Sky ran quickly through the school grounds. The bell was about to ring. As soon as Sky made it to her Care of Magical Creatures class that was near the forest, the bell rang. The Teacher smiled. It wasn't Hagrid though. It was a man about the age of fifty with plenty of scars and burns across his body. "Good evening class. I will be your substitute teacher while Hagrid is away. You can call me Mr. Hugo. And before you even ask-." Mr.Hugo looked at a student who was raising his hand. "Your Teacher is gone due to a personal matter and I don't not know if she will be back or not ." The class was from mixed grades that were interested in this class alot and did well in it. "Assisting me will be Sky Mason, a sixth year. Hagrid said she knew alot about the animals here and I would greatly appreciate it if you gave her your undivided attention." Mr.Hugo grinned. "Any questions about whats going on?"
James sat there not doing anything but reading his book for the class. He was not really in the mood to be listening. He knew all this stuff since this is what his mother use to teach here. They got this Mr. Hugo becuase his mother had left and was not teaching.
"Ya I have a question why is it that unicorns would rather go to girls then guys. I mean I have seen one that would go to guys. So what makes it different."
Mr.Hugo looked at Sky and motioned for her to answer James. She cleared her throat and grinned at the kid, eager to answer such a question.
"Like us humans, each Unicorn is different. Each has a different disposition. So with that, each has different likes and dislikes. That Unicorn you seen must not mind Males as much as others. But other Unicorns tend to go to females because of their usual caring and gentle nature. They are naturally attracted to females."
James smiled. "I like that answer. I mean it what I was looking for."
He then went back to reading his book. He did not see why he had to go to this class. "I guess you know more then you look like."
She put her hands on her hips. "Are you trying to say I'm stupid?" She stuck out her tounge. "And might I ask what that is your reading sir?" She pointed at his book.
((What is his last name?))
(black)
"No I'm not saying that you are stupid. I just don't see why I have to be in this class. I mean it must be hard on a teacher. That does not know something and has a student reading it." James then stood up and looked at her.
"I was reading a book for a class that really matter."
She looked at Mr.Hugo, who was just sitting there sharpening a piece of wood. She sighed and walked up to James and took his book. "Let me tell you Mr.Black. This class does matter. How do you expect to take care of flesh eating grubs in your garden? How do you expect to fend off a werewolf in the dead of night? This class does matter. She looked at the book. "And I don't think you should be reading up on another class in the middle of another one. You can have this after you write an essay on why This class is important."
James looked at her and turned to walk away. "I will and then go get another book. I mean my mom used to teach this class and she sure knows more then your teacher does."
James looked at her. "So it up to you. I mean you can fight me or just give me my book."
Sky looked at the boy. "I'm taking over for his classes. As an "Intern." She held the book out. "You can have your book, but I want to see you after class."
James looked at her as he grabber his book and sat back down to read it. "I guess I can. I mean I have nothing better to do."
He looked over at the teacher and laughed.
Sky sighed. She should report the teacher, but she had a job now and could use the money. "Alrighty then...any other questions?" Sky asked after looking at the teacher.
James sat there looking at them. He was ready to go but would sit there and then talk to her like he promised. "I don't have any others."
Sky cracked her knuckles. "Alright class. I was told today would just be a laid-back kinda day. We're just going to do a worksheet and then class should be over by then." She retrieved a small stack of parchment that was already printed with questions and passed them out to everyone. "When you are finished, I want you to set them down on this stump." Sky pointed to a large flat stump that was next to her. "This worksheet talks about multiple things. I just want to see what you guys know." She smiled. "You may begin."
James took the sheet and then started to look at it. He feeled it out in about 5 minutes that then took it up to her and sat it on the stump. He then went back to his seat and sat down.
He had gotten all of the questions right and sat there waiting for the others to get done.
Sky looked over the papers as they were turned in. Some kids were really good, while others probably should pay more attention. She looked at James'. He had every question correct. The bell rang. She called James' up and watched as Mr.Hugo left for dinner.
James walked up to the frount of the class and looked at her. "So what do you want talk to me about. I mean I have things to do." He then leaned against a tree.
Sky looked at James. "I know you're a good student. A talented one. But I can tell somethings bugging you. Mind explaining?" She said.
James smiled. "Nothing is bugging me. I just don't turst people now. Why should I want to talk to you about anything. You just a student."
"You're right. I am just a student. But that doesn't make me any less of a person." Sky said. "Somethings bothering you."
James turned to walk away. "I am not going talk to you. I have done great not talking to anyone and I will be the same way." He was not going to talk to her anyways.
Sky sighed. "James...You're mothers worried about you." She said when he started to leave.
James looked at her. "Why should my mother be worried. I mean she is the one that did this to me. I mean she lied to me my whole life."
He then stood there. "So you have meet my mom she then one that taught me all this about animals."
"Your mother is a good friend of mine believe it or not. I know lying sucks, but she did it for your own good. To protect you. She loves you more than you'll ever know." She felt akward telling this to a kid that was close to her age, but he needed to know. "Give her a break James. Give her time." She took a piece of parchment, wrote a pass to his next class, and sighed. "I bet its weird having me as a teacher...I mean, we're so close in age, but I'm just working. I need this job. So don't rat out the guy yet, please?" Sky pleaded.
James smiled and looked at her. "Well okay I will not rat him out if you do not get mad if I sit in the back of the room and study for a different class."
He then took the pass. "Well I guess I can give her a chance."
((umm can I join this somehow.....if you don't want Alex here I'll get Lana here....she can rat her brother out=]))
((Anyone can join really...))
Sky looked at James. "You can study only when we are finished with lessons. Theres usually free time in the end, so I hear."
James smiled. "well okay I guess that is a deal. I mean I will think of something else to add to it later."
Sky smirked. "Just remember that when you make a new part of a deal, I get to add something to it myself." She waved. "See ya."
James stood there. "Well that fine. I mean I will try to keep a hold of it." James then sat back down. He did not have class today.
"Don't worry,I won't be here long. Just for a month. Then this guys gone."
James looked her. "so you have a class now."
He looked at her. "I mean I don't have a class."
Sky smiled happily. "Nope. I'm done for today."
"well do you want to hang out with me." James smile this girl was cool.
"I mean I not have any other ideas."
Sky nodded. "Sure. Why not?" She was actually surprised her wanted to be around her. "What do you want to do?" She asked.
James smiled looking at her. "Well I am not sure. I mean I am up to anything just did not want hang out and do something alone."
He stood up and put his books in his back. "So you need to think of something for us to do."
Sky thought for a moment. "You pick." She said, sticking her tounge out.
James looked at her. "Well I don't know any of these places."
"Really? Well...What house are you in?" Sky asked.
"well I am in gryffindor. What about you." James smiled. He was starting to walk towards the lake to sit down.
Sky smiled. "Me too." She sat down beside him.
"Well I guess I can hang out more with you." He smiled as he stood up and went to run towards his common room seeing what she would do.
She tilted her head and watched him before getting up and sprinting after him. "Hey!"
James smiled. "What your the one that is slow." He kept running.
She just shook her head and caught up with him. "Slow...huh?" She stuck out her tounge and ran ahead.
James smiled as he ran with her. He was now running right next to her. "How about it be a tie."
Sky laughed and took in a deep breath before stopping. "I'd like that." She said.
James smiled as he then stopped to. "good i was getting tired."
He then looked at her. "I am doing fine though."
She smiled. "Thats good." She looked at him. "So...where too? The common room? Out here?" She had this feeling of wanting to hang around with him.
He smiled. "well I don't care where you go but I am still going to go to the common room." He had a felling she would come so she started to walk that way.
Sky took out her wand and muttered "Accio broom." Her broom came zooming out of an open window and into her hands. She hopped on and flew past James. "I'm gonna beat you." She said, sticking out her tounge.
James looked at her. "that not fair. I mean I was not running from you." He then went to run not sure how he would win this race.
She laughed and jumped off once she was about 500 ft ahead and sent her broom back to the common room. "I was just messing."
Jame smiled as he started to walk up to her. "why is it that now I feel as if you are trying to help not just get me to talk to me mom."
Sky shrugged. "I dunno."
James smiled. "I like it though. I mean I'm looking for friend."
Sky held out her hand. "So are we friends?" She asked with a smile.
James stuck out his hand and shook it. "Yes I beleive that we are friends now.
"Great!" Sky smiled at him. "I'm glad."
"ya I am glad that we can be friends." James then keep walking to his common room.
Sky looked at James. "So will you talk to her?"
JAmes smiled at him. "Well I guess I can go meet her at some point and talk."
"She'd like that." Sky said.
"I guess I might latter I don't want to at the moment." James smiled at her.
"Okay then." Sky replied, playing with her hair.
"So what should we do. I mean not just sit here." James looked at her.
Sky shrugged. "I dunno. What do you want to do?"
"Not sure I mean up for anythign but talking to my parents at moment."
"Whatever you want."
"well lets see are you hungry. I mean I just thinking of somethign to do."
"Hm..I guess a little. Are you?" She asked him.
"not really but I'm one of those if I see something that looks good most likely I will be." James sat on the couch.
