((*makes chewing noises* See, I can be annoying too))
It was snowing, one of the first of the year. It was stciking, so there was a slight spray of snow over everything, making the small village of Hogsmead look even more mideavil then it already did.
Ginny, budndled up in a warm, heavy jacket, held Cody's hand as he looked about him with wonder. He couldn't remember snow before this and it amazed him. He pushed his hat up higher, almost off his head and looked at his mother.
"Momma, it's so pretty!" He cried out, giggling.
Ginny smiled down at him, nodding, "It is." She agreed, "Come on, let's go in here and get some hot coca." She told him, walking towards the Three Broomsticks. It had been a week or so since Xaver had returned, and though Ginny was still scared of the future, she had to admit, she didn't want him to leave.
Sarah was in the three Broom Sticks drinking a pumpkin juice deciding wether or not to shut down the vet hospital because she was tired and sore.
*sirius was walking in the snow outside boredly. he had gotten the day off from the ministry because of some back up in the department of magical games and sports from the winter snow. he ran in circles just letting the snow fall across his clothes and hair. he was obviously bored but this was fun. he was getting dissy though and finally he just fell right over into the ground. he laughed and started making a snow angel.*
Ginny led Cody into the pup, holding his hand tightly. Even during the afternoon hours, it seemed there were drunks there who wouldn't look away from Ginny. She was 20, but looked 17, and they were drunk old men. They blatantly avoided looking at Cody as Ginny took his coat off, and her own and hung them on pegs.
The two went to the counter and Ginny picked Cody up and plopped him on a stool, standing beside him.
"Two hot coca's please." She said, one hand on the counter, the other on the small of Cody's back to keep his balance.
""Hi there Cody." Sarah siad as she sat down her juice and smiled at him.
"Hi Ginny."
"Hi." They both answered, smiling at Sarah. Ginny nodded, "How are things at work, hun?" She asked, watching the girl at the counter make her and Cody's hot cocas with her eyes only.
Sarah pushed her hair back. "Not very good. I mean I can't really do the long hours and well Siruis is never there. I think I might quit it." Sarah knew that she could still do it. She was just tired.
*sirius sat up a few moments later and was very cold. he stood, examined his beautiful angel then ran into the nearest building. right away he spotted a red head and smiled.* ginny... *he muttered. then he saw sarah! he smiled even wider and walked over to them, sitting down next to sarah.*
Mira waswalking along and saw a snow angel then walked inside and found Ginny. She walked over. "The sonw angel???" She asked.
((Mira, we are inside now, lolz))
Ginny nodded at Sarah, "I understand what you mean. Perhaps you should take a vacation?" She suggested. The girl handed her and Cody their cups full of hot coca and Cody eagerly tried to sip some.
"Ow! Owowowoww!" He said, burning his tounge. Ginny raised an eyebrow at him and he looked up at her with a sheepish smile, "It's hot."
"Of course it is, angel. It is hot cocoa." She told him.
*sirius sblack personed and ordered hot chocolate to. when he came, he smiled to cody, then took a big gulp.* OW! ow ow ow! mine's hot too!
Mira giggled
Ginny rolled her eyes at Sirius, and Cody giggled. Ginny then took Cody's hand and held it over the steaming cup, "Here, I'll show you a trick, angel."
Cody smiled as his mother activated his power over ice, and froze the topmost layer of the drink. It melted after a moment, but it wasn't as hot anymore.
"Now take a sip." Ginny said, letting go of his hand with a smile. Cody nodded, trying it carefully, then smiled at her.
"Momma, you know lots of tricks."
*sirius looked at his own cup of steaming choco and looked pathetically at ginny. he moved his mug across the wood table slowly, placing it in front of her.* you wanna cool mine down too?? *he said with a puppy dog face.*
Ginny shook her head, "Cody, you try this." She told him. Cody nodded, putting his own hand over the cup, and closing his eyes tightly.
Unfortunatly for Sirius, Cody froze the whole cup solid.
Ginny laughed and Cody's face became crest fallen, "It's okay angel. I couldn't do it my first time either." She told him.
*sirius took his cup back and smiled looking into it. he picked it up and tried to take a sip but the whole frozen choco part slid out of the mud and landed on his head. he laughed and put it back in the mug after it had slidden down his lip to his pants.*
Ginny reached over and took the cup away from him, "Here." At her touch, the cup heated up, melting the frozen liquid and heating it back up. She stopped short of making it too hot to drink and smiled slightly.
Cody watched his mother and then looked at Sirius with sorrow, "I'm sorry."
*sirius laughed.* don't worry about it kid. *he held up his glass towards cody as a sort of toast, before drinking the perfectly heated choco.*
Ginny kissed the top of Cody's head and smiled, "Angel, no worries. With practice you will do it better than I."
Cody smiled at her, then frowned, "Can daddy do that?"
Ginny shrugged, "I don't know, dollbaby. You'd have to ask him."
*sirius smiled and put his mug down.* your father can do practically everything. including get your mother. *sirius smiled at ginny.* i think its pathetic, im a fuilly grown wizard and this little one is no more then 10 and yet he's already a better wizard then me.
Sarah smiled at this. Sarah then sent a message to just Ginny and cody. *Don't tell them I'm thinking about quitting.*
Sarah then sipped on her juice.
Albus walked inn. " Hi Cody!!!" He said as he approched the table they were sitting at.
*sirius smiled as albus walked in.* hey there albus.
-I won't.-
"He's three...." Ginny said, smiling slightly.
Cody grinned at Sirius, "You really think he can? Do you think he can get Momma to marry him?" He asked, suddenly bouncing. He waved at Albus, but looked at Sirius hopefully.
Ginny flushed slightly, "Cody, hush."
*sirius smiled widly.* i think its possible...i know your mom's really in love with him. and im sure he feels the same way. *he whispered in his ear.* i think there scared.
As he were there he went next too Cody and said " How are you today Cody?"
Happily as ever.
Sarah looked at Ginny.
"I'm so sorry. how about this cody. I go with you and mommy to get candy." Sarah said trying to change subject.
oh but i'm enjoying our conversation. how about i take cody to go get candy? albus can come along if he'd like. so you girls can chat and we boys can do what we like best, eat candy!
Sarah looked at Ginny and had that look.
"well I say okay if Ginny does."
"Please, Momma?" Cody begged, looking at her.
Ginny was still flushed, "I suppose. Make sure you wear your hat..." Cody jumped up and grabbed Albus and Sirius's hands, pulling them to wear his coat was so they could help him put it on.
Ginny looked down at her mug, her cheeks bright pink.
Albus helped him too put it on.
He headed for the door his hand holding Cody's.
" You know Cody... Shouldi show you an ice trick?" He asked him.
*sirius just managed to kiss sarah's cheak before he was pulled to the door. he laughed.* ok ok cody.
*he put his long black over coat and caught up with them.*
Sarah smiled. "GInny I'm so sorry. I did not know he was going to say that or i might of zapped him."
Sarah looked at Ginny. "If I take that vaction you know a spot I can do it where no one can get to me unless I want them to. I mean if i take one I'm going to tell Sirius in a letter and then go."
"You can stay at my house..." She paused, "I'm not going home for a bit. My parents want to spend more tim with Cody, and it's far away from most people. There's a few neighbors, but they are kind, elderly people." Ginny smiled slightly, "It's a small cottage, outwardly, but the inside is rather large. I converted the basement and loft to make it more comfertable, so there are about four bedrooms."
*sirius led the way to the candy shop and opened the door for cody and albus.*
" It is that you can make the snow around yourself go another place! Not hitting you! Do you remember the times i have covered Hogwarts in Snow?" Albus said.....lol....
"Thanks it just so hard. I mean I'm always worried about siruis and then I have a job so most nights i get maybe thirthy minutes of sleep" Sarah looked at her friend.
"So how you holding up."
Albus walked in waiting for response by Sirius (( HINT HINT! lol.......))
(what lol)
*sirius smiled to cody as he walked in too.*
(( READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 lol.........))
"It's strange and wonderful and scary as anything." Ginny shook her head, laughing softly, "Me, who's almost dies more then anyone in this room, who faced the devil himself once without blinking in fear, is scared of what will happen next." She frowned, "I'm just worried that now that he's back, he'll leave again. I don't want him to leave again."
Cody smiled at Albus, "Really? Cool."
Sarah looked at her. "I know that feeling. I mean come on I was not the brightess one of your student."
Sarah tried to find a way to help her. "If you ever need anything tell me. I will help. I mean I love Cody and you to death. Xaver is a cool guy. I mean I know that he seems to leave a lot. I would be scared to but remeber your friends are here to help pick the piece up when you fall."
" Yeah.... But don't try too cover a big area with snow in one time before your older..... i did that when i was 11! It did not go very well......!" Albus said.
" So what do you want here Cody?"
(i'm an idiot lol)
*sirius smiled.* who could forget that day honestly!
Ginny shook her head, "I'm even mor scared of his brother, Xences..."
Cody grinned at Albus, "Chocolate!"
"Oh Ginny I'm sorry I never knew he had a brother." Sarah looked at her.
" Then Chocolate it would be!" Albus said as he got a bag and started too fill it with chocolate.
*sirius smiled and held the bag for albus to put chocolate in just to help him out.* ok but im paying.
"He used to have a sister, as well." Ginny frowned, "Not anymore. And I'm terrified of Xences, of what he'll do to my baby."
" Oh thank you.... I am broke!" Albus said.
*sirius laughed.* no problem.
" Something else Cody?" Albus asked him.
"I see. Ginny just know my house is always open for him to stay. I mean there more tricks an turns in that place then I know where they are."
Ginny smiled slightly, "Thank you Sarah. Now where are they with my son?" She glanced anxiously at the door.
((Gonna get Xaver to help me out with the next few parts. Lolz))
"Spoiling him, of course."
Xaver's low tones preceded him, a moment or three, before his creature appeared, becoming out of thin air at the side of their table, without even a murmur of magic stirring to trail him. He smiled slightly, warmth touching the depths of his dark, very blue eyes, and he swept downward, brushing a kiss over the soft skin of Ginny's cheek, before he seated himself.
He'd only caught Ginny's last words..
Nothing of Xences.
Or Kylie.
"In the candy shop, of the pathway over."
"What is he conning them to buy now?" Ginny wondered aloud. She smiled at Xaver, a bit apprehensivly, for it had been only moment before when she had been speaking about one of the few people he seemed to hate.
Ginny again looked toward the door, having a maternal feeling. She stood, "I'm going to go check on them."
Cody smiled at Albus, "How about some taffys?"
"The worst, naturally..."
Xaver watched her, the handsome contours of his face echoing his interest, as she glanced again at the door, then finally stood.
He followed suit.
"I'll accompany you, love."
-You are worried. What anxiety does harbor in your thoughts?-
-I'm not sure. Something just doesn't feel right.-
Ginny pushed open the door, leaving her coat on the hook, and stepped out into the white cold of the streets. She could see the candy shop and made her way over, quickly.
((UGH! Help me think of something!))
He felt it too.
It wasn't a sudden comprehension, but Xaver recognized the feeling.
Recognized the cool unease that went deep, and remained strong..
He followed her out of the pub, the chill of the outdoors sharp, and prodding, his home elements strengthened in the familiar.
When Ginny made toward the candy shop, Xaver made to follow in her wake, but something stopped him.. He paused, the cool, strong entity of his power feeling about, almost..
Until that recognition turned into understanding.
His eyes, normally the deepest of blues, shaded to completely black, white-less orbs, his aura darkening as his energy became a pulse of heavy, radiating anger.
-Ginny, get Cody. It's Him. Xences.-
It was rare, to see Xaver angry.
Rarer still, to see him as truly, passionately livid.
It was perhaps so rare... Because in all truths, it was a scary thing..
The words were barley a memory when Ginny's next step was beside Cody, Sirius, and Albus. She wrapped her arms around Cody, and was beside Xaver. It took her only a second to be kneeling beside Xaver, her arms protectivly wrapped around their son.
Cody looked up at his parents, confused, "What's wrong?"
His eyes were black as night, and entirely so, changed as he tapped into the depths of the true power of his bloodlines. It was immense power, addictive power, that he indeed possessed, but rarely used -he didn't need it- but with it, he could easily sense.. And connect, with his ..brother. He hated the fact that, desptite it all, they were near the same. But only genetically. If there was anything of Xaver and Xences, it was that they were as different as 1 and 2. As opposite as night and day. Xaver like water, and Xences, like sticky oil.
His black orbs flickered to the side, when Ginny appeared, and trailed to his son, though before he could reply, he was reacting, leaning back slightly to brace the weight as his hand came up, and a feint haze of his shield became visible as an enormous oddity of an orb struck it, slamming into it, and splaying out, over it, in a half-dome shape that was the form of the shield, itself.
It was still for a moment, and finally Xaver dropped his arm, his expression solid. He looked at Cody, his eyes the same, shrouded color.
-Peril, my son. Constant vigilance, be sure..-
Xaver jerked his head up, looking down the alleyway that paralleled them, scowling, picking up the words, before they even met them.
"Enjoying your time off, brother?"
Cody shivered impulsivly as his uncle spoke. He looked towards the noise, leaning forward slightly, "Who's that?" He asked.
Ginny stood, slowly, holding her three year old son in her arms, facing where Xences's voice came from.
Xences appeared out of the darkness of the alleyway, becoming solid as he closed the distance between them, and the flurry of snow chopped up his features less and less. He was dressed from head, to toe, in black, his obsidian hair chopped short, and at sharp, odd angles atop his head, of which resembled the handsomeness of Xaver's, but in the end could not really compare - though it wasn't persay all the angles and ways of his features, but the lack of humanity and feeling in them. His eyes burned the same, completely black, and they locked upon Xaver's eyes, reading him. Watching him. Then, they flickered to Ginny, recognizing her, a sadistic grin contorting his mouth, until his gaze fell upon Cody.
Until Xaver stepped in front of him, anyway, protectively shielding them.
"Dear old Xaver. It's been too long."
A wicked sort of growl rumbled from him, instead of a laugh.
"Or do you go by Lord Xian, these days? King Xian?"
He made a swooping, mocking bow.
"Always've been much like our own.. Dearest. Daddy."
Xaver's jaw set, his own aura literally pulsating, waves echoing his anger... and power.
"He looks like Daddy." Cody said, softly to Ginny, though anyone could hear him. He tried to lean around Xaver's form to get a better look at Xences, but Ginny held him as tight as ever.
"Hush, angel." Ginny told him, her words settling the squirming child. Cody nodded, knowing his father was angry at this person. His eyes remained on his uncle and father, wondering at thei likeness, just like they had wondered at his own likeness to Xaver a mere week or so ago.
Daddy.
The word reached Xences, and, very ..animal like, he tilted his head to the side, absorbing the word, his colorless orbs meeting directly with his twin's.
"Patris?" -Father?-
His gaze darkened.
"Tui Filius?" -Your son?-
Slowly, Xaver nodded. Once, and very curtly, becoming nervous, with the sudden situation.
"Rectus." -Yes.-
He clenched his jaw.
"What do you want, Xences?"
Xaver translated with a subthought, so the others could understand.
Ginny held Cody, her own eyes darkening with intense hatred of the man before them. Cody looked at his mother, "Momma?" He asked her, and she glanced at him, giving him a quick, reassuring smile. She said nothing, having no reason to spek to Xaver's twin, and no want.
But Cody was curious, and though he was scared at his parents reactions towards this dark man before them, he wanted to know why. Why was his father so angry and nervouse? Why was his mother, a normally hate free person, gazing at him with such hate and anger. Cody had never seen Ginny express such anger. He wanted to know why.
Sarah walked to the side of the candy shop not wanting to go in and see what was the matter.
Xences growled, and, though to human eyes it would seem as if he would have disappeared, and reappeared before Xaver, in truth he walked ..with a little touch of power behind him, moving too fast to follow with normal eyes. Xences stopped directly in front of Xaver, so close that it was an almost intimate act, as his hands gripped Xaver's shirt, and ripped him close, snarling. They were relatively the same height, though Xences was an inch or so taller, so when he got in his face, it was up close, and personal.
"Just wondering where you ran off to, brother."
"Let him go." Ginny said, her words dripping with venom. Cody watched with wide eyes as his father was pulled close to the other man.
"Xences, let Xaver go." Ginny repeated her words, setting Cody beside her, hlding his hand, but freeing her other one.
Xaver nearly shook, with the effort it took to control his temper. His expression was dark, drawn tightly into loathing lines, staring at his brother relentlessly.
"Xences, let Xaver go."
Xences looked at her, disgusted, snarling.
"You stay out of this, you senseless, worth--"
Xaver cut him off.
"VERY important, it is for your future, that you never finish that sentence, you tainted filth."
He gripped him tighter, jerking him about slightly.
"Stop now, Xences..."
Xaver was usually a very calm creature, and it took a lot for him to lose his cool... But he was on the edge of it.
Cody's motuh dropped open, as he got the gist of what Xemces had said to his mother. He had insulted his mother, the one person who had been there always for him, the one who had never treated him like a baby, always teaching and guiding him. This made him angry.
Not that it amounted to much, he was only three. "Your mean!" He shouted at Xences.
"Your mean!"
The words of a three year old had an astounding effect on the twins.
Xences pulled a face, and growled.
Xaver, felt a sudden burst of fierce pride, and love for his son. So much so, that he would have laughed, had the situation not been so ominous.
Xences was fed up with toying with him, so he jerked Xaver to the side, aiming to hurt his twin in a far greater way than physical - he'd done it before.. - but he got not even a step foreword, before Xaver was flush behind him, one hand roughly gripping his hair, and throwing him around, jerking him back, and away.
"I told you not to follow me. I told you to stay away from Ginny."
His hand glowing, with the intensity of the power behind his motions, Xaver kicked Xences's legs out from beneath him, bringing him to his knees.
"Stay away from my family, Xences. Or I will take it upon myself to show you the other side of death."
He spoke quietly, though his tones were far more dangerous than if he'd been yelling.
"I'll kill you! I'll kill them. HIM!"
Xences jerked toward Cody, but Xaver ripped him down, then when he began flailing about, with his magic, Xaver released him, gathered his will, and blasted it into him, sending him spiraling through the wall of the brick building behind them.
Xaver stooped down, his eyes back to their normal, deep blues, and wrapped his arms around Cody, gathering the little boy into his arms, and then standing again.
"I believe it's time we find some other place to spend our day.."
When Xences had started for them, Ginny unconsiously held her hand up, palm facing the evil man. Her magic had never been tested against Xences, and she had no clue what would have happened had he been able to take another step. Thankfully for her, Xaver had pulled him back, then launched him into the air.
Now, Xaver, the man she was engaged to (not that Cody, nor anyone else, knew that) stood beside her, holding their son. Cody wrapped his arms around his father's neck and gave him a sloppy child's kiss on the cheek.
"Daddy, your strong." He said. Ginny smiled slightly and looked to Sarah, Sirius, and Albus.
-You know how to get ahold of me.- She told them, her voice quiet in their minds before she nodded at Xaver.
His heart, of which had been racing since Xences had gotten uncomfortably close, jolted oddly when Cody planted a kiss on his cheek. Xaver looked at the boy, half searching, half bemused.
"Daddy, you're strong."
He hadn't wished to use his powers in front of Cody. In truth, he hadn't even really tapped too much power.. But power, certain power, was harmful.
..And his violent ways, weren't what he wanted his son learning about.... Not until he was old enough to understand, at least. Though Xaver never doubted that Cody could understand a whole lot more than his age would give off.
It was hereditary.
Xaver nodded to the others, then, one arm securely under Cody's bottom, the boy's arms remaining about his neck, he took Ginny's hand with his free one, and transported them.
*sirius stood still looking at what Xaver had just done. never in his life, not even with Ginny, had he seen more anger or more hatred going into the magic that Xaver had just had. he was dumbstruck. he had only known ginny and conan's powers, but never...never anyone greater. he breathed lightly and his lungs kept on getting filled with air but was afraid to let exhale. he smiled to ginny and ran to where sarah was.*
Sarah hugged him when he was there.
"Siruis what going on." Sarah was scared silly.
*sirius was smiling ear to ear. barely able to speak from amazement!* i just saw the most life changing thing ever! Xences, Xaver's brother came and they were fighting. oh my goodness sarah! i thought people like Ginny, Devon, even Voldemort were all the strongest people i know...the most powerful ya know? but oh man! *sirius leaned against the wall, his face as bright as a child on Christmas morning.* Xaver...he is....unbeleivable!
"can we go in there. I want to make sure that if Ginny needs me I'm there." Sarah then looked at her.
"I'm scared though."

Sarah then looked at her.
(haha if that sentence were true then you'd be dating a girl on here lol)
*sirius walked over to her and placed his arms around her.* why are you scared? *he still had a twinkle in his eye from Xaver's power, but he tried to push it out of his mind and help sarah.*
Sarah looked at him.
"Because their powers are great."
*sirius blinked and thought of this.* then why be scared? we should be happy that we have...such powerful friends. i mean of course im deadly jealous of all of them, even cody, but at least we know he'll be a great wizard someday. even now he can do elements that i cant even do!
Sarah smiled at him. "Siruis if we have kids you think they will look up to us like cody does to Ginny and Xaver."
*sirius thought about this and then smiled.* well of course! just as long as they never meet cody then i dont think they'll be jealous. *he hugged her.* oh im just kidding.
Sarah looked at him and smiled. "Thanks" Sarah then looked at the battle going on no longer scared.
*sirius sighed.* i only wish i could be like Xaver. it sounds like fun! to have a life where you cant tell if your going to be ambushed by your evil twin brother at any moment...
"Well that is okay. I like you anyways." Sarah then smiled.
(I'm lost...)
(haha good luck)
*sirius smiled.* well thanks...
(Ya thanks!) :-\
"Your welcome. I think that I might be leaving to go a place." Sarah looked at him she was not telling him where she was going though.
*sirius looked at her lost.* what?
"I might be going away for a while. I mean I need to get away."
where though? *sirius said lost.* why?
"Well I don't know where." Sarah said looking at them.
"I just have to get away that way."
(yeah yeah thanks for the help...!)
(ah haha we try...we try)
*sirius didn't know how to respond.* but what's to get away from? where would you go?
Sarah looked at him. "Siruis I'm tired of work. I mean I want to quit."
Sarah then looked away. "I'm not sure where I want to go."
well then why dont you just stay here huh? take a little break from work but still stay here...with everyone...
"well I'm not sure." Sarah looked at him. "I mean I might."
ginny talked you into thinking about this didnt she. *sirius said quietly.*
"Ya but Siruis." Sarah looked him in his eyes. "I was going to quit so this would be better since I'm coming back."
(As of now if your inside I'm sitting on a couch 10 feet away if outside well the same only im sitting in a tree.)
(we're outside)
but sarah, why leave? what is so bad that you need to leave? honestly! you have everything you need right here...
Mira practically floated down from the tree she was in. She made a soft thud as her feet met with the brown earth. Slowly she made her way over to Sarah and Sirius. "I'm not taking sides here but... Sirius a girl can need her space...." She pointed out (usefully!)
"Thanks Mira." Sarah looked at Siruis see someone understands.
*siriius growled at mira uncontrollably. since he was part dog, it was hard sometimes to control his dog like instincts.*
"Settle down! I'm not saying she'll leave forever!"
"mira's right Siruis." Sarah looked at him.
"I just need some time to think."
*sirius looked at sarah.* then think here....stay...with me.
"Siruis I'm not sure. I mean I want to be alone."
why though?? *sirius asked confused.* what more do you need? you have alone time anytime. as a matter of fact, here. ill give you alone time right now. *Sirius turned on his heal and apparated to his common room.*
Sarah looked at Mira. "Well I'm going back to my house to pack and tell everyone that I won't be working this week."
Sarah then went to her room. "man he is so so." Sarah then sat on a desk. She was now upset for fighting with ther husband.
(ah haha whoops didnt mean common room lol)
(okay talk to you later)
(wtf? lol)
*sirius slammed the door shut in his offiice and angrily punched his file cabinet, leaving a big dent in it. he yelled in pain as his left knuckles turned red and he kicked the wall.*
*Siruis listen don't be mad at him. I want to talk. * Sarah then set her packed bags.
*I'm going away so are you at least going to tell me bye.*
*Sirius heard her words. as loud as a drum. but he ignored, ignored the one he loved. he didn't want her to leave and he couldn't accept it.*
Sarah knew he heard and then she grabbed her things and went to Ginny's house like she siad.
*Siruis I know you heard me so I thought I would tell you. I'll come back now when I want to and you need to let me do this. I will miss you but what ever.8
Mira apparated to where she knew Sirius would be. "Stop kicking the wall." Her voice was plain and yet sympathetic.
Sarah sat her bags down and looked around. She did not fell like she would like it her.
*Siruis talk to me* Sarah said trying agian.
Mira heard Sarah's thought being sent through the room. She ignored it though hoping Sirius would hear it.
