Title: Small Children Ask the Hardest Questions((open))
Post by: Ginny Weasly on September 18, 2007, 09:36:29 AM
"Tyler..." Ginny said warning to the small 8 year old climbing around in her dusty room. The boy gave a quick look to his cousin and slid ungracefully off of the large bed he had been about to jump on and gave her a long, searching look. Ginny sat on a small cot, pushed up against the wall. She never slept in the regular bed.

"How do you do that?" He asked, his childish voice high, yet soft. His brown eyes were full of questions as he tilted his head in wonder.

"Do what?" Asked Ginny, having turned back to the precious photo album she had upon her cot. She was half listening to her cousin, knowing that he was a good boy at heart.

"Know what I'm gonna do before I do it?" He asked, climbing up on the co beside her and leaning against her arm so as to get a better view of the pictures. For a small child, he spoke clearly, no lisp and no mistaking of words. He looked at the pictures on the page Ginny held open, "Who's that?" He asked, looking upon a picture of a dark haired boy carrying a small child in his arms.

"I'm a psychic, and that, my sweet cousin, are two very special people to me." She told him, vaguely. He leaned closer, examining the moving photo with much interest.

"Why are they so special?" Tyler now asked, looking up at Ginny. She smiled down at him, softly.

"Because that is the boy I love. And that is the girl who was his sister." She answered.

"What happened to her?" Tyler's eyes were searching hers, wanting to know, yet too young to understand. He saw Ginny's eyes tear up and he froze, uncertain of how to comfort his dear cousin.

Sarah thought that for once she would go visit Ginny. Sarah was carrying an owl she had found. She knew that Ginny had been watching after Tyler her cousin.

Sarah walked into the room and saw Ginny looking at a phote album.

"I see your feeling another person ful of your memories huh." Sarah did it sort of as a joke because Ginny never talked to others about her past. Ginny did to Sarah though and Sarah promised she would never let them out.

"I thought I would bring your cousin here and owl. It is fine. I found it and nursed back and well I really did not need it."

Ginny looked up, giving Sarah a small smile as Tyler slipped off the bed. He walked over and gingerly reached up, petting the owl with his small hand.
"Do you mean I can keep it?" He asked, in his soft, understanding voice.

Ginny smiled down at her cousin, one who was so unlike her in many ways.

Sarah bent down so he could pet it all.

"Ya I mean if you promise to keep good care of it and make sure it gets love it needs." Sarah felt so good to be kind.

"So Ginny how have you been. I've not seen you around with me trying to get the new store opened and things."

"Thanks." Tyler said, offering his arm to the owl. The gentle animal gently alighted to him and Tyler walked over to the window, his shoes swirling dust. He sat upon the ledge, looking out upon the grounds with slight awe.

Ginny watched him, closing the album softly and looking to Sarah. One of the few students she had carefully let know of her past. Though not everything. Sarah knew vauge things in some cases and details in others.

"I'm alright, I suppose." She said, somewhat strangly. She smiled, though.

"that is good." Sarah sat down next to her.

"Sorry about the whole animal thing. I heard that you were watching him and I thought that maybe this owl would be in great care." Sarah then smiled and wispered to her.

"I figured that if he did not take care of it you would. I would have but I don't really have any place for him at the shop." Sarah then sat there. "So how is work going."

"He'll take care of it." Ginny said, then added in a whisper, "He is getting an early admittance to Hogwarts...next year." Ginny told her, not letting on to Tyler.

She looked to Sarah, "And how have you been?" She asked, half opening the book to a new page, which showed a 15 year old boy with sandy brown hair and blue eyes. He was l;aughing at the camera now, in a fit of giggles.

"I see." Sarah smiled.

"Well Tired I mean all I ever do is work. I want to just take a day where no one show up with a sick animal." Sarah siad as had almost been worked to the bone these past days.

Ginny laughed, lightly, "Now you see why I was always in a bad mood."

She glanced at Tyler, then flipped to another page in her book, a large group photo that took up a whole page. It was a bunch of teenagers, but in the middle stood a boy and girl, both with black hair and green eyes.

"Ya I see but I think that you some times have it easier I mean your not the one turning down workers beacuse you have no way of paying them." Sarah still felt bad about that. She then looked down at them.

"So who it that."

Ginny  smiled slightly, "No, I don't turn down people for jobs." She agreed. She looked down at the picture with a bright smile.

"The two in the middle are Harry Potter and Kiara Maul. Twins. Beside Harry is Lavander Potter, and beside Kiara is Sabastian. I don't recall the surname he used."

Albus was walking down the corridor when he suddenly heard Tyler's voice.

Ginny looked up at Albus too, "Hi, Albus." She said, smiling softly.

Ginny smiled at Sarah and nodded slowly. "Yes, Kiara and Lavander were....are like sisters to me. They helped me through alot." She paused, flipping the pages again, as her old, close friends and family were shown on the pictures. She seemed in a rather thinking mood.

And Sarah was right, she did know more about Ginny than most of the people still around, but she still didn't know alot. But that was no matter to Ginny, so things she would talk about, and others she wouldn't.

Ginny looked up from her book at Tyler. He had pushed the window open and was looking out. She didn't mind, he was smart enough to stay away from the ledge.

Tyler closed the window and set the owl on a bed post, "Sure." He said, looking at Albus, "Should we stay up here, Ginny?" He asked, looking at his cousin.

"It's okay with me..." She said.
