Sky was walking with Nick. He seemed very nice but unhappy. Sky wished she knew how to make him feel better.
He kicked at the soft ground, looking out over the lake with little interest. he sighed, realizing how rude he was being to this girl, "By the way, I am Dominic. Call me Nick if you don't mind. What is your name?"
He looked at her with a smile, and though it wasn't all happy, it was genuine.
"I'm Sky. I just came here this year." She said as she threw a rock into the lake. She sighed.
"You said your a fith year, right? So that makes you about...15...16?" He asked, smiling at her again. He watched the rock skip out, leaving behind ripples.
"I'll be 16 next month." She said with a grin. "What about you?"
"Just turned 17." He grinned widely, "I am legally old enough to perform magic outside of Hogwarts."
"Thats great." Sky looked out at the Lake. "I can't wait until I'm 17. Then I can finally live at my own home and be free. Of course, I've been living alone my whole life."
He nodded, "Yeah, I don't get to move out until I'm 18. A deal I made with my parents."
He shrugged, helplessly.
"I dont know where to go when I graduate. I guess I'll be going somewhere away from here and build my own home. I already own a joke shop, so theres my profit there." Sky looked at Nick. "So..you didn't harass me...." Sky said.
Leron was walking nearby and noticed Sky and Nick. "Hey, can i join this or are you guys havin a litle private walk if ya know what i mean" called Leron teasingly.
Dominic raised his eyebrows, "You can join if you'd like. I don't see why not." He looked at Sky, "Harass you? About what?"
Mira was on walk. She had to clear her mind. Lately she was really confused. She decided to go to the lake and cool off. The water allways cleared her head. But as she arrived she saw people. They were too far away to make out the shape so she went around to the other side of the lake and silently slid in. She moved just below the surface like a silent shadow coming closer to the people.
Sky smirked. "I'm a Gryffindor. You're a Slytherin. We're "Mortal Enemies." Sky laughed lightly.
"Says who?" Dominc commented, dryly, "I choose my own enimes and friends, thank you very much." He looked off across the lake, then glanced at her, "Sorry."
"What I mean to say is...like that red head said, we are all human, right?"
Sky nodded. "I'm sorry for saying that. Its just... I've seen how Slytherins can be. It was wrong for me to assume that you were like them. You're nice." Sky looked down and kicked a rock into the lake along with some sand, causing the sand to fly around her ankles.
He nodded, "It's okay. I can see why you'd assume that." He was silent for a few moments, thinking, then decided to change the subject.
"So, want to give me the 411 on teachers?" He asked, half serious. He did want to know which ones to watch out for.
"I dont really know much about the teachers to be honest. I do my work, and wait for class to end. I guess I would watch out for Snape, but he likes Slytherin. Trelaney is a bit...well...I don't think words can describe her. She isn't bad. Just a bit..er...creepy." Sky took in a breath of the fresh air. Professor.McGonagol was her favorite teacher.
Nick nodded, "I havn't had that red-haired girl yet. What was her name?" He paused, remembering, "Oh yeah, Ginny. What does she teach?"
Sky thought for a moment. "I...haven't had her either. I am guessing defense against the dark arts or transfiguration." Sky walked over to a large rock that half lay on the water of the lake. She motioned for Nick to sit. It was a nicer view and a bit more relaxing.
Nick shrugged, he had been hoping to find out mor about Ginny, she was so odd and diffrent. It stuck with him. He sat beside Sky now though, and smiled.
"It's not too bad out here today." He said.
"Its quite nice." Sky said quietly. "Thanks for coming out here with me. It was nice to get out of the school."
"No problem. Besides, how often do I get to hang out with a pretty girl?" He said, nudgeing her.
Sky turnec a shade of pink. "t-thanks."
He laughed looking up at the sky, "Of course. Give credit where credit is due." He said, semi shrugging.
Sky nodded and just laid back. The breeze was nice against her face.
