The girl's dormitory was quiet except for the sound of Sky tuning her guitar. She gently plucked the strings of the black acoustic while turning the small knobs at the end of the neck. She cleared her throat, then went into a slow, but pretty song she had heard. After a few bars of music she started to sing since nobody was around. Or so she assumed.
"It's amazing how you can speak right to my heart

The smile on your face lets me know that you need me

She messed up on a note and stopped playing. "Ughhh." Sky mumbled, laying her head against the side of her bed.
"Sky, thats really good." Jackie said, appearing from outside Sky's door frame. "I love the lyrics. Did you write them yourself?" She asked again. "They're absoloutly wonderful..." She trailed off and began to sing a few...

Her voice seemed to lift as it usually did when she sang. Jackie was a one talent person, considering she was a Siren she was amazing at singing, but she couldn't draw for crap. Jackie hummed for a bit longer. "Would you play the rest?" She finally asked.
Sky flung her hand to her forehead. She closed her eyes as her face flushed a bright red. "Oh my gosh. I thought I was alone." She said, embarrassed a little. She took a small breath and looked at Jackie. "Oh no. It's from a muggle singer. But thank you for your compliment. You sing well too." She plucked a string and turned a knob just a tad more and then started playing the tune, with an intro.
"1...2...3...4...1...2..ready..go." Sky said, counting off.
Jackie sat down on the bed across from Sky and listened patiently. Music was the one thing in life Jackie understood, pretty much. People were so confusing, but music had a set tune and certain notes.
Sky leaned against her bed to support her back and focused on the guitar. She watched where her fingers were until she got used to the tune, then looked up out of the window. She couldn't help but to smile. The music seemed to fit in perfectly with her life. She had a boyfriend, that she loved ever so much, and she was happy. Truly happy.
Leah sat up in her bed. She had been writing, her story seeming to wander and end up terribly like all of them did. She stood up and walked over to where Jackie and Sky were. She listened for a while, sitting down by them.
Jackie listened to the guitar notes and was soon singing along with her eyes closed. She was gently swaying and when she opened her eyes they were glistening and more white than blue. Jackie's singing along with the Sky's guitar playing sounded amazing to Jackie. She smiled and kept going as her mouth formed words and sang them, even if she barely knew what she was singing.
Leah watched as Jackie got into some sort of trance. It was strange and somewhat creepy how her eyes were almost completely white .

She song ended rather soon. Sky didn't look at anybody though she knew Leah was there. She yawned.
Leah smiled as the song ended. A song played in her mind, there almost always was one.
Sky removed the guitar from her lap and carefully put it under her bed.
*That was pretty... how did you learn to play like that Sky?* Leah inquired, genuinley interested. She had recently aquired a guitar of her own and wanted to learn how to play it, but wasn't sure where to start.
"Yeah, it really is beautiful." Jackie said, her eyes were their normal bright blue again and stood out against her somewhat pale face.
Nate heard the last part of the song. He thought it was a beautiful song but he didnt recognize what it was called. He walked into the room and smiled," Hey what are you girls doing," he asked.
Apart from almost shrieking in surprise, Leah was sure that her face looked terrified.
Jackie immediatly clamped her hand on her mouth. She had to be careful who was around while she was singing.
*How much did you hear!?* She said, restraining herself from yelling at this kid for being in the girls part of the dorm.
Jackie turned to look at the boy. Obviously he didn't hear Jackie or he would be somethinh stupid now like trying to hit on her. Then she looked at the boy apologetically. "Please knock. It could save me and you a lot of trouble, should anything like this happen again." She said flashing a nervous smile.
Nate blushed a bright pink feeling a little embarrased for scaring the sh*t out of them. He put on a crooked smile and said with his hands in his pocket,"Sorry about that. I..i didnt mean to scare you guys. i just heard the singing and so i was trying to figure out where the singing was coming from. It was really good i might add."
Sky looked at Nate and laughed. She didn't jump when he appeared. "It's alright. Don't worry about it." She turned a slight shade of pink too. Someone else had heard her sing. "Thanks." She said with a small smile.
He blushed but just smiled. He looked at his old watch, and realized with a sudden rush that he had to go get to his extra class. His smile turned into a nervous smile,"Um..i got to go. before i am late. sorry bout dis and." He said with a little quirk of jumpiness.
"Okay. See ya." She said, waving to him.

Sky looked at the new girl and smiled. "Well welcome to Hogwarts." She said. "Nice to meet you too. Yeah we were singing. We're weirdos." She said, looking at Jackie and Leah with a small grin.

Libby smiled back at Sky "Thankyou" Libby replied. "haha no your not weirdo's, I love singing I also play a bit of guitar and Piano in my spare time" she said smiling at the three girl.
*I play piano too! Well, I did.* Leah said smiling. She stood up to give the girls knucks and said, *Welcome.*
Jackie looked at Sky. "Ok, missy. Speak for yourself. Not all of us are as weird as other..." Jackie paused. "Yeah, ok we're all pretty weird." She said with a small laugh.
Leah laughed and said, *Jackie, I don't think it's really possible for us to not be weird!*
