It wasn't often that Ginny was at the school. She had agreed to be a substitue teacher for extra money, and she had agreed to teach a weekly class. But she spent most of her time at home, or at her parent's home. She wasn't as sociable as she had been years past, and was actually a lot happier because of it.
Less people, less stress.
Today was the first day of her weekly class. It had been decided that she only need teach this class once a week, since most of the kids would catch on quickly. It was a strange class...a mix between Divination, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Care of Magical Creatures, and Potions. In fact, there was a little bit of every class that was taught at Hogwarts in her class. Ginny was simply passing on her knowledge of survival.
She stood now inside of an empty classroom, her back to the door. She stared out the window, wanting nothing more than to see her baby. Both of her babies, actually. But she and Xaver had sen each other only in passing lately. She worried about him. And she worried about Cody. Not seeing his dad was really hurting the boy. She sighed as the bell rang, loud and obnoxious.
Billie walked into Ginny class dreading it. She made sure she got a desk in the front corner as she starting thinking of ways to get to know her more. Then the rest of the student started pouring in groups at a time.
Ginny flinched slightly when the late bell rang and the last of the students poured into the room. She turned then, facing the room with a small smile. She looked to the door, and the second she laid eyes on it, it snapped closed. She didn't use a wand, or a spell to do it. She had simply closed it. From across the room.
She walked slowly to the front of the room, tapping her desk, watching the students watch her. All was silent, except for the occasional squeak of sneakers from somebody shifting in their seat. Ginny pursed her lips, then let out a low breath, "Hi guys. I'm used to seeing most of you, but a few of you I've never seen before...I'm Ginny Weasly. I'm your teacher for this...class." For lack of a better word.
She watched them, then shrugged, "So um...what do you guys want to learn about today?"
Billie raised her hand "Whats your favorite class to teach"?" she said trying to suck up to her so they could become friends. "Because if its a subject you dont like then you wont teach it as well as a class that you like andI think since your the teacher you should choose" she said and out on her best fake smile then she looked down on the table and was ready to start working
"My favorite...class..." Ginny was caught of guard with that one, "Um...well...I don't..." She stopped, confused with herself, causing the class to giggle. She flushed slightly, laughing with them, "Sorry guys. My head isn't on right today. I guess today we'll just go over some goals for this semester, ok?"
She turned, picking up chalk, "Okay, goal number 1, "She began to write on the board, reading aloud as she did so. "'To be able to protect my self.' Okay, I assume you all get the idea of this one, right?"
Billie sighed and put her head down as a tear rooled down her cheek she quickly wiped it away beofre Ginny saw then she looked back up and made some note "How do you protect yourself?" Billie asked before she could stop herself
"Well, this class will be about me teaching you how to protect yourself." She grinned, then stopped, "Or do you mean how do I protect myself?"
Ginny smiled slightly, her eyes lighting up with the warm smile. Her teeth shone white in the sun, and her hair glistened a bright red. She looked even younger from the flush on her cheeks that came from being slightly embarrassed and confused.
"That's something I'll be doing a lot. You guys will get so tired of my stories." She laughed.
"How do you protect yourself I mean do you get help from the Ministry or the schools?" She said and smiled as she wrote a little more down on her report to the ministry about Ginny then sadness find her again
Ginny smiled widely, "I protect myself...by myself." She paused, a flash of anger in her eyes, "The Ministry is useless. They are corrupt, weak, and worthless." She shook her head, her obvious anger dissipating slowly.
"I protect myself with everything I can. I am a skilled witch, with and without a wand. I am probably the most powerful psychic you'll ever meet, and I know how fist fight pretty dam well." She grinned, "You'll understand all."
She turned back to the board, "Goal number two. 'To be able to protect those I love.' Get that one?"
Billie wrote everything down that Ginny said and then stopped and looked at the board "How do you keep yours safe I mean do you go behind someones back that you know hasn't done anything wrong?" Billie asked her putting her notes up
Ginny smiled sadly, "I used top think I would never do something like that." She told Billie. She looked at the class with sad eyes. A boy in the back spoke up.
"Used to?" He asked.
Ginny nodded, "Before I fell in love. Before my son was born."She hesitated, "Now, I will do anything to keep those I love safe and happy...even if it means doing many other things that are wrong."
"Would you ever blame someone for something they didn't do?" she asked
"If I had no other option." Ginny said softly. She sighed, "I'd try to find some other way...but if I had to, I would."
She wrote again on the board, "Goal number three, 'to always follow Life's Laws.' I'll teach you all of those, so no worries."
Billie kept quiet and started to write things down again
"Okay..um, I can't think of anything else right now." Ginny chcukled, putting th chalk down and brushing off her hands.
"As you can tell, this class is gong to be very personal for me...so is there anything you guys want to know?"
James had known he was late. He had got distrated studing for a test. He then decided it was better late then never. He opened the door and walked in and to a sit with out saying anything.
He knew that he would most likly be in trouble but he was at least glad he would learn something.
Albus was sitting in the back of the class room. He had been quiet all the time, while he paid attention to Ginny. It was a bit odd Albus thouhgt that Billie asked so many questions. It wasn't like her.
He didn't feel like asking any questions today, so he just sat there quietly.
The protectiong himself part was easy in the winter. But now, when the summer had came, he was pretty much powerless.
The entier room turned to watch James walk in, and Ginny raised an eyebrow.
"You're late." She said bluntly. She jerked her head towards an empty desk, "Have a seat, and copy the board."
She paused, as though remembering something, "Oh yeah, and anybody who's late...well, you missed most of the class, so who knows what'll happen." She shrugged, letting them use their imaginations. Then she tapped her lip thoughtfully.
"There's still 20 minutes left until the bell..." She pointed out, "I guess I'll just tell you about myself."
She smiled, then sat on the top of her desk, her legs swinging. Her black teachers robes settled around her, moving only with her feet.
"I'm 21 years old...I went to Hogwarts for 4 full terms, and dropped out in my 5th year. When I was 15, I was an auror, Head of the Wizemagot (the Wizarding court), a Time Official, and a teacher. I was also married to this one guy, but he's a jerk." She paused, smiling a little.
"Anyway, I divorced my jerky husband, and actually continued teaching. Probably some of your parents either went to school with me or was one of my students. Um...when I was 17, I quit all of my jobs and disappeared off the face of the earth until recently."
She grinned, "Anything else you guys would like to know?"
Billie looked up at her "Have you ever done something really bad or would you have someone hurt someone for you?" she asked
"I've done a lot of bad things. How bad do you want? I probably did it." Ginny shrugged slightly, nonplussed. She smiled at Billie, "And no. I wouldn't get someone else to do my dirty work."
She chuckled then, "Oh, I forgot to mention. The smell of blood makes me physically sick."
"That is something we dont have in common I love the smell of blood" BIllie mumbled as she wrote the weakness down
Ginny laughed, "I suppose some do. Most regular people don't mind it. I hate it." She shrugged.
"Hmm..what else? Oh, I have a four, almost five year old son named Cody. He's adorable." She smiled, her eyes lighting up again with her apparent love for the boy.
"I met him in the forest once he has beautiful eyes" she said smiling then looked down at her note and ripped them up and put them in her bag "So wheres his father?" Billie asked expecting him to be at home or work
"Cody's father?" Ginny smiled sadly, "Right now, who knows? He's probably in his home realm, fixing the whole war problem. Or maybe he's at home, getting the little sleep he'll be able to have this week." She gave a little shrug, a sad one. She missed Xaver, he was her one true love, or so the saying goes.
"Oh maybe, Xaver is hurt, unable to reach me with his mind because he can't stay conscious long enough." She paused, shaking her head, "My finance leads a dangerous life."
"Oh I'm sorry I hope you see him soon then I bet Cody misses him a lot and I hope he comes home safe if he isnt there right now" Billie said as she looked up at Ginny
((You need to use some punctuation...that was a huge run-on sentence...))
Ginny smiled, "Thank you." She looked out t the rest of the class, thinking about what else she should tell them.
"Hmmm....I'm the seventh child in my family, and the only girl. My brothers are all older than I, and pains in the neck, as you can imagine."
(okay thanks if you see anything else I can improve on please tell me)
"Six brothers I thought one was hard" Billie muttered to herself smiling. "So there were seven kids and, then your parents you must of had a huge house" Billie said as she looked out a window then at the bored again.
Ginny snickered, "Not really. Bill and Charlie shared a room, the twins had a room, and Ron and Percy shared a room. I got my own room, seeing as I'm the only girl." She shook her head, "My family wasn't exactly well endowed."
She chuckled slightly, "How many of you have heard of Weasly's Wizard Wheezes? That joke shop belongs to my brothers Fred and George."
"Oh well at least you got your own room." Billie then thought of Weasly's Wizard Wheezes *the really cute red heads?* she thought to herself the blushed a little as she remembered people could read her mind
Ginny suddenly burst out laughing as she heard Billie's loud and revealing thought.
"Yes, I suppose the cute red heads would be them!" She giggled, "Everyone in my family has red hair like mine."
She pulled a few strands around, touching the impossibly soft bright red hair that adorned her head. She grinned, "No one has hair quite like ours."
Billies jaw dropped and then put her head on the table and put her arms around her head. Then she could feel the heat coming off her face as she blushed. After a few minutes she looked back up "Well they are cute and you do have pretty hair" she said then put her head back back and giggled
Alex ran into the class panting hard. "S-sorry Ginny I mean uh-uh...." He tried to catch his breath and realized he was standing by Ginny's desk like an idiot. Oh shoot I forgot I'm not supposed to call her Ginny in classes....
((sorry I covered that up but I totally forgot what your "new" last name is after "you got married".))
Ginny smirked at Billie, then looked in surprise at Alex, "Professor Weasly." She corrected him gently. She looked him over, then nodded towards the chairs, "Take a seat. Class is almost over."
Billie looked at the time they only had a few minutes left of class. *then I can get out of here and stop embarrassing myself* Billie started to think then out her head down really fast
James was copying down everything that was on the board with a spell he knew this would be the only way that he would get all of the note taken. He know felt sort of bad that he was busy studing for a different test and showed up late.
"So Ginny you said that you dropped out of school. You ever wish that you could have done everything you did and still got to finish." James was wondering to him how it would be to drop out and not come back.
Alex embarrassed went to sit down in his seat. "Wow...what a silly question..." He muttered under his breath.
"It isn't silly at all." Ginny snapped at Alex. She nodded at James, "I wish every day that I had done nothing I did." She said, quietly.
"I never wanted to go through so much...I didn't want to grow up before I was 13. But I had to, and I had to quit school. Especially after Albus Dumbledore died." She paused, "Once he was gone, I knew there was nothing left this school could teach me. I had already stopped going to most of my classes."
She sighed, "Dropping out of school was possibly the biggest mistake of my life. And I've made a lot of mistakes, mind you."
James looked at him. "Well thanks Ginny. I mean your great at answering my questions."
James was sitting there listening and taking notes on everything.
Alex looked surprised that Proffesor Weasly could hear her but he smirked either way. Alex wrote whatever was on the board.
Billie sat there not saying anything and just writing down notes
The bell suddenly rang, loudly and clearly. Ginny smiled, looking relieved and nodded to the students, "I guess I'll see you all next week."
She paused, "Oh, and next week, make sure you wear casual clothes that you can get dirty."
Billie looked at the kids run out of the classromm. Billie walked up to Ginny "Why are we going to get dirty next week?" Billie asked "What are we goin to do?" she added
"I'm gonna kick your butts." Ginny said, a big smile appearing on her face. She chuckled lightly, "Well, kinda."
"I'm going to show you how to fight."
James looked at her. It had been awhile since he fought so he was not sure what to do.
"Okay I will wear them."
Billie laughed "I can't wait" she said and walked out the door
