Noelle walked around the forest alone, thinking about everything at Hogwarts. She readjusted the small blue bow in her hair. She looked around, afraid that someone was watching her...
Bille walked out from behind a tree she was out hunting and she got a small sent of blood and followed it and then saw a girl she didn't know and she followed her until they were deep in the forest she walked up to the girl "Hey who are you?" she asked in a strange voice she hasn't had since she was younger and it frighted her
And someone was, though it was a small someone. A little boy of about 4 or 5 years peered around the tree, accidentally meeting Noelle's eyes. He sighed and stepped out, exposing himself, his palms facing upward in the air in an expression of giving up. Behind him stood a dark gray wolf, which ignored all the humans, and instead seemed to watch all around them.
The boy had black, obsidian hair, ice blue eyes, and pale skin. He wore black and green, obviously trying to fit in with the scenery. He smiled, his adorable face lighting up, "Sorry miss. You were so easy to follow." He spoke easily, unlike any other small child. He looked at Billie with a slight smiling, unsure of he had ever met either of them before.
Noelle smiled at the small child. "I guess I don't pay too much attention, do I?" She laughed softly, then walked over to him. "Your Cody, right? I've met your mother before."
The she turned to Billie, curious for she had not met the girl. She hadn't met a lot of the newer students though, after she took a break from Hogwarts. It felt good to be back. "I'm Noelle Lange. I don't believe we've met before. You must have came here while I was gone."
Cody grinned, clasping his hands together happily, "Yes." He answered with a cheerful tone. He chuckled, then reached back, his fingers curling the fur of the old wolf next to him. He watched the two girls closely, "Don't you guys have classes right now?"
"Your Ginnys son?" She said again her voice changing back to normal then she finally smiled "I'm on leave right now for school" She said then turned to Noelle "I must have I'm Billie Billie Jones" she said happily as she calmed down a lot then looked at the little boy again "Why are you out here by yourself?"
Cody smiled, "Yes'm. Ginny is my mother." He tilted his head slightly, looking at Billie with gorgeous blue eyes. He was identical to his father, who had often been complimented on his looks. He continued smiling, even after Billie's question.
"I'm not alone. I have Moonlight." He patted the wolf, "Besides, Grandmum can find me easily."
Noelle admired the wolf. She had always been facinated by them. "I don't have classes this morning. They let me have a day off to get settled back in." She explained. "What are you and Moonlight doing out here, Cody?" She asked sweetly.
Billie smiled at him "you have some of the prettiest eyes I've ever seen you know" she said looking at his eyes then she looked at the wolf and took a step back "Moonlight is it strange name" she said looking at the wolf
"My mom named him." Cody said, grinning and hugging the wolf fiercely. "She's known him since she was a second year."
Moonlight turned his yellow eyes upon the two girls, then away. He wasn't interested in them at all
"Moonlight keeps track of me when I play out here. He's the only reason Mom and Grandmum let me." Cody grinned wickedly, "There's only one way to get away from him, and I don't do it often."
"Really thats good you can play out here I mean it can be a lot of fun when theres not anything out here" Billie said then looked at the wolf "So how old is he?"
Cody shrugged, "I dunno. Old I guess." He stopped then grinned again, "But that's not to say he isn't scary. He's the last of the Untouchables...the pack of wolves my mom used spells on to protect them..nothing but natural death can harm them."
"And he's fast...he can jump high too. I had to be up at least fifteen feet before he couldn't reach me..."
Billie laughed and smiled at him "really thats really really cool"
Noelle smiled at the child. He was definatly smart for his age. "You lucky you have him to watch you. It can be pretty dangorous out here, expecially for someone as young as you..."
She walked over the wolf. "Can I pet him?" She asked curiously. She loved animals, expecially dogs and wolves.
Alex came running out of nowhere. (sorry I needed an excuse to be here...I want to pet the wolf :D )
"Hey rebels, not going to class?"
Billie turned "I'm on leave which means I have reason to be out of class right now" she said as she looked at Alex
Cody smiled,"I don`t need him to protect me." What the girls did not know was that Cody was stronger than he looked. He nodded when they asked to pet Moon, "Go ahead. He won`t try to hurt you unless me or Mom says."
Billie kneeled and started to pet the wolf "Hes very cute" Billie said smiling as she petted him
Noelle stroked the wolf fur gentally, then scratched him under the ears. "He seems like a really good wolf. Your lucky." A smile came across her face, which didn't happen often. She had always wanted a wolf of her own.
"I want to pet him....may I?" He asked Cody hesitant to pet Moon.
Cody nodded, "It's okay to pet him. He doesn't bite much."
He frowned slightly, "I suppose I'm lucky." He agreed softly, "But I would rather hang out with my mom or dad." He reached down, rubbing the spot between Moon's eyes. The wolf seemed to close his eyes, but in reality left one part way open.
"My mom is a teacher at the school, and my dad is King of his realm, with no one he can trust. I haven't seen him in...a long time." Cody looked down, his voice very soft. He was sad, but he wouldn't cry like any other five year old would have. In fact, he didn't even tear up like a normal child would.
He simply stood almost completely still, only his fingers moving where he was petting Moonlight.
"Oh I'm sorry it must be hard" Billie said standing up and looking at Cody
Cody's eyes grew dark, "More so than you know." He paused, then spoke roughly in Italian, "Il mio padre è l'unica persona che può insegnarmi che cosa essere Caduto è."
"Being one of the only two Fallen in this realm is hard. Especially since I never see the other one." Cody was growing angry.
((FYI, Cody said something about his father teaching him how to be a Fallen. But your characters don't know that.))
Billie looked at the boy wondering what in the world he had said "I'm sorry but at least you have you mom to take care of you" Billie said saddened by the boy
"Amo il mio amore dei genitori... I la mia mamma. Ma a volte li odio per dare alla luce me." Cody snapped out, his words sharp. Then, for good measure, he repeated the last sentence in English, "I hate them for giving birth to me."
He was flustered, upset that he was telling these strangers things. He took a few steps back, throwing his hands up, even as he scowled darkly.
"You shouldn't someday you'll have both of them together and and you'll be happy with them just give it time" Billie said
"You don't understand." Cody snapped, "How could you? I'm so different, there is no one like me."
He growled, "People have their own problems, and I should remember to keep mine to myself." He turned on his heel, as though to walk away. Moonlight snapped his eyes open and barked once, standing and going after Cody.
At the sound of the wolf's bark, Cody lept up in the air. Without warning large black wings appeared from his shoulders, flapping to keep him airborne. They were too large for his body, but not anywhere as large as his father's. They spread out, each wing about the same length of his body. The black feathers matched his hair in the way that as the sunlight hit him, they reflected red.
Cody spun in the air, twenty or so feet above the small group and looked down at them, his wings flapping to keep him airborne. He said nothing, just clenched his fists in anger.
Billie just stared at Cody as he flew away "He has beautiful wings" she said softly as she watched him
"Hey look Cody calm down. If you hate them for giving birth to you, you would not be here right now flying in the air...and you are a special child. A one of a kind child, you see I would want you as my younger brother." He said in a soothing voice trying to calm Cody down and stay on land.
"You and who else?" Cody growled, through gritted teeth. "The Ministry wants me dead, people are afraid of me simply because I am Fallen, my father hates me, my mother cries herself to sleep each night because of me, I'm a danger to myself and everyone around me, despite the Ministry, everyone in my father's family wants me dead because I am the heir to his throne, my mother's enemies want me dead simply to hurt her....who would want me as a brother? My own parents are afraid to make a brother of me!"
He bit his lip to stop talking, and looked down at Moonlight, who was watching him closely. The wolf sat back suddenly and opened it mouth, letting out a sharp, loud, overwhelming howl.
"I would want you as my younger brother. You're different but that's good...I'm different too. If people want you dead.....fight back.....you're a special little boy that should be proud of your special abilities and your background." He shouted trying to get Cody to fly down and calm down.
((Cody's up in the air already.))
Noelle felt her eyes water up, seeing the boy in so much pain. She knew what it felt like, when you felt as if you were a mistake. She looked up to Cody, wishing she knew the right words to say to the child. "Cody... Please come down." She said softly.
Cody looked down at Noelle, the girl who had spoken so little and suddenly felt even worse. Not only was he all of the things he mentioned before, but he had made some random girl upset. He felt like garbage, at least until the wind picked up and focused in one spot, directly beside the howling wolf.
From the wind appeared Ginny, looking just as young as the students beside her in her jeans and t-shirt.
"Xerxes Codium Xian, I don't know what kind of fit you decided to have, but if you don't get your butt down here now, it's going to be plenty sore in a few minutes!" She spoke in a no-nonsense tone, scowling at her son. She glanced at the students, "I'm sorry you guys."
Cody folded his arms, "No!" He was, for once, acting his age.
Ginny put her hands on her hips, looking very much the harassed mother she was, "Cody. Now!"
Noelle turned around to see Ginny, yelling at Cody. She quickly looked back to Cody, unsure of what to do. She backed away from the scene a bit and decided to keep quiet. She folded her arms across her and looked down at her feet.
Ginny closed her eyes, sighing and rubbing the bridge of her nose, "What do you want me to do, Cody?" She asked, "I can't get a hold of him! I've been trying, angel, but it's like the last time...." Ginny's voice cracked, and faltered, and she stopped speaking.
Cody continued to glare at her, though. "You can do almost anything! Don't lie to me! You can make him come back!"
((oops sorry...modified it....))
Alex looked as son and mother bickered back and forth. He sat down on a rock and said to himself quietly, "This may take a while...."
Cody looked down at Alex, feeling foolish now. His cheeks grew pink and he slowly began to lower himself.
Ginny watched him, shaking her head slowly, but not saying anything.
"Wow amazingly...only took a few minutes," He looked at his watch. "Wow five minutes...if I fought with my mother....it would have at least taken twenty....."
