Well, I never did finish my second story. But a quick summery would be that Nathan and Alisha save the day!
Anyhow, I decided that since school is ending for me for summer, I'd like to write the next one. It's going to be confusing (in the beginning) with the time changes, and a good friend of mine gets to enter! ((Yes, Xaver, you!!)) I used an RP between myself and Xaver for a lot of this one. I kept most of Xaver's posts how he typed them, because I would never be able to capture his persona so well in my own style.
(The charactor Xaver belongs to...well, Xaver! He is the only one allowed to post under that name and I thank him immensely for RPing with me.)
Now, please enjoy!

Prologue:
Ginny Weasly had one of the most confusing lives in the world. And she hated it. Ginny was almost 40 years old and her children were in jail, her marriage was falling apart, she was set to die soon. Unlike most people, Ginny knew when she would die. Her psychic powers gave her glimpses into the future as well as other people's minds.
Her powers also told her that the same thing was happening to her younger self. Time travel is confusing, and the easiest way to explain it would be to say that while we live in one time, our future (and past) selves are living and people are able to pass through the times. Ginny could tell she would die young in this time pocket, and she hated that thought.
As she sat alone by a window in her parents old house, she sighed. She knew there was only one way to save herself. And that involved interfering with time. To interfere with the original time flow is forbidden and the sentence is death. She didn't care at this point.
After all, she was supposed to die soon anyway.
"Great."
First Part. ((A/N: I'm only doing parts. Each part is a new post. There may be many parts, or very few. Deal with it!!))
15 year old Ginny walked quietly up to her newly made bedroom. Here in Romania, she and her husband lived in the palace during the summer. School had been let out, not that this mattered to Ginny. She had dropped out in the middle of this year, after Dumbledore's untimely death. The school still needed her, since she was the only one able to control the forest. But that was the only reason she was going back next year.
Ginny pushed open the door as she suppressed a yawn. Conan was somewhere, and at this moment, she didn't care. She just wanted to lie down. She flopped on her bed and almost screamed when someone chuckled.
"What the bloody hell?!" She yelled, rolling off the bed and taking a fighting stance. She paused, her mouth agape at the sight. Even with as tired as she was, she knew this woman. You can never mistake yourself.
"Hey, kid." The older Ginny said, smiling, "You look exhausted. Working like a dog?" She was slightly taller than the younger Ginny, her hair was longer, with gray in it. She looked worse for the wear.
"Um. Yeah. No offense, but normally, I don't visit myself for gossip. What's wrong?" Young Ginny knew something bad was about to happen, and she was suddenly wary. d**nit, didn't she ever catch a break?
"I hate to be the bearer of bad news-"
"No I don't."
"-but you need to be careful. Your husband is going to try and kill you."
Ginny's mouth dropped open again, and she was silent for a moment. Then she started laughing. "Conan? Oh my god! Have you ever met him? Jeeze, he can barely kill a fly!"
The older Ginny looked amused, "I said try, dear. He is incapable of killing you, but he's going to try. And while you battle him, your powers are going to backfire, and kill you."
"What?" Now the younger was serious. She was starting to recall all the strange things Conan had done these past few weeks. And she didn't doubt it. She never doubted herself. "But why?"
"Why does a dog bark?"
"Because it wants to be heard." Ginny said, realizing this was the answer to her own question. She sighed, realizing that Conan was unhappy and didn't know how to voice it.
"What should I do?" She asked her older self.
"Divorce him."
Second Part
Ginny did just that. Within days she had confronted him and gone back to her own time. Within months, she was in the process of divorcing him. There were problems. Ginny didn't care. She couldn't get past the fact that he had planned to kill her.
It was fall, almost winter actually. Ginny was back at Hogwarts, but she couldn't concentrate on anything. She was going crazy. She spent much of her time in the forest these days. Today was no exception. Ginny lay on her back in the dead leaves. Her arms were behind her head and her eyes were open. She watched the red, orange and yellow leaves that still clung to the trees above her. Leaves fell around her when the wind blew, but never on her. She heard footsteps within a few moments.
Xaver approached where Ginny lay, his hands casually jammed into his pockets, his black jeans, shoes, and red shirt faded, but otherwise clean, his black hair spiked in a loose manner. His usually straight shoulders were slouched a bit, his white skin a few shades paler than usual, his eyes unfocused as he walked about in his reverie of thought. Ginny knew Xaver mostly because they had the same friends.
Xaver walked blindly on, until he managed to trip over Ginny and fall flat on his stomach. He landed hard, a sharp ache reverberating throughout his body, coming out in a grumbled murmur of exasperation. He rolled over and freed himself from his own tangle of limbs, sitting up quickly, with a near bemused expression, traced in apology.
"Sorry," he said. Ginny blinked, then her hand went to her side, where his foot had landed before he tripped. Talk about delayed reactions. She rubbed her side and sat up, blinking.
"Ow." She said, shaking her head then looking at him, "It's alright, I guess. You didn't mean to." She smiled, somewhat happy to talk to someone. Lately she had been hiding from everyone, "What's up, Xaver?"
He gave an apologetic, lopsided smile, running a hand through his spiked black hair, absently rubbing his neck. Ginny watched him, thinking he was kinda cute. He shifted uncomfortably, and met Ginny's eyes, "Erm.. Ginny.. I was looking for you. You know how to run a country, right?" He shifted again, watching her.
"Yes, I know." She said, nodding. She stopped smiling though, suddenly reminded of her unpleasantness.
"Erruh..." He started. Ginny smiled slightly, as that was a noise that always made her smile. The smile left as quickly as it had come though, "You think you can help me some, in the next day, or three? I've got this coronation test...thing, that I have no idea of how to pass. I know it's weird, I shouldn't be asking you this...Death only knows you don't know me enough. You'd probably hate me if you did. Erruh. I shouldn't be asking you. Sorry..." He rose, raked a hand through his short spiky hair, and shifted uncomfortably.
She watched him for a second before standing and smiling. He really was quit attractive. "I know enough to know I don't hate you." She said, nodding, "I'll help."
Xaver stared at her, and Ginny almost burst out laughing.
"Really?"
"Sure, I got nothing better to do." She said, nodding.
Xaver grinned a bit. Ginny was amazed with his smile, "I'm sure you probably have two hands full of more important things. I thank you greatly Milady." He bowed slightly, surprising her.
"Not really. Mainly a divorce case and helping to run the school." She said, a bit flustered.
"Yeah," he said sarcastically, but in a friendly way, "just a few things, no bother."
"The school is no problem, and as long as you don't try to find me after one of the meetings for the divorce, it'll be no problem." She said, nodding. The divorce was hard on her, and always left her with mixed moods. Ginny had no clue she was portraying her thoughts loudly. Xaver winced slightly, nodding. He didn't mean to read her thoughts; it just happened.
"Sorry," he said, knowing she would have noticed him listening to her thoughts, "And sorry for the aftereffects of the divorce issue. If it is not too much to ask...who's divorce is it, Milady?"
She flushed, slightly. She hadn't meant to mention her divorce. "Mine. And stop calling me a lady."
"Oh. Uh.. Sorry." Xaver shifted uncomfortably, "Err right. What do I call you then, M- ... Ginny.."
"Just Ginny. And don't feel bad. I'm still a Queen, but only once a month." She smiled, obviously fake. She was still upset from it all.
"Right. Ginny." He watched her, picking up on the falseness of her smile. His own smile plummeted. "I'm sorry, still. Err, who are you getting divorced from?"
Third Part ((Sorry about all the parts.))
"Conan Sulai." She pushed a strand of her red hair behind her ear. It was loose today, and bothered her slightly when it got into her face. "And don't be sorry. It's not your fault." 'Yeah, you didn't plan to kill me....' she thought softly to herself.
"The guy you've been hanging out with a lot? Ooohh..." Xaver frowned, a lot of things connecting. His expression turned a little sad, "What will happen, then, to your country?"
"That's part of the case. We have to compromise about it." She sighed. "Of course, we also have to do a lot of time jumping."
"I see," He shook his head, "Time travel is confusing, but I get you. So you and Mr.Sulai, are getting divorced. Are you alright?.." He searched her eyes, genuinely concerned. He didn't dare ask why they were getting divorced. That was where he drew the line, and knew his business would stay away.
"Alright?" She asked, seeming to not comprehend the word. Ginny was amazed, slightly. This was the longest conversation she had held with Xaver, and she was getting more comfortable with him by the second.
"As in being satisfactory or in satisfactory condition. How are you holding up, Gin?" He watched her with a soft gaze, a bit apprehensive at the informal name he had used, but feeling it was placed right. He seemed to hope she wouldn't bash him over the head with anything. The thought never crossed her mind. In fact, it felt normal for him to use this name.
"I guess okay. I don't know. I don't have much to compare it to." She muttered, wrapping her arms around herself. She was a bit uncomfortable, but not because of him. It was because she could never talk about herself much.
"Well, because you obviously never take enough time for yourself, I believe you. You're strong, Ginny, but you shouldn't have to always be showing it, you know. There are people here for you, you know. In case you would want to explain a bit more thoroughly." Xaver wanted to comfort her, but he really didn't know how.
"I know there's people. But, they have there own problems, Xaver, and I don't want to burden them with mine. Which, I guess, is the exact reason I'm divorcing Conan." She said, looking down. There was some truth to that last statement. Ginny had avoided Conan so that her problems wouldn't sit on his shoulders and he had assumed many reasons for this.
"Well, then tell me. I mean I know that I'm probably not the person you'd want to define as one of your friends, but hey, your burdens will never worsen mine. And I'd like to hear them, whenever you feel like telling me." Xaver watched her and Ginny felt his gaze.
She looked at him, blinking, "Why couldn't I define you as a friend?" She asked, softly.
"People usually find it wiser not to," he said, shrugging. "I can be a hassle, you know." He almost grinned. Ginny doubted it.
"You've heard of Kiara? Of Lavender, of Max? They are my friends." She said, watching him. Kiara, Lavander, and Max had many problems, most of which weren't their fault. But they were Ginny's closest friends.
"I might have heard of them. I don't doubt you're real close. Just saying, it would never bother me if you unloaded once in a while." He smiled at her, spinning a black feather around his fingers.
"My point is you couldn't be much more of a hassle then any of them. And friends are not hassles." She added, losing her sad demeanor and smiling a bit.
"You might be surprised. Might not. You never know." He flicked the feather, and it spiraled through the air, downward, then hit the earth like a splash of water, dissolving to shadow. "I am," he said to no one in particular.
She frowned at him, and for some reason knew this wasn't true. "Are not." She said, stubbornly. He returned her frown.
"Are too."
"Are not, and if you contradict me again, you'll have to prove it."
"I'll say 'Are Too', and prove it by doing that. Contradicting you is providing example of hassle." He chuckled softly, and nudged her with his elbow.
Ginny raised her eyebrows, impressed, before she grinned, mischievously. "Brat!" She said, suddenly tackling him. Xaver had not been expecting her to tackle him, and he fell over easily, a bemused expression on his face. He grabbed her arms and pinned her down, grinning.
"Monkey!"
"Don't make me hurt you!"
"Ah, bash me woman, torture me to threads may you, you will never win!" Xaver grinned, and didn't let go.
"Physical strength is what you use! Cheater! Naturally your strong then I am." She protested, still struggling.
"Naturally and supernaturally," he said in her ear, grinning like mad. "Not cheating, just physically graced. But not graceful." He laughed, and tugged a strand of her soft hair. Ginny felt a jolt in her stomach, but ignored it.
"Hey!" She said, laughing now, "That's not fair!"
"Fairness is a privilege!" He grinned, but slipped slightly, falling back to the ground. "Like I said. No graceo."
She laughed. "No...novio?" she said slowly. Suddenly she laughed, "Don't use Spanish! I'm not very good!"
"I wasn't! I was just using something that rhymed!" Xaver grinned, tugging her hair again. Ginny once again felt the jolt, this time when he grinned. "But if it made you laugh, that's great."
She smiled at him, though. "Thank you, Xaver," she said. Briefly, she let her smile light up her eyes. Xaver smiled and nodded, simply staring at her. He liked it when she smiled. Her smile was unusual, in the way it was expressed in a chain reaction over her features. It was rare, it seemed, and only happened when she meant it. Her smile alit her eyes in a very stunning way. It was not too often you saw beauty anymore.
"Yup," he said, letting go of her hands, and freeing the captured Ginny. He smiled at her, and tugged her hair again. Ginny realized he did it often, however, she didn't mind.
She kissed him on the cheek and stood again, "Seriously, thanks. Now, what can I do to help you with your test?"
((I love the story just like I love Kiara's and your other one~the one titled a small story~. Please continue ;D ))

POST MORE!
I loved this topic, truly. Keep going! =P
((Thanks Cho. And I'm glad you like it Xaver! I thought you might!))
Fourth Part
Xaver coughed, the exhilarated feeling he had felt just a moment before turning upside down, and socking him in the stomach. He rose, his smiles fading. It was obvious he had forgotten about the test. Everyone gets bliss in different ways.
He sighed, his tones lower, and thought about it for a moment, "The test. Right," He shifted uncomfortably, but continued to focus. Amazingly enough.
"Well, most of it I have down.." he mumbled a few things, though they were incomprehensible. Ginny had to lean forward to hear him better.
".. I can dance, though not very well," he flushed a bit at this, "but what I need help with, is some magic stuff. I figured you're the best here, so.." Ginny nodded.
"Not the best with magic, but probably the best teacher." She said, laughingly, "Cheer up, this will be fun. And the more you worry about the test, the more you'll hate it, and the more likely you'll be to fail."
She put a hand on his shoulder and smiled, "Seriously. Anyway, is there anything specific?"
"Either way, one of the best teachers out there," Xaver said seriously. He glanced at her hand and smiled, a warm relief sparking in his eyes. "Yeah. Barriers. There are a few of my father's friends that might just be thinking of assassination. I wouldn't want some unfortunate thing happening..."
"Ok." Ginny thought for a moment then looked at him, "Do you have any telekinesis at all?" She said, asking an extremely stupid question.
He grinned, trying to make light of the situation, "No, I've just been talking to you, and mentally, out of sheer luck."
"Yeah. I'm just horrible with barriers. Well, physical barriers. I can keep the darkest things like my father out of my mind, but at times, when someone wants to hit me with a literal 2by4, I'm screwed." He shrugged.
Ginny nodded, "You can make physical barriers with your mind sometimes, but you have to have the right amount of control over everything. I only manage to do it when I'm very angry or scared. A lot of making barriers has to do with air power too."
Xaver nodded, listening closely to her as he always did, his brow furrowed in concentration. "So the barrier when you use it is easier to put up with emotion?" he asked, "and air power? You mean the air element?"
"Sorta. No one really understands all the powers of the mind. It's a complicated thing. But sometimes, when your emotional, it increases most of the power in your body and mind. For example, did you ever see someone 'swell' with anger? Same thing. Well, since it's hard to learn the air element, this increases the air element for you and your mind shapes it." Ginny said. She was close to confusing herself now. She didn't really care how any of it worked, all she knew was that she could do it when she needed to.
Fifth Part
"I see. So happiness and anger and fright, because they are strong emotions, could be used as strong weapons.." Xaver watched her with interest, then asked, "So do you mentally shape the barrier?"
"Sometimes," Ginny said, "and sometimes the air just hardens around you. It all depends on what's coming at you. But, be careful. I blacked out after the first time I tried it. Made the barrier, but it disappeared as soon as I lost consciousness."
Xaver nodded in understanding, "I've tried them before.. I'm just horrible."
"Well, if your willing, I can help you a bit." She said, smiling at him.
Xaver nodded again, "I'll take whatever you give."
"Then give me your hand. It's easier to combine powers if we touch some how." Ginny said, holding out her own. She smiled at Xaver, happy to help.
Xaver stared at her for a moment, then slowly reached out, and clasped her small hand within his. He continued to stare at her, half concentrating on the sudden current of power coursing through him. It was exhilarating somehow.
"Now what?" he said in a low tone.
"Well, close your eyes and let down your guard. Now, imagine a rock coming straight at your face, too fast to catch or duck. Quickly, compact the air in between you and the rock and harden it, almost like a invisible wall." She said, letting her hand rest.
"Wait, I have to let down my guard?" He stared at her, shifting his weight uncomfortably. "Erruh. Do I have to?.."
It sounded childish, but Xaver had never done that before. Which was a bit embarrassing. He didn't like the feeling. Ginny smiled, once again, letting it show in her eyes.
"Yes, you have to trust me."
"I... I do..." he said slowly. He watched her eyes, and brought a phantom smile back to his lips. He closed his eyes for a long moment, took a long breath, and shirked around a bit around in his own mind. His thoughts were foreign to him, and it took a lot of searching before he found a way to compress his thoughts.
He opened his eyes and met hers again, not having dropped his guard yet, "Do I really have to?"
"Yes. Trust me, Xaver. No one can jump into your mind, I've already placed a mental barrier around this entire area." She said softly, watching him struggle with himself. Ginny felt kind of nervous, and kept thinking about her hand touching his.
Xaver nodded, and with a sigh, flattened his mental barriers. He shivered slightly, but remained mute, focusing his energy. He imagined as she told him to, and a shell-like sheer of magic appeared over them both. Visible, though. He shook his head, but felt out the barrier completely, before dropping it.
"Visible is good, but you want to catch whoever off guard." She said, "Concentrate, Xaver." Ginny knew he could do this. Even some of the most idiotic students could master this with practice.
Xaver nodded, closed his eyes again, and concentrated a little harder, focusing. The barrier rose again, this time firmer, stronger, though it was still visible. He cursed lightly, though very quietly as not to offend her, though Ginny did hear, and tried again. The third try was the most secure, and to his pleasure, invisible. Ginny smiled, softly.
"Keep it there, and I'll slowly let go of your hand." She said softly. She didn't want to. She rather liked the feeling his hand gave her.
"Alright," He said quietly. He didn't want to, but he nodded, loosening his hold on her hand. Her hand was warm as his skin was usually cold. He braced himself, and secured the barrier more.
Ginny really didn't want to let go, but she let her hand slip until only their fingers touched. Without thinking, she let her hand stay there.
Xaver held the barrier, slowly amending with his mixed feelings, and securing his own stability bit by bit. Finally, he was holding the barrier all his own. The best of it was, he was comfortable with it. He held it for a bit longer, before slowly letting it drop and settle. He turned to look at her, wordless, noting that her fingers were still slightly touching his, and that there was a certain warmth spreading up his spine.
Ginny followed his gaze and blushed, before pulling her hand back. "Sorry." She murmured.
Xaver coughed, and flushed a deeper shade as her, though shaking his head."Don't be," he said softly. He straightened his shirt and dusted himself off, though it was not as smooth as his usual. Simply a back-up plan to prevent sheer embarrassment of random. That failed. He went a shade or so darker, and it was obvious, because he was very pale.
She blushed again and cleared her throat. "Um...is there anything else you need help with?" She asked, hesitantly.
"No.. not this moment. I've got to sit down for a minute or three..." Xaver simply sat, leaning back on his palms, sighing softly, closing his eyes. He tried to slow down a bit, stopping the insanity, and slowly building his mental stability up again, being sure to conceal and firmly lock away things he had forced into the darker spots of his mind. There were a lot of those. He opened his eyes once his stability had returned a bit, comfortable with allowing himself to slow down around her. He trusted that she wouldn't kick him while he was down, and trying to rebuild.
"Okay..." She said, thankful, since she wanted to sit for a moment. She leaned against a tree and slid to the ground. She began to wonder if she had left her newest book in her trunk at school or not.
Xaver noticed her relief, and he chuckled, dropping to his back with a thud. He stared upward, wincing slightly at the light as he did so, and closing his eyes. Ginny looked out into the forest, her eyes glazing slightly. Mentally, she was searching through her trunk for that book.
Xaver opened his eyes and watched her with peculiar interest, an eyebrow raising. "What are you thinking about?" he asked softly, not raising his head for it felt heavy at the moment, but he was highly interested.
Ginny's eyes returned to normal and she looked at him "Nothing, I was searching for something in my chest." She said.
"In your body, or in your wooden trunk in the school?" He raised an eyebrow, still not willing enough to move.
"School." She said, leaning her head against the tree.
"Ok." Xaver smiled slightly, then rose with a quiet groan. He went over to her and extended a hand in offering to help her up. "Allow me to walk you back to the common room? You're probably more tired than me."
Sixth Part
"Sure..." Ginny said, taking his hand and standing. Suddenly, though, a wave of pictures swept through her minds eye. Small children dying, adults crying, bad thing in general. Her eyes went wide, slightly, and she fell back against the tree. Xaver hadn't let her hand go, and he kneeled down next to her, not letting go, frowning.
"Are you alright?", he asked.
She blinked, then said very softly, "yes..."
"What happened?" Xaver questioned gently, unmoving. He watched her, concerned. She paused a moment, then shook her head.
"Nothing." She told him. She didn't want to burden anyone with her visions. They happened all the time, and were really more of a nuisance than anything.
He noticed her frown and his frown deepened. "Nothing is always something," he said softly. "Seriously, what's up?"
"Just a vision I didn't ask for. It's nothing." She said, trying to smile. Xaver nodded, but didn't press. For that, she was thankful.
"So you still want to go to the castle?" he asked.
"I don't care." Ginny said, standing straight again. Really, she didn't. She was now tired, and was beginning to get a headache. Xaver followed and stood as well, watching her still, smiles fading into tired remoteness.
"Well, alright then...," he mumbled. He looked toward the castle and started toward it, his head heavy, but lighter in a way. He paused to wait for her. Ginny walked beside him silent, watching the ground. She tried to keep her mind clear, because whenever she had an unwanted vision it knocked down her barrier.
Xaver watched her for a long moment, calculating, his frown deepening. Suddenly, yet slowly, he reached out and took her hand, through the connection, passing reassuring strength and an open tap to his powers to her. Like she had helped him, he opened his own magical source, and allowed her to reach it through him, so she could properly assert and secure herself. He only hoped it wasn't a stupid move, and he would get a shove or anything. He wasn't exactly full of balance right then.
The sudden connection surprised Ginny and she looked up, at him. "I couldn't take any power from you..." She said softly. It wasn't that she couldn't, she didn't want to.
"I insist, Ginny," he whispered in return. "I won't have you struggling with anything I might be able to help. Please. There's years of pent up energy and magic stored within me. You can't do harm. It might help with me being so hyper all the time. Maybe you can fix my snotness." He smiled down at her, softly squeezing her hand.
"I..."she paused, "don't want to weaken you..."
"I could never force you into something you didn't want to do, but really, please let me help. I have more energy than I know what to do with. And I have a high motabolism, or so I've heard it to be called, with magical power. I'll regroup soon enough." Xaver smiled down at her, and chuckled again, keeping his tones low and gentle.
Ginny bit her lip, she hated asking for help, or even taking it. Not because she felt like she owed the person afterwards, but more because she felt guilty about it. "Xaver, your top nice for your own good..."
"I try. I fight to be. Sometimes it actually works out right that way." He winked, and leaned closer to her still walking, relaxing his barriers for the second time, and yet securing them up, so she was welcome to his mind and power, however bashful and hidden some thoughts were, and securing it so she would be safer while doing so. "Recoup, Ginny."
She stopped walking, and carefully took the tiniest amount of power she could. He did, after all, insist. And she needed the extra strength to rebuild her block. Before she let go of his hand, though, she paused, then did something completely impulsive and out of character for her.
Ginny leaned forward and kissed Xaver, lightly on the lips, then let go of his hand and took a step back, "Thank you," she said, before looking away.
Xaver nodded, watching her. He was not expecting it, and was pleasantly surprised when he felt her lips meet his. The kiss was brief, and left him longing for the shortened, but exhilarating feeling. He stared at her for a moment, before a warm smile cracked and spread throughout him, "You are welcome. Literally. Whenever."
Ginny nodded, hoping she hadn't been wrong to do that. She kept her gaze to the side, away from him, and didn't see his smile. She had liked the feeling as well, no, she had loved it. He was a contrast to her in many ways, and that seemed to make some kind of reaction. She had no clue, but whatever the reaction was, she wanted more. She didn't dare do it again though.
Xaver gently hooked his finger under her chin, looking into her eyes for a long moment. Ginny looked back, wondering briefly if he would tell her to not do that again. He smiled slightly, then returned her kiss with one of his own, almost sighing aloud as his lips met hers. That electricity revved up through them, and almost numbed his brain enough that he almost didn't pull away, slowly and softly.
He had wanted that. But like he had said earlier, he didn't ever want to force her. He somehow knew she was too fiery and stubborn to be forced anyway, but he respected her. She stared at him nervously, but happily. She loved that feeling.
"Um...guess we should get back..."she said, not moving to do as she said, but still looking at him. As strange as it was, she was practically immobile from slight shock. Xaver nodded, smiling down at her.
"Yeah, alright. It seems to be getting late." He gently squeezed her hand, of which he had taken hold of moments ago, forcefully turning and taking a small step toward the castle, as was her wish.

Seventh Part
((A/N: Xaver's sister is an important part. Just so's y'all know, Kylie belongs to Xaver. Only he can do anything with her character. This is all from another RP.))
Ginny had been walking through Hogsmead for the past few hours. Ever since that day in the forest, a few days ago, she'd been a bit scatterbrained. She had only meant to stop by one store, but had ended up wandering around. She still wanted to know why she had been so impulsive that day.
Besides that, Conan was stirring up trouble. He didn't want to agree on anything. And it was driving Ginny crazy. She sighed and pushed her hair out of her face. As she did so, she glanced up the street, catching a glimpse of Xaver picking up a little girl.
Ginny appeared in front of Xaver and the little girl. She blinked, then smiled. It was more than obvious that this cute child was Xaver's sister. The child was young, bundled in thick jean pants, and a big, bulky, fluffy looking coat, her hands covered with what looked like three sets of wool mittens, just as many socks over her small feet beneath her floppy, but child-approved pink shoes. Long, wavy black hair tumbled down over the many blacks and pinks and blues and greens, and so on, and blue eyes, a reflection of his, but not nearly as dark, looked to Xaver. She would have looked like a normal, 'adorable' little girl, if it had not been for the small black, bluish wings (her frame was still small, so her wings were still small, though big to her) sprouted from her back; a comfortable presence behind her, but an odd one to onlookers.
"Hey." Ginny said, nodding to Xaver. She looked at the small girl, smiling still, "Hi," she said.
"Hey Ginny." Lavy said walking from behind Xaver so that she could see his face. Ginny smiled and nodded at Lavy as she walked by. Then she looked back at the little girl and Xaver again.
"When did you find your brother...Kylie?" Ginny asked, looking at the smaller one, smiling. She knew she wasn't wrong, after all, she was a psychic. She had also guess the name, remembering hearing about her.
"M'lady," Xaver replied, his voice low. He didn't really expect Kylie to reply, but she did. It cheered him up a bit, and that was evident.
"I founded him just a second ago," she said, turning her head to look at Ginny, just for a moment, and finding the rare amount of trust Xaver had for her appealing. She kept looking at Ginny. "I flew here all the way from home. I hope nobody had followed I."
"Me," Xaver corrected gently, and she nodded.
"Me," she repeated.
Xaver suddenly frowned, and grew a shade paler. He had been so worked up over seeing her, he had forgotten the added danger of someone seeing the little princess and following her. He felt like cracking a stone wall over his head. And what would they say about her flying?
-I need to get her out of here. It's not safe for her..- Xaver sent to Ginny, telepathically.
-Do you need help?- Ginny asked him back while aloud she spoke to Kylie, "By yourself? Didn't that tier you at all?"
-I'm taking her to Hogwarts. She knows a lot about magic. Maybe it will be ok, for a temporary place for her to stay. McGonagall has already accepted her.. knowing about the situation.- Xaver's voice rang quietly in Ginny's mind.
Kylie shook her head, smiling, playing with a flappy ear built into the hood of her fluffy coat. "Just a little," she said honestly. "But only because I haven't been flying as much as I used to, when 'aver and Xences were around, and Father was alive. I've been treated like a baby, missus. It was so unfair. But I'm back with brother, now. Yep, I'm back with brother."
Ginny smiled at the cheerful little girl, "I'm sure your brother loves having you here to. By the way, no need to call me missus. I'm Ginny."
"He does," Xaver said, smiling a bit, continuing toward the castle, slowly at first, to not be rude, but to remind of urgency. Kylie smiled at Ginny, holding tighter to Xaver's shoulder, chewing on a black, silk looking pool of liquidy candy Xaver handed her. She smacked her lips, sucking her thumb to get the black liquid candy off.
"Missus Lady Ginny." She laughed.
"Now, not that either. Ginny is fine." She said, half scolding the child. All the while she kept her eyes out. If Xaver was concerned, then she was a bit as well. A certain something lingering in a small slit, between two shops. Xaver flicked a hand, his eyes aflame with a deadly glow, and a black haze erupted from his fingers, sliding unceremoniously through the crowd to the dark area. The little place grew suddenly white as pure snow, then darker than ever before, the shadows themselves dripping like black liquid, the deepest blacks dripping slowly, leaving the usual shadow, of which was now, unoccupied.
Kylie, noticing none of this, because though her senses were sharp, she was in no way as in-tune as Ginny or Xaver, still sucked at her thumb, where the dark candy had settled for her to slowly eat. "Laady Ginny," she said seriously, drawing out 'lady', with a certain air of importance.
-What was that?- Ginny asked Xaver, her mind calm. "No, what makes you think I'm a lady?" She asked Kylie, still laughing at the absurd idea.
-Someone following us,- Xaver replied, though he was a bit calmer now. Once you threatened to incinerate someone, calmness just seems to happen. -I think we'll be fine here for a little bit of time now. Enough to get Kylie into safer headquarters.-
"Bucause," Kylie said, smacking her lips. "You are older than me. And you look like a lady. And bucause," she sucked for a moment on the candy on her thumb, "you are the queens of 'Omaineeat.
"Omaineet?" Try hard as she could, Ginny didn't understand the girls word, "and isn't your brother older then me?" She raised an eyebrow at Kylie.
Xaver avoided a group of giggling witches, watching straight ahead, his mind not really near their conversation.
"Well ya," Kylie said, sucking her thumb still, eyes never leaving Ginny though. She had taken a liking to Ginny. She didn't treat her like a baby. " 'aver is a twin brother to Xences. But Xences was bornded second. Xences likes dark stuffs more, and I think he left to Hell again. He's a bad boy. 'aver and Xences are four thousands and three in our years, but only seventeen in body here. I don't know how to esplain it, Lady Ginny. I don't know if he would be older then you, but in our years I thinks he is."
She absently chewed her candy, then tried again at the word, " 'Omainia?"
"In our years, yes he's older then me. And you mean 'Romania'?" Ginny said, nodding. She smiled at Kylie, the kid was a cutie, and very well behaved. She was interesting, and as sweet as the candy she was eating.
Kylie nodded, "Ya! 'Omania! See? That's another reason I calls you 'lady'. You're a queen."
Xaver shifted Kylie slightly at his side. Not that he was tired; he was strong, and barely felt her weight at all. No, she was slipping, and he didn't want her to be uncomfortable. He nodded at Ginny and turned to take the path through the forest, then smiled at Kylie, she smiled back, and then his attention was back to everywhere else.
"Anyways," Kylie said, resting an elbow on Xaver's shoulder. She smacked her lips and grinned, "Some other families like to play by all the ruleses, and if we had been in a different family, I guess that I would have had to calls 'aver and Xences Lords. But 'aver never liked that stuffs, and told me not to. He said it wasn't right. Father always had me call him lord though. And I'm a princess. I get called lady a lots by people who work for us in the castle. I only was able to get away from those picky people and our weird home when I went and followed 'aver to training. Only 'aver would let me come with him."
She waved her hand, unusually comfortable with talking to Ginny. "Xaver would probably not like me talking so much about out home, but I bet he talks about it lots, right?"
"Actually, Xaver hasn't spoken much about it. But I'm sure he'd tell me if the time was right." She smiled, then telepathically asked, -Xences?-
Xaver stopped midstride, blinking, staring at Ginny. Kylie looked back and forth from him to Ginny, sucking on her thumb, confused.
"What about Xences?" he questioned aloud, his tone low and monotonous. He continued to walk, but continued to stare at Ginny. Kylie, tucked her head into his shoulder, but turned so she could see Ginny's face.
"Family?" She asked, smiling reassuringly at Kylie then looking at Xaver.A quick memory of kissing him passed through her mind, but she pushed it back. Now wasn't the time for that.
Xaver nodded. He stiffened slightly, but his voice softened as he replied to Ginny. "My twin brother," he said shortly. Ginny nodded, slightly.
Kylie nodded as well, "Yup, our brother. He's a bad boy."
Xaver raised an eyebrow down at her, and nodded, "In a way, she's perfectly right."
((please continue...I really think it was getting better every part...whose following them?))
Thank you, muches.
It's more important to think of who ordered whatever it was to follow them. than who/what was following.
I'll post more soon. I can't tonight, I'm going to the drive in.
Hmm thinking....thinking.....
Eighth Part
"I see." Ginny said, nodding. She looked back at Kylie and smiled then, "So, would you like your own room?"
"Room?" Kylie's tones grew excited. "What room?!" Xaver grinned slightly at Ginny, as they neared the castle grand doors.
"Of course a room, Kylie. Where else would you stay? I'd never forgive myself if I let you sleep outside." Ginny said, looking almost like a child herself. She was rather surprised at idea. She wouldn't ever make any one sleep outside, much less a child.
"I dunno. What will it be like? Will there be elveses and chocolate?" Kylie asked. Xaver stared at Kylie, then almost laughed, for she was so excited. He kicked open the grand doors, and entered. Ironic to his heritage, he was Gryffindor, so he headed up to the Gryffindor common room, entering, and finding it pleasing that there was no one else around. He set Kylie upon the couch, messed her hair slightly, and began to untie her right shoe, shaking his head as she shifted, clutched the pillow, and simply, fell asleep. He kneeled down, took off her shoe and set it on the floor next to him, then began to take off her many, many socks.
"Once she's down to one or two layers of clothing, she will be more comfortable in here," he explained softly.
Ginny nodded and knelt beside him, helping him, "So, where do you plan to have her sleep?"
"No idea. Is there room near you in the girls' dorm? She likes you. That is very unusual. She rarely ever says a word to anyone other than me. A good sign, I think. Maybe she's coming a bit out of her shell my father and brother so aptly created." He tried a smile over at her, and took off Kylie's beanie and four baseball caps, and three sets of ear-muffs.
Ginny smiled, "She's a cute girl, Xaver. Despite having people so dark around her she's so....light." She looked at Kylie, thinking, "You know what? She can have my room. I never sleep much anyway, and rarely use the room, plus they gave me my own since I'm not a student anymore."
"Yeah. She is. She's kept me alive." Xaver smiled slightly, then gently removed four fluffy coats from Kylie, careful of her wings, and when he neared setting the coats down, he hesitated, staring at Ginny. He wasn't used to her kind of generosity. It confused him. "Really?"
"Yeah. She can even decorate it however she wants. As long as I have a space to keep my trunk, she's fine." She said, not noticing his hesitation.
Xaver continued to stare at her, almost gaping, "Why would you do that?" He shook his head, setting Kylie's coats down on her shoes and other stuff. "And why do you keep helping me, when I don't really know what to offer in return?"
Ginny stopped and turned to him. She was on her knees, which meant she had to turn at the waist, "Who said you had to offer anything in return?"
Xaver was still staring at her, "Who said helping me was a smart idea?"
"Who said it was a dumb idea?"
"Who said it wasn't?" he mumbled, picking up a blanket from the couch arm.
"Wait. Pick her up. We might as well take her up there now." Ginny said, stopping his hand that held the blanket.
Xaver grinned and nodded, reaching down with brotherly care, and picking Kylie up, holding her at his side, allowing her to tuck her head into the curve of his shoulder and neck. He mumbled a few kind words into her ear, picking out of her pocket, an entire handful of candy. He raised an eyebrow, glanced at Ginny, and shook his head. "She's addicted to sugar," he explained.
"Makes sense. Now wonder she's so sweet. " Ginny teased softly, standing and motioning for him to follow her to the girls dorm.
Xaver grinned slightly, and shook his head, following. He was a bit wary of the girls' dorm, but decided that Kylie's needs were more important. He almost tripped on a stair, and Kylie mumbled, "Silly dork." Xaver had to grin, and laughed aloud at this, shaking his head, still following Ginny.
"Smart girl, she is." Ginny giggled. The walked on, till about the middle of the tower when she stopped and tapped a door. The lock clicked and the door swung open. The room was slightly dusty, but brightly lit by a large window. The bed had the red and gold covers of Gryffindor along with the canopy. There was a bookcase, which looked at though it needed cleaned. The only thing that seemed to have ever been touched was the large chest in the corner.
Ginny walked to the bed and tapped it with her wand, extracting the dust and pulling back the covers.
Xaver grinned at her, then gently placed Kylie in the bed, ruffling the girl's hair. He pulled up the covers to her chin, and gently tucked the blankets at her side, smiling a glance over at Ginny, then watching Kylie sleep soundly, falling silent for a long moment before speaking.
"I could hug you," he said, facing Ginny with a wider grin, then exiting the room.
Ginny smiled and left the room, following Xaver. She left the door part way open, but not fully, "She should be safe. All of my worldly possessions are within that chest, and the entire room has so many protection spells, it's ridicules."
Xaver smiled, and hooked an arm around her shoulder, messing up her hair teasingly, "I don't doubt it." Xaver released her, smiled, and dropped into a chair, "Thank you."
"It's nothing. Besides, I like her." Ginny said, leaning against a wall and sliding down it to sit on the floor.
Xaver smiled over at her, rising from his chair and beginning to pace. Quickly, "She likes you too. She shows how much she likes someone by the amount and way she talks."
"So if she hadn't liked me she would have been quiet? Makes sense." Ginny said thoughtfully.
"Yup," he said, pacing still. "Defense mechanism. You would never hear a word from her where I came from, unless she was with me while I was training."
"I see, the less she spoke, the easier it is for people to over look her." Ginny said, tapping her fingers on the floor.
"No. The less it was my father, brother, and the castlepeople picked on her. And my father... my father was a brutal man." Xaver scowled at the ground, and continued to pace, his footfalls harder.
"And?" Ginny said, watching him pace. She knew there was more to the story, and thought it might be better for him if he got it out.
"And..." His scowl disappeared, and he looked up with a blank expression, staring at Ginny, meeting her eyes without discomfort.
-Why am I telling you this?-
"And.. my father had no qualms about hitting little girls around. It wasn't right. She was just a kid. Kids should be able to make a mistake or three. She fell completely mute to everyone except for me, until she saw you," He smiled a little, "You're the best thing to happen to her in a long time."
"Well, I agree, it wasn't right, and he must have been a brutal man. But I do know why your telling me. Because she trusts me enough to talk, and you trust her judgment." Ginny said, smiling back.
"Her judgment means a lot to me," Xaver agreed slowly, nodding, beginning to pace again. He thought it might have been a little more than that, but he didn't know how to word it. He watched her lips turn into a smile, and he calmed a little bit, his pacing a little less brutal.
Ginny nodded at him, her respect for him rising. Out of such respect, she had stayed out of his thoughts ever since he had picked up his sister, "Your going to get tired." She pointed out, "Or wear a hole in the floor, whichever comes first."
Xaver nodded, trying a grin, "I'm not tired though," he said stubbornly. "And a nice trench in here would be really homey."
BUMP ;D
love it so far
Ninth Part ((A/N: Some more pointless banter between the two. To understand their friendship, you need to understand how they get along, don't you?))
"Do I have to force you to sit down?" She asked, grinning back devilishly.
Xaver grinned back, a bit more demonically, "Try me, woman," he said, not disrespectfully of course. He didn't stop, keeping his eyes on her.
Ginny stood, watching him as well, still grinning, "Try? No, I'm sure I could get you on the floor at least."
"Then what? Beat me senseless? Try might you, Milady, you will not win," he teased gently. Xaver stepped slower, and more melodramatically, grinning
"I thought I told you not to call me that!" She said, laughing as she walked toward him. She didn't run, for she was sure he'd see her coming anyway.
"I thought I told you it was habit," he returned, a bit more stubbornly. He grinned a bit broader, his aura lifting slightly as she laughed, as he still paced, though watching her.
She walked till she stood in front of him, forcing him to stop walking. The toes of her sneakers touched the toes of his shoes and she smiled. Briefly, she heard her heart pounding, but she forced it to calm.
Xaver grinned slightly, and settled his hands on each of her arms near her shoulders, holding her firmly, but gently. He could feel her shoes against his, and his grin widened. He pushed her foot back with his, sliding her back across the floor, but not enough so that she would fall, then pushing her other foot back, walking still, and pushing her backwards with him.
She laughed, and planted her feet, focusing her energy to the floor so he couldn't mover her so easily. "Oh come on, your such a cheater." She said, still laughing.
Xaver chucked huskily. He struggled a bit, but managed to keep pushing, twirling her slightly as he ran out of floor to walk on, chuckling a little bit more, "Cheater, I am not, grasshopper."
"Do I look green to you?" She asked, smirking, still planning what to do.
Xaver continued to push her with his feet, his grin widening, "Nope. I'm pleased to say there is no green, Milady." He chuckled and grinned, noticing her smirk.
"Stop it!" She said, suddenly wrenching her arms from his grasp and placing one hand on his chest, pushing him backwards and to the side, making him land on a chair. She stood in front of him, smiling at this small victory.
Xaver fell into the chair, then adverted his weight so the chair tipped backward. He rolled backward to stand, staring at her with a soft grin on his face, "Stopped."
Ginny laughed and pulled the chair back to it's original position. His grin broadened, and he rounded the chair, tipping it back over with his elbow just to be stubborn.
"I like your laugh," he stated. "You should laugh more." Xaver firmly, but gently nudged her in the arm with his elbow.
"Thank you." She said, smiling and blushing slightly, "I should, but there isn't much to laugh about." She said.
"Well, laugh about things that aren't that funny. Make light of things that might not be so good. Just make sure to do it when I'm around." He smiled, tugged her hair, and pushed her foot back with his, teasing, before suddenly turning and crouching to pick up the chair he had simply decided to pick up again.
Ginny blinked, then smiled, "I'm gonna start putting my hair into a ponytail so you can't pull it." She said, smiling, teasing him. She hadn't had this much fun simply talking and laughing with anybody in a while. Most of her friends were long gone from Hogwarts, and the ones still around were often busy.
"I'll still tug it," Xaver growled stubbornly, teasingly, into her ear after he set back up the chair. "I will find a way," he quoted, chuckling.
"Hmm, well, I wouldn't cut it all off. I like my hair." She said, smiling.
"Don't cut it. I like it too. Besides, that would give me reason to find another way to bug you." He grinned, and again tugged her hair, but backed away slightly as to not invade her space.
She smiled, "Another way to bug me? Like how? So I can prevent that in the future." She said teasingly.
"Well, I haven't figured it out yet. But I'll be sure to tell you." He shook his head, and after a moment, a thoughtful expression crossed over his face, and he stared at her.
"What? Planning something already?" Ginny teased.
LOL....funny.....you guys seem like having a good time...not here though....
Tenth Part
Xaver grinned, and nudged her with his elbow, "No. Strangely, you have a bunch of Kylie's candy stuff on your shoulder." He tapped her, just above her collar. There was a small but noticeable pool of black, sweet smelling candy there, sure enough. He showed her his finger, now with sticky candy on it, then grinned deviously and tapped her nose, transferring the candy there.
"Snot." Ginny said, smiling. She snapped her fingers and instantly, her red shirt was replaced with a blue one. She smiled at him again.
"You missed a spot." He pointed to her nose, and grinned.
"You really are a snot!" She said, waving her hand over her face, making the candy vanish. She smiled, "Better?"
"Nope. You see, there are now two more spots." He gently poked her cheek. Her heart went into her throat, "There," he pointed out. He poked her bottom lip, she smiled, "And there." He chuckled, watching her still as he backed away, shaking his head, "You're lucky I pointed those out for you. Could have been fatal."
Ginny's hand flew to her cheek and she smiled as she realized he was messing with her. He made her laugh, always, "And why would it be fatal?" She asked, walking forward, not letting him get out of this.
"Because," he said, close enough that his nose was only an inch or so from hers. "I say so." He chuckled, and backed away, once again staring at her eyes, very curious.
"So anything you say goes, right?" She asked, jokingly.
"Not if you oppose it of course," he said honestly. He watched her closely still, then after a long moment he frowned, deep in curiosity, "What do you do for fun around here?"
"Me? I don't have fun." She said, suddenly turning and sitting in a chair, "Fun...I remember that. I used to like to run and play, fly and levitate, mess with peoples heads." She smiled slightly.
"Well...you've been able to mess with my head today," he said, winking. "Missing some levitation, running, any playing."
Under his command, she rose from the chair, simply floating in the air. He shrugged, and smiled. She turned to him.
"Your lucky I'm wearing jeans." She muttered, taking over the control of the levitation.
It took a moment, but Xaver met her control over the levitation, and gently, but forcefully pushed it aside, breaking all bonds to let her drop. He caught her easily, grinning, "I wouldn't have tried it if you weren't," he muttered back.
"Mind putting me down?" She asked, blushing slightly. She didn't really mind his arms holding her up, but she knew better than to say it.
"Technically, you are down. From there anyway." He chuckled, and gently set her to her feet, nudging her with an elbow, teasing, "But it's never a question if I mind or not." He smiled.
"What's that supposed to mean?" She asked.
"It means you are in control. You win." He bowed respectfully, raising with a half smile, though it faded after a moment into a concerned mask of surprise. Kylie was screaming.
Xaver and Ginny disappeared, reappearing in a quick flash next to Kylie's bed. She was huddled against a bedpost, her wings beating furiously, crying.
"What?" Xaver asked hurriedly, picking her up under the arms, and holding her close until she stilled slightly. Kylie pointed to her pillow, and squirmed.
"What is it?" Ginny asked, looking worriedly at Kylie. Kylie squirmed away from Xaver as he started toward the pillow, and wrapped her arms around Ginny's waist, sobbing. Xaver ripped through her pillows, and found the source before Kylie announced it.
"Spiduh!" Kylie sobbed softly.
Xaver picked up the spider an cupped it in his hand, setting it on the wall outside, and shutting the window. He didn't kill it. He wasn't like that. He didn't expect them to understand. "It won't get you now Kylie," he said gently, checking around to make sure there were no more spiders.
He approached them, and gently rested a hand on Kylie's shoulder, leaning in close to Ginny to whisper in her ear, "Sweet as candy, and terrible afraid of spiders."
Ginny smiled at Xaver and knelt down, putting her arms around Kylie, "Tell you what, Kylie. We'll clean this room, top to bottom and I'll tell the spiders to stay away." She said, smiling at her.
Kylie wrapped her arms around Ginny's neck and nodded, drooping tiredly, "No more spiduh. I don't like them.."
Xaver patted Kylie's head, and smiled at them both, an odd expression at his eyes. Kylie was finally liking another. It was relaxing in a sense.
Ginny stood, picking up the small child, letting her head rest for a moment before she moved back to the bed. She laid her down, soflty so as not to wake her.
Xaver helped tuck Kylie's feet back under the covers, and covered her up again, smiling at Ginny over his shoulder. He made sure Kylie was asleep before straightening, glancing back and forth between them both.
Ginny smiled at the girl, then looked back at Xaver, "What?" She asked, seeing him looking at the two of them.
He crossed his arms with a low chuckle, leaning the back of his head against the wall, gently sighing, "You've amazed me again," he said quietly.
He shook his head, glanced at Kylie and seemed to listen to her steady breathing for a moment, before shaking his head again, exiting the silent room slowly, a small smile on his face.
Ginny looked once more at Kylie and followed him. Once she reached the door, however, she tapped it lightly and put up a small shield against spiders and other bugs. She followed him, "Because I comforted her?"
"The whole situation of it," Xaver said, suddenly tired. He smiled, and for one rash reason or another, he gently brushed his lips to her forehead. She blinked with surprise as his lips touched her forehead. Thoughts jumbled up in her mind a bit, she couldn't help it.
He didn't know how to thank her, and he didn't really rationalize his own actions until he dropped onto the couch. The one farthest from the fire, and closest to the window. She watched him sit down while she tried to clear her mind.
LOL
Pointless banter ^^
Keep going!
I loved these topics..
LOL...another fan....ok keep going please
Eleventh Part
Xaver stretched out on the couch for a moment, almost relaxed, when he sat up, reaching back an arm to scratch his back. He growled slightly, and tried to itch around his shoulder blades. It literally itched him from time to time. Ginny went to a seat and sat down, curling her feet under her. She watched silently as he stood.
Xaver itched his back a bit more hurriedly, his shoulders knotting a bit painfully. He stumbled slightly at the awkward sense of concentration, catching his foot on the floor, and falling flat foreword onto the side of his face. He grumbled a low growl, and allowed his wings to appear, stretching out from his back and shredding another shirt, beating softly then tucking, settling comfortably on his back. Ginny watched as his wings opened, her mouth opening slightly at the sight of the beautiful black wings
His wings were obsidian, with a bit of blue. Beautiful things, they matched Xaver's personality in many ways. He sighed, and fell still, remaining where he had fallen, his eyes partly watching the fire, partly watching Ginny.
"Sorry," he said softly, a wing twitching nervously, satin feathers twittering in a non-existant wind. A nervous jitter. His wings explained his emotions better than he did.
"They itch until they literally hurt, unless let out.."
"Don't be." She smiled at him, then watched his wings again, "They are really cool."
Both wings in unison twitched, though with a more relaxed sense, "Thanks," he said quietly. Xaver reached back and massaged the base of where his right wing met his back, wincing slightly but kind-of rubbing out the knot there. He couldn't really reach, but it didn't really matter to him. He smiled at Ginny, eyes still watching both her, and reflecting the fire. Xaver grinned slightly, raising an eyebrow when he noticed surpise in her eyes.
"What?" he questioned, noticing she was staring, confused a little by her surprise.
"The way your eyes reflect the fire...just surprised me.." She muttered, looking away, but smiling. He blinked.
"Interesting..." he chuckled quietly. He watched her for a long moment. "I've never heard that before." He smiled slightly, a wing twitching randomly.
"What's that supposed to mean?" She challenged, frowning, slightly. She thought he was trying to say she had been stupid.
"That I've never had anyone tell me that before," he said simply, for once, backing down from a challenge from her. He didn't want to word anything wrong. She turned and watched him again.
"Well, if it had been anything else, I would have said it."
Xaver frowned. "What does that mean?" he questioned, interested
She looked at him for a long moment, not even blinking. "Exactly what I said."
He continued to frown, staring at her, until finally the message clicked, "Oh." He dropped his temple back to the solid floor, and chuckled slightly, "Sorry."
"It's okay." She said, blinking, slowly. She watched hima moment more before, "I'll be right back." She said, standing.
"Alright. I can't exactly walk around the castle like this, anyway." He moved his wings softly, motioning them, closing his eyes. He listened to her footsteps, and fell silent.
Ginny walked up the staircase and quietly slipped into her room, being extra careful to not make any noise. She knelt down and opened her trunk, feeling around for her small pouch. She pulled it from the trunk and closed the lid, soundlessly walking down the steps.
Xaver heard her footsteps, and opened his eyes a bit, watching her walk down the stairs, before he closed his eyes again, folding an arm under his head. She knelt on one knee in front of him, opened the pouch and pulled out a muffin.
Yes, a muffin.
"Eat this." She said, holding it in front of him. Xaver opened his eyes and watched her for a moment before taking the muffin, a small grin splitting his lips. He took a bite.
"Muffins?" he questioned after he swallowed, taking another bite.
"It'll help with the muscles in your back." She said, tying the pouch onto her waist, but still kneeling.
Xaver narrowed his eyes at her, though happily, taking another bite. He glanced about her, just to see if there might be any more muffins she was hiding. He was a muffin addict.
"You better stop being nice to me," he said, finishing off the muffin. "Seriously. You'd better stop, or I'll show you just what muffin slobber is." He grinned at her, and began to chuckle quietly.
"Thank you," he said after a while, quietly.
"No problem. After all, I have a feeling Kylie would be angry if I didn't help you once and awhile." She said, patting the top of his head and standing. She smiled down at him.
"Maybe, maybe not. Though I don't really understand women and their motives all the time, so I'll trust your judgment." He grinned teasingly, though speaking the truth.
A wing twitched and feathers fluttered slightly, and he chuckled. Whatever was in the muffin was soothing. He felt slightly relaxed, and he wondered if that was the point of it. He didn't ask, though.
"I studied healer classes for awhile. They give potions for everything from acne to near death injuries. I mix them with food like muffins and bread and such and then, abracadbra, when your hurt, take a bite and you'll be cured." Ginny told him, softly as she walked up to a bookcase.
Xaver walked up behind her, grinning slightly, "Well they're delicious. Do you have any more?" he questioned close to her ear, glancing at the magic pouch. He licked his lips, suddenly hungry again.
Sorry about the long wait for that last one. Been busy writing a story to put on deviantArt.
((LOL....not a long wait....okay actually it was.....no fans posting on this story...but I'm still here....:D))
As long as at least one person is posting, then I will try hard to keep posting.
LOL...I noticed how no one had posted....no big fans huh Ginny... ;) ::)
well then at least I don't have to fight for the Number 1 fan spot ;D
oh yeah you don't have to rush posting....I know you and Kiara need time to post.....usually I would just rush through the writing but you guys inspire me to stop and think....am I the only one talking to myself right now.... :P
It took me longer than I expected, but I finished my story for deviantArt.
So now I can work on this one again.
ooh Ginny can you give me the url for your story on Deviant Art so I can read it ;D
Just click on the deviantArt link in my profile. Both have mature filters on them, but thats because they swear alot. The one titled 'Hanori' is the one I was working on.
okay then.....I already started reading it.....alittle bit of humore.....too many swears....LOL....I like it ;D
I swore alot because Hanori is 15, and most of the 15 year olds I know swear as an act to show they are grown up. It only shows their childish tendincies, but no matter.
hmmmm you're right....LOL....yeah I read it...but that's not the ending is it?
Nope. I'm actually going to be writing more...once I put a little bit on this story. Which I am working on now.
Twelfth Part
Ginny fumbled with the book she was holding, almost dropping it in her surprise at his closeness, before glancing at him sideways to answer him, "Actually, a lot more."
"Well then." Xaver gently flipped the book she was holding up so he could read the title, then pressed it back into her hands. He met her eyes as she glanced at him, "Can I have a few, maybe?" he asked softly, not moving.
She looked at his eyes, which she liked very much and shook her head while smiling, "You can't have too many."
He absently rested his hand over hers, begging with puppy eyes. "Please?"
"Nope, sorry. It's like overdosing on medicine. You'll get yourself sick." She said, setting the book back on the shelf with her free hand. She rather liked having his hand over hers.
Xaver chuckled, but nodded "Alright, alright. Just no muffin-tempting, or I'll have to steal some." He grinned jokingly, and shook his head.
"Ha. If you reach for that bag, I will slap you." She said, glancing to make sure the bag was still tied at her waist.
Xaver grinned slightly, smirking, lowering his voice. "I told you no tempting."
She smiled back, amused with him, "A slap isn't tempting, Xaver."
"Yeah," he growled gently. "But reaching for that pouch is." He grinned in return to her smile, and glanced at the pouch, teasing. And Ginny knew he was just teasing her. That's what friends did. But she really liked his teasing in a way she couldn't describe.
"So, you'd rather take the tempting thought of reaching for the pouch and end up getting slapped then just not getting slapped?" She asked, teasing back, but not moving. He didn't intimidate her at all. She had stood up to death itself, she wasn't afraid of Xaver.
"Maybe." He grinned down at her, his eyes once again glancing to the pouch. She smirked.
"Somehow I doubt that." She said, turning back to the bookcase. With a quick swoop of his hand, Xaver detached her pouch and was holding it in his hand. He dangled it by her ear, grinning, chuckling.
"You can hit me now if you want," he said into her ear, causing goosebumps to run down her arms for the millionth time today. He waggled his eyebrows.
Ginny snatched it back from him and tsked at him, "Nah, you'd enjoy it too much, you masochist. Next time, I'm putting the pouch down my shirt." She told him, using a trick girls used everyday to keep things away from boys.
Xaver grinned, "Yes, retain your abuse for another day." He smirked, then shook his head.
-Devilish woman.- he thought to her, teasingly still.
"Yes, devilish, but you won't reach for it there." She said, smirking back and ducking under his arm. She had liked the closeness, but she really doubted she be able to stay that close for long without kissing him.
He watched her, and laughed a little. "You are right. I won't. I'm not allowed." Xaver laughed, shook his head, and began looking over random book titles.
"Exactly." Ginny said walking to a couch and laying down, her arm over her eyes. Her heart was beating fast, and she felt so strange. She couldn't let him look in her eyes and know what she was thinking.
Xaver paused, glanced over at her and smiled, then returned to his search. "Exactly," he repeated quietly. He found a random book about potions, and settled on a chair, flipping absently through the pages, though not making a sound.
After a few moments, without even realizing it, Ginny fell asleep. Really, the only indication was the fact her block, the thing that kept others out of her mind, slumped a little. Xaver glanced at her, noticing immediately when her guard dropped just a little. He set up a firm mental barrier around her, just to reinforce her own block without waking her, then began to flip through the book again, memorizing random potions. Eventually he was near the end of the book, when he frowned. A page had been ripped out.
Ginny jerked in her sleep suddenly and rolled, falling off the couch. She landed on the floor with a light thud.
"Ow..." She moaned, sitting up and rubbing her head where it had smacked the floor. She still wasn't fully awake.
"Are you alright?" Xaver set the dulling book on a lamptable, watching her with a concerned interest. On a thought, he withdrew his barrier around her.
"Yeah. But these floors are hard..." She muttered, still half asleep. Xaver got up, kneeled and easily picked her up, and gently set her on the couch.
"I know it." He scowled at the floor, then smiled at her, somewhat playfully. She smiled back, and yawned, her eyes half open. Xaver noticed she was still half-asleep and chuckled, patting her shoulder.
"Go back to sleep, if you want. You look exhausted."
"No...I'm okay." She yawned again, and, despite what she said, leaned sideways onto the arm of the couch. Her eyes flickered shut, even as she attempted to keep them open.
"Yeah, you are." Xaver smirked, then pulled a blanket off the chair back and dropped it over her.
"Right...I'm okay.." She murmured, drifting in and out, even while she spoke.
"Yep." Xaver smiled at her, then turned and sat, his back against the couch, summoning the book back to his hands, opening it and staring at the spot the ripped out page would be. He began to concentrate, and was soon reading the words that would have been there. Ginny fell back to sleep as he began reading, and murmured something softly, too low to understand.
Xaver glanced at her as she stirred, smiled, then turned back and finished off the book. He set it to his side on the floor and slouched slightly, leaning his head back against the edge of the couch. He watched the ceiling for what seemed like hours, just thinking, never really bored, before he, too, fell asleep.
haha.....for some reason I thought the ending was quite funny.....I don't know....does that make me weird....LOL.....haha joking
Thirteenth Part
Many days later, the inside of the Great Hall was empty. Though the sun (behind barricades of thick black cloud, and unseen except for flashes of light now and then) had risen hours ago, and the long dining tables were brimmed to overload with random assortments of morning fruits, eggs, breads, and drinks of juices and milk, and patches of candies even, no students or staff resided within the hall.
They were smart.
It was the coldest day recorded in Hogwarts history (and there were some really cold days recorded), and it was a weekend. No school, no studying. Most students were probably snug in their beds, with the covers tucked and high over their faces; asleep, and warm.
Xaver stepped into the hall with a sigh, jamming his hands into his pockets. He was used to the cold, but every body had its limits. He was the only one stupid enough to try to find out what his were, this morning. He dropped unceremoniously at the empty Gryffindor table at random, and scowled without taste over the frozen drinks.
"I like the cold, but this is too much," he muttered. His breath frosted in front of him, in a soft cloud, evaporating slowly, rising where he didn't care to follow with his eyes. He picked up a glass of juice, rose and turned, and chucked it (with an inhuman amount of strength), scowling after it, watching shattered pieces of glass and frozen liquid scatter across the ground. Xaver sighed and shook his head.
"Geeze, your gonna hurt someone if your not careful." Ginny said, coming into the hall. She had a cover over her, and was fully dressed as well, in jeans, a t-shirt and a large warm looking sweatshirt, "What are you doing up anyway? It's freezing!"
Pig and Josh, friends of Ginny's, walked in it the great hall shivering. "Hey guys its freezing" Pig said her teeth chattering as they sat down.
Xaver watched them all enter, glanced at each of them, then focused on Ginny. He was dressed in usual attire. Dark shoes, jeans, a faded gold shirt, and the usual black cloak of his. The only difference, was a thick leather duster, ankle length, that he had put on earlier. He was cold, but he wasn't so much that he even needed to invest in gloves. Or a sweatshirt. Or a brain.
"I haven't been able to sleep," he said softly, shrugging. He scowled down at the frozen food, shook his head, and leaned against the wall, folding his arms. He yawned, then glanced at them, noting the many covers and blankets. He shook his head, "If I'm freezing, I'm either sick, or dying," he said. He pondered for a moment, then, "Or both."
"Lucky you." She said to Xaver, shaking her head. She got cold easily, and hated the shivering it did to her. Xaver picked up a piece of frozen fruit, and chewed on it absently, pondering as he watched Ginny's eyes.
"Yeah, lucky me," he muttered softly, turning away to pick up a handful of the fruit. Strawberries and raspberries. Or something. He popped them into his mouth absently, and settled his eyes on her again, frowning slightly, "Are you cold?" he asked seriously, finishing the fruit.
She nodded at his question, shivering slightly. But she was slightly optimistic about it, "It's okay. It'll get warm sometime. I'm just wondering why it's so cold."
"It wasn't a trick question," he said quietly. Xaver focused his eyes on Ginny, then rolled his shoulders and slipped out of his thick leather-looking coat. He walked over to her, and smoothly set it over her shoulders.
The coat was warm, from both his body heat, and the complex substance the coat was made of. It wasn't leather, though it looked like it. It was a substance that couldn't be found on earth. And it could keep the coldest warm. Ginny was grateful for it, and his kindness. Xaver himself wasn't cold. His skin was paler than usual, but that was for different reasons. He smiled down at her, though it dissolved quickly.
"I don't know," he said quietly. "But the cold doesn't feel natural. Feel it all out slightly. I know you would feel it.." Xaver squeezed her shoulder, and went quiet for a moment, walking over to one of the windows. He stared out the frozen-sealed glass, leaning his forehead on the pane.
"The atmosphere here is usually smooth. Like polished glass. Hard. But breakable. It's now rough. Not smooth." Xaver frowned against the glass, "The reasonable man hath adapted himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself," he quoted with a growl, frowning deeper.
He turned slightly, looking out one of the other windows. Ginny watched him, silently, before stepping slightly closer.
"I'm hoping..." She let that hang in the air for a moment, then changed her mind, "Anyway. Who could it be?"
"I have ideas," he said quietly, his words and expressions a mix of anger and a little sadness, but with the gentility that only appeared when he spoke to her, or Kylie, his little sister. "I just hope I'm wrong."
"Who?" She asked, blinking, "Deatheaters couldn't do this. They are idiots."
Pig looked at Ginny "You mean some one did this made it this cold?" She asked her, through cold breaths. She trusted Ginny, not only as a friend but as a teacher.
"It gets cold in Britain, but not this cold. Not naturally." Ginny said, turning to look at Pig. She offered her a slight smile, then looked back at Xaver. He looked worried, and that made Ginny uneasy.
"I don't know," he said softly. Xaver frowned deeper, reaching out with a small tap of mental power, surprising himself as he felt the presence of another force immediately. It surprised him, and before he could even gather his thoughts, the preternatural power swung back at him, breaking through his shields, and literally hitting him as a kick or pure force in the stomach, throwing him completely to the other side of the hall, into the stone wall, searing through him and raging like a raw saw on every nerve and tap of power.
Ginny's hands flew o her mouth, to cover her own surprise as Xaver dropped down from the wall and doubled over, crumpling foreword with a quiet groan. He coughed, and clenched his teeth, only whispering the surprise that would have any other person writhing in pain. Xaver wasn't like that. He didn't like to let other people see his pain. He coughed a colorful curse, and growled.
Pig looked at Xaver "Are you all right ??"
Harry walked in hearing Pig's question. Instead of his normal robes on he had on a muggle snow coat jinxed to keep him warm, "What do you think, he's doubled over in pain."
Pig gave Harry a sarcastic look and said "I can see that. I was just asking just to check"
Harry frowned and sighed, "Sorry, I'm not in a good mood since I woke up today with frost on the inside of the windows."
Pig smiled, "It's ok," she said warmly
"Shut up you two." Ginny snapped at them, kneeling down beside Xaver, worried, "What's up?" Xaver crumpled slightly, collapsing foreword. He growled, and panted a bit, but after a minute or so, he regained his breath.
"A problem," he whispered, his voice hoarse. It hurt to talk; it hurt a lot. So, he abandoned speaking, and switched to mentality.
-I should have known. What with the cold, and the black ice. Unbelievable.- Xaver clenched his teeth, and slowly, painfully, sat up, every nerve and thought like a sore beating to every part of his body. Xaver ignored this, and hauled himself to his feet, though the explosion of the motion erupted throughout him, numbing his mind for a moment, causing him to waver and wobble on his feet. It was unusual for Xaver to be injured physically. Even rarer, for he to have lingering pain.
Rare, and painful.
Ginny's hands went out automatically when he looked like he was about to fall. Her face was full of worry, as she looked him up and down. She stood slowly, keeping a careful watch. Xaver steadied himself forcefully before he could fall, casting a gentle, thankful glance toward Ginny. His next steps he had planned in his head already, before he even thought about carrying them out. He was glad she was there; it was as simple as that.
Xaver jerked slightly when he was alerted of that same preternatural force again, though this time he was ready for it. He closed his eyes and fixed his entire power to reverse. Reverse, in the meaning that he focused every thing to work backward and opposite the way he had been trained to use his power. The curse spilt over the castle he had recognized immediately. It wasn't of this world, but his homeland. Fixing it was opposing himself. It was really complicated. And it could kill him.
Xaver winced, and for a second or three, his form erupted into millions of millions of tiny black particles of black shadow liquid-stuff. There was a loud, solid crack, and his form returned to normal, and the atmosphere of the castle immediately changed, from deathly icy, to hell-like hot, then to a soft, normal cold for that time of year. The black sky evaporated, with the lingering presence of Xaver's foe (which had come back to be his brother).
Xaver wobbled on his feet, went limp, and crashed foreword to the floor, not unconscious, though he probably should have been. He groaned softly; it hurt to even think.
Fourteenth Part
"Xaver!" Ginny knelt down, turning him on his back and checking his forehead and his pulse. She looked into his eyes, checking his pupils, "You idiot. Why did you do that?!" She asked, half angry at him, half proud of him.
Xaver allowed himself to be checked over by Ginny, as he blinked up at her, smiling tiredly.
"Because," he said softly. "I had to." He coughed a chuckle, and sighed.
"Idiot." She murmured, shaking her head and tapping his forhead. She stayed next to him, but turned her head, speaking to Pig and Harry, "Okay guys, let's get to work. We have to make sure all students are experiencing any lasting effects from the cold. If so, we gotta get them down to the Hospital Wing and get a cold medicine for 'em"
"Snot." Xaver smirked at her, then turned slightly on his side, resting his forehead into the bend of his elbow. He sighed and relaxed slightly, but then flinched away from a gold fork the bottom side of his wrist had been resting on. He had been too out of it to notice that he had been resting on the fork, but now he felt it. Scorched into his flesh was the imprint of the fork, in a hot, bleeding wound. Xaver was strangely allergic to pure gold. Long handling of it, or a small piercing of it to his skin could result in any random problem. He mumbled a low curse and flicked the fork away
Ginny ignored his cursing as she continued speaking to the others. "Any students experiencing cold symptoms have to go down there. They'll stay overnight, and make sure you get everyone. Sometimes if someone is sick, their powers go nuts." She turned back to Xaver. "You're going down there too." She told him.
Xaver had been randomly scratching his chin when she spoke to him. He shrugged, and accidentally transferred some thick, dark blood from his wrist to his cheek. He scowled and rubbed at it, but only managed to sink it in deeper to his pale skin tone, and smear it up from his jaw to his ear. "Nuh uh," he said hoarsely.
With a great effort, he forced himself to sit. He took a moment to gain back his breath, then shook his head. "I don't want to go there..."
"It wasn't a question." Ginny said, raising an eyebrow at him. She seemed surprised that he thought he had a choice, "And no worries, Madame Pomfrey's not treating you." She said.
Xaver stared at her for a long moment, and then grinned a little. He didn't like being told what to do, but ever since he had met Ginny, he hadn't really minded being pushed around by her. Unusual.
His grin faded into a confused expression as he watched her, "Who will be then?" he asked quietly.
"A friend of mine. Pomfrey won't know how to take care of you." She said, grinning at him and standing.
"You are one of the very few. Hopefully your friend is gentle." Xaver smirked and chuckled absently, then by securely holding the table for support, he hauled his carcass to his feet, groaning slightly as he did. He wobbled, but found his footing eventually. The wound on his wrist began to burn, but he ignored it, absently hiding it by folding his arms.
Ginny gave him a slightly suspicious look then nodded, "I don't trust you to go there by yourself. I'm going with you." She said, nodding to the rest and leading him from the room.
Xaver slowly followed her, dragging his feet slightly, his shoulders slumped tiredly. He mopped his face with his uninjured hand, and scowled a glance at the wound on his other.
"Where are we going?" he questioned airily. She glanced back at him, puzzled by his question.
"I told you, the Hospital wing." She said.
"Oh," he said dully. Xaver tripped over himself slightly, but he regained his balance quickly. He sighed, watching her tiredly. "And... why?"
He watched her, his expression blank, his thought pattern irregular. Ginny turned and stopped, giving him another puzzled look.
"What's up with you. I told you why before." She stared at him, an eyebrow raised. He was acting rather peculiar.
((Sorry for the shortness. I wanted to make sure the next few parts were all together.))
Fifteenth Part
Xaver almost walked into her, the correlation between his brain and his body slow and irregular, his eyes dulled to an unusual shade of blue. As he watched her then, the aftermath of the power he had been hit with began to take a rougher toll on his body, finally showing, though he had hidden it before.
"Did I ever tell you that you have red hair? I like red hair. Red hair is different. I'd never seen red hair before I saw you. Did you know that?" Xaver laughed nervously, his eyes finally dulling to a blank grey. He blinked, and wobbled slightly, his eyelids drooping tiredly. Then, he shivered.
"It's cold in here," he stated. Ginny quickly remember him saying earlier about how he never got cold and her concern grew to a higher level.
"Xaver?" She asked, worriedly. She put a hand on his shoulder, "Are you okay? You're talking weird."
"I am?" Xaver gently placed his hand over hers, bowing his head over the both of them. He closed his eyes, wavering on his feet, the blood from his wrist trickling over his hand, and onto hers as well. "Headmy." He blinked and glanced up at her.
"Oh..."Ginny made a small noise, looking at the blood then shaking her head. She wasn't affected by the blood, she knew the sight well. "You're bleeding, Xaver." She said, pulling his hand out and turning it so she could see the cut.
The wound was deep, looking like a mix between a severe burn and a laceration. Varying in colors from red to blues, Xaver stared at it, watching his own blood fall to the floor in a thick stream. He was too out of it to really understand what she was getting at. He could barely focus. The wound wasn't close to the worst he'd ever had, but it didn't look good, either.
"I am," he agreed blankly. Ginny held onto his hand and pulled a handkerchief from her pocket, wrapping it around his bleeding wound, silently. She raised his hand above his heart, elevating it.
"Keep it above there, Xaver." She told him, gently.
"Alright," he said. Xaver clutched his wrist to near his shoulder. He stared at her, "Nobody's ever helped me with this kind of thing before," he commented airily, his words a little slurred, and heavily accented. His focus was going in and out, and odds were, he wouldn't remember anything of what he said later. "Except for Kylie when she found me hurt once or three times or something like that. But she's just a kid. 'Couldn't let her see this kind of stuff. 'Nuff already done... Wouldn't be fair to her..."
Xaver blinked tiredly, and gently leaned against Ginny. He was kind of out of it, and he couldn't think straight.
"Shh, Xaver..."Ginny said, allowing him to lean against her for a moment before she began to walk again. Xaver mumbled something, shrugged, and followed her, absently nudging the hospital wing door open with his foot. He closed his eyes, but kept walking.
Ginny lead him to a bed and pushed him backwards so he was forced to sit on the bed. "Stay here." She said, before pulling the curtain shut and leaving the wing.
Xaver sighed and looked around him, falling back onto the bed and tucking his head into the curve of his elbow. He stared blankly as the blood from his wrist began to slowly drip through the cloth Ginny had wrapped around it, and seep into the unfortunately white bed. He twitched absently once or thrice, then, as sudden as his eyes closed, everything in the room froze, blanketed with an inhuman coat of ice. Xaver sighed hoarsely, his wings suddenly opened, and tucked his head closer to his arm, his wing moving slightly, so the one hid him nearly completely underneath it.
Ginny scowled when she came back into the room. She hated cold, but didn't know if she'd be able to melt this ice. She dragged an old lady to Xaver's bed and pulled back the curtain.
"Xaver! Hey!" She said, making sure he heard her. She made a face and the old woman went to Xaver, taking just a few steps.
"She says you cut yourself. Let me see." The old woman demanded.
Xaver mumbled something beneath the protection of one of his great black satin feathered wings, and suddenly sprung upward, with one motion springing to sit on one of the rafters above, cradling his injured arm against his chest, just the way Ginny had directed, though blood now freely seeped through the bandage, and dripped down, to the floor below. The bed he had left, for instance, was a mess. Xaver shook his head, watching the two like a wounded beast.
"I didn't do it on purpose," he said softly, wings twitching nervously. "And I didn't cut myself."
"She didn't mean it like that, Xaver. Come down here." Ginny said, craning her neck to look up at him. "She's weird, and she meant that you got hurt." She explained.
The old lady scowled, "That what I said!" She told them, frustrated already.
Xaver almost fell off before he intentionally did so, slowly descending to stand behind Ginny, glancing at her with a quiet care, then looking at the woman with a blank mistrust. Even so, he sighed and extended his arm, palm up, untying the band and letting fall to the ground with a wet splat, thoroughly soaked with his own blood. He glanced at the wound then the woman, then stared at Ginny uncertainly.
Ginny moved over and held his extended arm steady as the woman began to work her magic with it, "It's not going to completely heal, Xaver, because her magic isn't strong, but it will stop the bleeding and tell us what's wrong with it." Ginny told him, smiling softly at him.
The old woman looked up, "This is a strange cut, how'd it happen?"
Xaver fell still when Ginny held his arm, comforted for the moment. He shivered once or twice as the woman worked, but by any means, he did stay standing after all. He noticed Ginny's smile and he nodded, and returned it thankfully.
He looked back to the woman. "Pure gold has a tendency to hurt me," he said absently. "Childhood accident. I became very allergic to it."
"That explains the way it is..." The lady muttered to herself.
Ginny frowned, "So...where did the gold come from?" She asked, a bit puzzled.
Xaver flinched and clenched his teeth for a moment, turning his head away. It was uncommon for him to feel true pain from mortal wounds, but he was not immune. It hurt like hell.
"A fork," he said shortly.
"Oh..."Ginny said, nodding. She watched him turn his head away and frowned. She realized it must hurt.
The lady finished working her magic, "As she said, it won't be compleatly healed, but it's not bleeding, so it should heal soon."
Xaver withdrew his arm and protectively clutched it to his chest, swallowing any emotion he might have expressed. Pain. Frustration. Who knew? He gave a formal, appreciative bow of the courts to the woman, then straightened.
"Thank you," he said quietly. He looked to Ginny and expressed the same thing in his eyes to her, and more, but he couldn't muster the will to say anything. Not without making a fool out of himself.
Ginny smiled at the woman, "Thanks, Naomi." Naomi nodded and walked out, muttering to herself. Ginny turned to Xaver. "You feeling a bit better?"
"Yes, thank you," he said truthfully. He pulled Ginny into a warm hug, and, taking a risk, he turned his head and gently kissed her temple, "I am in debt."
"No, your not." She said, putting her arms around him as well, "And your welcome." She said, smiling as he kissed her temple.
"Well, I'll just think I am. You're not getting off the hook for helping me that easily." Xaver pulled back slightly, gently, so he could see her, and he watched her eyes with a soft grin.
"I'm sorry to tell you that my brother doesn't like you. He doesn't like much of anybody, especially myself, these days, so I'm hoping that's not too devastating for you."
Xaver winked down at her, and softly kissed her forehead. "I'm sorry for the trouble he caused today."
"It's not your fault. And it's okay, you fixed it, so everything's good. And he doesn't even know me, why should he hate me?" Ginny asked, smiling at him. She liked it when he kissed her. Xaver smiled down at her, warmth from her smile spreading through his veins, and soothing the itch of his painfully pounding wound. She almost made him forget about it.
"My twin inherited my father's genes. He's irrational. Not to say that I am rational... But whatever doesn't hate me, or more particularly, anyone I like, he does not." Xaver smiled again. He liked the closeness of her, even if the very scent of her shampoo made him lightheaded. She was.. just right.
"He likes to make a scene." He said, as a way to explain.
"He sounds spoiled." She said, rolling her eyes.
"He is," Xaver said, taking some delight in her expression.
"He wouldn't try to hurt you or Kyllie directly, would he?" She asked, suddenly worried. His face fell after a moment, and he nodded grimly.
"Yes, he would. I have the scars to prove it. He has enough from me. I don't like fighting him, Ginny, he is my brother. He knows most of my secrets, down to the way I learned to fight, when we were younger. But I have changed, as he has. I don't know my brother anymore. But I have no association other than violence toward anyone who tries to hurt Kylie. Or you..."
I actually have some written ahead of time...but I'm not posting any more until at least one person comments.

Sixteenth Part
Xaver cleared his throat uncertainly, and smiled slightly, "Kylie is asleep in the room you provided for her a while ago. I hope you don't mind. I had a hint Xences might have a tantrum today. I seemed to cause some trouble with a few of his.. thugs? Yeah, that's the word."
She smiled softly t him, after all, he had added her into a category reserved for his sister under normal circumstances, "It's okay, she can sleep there whenever she wants to, or you want her to. She can even just hang out there if she wants." She paused, "Just as long as she stays outta my trunk, but she knows that."
"Thank you," he said again. Xaver leaned in and softly kissed her forehead once more, then he nodded.
"She won't get into your stuff. She knows better. Besides, she likes you too much to disobey." He winked down at her, then flinched slightly as a nasty throb of pain scorched through his arm.
She saw his pain and sighed "Any way I can help?" She asked. She didn't want him to be in pain, but there was no way she could take it all away.
With a deep sigh, Xaver touched his forehead to hers, then rested his head in the curve of her shoulder and neck.
"No," he said softly, shaking his head slowly against her shoulder. "You've done more than I deserve. I'll get over it." Xaver reluctantly pulled away, and watched her eyes, constantly aware of her arms around him, and liking the feeling. He glanced at the clock on the wall, then looked back down at her.
"Maybe we should get back to the common room though."
"Yeah, good idea." She said, stepping back and smiling. Xaver nodded, leaned in and kissed her cheek, then with his good hand, his other still clutched over his heart as directed, he opened the door of the hospital wing, waiting for her to pass through first. Maybe he was injured and was seeing two of everything off and on. Sleep would fix that. Time with her was precious to him.
"Course it is." He grinned at her. She was the bright side to his situations.
"Uh-oh, now your gonna think every idea you have is good, aren't you?" She asked, teasingly, going through the door. She glanced back at him, masking her worry.
"Oh yeah," he said, grinning. He almost flattened himself walking around the door, but once he got around it and was standing next to her again, he grinned, "Well, maybe not all of them."
She laughed, "Your nuts." She said, shaking her head as she kept walking.
"Yeah. But you knew that already." Xaver grinned sleepily down at her, and continued walking, starting up the staircase toward the common room.
"Did I?" She questioned, smiling back and walking beside him. She hoped that the hallway wouldn't be crowded. Unfortunately, it was. Students stared openly at both of them. Xaver had forgotten entirely about what had just happened. He was tired. He had forgotten his arm (until a jolt of pain woke him up from that) and that before it had been healed slightly, it had sloshed blood all over his front. And he had hugged Ginny.
"Yeah," he said quietly, glancing at her. "I think you did." Ginny smiled at him slightly, then glared at a student who was gapping at them in all their bloody glory.
"What, you want to be this bloody too?" She snapped, before turning back to Xaver, "Guess so." She agreed.
nice!!! bump
I feel really bad about not working on this...I have had school and work almost every day, and on the weekends (when i still have work but no school) I go to my boyfriends and stay the night. (My stress reliever.)
BUT.
I will crack the whip on myself and get a move on. It's nearing the end, so yay for me. *wipes brow*
Seventeenth Part
Xaver chuckled slightly as the student ran off, and tiredly, he smiled down at her. "I guess he doesn't prefer our style," he said, opening the common room portrait for her. "Our pizazz is too much for him."
"Yeah, think we can make this a new fad?" She joked, stepping inside and waiting for him. There was hardly anyone in here, luckily, though there were some, whom she ignored.
"Course we can, hot stuff." Xaver grinned widely, following her into the common room. He flexed his fingers and shrugged.
"Hmmm, hot stuff?" She asked, laughing at his choice of names. The students watched them, a bit puzzled why the two kids covered in blood were laughing. She stopped laughing and grinned, taking a step closer to him. She leaned forward and stage whispered, "I think we're freaking them out...."
Xaver grinned broadly as she laughed, and nodded, "Yes, hot stuff," he said. "Do you like it?" He chuckled softly, easily sensing the stares. They amused him slightly. "I think we are. Best put on a show then, Milady," he whispered.
He glanced at her lips, and suddenly noticed how close she was. And how long her eyelashes were.
-Can I kiss you?-
She laughed again, enjoying the surprised stares. Normally, such stares came when she was angry, but for once, they came cause she was happy. And she was very happy." Sure, it's not a bad name." She told him, referring to the strange 'nickname'.
-Okay-
Xaver grinned, "Not for you."
His grin softened as she answered his mental question, and with his uninjured hand, he gently touched her cheek, and tucked a stray strand of her hair behind her ear. Slowly, he leaned in and kissed her on the lips, savoring the buzz he found there, enjoying it. Ginny didn't want him to pull away, the electricity they shared was enough to power her body for weeks.
-Okay.-
Xaver held her close, chuckling softly. Ginny smiled, and glanced around, feeling the shocked stares of the students.. By now, most of the kids were snickering or turning back to their work. Ginny put her arms around his shoulders and looked at him.
"I liked that." She said, happily. She was grinning widely, and couldn't stop.
Xaver grinned down at her, wrapped his uninjured arm around her back, touched his forehead to hers, and softly kissed the bridge of her nose. He could care less about the other kids. Her opinion was the only one that mattered to him then.
"I'm glad you did." Slowly, he enveloped her lips into another passionate kiss, though he broke away after a moment, very reluctantly, bowing his head into her shoulder as he clenched his teeth, fighting off the pain in his arm.
"Sorry," he said, flexing his hand. He softly kissed the side of her neck, then tiredly closed his eyes.
"No, I'm sorry. I forgot you were hurt." She said, letting him rest where he was.
"Don't be, I forgot too," he said with a low, quiet chuckle. Ginny closed her eyes as well, smiling. This feeling, the one that made her feel so light and happy was one she rarely felt and desperately needed. They stood there for a few minutes before she opened her eyes.
"Do you want to sit down or something?" She asked, a bit worried about him. He opened his eyes and slowly straightened, watching her eyes with a gentle, but bleary smile.
"I don't really want to, but it would probably be for the best. I'll hit the shower, change my clothes and this bandage, then see if I can't catch an hour of sleep before dinner.." Xaver softly kissed her, then straightened with a slow grin.
She nodded, "Okay, but don't be surprised if I check on you every once in awhile." She told him, poking his chest softly, but smiling.
"Ok." Xaver nodded, and with a smile he swiftly kissed her on the lips, turned and headed up the staircase. He grinned at her, then disappeared into the dorm.
BUMPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D
Eighteenth Part
Xaver emerged from the showers cold, sleepy, and hungry. He had changed into a fresh pair of jeans and a black shirt, and he had fixed up a new black and white bandage around his injured forearm. His damp dark hair stuck messily about his head, but he didn't pay mind to it.
Avoiding the littler kids in the dorm, he went out, and went out of the common room as well, seeking a quieter peace, than with so many voices and thoughts in one room. He found a deserted corridor, and walked it for a while, then found solace on one of the huge windowsills. He yawned and sat on it, watching the outside with a half-alert mind. Making up his mind, he slowly slid off the sill, and walked the rest of the way out of the castle.
Ginny was now outside as well, only she didn't realize Xaver was too. She stood, talking to some younger students. They smiled at her as she explained something and then laughed and nodded. She patted one on the head and they left.
She watched them before she walked to a tree and reached up, pulling herself into it. She leaned against the tree and closed her eyes. Xaver had heard footsteps, and on first instinct, he had lept up into the high boughs of the tree closest to him, crouching in the shadows up there like a wary predator. After they had passed, he violently shook his head, regaining control of his senses, and powers. Xaver almost fell out of the tree.
Leaping from tree to tree, Xaver had lost himself in thought, though he was startled out of it when he saw Ginny. He did fall then, tripping over a stray branch. He did an odd sort of flip and plummeted halfway down from the vary top of the tree, where he had been, but he reached out with his uninjured arm and caught a branch, jerking himself to a stop. He winced, but the pain in his shoulder died quickly. He swung and flipped himself up to sit on the branch, slouching tiredly, though he grinned over at her.
"How you hangin'?" He chuckled, though it was bit off by a yawn.
"Idiot, why are you bouncing around in trees when your hurt?" She asked, shaking her head, slightly annoyed.
"I bounce around all the time, hurt, and when I'm just..." he yawned "..peachy..." Xaver passed an inane grin over to her, playfully poking a tired fun at her annoyance, "C'mon, the idiot has to live up to snot, now doesn't he?"
She shook her head, "Just be careful, okay?" She asked, deciding not to pick a fight.
"I'll be alright," Xaver yawned out. He moved closer to the trunk of the tree, turned and leaned his back against it, then tipped his head back, closing his eyes. He set his arm on a branch at his shoulder height, and yawned again. He stuck out his tongue at her, then grinned.
"Lucky I don't push you out of that tree..."She muttered, turning so he was at her side now. She looked past the trees and towards the mountains.
Xaver flashed a wild grin and stood, quickly stepping over a few branches, so he was suddenly seated on the same branch as she, just a little farther down.
"I'd pull you down right with me." Xaver chuckled over at her.
"Oh really?" She asked, facing him for a moment and sticking out her tongue then turning to face the same way again. She thought about how sick he had seemed earlier, and worried slightly. She cared about him too much to let him overexert himself. She didn't want him to be hurt too much, and she didn't want him to get hurt again. She also wondered about his brother. Why would someone hate their siblings so badly? So much hate seemed to come from this guy she'd never met, and she wasn't sure if she wanted to. What kind of person would try to hurt a sweet kid like Kylie?
Xaver watched her for a long while, a small grin forming once again on his lips as she spoke.
"Yeah, pretty and fiery may be you," Xaver said softly, after a moment. "Really." He smiled slightly, his own mind curiously following her thought pattern as he leaned back against a branch and dozed lightly, though he didn't follow what she was thinking about. He may have been curious, but intruding upon her mind was something he would never do. It was unlikely he would be able to do it, either. He respected her power.
He slumped slightly and set his injured arm comfortably across his chest, and let his eyes droop, absently yawning.
" 'Aver? Ginny?" Kylie came up to the bottom of the tree, dressed in pink pants and shoes, an orange coat, and a black and brown cap with floppy sides that covered her ears, her solid black hair trailing down her back in long waves and ending it big, thick curls. Seated on the base of the neck of a unicorn, her arms were wrapped tightly about her small frame, her thick bronze mittens bulging with the effort to keep herself warm. Small scratches grazed her face, her bottom lip was split in the corner slightly, and a dark bruise was beginning to form on the edge of her fair cheek. Her eyes were red and silvery, her entire form trembled, and her aura was a mess.
"I gots up this morning and Xences hit my head with his mind. I fall down t' stairs.." she forced out, her words heavily accented and frightened.
She shifted slightly and peered up at her brother and Ginny, tears streaming down her face, shivering. Then, she fell still, an odd look on her little face.
" 'Aver, you're hurt!"
BUMPY!!!!! but I have one question.... Why would Kylie have already known that Xaver was hurt?
Well, Kylie sees his bandages, as well as something that will be explained soon.
Oh ok thanks!!!!! and please add the next part soon!!!!!!!!!!!

Nineteenth Part
"So are you, girlie." Ginny said softly, slipping out of the tree and landing beside Kyllie. She knelt next to the little girl, putting her arms around her. Ginny hugged Kyllie tightly. She hated it when little kids got hurt. Now, even though she had never met Xences, she was angry at him. He had hurt an innocent child, and it made her very angry.
"Don't you mind me. I am fine. Kylie.." The unicorn stepped away from the three and left, as Xaver dropped immediately after Ginny, falling to one knee, wrapping one arm across his sister's back, gently running a hand through her hair, and the other arm, his injured arm, across Ginny's shoulders. He winced slightly at it, but quickly ignored it.
"Kylie, what happened?"
Kylie had buried her face in Ginny's shoulder and hugged her back just as tightly, so she had to shift to face her brother. She sighed slightly, and one of her mittens fell off, along with it, four or so empty candy wrappers. She shook her head and buried her face in Ginny's shoulder again, now, beginning to cry.
Xaver petted her hair for a moment, and then stiffened, fixing his calculating gaze on Ginny's eyes. He was silent for a moment, before he finally spoke again.
"Would you stay with Kylie for a little while? I must have a short word with my brother," he said quietly, a cold pulse of energy seeping from his words into the very forest floor. Xaver stood.
Ginny looked up at him and opened her mouth. She almost said she wanted to meet his brother, but she remembered Kyllie, and held the little girl tighter. She nodded at Xaver, "Just, give him hell for me, ok?" She asked, quietly, closing her eyes and hugging Kyllie tighter
Xaver nodded gravely, pausing for a moment. He focused upon something, then opened his eyes again, his concentration never lost. He kneeled down and lovingly kissed Kylie on the forehead, and Ginny on the lips, then stood again. He watched the two people he most deeply cared for, then simply disappeared with a sharp, low crack.
Kylie turned her head slightly and looked up at Ginny, "What does that mean?" she asked.
"What does what mean, Kyllie?" She asked, looking at her softly. She was worried about Xaver, but kept it from her eyes, and smiled at Kyllie.
" 'Aver looks so angry.. but he thinks so sad.." She sighed. "Brother is a very confusing boy-person." Kylie leaned down and picked up her fallen mitten, slipping it back on, touching her sore lip. Momentarily forgetting it, she looked up at her, "You have any candy, Lady Ginny?"
"I think, Kyllie, it means he's worried." She said, and then smiled as the little girl asked for candy, "I think so..." She said, pulling a pouch off her waist and opening it. She held it out towards Kyllie.
"I don't know... he worries me lots... and when he and Xences fight.. Lady Ginny, they fight really bad..." Kylie's forlorn expression lit up when she saw the bag and though her movements were timid, she put a mittened hand in the bag. Searching for candy, she glanced up at Ginny, raising one of her small eyebrows.
"Brother really likes you. I can tell. Do yous like my brother?" Kylie stuck out her tongue slightly in concentration, as she finally found a piece of candy.
"Yes, Kyllie. I really like your brother. And, I'm worried too. But, all we can do is wait, okay?" She said, smiling at Kyllie.
"Okay." She nodded, "I'm glad you likes him. Why do you?" She sat, stuffing her mouth with the peculiar candy, gazing up at Ginny with innocent eyes, and a gentle smile, "He's such a silly boy."
She grinned playfully, and a little protectively. Xaver had been the only one she'd ever had all her life, and it was only natural for her to be protective. She was still distressed, and worried, just as well.
Suddenly she squirmed, fishing out two necklaces from beneath her puffy coat, taking them off and letting them rest at the palm of her hand.
The necklaces were identical. Black, pure gold wings encased a sphere of a diamond, as big as the end of one's thumb. In the center of the spheres, two orbs danced in each, one with an X, the other with a K, identical in both necklaces, swimming around small, minute black satin feathers.
"Xaver used to wear this one, and I always this one. Whenever his mood would change, I could know because it showed in the diamond, even though we were so far apart a lot of the time. He then couldn't wear his anymore, because of the gold. After he and Xences had a fight a long time ago, he never touches gold. I don't know why.."
The one with the X, glowed a deep, hot red. The one with the K, glowed blue, "It shows both our emotions. Anyways, Xaver made them, and I always thought they were pretty. Here, you have this one." She slipped one into Ginny's hand, then put hers back on. " 'Aver would want you to have it. I want you to have it." She gazed at the stone, in thought..
Ginny looked at the necklace, then looked up at Kyllie. Still holding the necklace in her hand, she hugged Kyllie again, "You ask why I like him. To tell you the truth, I can't settle on one good answer to that. It's a hard question." She said, softly.
