. He could feel his own magic weakening like sand falls through an hourglass, but he didn't care. He set up an impenetrable aura about her, gently assuring her powerlines with his own, helping to build her strength back. Glad she was unconscious in only that way, for she couldn't tell how drastically low his own energy was. ..He hoped.
When she seemed stable, he left her alone, mentally. Let her sleep. Protecting her, holding her, only.
((OOC: I was waiting for someone else to post, but no one seems to want to, so I'm just gonna go ahead and post))
Ginny's magic began to restore itself after she fainted, and that push from Xaver also helped. Her brain compleatly shut down everything except the things keeping her alive. She didn't dream, but she did think. She could feel too. She felt him holding her, and that allowed her to relax, which in turn restored her powers a bit faster.
Xaver made to transport them both to somewhere safer, somewhere toasty warm, and comfortable for her - but one, he didn't remember where, if there was anymore, such place would be around here, and two.. he just didn't have the strength. He moved the table slightly, and sat back upon the plush long seat in a booth, holding her still, watching her the entire time, her head against his shoulder. Simply holding her.
-Ginny?-
He spoke softly into her thoughts, his link a little worn, a little ragged, but strong nonetheless.
She could hear him, but she wasn't sure if she could reply. She could still hardly beleive it.
~Are you really here, or am I dreaming again...I couldn't bare it if I was! Please tell me it isn't a drem....~ Her own link was soft, careful, and quiet.
She started to regain consiousness, and could hear his heart beat slowly. She didn't open her eyes, she wasn't ready to yet.
An arm still supportive about her back, his other hand rose, the tips of his fingers gently tracing down the edge of her face.
-I'm here, love. I'm here for you.-
"I promise," he said softly.
He gently linked his hand with one of hers. Gently squeezed her hand, kissing her forehead.
The back of his head ached sharply, but he ignored it the best he could.
He was told aches and pains were common after his sort of trauma.
Ha. If they only knew..
The..
Xaver quickly left the train of absent thought, focusing on Ginny, watching her eyes, eagerly, almost impatiently, waiting for them to open.
(dang sorry I haven't replied in a few days, completely slipped my mind)
Lavy kneeled down in front of Ginny and Xaver.
(There now I wrote myself back in just in case I have something of intrest to say, cause right now I'm blank)
((It's okay to be blank, but I've been trying to include peoples in more RPs. Haha)
Ginny did open her eyes and looked at him. She felt Lavy beside her and turned her head, smiling slightly. Then she looked back at Xaver, her eyes looking over his face, checking on him, looking into his eyes before she smiled a little.
She laid in his arms for another moment, enjoying the feeling, before she gave him a pretend look.
"I'm not three years old, you know. I can sit up by myself." She said, even though she liked the feel of his arms around her.
Sarah was sitting in her table drinking a butterbeer when a man she did not know walked up to the teachers table.
"Wonder who that is. I'll have to ask them later." Sarah then started to draw a picture of this stange person. Before she was done though it turned out to be that whole table. She decided that it was ok and would ask later. She then went back to her drink.
(lol, it's ok. I do that all the time - :P) ;D
Xaver allowed the wash of relief over him when she opened her eyes, smiling softly. He followed her gaze to Lavy, grinned in greeting at her, then looked back at Ginny.
"I don't care."
He wrapped his arms tight around her and cuddled her close for just a moment longer, beaming, then he gently stood, still holding her, then bent down, setting her upon the seat, his coat still over her. He wore a black, long-sleeved shirt, and a dark shade of jeans. He drew looks, admittedly, but he couldn't even tell. (He never noticed anyway.) Overjoyed, he could barely manage to pull up a stool without falling over.
Xaver sat down with a sharp sigh, wincing slightly, then simply smiling again, planting his elbows on the table. He looked around the room, as if in awe, watching the girl sketching for a moment, then he glanced at Lavy, then at Ginny, grinning.
Gonny flushed slightly and looked down.
"Sorry about that you guys." She said softly. "I didn't mean to do that."
That much was obvious. But she had been weak, then seeing Xaver had brought such a shock to her system her body had two choices. Either shut down, or explode. And since the second was bound to be messy, her mind decided on the first.
She looked up, around the room, relieved few had noticed her. Her eyes went back to Xaver's face and she looked him over, still unable to beleive he was real.
"I wouldn't think you would."
He smiled slightly, then shook his head.
"You know I never could mind catching you. Especially if it's my fault. I'm sorry I scared you. I was half out of my mind with joy.."
Xaver winked at her, and turned away only for a moment to order and take a warm butterbeer from the passing waiter. He looked at the bottle for a moment, then set it on the table. Just watching it. Uncertain, almost.
He looked up over the bottle at Ginny, the smile rising once again on his lips.
"I've missed you," he said softly.
She smiled softly.
~I've missed you too.~ She said in his head. She was waiting to talk to him until the school day was over. Then they could talk all they wanted.
Xaver smiled, and then nodded, knowing her thoughts, and understanding. He was just so eager to talk to her again! He hadn't felt so giddy.. in he didn't know how long.
A sudden thought stirred, and he paused, thinking for a moment, then looked at the girls.
"I have a prior event to attend, regretfully... "
He looked like he suddenly hated himself. Or at least, hated his scheduling. But he shook it off.
Abruptly he rose.
Xaver smiled warmly at Ginny, took her hand, and kissed the top of it. He nodded to Lavy.
"It has been a pleasure. I will be in touch."
He tapped his head.
"And soon as possible, with you again. I must go.."
He gave them a departing smile, then started away, casting a final glance at them. Leaving his coat blanketed over Ginny.
Meeting Ginny's eyes.
-Love you,- he sent softly.
Then he was gone, disappearing into the crowd outdoors.
Ginny watched him leave, happy he had left his coat. It gave him an excuse to come back.
She looked at her friends.
"You shoulda told me he was behind me." She said, pretending to scold them.
Lavy shrugged. 'Sorry, I wasn't really paying attention to him. And besides," she said putting her hands on her hips, "It's not my job to know who's behind you." Lavy shook her head and sat down smiling. "So are you feeling better are your little epidsode?"
(yep same here, sometimes you do not now how the hell you can get back into a RP when it has gone on for pages lol)
Pig looked at Ginny and sighed
" I knew something was wrong, sometimes you have to let people help you know"
Sarah was sitting there looking at the time wondering when they were going back. She never listened to that part of the chats that they were given.
"Madam Brown or Professor's would you mind telling me what time we go back. I sort of forgot and did not want to get left here." Sarah said as she walked up to the table she hated the fact that she had very few kids her age to ask these questions to.
(Humm. I was kinda waiting to reply after a little time had passed in the RP, but since I don't want the thread to die, I guess I'll reply.. :P )
The meeting took less time than Xaver had expected. A lot less time, actually. To be accurate, what normally took him an hour or three took only a half hour. He was pleasantly surprised when things wrapped up, and he transported himself quickly back into Hogsmeade with an almost hyper aura. Almost. He was too d**n tired to act out the excitedness that played in both his thoughts, and heart.
He appeared at the entrance of Knockturn Alley, and just after a step or two, he had to pause. Putting a hand out against the wall and leaning on it for support, he fought the hot bile rising in his throat from spilling out of his mouth. He was nauscous. Light headed, and dizzy.
He felt sick.
Xaver coughed again, the sound still unfamiliar to his own ears, and spat at the ground, frowning after. He was spitting up blood.
It was a good thing, he noted to himself, that he had worn a longsleeve, black sweater. It was warm. And it covered various wounds..
He shook his head and slowly pushed away from the wall, walking down the street. He paused at a candy shop, entering the sweet-filled botique.
-Just curious,- he sent to Ginny, Lavy, and Pig. And the student he could mentally sense talking to them, as well. -What kind of candies do you like?-
((OOC: Sorry guys. Had a busy end of the week, then my weekend was wild, no time at all to get online. Haha, sorry about that everyone.))
Ginny smiled at the girl who had walked up to them. Truth be told, she still wasn't great, but she had just had a slight adreniline rush, so she was okay for the time being.
"You can stay with us, and go back when we do, if you like." She told the student.
~Why?~
~Yeah that's a kind of random question Xaver~ Lavy sent to him
( ;D )
Xaver gave a chuckle mentally.
-Just answer the question, please,- he sent, in an amused tone. Though even mentally, his voice was laced with tiredness.
Xaver wandered through the aisles, eying all types and flavors of various sorts of things, not finding any personally attractive, himself, but he knew very well, it was only because he felt more than terribly sick. He smiled, though.
Pig smiled finding Xaver's odd question amusing ~ Well personal I'm not fussy i like all types of candy, but i do find i have a soft spot for chocolate~
~Most girls do.~ Ginny smiled outwardly, knowing this was parly true. ~I have to agree with Pig.~ She sent to Xaver, shaking her head. She looked at the others and shrugged.
"Anyway, we've about an hour or so before everyone starts heading back up to the school for dinner."
"So we have one hour to create some mischief. Not nearly enough time."
~Yeah chocolate sounds right~
Xaver nodded and smiled to himself, already stopped in the thickly loaded chocolate isle. He had heard about that quite a few times, actually - it was interesting to him. Every woman he knew (and had asked), simply loved, or at least liked, chocolate. Must be in the fancy wrappers, or in their genes or something.
He shook his head. Xaver knew that was a mystery he would probably never solve.
It didn't bother him much.
He exited the store in a matter of minutes, clad anew with three fresh and dazzling, very nice looking bags, almost overloaded with their own many various chocolates.
The first thing he noted, was that the temperature had dropped another good amount of notches in temperature. Xaver's home environment was colder to almost an extreme usually, but still not well at all, he hadn't gotten long into the process of becoming regulated to what he had known, and his health was still at rock bottom. He had just gotten better at hiding it..
Xaver entered the Three BroomSticks again, spotting the girls, and moving over to them. Though slower, his movements cautious - wary. Tired.
He smiled at the three of them and handed them each a bag, filled to the brim with various chocolates. Most weren't from the shop - a few weren't even from that realm. Xaver had made a quick trip before he had returned. Each bag was unique, and the candies seemed to all suit the girls' individual personalities. Selected carefully, they would all taste as if the best ever to each of them. Good selection.
Whether the perfect matches were luck, or Xaver's own good intuition, was unclear, but it didn't matter.
Xaver smiled at all of them warmly, gave a small shrug, and almost slowly, lowered into the seat beside Ginny, letting out a low sigh as he did. He felt dizzy again, but he tried to hide it. He was never one to get sick, so he tried to ignore it.
The doctors had said to keep everything calm, and not be active at all.
Well. He had thought, screw that.
He couldn't afford to rest. He couldn't afford to take time to get better. What was wrong, anyway?
He was told it was side effects. A coma did that to people.
But no, not him. Things shouldn't have been this bad because of a stupid coma.
But maybe that was the reason he couldn't remember most of the causes of various thick, heavy fresh scars. Deep, stitched wounds. Cracked bones, broken bones. A bruised body.
Oh, well.
Xaver turned his head, folding his hands upon the table, and looked at Ginny. He smiled at her, pushing away his thoughts.
He had missed her.
Pig smiled warmly at Xaver and thanked him just before she popped a chocolate into her mouth.
" O my god these are Delicious where did you get them from?" Pig asked
Xaver smiled at her.
"Some I just brought back from my birth realm. Some from the candy store just over there," he replied, nodding toward the window. He looked at the wrapper.
"That one came from home."
Lavy pulled out a pieice of choclate form the top of the bag. She smiled at the memory it gave her. "Thank you, sir." she said standing up and bowing, in a very uncharacteristic manner. She never ceased to amaze.
"I'm off." she said turning to leave. "I'll catch up with you later." she said and as she left the bag on the table disappered.
Ginny smiled at Xaver as he sat down and tapped her bag, vanishing it to her room at the castle. She nodded good-bye to Lavy and smiled at Pig.
"Chocolate is always good."
((Occ:once again, another busy weekend!))
Xaver smiled and nodded goodbye to Lavy, then looked at Ginny as she spoke.
"I hope so," he commented lightly.
He found himself smiling again, though he didn't really know why. He didn't mind it. He hadn't smiled in so long...
He was only beginning to remember as to why. Memories kept flooding back, every now and then, unexpectedly. Months in a coma. Amnesia. Wounds he couldn't explain away.
Xaver closed his eyes, suddenly nauseous, slouched in his chair, and folded his arms over his stomach, wincing slight, memories bashing his thoughts. He felt slushy-like. Like his insides were sloshing with eyevery movement. Though he had just showered a few hours ago, he felt unclean - stained. He felt tarnished, and sick, and more distinctly, unnerved. He wanted to know why. He wanted to remember every detail.
And it was killing him that he just couldn't.
A blinding flashback came before his closed eyes. He saw a flickering image of himself, pinned against a sodden, grimy wall, his wings pulled out completely at either side of him, rods puncturing thick muscle and feathers, pinning them against the wall. His body was hanging on what seemed to be an oversized fishhook, punctured through his back, and out his stomach. He could see himself, simply hooked and pinned there, like a ragdoll.
Xaver brushed the tenderly wrapped, painful injury that still remained about his abdomen with the tips of his fingers, and nearly threw up. Fighting it all down, instead, he opened his eyes, laying the side of his head upon the table, watching blankly, out the window, focusing on nothing.
(lol :) )
((No, really! Friday, I went to a football game and had my friends over for the night. Saturday I went to my boyfriends till late, and today was trick-or-treating, so me and him took my littlest sister out, then watched movies. I have fun on weekends!))
Ginny instinctivly placed her hand on his forhead, before remembering it wouldn't amount to much. She stroked his hair though.
"Maybe you should go to the castle and lay down." She told him in a low voice.
(lol! You weren't kidding :o :P You guys go trick-or-treating early?)
Xaver allowed his eyes to close when she set her hand on his forehead, the upset queasiness in his stomach finally subsiding. It was when she stroked his hair, and he could sense the gentility and care behind her actions, that he could finally see just how tightly he, himself was wound up. With bobbedwire.
Xaver opened his eyes and looked at her when she spoke. He half wanted to rise, for his relaxed position was sending annoyed spasms of pain through his body from his abdomen. But the comfort he was given through her touch overpowered anything, and he didn't move.
"I'll be OK," he said softly. "This happens a lot.."
He almost shook his head. No. He would not burden her with this. No way.
"I'm just a little sick."
He sat up and gave her a weak smile.
"Besides. I have had plenty of sleep."
He sat up straighter in his chair, relieving some of the stress on his abdomen.
"You really have no idea."
( lol some people do but its mostly the younger ones because hallween is on a weekday which means everyone is at school or at least over here they are so what better time to go then on the weekend, i once remember someone gave me jelly as they had no sweets left ;D)
Pig looked at Xaver examining him with her eyes as she was a healer she could tel how injured someone was and could normally help.
" If you come to the school i could fix you with a potion that would ease your sickness and pain"
((Our town has it on the Sunday closest to Halloween.))
"Let her take you up. Even if she can't help, you should lie still for a bit...." She said softly, watching him.
(whee I got home and there's replies ;D lol.
Everyone still has school and the usual everything - but we do tric-or-treating still, tomorrow night. =P Which means the next morning is going to be rotten.. eh. I might go see Saw 3.)
Xaver was still for a moment, tracing his fingers absently over his belly. He didn't wince. His face remained placent and emotionless.
Then he looked at them, smiled softly, but shook his head.
"Thank you both. But I'll be ok, really. Just some stuff I need to get used to.."
He paused, wondering if he should tell them. He again decided against it.
"Just some flashbacks. Memories I blacked out. I dunno."
He looked down.
The last flashback had given a small proof as to why he had blotted so many memories in his mind.
He shivered.
( lol, I'm to old for trick and treating that's why I'm going round my Friends house to watch scary films, Saw 3 looks wicked i am so going to see that as soon as i get money that is :()
Pig frown a little, all she wanted to do was help her Friend but she respected Xaver and if he was hiding something she knew it was for a good Reason.
((me too, but my boyfriend is older then me ba few months and he was t-or-ting. It was so cute when he took my sister up to the doors, haha.))
Ginny nodded, carefully, but decided to keep an eye on him. They had only an hour or so before it was time to go back to the castle, then she would have to help orginize the students before dinner, then clean up, and do her nightly rounds before she'd be able to meet him and talk to him.
(lol. Well, I'm going to babysit and take trick-or-treating some little kids for a friend, study for a huge Chemistry test tomorrow.. (just 'popped up' today >.<) and then I'm crashing.. Woo. Xaver sick.. :( Two weeks from the beginning of practice, too.. lol. wheeee)
Xaver smiled reassuringly at the both of them, thanking them silently for their acceptance of his oddities, and their care. It had been a while since he had felt thought of. It cheered him up some.
His stomach grumbled, but unlike habits of before, he remained quiet, and didn't go off on a rampage looking for food. He felt hungry. But felt too off to try to put any food down.
~Are the routines similar as to before?~ he questioned, curiously. Interested in what was going on with the both of them.
( poor u I'm lucky i don't go to school anymore but i do want to go uni next year tho)
Pig looked down at her mug and realised it was empty.
" You guys want another drink my treat?" she said smiling
Sarah had decided that it was about time that she started to return to school. She had some great pictures but they did not seem to fit her so she left them on a table so they would make some one else smile.
"Well I hope that who ever gets thought have the smae joy that I had drawling them." Sarah then turned and looked at it one last time before she turned and left the Three Broomstick to go back to hogwarts.
"No, I'm okay." Ginny told Pig, smiling slightly. She glanced at her wrist watch, then back at Pig.
"We have to get going soon." She said pointedly.
