Stacey had some books in her arms and was walking down a corridor. She turned a corner and walked right into someone. "Oh, I`m sorry." She said, looking up to see who she had ran into. She looked up into the eyes of the new guy, Jason Mitch.
"Oh, hi, my fault." Jason said. Stacey collected her books and stepped back to give him his space.
"Hi, you`re new aren`t you?" She asked, her eyes turning brown with curiosity.
"Um, yea. I`m in Sytherin. Do you know where the common room is?" He asked, looking at Stacey questioningly.
"Yea, come on I can show you." Stacey said, walking past him, noticing how cute he was. She led him to the entrance to the Slytherin common room. "Here it is." She said, stopping in fromt of the door.
"Oh, how do you get in?" Jason asked, looking at the portrait.
"Oh, yea," Stacey turned back to the picture. "Three Broomsticks." She said, recalling the password Niles had givin her earilier.
"Cool." He said, walking into the room, not noticing another person in the room. Jason turned back to the still open door with Stacey standing there. "Aren`t you coming in?" He asked, thinking she was in Slytherin.
"No, I`m a Gryffindor." Stacey said, looking back to the other person in the room. "Hi." She said.
Raven, who was in her leopard form, was sitting near a window, bathing in what little sunlight that made it's way into the dungeon. Her ears perked up when the two students entered the common room. She turned her head and sat up, forming into her human self. "What are you doing here?" She asked them. She looked at Jason's robes. "Ah, Slytherin. Cool." She eyed Stacey. "But I already know what you are. And you shouldn't be here."
Lavy came skipping down the steps like she was five again. She even looked like she was five rather then sixteen. Her hair was in pigtails that spun in thick spirls all the way do her back.
She was wearing a very short navy blue dress that only went down to just above her mid thigh but under that she had black leggins that went to just below her knees. Her ballet flats were bright pink, but oddly enough went with her whole outfit. She stepped into the sunlight, her light coffee colored glowing almost unnaturally. She had a look of concern on her face.
"Pulling in more strays, Stacey?"
Stacey rolled her eys and stepped into the room. "No, I`m not. This is Jason, he`s a new student here. I was showing him his common room." Stacey looked over to Raven, her eyes turning dark gray. "And you know that houses mean nothing to me."
Jason looked at the two girls in the room, not knowing who they where. He could tell the one who had been a leopard was a Slytherin, but he couldn`t tell which house the other was in.
Raven glared at Stacey. "Even so, you can't just run into another house's common room anytime you want." She sighed and hopped up from where she was sitting and walked over to Jason, extending out her hand. "Hello. I'm Raven. Forgive me for being so rude just a moment ago, but sometimes...people can really get on my nerves."
Astraea had been wondering the castle. She was sort of lost. Finally she saw an open portrait, and poked her head inside. She saw Stacey and three people she didn't know. She had seen some of them around the grounds, but hadn't ever talked to them. She walked in slowly. She looked around. It was the Slytherin commonroom. Slytherins had always gave her the hebbi gebbis, but she needed to find her way to her commonroom. Astraea stood there for a second, and could fell the tension in the room. She started to back up, but bumped into someone. Astraea turned quickly. "I'm sorry" she said quitly and quietly.
Lavy held up her hands, "Please everyone clam down. There's really no need for all of this. You'll scare him away on his first day."
She reached out and pulled Jason away from everyone else so that he wouldn't be in the middle of a battle of wills, "I do really apologize for them. They know better then that. I'm Lavy. You must be Jason. Ginny, told me to make sure you were all set and comfortable. So anything you need at all please come and ask me."
Stacey looked at Raven with red-gray eyes. "I don`t care what the house is, if a friend needs me, or if a stranger is in need, I will help them. Houses don`t matter to somw people." She finished.
Jason looked at Lavy. "Thank you." He said in a low voice. He looked at the girl in front of him. He couldn`t tell if she was a teacher or a student. He looked at Raven. "Sometimes people get on my nerves too, but I control my emmotions." He said to her in a monotone voice.
Stacey smiled at Jason. "So Jason, I guess your all set." She said, glancing at Lavy with trust in her now blue eyes.
"He's safe with me Stace. Come on..." She took his hand and lead him towards the steps leading then to the boys dormitory, "We'll make sure all you're things are in you're room and then I'll show you around the place."
Lavy was enjoying her assignment. It kept her mind off her current situation. She was glad that Ginny had asked her to do this. Even though she could still go to class, Lavy knew everything they were teaching. And more, she felt strange sitting with everyone, alot of whom knew that she had been missing for a long time. She was happy to get away from all the judgemental stares and whispered comments
Astraea turned and looked at the remaining people in the commonroom. Stacey and, we she wasn't to sure who the other girl was, but she was scary. Astraea walked over Stacey and waved slightly. "Hey Stacey who were those people?" she asked her then turned to the girl. "Whats your name?" she asked slightly scared about talking to her.
"Don`t call me Satce!" Stacey yelled after Lavy. "He is a new student here." Stacey said to Astraea. "That`s Raven." She said, nodding towards Raven. "The girl with the pigtails was Lavy. I have to go Astraea." She didn`t bother to say goodbye to Raven, she would be glad Stacey was leaving.
Jason followed the girl. "Uh," He took his hand away. "Sorry, but I have no idea who you are." He said as politely as possible. He looked around the dormitory and saw his trunk next to a bunk. He walked over to it.
Lavy laughed, "Sorry. How rude of me. I really need to start remembering to tell people who I am."
She raised her hand again so he could shake it, "I'm Lavy. Technically I'm a student here but since I've already learned everything they teach here, I deal with school issues. Mostly student affairs, like showing new ones around."
"Oh Okay" Astraea said. "well I guess I should go to then" she said. She looked at Raven. "Nice to meet you Raven" she said and turned towards the door and walked out.
Jason shook Lavy`s hand. He was confused. She was wearing funny clothes for someone who took care of school issues. But he kept his thoughts polight, he didn`t know if she could read minds.
Lavy shrugged, answering Jason unspoken question, "I just felt like dressing up today. I'm tired of jeans and a t-shirt. I saw this dress and the shoes and it kinda reminded me of a baby doll," She twisted some of her hair around her finger, "Which is why I did pigtails."
Jason decided to just ask his other question before he got more confused. "Do you read minds?" He asked. Looking around the room again.
"Yeah, sorry," She said, "Sometimes I can hear other's thoughts when I don't mean to. If it really bothers you I can con control it, better."
"Why bother when half of the world can read my mind. I just needed to know." Jason replied, blowing it off as something casual. His left arm flinched again as it seared with pain. ((Death Eater)) To keep his mind secure, he never thought directly of his thoughts when he knew someone could read it.
Lavy reached out automatically to comformt him, but she stopped herself. She wasn't trying to break through his mind block, which was clearly strong, but she could see the pain on his face.
"Are you alright?"
"Yea, I`m fine." Jason replied, stepping a small step back. He was good at hiding his emmotions. "It`s just, I`m not used to it in here." He said, trying to cover up his pain.
Lavy bit her lip, not knowing what to do. He was lying, that much she knew. His face was smooth as stone but his eyes still held a hint of the pain he was in. But what could she do? He wanted to hid his feelings not display them to the public. How was she suppose to help him if he didn't want it?
"It, as in the room?" She asked.
"What?" It was true that Jason was excelent at hiding his emotions, but he could tell that Lavy knew. He was also truly confused.
"Why.....why are you so uncomfortable?"
Jason immediately understood. "Well, it`s kind of cold in here." Lavy had was way off. "I mean, I just met you so...." He didn`t finish his sentence.
Lavy was suddenly the one confused She understood the first part of his statement but the second....Well she didn't worry about it at that moment. Insdead she turned away and waved her hand at the small fireplace across the room. It a spark burst inside of it and within a second a cozy fire was going.
"Better?"
"Um, yea. I could`ve done that." He said looking at the fire. He has control of all the major elements and most of the minor ones. He was glad Lavy didn`t understand his previous comment.
Lavy shrugged. "Alot of us can. But I'm here to make you're life a little easier. So...." She walked over and sat down on one of the beds. "Jason. Tell me about yourself."
Jason sat down on his bed. He hated when people asked this question, he had to make up a story. "Um, well, I have control over all of the elements. I went to Durmstrang ((Did I spell it right?)) for four years, then my family came here."
(Yeah I think so....)
Lavy nodded, "You know you could just not answer the question, rather then lie to me." She crossed her arms.
Jason looked Lavy square in the eye. "I did answer the question. And nobody said I was lying." He was the greatest lire ever, no one could ever tell if he was lying or not. His left arm had stopped hurting.
"Yes, somebody did say you were lying, or at the very least thinking about it. There really is no need. You're life is your life. If you would prefer me to know nothing about it then just tell me. I would rather you just not tell me then insult my intelligence and my powers by lying."
She stood up and walked over to the window. The perfect morning was now gone. The sky was gray and a light drizzle was starting. She sighed, annoyed. Mostly with things other then Jason but he was getting on her nerves as well. But with this job that did happen sometimes.
"Anyways...."
Jason was dumbfounded for a moment. "Ok then. I would rather you not know." He said confused. "I didn`t mean to insult you. Most people don`t really care if I lie or not. Most people don`t even notice me." He said, looking down at his trunk.
His words calmed her down just enough to take off the edge "Well I care. You'll see that you'll make friends quickly and easily here. We're pretty open to anything and most of us don't judge for what others have done in the past...or the present. You'll have to work hard to stay invisible here."
Jason didn`t say anything. He just thought about what Lavy had said. He could pretty much make himself invisable, not the magic way, but the 'hiding in plain sight' way.
She rolled her eyes, hearing the thought easily but not responding. She had more important things to do, "So do you want to see the school and the grounds," She paused, "Well maybe not the grounds, unless you feel like walking in the rain."
"Um, okay." Jason said, he was still a little confused by Lavy. What she wore made her look very immature, but she was quite the opposite. "Just inside I mean." He added. He stood up, ready to go.
Lavy smiled, "I was hoping you would say that." She walked over to the door and held it open for him, "Whenever the weathers nice I can show you the lake and the forest."
Jason walked out of the door slowly. He waas now even more confused. She had been irritated just a moment ago, now she was cheerful. Even though he was 16, girls still confused him majorly. He walked into the commonroom and waited for Lavy.
It took Lavy a full ten minutes to go back downstairs. And when she finally did make it down she looked completely different. Her hair was all the way down down in loos spirals. It bounced with each step she took.
She had changed her dress and leggins for dark blue jeans and a loose black shirt. Her pink ballet slipperes were replaced by white ones and she had a wide white belt to match them. Her clear sea blue eyes were sparkling again.
"Students probably wouldn't even reconize me if I walked around looking like I was five," She said before Jason could ask, "I figure I might was well look more my age. Gives me an air of authority." She shrugged, "And it's more down-to-earthly, which is more me. I'm not girly-girly. Most of the time."
Jason watched Lavy walk down the stairs, her hair bouncing. "Oh." He replied to her comment about her clothes. He walked over to the door and turned back to her. "About how many students go here?" He asked, his voice full of curiosity. "How many of them are in Slytherin." He added, rubbing his hands on his jeans.
(AHHHHH!!!!!!!! Totally making this all up!!!!!!!! ???)
"I would say that there is at least five hundred students in each house, so about two thousand. But then again...Slytherin and Ravenclaw both have well over six hundered students, so i guess that would be more then two thousand. I would say it's safe to say we have about twenty two hundred students."
"Okay." Jason said, opening and walking out the door into the corridor, waiting for Lavy to follow. "And how many times do students get to go to Hogsmead?" ((you know, the times when they`re ALLOWED to go....)) Jason was now trying to make conversation.
"Once a month, on a Saturday. And then during holidays you can go down there anytime between eleven and five."
"Okay. Jason started to walk down the corridor. "So what are you going to show me?" He asked.
"I start with the Dinng Hall and then I'll show you the different wings of the school and were you're classes will be." She started down the first flight of stepps at a quick pace. "And after that I'll take you anywhere you want to go. Anywhere within reason, anyways."
"Okay." Jason repeated, rushing to keep up with Lavy. "What about meeting some teachers, or at least more people?"
Lavy smiled, "It's Saturday. Most of them are at Hogsmead. But I'm sure we can find a few...oh there's someone now."
Lavy pointed at a boy about there age at the bottom of the steps. he was dressed very casually, in jeans and a pea green long sleeve shirt that was rolled up over his elbows. He was tall, much taller then both of them and strong as well, his long muscles distinct under his shirt. He was changing a hairbrush into a variety of animals. "Hello, Greg." She called to him and her turned to look to see who was calling.
"Hey there!" He said back, standing up and smiling as well, He noticed Jason at once. "Cheating on me already Lavy?"
Lavy rolled her eyes, "That could only happen if we were dating, Greg."
Greg shrugged, "Yeah, I guess. So who is you're new friend?"
Jason looked at Greg. He cleared his throat and spoke. "I`m Jason, I`m new here. What house are you in?" He asked, not really wanting to associate with other houses.
Greg, grinned wider, seeing the look on his face and reading in carefully, "Slytherin, why?"
(gtg i'll be back in about an hour and a half or so in case you want to keep posting)
((ok, i MAY be on, but, depending on how late it will be, i may not))
Jason smiled back. "Oh, just wandered. I`m Slytherin too." His left arm twitched again.
"I was just showing Jason around, Greg."
"Is that safe?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well...you know Neo and everything."
"Don't you worry yourself about Neo. He's my problem. I can handle him. besides. We're safe for now. Remember that the only time he can really catch me off guard is at night. And I'm not staying here at night."
Greg reached out and pulled her down the last of the steps into a hug, "I still don't like it."
"Well, I can't say I'm sorry. I'm not suppose to lie to students."
"So Jason, right? You like it here so far?" Greg asked, turning back to him.
(Can I join.. either as Pete or Billie or both?)
(Yeah)
(okiee day!!)
Billie and Pete both had just came from the kitchens, they had been visiting with the house elves. They walked a while without saying anything, but listening to everything around them. These were the times they got along best.
Pete stopped and listened for a moment. Billie had stopped as Pete stopped. They both heard voices. They walked around a corner and sure enough near the stairs there were people. Pete knew Lavy somewhat, but not the other two. Billie didn't know any of them.
Billie looked at the group of people. A girl and two boys. Billie shrugged her shoulders, and walked towards the group. She felt like meeting new people today. Billie waited until there was somewhat of a silence then she walked up to them. "Hey I'm Billie" she said smiling. "what are your names?" she asked.
Pete just followed Billie and kept quiet until Billie was quite then he smiled a small smile "I'm Pete" He said.
Jasondecided to answer Greg first. "I just got here to day, so I really don`t know yet." Then he turned to the two people he didn`t know. "I`m Jason, Slytherin."
"I'm Billie, Gryffindor" Billie said. She hates being in Gryffindor, but has only told one other person.
"I'm Pete, I'm also in Gryffindor, So what year are you in?" he asked.
Jason shifted his weight. "Well, I went to Durmstrang for four year, the my family moved here. So I`m a fifth year." He said, looking at the two Gryffindors.
Billie smiled. "I'm a fifth year to, Pete is in seveth year. So how did you like it at Durmstrang?" Billie asked. She knew that most Slytherins didn't like Gryffindors, but she was friends with a few Slytherins so hoped that they all could be friends.
Pete just stood there and looked around. He decided he would keep quiet for now and just listen to the conversation.
((hes an active death eater))
"It was, okay." Was all Jason replied.

Jason looked at Greg. He cleared his throat and spoke. "I`m Jason, I`m new here. What house are you in?" He asked, not really wanting to associate with other houses.
(Thats okay..)
Billie smiled. "Pete went there his third year and I went there my first year, it was much different then Hogwarts." Billie said. "But I liked it, and I liked what they taught" she said.
((Durmstrange is an all-male school)) Jason looked back to Lavy. "We should get going right?" He asked, anxiouis to get away from Gryffindors.
(I totally jus remembered that... lol.. oh well.. other people don't have to know that... lol)
Billie didn't say anything and just stood there.
Pete looked over at Lavy. She hadn't said anything since they had walked up.
Lavy hadn't been talking to the three of them because she was deep in conversation with Greg. They were arguing about something.
"Greg, love, I can't do that. You know the rules."
"Oh come on Lavy," He begged, "Just this one time. You're always talking about your time living there, I just want to see it for myself."
"No. He probably has it being watched. I'm not going to risk my life or yours so you can get a cheap thrill."
Greg crossed his arms, "But I like cheap thrills."
"Which is actually why I wouldn't take you. You would be too distacted if something were to happen. Besides, Ginny would kill me."
"No she wouldn't."
Lavy turned away from him, to Pete and Billie, "Hi, you two." She said in a more pleasent voice. Greg reached out and started pocking her arm, trying to get her attention again, but she simply hit his hand away. "What have you been up to?"
Billie slightly laughed. "Nothing to much, what about you" She said and smiled
Pete smiled. "Same, Haven't had to much to do lately" he added
"Oh me? Just showing Jason around." She hit Greg's hand away again.
"That sounds fun" Billie said. "Um does he want something?" Billie asked about the boy who was poking Lavys arm.
"Yes," Greg said.
"But you're not going to get it."
"Why?"
"I already told you, Greg. Ginny would kill me."
Jason shifted his weight while he watched the conversation. "Lavy..." She said quietly but persistant. He really wasn`t comfortable around the two Gryffindors.
Billie felt that Jason wasn;t comfortable around her and Pete. "Whats up with you?" she asked slightly rude.
Jason narrowed his eyes and his left arm jerked. He knew that no one could read his mind; Lord Voldemort had made sure of that. "I`m just warm." He said, fanning himself with his hand.
Lavy knew why Jason was acting the way he was. "Come on then, I'll take you to the dingons. It's much cooler there then here." She grabbed Jason's hand and started down the flights of steps again. "Bye, guys." She called over her shoulder.
Jason followed Lavy down the stairs, trying to keep up with her quick pace. His hand was slightly sweaty in Lavy`s cool hand. "So, uh, how much do you know about me?" He asked, not knowing how much she was told.
Lavy didn't answer him until they were far away from the others and then she stopped abruptly, causing Jason to run into her, "Enough to know that that pain in you're arm isn't a muscle spasm, or something normal."
She reached out and touched his arm. She spoke to him earnestly, but still very gently and comforting, "And I know some other things...things you think are hidden, but aren't. There are people here more powerful then Lord Voldermort. Not many, a handful in a school of so many. But we are here. You will find it more difficult then you origanally thought to keep us out."
Jason stepped back, making Lavy`s hand leave his arm. He didn`t say anything, he didn`t know what to say. He had made sure that people would underestimate him.
"Please don't be frightened. It's necessary for us to know. We need to know where all the students have been and what they've done. Nothing childish our private. But something like this....we needed to know." She said pleadingly.
Jason took another step back, his back touching the wall. "What I`ve done?" He asked.
Lavy took a step back as well, giving him the space that he clearly need, "I know what you are. Ginny's the only one who knows. And we have no intention of telling anyone. If you really are here to learn then there's no reason for us to fear you. I just need to know Jason...why are you here?"
"To learn." Jason replied with trust in his voice. He had been taught better than Lavy knew. More than anyone could know. Even Ginny. Jason exhaled deeply, he wasn`t used to the air temperature of the Hogsmead area.
Lavy nodded, not believing him at all, "Back to our tour, then." She started down a dark hallway, "These are the dungeons. We don't use them really. At all, actually. But they use to use them. They were the first things built in this school, but are kept up pretty well...."
Jason squinted his eyes and followed Lavy silently.
"I guess I could give you an entire history of this place but where would be the fun in that? None whatsoever, so insdead I'll show you all the cool places you can use to sneak out of..." Lavy winked at him.
Jason didn`t know whether to take that as a joke or a threat. "So what house are you in?"
"Umm...well you probably won't like me very much once I tell you. Seeing how you seem to hate all Gyrffindors...but just take comfort in the fact that I'm only a student here by title not by deeds. I don't even really go to class anymore unless I'm terribly bored out of my mind."
Jason smiled. "I won`t take it against you." He said.
(Come on Stacey I need more then that if you want me to post anything decent)
Jason smiled and blushed slightly. "I won`t hold it against you, Lavy." He said looking towards the ground as he walked. "Some people take houses to seriously."
"Far to seriously. Some people think that it's hard to reach outside your own house and that doing it is a complet waste of time. But I find that completely untrue. It is actually very beneficial. You get to meet alot of cool people."
"Yea, cool people." Jasoon replied, lowering his voice. "But sometimes, sometimes people take it too far." He added, rasing his voice back to normal.
Something was off, that much she knew, but she couldn't place it in his voice. She was about to ask him what was wrong but then thought better of it, "Yeah, but sometimes it's ok. Like during Quiddich. Team spirit can go a long way. Do you like Quiddich?"
"Yea. I play beater." Jason said, adding happiness to his voice.
"Beater? I should have known." Lavy laughed, turned a coner and started down another hallway. This on was brighter and much wider then the last one they were in but it was still clearly a dungon.
Jason looked over at Lavy. "What`s so funny?" He asked smiling. He looked around the hall. Where are we going?"
"The most violent position of the game. You seem like the ind of guy who holds his anger in. But once you're playing you let it all out. Am I right?" She asked, ignoring his second question.
Jason smirked. "Nah. I didn`t get the Seeker position, got stuck with beater. Where are we going?" He repeated.
A flight of steps came into view, "We're moving up. We can go to the Dining Hall if you want. Personally I'm ravished but if you want to continue I can eat later."
"Sure, I don`t care where we go." Jason, said, smiling sweetly at Lavy. "Do you play Qiuttage?"
"I sure do. I play Chaser, only the best postion of all of them."
Jason let out a small laugh. "So where is this Great Hall?" He asked, trying to keep the tour going.
"It's three floors up from here. Above us is basically storage space and then the Kitchen and then the Great Hall." They reached what she had described as storage space. There were lots of nic nacs sitting around like desk and chairs and other things used in the class room.
"Why is all this stuff here?" Jason asked. He shufled his feet and leaned against the wall. "Is it just here so this space isn`t wasted?"
"No, all the these things are down here mainly because it needs to be fixed or there was too many of them. Mainly it's because of student trying to do a spell or something and they end up breaking something."
She stopped and turned to look at Jason, "Before they used it for storage it was just empty space, though."
"What?" Jason asked, questioning the look he was getting from Lavy. He looked strait into her eyes. He couldn`t tell what she was thinking at all.
She shrugged and decided to not answer his question. She turned back around and started walking towards a little wooden ladder on the other side of the huge dusty room. She continued talking as if she hadn't even stopped to begin with,
"The elves are always so nice to everyone. They'll give you food if you missed dinner or something. And sometimes they make little snacks when their bored and they just give them out to anyone who happens to be passing by."
Jason followed Lavy down the ladder. "Okay, and is the food really good?" He said, trying to think of something to say.
(we went up)
There were in another room. It was much smaller then the last. It was packed to the top with foods of all sorts and ingredents. They both had to duck down so they didn't hit there heads, "It's only the best food in the whole of England, it is." She pushed a door open to relvie the kitchen. There where elves running around like a mad house, Lunch was about to start. The four table that looked just like the ones in the Great Hall were being covered with dish after dish.
"Here we are."
**UP the ladder**
"Whoa." Jaosn said, watching the elves.
"GUESTS!!!!!" An elf shouted. Then a wave of elves came forward with plates of food. Jason looked at Lavy for help.
Lavy smiled and patted the closet elf on the head, "Go finish your work first before you even think about worrying about us."
The elves all nodded and ran off to finish their work. Lavy pulled Jason over to a small little table so that they could wait for the elves to finish. "So what do you think of the place so far?"
"It`s nice. Definetly different than Durmstrang." Jason nodded. "I`m taking some extra classes, and I hope that the teachers are cool." He added. "How long have you gone here?"
"Five years. I didn't come here when I was 11."
"Okay." He said. He watched as a group of elves placed a large platter on the last table.
"STAND BACK!" An elf shouted, all the elves backed up against the wall. In a few seconds, the food disappered.
Jason looked at Lavy questioningly.
"The tables down here are magically connected to the ones in the Great Hall. They can send things back and forth between the eight of them."
Lavy took her hands off the table as some of the elves sat down some platters on the table. "It's very efficient
"Okay." Jason said to Lavy. "Uh, thank you." He called after the elves. He looked back at Lavy. "So that`s why they have to stand back, otherwise there would be elves on the tables upstairs?"
"Yep. And no one wants elves standing on their tables when their about to eat."
"So, what else is in this place?" Jason, asked, pulling a platter towards him that had the makings of a sandwich on it.
"Anything and everything. Well everything within reason. And if you can't find it in Hogwarts you can sure find it in Hogsmead. What are you intrested in?"
"Um, well, flying, I really don`t know." Jason said. He thought to himself why that was.
"Oh, that's going to have to change." She said disapprovingly.
Jason looked up at Lavy confused. "What do you mean?" He asked, looking back to his now finished sandwich.
"Well, not that flying is bad or anything. Just....it can't be the only thing you like to do can it. Because if so we need to change that. We have a huge library above us. You could take up reading."
"I really don`t like to read." Jason said, taking a big bite of his sandwich. "I thought you where hungry?"
Lavy's mouth was hanging open, "I man who doesn't like to read, what a surprise." She let her sarcasm run thick
Jason tilted his head to the side, chewing his food. "And you know tons of guys who read novels every day." He said sarcastically when he finished.
"Enough to know that they do do it. And not all of them are guys have glasses and high-water pants. Some of theem are actually really cool guys."
Jason smiled. "I`d like to meet some of these guys." He looked at Lavy, who still hadn`t touched a thing. "I thought you said you where hungry?"
She shrugged, "My hunger comes and goes. It's something I had to learn long ago. Sometimes I wouldn't be feed for days. I just learned to suppress then feeling after a while."
Jason was confused. "Um, did you not eat on purpose?" He asked, not sure if he would be under a touchy subject. "I mean, you don`t have to tell me, but..." He didn`t answer his sentence.
Lavy sighed, "I guess you should now first that I'm the only person left in my family. My brother and my parents were all murdered. Well...I assume my brothers were murdered because they never came home after school one day and a week later a bunch of blood matching theirs was found. That was when I was seven."
"But I had my parents until I was nine. After that a vampire by the name of Nathan Lefever took me to his coven. Since he's the leader no one could really argue about me being there but I came close a few times to dying. They would conveniently forget to feed me. Which is why I had to learn to let the hunger pains go. If I complained they only made it worse. Once I was crying I was so hungry so to teach me a lesson some of the girls there thought it would be fun to see how much blood they could take before I passed out. Needless to say it wasn't much since I was already so weak."
"Oh." Jason said, that not being what he expected to hear. "How did you get out?"
"This one night I could hear from my room that it was raining really hard. And over the rain I could hear a bunch of people arguing downstairs. I used just enough magic to bend the bars so I could fit through and then I jumped into the tree that was close to my window. Climbed down and I just kept running until i finally got into a town.
Jason looked down at the table, no longer hungry. "Oh." He repeated. He wondered just how much Lavy had been through.
"Yeah, I haven't had a pretty life, but I've learned alot from it. Is there anything else you want to know? I'm an open book."
Jason grinned. "I don`t read, remember?"
Lavy rolled her eyes but smiled, "Yeah. That's going to have to change."
Jason smiled. "So... what now?"
"I guess--"
"Oh, I found you guys!" said a voice behind them. Alvy looked up and sighed.
"Greg, really. What do you want?"
"Just to see what you were up to." He said.
Jason looked sadly at his plate. Why? He sighed. "Hi Greg." He said in a monotone voice.
"Hey there, dude," Greg said pulling up a chair as well. He didn't seem to notice Jason's change but Lavy did. While Greg was talking to an elf about what he wanted to eat Lavy reached out and gently touched Jason's hand.
"You alright?" She asked quietly.
Jason pulled his hand away from Lavy`s. "Yea, I`m fine." He said, although he knew she probably wouldn`t believe her.
Lavy left her hand was. She let her eyes wonder away from Jason and Greg and she looked out the window. It was still raining pretty hard but she was suddenly was in the mood to go outside. The fresh air might clear her head.
Jason looked sideways at Lavy. "I could make it stop raining if you want." He told her.
"I know you can..." She said only half listening to him, "But I like it. Sometimes it's nice to go play in nature. You know what I mean?"
"Do you want to go outside then?" He asked, hoping she would say yes.
"I'd love to."
"Love to what?" Greg asked.
"Nothing just eat your food."
Jason glared at Greg. "I was asking Lavy if she wanted to go outside."
Unlike before Greg noticed Jason's unpleasantness, "What's with all the hostility, man?"
"Nothing." He mumbled as he stood up. *I`ll be outside.* He said in his head. He shuffled out of the kitchen, much to the disappointment of many elves.
Lavy stood up to follow him but Greg stopped her, "What's his problem?"
"Nothing," Lavy repeated, "He just isn't very happy today."
"He seemed plenty happy before I got here."
"Well then I guess you have your answer then, don't you?"
"I don't see what the kids problem is. I just want to hang out with my girlfriend."
"Greg how many times do I have to tell you, stop saying I'm you're girlfriend. We went on one date. That hardly mean were dating."
"But you liked it."
"Yes. That doesn't mean were dating, though..." She pushed pass Greg and started after Jason.
Jason walked outside into the forest. It was cool in there, most of the sun was blocked by the leaves. He sat on the ground with his back against a tree, not far from the lake.
Lavy came up from behind him, "I'm sorry about that. Greg is a piece of work."
Jason turned around, then he saw it was Lavy, so he turned back away. "I could think of something else to call him." He mumbled under his breath.
"Yeah me too...." Lavy looked out over the lake for a moment before she said anything again, "So how are you liking the place so far?"
Jason glanced sideways at Lavy. "PRetty good." He answered.
"I hope Greg didn't completly ruin for you."
"No, he didn`t." He answered. He wasn`t trying to be short with her, but he wasn`t trying to be nice either.
"Oh...well...good." Lavy said feeling like Jason was cutting her out, "Well....I guess I'll just leave...."
"You don`t... have to go." He said, saying the last part quieter than the first.
"Oh. ok then." Lavy want over and sat down a few feet away from Jason. She didn't know what to say to him so she just kept silent.
Jason pursed his lips together and stared at the ground. He tried to start a conversation. "What`s your favorite color?"
"Green. It just reminds me that there are some beautiful things in the world since somedays it's hard to remember."
Jason nodded, acknowledging her answer. "I like red. It reminds me that some days are better than others. Red is also a lucky color."
Lavy chuckled darkly, "Yeah I can think of a few people who would agree with you."
Jason looked at Lavy with a sideways glance. "Then why do you laugh?"
Lavy looked at him, wondering if he could handle the truth, "Are you sure you want to know? It's not pleasent."
Jason raised an eyebrow. "I used to be a Death Eater, I can handle whatever you say." She paused and his voice got quieter. "Death Eaters do more than people know." He added.
"True...." Lavy became very still and silent for a long time, "Nathan enjoyed torturing humans. I think he envied them somehow. He loved being able to do whatever he wanted but I think...I think he wished he could die. That there was an end to it all."
"So he hated that humans could have what he wanted. Mind you, he wasn't use to not getting what he wanted. So every so often he bring some unsuspecting girl home. Well there were a few boys, too. But he would bring over and you would never see them again."
"You could hear them for sure. Screaming for days. Sometimes weeks. Not the best thing to try and sleep too. But sometimes I would see one of the vampires covered in blood. Nathan hated when they made a mess of things but they would get carried away 'having fun'...
"One thing I remember is whenever he would go out in a red shirt he would come back with someone. I hated those red shirt with a fiery passion. Which sounds funny when I say it out out loud cause when you say fiery passion you think of red."
[move]hey im in slytherin! (draco malfoy rules!)
(Please don't post in this topic if you're not going to actually join in the conversation)
Jason looked down at his hands. "I don`t like red in that way." He said quietly.
"Oh, I know that. But he did."
Jason didn`t say anything. He didn`t know what to say. He stared out into the Lake.
"Anyways....let's get away from all the morbid talk."
Jason tilted his head, looking at Lavy. "Then what should we talk about?"
"Tell me about yourself. Something no one else knows. It can be anything from your darkess secret to the name of your pet gold fish when you were seven."
Jason loked down at his hands. "I`m terrible with crafts." He looked up at Lavy, smiling.
She laughed, "Really? I would have never guessed that one. I took you for sort of a handy man. Someone who's really good at making and fixing things."
(( lol @ marquee XD hey lav:] long time no see, eh? I just switched houses to slytherin o: ))
Jack walked over to the lake and saw Lavender with some new guy he'd never seen before, with dashing-good looks. He seemed to be flirting with Lavy, which of course, made Jack jealous.
In the most-snottiest tone he could muster, Jack said, "Who're you, kid?? Hmm? And what exactly are you doin', flirtin' with my girl??"
((*Raises eyebrows and looks at Lavy* Do you know him?))
Jason smiled at Lavy`s saracasm, then turned to face the stranger as he approached. He stood and noticed that he was blushing a little. "Who said anything about flirting?" He asked in a dangerous tone.
((I joined a few years ago, and I was one of Lavy's loves, but then I grew inactive. And now I'm reactivating it ;] ))
"I said so, you knave. And you'd better back off, buddy, or I'll bite your eye." Jack grabbed out of his pocket a sharp metal spoon, perfect for scooping out eyeballs, and grinned maliciously.
Jason rolled his eyes and forced the guy back with a sheild of pure energy. He looked over to Lavy. "Do you want him to stay?"
Lavy wasn't even really paying attention until Jason asked her the question. She turned to see who he was talking about. Her face glowed when she saw who it was and she nearly tackled Jack, she was so happy to see him. Lucky he was strong enough now to hold her up (lol wanted to add that ;))
She jumped down after a moment, "Jack Chance! What are you doing here?" She didn't wait for an answer though. She turned to Jason.
"Jason his is Jack. He's an old friend, from back when I was a student here... well when I actually went to class." She looked down and took the spoon form Jack.
(HOW ARE YOU JACK!!!!! WHAT A TOTAL BLAST FROM THE PAST!!!!
Jason nodded and glared at Jack. He clenched his fists together tightly.
"Jason, Jack's just a little older then you. I'm sure he wouldn't mind taking you around someday and just showing you the place..." She looked at Jack, "Oh wait I guess I should really be asking you first."
She decided that she should use her best puppy dog eyes, just to butter him up a bit, "Would you please take Jason out soon-ish and just show him around town. I don't know what you men like to do in your spare time. Please, please please, with the sugar on top, Jacky."
[[strong enough...now??...blast from the past? meh...you're just never on when im on is all... T^T]]
"Bah, humbug, ma spoon..." grunted Jack, "as long as this twerp doesn't lick me or something icky...I guess I can show him around..." thinking about the 5th floor girl's toilets, "and in places too..."
Jason pursed his mouth into a tight line. He clenched his fists together to keep fire from exploding from his palms.
(lol well then we're going to have to fix that.)
Lavy pulled Jack by the wrist so that he had to bend over, slightly. She gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Jack's just kidding. And thank you. But be nice. I don't want to have to come find you later and hurt you for being mean to Jason." She let go.
"So back to what we were talking about, Jason..."
Jason turned his attention back to Lavy. "How horrible I am with crafts." He mumbled quietly.
Lavy couldn't help but smile at him. He was so adorable with the way he acted around Jack. Almost like when an Alpha comes back and the Beta starts to plot his murder.
"Ah, yes. And by the way Jack's still a little sour about Neo. Don't take it personal."
Jason just noddeed; he didn`t really know anyting about Neo except he had taken Stacey in a weak attepmt to get to Lavy. Besides that, he knew nothing.
Lavy sat down on the grass again. "I guess you know that he's not the best person in the world. After everything with Stacey I wouldn't really expect you to like him at all. But he was good once. And that's why I feel in love with him. He had a heart that wasn't completely consumed with revenge and spite."

(I was? oh geez I need to look at my past posts D:)
Still mumbling to himself, Jack plopped down on the grass next to Lavy, picking at a single blade that was sticking out.
(lol yeah we had an entire rp about it :P)
Lavy took Jack's hand and started tracing it with her fingers, "But so is life. You can't change he past. You just have to live with it as best you can."
