Astraea looked around to make sure no one was around her. She was alone in a small clearing in the forest. She stood at the edge of the clearing and looked at the center.
She raised her hands and closed her eyes and started to concentrate really hard. Suddenly a small fire began to grow. Astraea smiled and stared at it. As it began to grow out of control she pointed her hands and the fire was soon covered with dirt. "Phew" Astraea said tired.
She sat in the grass and looked at the pile of dirt smiling to herself. "That went better then usual" She said to herself.
"You know, playing with fire in the middle of a bunch of trees isn't safe."
The soft voice seemed to come from all around Astraea, as though from the very trees of which it spoke of. But if one looked hard enough, they would see a red head leaning against a tree across the clearing. Ginny smiled at Astraea, shaking her head, "You'd be better to practice such fire nearer to the lake, in case you lose total control."
She wasn't scolding, wasn't yelling. Was simply informing. She pushed off from the tree, her sneakered feet making no noise as she crossed the clearing, walking right over where the fire had been. She held out her hand, sticking the other in her black hoodie pocket.
"I'm Ginny. You are a new student, right?"
A voice was to be heard from long away, coming closer.
Albus was up in the treetops, playing a game he just had made.
He stopped, ten trees away from the girls, wanting to take a little break.
Panting, he looked back. The self-invented games rules was to make ice bridges, going from one branch, to another.
Nearly all of the trees behind him had a bridge on one of their top branches, going to another tree right next to it. " This is fun! Making a chunk of ice on your feet, then being lifted up front as the bridge is made from one end to another, then continuing like that fast, going from top to top! Gonna do it many times from now!"
Albus grinned, feeling happy as he made another bridge, being lifted up in the air, then landing.
Practising his element got him to feel all warm inside.
Suddenly, Albus was interrupted from his own world, by hearing voices near him.
You know, playing with fire in the middle of a bunch of trees isn't safe.
It didn't take long for him to recgonize the voice. He started to climb down from the braches, then jumped as he was at the lowest branch, hitting the ground with a, SHOMP!
Ginny was standing with her back to him. There was a girl there that Albus hadn't seen before.
Wanting to get a talk with a friend, and maybe get a new friend also, he approached the two girls,
saying, " Hello!" As he was nearly with them. He waved, and smiled.
Astraea looked all around looking for the voice. When she saw Ginny comming near her she relaxed a little bit. "I thought that there would be a lot of people would be at the lake" She said and stood up as Ginny stopped infront of her. "I don't like it when people watch me. It makes me really nervous" she said. "But I should have stayed closer to it" she said.
Astraea wiped her hands on her skirt and shoke Ginnys hand. "Nice to meet you Ginny, and yes I am new" she said smiling. "My name is Astraea" she added quickly.
Astraea took a step back when the boy landed behind Ginny. "H-hi" Astraea said looking at the kid. "Whats your name?" she asked. "I'm Astraea"
Ginny turned around as Albus landed, smiling at him and giving him a small nod.
"Hiya Albus." She said to the younger boy. She turned back to Astraea and nodded slightly.
"It's nice to meet you too, Astraea." She told the girl politely. Ginny's eyes narrowed suddenly as her eyes went to the nearly translucent wings stemming from Astraea's back.
Ginny's brown eyes went from the wings to Astraea's face.
"Fairy wings?" She murmured softly.
Albus smiled, and replied, " I'm Albus. Albus Severus Potter. "
He felt great. The weather was okay, not to warm, but warm then again, and Albus had finally
learned how to be out in the warmth without having serious problems.
A good feeling was sweeping over him. A new start was coming, and now, things was going to go much better. He couldn't wait for the winter, and the cold, making his powers return completely.
"Fairy wings?
Albus looked around with big eyes curious eyes, looking at Ginny, then at Astrea.
~Fairy Wings?~ This confused Albus, but he didn't want to say anything.
The snow leopard was on the roof again, looking at the starts when she saw a girl she didn`t know walk inot the forest. That was the third person. She stood up and jumped offf the roof, heading towards the forest. In a few minutes, she saw Albus making ice bridges. The she saw him stop and jump down. She stalked behind him and watched what was going on.
Astraea stood there smiling until she noticed Ginnys eyes. Astraea watched Ginnys eyes travel to her wings. As soon as Ginny said 'Fairy wings' Astraea hurriedly tucked her wings into her back. "Yeah" she said softly. Astraea felt Albus's eyes look around.
She slowly let all of her wings out. They were a few feet from the ground and the top of them were slightly towered over her head. "I'm a fairy" she said pointing out the obbivous. "I guess you have a few of us here" she said hopeing that there were more like her at Hogwarts.
When the snow leopard saw the wings, she stepped out from behind Albus.
Surprisingly, Ginny's smile was back, this time wider.
She shook her head, "No, not at Hogwarts."
But she continued smiling, "But your wings are so...fragile looking." She said softly. Ginny was inspecting them furiously, the whole time grinning like a crazy person, before she finally let out a laugh.
"They are so...delicate..."
Stacey noticed that the large, white snow leopard hadn`t been seen, but she didn`t really care. She was also inspecting the wings that looked so fragile.
Astraea felt out of place. "People said there would be some like me here" she said. "Thats one of the reasons I came to Hogwarts." Astraea to a moment thinking. "All the girls at Beauxbatons made me feel out of place there to" she added.
"Maybe being the only fairy here would be kind if fun" she said now thinking about it. "Because you know with more then just girls, maybe people don't judge as much" she said smiling a little.
"They look fragile they feel like it to" she said as Astraea touched her wings. "But they can go through a lot more then you would think" she added.
Albus smiled to her, not wanting to make her uncomfortable.
He too, was special. His blue skin had made many people tease him,
so he knew what being different was.
" First time ever to see a fairy. How is it to really really fly?" Albus was carried away.
He had always dreamed of really flying. Flying up in the skies, being totally free.
"Didn't you ask Cody the same question once?" Ginny asked Albus, laughing softly. She shook her head, looking back at Astraea.
"You'll be fine here at Hogwarts, Astraea." Ginny confirmed, "Few will discriminate against you."
The snow leopard turned into Stacey Black. Who was also smiling. She wanted to make Astraea less uncomfortable. "Ummm, hi." She said quietly.
" Yeah. I did. I don't actually remeber what he answered though..."
Albus smiled, his pashion for flying controlled him every time he met someone who had wings.
" And, if someone does discriminate you, tell me, and I'll kick some butt.
I know how it is to be different, and when no one else is like you..." He looked at one of his hands,
the colour that would mark him for the rest of his life, whether he liked it or not. Some tears gathered, and was dried by his hand. " It's terrible."
Stacey still felt aas if she hadn`t been noticed, she saw Albus dry his tears and she put a hand on his shoulder.
Astraea smiled at Albus. "Flying is amazing." she said happily. "Its like swimming throw the air, just you don't have to hold your breath." she said happily. "Its my favorite thing to do when I'm not practicing with my elements" she said.
She looked over at Ginny. "Whos Cody?" she asked. "Does he go to school here?" she asked.
"Hey" Astraea said. "Aren't you Stacey?" she asked. "I'm terrible with names" she added.
Astraea looked back at Albus and smiled. "thanks" she said happily. Had she just made a new friend? She hoped so. "Must be difficult" she said noticing his skin. "I can at least hide mine somewhat" she said.
"Yea." Stacey said, smiling at her.
Ginny laughed as the girl asked if Cody went to school there. She shook her pretty head, still laughing, "No, Cody doesn't go to school here. Nor do I." She smiled, "If someone bothers you, I'd rather you come to me. I'm a teacher."
There was a shocker, Ginny didn't look older than 17 years old. Still she shook her head again, "And Cody is my son."
She nodded towards Stacey, recognizing the girl from around the school, but focused on Astraea.
Albus hadn't noticed Stacey before she put her hand on his shoulder.
He quickly turned around with big eyes, then finding out it was only Stacey.
" Hi Stacey. How ya doin'?"
Astraea looked towards Ginny and studied her. "You don't go here and your a teacher and have a kid" she said. Then again Astraea didn't look her age either so she was only slightly amazed. "So your human?" she asked her.
Stacey nodded back to Ginny. Stacey had been surprised also when she found out Ginny was a teacher and had a son. She looked at Albus and took her hand off of his shoulder. "I`m doing fine."
Ginny nodded, "Through and through." She pushed up her hoodie sleeve, poking her bare arm and laughing.
"Or, I was last time I checked." She grinned, winking, "It's not that bad, I promise."
Stacey smiled, her eyes a bright blue.
Astraea actually laughed a little bit. "Humans are gross" she said joking with her. "I mean they're so plain" she said smiling.
" Good." Albus said to Stacey, then looked at Ginny. He laughed softly, knowing many people, himself too,
who had reacted like that. " Always fun to see this situation." Albus was grinning, and now, he was really happie. The sadness he had felt a second ago had vanished, and been replaced by a warm feeling,
making his eyes spark, making him laugh softly now and then, and making him feel so good he hadn't been for a long time.
"Plain are we? Have you been living in a bubble?" Stacey walked up to Astaea and did the trick with her eyes where they change color every half-second. "Still think I`m plain?"
Ginny raised an eyebrow, "Really?" She asked softly, knowing the girl was joking. She shook her head, "You should come to one of my classes, Astraea, and then you'll see how plain humans are."
She smiled, however, taking the joke lightly.
" I think you picked the wrong people to tell that humans are plain, Astraea.
I'm blue,
Stacey is a eye colour changer,
and Ginny is one of the most powerful humans I know.
Infact, she's the most powerful I know.
Wrong people right?"
Albus said slowly, taking a break every time he changed person to talk about.
He twitched his ears a bit, something fun he had discovered.
Stacey laughed. "And I`m and undercover snow leopard." She said laughing hard.
"I live in a tree house a little ways from where the dragons live" Astraea said smiling. She stared at Staceys eyes changing colors until she heard Ginny speak then she looked over at her.
"I'll make sure I'm in at least one of them, They are most likely a lot funnier then the ones at my old school" she said smiling.
Astraea just smiled at him. "Well I guess I did" she said.
" It's really fun there. I go there too." Albus said to Astraea.
The soft sounds of the forest. Birds singing, squirrels jumping from tree to tree, the perfect harmony.
Stacey was a litle confused, but she turned her eyes brown and sat on the ground.
"You go here?" she asked. "What year are you in Albus?" she asked him. "I'm in my fourth year here" she said smiling. Astraea looked over at Stacey. "So what does bown mean?" she asked looking at her eyes.
" Second year. " Albus said, then glanced up at the sky, thinking about nothing.
He was bored. Extremely bored. And he wanted something to happen.
Nothing had happened in a long long time.
"You know a lot for a second year" Astraea said. She looked around and glanced at the trees then back at them. "So what do you guys do for fun here?" she asked as she sat down on a rock that was near her.
" Duels, hanging out... Well... Things I guess!" Albus smiled. Then, he looked down at the ground, blushing, his cheeks turning even more blue, and sat down by a tree, his back being supported by the gigantic
log behind him. His thoughts went to Jessie as he blocked his mind, knowing that while Astraea and Stacey couldn't find out what he was thinking about, Ginny would actually have known for a long time, all of the times his mind wandered to her.
~It must be kinda hard for Ginny to hear most of people's thoughts... Knowing some people deepest most darkest secrets without them realizing she knows it.~ Albus thought to himself, being unable to use his
empathy to figure out how it would be.
"More than you know." Ginny muttered, glancing at Albus and rolling her eyes. It was hard knowing people's thoughts, sometimes before the person even thought them. She'd spent years on building her mental blocks up so that other peoples thoughts, dreams, ideas, and futures wouldn't invade her own. Though, she often caught a stray thought in passing, and almost always could hear the topmost thoughts in a person's mind.
Even when they tried to block her out.
She and her brother Ron had been among the most powerful psychics while in school. Each had taught other's how to control their psychic powers, but they hadn't taught anyone how to break through a mental barrier. That had been something neither would teach.
Ginny smiled at Astraea, "Albus is one of my best students."
Albus's head was turned so fast, and his eyes opened so quickly it hurt a little.
" Am I? " He was surprised, thinking he was long down on the list.
"Duels?" Astraea asked. "You mean like fights?" Astraea asked making sure. Duels that didn't sound to intresting. "That seems violent" Astraea said. "Do you just like fist fight or can you use magic also?" Astraea had heard about duels but never really paid attention when people talked about it. She normally would just walk away. Also duels weren't aloud at her old school.
"One of your best students" Astraea said smiling. "Must be pretty smart then" she added. "The rumors that I've heard is that Hogwarts has some pretty bright students" She said.
" I'm not specially bright or something! I just.... I dunno...
Well... We have fights here yes. But only fighting for fun... Well sometimes enemy's fight.
But that's not often. It's not really violent. Some blood but it's fun actually!" Albus said, then continued,
" You like to fight? You got some sorta special powers, or special ranks in some martial arts or something?"
In the last time, Albus had started martial arts, finding fun in it. Inspiered, he had learned some new tricks, combining his ice powers together with his Kung Fu, Tae Kwondo, and the other things he's learned.
Martial arts was some of the most fun things he'd ever done.
"I don't really like fighting" She said and thought about her powers."I haven't any special powers with fighting" Astraea said in a strange voice. "But I can dodge spell pretty easily, but thats only from being around some dragons" She said. "When they sneeze fire everywhere and you have to dodge it or your get burned pretty badly" She said.
"I'm not to good with a wand, In fact I'm not good at all with one" Astraea said slightly to herself. "I'm pretty good without a wand" she added. "But most fairys don't use wands anyways" She said smiling.
" What powers do you have then? What's a fairy's powers? I don't know a thing about them."
Albus was curious, fairy's had amused him a bit since he had been a little boy.
Ginny shook her head, "Albus is very enthusiastic, as you can see." She sighed, "He hasn't been exposed to much in his life."
She shrugged, "Fairy's powers usually consist of mostly elementals, Albus."
" I am enthusiastic, and it's fun being it! " Albus said, then asked, " Powerful or? The fairy's powers within elementals?" He grinned, wanting to know more.
"The powers I have are pretty normal" Astraea said smiling. "I can fly without a wand or broom. which is why I have wings" She said moving them slightly. "Different fairy's can talk and control different things. When a fairy is born they have clear wings and over time the colors change and they develop they're Elemental powers and the other powers also." Astraea said."Normally the color of the wings and the powers match." she said happily.
"Like me I have green wings and I can control earth, Also I can talk to dragons and can control fire" She said proudly. "Most fairy's don't use wands like I said, and when I learn spells I practice with a wand. I really don't need a wand but it helps me fit in." she said smiling. "Also the more I practice with a wand the better I can do it without a wand."
Stacey had gotten lost in the conversation and when there was a pause, she spoke. "Brown can mean different things. It can mean I`m happy, or confused, or I just made them brown."
Albus suddenly realized something. How long had Ginny known he had a crush on Jessie?
Many times around her, his thoughts had wandered. In class, now, way to many times.
He blushed, looking down at the ground, yet again.
Stacey saw Albus look down and she suddelny realized something: when she had done the horrible thing of giving him the truth potion, he had said his favorite person was Jessie, Jessie was a girl. Stacey looked at the ground also blushing. She also blocked her mind.
Astraea was confused. She looked at Stacey then at Albus. What was wrong with them. Why weren't they talking. Whats up with all of the blushing. She just didn't get it. Any of it. Astraea didn't someone to talk. She didn't like the sudden quietness. *I'm not use to this* she thought to herself.
Astraea took a few steps then looked back at them. She walked back over and just stood there stareing. First she watched Albus he didn't do anything. Then she looked over at Stacey. Nothing just silence. Finally she looked over at Ginny who hadn't said much in the last few minutes. She studied her then looked away.
Astraea took a deep breath and stretched her wings to their complete wing span. Her wings start to flutter and her feet lifted off the ground. Nothing was happening and she still needed to practice. She didn't go to high off the ground. The tree tops were to high. She sighed and her feet went back to the ground. She didn't want to practice right now. She sat on the ground and tucked her wings all the way in. She sighed and made small amonts of dirt move.
Ginny simply smirked at Albus and Stacy, feeling the directions of their thoughts without even trying, and she sat down next to Astraea.
"Ignore them," She murmured softly, "Embarrassment comes easily with the younger students."
She reached down, scooping up her own pile of dirt, and then letting it fall from his fingers, creating a thin dust. She clenched her fist around the dirt, then turned it. When she opened her hand, palm up, instead of a pile of dirt was a small glass orb, filled with the earth element. It glowed, mixing itself between brown, green, and a light yellow.
Ginny expertly twirled the orb in her fingers, knowing full well the danger if it fell and broke. If the thing broke, the earth element would come sweeping out, causing everything within 100 mile radius to be hit with it. It would hurt many people.
But Ginny had been playing with elemental orbs for a long time now, and she seemed at home with the smooth glass ball that pulsed with the earth's energy.
Albus looked up as he heard some fluttering. Astraea was flying. Just a few inches from the ground, but
still flying. He grinned, and then when she landed, he looked over to Ginny.
The little orb in her hand amused him. " What are that?" Albus said, looking at her with big eyes.
Stacey just sat, bitting her lip and watching what the others did. She looked from one person to the other, her eyes purple from her random thoughts.
Astraea just stared at the orb. She had seen one before. She didn't remember where or who, but knew she had seen one once before. "Its an orb" she said in a soft voice. "It takes a lot of practice to make one" she said as Ginny moved it around her fingers. "How long have you been able to do that?" she asked.
Stacey looked at what Astraea was talking about, and after she looked at it for a while she went back to thinking. She knew Ginny could read her mind, but she didn`t care to much.
"Since I was 13." She winked at them, holding her free hand out even as she played with the orb in the other.
"You have to be able to control the element to make one. To be a master." She grinned as she turned her free hand palm up, and them waved her wrist. Instantly, three more orbs appeared. A deep throbbing red one, that gave off heat. Fire.
A deep blue. Water.
A white one, filled with what was like fog. Air.
Ginny stood, and then began to juggle all four of the elemental orbs, a smile on her face. She was being unusually reckless, because if even one orb fell and broke, the entire area would be engulfed by it's pure elemental power.
"Kiara Maul and Lavender Potter taught me this." She laughed, walking as she juggled. "Those two girls were like my big sisters."
Stacey half-listened to what Ginny was saying. She was to busy thinking, thinking about Niles, Albus and Jessie, and Ginny. She was slightly amazed by Ginny. She could do everything it seemed like. Stacey knew that Ginny could hear her. 'She`s a teacher.' She said to herself. She would understand. Stacey stood up and started pacing back and forth. Walking in and out of the shadows. She wondered how long Ginny knew about Niles and her. And how did she keep everyone`s thoughts to herself? She was very confused.
Ginny began walking backwards around the clearing, obviously having fun with her small game of juggling. As she passed Stacy, she gave her a pure smile. One that reflected her happiness and ease.
"To answer your question, Stacey, I've seen more important things than who like who." She stopped, right at the center of the clearing. Actually, right where Astraea had first played with the fire. One by one she threw the orbs high into the air. She watched them as they went high, her grin wide.
She looked towards the younger kids and didn't move, Even as the orbs seemed to be aimed right for her head. just before each hit her, it vanished into thin air. As though they had never been there.
She nodded towards Stacey, still not done with her answer.
"If someone likes someone, I could care less. It comes with life experience...maturity."
Albus listened to her, and was amazed my those orbs. All of his thoughts was surrounding them, what power he had felt in them, and how home he felt when she called out the water and air orb.
" Can you teach me to make those orbs?" Albus said, his voice determined. He really wanted to learn it,
and he knew much about the ice element. Maturity. How Mature was he?
Ginny smiled, "I can try to teach you...it takes an immense amount of concentration to hold one together...let alone four." She laughed, "I know how to do them all."
"My favorite, though, is water." Quickly, with a few flashes of her hands, she conjured up five water orbs. Then, with the will of her mind, the five began spinning around her, flying through the air. Ginny's telekinesis had a bubbly feel to it as she played.
"I'm a master in all four major elements, as well as all the minor elements. But water..." She smiled gently, "I've always felt a special connection...it's my element..." She shrugged as the five orbs popped out of existence.
Ginny nodded towards Albus, "But I'll teach you sometime, ok?"
Stacey blushed furioulsy, she new Ginny could hear her, but she didn`t think she would say anything outloud. She looked towards Ginny. 'I know.' She said in her mind, hoping Ginny would hear her. Then she blocked her mind, so Ginny couldn`t read it anymore.
Ginny winked at Stacey, sending the girl a calming thought, along with some advice.
-Someday, you'll understand that simply blocking your mind doesn't work.-
Ginny had learned long ago how to break down blocks, how to get into people's minds even when they didn't want her there. but Stacey's childish thoughts weren't worth the effort. Let the girl believe she'd found a way to beat Ginny. She lost nothing by doing so.
Ginny waved her hands, causing the four original elemental orbs to appear around her. She snatched each one and juggled them again. Then she threw them up, and while they were still in the air, she did a forward handspring and a frontal flip. Just as she landed from the flip she reached up, snatching the falling obs only moments before they hit the ground.
She nodded towards Albus, "And after I teach you, if you ever mess around like I am, I'll kill you." She laughed, but behind the humor was held the very real threat. She'd been doing this for years, and it took a l;ot of practice before she'd been able to do so safely.
Stacey blushed more, her eys turning pink also, she just barley caught Ginny`s advice. Stacey thought about a brick wall, and nothing else if she could help it.
Albus grinned, and said, " Well... How do you really make one? "
He was curious, and started of thinking of methods to make an ice orb.
Merge with the element somehow? Concentrate the essence of the element inside an orb?
Other thoughts like that was he asking himself as he waited for answer.
Albus had caught the threat behind the joke, then, wondering what could happen if he lost control of the orb somehow. Would it explode? What would happen?
Ginny smiled, "How about you try holding one before you try making one?"
She held out the Air orb, nodding towards him.
"Air is the easiest to control. Here, take it. You should be able to hold it...but be wary, it gives off a dizzying feeling. It fills up your lungs, makes every part of your body that uses air better....but only while you are in direct contact with it."
Albus gently took the orb, and heldt it firmly in his palm.
A sensational feeling was hitting him. It made him a bit dizzy, but,
he felt like he was flying. His loungs felt great, along with other parts of his body.
Not wanting to break it, he gave it back to Ginny.
" How do you make one?" He was talking fast and enthusiastically, as the sensational feeling left his body as he gave away the orb.
"I'll show you some other time, okay?" Ginny took back the orb, and made each one disappear, before sliding her hands in her pockets.
"For now, you students need to get back to the school. It's almost time for dinner." She jerked her head in the direction of the school, still smiling.
Stacey heard Ginny, but she wasn`t really hungry at all. Sometimes she thought Ginny could be annoying, but what adult isn`t?
Ginny's eyes flickered over Stacey, her smile staying. As much as Stacey thought she was annoying, Ginny thought Stacey was average. A normal girl, with relatively average powers. In Ginny's opinion, there was little about Stacey that was special.
Ginny nodded towards the school again, "On with you. Before a meaner teacher catches you guys out here and issues detention."
"I can go someplace were teachers can`t go." Stacey said, being sure not to think about the place she was talking about. Stacey caught a flicker of what Ginny had thought about her. She didn`t know why this kept happening. Stacey sighed and waved her hand slightly, much to her surprise, a couple snow flakes fell. "Whoa!!" Stacey exclaimed. She had never done that before.
Albus nodded and said to the others, " Should we head up now? " his voice fast.
He didn't want any more detention, because he had had it the last week because he had been unable to control his ice powers while Malfoy had teased him. Albus looked over to Stacey, noticing the snow flakes.
" What happened?"
"I... I don`t know." Stacey looked at her hands, they still looked the same. At the same time she caught Albus`s memory of his detention troubles. Why was this happening? She stood up and walked closer to Albus, she waved her hand again the same way she had before. This time, ice fell from her hands. She put one finger on his shoulder, and waved her hand again, this time, the ground and about three feet around her was covered in snow and ice.
Stacey walked over to Ginny, and closed her eyes, she could see Albus`s thoughts. "Oh my gosh." She whispered after she opened after she opened her eyes. "Ginny do you know what this is?" She asked, hoping the techer would know.
Albus looked at her with big eyes as he felt like his mind was penetrated right through.
His powers wasn't under controll, and, he felt some of it getting drawed.
He looked at Ginny, and asked the same question. " What happened? "
((thank you!)) Stacey walked as far away from Albus as she could while still being in the clearing. She tried the ice thing again, this time, nothing happened. She walked as far away from Ginny as she could get and triend to see into someones mind, it didn`t work. "Ginny, what is this? The power only works when I`m close to that person."
((Kinda like Rouge in the X-Men?))
Ginny's smile disappeared, almost instantly. Quickly, she threw up several protective barriers around herself. As far as Albus's powers, and possibly Astraea's, the effects wouldn't be too bad. If Stacey was able to absorb more of Ginny's however, she would have power that would destroy her body. A long with the knowledge that had almost destroyed Ginny many times.
The barrier she put around herself withdrew into her body, taking her powers along with it. Now, devoid of her psychic, magical, and elemental powers, she could touch Stacey with no worry of giving the girl unneeded or unwanted powers. Ginny had essentially cut off her powers.
"Come on." She said, her hand snaking out and grasping Stacey's arm in a powerful grip, "Let's go. To the infirmary with you."
Astraea had jus been standing there and watching everything. She was still new and wasn't sure what she could or should have said. Astraea stared. What was happening. She didn''t know. She looked at Stacey and slowly backed away. She watched Ginny get rid of her powers and grab Stacey. What was going to happen to Stacey? She was scared for her. Astraea didn't say anything just stood there and watched.
((I don`t know anything about X-Men or whatever)) Stacey followed Ginny, why did she get rid of her powers like that, why was she so worried? Stacey was confused and a little scared.
Albus didn't know what to do. He was befuddled, but, he just walked with them,
starving, hoping to get some food already.
~Why do we have to hurry?~ He thought to himself as they walked.
((Thank you!)) "Ginny, what is happening?" Stacey asked again.
This was way to strange for Astraea. She spread her wings and jumped into the air. It caught her and she flew. She flew away from Ginny Stacey and Albus. Soon she found a place were she could get out of the trees. She flew up and away. She didn't know were she was going but she was going there.
Ginny barley glanced at Astraea as she flew off, simply nodding at her as if to say ok. Not that it mattered, Astraea was most defiantly able to find her way back to the school.
"Because, Albus. There are some students here that don't need her sucking their powers." She shrugged, "It's only a temporary power, like an allergic reaction sometimes is. It won't last long, and it's not powerful, but she needs to stay away from the other kids for a bit."
She smiled at them both, though it was a tight smile.
"I've seen this before."
Aileen saw Ginny and the students from the school, and ran down to meet them. She knew Ginny was a teacher, like her. In fact, Ginny was her mentor, because Aileen was only a studnet teacher.
"Professor Weasley? Is there something wrong?" She asked, looking at the students. A boy and a girl.
" What about me then? " Albus asked, and saw a girl come towards them.
He was a bit confused, and, worried about Stacey. They hadn't known eachother for a long time,
but they were already good friends. He didn't want anything to happen to her.
Ginny smiled, "Albus, do you remember when I taught you to cut off your mind from the rest of the world? Well, do that now, take your powers with it. I'll show you have to turn them all back on later. After we get her to the Hospital Wing."
She jerked her head in Stacey's direction, even as she kept hold of the girl's arm.
Albus stopped, closed his eyes, and focused on his powers. Then, he cut off his mind from the rest of the world, taking his powers with it. " I think I did it!" He said, and to test, he waved his hand, intending to make some ice plugs in his nose, but nothing happened. He started running, and when he had catched up with them, he started to walk normally.
Astraea soon found herself at the front door of Hogwarts. She was relieved. Now all she needed to do was find out where she was suppose to go. She sighed and sat on the front steps and watched people walk by her.
Stacey stopped and pulled away from Ginny. "Why? What if this isn`t an allergic reaction or whatever? What if I don`t want to sit in the infirmary?" Stacey had taken a few steps away from Ginny.
"The first is an impossibility. As for the second, well then it looks like you are in for a bad hour." Ginny snatched Stacey's wrist, tightening her grip and scowling.
"Listen, child, I don't care what you want. And I don't care what you think. I've been through this world, and out of it, a lot longer than you. I've seen things you wouldn't even see in your worst imagination. So I suggest you shut the hell up and let me do my job." Ginny's eyes were dark, icy. Her grip was strong, stronger than anyone would guess, simply by looking at her.
Long ago she had trained herself in various martial arts. Holding this little girl still was nothing.
"And I don't care if you hate me. Join the club. In fact, I'll introduce you to some of the people who want to kill me. Now stop acting like a baby and let's go."
((Ginny is a meanie. Haha. I'm gonna have to teach her how to be nice.))
Aileen wasn't answered, but she got the idea. Something was wrong with the girl. She looked at Albus, "What's wrong with her?" She asked.
Ginny was being harsh with the girl, but Aileen supposed she had to. Some students refused to listen, even when their elders were right.
Stacey had powers when Ginny didn`t. She knew Ginny couldn`t read her mind right now, because she had taken her own powers away. Stacey glared at Ginny, she had never seen her like this. Stacey looked at Aileen, Stacey had heard the thought she had in her mind just seconds ago. "I don`t hate you." Stacey said to Ginny. "I just dislike you right now." Stacey waved her free arm and ice molded around her and Ginny`s feet. She looked at the ice, she needed to figure out how to control that a little better. She looked back at Ginny.
Ginny bent down, and with one strike of her free hand, the ice broke with a loud crack. Her face was impassive, it showed no emotions, letting off no thoughts. Even without her powers, Ginny's mind was guarded, shut off from everyone.
She still had Stacey's wrist, "Let's go." She said, her words clipped. Her anger showed in her eyes, making them seem darker than usual.
"Whoa, hold on a minute." Stacey used her free hand to seal her feet to the ground. "Cool." She said. "Think, he shut his powers off, and yet, I can still use them." Stacey didn`t, and was trying really hard not to, be mean to the teacher. But she had made a point.
"Which is why we are taking you to the Hospital Wing." Ginny's voice was tense, harsh, and she narrowed her eyes.
"If we get to a Healer, they can help you figure this out like no one else can, Stacey. They can help you control whatever this is when, or if, it happens again. So let's go."
Stacey`s feet where still planted to the ground. "Hold on. He shut his powers off, in which case I shouldn`t be able to use them." Stacey waved her hand again and the closest tree became covered with ice. "And I read her mind." She added, refering to the Aileen. She waved her hand again but concentrated on the element of earth. A sheet of topsoil lifted itself away from the ground and fleww to the right. "I still have use of your powers too, and I`m pretty sure that you took them away the right way." Stacey said, defending her point.
Ginny's fist clenched, "Which is WHY we are going to the Hospital Wing, need I say it again you ignorant child?" She was beginning to lost her temper.
"You still have use of a fraction of our topmost powers, because you sucked out that much use. Given a day or so, the powers will fade and you will have trouble using them as easily. And if we don't get to the Hospital Wing to make sure you don't have any worsening reactions, then you could very well die from being filled with more power than your body can handle!" Ginny grabbed Stacey's shoulder's, tired of playing the girls silly games and transported the two of them to the Hospital Wing. It wasn't apparation, and it left Stacey, who wasn't used to such, slightly dizzy for a second.
Stacey regained her balance after a couple seconds, she had often Apperated and was used to that, this sensation was quite similar. "Hey." Stacey said in protest. She really didn`t think that it was a reaction. Stacey stood still and soon her skin began to have an orange glow, and if you where touching her, you would find that her skin was burning. Stacey couldn`t feel the heat, but she could tell it was happening. Her skin became even hotter.
Ginny placed a hand on Stacey's chest and shoved her backwards, onto a bed.
"Stay here. I'm getting a nurse."
Ginny gave her a quick glare, already very angry at the child. She went and found Madam Pomfrey, grabbing her arm and pulling her over to Stacey.
"She's having some kind of reaction. I don't know what to, but I don't want her to get hurt." Ginny told the nurse.
Albus was left back in the clearing of the forest, wondering what had just happened.
He closed his eyes, and then returned his powers, along with taking his mind back at the system.
" Well... I guess I'll just head up to the castle then..." Albus said, then started walking, his pace fast.
Stacey glared at Ginny. Ginny was her favorite teacher, she really didn`t want to be mad at her, but she just didn`t look at what was happening the way Stacey did. Stacey knew that Ginny couldn`t use her powers yet, so she allowed her self to thing without being cautious. She looked to Madam Pomfery. "I`m not having a reaction." Stacey said simply, she didn`t know how she knew this, she just did.
Stacey realized that her skin had cooled and was no longer hot to the touch. Instead, it was rather cold.
