(Ok i don't know how well this will work but I just wanted to try it out:
So the one rule for this RP is you have to write in at least two characters, not everytime you rp but some of the time.....oh, and be careful to not make the whole rp about you and your extra character(s) :P ::) :))
Lavy was racing through the common room, her stomach rumbling angrily. It felt like she hadn't eaten in years. She could figure out what was wrong with her. She was always hungry since she had returned. She rolled her eyes as she pushed the door open and started down the hallway. She wasn't paying much attention to where she was doing but all of a sudden she hit something soft and hit the floor. She looked up, dazed and confused about what she could have ran into. Her mouth nearly fell open when she saw who was standing in front of her.
Aidan Langbook, stood there with his arms crosses across his wide chest. His log brown hair looked messy and windswept but his cloths were as neat as ever, A dark button down shirt and dark blue jeans. He had been under her command when she had worked with Neo, but now there relationship was stranded under the current circumstances.
"Hi there," his familiar voice echoed in the empty hallway.
"What are you doing here, Aidan?" She asked, finding her voice
"Neo sent me."
"To kill me."
"No, to try and convince you to come back."
"So he can kill me."
"No, Lavy. He wants to explain to you why he's been acting the way he has."
"There's nothing he can say to make up for what he did and tried to do to me."
They both turned at the sound of approaching footsteps.
((Hm, good practice. =) ))
Ginny and her four year old son stopped when they saw Lavy and the other guy. Ginny had no clue who he was, but quickly picked up Lavy's agitation. Gripping Cody's hand, the two of them stepped cautiously to Lavy's side.
"Everything ok here?" Ginny asked, a fake smile on her lips. Her eyes told the truth, they were dark with mistrust. She had told Lavy that Hogwarts was a safe place for her. It was beginning to look like this wasn't true.
Cody said nothing, simply tilted his head and looked at Aidan. His face showed nothing, his eyes were shadowed. He stood completely still, an unusual thing for such a young child.
"Yes, Aidan was just leaving." She stood up and turned away from him. He didn't seem to even notice Ginny or Cody. He reached out and grabbed her wrist pulling him back over to him.
"Lavy, please. Just hear him out. He's really sorry."
"I'm sure he is Aidan," She said sarcastically, "But that doesn't change a thing."
"Aidan, I'm going to have to ask you to not touch Lavy." Ginny took a small step forward, placing her hand on his forearm and gripping it so tightly that the muscles in his hand loosened, forcing him to let go of Lavy's wrist.
Ginny smiled, pleasantly, it seemed.
"She is a student of mine, and since this is a school, she isn't allowed to leave without my permission." Not exactly true. And even if it had been, Lavy would have done what she wanted anyway.
But Ginny had the strangest feeling that the younger girl wished to stay at Hogwarts.
Cody let go of his mother's hand, and took a step closer to Lavy. His face was still expressionless, but his little fists clenched.
"Signore, I suggest you leave Miss Lavy alone." The boy spoke in a soft voice, his eyes never leaving Aidan's face.
(very good practice.)
Lavy automatically reached out and touched Cody shoulder. She didn't like him being around Aidan. He was much more powerful then either of them realized and no matter how easily any one of them could beat him she still didn't want it to come to that. No matter what Neo had done she still cared for Aidan like a brother. And family protects family.
Which caused an intresting dilemma. One the one had she had her Hogwarts family here with her. But on the other she had the tight family that she had Neo had created. She couldn't tell which connection was stranger but she did know that she wanted to diffuse the situation.
"Aidan really was just leaving." She gave him the look she would give any one of her soldiers, even though technically he was no longer under her command. He automatically bowed sightly and left, eyes switching from her face to Ginny's.
Ginny turned to Lavy, sighing and folding her arms.
"If you don't want to stay here, I can find somewhere else for you to stay. My place, or my parents..." She paused, doubting that Lavy would agree, though she wished she would.
Cody slipped his hand into Lavy's, looking up to her.
"We have an extra room." he told her, a small smile etching on his lips, "And Dad wouldn't care too much."
He nodded, "And you could come here with me and Mom every day."
He didn't exactly get the feeling she'd say no. But then, he hadn't known Lavy very long.
Lavy was only half listening to them. She was still thinking about Aidan. Or rather what Aidan's being here meant. Whenever Aidan was around Neo wasn't far away. her breath quicken when she realized that Neo was probably in the building. Or just outside, maybe in the forest.
She looked up and down the hallway, making sure that Neo wasn't in reaching distance of her. Once she was sure that they were alone,"Umm....Ginny, you might want to get Cody out of here."
Ginny's face hardened, "I'm not too worried for my son. He knows what he's doing." Nonetheless, she nodded at Cody and he left Lavy's side to be by hers. He clasped her hand again, knowing that nothing could harm him as long as he was within arm's reach of her.
"As for you, I really do think you should come stay with us. Our house is impossible to find."
Ginny knew what Lavy felt, and agreed with her. Neo never liked to be far from the action.
"He can be very resourceful when he wants to be..." She paused again this time thinking about listening to Ginny for once. She was right. She couldn't stay at Hogwarts. Neo had clearly gooten his distaste for the place for just long enough to come close enough to find her. He knew she here now. He would probably be back at night to find her when everyone was sleeping.
While she was thinking about this the bell rang and all the doors around them flew open, flooding the corridor with students of every age. They were all talking about their problems. Homework, boyfriends, girlfriends... teenage stuff. Lavy would kill for those kinds of problems.
"Alright Ginny. Let me pack all my things. Where should I meet you?"
Ginny was surprised, to say the least, but she smiled all the same. Cody too grinned widely, he loved having guests, a rare thing for them.
"The front steps. I can take all three of us there."
Cody looked up at Lavy, "Can I come help you pack?" He asked, switching from the cold person he had been in front of Aidan to a sweet, adorable little boy.
"I would love that. Come on. We better do this fast. I'm seriously doubt that this is all over. The faster we get out of here the better."
Just as Lavy was turning to leave with Cody a girl stepped in front of her, "Lavy, right?"
She nodded, "Yes."
"Umm...some guy gave me twenty bucks to give this to you." The girl held out a folded note.
Lavy took it from her and opened it. It read:
Lavy,
I'm so sorry for everything I've put you through over the past month and a half. I really want a chance to explain what's been going on with me and why I've tried so many times to harm you. Please, forgive me. I didn't know what I was doing. If you still love me you'll come to the forest at midnight. I'll be there waiting. Aidan will be there was well, to keep us both in line.
With all the love I have in me,
Neo
P.S. Please, come alone. It will be hard enough to tell you with Aidan there, let alone another person
"Wait!" She called after the girl, who stopped and turned back towards her, "The man who gave this to you, what did he look like?"
"Tall, short brown hair, brown eyes, really sad expression on his face."
(sorry just a little addition)
Lavy's jaw tightened, "What was he wearing?"
The girl shrugged, "Jeans and a shirt. Oh, and a black cloak."
"When did he give this to you?"
"In the middle of the last class. I was going to the bathroom and he stopped me right when I was coming out."
"Neo." Lavy said simply. And rather darkly. Now he was talking to the other students. Innocent people who didn't know that he was perfectly capable of killing them if they rubbed him the wrong way.
Cody reached up, grabbing her hand, "Come on. Me and you can go pack, Mom can alert the rest of the faculty."
Ginny nodded, "He's right. Go now, I'll tell the teachers to lock down the school."
Lavy nodded, wondering if Neo was bold enough to still be there. She decided quickly that he was, but also that he was smart enough to leave. She started off in the direction of the Hufflepuff common room, Cody in step with her.
She didn't really notice all the students pussing past her to their next classes. She was freaking out too much. She had hoped that by coming here that her nightmare would be over. But She saw now that it was far from that. It might just be starting. And now she had dragged others into it as well.
By the time the two of them had reached her room, she was fuming. At Aidan for showing, at Neo for sending him, but mostly at herself, for being stupid enough to underestimate Neo.
((Can I join?))
(Yeah anyone can join)
((ok, thanks))
Jason was rushing through the corridors, trying to find someone he knew, one of the only people he knew. Lavy. He rushed past the corridor that Lavy was in. He ran past it then, seeing something familiar, went back to it. "Lavy!" He called, running up to her. "Something`s not right. Someone`s here, and they took Stacy." Normally Jason wouldn`t care about anyone. But Stacey was the first person he met, and she showed him kindness. Plus she was dating a Death Eater, so she couldn`t be that bad.
Lavy turned around and looked at Jason. He looked positivly distrught. And the fear that she had smothered for the past few wees began to boil inside of her body. There was only one person who would take Stacey.
She should have known. Neo had been following her. Or someone sent by him. There was no way that he would risk coming into the school and be caught without pervios information. She sighed, complet frustation taking over. She knelt down infront of Cody.
"Cody, sweetheart, we have a problem here. Do you think you can go find you mother for me?"
Jason ran his hands through his sweaty hair as he paced back and forth. Stacey had been kind of like a sister to him, he didn`t want anything to happen to her. And she also had tons of friends, it would have been hard for someone to take her.
Cody frowned, "I don't even have to leave." He told her firmly, his fists clenching. Almost instantly, Ginny was beside the two of them, her face blank.
Only her eyes showed expression, a slightly pulsating anger. She nodded at Lavy, "I guess we aren't just going to leave that easily." She looked sad, "I would suggest you and Cody going home and I going to get Stacey. But I know you all too well, Lavy." She shook her head, and then looked at Cody.
But before she could open her mouth,m he was shaking his head no.
"No way, Mom. I'm coming too. For no other reason than you haven't been sleeping again. You could use my energy, but we both know only if I'm beside you."
Ginny frowned, but nodded before looking back at Lavy.
"I suppose we should go." She glanced at Jason, "Do you know where they went?" She asked him.
Jason looked at the person with red hair. "Um, they went in the forest." He said, glancing at Lavy as he spoke. "They could have moved her, but that`s where they where headed." He added.
Lavy shook her head, "I think I know where he took her." One minute they were standing in the middle of the common room and in the next they were in complet darkness.
The sound of water dripping echoed in the blackness and their noses were hit wih the smell of dampness and rot. Lavy whispered something to low for them to hear but soon the lights on the walls around them began to burn dimmly. They were in a long wide stone hallway. Behind them was still pitch black dark but the lights showed the way to the main room.
"Ginny you might remember this place," Lavy said softly enogh so that her voice didn't travle far, "This is Neo's cave."
"Of course. I'm not one to forget such places." Ginny said, her voice almost casual. She kept a hand on her son's shoulder, which was tense beneath her fingers. She knew his tenseness was not from the events of the past half hour, but of his physical condition.
The child stood perfectly still, a feat only accomplished by masters of martial arts. Though he was far from being a master, he knew the perfect way to hold himself. He rolled his shoulders, not to throw away his mother's hand but to loosen up his shoulders. He looked over the Lavy, a smile etching upon his lips.
"He should fear you." He said softly, "You are in his head, without ever using psychic powers."
Lavy took comfort in his words. She did know him well. Better then anyone else on the planet. She still had that going for her if nothing else.
"Be careful. He's not here alone. And when I say alone I mean he probably has most of this best fighters here. He knows me well enough to know that I won't be taken without a fight. And I will give them hell, even if they win in the end."
She motioned forward and started down the hallway, very slowly. She listened for any changes. A different smell or taste of the air. Or a sound.
Ginny smiled, squeezing Cody's shoulder. He nodded, "Yes Momma." He said softly.
Ginny looked over to Lavy, "Neo should know better than to mess with me." She spoke with regret, "I helped train you both over the years...I am not one to be out done by my own students."
SHe shook her shock of red hair, "Between us, he hasn't a chance." She scoffed, "Besides, I doubt he'd be here himself. He always prided himself above all others."
"Please don't go after him Ginny. No matter what happens when we get there. He' might not look it but he's fragile. I can't explain it to you now, because frankly I don't fully understand it, but somethings off. Neo doesn't go around kidnapping people. He doesn't go after people he cares about. I know him well enough to know that."
The lights suddenly went out around them. Minutes passes in silence. Well not complet silence. Lavy could hear movement around them. When they came back on they were surrounded on both sides. Aidan was standing in front of them. He only thing different was his thick black cloak.
"Lavy..."
"Where is he?"
"He's in his old office."
"Where is she?"
Aidan sighed, "You'll have to ask him, Lavy."
"Then it would make sense for him to show his face, wouldn't it?" Cody smiled as he spoke, real amusement playing in his blue eyes.
"Or he is fearful?"
Ginny squeezed Cody's shoulder, her way of telling him to be silent. Even though he spoke her mind. It was hard to keep from smiling. And although Lavy was right, there was something wrong with Neo, Ginny was not fearful of him. He had been strong, but Ginny was stronger.
She'd taken care of people stronger than him.
She frowned at Aiden, "It would be in your groups best interest to find out where the girl is being kept. No one likes kidnappers."
Aidan watched Cody for a moment before he spoke, "He wants to see you alone, Lavy. He wants to do this with as little casualties as possible." His eyes switched from Jason back to Cody, "He wants you to come back to him."
"I now what you're thinking Aidan. Don't. Cody is off limits. If you touch him I swear to God..."
"No harm, Lavy. No one will hurt him. You have my word. But I can't say the same for Ginny." He looked at her next.
Lavy snorted, "Go ahead. But when she blows off your arm don't come crying to me. She's strong enough to take Neo and me at the same time. And I doubt she would lose that battle."
Aidan nodded, "Five minutes. And you can have the girl."
"Is that your word or his?"
"Both of our words."
Lavy nodded and pulled Ginny, Cody and Jason close to her so that they stood in a circle, huddled together, "What do you think?"
Jason had been silent until now. "I... I can`t tell if he`s lying. And I don`t know the other man- Neo- well enough to trust his word. But we need Stacey." He answered with concern. His eyes flickered on Aidan. "Can we trust him?"
Ginny kept one hand on Cody's shoulder, a thoughtful expression on her face.
"Lavy, do you still have that water orb I gave you?" She raised her eyebrows. If Lavy still possessed the orb, then this would work out well. Though, it had been a long time ago.
She didn't trust Neo, and as for Aiden, she'd have loved to fight the boy. But now was not thew time nor the place. Cody hadn't looked away from Aiden since he spoke of his mother. Cody's pale ice eyes turned dark, a deep throbbing anger hidden beneath them.
(grrr, guess i'm going to have to write Neo's part in, lol. o well)
Lavy smiled at the irony, "No, Neo has it, as a matter of fact. Well it's under his care right now. I left in such a hurry I didn't have time to grab many things."
"Lavy," Aidan's voice interrupted their conversation, "You know he's not very patient when he wants something."
Lavy turned to him, "Do you see me doing something. Neo can wait. And not, when he should just come down here himself. But I doubt he'll do that. So you need to stop being a complet ass and leave me alone for a moment."
Aidan stood there silent, embarrassed by the tongue lashing he had just received.
"Now, back to what we were saying...." Lavy went back to the circle.
Ginny nodded, reaching beneath her robes and pulling out a small water orb. She slipped it into Lavy's hand, "You know how it works. If you need help, smash it off the ground."
She winked, "Go ahead, Lavy. Let Aiden and the rest stay here. You and Neo can talk for five minutes. Five minutes end, and I'm coming for you." She reached out, tapping Lavy's forehead. Unknown to anyone, at that exact moment, Ginny's mind connected to Lavy's. The connection would allow Ginny to track Lavy if needed, and vice versa. Only one of them could sever the connection, and she doubt they would.
Cody nodded at Lavy, "Just remember that we are not too far away."
She nodded and gave Ginny a quick hug and reached down and rubbed her hand through Cody's hair so that it stood up, "I'll bring her back," She whispered to Jason.
She pushed past Aidan who was watching her with a strange look in his eyes. She couldn't place his emotions, but she didn't have time to try. Ginny would start counting soon. She ran all the way down the hallway into the main part of the cave. It was a huge as she remembered it. Her foot steps echoed everwhere around her. She had almost forgotten how homely the cave actually was. Although they had moved out of it, it still felt like it was being lived in. She ran across the huge opening into another hallway and all the way to the huge, black steal door that was also very familiar. But instead of the usual feeling of home she got when she saw it she only saw pain and suffering. She pushed the door open and stepped in.
Jason watched Lavy leave and he slid to the floor. He covered his face with his hands and sighed. If anything happened to either of them.....
Neo was sitting in the chair behind his desk. His feet were up on the desk. He wasn't looking at the door or her at first. He was looking at the empty shelves that once held an enormous collection of books. It had been months now, though since they had moved out of the cave and the bare walls were almost scary.
Lavy stood there watching him closely. He didn't look very different since last she saw him. Maybe a little bit thinner but other then that he looked the same. Same long black hair that she had once loved to run her fingers through. Same muscles that she had once caressed. Same everything.
"Close the door Lavy."
She did so, figuring that if he wanted to try something, the door being open wouldn't make a difference.
"How have you been, love?"
"Tired."
"I'm sorry."
"No you're not."
"But I am Lavy."
"Prove it."
"How?"
"Give us Stacey back, and then I'll know that there's still hope for you."
Neo smiled, "I can't do that Lavy."
Jason sighed and stood up, his face was red. "I`m sorry, I don`t think we`ve met before." He said, looking at Cody and Ginny. "I`m Jason." He said politely, holding his hand out.
"And why not?"
"You need to understand everything before I can rellease my one bargaining chip."
"She's not a bargaining chip, Neo. She's a girl. And I'm sure she's scared to death right now."
"She's safe."
"With you that's not likely."
Neo slammed his foot down and stood up. Lavy held her ground as he walked around the desk over to her and grabbed her around her waist. She didn't move a muscle when he pulled her in and pressed his lips against hers trying to get her to kiss him back. After a while thought he let go, seeing that it wasn't working, "Dammit, Lavy...."
"Where is she?"
"Cell seven." He sighed letting her go. He turned away from her, "Just take her and go."
"Nothing else? Is that what you dragged me down here for?"
"Lavy just go, before I get angry."
She scoffed but turned and was about to leave when a glass vase flew past her head and crashed into the door in front of her. She wheeled around looking at Neo but he wasn't looking at her. In fact, he wasn't looking at anything. His eyes were shut and his whole body was shaking.
"Neo?"
"I told you to leave..." He said.
"And I...." Lavy stopped, relizing that this wasn't the Neo from five minutes before. This was the one that she actually feared because he was campible of anything. She reached into her pocket, searching for the orb Ginny had givven her but it was missing.
"Did you really think it was going to be that easy, Lavy?" He asked. He held up to orb.
She didn't move, "I hoped so."
He smiled, but it was different from before, this one was evil, "Lavy, you aleays do this. You never cover all your bases. I told you that one day someone was going to take advantage of that."
Cody gave Jason a strange look, but Ginny nodded, offering a small smile.
"I'm Ginny Weasly." She told him, but without moving to shake his hand. Her one free hand was loosely at her side, and her other hand was still on Cody's shoulder. She was drawing on his energy.
She needed it.
She glanced at her watch, feeling uneasy. It had only been three minutes, but something felt wrong. She looked up at Aidan with a smile, shaking her head slowly.
"I wonder when Neo changed his priorities. His one goal used to simply be taking down the Ministry." She smirked at Aidan, but she wasn't really talking to him. Beside her, her small son answered.
"He might have realized he will never control the Ministry the way he controls Miss Lavy." The child flashed a toothy grin Aidan's way. He knew what his mother was doing. She was antagonizing the enemy.
Jason let his hand fall to his side and he ruturned to sitting on the floor.
Aidan shook his head, "If anything it's the other way around. He would do anything for her. She controls his moods. If she's unhappy he's unhappy. He simply stepped back for a moment to reevaluate what our options are. I would think you of all people would be glad to see the Ministry gone, Ginny."
"I just never thought it would be you."
"You underestimate me, Lavy."
"No I don't. I know what' you're capable of."
"And yet you're here, unprotected."
"Now you're underestimating me and my ability to protect myself." Lavy was backing up towards the door very slowly and Neo was taking a step for everyone of hers.
He smiled again, "Come here, Lavy." he held out his hand.
"Not a chance."
"I'm giving you a chance to come back willingly. This is a one time offer. After that I'll bring you back myself."
her back was up against the door now and her hands found the knob. It turned but the door still wouldn't move out of it's frame, "I'm not too worried. You have a little more then a minute before Ginny comes."
"That's all I need..." The door knob stopped turning under her hand and a loud click echoed in the room.
"You really thing that will keep her out?"
He was in reaching distance of her but she had no escape. On one side there was a wall and on the other was a low bookself, "No, but she still has her son to worry about."
Lavy suddenly remembed little Cody. He had to be with Ginny. Which meant if Ginny came in the room Cody would to
Ginny smiled toothily, "Just because I hate the Ministry doesn't mean I think Neo should be in charge." She winked at the boy, grinning widely.
"His ideals are so far off, he doesn't even realize it."
Cody stood beside her, his eyes never leaving Aidan. He was prepared for anything, knowing full well that if something happened, he might have to help. The fact that his mom had agreed to have him here made him feel proud. She trusted him. Trusted his control. She knew he knew what to do.
If...when they went to retrieve Lavy, all he had to do was lend her some of his power and help hold up a force field. This wasn't a fight. This was a protection.
Ginny looked down at her watch and smiled, "Half a minute left, Aidan dear. And when my watch beeps, we are going after her." Her smile was eerie, "Even if you don't want us to."
Most of the people around them shifted, moving closer to them, Aidan held up his hand, calming them down, "There's no need for that Ginny. Lavy knows how to come out of tough situations."
"What do you want then?" Lavy asked.
"You know what I want. Don't pretend like you don't."
"I'm not coming back. That ship has sailed."
Neo reached out and garbbed her by her neck and pushed her up against the door, "Well now we have a problem Lavy."
She didn't answer, focusing on keeping her breathing steady. He wasn't strangling her but he wasn't holding her gently.
"Please, Neo. You have to listen to me. You have to let me leave now. If Ginny comes in here you won't stand a chance. You know you won't."
"I know you asked her to leave me be."
"But that doesn't mean she will. She protects her friends and family before anyone. She won't hesitate to hurt you."
"Then we'll have to leave here won't we?" He pressed his body against hers.
"She'll find us."
"We'll see about that..."
Aidan looked up and around, looking confused for a moment and then shocked, "They're gone." he whispered.
"What?" someone asked behind him.
"Their energy...it's disappeared. They went somewhere different," He looked at Ginny, "I think he took her."
Jason looked up and stood. A scream echoed through the hall. He looked at Ginny, hoping she would know what to do.
"Aw, f.uc.k." Ginny swore quickly, almost comically as she held up her free hand. She put her palm towards Neo's soldiers, sending a thin beam of pure energy right into them, overloading their bodies. All except Aidan. She let go of Cody's shoulder, stepping out over the collapsed soldiers and grasping the front of Aidan's shirt.
"Here's the thing, little boy. You are going to take us to wherever he keeps prisoners. The four of us," She motioned to herself, him, Cody, and Jason, "are going to get Stacey out." She nodded, her smiled tight, her eyes sharp.
She had become even scarier since she'd had Cody. Her look was coupled not only with the danger that had always been there, but also with the maternal anger that all mother's possess. The anger that makes you feel bad even when you don't want to.
"And then, Aidan, you and I are going to get Lavy and Neo."
Cody scowled, but said nothing. He simply folded his arms, his blue eyes upon Aidan with disgust.
"If you cared about her so much, you wouldn't have led her back into his path." He said suddenly, unable to keep his anger down.
"If you cared about Miss Lavy, you would have protected her, you idiot!"
"The first part should be easy..." Aidan stammered out. still a little shaken about what was happinging to the soldiers, "But Ginny. It could take hours to find them. And although, if he had the mind to, there's no telling what he could do in those hours."
He decided to ignore Cody's comment for the moment. He had done what he was told to do. And, although right now it didn't feel that way, at the time he thought he was doing what was best for all of them. The entire atmosphere calmed down when she was around. She was the one who could keep her cool the longest of everyone.
Ginny frowned, "Did I ask for you to argue with me?" She shook her head, "No, I didn't. How we will find them is my business, and you will follow along. Understand?" The pretty red head shook him for emphasis, nodding grimly.
She whipped him around by his shirtfront, and pushed him from the back.
"Start walking."
Aidan staggered forward but regained his footing quickly. He started down the hallway towards the dungeons, "But, and this is only a question," He said, making sure she knew that he wasn't trying to argue with her, "How do you intend to find him? If he's in the state of mind I think he is, they're probably half way 'round the world by now."
Jason jumped up and followed Aidan quickly. He looked at Ginny with questioning in his eyes, how would she find them?
It only took them a few minutes to make it to the lower level of the cave and to the holding cells, "I think she's here." Aidan whispered and started down the hallway. He paused at each door, waiting for some unknown signal that she was in the cell. When he didn't get it he continued on.
This went on six time's until the seventh one. Aidan paused, listened and then smiled, having found her. He reached forward and tapped the handle with his finger. There was a loud click and the sound of metal sliding against metal deafened them for a moment. Aidan pulled the door free of the frame and it opened, very slowly to revile what was inside.
It wasn't the ugliest prison in the world. But it was uncomfortable. It was dark, with only a small amount of light coming from a naked bulb swinging above them. And the smell of dampness was even thicker here, almost overwhelming. A long silver table was in the center of the room. It had heavy looking restrants on it, on either side.
Aidan looked around, letting his eyes adjust and saw a little figure in one of the corners, crouched over in a fetile position. She wasn't moving much, but he couldn't tell if she was scared, since her back was facing them.
Stacey flipped around. "GET THIS STUPID THING OFF ME!!!" She yelled. She was clawing at a silver band around her wrist, her eyes where a deadly red. She saw Ginny, Cody, and Jason. "Sorry, but as long as this friggin` thing is on me, I can`t use my powers." She glared at Aidan. "Get it off." She said through clenched teeth.
Aidan glided forward and bent down. He began to twist the band and it started to come off "This is one of the most powerful things on the earth, I suspect," He explained, mostly to Ginny but to the others as well, "It could stop most from using even the most simplest of spells," He pulled it completely off and placed it in his pocket. He reached down and pulled Stacey to her feet, "It can slow Lavy down if it's on full blast. Enough to give Neo the upper hand at least. He always carries one, just in case he runs into an unpleasant wizard. But he could very well use it on her..."
Aidan turned around and punched the stone wall, "I should have seen this. God dam*it!!I told her I would protect her from anyone. I just never thought I would have to protect her from the person she cares about the most."
"A few months back, Neo came back from a meeting with Russia. He seemed a little off even then. He would suddenly fly into these mood swings. Within two weeks the only person who could calm him down was Lavy and even she was having difficulties doing that. She left one night, just to have a little break and Neo flew off the handle. He wanted to know where she was and no one could tell him because she hadn't told anyone herself. By the time she got back....he had completely lost it.
"He's not the jealous or controlling type. He really isn't. But ever since that meeting he's been trying to control everyone, including her. Especially her. At first she would do it to make him happyhim but it wore her out. She a free spirit and he was trying to crush it.
"That's why she left. Just to give herself some time to reorganize her thoughts. And she would have come back I know. But Neo couldn't wait anymore. He went after her and that's why she went back to Hogwarts."
Aidan paused, recollecting himself, "She's like a baby sister to me, Ginny. We have to find her. I can't fail her now. Neo is more dangerous then anyone else from her past. Not just magic wise. She doesn't want to hurt him. She won't fight back as hard as she normally would."
Ginny processed all he said, but only blinked. She gave a sudden sorrowful look, "I almost wish you'd left that on Stacey." She winked at the girl, "At least it would keep her line."
She turned, stretching her arms up high. The she reached down and began pulling off her teacher's robes. Beneath them she wore jeans and a black t-shirt. She pulled her hair up, away from her neck and into a pony tail. Cody folded his arms as she did this, knowing full well what she wanted.
"No." He said, staring hard at his mother.
Ginny sighed, "Cody, you, Stacey, and Jason are going back to the school."
"No." he said, stomping his foot. He looked to Aidan, "You care about Lavy, right? Tell her she's not allowed to go without me!"
Ginny scowled, but said nothing else as she turned to Aidan.
"I taught Lavy. I taught her extremely well. Which means I made a special bond with her, and unbreakable bond. I connected to that bond, making the connection unbreakable. She and I are linked, which means I can track her." She smiled as she answered his question from before.
"Don't worry, Aidan. Neo is no match for me, and Lavy can hold her own until we get there."
He nodded, believing her, "When we get there, get Lavy out of there. Leave Neo to me."
Lavy and Neo appeared in a room. It was huge. There was a bed behind then and off to the side there was a closet. The sound of the ocean could be heard out of the window.
Neo let go of her and she stumbled forward.
"Come on Lavy. Why can't you just do what I ask?"
"Neo just because you want something doesn't mean you're going to get it. I now what you want. There's no way I'm going anywhere near that bed." She ran over to the window and looked out. It had to be at least a hundred foot drop down to the ground. She could hear Neo moving around behind her but she was thinking her way through her escape.
Before she knew it he had grabbed her wrist and then something cold as on it. She looked down at it. It was silver, very thin and cold. It sent a shiver down her spine, followed by a weird drowsy feeling coming over her body. She fell foward and Neo caught her.
"What is this?" She breathed.
"Just something that I made while you were gone."
((Let's wait for Stacey to reply))
(K sounds good)
((thanks for waiting, a lot of people wouldn`t have))
Stacey looked at Ginny, and at the same time testing her powers by making streams of fire around her other arm. "There`s no way I`m going back to school now. I`m mad as he*l. Neo did not treat me nearly as bad as he treated Lavy, but it was bad enough." She said, her eys still glaring red.
Ginny's mouth twitched upwards, but she forced the smile away. These kids were all so brave, so noble. It made he smile. It made her proud. However, she shook he head, "It's not your place to fight Neo, Stacey. Nor is it Aidan's. Or mine. It's Lavy's."
She sighed, putting her hands on her hips. "The only reason we are interfering is because Lavy isn't prepared to fight him. Otherwise, it would be totally upon her to fight him. This is simply a grab Lavy and leave mission."
She ran a hand through er hair, looking directly at her small son, "Which means only two people need to go."
"I'm not going anywhere without you Mom." Cody said, his voice as hard as her's could be. "You haven't slept in two days, your power is low. Without me, you'll collapse." He nodded at Stacey and Jason, "You are always saying you want your students to have hands-on experience!"
Lavy twisted her body in his arms so that her back was against his chest, "What is this?" She repeated.
"I little device that can drain you're magic. It's very powerful this on is. If you we're so strong already it could kill you. But as it is, you are powerful enough, So it will only make you tired.
Neo started pulling her across the room to the bed, "Lavy, you know I won't force you right?" His voice was softer then before.
"What do you call what you're doing now?"
"Just trying to persuade you in every way I know how."
"And if I still refuse?"
"We'll get to that later." He lifted her up and placed her on the bed.
"How long do you intend to keep me here?"
"As long as it takes."
She detected a second meaning in his words, "As long as what takes?"
"For you to finally decide to listen to me."
"All the time." She finished his statement for him, "We're not living in 18th century anymore Neo. Just because you're a man doesn't mean you know what's best for me."
"Your right. It's not cause I'm a man. It's because I do know what's best for you."
She slapped his hand away as he tried to unzip her jacket, "Come on, Lavy. I'm just trying to make you more comfortable."
Another wave a drowsiness, overtook her and her hand dropped to her side, "Don't...."
"I won't do anything I promise. When you wake up we'll talk." Neo gave her a kiss on the forhead as her eyes shut.
Aidan shook his head, "This is far to dangerous for the three of you. Even with Lavy there he still will only be slightly distracted when we show up. It best to give him few targets. Because that is all you'll be. Someone else for him to harm."
"Exactly. I know it`s not my place, but I at least want to be there, to be able to help." Stacey said, looking at Cody. "We want to fight, we`re not small children. We need the experiance." Stacey added, remembering her persuasive testing from her muggle father. "We can help." She turned her glaring eyes on Aidan. "And you aren`t in the right place to argue with me. You are the one who actually captured me."
"I'm in the perfect spot to argue actually. I know Neo. I know the way he works, the way he thinks. If he feels cornered, he'll to something rash. Then we'll all end up dead. This is not time for a lesson Stacey. This is where you get off the train and let the adults take control of the gears."
"That`s not what I meant." She said, her eyes darkening. "Yes, I am young. Yes, I am slightly inexperienced. Yes, I have a bad temper, but that`s what drives me. I am capable of far more than you know or see. You do know Neo. I know that he is capable of hurting someone he doesn`t even know to get one little thing. I have not seen anything special in you." She stopped here before she said something that would get her in deep trouble.
Aidan smiled, "You clearly don't know him as well as you think. Neo doesn't bring people in who are not already some of the most powerful wizards and witches on the planet. Ture, none but Lavy can match him but that does not mean that the rest of us are weak. I would have no troble killing you were you stand. Do not trick yourself into thinking that you can better anyone in the room.
"You know nothing of power. You have not stared it in the eye. You prove that to me by standing here and agruging with me while Neo has Lavy off in some god forsaken place. Anyone who knows their powers knows their limits. This is where the road has stopped for you Stacey. Accept it."
Aidan walked past them and out the door, "I'm going to his office to grab something, Ginny." He called after himself, "When I come back we can leave."
(We should wait for her)
((and so we shall, I won`t post anything after this until she comes back))
Stacey continued to glare at Aidan, but silently. He misunderstood her, just like everybody else.
"Cody is a small child." Ginny pointed out, raising her eyebrows. She had to hide her smile as her little boy clenched his fists. He took a step forward, looking at his mom with a steady gaze.
"Look at you, Mom." He said, his voice harsh, "You are having trouble standing there, trouble staying awake. If you make me let you go alone, Dad will kill you."
Ginny snorted, "Cody, I love your father, but he doesn't control me. Nor do you. Now, enough of this arguing, all of you. You are going back to the school. When we bring Lavy back, then it will be up to you to make sure we aren't being followed."
She folded her arms, looking at Stacey and Jason.
"The two of you need to take care of my son."
Stacey looked down at Cody. She completely diagreed with Ginny. "Ginny, you`re son is right." Stacey said. "I`m not trying to argue here, but you need his help. And ours." She added quietly.
Aidan came back into the room, straightening out his shirt, "Whenever you're ready Ginny."
Lavy opened her eyes again, not wanting to leave herself that vulnerable to him, "Take me home."
"You are home," He insisted.
"I shouldn't be scared to go home me."
"Why are you scared of me Lavy? You have nothing to fear."
She tried t sit up bu her arm muscles gave up mid way through the action, "Please, take it off."
"Do you promise to be good?"
"No."
"Then my answer is no."
She grabbed his arm as he was about to turn and leave, "She'll find you."
"And when she does I'll be ready. Ginny has been the strongest for far too long. It's time for someone else to take the title."
"Neo-"
"And once she's out of the picture..." He didn't finish but Lavy could guess the end of that sentence.
"Enough!" Ginny held up her hand, anger finally showing through.
"This isn't some game! This isn't a class. This isn't fun. All three of you are going back to the school, and you can hate me all you want for it. But at least we'll know Lavy is alright." Her eyes grew dark as Cody opened his mouth to retort.
"Not one more word from any of you. Stacey and Jason, you are now in charge of the being that is dearest to me. Get Cody back to the school and then listen to him. The three of you need to inform the nurse that we're bringing Lavy, and then you need to secure the school. That means you have to go to the headmaster and tell him what's going on. You need to make sure the whole school is on lock down, and then I want you to meet us in the front hall."
She scowled, looking scary and angry, "When the person in danger isn't in such danger, then you guys can go along. But you've no clue what Neo is planning, and you've no clue what he is capable of. No one is going to get hurt. All the three of you would do is sit there and watch. So no. No, no, no, no, NO!"
She turned to Aidan, "Come here." She ordered him.
"Don't!"
"And who's going to stop me?"
She didn't answer him at first, "I will."
"Yes? You're is going to stop me?" Neo came back to the bed and pulled her to her feet. All the gentleness from before was again gone, "Not a chance Lavy. So you might as well erase those thoughts from your head. You will do what you're told eventually."
"And I suspect you're the one to do it, eh?"
"You won't be leaving me again Lavy. I have to kill a thousand people to find you I will. But I know you wouldn't let me do that."
"What makes you so sure?"
"I know you. You wouldn't want that sitting on your conscience. All those deaths." He ran his fingers through her hair.
Lavy pushed him away from her and slapped his across the face.
Neo was stunned into silence for a moment, shocked that she would hit him, "You shouldn't have done that, Lavy..."
Aidan was at her side the second after she told him to come closer.
Stacey looked at Ginny, she knew she wasn`t going to win this. "Fine." She said grimly. At least she got to do something.
Ginny frowned at Cody, "Do as I say, Xerxes." She told him, grabbing Aidan's wrist and vanishing the both of them. Within seconds, they appeared in the same room as Lavy and Neo. No time was wasted as Ginny let go of Aidan, "Alright Neo. That's enough." She said softly, walking over to the two of them.
She looked so much older all of a sudden, tired and run down. But still amazingly, power rolled off her in almost visible waves.
Cody turned to Stacey and Jason, "Can either of you guys apperate us into the forest?"
Her eyes went straight to Ginny however Neo barely acknowledged her presence, "Lavy look at me when I'm talking to you."
She did for only a moment. Long enough to realize he was on the edge again. She felt another wave of tiredness and this time, since she was paying attention she felt the slight change in his energy. He was controlling the silver bracelet with his thoughts. She nearly fell over again but forced her legs to remain straight.
"It's over, Neo," She said through gritted teeth.
"You clearly don't know me very well." He turned towards Ginny.
Jason looked at Cody. "I can." He said.
"Wait." Stacey snapped. She picked up the silver band that had been on her wrist. "WE may need this, it would also be good to have in case someone else tries to use it on us." She said, before either of them could asked why.
Jason put his hand on Cody`s shoulder and grabbed Stacey`s wrist. Instantly, they where on the edge of Hogsmead. "Cody, we were told to listen to you." He said.
"Neo, enough." Ginny swiped a hand down her face, looking the part of a harassed teacher.
She shook her head, "It's time to stop acting like a child."
Cody nodded, "That's because my mom taught me well." He muttered. He nodded towards the school, "Let's go. The Headmaster needs to order a lock down of the school."
"Child?" He asked, clearly offended, "You're one to talk Ginny. Don't try and fault with me when you have an entire country full of your own. And problems as well. You should just run off and leave us alone. She doesn't want you here. Either of you." His eyes locked on Aidan's.
Ginny smirked, close to laughing.
"If she hadn't wanted me here, she would have severed the mental tie, you egotistical idiot."
Now she did laugh, "A mental tie that only she can sever. And only when she truly wants to, so you couldn't have even forced her. One of my better ideas, if I must say so."
Ginny smiled, then reached out, placing her palm flat on Neo's chest. He had time only to look at her, her angry eyes, before he was blasted backwards with pure energy. It was controlled, for had it been to hard, the beam would have gone right through him, ripping him apart. Instead, it was like getting punched in the lungs by a Troll. A very big, very strong, very angry, Troll.
"That had to be my best idea, though." She said, no longer smiling. She reached over, grabbing Lavy's arm almost forcefully and held it up.
"Either you take this off, or I break her wrist in order to take it off." Her eyes sparked, fire almost visible in them.
Stacey looked down at Cody as she rushed towards the castle. "Yes, she did, and don`t let anyone tell you different." When they reached the school she stopped at the stairway. "Do you know the password, Cody?"
Lavy tried to pull her wrist out of Ginny grip with little success.
Neo stood up, almost completely unphased. He hadn't expected that much force but he had anticipated an attack on her part, "Not a chance. Rip it off for all I care."
"Come on," Aidan said, coming up from behind the two woman, "We'll get off once we're out of here."
"You could. But while you're trying to figure it out I'll still be in control. And Aidan. That little bracelet there does things you can't even imagine. So go take you're chances.
Aidan pulled her into a hug, "You wouldn't..."
"Wouldn't I?"
"Aidan," Lavy whispered so that Neo couldn't hear her.
He looked down at her and nodded, telling her to continue.
"Let me stay."
"What!"
"Just till I can talk some sense into him." She was still whispering.
"You're acting like a f_ucking idiot." Ginny snapped, smacking the back of Lavy's head. She wasn't gentle with her words or actions.
"He beats you up, kidnaps you, tries to force you to do things, and you want to stay and talk some sense into him?" She kept one hand on Lavy's wrist, shaking her head. "A broken wrist by me is a lot less compared to what he wants, kiddo."
Ginny frowned, her eyes showing the most emotion of all. This was something Lavy hadn't seen a lot of when she'd been a student under Ginny. Ginny had learned to keep all but anger from showing, and now, she let her sadness show.
"I wouldn't let a sister stay with him, and I'm not going to let you."
"No." Cody said, simply, before he took a few steps backwards. He measured the door out, and then raised his hands. He needed both hands for the same energy blast his mother had just used, but then he was trying to blast it apart. He concentrated, sending one short burst of pure dark blue energy. It smashed into the door, blasting the wood apart.
"My special form of knocking." The four year old muttered as he climbed through what had once been a door.
"I know it sounds crazy to you. It sounds crazy to me too. But I know I can reach him I want my Neo back. Not this person who's replaced him. I know this sounds more insane but I think the angrier he gets the closer he is to coming back. I just need to find his edge and push him over it."
"Lavy, as required of any teacher, I've taken over a dozen psychology courses. You know what this is?" She narrowed her eyes, "It the battered wife syndrome. No, you and him aren't married, but the same d**n thing. You can talk to him later when he stops kidnapping you and stops trying to control you. Until then, you are with me. No more of this stupid bullnuts. I'm too f_ucking old for it!"
She jerked Lavy's wrist, "I see the logic behind your words. I really do. But you are not going to do this right now, and I don't really care how much you want to." She scowled, "If Neo can straighten himself out in a few days, enough to meet in public, then you two can talk. Until that time, there is no being left alone with him. No more of this kidnapping s.hit, and absolutely no more trying to control you!"
Neo sat down and crossed his arms. He had a smug look on his face. He seemed very content with the situation, even though he could hear what they were saying.
"For me to be a battered wife I have to be submissive to him," Lavy said, jerking her arm back to her own body, "The point is to appear to look like I'm giving in. Look at him. He's just sitting there when a moment ago he was ready to kill you. I've made progress already. If you take me away now everything I've been trying to do will become null. I know you two want me safe but my safety should be the least of you're concerns.
"If he losses it without someone around then we're going to have more then we bargained for. At least if I'm there I can fight him long enough till he hits bottom. And after that it will all go back to the way it was before."
Ginny snorted, "That's progress? He's laughing at us because we are arguing! Lavy, I don't care really what you think right now. What I am keeping in mind is how scared you have been of him. How you jumped at every sound. When he stops being so abusive, then you can talk or whatever." Ginny scowled, "The least you can do is compromise with me. After everything I've ever done for you, all those times I saved you, you are going to just hand yourself over to someone who tried to kill you?"
She clenched one fist, her eyes dark and angry. Expressions flew across her face, each one looking more angry than the first.
"You realize, you dragged me away from my son in order to help you? Do you even care? For you, I allowed my son to step close to him." She jerked her head towards Neo, "I don't like pulling my baby into these messes. I consider you a little sister, Lavy. Even now, even though I'd love nothing more than to bust your face, I think of you as a sister."
She took a deep breath, "So here's the f.ucking compromise. You come with me for the night, he takes that stupid bracelet off you, and tomorrow the two of you meet in Hogsmead. No one else will be there, and as long as he doesn't try to kidnap you again, I'll agree to you being completely alone. Away from my eyes and ears." Meaning the students and residents who reported to her almost daily.
She looked at Neo and held out her arm, "Take it off."
"No."
"Neo-"
"You can leave. I won't stop you. But that is my way of knowing that you haven't fallen off the map."
"Do you really think this is all just a way to run away from you?"
"Why should I think anything other then that? That's what you doing for the past few months now."
"If I was trying to get away from you I would have let Ginny and Aidan taken me ten minutes ago."
He nodded, seeing the logic in her words, "You're a good lier thought, Lavy. How do I know you're not just playing me."
"You don't."
He smiled at her frankness. Neo stood and walked over to the three of them. He grabbed he and pulled her out of Aidan's arms to his own. His hand barely touched the bracelet and it came off. He twisted it around his finger for a moment before letting her go, "I hope you're not lying t me. I was just starting to get in a good mood."
Ginny rolled her eyes, "You such a megalomaniac, Neo." She nodded, however. "Noon tomorrow. Hogsmead. And if you behave, then we'll see about the two of you not being foced to stay in town."
She ran a hand through her hair, and then looked Neo right in the eyes.
"One more thing, Neo."
He laughed, "Why am I not surprised?"
(sorry couldn't think of anything else)
((S'okay, didn't expect much. I just wanted it to go on record as him saying something else. Um, power playing just a tiny bit here. If it's too much, tell me.))
Ginny eyes turned dark, her sarcastic smile faded. She took a step forward, and without further ado punched Neo right on his cheekbone, breaking it for sure. She didn't hit like any girl, or any guy for that matter. She hit hard enough to break through a thick stone wall.
She hit him hard enough that his body followed the direction his head went in and he almost fell to the side. But she knelt, catching him before he hit the ground. She clasped the front of his robes and laid him on the floor, none to gently.
Ginny knelt down, her breath hot on his ear as she spoke quietly.
"If you ever hit Lavy again, I will not hesitate to kill you."
"If you touch her again, you will die in the most painful way I know of." She growled, then flicked his ear, "And I know how to make it painful."
She let go of his robes and stood, turning to Lavy and Aidan.
"Let's go."
(no. I can't fault you anyways I do it too ::))
"Holy Sh*t!' Aidan said, a huge smiled coming over his face as he looked at Neo. He pulled Lavy back over to him, since she was clearly in a state of shock and then touched Ginny's shoulder. There was a slight rush of air around them and when their eyes were open again they were standing in front of Hogwarts, "I've never seen anyone get one that good on him before
"Oh, shut up." Lavy said frustration creeping out of her voice. She pushed him away from her.
"Oh, come on Lavy. Even you have to admit that no one's ever his him that hard before."
"That's not even the point. Once his head is clear and his bones are back in place I'm sure he's going to spend the next few hours finding a way to get you back Ginny. Neo can be a very vengeful person if he wants to be."
"She'll be fine," Aidan said, looking at her with a strange kind of admiration that wasn't there before
Lavy rubbed her wrist were the bracket had been. The skin was an angry red color, "Well I guess I should be thanking you if nothing else. He's so pis*ed right now I bet he's counting down the seconds until he sees you again. Now I'll have to do is push him a little more."
Stacey smiled at Cody and followed him into the headmaster`s office. ((who is headmaster anyway?)) She looked over at Jason. "I know what you used to be, but for right now I want you to get the other teachers." She glanced at Cody as if for approval.
Jason shrugged and disappeared.
Stacey turned back to Cody. "Now what?"
Cody nodded towards where the Headmaster stood, looking at them very unenthusiastically.
"Xerxes, how pleasant to see you. Why did you bust down my door?"
Cody shrugged, "Dunno the password. Headmaster, you need to call for a lock down of the school tonight, under my mother's direct order."
The headmaster sighed, "Fine."
Cody nodded and turned on his heel, catching Stacey's hand as her did so and pulling her back towards the door.
Meanwhile, Ginny was slowly walking towards the school.
"C'mon you two. You are both staying here at the school tonight." She didn't even blink when Lavy mentioned Neo retaliating. She wasn't worried, she had far more scary people after her life right now. Like Xaver's brother.
((*cringes* Horrible post....))
Stacey looked down at Cody when he grabbed her hand, she smiled. ((that`s the first thing he`s done that was nice to her!)) "What now?" She asked him. "Jason`s going to round up the teachers."
"Oh, I really should be getting back," Aidan said.
"No, you're staying. I'm sure he's not too happy with you either and at least here he'll have to work t find you."
"But--"
"No buts," Lavy grabbed his hand and started pulling him towrads Ginny, "You're staying. At least stay for me....please."
"But I....oh all right."
Lavy smiled at pulled him so that they were caught up with Ginny, "Are you really going to let him come into Hogsmead tomorrow?" she asked.
"The Head will inform them. My mom will probably take me home and come back to guard the school." Cody shrugged, his small hand pulling her back into the hallway and towards the front door.
Ginny glanced back at Lavy and shrugged one shoulder. "Can't stop him from going to Hogsmead...but I did lie about not watching."
She picked her way over the ground, covering her mouth as she yawned.
"I dunno what I'm going to do about Cody...I don't want him staying here."
"He's going to want to be part of the action. No matter how dangerous. Actually I have a sneaking suspicion that the more deadly the situation is the more he wants tot be there. So he's going to try everything to stay. Oh crap," She said suddenly.
"What?"
"I have something I need to do. But don't worry I'm not going anywhere near Neo right now," She said right before she disappeared.
Aidan waited a moment before he said, "I'm glad you're helping her with this. Lavs can be a little naive when it comes to Neo. I think she can get him back but I don't think she realizes how hard that could actually be."
Ginny shook her head, "She's not naive. She's stupid."
She ran a hand through her red hair, nodding towards him though.
"Of course I''m going to help her. I was, still am actually, her teacher. I consider her like a younger sister. Why would I let some jackaS beat her up? The only thing I can do is keep her from being killed until she realizes that he's not worth this."
((This is actually an extremely touchy subject. My best friend was beat up by her boyfriend and she kept going back to him. Also, me and two of my friends are going to see Neo this summer! hahha.))
(AHHHH!!!!! LOL!!!! Don't tell him what I did to his character! He'll totally kill me lol ::) :P)
"I want her to stop going back to him. And she did for a while. But then I got her right back in," Aidan said, remorse clouding his expression, "I wish I hadn't. She was staying away from him quite nicely until I showed up. I think I somehow convinced her without meaning to that there is still a chance.
"And there is. But it's so small now I don't think it's worth a risk....I just don't see how she can be so smart about everthing else but this."
(sorry about you're friend. i can't think of having any experience with an abusive relationship, but i know enough that that I know I would want someone to slap me if I ever got in one and try and knock some since in me.....which sounds kinda redundant ???)
Stacey squeezed Cody`s hand slightly. "Sp what do we do?" She asked.
"I am going to wait by the front door." Cody's small hand slipped from Stacey's just after she squeezed it. "You can either go find Jason or come with me." He shrugged, starting towards the doorway, his face a mask. He was worried about his mother.
Ginny scowled, "You are the one who pulled her back in Aidan." She kept walking, "You were used. Something you should know about people like Neo, they use people." She clenched her fists.
"Neo is just like my ex husband...hitting him felt very very good."
Aidan nodded, "Yes I know. U even new when it was happening. I just thought....well that she loves him so much. I thought that maybe that love would help her get him back. I thought bringing her back was for the better. He wasn't always like this. He use to be a good person, Ginny. Lavy could tell you that. She knew him better then anyone."
Stacey nodded her head. "Jason and I will meet you at the front door." She said to Cody. "Then we can figure something out." she turned around and ran away to find Jason.
"You think I don't know it?" Ginny rolled her eyes, "I taught Neo, same as I taught Lavy. Didn't exactly agree with him, but I considered him a friend..."
She stopped walking, turning on her heel to face Aidan.
"Listen, I don't know what cause Neo to be like he is now, and I don't really care. Fact of the matter is that he is like that now, and until her changes again, it's best that Lavy stays away from him as much as possible." She sighed, wrapping her arms around herself, "Life runs in cycles, but who knows how long this part of the cycle will last? My ex-husband is still a stupid abusive jerk..."
Stacey came rushing back to Cody a few minutes later with Jason close behind her. "Cody, what are we going to do know?"
"I agree. I'll do everything in my power to keep her away from him. But I must warn you that she's even more hardheaded then you remember her. It will be hard to keep her from what she wants and she wants him. I don't know how convincing either of us will be to her."
