Sarah was sitting in the shop. She had about 4 butterbeer bottles laying on the ground. She was not sure why but for somereason she did not care if she had a problem. The ones that she was not wanting to find out knew and that ment it did not matter anymore.
"Well this is a great picture." Sarah said as she was looking at it and drinking another bottle. This one was allof her kids and Siruis smiling happy together. Sarah was not in this one on purpose she thought that if she would be in it then the happiness was going to go away. She knew that this was going to take some time for her to get used to but she was not sure that she was ready for it though.
Sky noticed the shop in Hogsmeade and decided to walk in. There she seen Sarah. "Wow Sarah, its been a long time!" She smiled with her greeting until she seen the bottles. "Something wrong Sarah?"
Sarah looked up at her. "I am doing okay. I mean it is nothing. My kids just found out about my past." Sarah then downed the rest of that bottle.
Sky sighed and pulled up a chair. "Want to talk about it?" She eyed the bottles. "Sarah...thats alot of butterbeer. I think you better lay off..."
Sarah looked at her. "What to talk about. I mean I broke into Gringott's and can do the Curcio spell almost as good at the Dark Lord himself. And that was when I was still in Hogwarts."
Sarah then looked at the bottles. "okay I guess I can. I mean that why I quit teaching at the school"
Sky looked around the building then back at Sarah. "Sarah..we all make mistakes. I mean..I don't want you telling anyone this because I could be arrested, but I joined the Dark Lord a few months ago and got away. I used Crucio on Billie by accident. I'm lucky I gave her medicine before any long term affects could happen." She sighed. "I know how you feel."
Sarah looked at Sky. "There no way I would tell anyone your secreat. I mean I wanted it to be kept quiet. Do me a favor though. Make sure James is okay if you see him. I mean he taking it the hardest."
Sarah then stood up. "So how the new teacher that took my place."
((heh..I didnt know Hagrid wasn't there. I'll edit it.))
Sky smiled. "Mr.Hugo? Oh he's just a lazy sack of stupid. He doesn't know a Centaur from a werewolf. That, to me, is idiotic. So he has me come in and teach classes while he gets paid because I'm older than the other students and have a knack for his class." She laughed. "Its not my favorite though." She thought of James. "Oh I remember him. I'll make sure he does okay."
(that fine. Sarah was subbing for him but left when James found out about his mom/)
"okay you do that." Sarah smiled. "It is hard to find people like me and Hagrid that really do care about them. You look like you know alot though."
Sarah was then going over and feeding a owl. "I felt as if though that I need to get away from there and work on this shop.
Sky looked around the shop. It was a nice place. "Well Mr.Hugo was kind enough to give me a quarter of his pay for the extra lesson. So thats kind of nice. I just started today though. He wanted me to start on extra lessons before going onto the main stuff. He's such a lazy bum." She laughed.
((So whats up with James? I missed out on alot..))
Sarah smiled at him. "Well I guess that you will get better. So what you want to be when you get out of school."
Sky thought for a minute. "Well...I really did want to be a Defense Against The Dark Arts teacher..but I'm thinking about a muggle job too or play music." She never told anyone about her secret talent. She hadn't practiced in ages, but she played Guitar.
"Well why don't you do the DADA teacher. Plus do your sceret muggle talent for fun." Sarah looked at her.
"I mean i paint. Look around this place. It is covered with my work."
Sky looked around at the walls. Sarah was talanted at painting. "Well..The DADA teacher already knows what they are doing. And if I have a chance to get paid, then I'm gonna take it. I mean, I might not favor this class, but I'm good with it." She sighed. "I can't play until I save enough money for a new guitar. Mine broke a few months ago."
Sarah smiled at her. She had looked at her.
"How about you come here on the weekends and help out and watch over my son." Sarah stood up. "I can pay you."
She hadnt meant to make it sound like she wanted money. "Well..I don't mind helping, but I don't want pay Sarah. I'm only getting paid from Mr.Hugo because he's a stupid old fart." She chuckled.
Sarah smiled at her. "Hey no. I mean I want to." She then used magic to clean up the bottles. "I would not want to just have you work here and not get something out of it. I will pay you for your help."
She smiled. "I really appreciate it Sarah. I mean REALLY appreciate it." She was really excited. "So James isn't taking things over so well?"
Sarah smiled. "you are ready."
She then looked at her. "No he is not. I mean he also has problems because he can control elements. He also great at magic so I am afaird he might turn out and do something like I did."
"Elements huh? Thats a pretty special and rare gift there." Sky said and looked at Sarah's face. It was covered with Worry and Regret. "Sarah...he'll be fine." She said finally.
Sarah looked at her. "Ya well he is an expert at elements since I taugh you. Plus he is an Anamegus."
She smiled at her. "I hope that you are right. I will trust you."
"An Animagus too? With those powers, he could be an Auror. Do you want me to talk to him about...you know. This whole problem and anger thing?"
Sarah looked at her. "Well you think you would. I mean I really want him to change and get better. I mean your right. He could be a great Auror just like his dad."
She sat back down as she moved her newest picture.
"Don't worry Sarah. He's just a boy. What grade is he in now? Anyway, he's got a long time to figure out things. He won't stay mad at you forever."
"He is a 5 year. He is really bright though." Sarah started to water all the animals. "I hope that you are right though."
Sky smiled. "Hm. I'm a sixth year. He's just a year or two younger."
Sarah smiled. "Ya he is a year younger then you and he is a handful."
Sarah looked at her. "You will have in him your class maybe and he will be a but. I know he will."
She laughed and got up to help with the animals. "I'm going to be seventeen next week. I'm going to move up to seventh year once I finish my paperwork. Over the last few months that I was away, I miss alot of homework. So I am just now getting it done."
"Miss Sarah?" The door was pushed open, and four year old Cody stood there. He looked around for Sarah, his grin wide and then ran to her, hugging her around the waist. The child wore blue jeans and a dark green t-shirt, play clothes by all means.
"Hi Miss Sarah! My mom said I could come see the animals today, if it's okay with you, that is." He looked up, his ice blue eyes begging her to say it was okay. He really liked Sarah, saw her as someone he could talk to. Even though she was a grown up and he just a small child.
Ginny came in behind him, but stood in the doorway, one hand on her hip. She was shaking her head at Cody and smiling. She was dressed rather differently, a yellow sun dress that made her seem like a flame with her red hair. She obviously had work to do.
"Cody, don't hang." She said, taking a few steps into Sarah's shop. She smiled at Sarah and Sky, "Hi guys. Sorry to interrupt, but do you mind watching Cody for a bit Sarah? I have to go see Sam, and I'd rather not have Cody try time travel yet."
Sarah bent down and hugged the little fellow with at great big smiled.
"Sure Ginny I would love to watch him. You know that. He also going to be a big help around here." She then walked over to Ginny. "I will keep him out of trouble. Later we need to talk about some things if you don't mind though."
she then turned to Cody. "HOw about you go run and give those dogs some food."
Ginny smiled, though it was slightly guilty, "Sure, Sarah. Thanks so much, Cody just loves you." She bent down, holding her arms out to Cody, "Bye angel baby." Cody went to her, kissing her cheek and hugging her back.
"Bye Mom," He said, before turning to Sarah and nodded, "Sure!" He said, giving his mom one last squeeze then running off to do as Sarah asked.
Ginny straightened up, "Thanks again, Sarah. I appreciate it." With that, she turned and left the shop.
"your welcome." She said as ginny left. She then went over to getting the last of the things done with the owl. She then walked to the back door.
"Hey there Cody want to mess with some real creatures." Sarah was smileing at him. She then walked out the door and went to pond. She was working with the mermaids and unicorn.
"Yeah!" Cody glanced at Sky, his grin wide.
"I don't get to come here often, but I love helping Miss Sarah. She's really nice." He ran a hand through his black hair, his small teeth perfectly white. He followed Sarah outside, slowly walking to a unicorn, reaching out gently.
He had his mothers fondness for animals. Not only that, they considered Cody to be almost one of them.
Sarah looked at him as pet uni. "Cody come here and give the unicorn that bucked of food okay."
Sarah then pointed to that bucket. She was working with mermaids today. "You can then hang with the mermaids too."
She was putting there potion in the water as she then laid on the ground as it desolved.
"`Kay." Cody walked over, lifting the bucket of hay with both hands and carefully delivering it to Uni.
He slowly pet the unicorns mane, his smile wide and happy.
Uni smiled as the boy brought her food. She went to eat some of it and then laid there and let him play with her. She was one of those that like males just as much as females and no one knew why really.
"She seems to like you Cody. Maybe later you can go for a ride."
"That's ok. I'd rather walk or fly than ride another." Cody said, looking over at Sarah with a small smile.
He was quiet a moment, "Miss Sarah, has the unicorn ever been near my dad?"
Sarah looked at Cody and then smiled and looked at him.
"yes your dad has been near this unicorn. I mean he healed her once. She drank some of Siruis potion and got really sick. That all most caused me and Siruis to seprate forever." Sarah looked at Cody.
"Your dad did something to bring it back to me and I owe him."
Sky smiled at Cody. He seemed pretty grown up for his young age. She glanced at the Unicorn then at Sarah. "Um..Is there anything you need Sarah?" She looked around the shop then back at the Unicorn. "Want me to give the Unicorn a bath?"
Sarah looked at Sky and smiled. "Well I was thinking she might need one but she just ate so needs to rest some before anything."
She sat up thinking about what to do.
"Alright." Sky said. She yawned. "Have you eaten anything Cody? Sarah?"
Sarah looked at her and then smiled. "Well no I have not eaten at all."
Sky smiled. "Well...how about I get you guys something to eat? Maybe I can get a pizza..or something."
She smiled. "that is fine. I mean I depends on what Cody wants and if he eats."
Sarah smiled as one of the mermaids can up.
Sky nodded. "Okie Dokie."
"I figured my dad did something with this unicorn...I can feel him..." Cody said, softly. When Sky asked if he had eaten he nodded.
"Mom made me eat before we left...but I'll eat anything you bring here." He grinned, patting his small stomach. He ate a lot, much like his dad and mom. Xaver ate all his food at once, devouring plates upon plates. Ginny ate very little at meals, but constantly throughout the day. And yet all three of the family were skinnier than needed.
Sarah smiled as she looked at him. "Well that fine. You can get some more food."
She looked at Sky. "Get what ever you want. I will pay."
She then walked over and took a brust and started to brush Uni. "Yes he helped hat get better. I mean I love it."
Cody nodded at Sarah, "I can feel his magic on her." He stepped away from Uni and sat cross legged on the ground, then flopped onto his back, looking up but not really seeing anything.
He was silent then, lost in his own thoughts. Thoughts of his dad, and his mom.
Sky took some Galleons from her hoodie pocket. "No." She said. "Please. Let me pay." She insisted. "What would you like Cody? Sarah?"
Sarah smiled as she looked at her. "Well I am fine with whatever."
"So am I." Sky said. She thought for a moment. "We could get pizza..chicken...or subs. I don't care. I'm starved." Sky laughed.
"I'll eat anything," Cody said, absently, still looking up.
He wondered, absently, why his mom had refused to take him with her. It angered him, actually, because he knew where she was going.
((Sorry I've been 1-2 lining alot. Been sneaking on the compooper. XP))
"Alright." Sky said. "I'll come back with something." She walked over to the door. "Do you need me to pick up anything Sarah?" Sky asked before opening the door.
"Kay." Cody mummbled, closing his eyes and seemingly drifting off to sleep.
In reality, he was as wide awake as he'd been all day. He was just thinking, and didn't want any distractions at the moment. Frustration settled upon his outward features, his adorable face frowning.
Why wouldn't they take him anywhere?
Too dangerous, they always claimed.
He was too young, they always said.
Too dangerous? What about the dangers they faced? Too young? Maybe in body, but not in mind, nor power. He gritted his teeth, his frown deepening.
Sarah smiled as she looked at Cody she knew that something was up. She was going to talk to Cody about it. "Well I don't need anything Sky thanks for asking."
She then walked over to cody and sat next to him. She knew from talking to him that he did have it harder then most kids his age. He was stronger then them please more. *Cody when she lives we are going to talk ok. I mean I know that you have something on your mind.*
"Yes ma'am." Cody said aloud, his eyes still closed. He had not yet mastered telepathy, his mother refused to teach it to him.
She had once said he already had the power to control others with his words, that using his mind was just cheating.
Something else that wasn't fair. She spent all day teaching prepubescent kids how to use telepathy and other psychic powers, but she wouldn't even teach him how to respond telepathically.
His parents refused to teach him anything, it seemed.
Sky walked out of the door and headed to a small restaurant. She figured Cody and Sarah could talk, so she would take her time.
Sarah smiled once she saw Sky shut the door and then she looked at Cody and went to talk to him. "okay Cody you going to feel me in on what is going on. I mean I something it I know it."
She then sat next to him. "Normally you are all jumpy and happy. No you seem as if you are upset." Sarah knew he always made here happy so it was her time to help him out.
"It's nothing important, Miss Sarah. Simply my displeasure with my parents."
A long pause.
"They treat me like a baby...and Dad leaves to go to his realm, which I'm supposed to be the Prince of, but I've never even seen the place...and Mom refuses to take me with her to her Kingdom...and they won't teach me telepathy, and Mom won't even let me stay home alone....Dad keeps leaving....and I just get so lonely!"
He kept his eyes shut tight as he spoke, screwing them up and frowning strongly.
He wanted someone to always be there.
Not an adult.
A friend of his own.
"Well I am sure that you can find someone. I am sorry that this has happened to you. I mean if I had a kid your age then I would let you hang with you. The only thing is that I don't." Sarah sat there looking at the boy. She really did feel bad for him and wanted to help him.
She then looked at her feet. "you know that the worse thing is that you are stronger then most adults. When frist meet you I was scared. I then got to know you and well I can talk to you about anything."
Sky quietly walked back into the shop with a small bag and a medium bag. The medium bag held pizza, pasta, and salad. (Craves...O_O;;) And the small bag had stuff from a joke shop. "Okay guys." She said. "I got food."
Cody sighed, "I don't know how not to be strong, Miss Sarah."
His features settled, still frowning, but not as angrily.
"It's not my mom's fault. I just develop faster than humans, and she decided that if I was going to learn I had might as well learn good things to know."
How to deal with people, how some people will leave you, how some will always be with you. SHe had taught him about people.
"I don't know how not to be strong, Miss Sarah."
Sky had heard those words just after she had walked in. "Cody. Would you like to know how to be strong?" She asked.
((How not to be means he is strong. Hahah))
Cody opened his eyes half way and looked at Sky, unmoving. His eyes took in everything, including the bag that held food, to which his sense quivered. He loved food.
"What do you mean?"
((lol. Also, sorry I'm not typing much. I'm tired and am not supposed to be on. But I'll try to be "Descriptive". :) ))
Sky smiled. "You've got to be strong by keeping a good spirit and a strong, pure heart." She said, pointing at her heart when she mentioned the word.
Now his eyes opened completely, "My mom says that being strong is taking responsibility for you actions, be the consequences good or bad. Standing up for what you think is right. As well as understanding that no one is truly evil."
Big words for such a small boy.
Sky smiled. This little boy was smart. His mother raised him well. "You're mother is right." She said. She didn't want to say much more to the kid and went over and set the food out on a table.
Of course Cody was smart. He was very well considered a child prodigy. But still, he had his tendencies. Like the one right now that caused him to jump up and make his way over to the table, his eyes wide. He licked his lips, "Am I allowed to have some?" He asked, looking up at Sky.
It wasn't that he didn't eat a lot...in fact, he ate a LOT.
"Of course!" Sky responded. "I bought it for all of us." She said, getting a serving for herself. "Would you like to get it yourself? Or want me to get it?" She said, referring to the food.
"I can do it." He said, waving her off and reaching for the food.
Sarah smiled as she sat at the back of the shop and looked at them getting there food. She knew that little Cody was having hard times but she was glad that Shy was willing to help. He need someone more his age.
"Yes you can cody. You can also do anything you set your heart to so don't let anyone tell you different."
