*max sat on the couch of the slytherin common room, waiting for kiara..he had told her to meet him here..they hardly spent any time together anymore.*
Ginny came in, carrying a book she had borrowed from here. She walked over to the book case, sliding it in and turned with a slight yawn. She was a bit sleepy, but that didn't matter.
She saw Max and smiled. "Hey Max."
Max smiled warmly."hey gin.whats up?"
"Not much. Havn't been sleeping lately, but I'll get over it. I always do." She went and sat in a large armchair, covering a yawn with one hand.
"hope you do" he said still smiling at her. "we've been swamped over at the ministry.." he yawned a bit to.
"I haven't been there in a long while. I need to go back in a give them some reports." She laughed, like a child who frgot to clean their room.
"Yeah." He smiled. "I suppose knowing a high up helps with the workload." He winked."How are things going here? are my sons behaving?"
"I havn't had a problem with them. Sadly, I don't get to see them except in the Great Hall. They arn't in any of my classes." Ginny did look a bit sad, but she brightened up a bit.
"Eh, well."
"I think they mentioned signing up for one of your classes next year." he said looking thoughtful. "But I only count on Jr. to go thru with it..jason's a bit lazy when it comes to school...and chores."
Ginny smiled.
"That'd be great. Having you and Kiara for parents gives those boys a lot of psychic power to fall back on." She looked thoughtful.
"I've substitued a few of Jason's classes, I think." Ginny said, trying to recall.
"Yeah..I think he mentioned it.." He twirled his wand a bit.
Kiara walked in the porthole, the door swinging open before her and closing softly as her feet touched the ground. She smiled lightly at Ginny and then turned to Max and sighed.
"Sorry, running a bit behind, had to sort a few things out in the Charms class first, seems a few of the students had a terrible problem with floating objects and made quite a mess of the place." She chuckled softly a twinkle in her emerald orbs as she moved to the couch where Max lounged.
When she reached him, she bent and gave him a small kiss on the forehead. "And how is the most wonderful man in the world doing tonight?" She asked before she sat next to him.
He smiled. "I'm doing fine now." He ran his fingers through her hair.
"It's been a while,"He said, looking into her eyes. "How're things with you?"He laid his head back a bit.
It had been a while, the two of them had been so busy with work these days that they seldom ever saw on another, something Kiara was certain Max hated as much as she did.
She smiled wider as he ran his fingers through her hair.
"Yes, far to long love." She replied to him and closed her eyes lightly. "Things have been doing ok at best lately, though they have indeed gotten much better suddenly, for some reason." She smiled again and then opened her eyes and looked in to his icy blue orbs.
He sighed happily. "I'm glad things are better, now."he smiled.
"...I'm absolutley exausted, as usual."He yawned a bit and stretched.
"I miss this school." he said looking around."I might have to take a vacation to spend time with you."
"Taking a vacation might just be the best thing for you right now, cuz.." She smiled at him and winked. "I really do miss my Husband you know." She grinned wider and then turned and winked at Gin.
"So babe, you hungry?" She asked Max as she began to lightly rub his shoulders.
Ginny laughed at Kiara's wink.
max smiled, and sighed in pleasure at the massage."Yeah, kind of," he said off handedly. His stomack then rumbled, answering for him. "well, Maybe more then kind of." he laughed a bit.
Kiara smiled lightly and then took a deep breath. "Very well then Husband mine, let's go find something to eat..... how about you Gin, you with us?" She asked, turning her emerald eyes to her friend once more.
"Sure, why not. I've nothing better to do today." She stood and smiled at her friends.
Max smiled warmly and kissed kiara."glad to have you join us, gin."he stepped toward the port hole, grabbing kiaras hand."they still have feasts, right?"he joked.
"As long as Xaver doesn't get there first." Ginny said, more to herself, laughing. She stood, following them.
Kiara grinned when Max kissed her then stood and followed him to the porthole.
"Indeed, so I suppose we'd best get a move on then" She joked and followed Max from the common room and down the Hall
Max laughed."Oh, he thinks he can try and beat my record, eh?" He put his arm around kiara as they all headed down to corridor."well, he's sadly mistaken."
"He'll give you a run for your money, thats for sure." Ginny told him, laughing.
Kiara just shook her head slowly and smirked.
"Well, you guys can eat all you want, as it is a never ending supply of food here at Hoggwarts, just as it has always been." She smiled as she slipped her arm around Max as well. "But Gin is right, he CAN eat a lot." She chuckled.
"I always feel a bit bad for the house elves, though. I mean, they need a full staff just to feed one of these two. How many are on stand-by, I wonder? You know, they love to work, so how many get to sit it out when Max and Xaver arn't here?" Ginny joked,
"probably like six." he laughed, and kissed kiaras cheek."how are the kids doing?"
Kiara smiled at Max's comment and then smiled even wider at the kiss he bestowed upon her. "They are doing q1uite fine my love, their grades are holding steady and they seem happy enough, though like myself, they would like to see their dad more often..." She laid her head on his shoulder and sighed. "We miss you Max." She stated quite honestly.
Max smiled."I know..."He looked into her eyes."I promise I'll be spending much more time with you,"He winked.
Kiara smield and kissed him lightly. "Good." She stated simply as they neared the door to teh kitchen
He still had his arm around kiara, and smiled at the houselves as they clambered."Master Johnson is here!!"They sounded a bit giddy.
Kiara grinned from ear to ear. "Yes my love, they missed you too." She winked at Max. "Well, what do you want dear?" She asked him
"Oh, anything, well..just about anything."He said, looking at the houselves. They immediatley went to work preparing what appeared to be a buffet."Maybe I should have narrowed it down a bit,"He said, looking thoughtful.
Kiara laughed. "Yes, maybe you should have, but that is ok perhaps there will be something left for Gin and I when you are finished." She nudged him with her shoulder playfully.
"Maybe,"He grinned. The houselves handed all three a plate."So good to see you, Master Johnson." He smiled back and nodded,"Good to see you to, dobby."
"Dobby has been realy helpful with the kids you know." She smiled down at the small house-elf who blushed slightly at her acknowledgement of him.
"Well, I'm glad he's here,"He said, crouching down and shaking his hand."Thanks for the food, and helping my kids,"Dobby nearly fainted at all the honor. "Th-thankyou Master Johnson!!" Max shook his head."Dobby, I've told you before, call me max."
Kiara just smiled wider and winked at Dobby who honestly did look as though he were about to faint. "Honestly Dobby, you really are the best you know." She added to further his welling pride, just before she took a bite of her éclair.
"Dobby doesn't know that" He said, modestly. "Dobby only tries his best."He smiled up at kiara. He blushed. "Dobby, you are the best."he said, taking a bite of a chicken leg."Don't be so modest."
Dobby stuttered quite furiously over what to say and ended up simply bowing to Max and thanking him for his kind words before he slid back into the throng of Elves.
"I do so love that little guy." Kiara stated between bites and a small grin to her husband.
"how could you not?"he smiled, taking another bite."I haven't seen him in a while, and he still hasn't changed a bit."
