A pair of nutty brown eyes, swept the forest, looking at the high trees, as squirrels jumped from branch to branch, birds flying away as the squirrels approached them. Nature was in it's right place today indeed.
Albus was laying on the forest floor, relaxing. His brown hair, shoulder long now, had ice taps hanging from the tips. A thick layer of ice was around his body, protecting him from the stifling heat.
Classes had just ended, and Albus had ran as fast as he could down to the forest, then, covering his body in ice.
His backpack was placed right next to him, stuffed full with books, parchement, quills and ink.
In an eyeblink, it seemed like something up in the trees, had jumped down, right towards him, but then, just vanished. He turned his head around, looking if someone was near him. The ice taps in his hair, met eachother, making several sounds. His eyes closed, as he realised that no one was nearby.
Most people was out by the lake, or around the grounds, enjoying the heat.
It was calming to feel such silence, only the sounds of nature meeting Albus.
Then, he wanted to stand up and stretch himself. First, he tried to break the ice around him with his limbs. Not even a scratch appeared in the ice. Then he tried to use his elemental powers, but nothing happened.
Stuck.
KeKe was just out walking around and she saw Albus in some ice. She walked over to him and stood over him. She looked around and then back at him with a puzzled look on her face. What the frick she thought. She bent down by him and droped her bags. Then tapped on the ice.
"Hello?"she said to him then saw him move. "Ah!"she screamed then jumped back.
"Albus what are you doing in there?!?!"she asked him.
"Looks like he can't move." A small, soft voice said. It belonged to the almost five year old boy sitting in the tree above them. Cody had watched Albus the whole time, fascinated by his ice trick. Now, he was amused.
Albus couldn't get out of the ice.
He'd trapped himself.
Cody slipped out of the tree, but didn't fall. He spread black wings from his body, softly floating to the ground beside Keke. He folded his wings against his back and leaned over Albus.
He didn't say anything else, just met Albus eyes with his amused smile, his blue eyes twinkling. He ran a hand through his black hair, his grin widening.
Finally, he let out a smal giggle.
KeKe looked up at Cody, "Well hello to you to."she said with a smile. She looked at Albus and knock on the glass again, and then she laughed as well. "Yeah I think he is stuck in there to."she said to him.
"Humm I could always set him on fire. But won't."he said. "I think it will melt over time, don't you?"she said to him as she looked over at Cody and smiled again.
Cody shook his head, his obsidian hair flinging about.
"No, miss. It's elemental ice. It won't melt on it's own."
He was not even five yet. He shouldn't have known the word 'elemental' let alone the fact that such magic wasn't bound by natural laws. But then again, he was a child prodigy. He was smarter than most people twice his age.
"Apparently, he's lost temporary control over his own element." Cody continued to smile, though.
He knew the ice element.
She nodded, "Oh, you are one smart kid."she said to him. She looked back at Albus. "Well what is going to happen?"she asked him. She didn't want him to die or anything. He was to good of a person. But doing this wasn't that smart of him.
"I can do some elements. But I can't control them. I havn't had any help or practice with them."She said to him.
"It's okay." Cody said, smiling slyly.
"I know how to." He did. His mom had taught him the elements and magic manipulation when he was three.
Advanced magic for adults and he was perfectly capable of it.
"But the question is, does he want to be shown up by a child?" he raised an eyebrow, looking down at Albus with his half smile.
She laughed at him, and smiled.
She looked back at Albus.
"I don't think he will mind it. It will be funny though."she said to him.

Albus heard some voices talking. He rolled around, wondering if he could see them clearly through the ice.
But it didn't help at all. " Help me!" Albus said as loudly as he could, the sound hitting the ice, then bouncing right back at him again, giving him a slight head ache. Not wanting to worse his ache, he contacted them metally. He quickly found out that it was Cody and KeKe. ~Break the ice layer please! I'm stuck!~ His thouhgts reached both of them. He waited for a response from one of them, or that they would break the ice.
Cody nodded once and knelt down.
"You need to give up complete control over the ice." He told Albus.
He placed his small hands on the ice, his smile fading as he concentrated.
Then, slowly the ice began to climb up onto his arms, encasing them in the freezing matter. Cody didn't even notice, because his hands began absorbing the majority of the ice, taking its magical properties into his body easily.
The ice began to disappear from Albus.
Amazingly enough.
The ice was gone, and Albus could move again.
" Thanks Cody! I don't know what I would have done if you guys hadn't found me!"
He got up and smiled to both of them. " So warm..." As he sighed. His mind was working hard to try and figure out why he had lost his elemental powers. Then, he jumped to a conclusion, wanting to tell the others about what they thought but decided to wait for a second, so that they could come into conversation.
KeKe sat there and looked at Albus and Cody. She smiled then laughed for not reason. She really chouldn't stop. She put her hands over to mouth and tried to stop it but it didn't work at all. All she chould think about was how funny that was. Yeah in some eyes it wouldn't be funny but to her it was. She was happy to laugh like this again, becasue she hadn't for awhile now.
A couple minutes pased and she stop her face so red she looked like an apple. "Sorry."she said the them.
"It's okay." Cody said, closing his eyes as he absorbed the last of the ice into his arms. He stood still for a long moment, his body weaving slowly. His wings suddenly went out, streatching.
He yawned, opening his eyes and smiling at Albus.
"You know the reason, I suspect. So tell us."
She looked at Cody then at Albus then back at Cody. She was lost.
"I,...uh...wait are you talking to me or Albus?"she asked with a lost look on her face. She didn't know what was going on right now, but she new she whould sometime. She looked at Albus. He hadn't talked at all.
"Albus are you okay?"she asked him.
Cody turned his ice blue eyes upon Keke, his child's smile sweet and oh-so-innocent.
"Miss, I am known to speak in Italian, but I swear upon my heart that I speak English now."
He was teasing her. Talking down to her as if she were the child. But it was merley a game.He chuckled softly then turned, nodding at Albus.
"Be you fine, I am sure." The black wings attached to his shoulders twitched with his amusement, "But, you know why this happened. Or you suspect why. So enlighten us."
Cody spoke softly, his vocabulary astounding. He was five, hardly so.
His eyes flashed with intelligence far surpassing that of the older children he now spoke with.
She looked at him with her eyes now wide. She looked at him with her eyes not leaveing his face.
"Are you sure you are five?"she asked him. She new he said he was only five years old, but he didn't act like it. He acted more like he was in his teens or twentys with of how smart he was. She was amazed.
She finally looked back over at Albus her eyes still wide with amazment.
"Well.... Lately I've covered my body in ice, every day after classes. Normally, I'm powerless in the middle of a day. So my powers really come back, go, come back, go. And now, it happening so many times, that way of getting my powers back, won't work anymore! Or in a long time!" Albus didn't even hesitate to answer to Cody's question. He knew well enough that Cody was Ginny's son, the best psycic ever to come out of Hogwarts, and that he had inherited a good portion of her powers.
Then, he smiled at KeKe. " Never heard such a long laughter in years!" His grin growing bigger.
Cody thought for a moment, "You would do well to talk to my mom." He said, grinning widely at Albus. He had always liked Albus.
Liked him more for the fact that he treated him like a normal child.
Though, obviously, he wasn't one.
"To be, it sounds like you are simply tired. Using your powers too much, exerting them and having trouble bringing them back. She may agree. But then, she knows more about magical ailments than I, so she may disagree."
Cody winked at Keke, "I'm positive I'm five."
She laughed at Albus and Cody. She was glad to be back.
"Well Albus the sad depressed KeKe is gone and the old happy clumsy Keke is back. So just happy"she said and giggled a little. She then looked at Cody and gave him a tumbs up.
"Gotcha."she to Cody with a smile.
"Ya mom IS an expert on those things.... But... Meh! Will get my power back soon enough!"
Albus smiled to them both, glad that he had someone to talk to.
He looked up to the sky. All the trees was blocking the sun, leaving only fragments of blue pieces left.
Cody's smile faded and he gently shook his head.
"It's never a good idea to dismiss such problems."
But Cody wouldn't try to convince Albus otherwise. Instead he crossed his arms, his wings twitching with hidden upset.
