Have any of you seen Juno?
I doubt it, 'cause it's not exactly a movie for the immature, but I found it to be one of the best movies I've seen in a long time.
It's about a 16 year old girl named Juno, who is impregnated by her best friend, Paulie Bleeker. While she originally plans to have an abortion, she decides instead to give the baby up for adoption. She finds an ad for a wealthy couple, and incidentally goes through nine months of growing up.
I don't do it justice, I'm afraid. But I'll tell you this; I'm pretty much heartless, and I never cry at movies. I cried during Juno. It is possibly one of my favorite movies, and I recommend it for anyone who has gone through a teenage pregnancy, or has someone close to them that has.
I really want to see this. I was going to, but I never found time. Is it out on DVD yet?
Yeah it's finally out on dvd. Its a fantastic movie. I went with a whole bunch of friends and saw it in theaters and we laughed so hard. The music was really good too.
I actually just watched it on DVD yesterday. A delightful movie at the most, I don't really enjoy the message it sends that it makes it seem like its ok to go and get "prego" and that everything will be alright.
The actress that portrays Juno McGuff is absalutly amazing if I do say so myself.
Good movie, you're right though Ginny... not exactly a movie for the immature.
The music was my favorite part! All of the songs were very good and perfect for the movie and its theme and such.
Loved it, just got it on DVD.
"Your baby has fingernails!"
Loved that little Asian girl that stood outside the abortion place
I saw it in the theatres with my mom and my sister. It was kinda awkward because my sister was 15 and pregnant at the time so my mom was keep giving us weird looks. But anyway, the movie was good IMO.
I saw it in theaters, and laugh and cried. It was funny, 'cause my boyfriend took me to see it. There was us and like, five other people in the theater. Most of them were older ladies, and it was so funny how much more relaxed the audience was with so few people. We shouted things out, and said "Oh no!" at the same time. hahaaa.
Anyway, I got it on DVD, because I loved it. The whole reason I went to see it? Ellen Page (Juno) looks kinda like my older sister who got pregnant at 17. And as the movie was coming into theaters, my best friend, she was 16 at the time, had just had a baby girl.
I deal with teen pregnancies quite a lot. Around here, no one likes the idea, but considering our schools refuse to teach the right kind of sex-ed because of government funding, it happens more than it ought to.
I actually went and downloaded a couple of the songs. Type 'Juno soundtrack' into LimeWire to get some of them.
Most of the songs were done by The Moldy Peaches.
Su-Chin...heh...."All babies want to be borned! All babies want to be borned!"
OMG....I saw "Juno" with my boyfriend.....it was hilarious[trust me we had popcorn and soda]
If anyone has the chance to see it better see it because you will definitely like it.
The only song I really digged was All I Want is You by Barry Louis Polisar. I liked how Juno drove a Toyota Previa, the same kind of car my dad had.
Juno was a pretty good movie although some things annoyed me a little bit.
lol....then again alot of things probably annoy you Goblet....

Actually there are few things that annoy me, but they annoy me greatly. Like the FCC for example.
I really liked Juno and it was a GREAT movie. Me and a bunch of my friends went to see it, and for the parts with the chair.... yeah that got awkward... and now my mom wants to watch it with me and so that'll be interesting.... yeah.....
it was okay i guess but i didnt really like the music on it...
You didnd't like the music? Quite honestly that was my very favorite part!

I hate people...
Listen, what does the music have to do with the movie and it's content? My friend's boyfriend told us the movie was stupid because he doesn't like that kind of music.
Seriously, WTF?
And he claims to be a music lover!
A music lover would be someone who loves ALL music, maybe no equally, but all the same. Music lover's don't hate one kind of music. It's impossible to be a music lover if you hate one aspect of what you love.
Yeah that is kind of messed up!
I just watched Juno yesterday, and I had totally forgotten the extent to which I love that movie!

well I love music, but only certain kinds
Music lover here....I like all music genres but some just more than others..... :D
Yeah, but for me I like all genres, but only certain songs within them
i like emo, punk, and sometimes country, rap, hiphop...but nothing really else. like i said im not much a music lover.
It seems as if you like a lot of different kinds of music though
yeah i do just some i just dont really care for such as on Juno it's music...it wasnt very good to me.
I really liked it! I thought it was the perfect music for the movie, and I really liked the lyrics to the songs as well.
yeah that probly is true but like i said it wasnt my type of music. i kinda liked the last song they played but i dont remember what it was called...i liked the beat.
Anyone Else But You
My absolute favorite song on Juno.
'Here is the church, here is the steeple. We sure are cute for two ugly people. I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else.'
Heh...good thing you couldn't hear me do that, I suck at singing!
lmao okay okay i wont talk in here about their music anymore
lol Ginny you're so funny! I love that song!
I love the part where Juno is talking to Su-chin outside of the abortion place.
"Yeah I heard about this girl that ripped off her clothes and jumped in the fountain at the mall and was like 'I am the kraken from the sea!'" "I heard that was you." "Well it was nice to see you Su-chin"
Haha, that part was hilarious!
Okay, a lot of the movie was hilarious, hahah.
Like when Brenda tells off the Ultrasound Tech....heehee
Yeah that's hillarious!!
Juno has some great quotes though! Here's just a couple that I remember:
"He is the cheese to my macaroni"
"Honest Blog?" (Ok that was Leah, but still it was in the movie!)
"Can't we just squeeze it out and hand it over?"
"I'm giving you the miracle of life! Kicking, screaming, pooping life!"
Haha I still can't get over Su-chin. MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE QUOTE was from the Lady in the abortion place. Please excuse my talk about sexual matters but here it is..
"His Junk smells like Pie."
Haha me and my friend Taylor kept whispering that to each other in youth group and during literature.
my favortie part is when Juno goes...
"Gosh Bananas shut your freakin gob."
or something like that...
I can just sit here and laugh from reading this topic XD
I KNOW HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!lol
All babies want to be borned...Classic
babies have finger nails.!!!!!!!!!
Boisonberry flavored Condoms :o... >_<;; Haha
I want to see the movie but I don't know where I could see it!!!!

*Juno did you barf in my urn?*
haha large blue slushies.
I can take a search on the net... :P
with all of the time you spend on here, you can watch it online ^_^ I started to, but my friend let me borrow the movie.
Lol! I just watched it last night and I love the part where Juno's like "You're so cool and you dont even have to try!" "I try really hard actually"

XD I still love the Pie Part.
His junk smells like pie.
Yeah that's pretty funny! I love Su chin though.... she's funny.
I had to watch it for heath last year. I still haven't told my parents that I have seen the movie.
That movie is one that you can watch several times and not get bored.
Ah, upon further reflection of the movie, I thought it was trying too hard to be cute and then asked me to take it seriously, which I couldn't.
Must keep Topic alive!!!!
Yes. It did try a little too hard to be cute. But towards the end when Juno and Bleeker where laying in the Hospital bed was a sad/ serious moment. This movie caused me to crave a large blue raspberry slushie..

I'm gonna be honest. I started crying at that part. Like, tears running down my face and my boyfriend getting all worried cause he thought something was really wrong. Hahaa.
I wanna try a slushi like that now.
I don't really remember my first reaction, but I don't think I actually cried. It is really sad though. Movies are odd to me. Some are normal tear jerkers. Everyone wants to cry. Some are ones only I cry to and people look at me like "Your serious?"
Yeah..you know the Little Mermaid? How Ursala(sp) changed King Triton into that...I'm-not-sure-what-it-is-thing? That made me tear up.
