Ginny stood next to her desk, surveying the orbs held there. Various colors showed from them, almost every color of the rainbow. The room was dim, and the wall near her desk was awash with the colors from the orbs.
Ginny tapped each one, checking to make sure it was secure before she folded her arms, apparently satisfied.
She glanced up at the clock on the wall, just as the bell rang. Students would be filing in now.
((Is this class for people with elemental powers? Or is it for people to learn to use them?))
Albus walked in, smiling. It had been a time since Ginny had held a class, and he had missed the last one.
The dim light in the class room was a change, and he inspected the orbs in the classroom.
He throwed his backpack at a chair, then, walked up to Ginny.
The classroom was starting to fill up.
Albus asked her, " What are we gonna do today? Are we gonna make those orbs? Is those orbs elemental orbs?" enthusiasthically.

Ginny chuckled at Albus's enthusiasm. She tilted her head to the side, she inspected the boy. Finally she nodded at the seats, "You'll see, Albus. Have a seat and relax, ok?" She kept her smile, still chuckling warmly.
Sky quietly walked through the classroom door. She appeared to be a little sleepy. Too many late nights and few hours of sleep. She wiped her eyes and looked at Ginny's desk. "Wow! Is that what we're working with today?" She squinted her eyes to get a better picture of the orbs. They were really pretty for being an object of nature. Sky walked over to Albus. "Mind if I sit with ya?" She asked with a grin.
" Okay then Ginny... Guess I'll have to wait for five everlasting minutes!" Albus said, smiling to her.
He quickly turned his head as Sky talked, then smiled to her also.
The reply came quickly. " Sure you can! " He walked to the place he had thrown his backpack to,
one of the front places in the class, closest to the wall, his favourite place.
He snatched his backpack, and fished out his wand, a quill, some ink and a little notebook,
where he kept nearly everything they learned in Ginny's classes.
Then, he turned to Sky, asking her, " Why do you seem so tired? "
Sky smiled at him. "Thanks Albus." She sighed. "I stay up too late and never catch up on sleep. An easy fix I'll get to eventually." She responded to his question. She took her seat at the table and sat her bag on the floor next to her, taking out a notebook and her other essentials. She looked up at Ginny. "I have a feeling I'll really enjoy this class." She said, grinning.
Billie had been hunting all night and fell asleep really late. She woke up a little later then usual and got dressed in a hurry. *If I'm late to Ginny's class I'll be in huge trouble* She thought to herself as she put on a pair of black low top converse. Billie finished toeing her shoes and she ran down the stairs. She was sorta scared about what would happen if she was late to Ginny's class. Billie ran into the classroom and fell into one of the front desks. She sighed in relief. "I thought I was going to be late" she said putting her hair back into a ponytail. She placed her wand on her desk and looked up at the orbs. *I wonder what those are* she thought to herself. She was curious to know what they were and what she could do with them.
Astraea walked around the commonroom and messed around with her skirt. She was bored and it seemed no one was in the commonroom. She walked walked over to the class schedule and read the classes. It seemed like Ginny's class started soon. "I guess I can go, I hope she doesn't mind me joining one of her classes" Astraea said to herself. She opened the portrait, and began walking to the room Ginny's class was being held in. She walked in the door and saw Ginny. She walked up to the desk. "Do you mind if I join this class I have no where else to go?" she said. She was lieing, but wanted to join her class.
Stacey walked in nervously. She had just found out recently that she could control a few elements. Her best was fire. She had always liked small fires. She slowly walked up to Ginny`s desk, passing Albus and Sky. She stopped newt to Astraea. "Um, hi Ginny." She said nervously. "Can I join this class?"
Jackie wandered into class. She was nervous, being the only element she could control was water. Because of course she was a Siren. She sat down quietly at a desk next to Sky, smiling at her and playing with her fingers which were now made of water. She couldn't explain how she did it, but when she wanted to, her body, any part, could become made purely of water and maintain its shape. Jackie was still having trouble figuring it out. She already hated being a Siren enough, but all the new powers thrown into the mix, was terribly confusing. Hopefully Ginny coulf help her sort a bit of it out.
Ginny smiled at Astraea and Stacey, nodding. "Sure, you guys. My classes are open to everyone, as long as you don't show up late or disrupt class I'm fine with you."
She looked towards the quickly filling seats, "Better find some empty desks, girls."
As everyone finished settling in, Ginny hoisted herself onto her desk beside the orbs. She smiled at the students as the bell rang and she swung her legs.
"Morning, guys." Ginny said, perfectly comfortable with the students watching her.
"Can anyone tell me what the four major elements are?"
Billie looked at Stacey and the other girl as they sat down she smiled and looked back at Ginny. *Four major ones* Billie said and then she knew the answer. She raised her hand and waited to be called all.
Albus looked at Ginny, and the others that had came into the class.
He saw Billie raise her hand, but didn't bother to put his hand up then.
The orbs water and air orb was calling to Albus, and, a great feeling swept over him.
Then, he also raised his hand, looking at the water orb tiredly.
"Go ahead Billie, you were first." Ginny assented, nodding at the younger girl with a smile. She looked down at the array of possibly twenty different orbs with a smile. It should be easy, the orbs were arranged so that the four majors were between all of the minors.
Sky focused her attention on the orbs that contained fire and water. Two opposites that she loved very much. Together, they would be a good team. She didn't bother to raise her hand. The question was pretty simple.
Jackie sat at her desk attentivly waiting for Billie to answer the question.
Stacey sat and looked at Billie. Stacey knew the answer, fire, water, air, and earth. She knew Ginny wouldn`t like it if she blurted out the answer, so she kept her mouth shut. And she knew full well that Ginny could see it in her mind.
"The four main elements are Water, Fire, Earth, and Air" she said. She smiled and hoped she got them right.
Astraea smiled. Her world was practically made of the elements. Most fairies life's were. She was able to control fire and earth.
Ginny nodded, "Exactly right." She picked up four orbs, placing them at the front of the rest. There was a red and orange one, Fire. A deep ocean blue one, Water. A clear blue one, Air. And a green and brown one, Earth.
"Out of all four of these, can anyone tell me which is the strongest?" Ginny tilted her head, her smile puzzling them.
Albus shot his hand up in the air. Knowing the answer pretty well, he smiled,
then looked around if someone else knew it.
"Hmmm." Ginny pretended to think about it, then smiled.
"Can you tell me, Albus?" She asked, leaning forward. She put her elbows on her knees, her head in her hands as she looked at him.
" Well... Every element has a weakness, and a strenght. Where one element has a weakness,
another element has a strenght in what is it's weakness. Like fire and water.
Water, puts the fire out, and, fire can be used to make the water go out into the air.
It's like that all the way, but I can't come up with something else right now..."
Albus said, put his hand down, and smiled.
Then, he grabbed his quill, dipped it in ink, and wrote, 'Elementals' in his little note book.
Ginny's brow furrowed, "Are you trying to tell me that none of these is more powerful than the other?" She asked him.
"Because, then you'd be right." Ginny hopped off her desk and went around it to the blackboard. With the chalk, she drew a circle. She turned to face the class, "Where one element conquers another, yet another conquers it."
She set the chalk down and put her hands on her hips.
"However, mastering each element is different. Fire is the hardest to control, water is the second hardest. Air is easiest, with Earth being the middle."
She pointed at the other orbs on her desk, "Each of those is a minor elemental orb. If you are able to control at least two major elements, you can control that minor element as well." She paused, thinking.
"That is, anything that is made up mostly of those two elements."
Jackie smiled, her eyes transfixed upon the water orb. She was only good at water, only water. Nothing else, every other atempt at anything else had failed miseribly. She felt at home in water. Which in truth she was.
Jackie took her notebook, quill, and ink and wrote Elements at the top of her page in neat scrawly handwriting.
Stacey sighed, she felt as if she was a failure at her fire-gift. She could only control it enough to light the commonroom fires. She thought for a moment, forgetting that Ginny could read her mind, she thought that she might be able to control a couple of the minor elements to. She wrote on her note book too. Then she raised her hand lazily.
Ginny looked toward Stacey, blinking as though she had forgotten the girl was ther. Then she bnodded, "A question, Stacey?"
Virgil sighed as he looked at the chalkboard as he quickly got out his notebook, and started writing what all was on the board with his black quill. It would figure that Virgil would happen to use the element that was the hardest to control.
"What are the minor elements?" Stacey asked, she looked at the many orbs on the teacher`s desk. She wanted to write the names of them down so she could do a little research on them and hopefully find out if she could control any off them.
Ginny glanced at the orbs on her desk, "Well, there's actually quiet a few. Electricity, ice, plasma, just to name three. No one knows for sure how many minor elements there are." She shrugged, "I definitely don't."
"I just know that if you can control the major elements, you can control the minor ones." Ginny paused, "I'm actually going to teach you how to make these orbs. It's not hard, and they are useful, if not fun to play with."
Albus smiled, finally, he was going to know how to make those orbs.
He looked deeply into the light blue, wanting to hold it.
Then, he wrote in his little notice book, 'How To Make Elemental Orbs!' with a scrawly,a bit hard to read handwriting. Many times had he gotten scowled at because of his handwriting.
When he wanted, he could write with a neat handwriting, but usually, it wasn't so neat.
Sky copied what was on the board in a fine small font. She was excited to see what she could learn from this class. Maybe she could learn to master an element. She laughed to herself. Yeah right.
Albus turned his head, whispering to her, " Why are you laughing so sudden?" looking at her.
He smiled, this class was really fun.
Then, he wrote down the minor elements he could come up with.
Sky smiled. "I thought about mastering an element. Then I thought 'yeah right'! Like that's gonna happen. It takes a loooong time to do that." She whispered, now doodling in her notebook.
"Oh, ok." Stacey said, more to herself than anyone. She picked up her quill and finished writting for the moment. She figured she could probably be able to control electricity and plasma ((plasma as in lava right?)) because of their relation to fire.
Astraea looked at Ginny. She had forgotten some of the other minor Elements. Astraea raised her hand and waited to be called on and let the elements run through her mind. *Well there's also the stars, magnets, snow, and ice* she thought to herself.
Sky looked at Astraea. "Snow and Ice would be from water." She said to her.
Stacey added the few minor elements spoken to her list. She would have to do some experiments once she was outside.
"Astraea, do you have a question?" Ginny asked, tuning and facing the fairy girl. She smiled, nodding as a go-ahead.
"I'll answer just about anything."
"Well its not a question Professor its just you left out a few minor elements like the stars, magnets, snow, and ice" Astraea said. She had been studying the elements all her life. She looked over at Sky and gave her a weak smile. "I know that they are made from water, but they're two separate minor elements, and it takes less to control them then it does to control the major element water* she said after thinking baout it for a moment.
Billie just sat there and started to take notes. She didn't have anything to say, but was really interested about learning the elements and the decussion around her was pretty cool to.
Ginny shrugged, "I said I didn't know all of them. There's even more than that, Astraea. But I'm not taking twenty minutes to tell you all of the ones that are known."
She raised an eyebrow, "Well, unless you guys want to forgo learning to make and control the orbs to learning all of the minor elements..."
"No!" Albus half shouted before he could even think. It was an obvius trick question, and Albus had fallen right into it. He blushed deeply, his skin now a dark dark blue. Wanting to get the attention off him,
he wrote a little rule on the page. 'Never burst out in class'
Then, he looked up, wanting to learn to make these orbs.
Jackie had been writing on her page and was planning to do some expieramenting outside of class. She had to clamp a hand to her mouth when Albus burst out, to stifle what seemed like infinate amounts of laughter, waiting on the tip of her tounge.
Sky looked around the room. Seriously, what was so funny about that? She agreed with Albus. She didn't want to waste time learning about the minor things when she could learn the major things. "Heh, it's okay Albus." Sky said with a smile.
Stacey blinked a few times and smiled, there wasn`t anything really funny about what had happened, it just was funny. She looked back to Ginny, knowing she wanted to get going.
Virgil looked at Albus quickly, before looking back towards Ginny, as he raised his hand and said "Um.. I can already make orbs of fire in my hand. I've been practicing ever since I was about 10." he said as he waited for a comment back.
Ginny chuckled at Albus's outburst and shook her head slightly. She nodded towards Virgil, "Good. Then you can concentrate on creating a few of the minor ones more closely associated with fire."
She nodded towards Albus, "But I still need to teach them," She glanced around the room, "Or attempt to teach them, how to make orbs."
Billie smiled. They were finally learning what she had been waiting for. She had her paper and pen out and was waiting to learn.
Virgil looked down at his notbook, before looking back towards Ginny, as he raised his hand and asked "Is it possible to learn more than one major element?" as this was puzzling him for a while.
Ginny smirked, holding out her hands. Teaching by example was always fun when she was the teacher.
In her hands she formed four extra orbs, identical to the ones on her desk. She began to juggle them, never leaving her seat.
"Learning all four major elements takes a bit, and it is really hard. Even for the most skilled person." She winked at them as she caught and tossed the orbs, "But it is possible."
Albus looked around, waiting for something to happen. He couldn't wait.
There was a tripping sound, made of a pair of feets.
Albus was tripping his feet up and down, now, wanting badly to try to make elemental orbs, and, strangely enough, he wanted to whistle.
Stacey looked at Virgil, she didn`t know he could only control the element of fire, just like her. When Albus started to tap his feet, she glanced at him, he could be very impatient sometimes.
