Stacey walked down the stairs and went outside. She was wearing blue jeans and a green tee shirt, her eyes matched. It was about 5 o`clock in the evening, and the sky was starting to turn pink and purple. She sighed and walked in a careless manner in the general direction of the edge of the forest. She heard a twig crack close behing her and turned around.
Aiden slipped in his converses and walked outside. The moon was just beginning to slowly rise in the sky. He put his hands in the pockets of his hoodie and walked around. Aiden glanced and saw a girl he didn't know. He looked back at the ground and began to slowly walk past the girl into the forest. He gave her a short smile as he walked past.
"Wait." Stacey said, keeping her wand in her hand. "Who are you?" This was someone she didn`t know. Her eyes sparkled brown as a warning.
Aiden stopped and turned around. He took off the hood of jacket so she could see his face. "I'm Aiden, Aiden Gray" he replied shortly in his deep voice. He looked up at her for a brief moment before looking back at the ground.
Stacey figured he was shy. "Are you a seventh year?" She asked him, her eyes lightening to a deep blue. She lowered her wand, but kept it in hand, she didn`t know if she could trust him.
He looked back up at her, before looking at her wand. "Yeah, I am. What about you?" he asked. Then he looked at her eyes which looked like they changed colors. "I'm sorry, whats your name?" Aiden asked a little louder.
"I`m Stacey Black, fifth year." She saiid, her eyes getting even more llight. "Would you mind telling me why you`re here?" She asked, putting her wand in her sleeve. This guy was cute, she didn`t want to scare him.
Aiden nodded shortly before replying "I was just walking around, enjoying the weather and thinking." He tilted his head a bit to the side as her eyes changed colors again "Your eyes, their very unique" Aiden noted quietly aloud "and pretty".
Stacey couldn`t help but blush, she had heard that many times from many people. "What powers do you have?" She asked him.
"Normal wizard powers" Aiden replied quietly "few other things though, like I'm an animagus and can control fire. Just a bit though." He looked at her "And you?"
Stacey grinned and waved her hand in a circular pattern. A ring of fire appeared momentarily before disolving. "The normal stuff." She answered. He didn`t need to know her one unique power just yet. Her eyes sparkled into the crystal blue that they were most of the time. "So what do you do in your spare time?"
Aiden nodded once more, impressed. He smiled for a brief moment before answering "Draw, play guitar, or just walk around the school, like I am right now." He looked at the ground again and shifted his foot over the dead leaves on the ground. "And how about you?" Aiden looked up at Stacey.
Stacey pondered for a second on how much she shoul tell him. "What`s your angle?" She asked, not answering his question just yet. She crossed her arms and shifted her weight.
"My angle?" He answered back confused.
Guys. She thought to herself. "What do you want? Why are you asking me these questions? What do you want from me?" She asked, ginving examples for him.
Aiden blinked, taken aback. "Just making small chat" He answered more quiet than before. "If you want me to leave I will."
"No, you don`t have to go. You`re new here, and you`re a guy, but sometimes the guys here aren`t as nice as others." She said to him in a serious voice. "You don`t have to go."
Aiden looked down at the ground "Are you sure?" He asked still staying quiet "I don't any of the guys here so I doubt I am like any of them."
"No, stay." Stacey said in a quiet voice. "The guys here aren`t bad, just not always good." She added. "Are you... shy?" She asked.
He looked back up at her "I guess so. It seems like it doesn't it?" Aiden gave her another small smile. "Why?"
Stacey smiled sweetly back. "No reason." She said quietly. She had a question on the tip of her tounge, but she thought it wouldn`t be right to ask it since they had only just met.
Aiden looked at her and saw the she seems anxious about something. Probably a question she wanted to ask. "Whats wrong?" he asked.
"Do you have a girlfriends?" She asked quietly. She was shy when it came to this kind of thing.
"No, not at the moment." Aiden replied. He put his hands back in his hoodie because it was kinda cold. "Why do you ask?" he asked as he tilted his head a little to the side out of curiosity.
Stacey tillted her head too. "How much control do you have over fire?" She asked, changing the subject.
Aiden blinked but didn't question, she seemed embarrased about something. "Just some. Quite a bit when I'm angry though. The name Aiden actually means fiery." he pointed out kind of quietly.
Stacey felt Aiden catch her embarrasment. "Can you do anything you want with fire?" She asked. "If you can, then you truely have power over fire." She straightened her head. "If you knew my complete history, you would understand." SShe said without explaining.
"Well, I'm not sure about anything. But name it and I could try..." Aiden said quietly.
"Does it burn you? Can you make it to where it doesn`t burn certain people? Can you make it dance before you? Can you make it live?" She said in a soft voice, stepping a little closer to him.
Aiden looked down at her. "I can do all those things" he continued quietly "However, its very hard to control."
Stacey looked up into his dark eyes. "Do you understand fire as if it was part of your own soul?" She whispered.
Aiden looked at her with intensity. "It is part of me..." he murmered quietly.
Stacey stared for a moment. "Does fire live inside you?" She whispered, taking a step closer to him. Her eyes burned orange.
Aiden continued to look down at her with the same intensity as she slowly stepped closer. Aiden stood completely still. "Every moment I live it does. It controls everything" he told her still quiet.
Stacey`s eyes sparked into a crystal blue shade. "But does it control you? Fire is a living thing, you have to take care of it, but you can`t let it get ahead of you." She whispered.
Aiden thought for a moment. "I try not to let it control me...its...just too hard sometimes." he replied with a small frown appearing on his face.
Stacey continued to stare at Aiden. "You have to learn hom to control it. If you don`t, you will get hurt." She made a flame fly out from her hand and she moved it to where it was touching her arm. The flames were so intense that they were partially blue. She swallowed the flame. "You see?" There was no burn mark on her arm.
Aiden nodded slowly as he watched her. His eyes got darker as he slowly rubbed two of his fingers against one another. A short spark appeared, and as he shortly made his hand wider and wider the flame got larger until it was the size of a baseball. Aiden looked back at her. "It won't burn you. I can control that much at least.."
Stacey smiled and ran to the other side of the clearing. She threw her hands up and a large cloud of fire burst into the air, swallowing Aiden. But instead of burning him, it swirled around him, engulfing him in a funnel of fire.
Aiden stood in the fire without any pain. He could easily feel the heat though. Aiden made a small fire spark in his hand and shot one through the cloud of fire, making a small hole for him to jump through. Aiden laughed quietly to himself.
Stacey flicked her wrist and the cloud disappeared. "Let`s see how much you can do." She said challengingly. She made a design in the air and the outlines of sirens filled the air. She sirens sang, but in a different song than the water sirens.
Aiden stared at the sirens. "Wow...well I don't think I can do that" he told her quietly.
Stacey made the sirens disappear. "That`s ok. Just try something, something you`ve never done before." She looked at him kindly, with her eyes turning red from playing with fire.
Aiden nodded and smiled a little bit, he was enjoying himself. He always had fun when he practiced with fire. Aiden looked down at his hands and put them together. He slowly rubbed them together and a flame appeared over them. He opened his hand and a flame ball appeared.
Stacey smiled as she watched him. "Great, now try and make that into something else." She said quietly.
Aiden turned his hand over and twirled them around each other until a small flame star appeared. He smiled, amused. "Here you go" Aiden made the star fly over to her.
Stacey laughed as she took the star and crumpled it as if it were paper. She slowly drew her hands apart and the fire paper turned into streamers that lept to the air. One slolwy fluttered to the ground in front of Aiden.
Aiden's smile widened. He slowly crept his finger forward and touched one of the streamers that were floating in the air in front of him and Stacey. Aiden chuckled quietly.
Stacey smiled, glad he was ammused. And took a backward steps away from Aiden. She flung her right arm in the air and spread her fingers out wide. Millions of little fire specks exploded from her palm and into the air. They slowly floated to the ground like confetti.
Aiden laughed again. "Thats cool" he said quietly as he watched it fall, reaching to touch another one.
"Yea," Stacey said, making the conffetti disappear. "I`m a master of fire. I can make it do whatever I want." She smiled, and made a fire siren. "I can make it dance before me." She said, making the illusion dance. "I can make it evil." She flexed a finger, and the siren turned into a werewolf, prwling around the edge of the clearing. "I can make it fly." She flicked her wrist and the werewolf turned into fifty butterflies that flew around Stacey.
Wow...Your very talented" Aiden noted aloud. "I'm not sure how limited my abilites are so I wouldn't know what I could do" he told her quietly. Aiden scraped his foot over the ground
Stacey made the butterflies disappear. "That`s okay. I`ve had years to work on my powers." She told him, not saying how she had ended up with the power in the first place, he still didn`t know about her special power. "You don`t know howmuch time I`ve come here to practice." She looked at him with crystal blue eyes.
"Do you know anyone else that have powers like us?" Aiden asked her, curious if there were anyone like them. He looked back up at her and tilted his head.
"Ginny." She said, thinking of the only person off the top of her head that could use fire. "Oh, and Virgil." She added. "There are other people, but they aren`t good at all. They can`t even make a flame come out of their palm."
Aiden blinked and thought for a moment. He tilted his head so it was straight again. "Oh okay. Well I feel a little special then" Aiden said with an amused smile.
Stacey laughed. "You should." She said, meaning something else.
Aiden laughed. "Yes I know" he said, joking. A grin showed across his face.
Stacey stopped laughing and leaned against a tree, looking up at the stars. "They`re beautiful." She whispered.
Aiden looked at her. "What is?" he asked then he followed her gaze up to the dark sky. "They sure are..." he agreed quietly.
Stacey looked straight ahead and lifted her arm, palm up. She concentrated until a small star glowed, floating above her hand. She glanced at Aiden, then flicked her wrist, sending the miniature star twards him.
Aiden blinked and looked at the small star. He slowly reached toward it and grabbed it in his hand. He looked down at it with very small smile that barely showed.
Stacey saw the smile. "Do you like stars?"
Aiden let his smile show a little bit more. "Yes, actually I do. They're quite fascinating." He replied, showing the star in his hand and holding it out to her.
Stacey smiled back, so he liked stars, something else they had in common. "Keep it." She said, taking his hand and curling his fingers over the star.
"Thank you" Aiden said to her as she closed his hand. The star's light showed through his closed palm.
She held his hand closed for a moment, the stepped back and looked up into the sky. "I like stars too." She said quietly.
Aiden looked at his hand, then she let it go. He looked back up at the stars. "They're amazing. I feel drawn to them, and theres only a few things I'm drawn to" He whispered to her. Aiden didn't want to say the other thing he was drawn to.
Stacey blushed slightly, making her pale cheeks a light pink. "I don`t know why I like them. They just make me feel calm, happy."
"Calm his good. Happy is better." Aiden said, looking at her. He smiled as he noticed that she was blushing. "We all need something to make us feel that way, when we can't ourselves." He murmured.
Stacey closed her eyes, which were starting to turn pink. "You have to be happy to be calm. You can`t be truely calm when you aren`t happy." She whispered.
"Thats right" Aiden agreed quietly. He nodded shortly. He looked down from the dark sky and stared at his hands.
Stacey didn`t say anything. She opened her eyes, which she had gotten to stay blue, and leaned against the tree, looking up at the sky.
Aiden turned around and glanced at Stacey, looking at her eyes. "Do your eyes change colors depending on your mood?" he asked curiously, tilting his head to the side.
"Depends." She told him. "If the emmotion is really strong, then yes. Other times, if the emmotion is minor, I can keep it on the color I want. Red means I`m mad or playing with fire. Blue means happy or sad. Brown means normal, no major emmotion. Orange, well, orange doesn`t stand for a certain emmotion." She looked at him. "You get the idea.
"Thats really interesting" Aiden said, still tilting his head. "What does pink mean?" he asked curious.
Stacey suddenly knew what he wanted to know, making her blush again. "Pink means I`m embarrassed, it mostly happens when I blush." She forced her eyes to stay blue.
"Oh okay" Aiden nodded once more. He looked down at her "Sorry"
"For what?" Stacey asked him, looking up into his eyes.
"I don't know. I just hope I'm not making you feel embarrased" Aiden said to her as his eyes automatically got a little bit darker.
Stacey tilted her head. "No." She told him.
"Oh okay. Well, thats good. I just don't want you to feel bad about anything" Aiden told her.
Stacey pursed her lips together. "You don`t have to worry about anything like that."
Aiden nodded and smiled a little bit that it didn't show. "Well, thats good" he murmured quietly.
Stacey looked back up at the sky. "That right there, that group of stars is called the Great Chulea." She said, standing next to him and pointing up.
Aiden followed her gaze to where she pointed at. He identified it after her. "Thats cool. I wish I knew how to identify constellations. I guess I'm not that talented."
"I`m not talented." She said, dropping her arm. "I am simply well educated. She looked at the ground grimly. "I read a lot."
Aiden looked down at her. "Well, you have to have the ability to do it. And do it well. Books don't give you that" He said to her with a kind smile.
Stacey looked up at Aiden`s smiling face. "Books can teach you anything." She said with certainty in her voice.
Aiden looked at Stacey "Maybe I should read more then" he said with an another amused smile.
Stacey looked up at Aiden and couldn`t help but smile. "Mabey you should." She joked.
"I forgot how to read though" Aiden said joking. "I'll just pretend that I read them" he leaned against the tree and sat down.
Stacey rolled her eyes and sat next to him. "See that one? That`s the North Star." She said, pointing at a very bright dot in the black sky.
Aiden leaned to the side a bit so she would have more room as they sat down. He looked at the sky once more. "That one I can always point out, its the easiest star for me to see. The most dominant one too because its so bright." Aiden said to Stacey.
Stacey smiled. "See, you know something." She said jokingly. She leanded back. "Find the Sirius star." She said. ((there really is a sirius star))
Aiden layed both of his hands in his lap. "The sirius star? I would have no idea..." He mumbled. Aiden pointed to a random star. "There" he said as he layed his hand back in his lap.
Stacey smiled when she saw where he was pointing. "Actually, yes." She looked at him. "You know more than you think."
Aiden blinked. "Wow..I guess so...That was just a guess.." He said the last part more quietly. He stretched his arms and layed them back down in his lap.
Stacey sighed and made two fire butterflies appear and fly around.
Aiden watched the butterflies fly around. He then layed down on the grass and layed his head against a tree. Aiden rubbed his fingers together and made a flame appear. Then he flicked his wrist and the flame became a star. The star flew in the air with butterflies. Aiden smiled shortly.
Stacey caught Aiden`s smile. She flicked her index finger and the butterflies turned into stars that whirled around in the wind.
Aiden smiled again, not trying to hide it. He made another star and gave it to her. "Here. This is your star" he said quietly.
Stacey looked into his dark eyes as she took it. "Thank you." She said quietly. She held it in her palms and stared at it.
"Your welcome." He said. Aiden layed his hands on his stomach and looked up at the stars.
The little star that Stacey made fizzled out. She noticed this. "This is kinda a girly question, but what`s your favorite flower, or plant."
Aiden chuckled "My favorite flower? I don't know. I've never thought about it.." he answered. He paused and thought for a moment. "A black rose I guess. I've never seen one before though. Whats yours?"
Stacey put her star in her pocket and rubbed her fingers together. A green thing started growing out from her hand. It grew taller and eventually grew to a black rose. In her other hand, there was a white carnation.
Aiden watched her. "Well, looks like you definatly pass me at using magic" he said quietly. He looked at the rose and the carnation. "Whats that?" Aiden asked, pointing to the white carnation.
"I`ve had extensive training. And it`s not my magic." She said, knowing he didn`t know about her major power yet. "This is a carnation." She said, blowing on the flower. The edges turned purple. "This is for you." She said, holding out the black rose.
Aiden smiled kindly. "Thanks" he said. He looked down at his hands. "I would make you something, but all I know how to do is fire. And I'm sure your sick of it already" Aiden mentioned quietly.
Stacey set down the flowers. "I would never get sick of fire." She said.
Aiden smiled "Well in that case..." Aiden closed his fist and when he opened it a flame appeared in the shape of a heart. He let it go out in front of Stacey. "I've kinda had this thing for hearts. I think they're awesome." he said. Aiden picked up the flower and looked at it.
Stacey reached out and tounched the heart. She held in in one hand. "I`m afraid my plant skills aren`t really all that great. The flower will fade in a few hours." She said sadly.
Aiden looked at her. "Its okay." he said winking. "I don't mind. I still like it, its cool. Thanks"
Stacey smiled widely. "You`re welcome."
Aiden paused and layed down in the grass. He stretched his feet and arms out and sighed. He felt relaxed.
Stacey froze for a moment, Aiden`s head was less than six inches away from her leg. She slowly stretched out her arm and brushed his hair out of his face.
Aiden looked up at her and smiled. He scooted over a little bit so she wouldn't be so squished.
Stacey gave a small smile back and put her hand on his shoulder. "So, what was your life like before you came here?"
Aiden's expression changed a little bit into a frown. "Not so great. Hogwarts is much better than back at home" he said quietly.
"You don`t have to say any more if you don`t want to." She said, noticing his tone. She had had enough of her own experiences to know when to stop questioning someone. She rubbed his shoulder lightly.
Aiden looked at her and he fixed his hair out of his eyes. "I don't mind. Its just not a happy topic I guess"
"Trust me, I know what you mean." She said, continuing to rub his shoulder.
Aiden nodded "I guess thats not a good thing" he pointed out. He looked at her hand on his shoulder and then looked at the sky for a moment.
Stacey stopped rubbing his shoulder. "What?"
Aiden looked back at her. "Nothing. I like shoulder massages" he said joking.
Stacey smiled and started to rub his other shoulder too. "Yea, just anther thing I`m soooo good at." She said sarcastically.
"Your are" Aiden said smiling. He faked a yawn, acting like he was tired. He then stood up and bowed sarcastically. "Since you gave me a massage, what should I do for you Me'lady?" he said jokingly like a gentleman.
Stacey let out a giggle. "Why, so generous of you, Lord Aiden." She said, mimicking his tone.
Aiden smiled widely at her tone and sat down. He rubbed her shoulders. After a moment he wrinkled his nose slightly. "I'm not very good at this" Aiden mumbled.
Stacey giggled and sat in front of him. "That`s okay, do you think I went to college last summer and got a masuse degree? No." She told him.
"Could've fooled me" Aiden complimented. He continued to rub her shoulders, not doing a good job.
Stacey smiled to herself. "Whatcha wanna do?" She asked.
He thought for a moment, before looking at the sky. It was starting to get dark but it was still quite warm out. Aiden stood up and held out his hand for her. "Want to go swimming?" he asked.
Stacey stood and took his hand. "Sure."
He smiled and ran down to the lake, still holding her hand. Swimming was one of his favorite things to do. As they arrived at the lake he took off his shoes and shirt and dove into the water. Aiden's head broke the surface. "Cmon" he said. Aiden walked back up to the shore beside her, soaking wet.
Stacey laughed and took off her jacket, shoes, and socks. She jumped in the warm water just as Aiden came out. "Going so soon?"
Aiden laughed "Not quite yet" he answered. Turned around, ran back and dove into the water. He came up and splashed her playfully.
Stacey gasped and splashed him back.
Aiden chuckled and dove under the water so he couldn't be splashed any more.
Stacey giggled and dove under after him, swimming arround in front of him.
Aiden dove a little deeper and watched her swim. He smiled slightly and began to show off by doing a backflip.
Stacey giggled into the water, sending air bubbles flying to the surface. She swam circles around Aiden.
Aiden smiled widely and swam higher to catch his breath. He broke the surface. His usually spike hair covered over his eyes. Aiden looked down to see where Stacey was.
Stacey surfaced behind Aiden, gaspig for breath. She swam closer to him and pushed his hair out of his eyes. Her own hair was just as messy.
He fixed the wet locks of her hair so it was out of her face as well. He smiled as he saw her face clearer. He looked up at the sky as the moon began to get higher. It casted its reflexion over the water.
Stacey smiled at him then looked up into the sky. Some stars were starting to come out. She made her eyes change black so they would reflect the moon.
Aiden looked at her eyes. "See, you really are a star" he told her quietly.
Stacey smiled at him again and swam closer to him. She put a hand on his shoulder. "I`ve already told you, you`re my moon." She whispered.
Aiden was able to stand up now since the water was shallow, even though it was too his shoulders. He layed his hand on hers. "A star and a moon" he repeated quietly.
Stacey smiled and hugged Aiden. She barely touched the bottom of the lake. She had to stand on her tip-toes and the water came to her neck.
Aiden hugged her back. He smiled as he noticed that she was barely above the water. He chuckled and lifted Stacey up onto his shoulders. "Better?" he asked.
Stacey laughed. "See, I`m not perfect. I`m sort and weak."
"Well, thats not a bad thing. Its what I like about you" Aiden said as he held her. He walked around as the dark water splashed small waves around them.
Stacey laughed and fixed his hair better. Her ankles were in the water, and she swished them back and forth. Suddenly, Stacey was puled back off of Aiden`s shoulders and into the water.
Aiden turned around quickly. He looked for her to see where she was. "Stacey?"
Stacey was gasping for air. Something had wrapped around her neck and was draggibg her down farther into the depths of the lake, she couldn`t breathe.
Aiden took a deep breath and dove into the water. He looked around as his eyes got completely black. He saw Stacey being dragged by something. Aiden swam farther into the lake,. He was close behind her and grabbed her hand, trying to get the thing, or creature, to give away its hold on her.
The thing wouldn`t give up that easily. It pulled at Stacey, trying to get Aiden to let go. Stacey gasped, desperately trying to find air. The thind turned to face Aiden. It was a mermaid.
Aiden struggled to hold onto her. His gripped tighted as pulled his wand out of his pocket, something he rarely used outside of class. Aiden pointed his wand at the mermaid and muttered a spell under the water. A bright light shot out, hitting the mermaid.
The mermaid hissed and swam off, letting go of Stacey, who gasped and tried desperately to breathe.
Aiden gripped her hand tightly and pulled her up to the surface. He held her in his arms. "Stacey?! Are you okay?" he asked anxiously.
Stacey gasped, taking in large breaths of the cool night air. After a couple minutes she was able to answer. "Yes, I`m fine." She wrapped her arms around him in a hug. "You saved my life."
Aiden hugged her tightly. "No, no...I'm so sorry" he told her quickly as he shook his head.
"What are you sorry for?!" She asked, leaning back so she could give him a look. "You saved my life."
He continued to shake his head. "Its my fault" Aiden answered as he looked at her "I may have saved your life but I'm the one who endangered it in the first place. I shouldn't have brought you here. I'm sorry for that."
Stacey gripped his shoulders. "I can swim. I`ve been out here millions of times. Yu didn`t put my life at risk."
Aiden looked down and shook his head. "I don't know what I would've done if I'd lost you" he whispered.
Stacey lifted his head. "You always put yourself down. For once, feel good about yourself." Her voice got softer. "Remember, I love you, there`s nothing you can do to change that."
Aiden carried Stacey to the shore, not feeling comfortable in the water any more. "I know...but I-" he stopped speaking and frowned. "I'll try to be more careful for now on."
Stacey sat on the shore, but didn`t bother to dry herself off. She looked into his eyes. "You don`t have to be more careful, if anything, it was my fault."
Aiden shook his head. "No it wasn't." he said. He got up and picked up his hoodie he left on the ground and wrapped it around Stacey to keep her warm.
Stacey knew she could have used her powers to dry off, but she decided to let Aiden take care of her. "If you had lost me, I still would have been with you forever."
Aiden tilted his head to the side. "How so?" he asked as he sat down beside her again.
Stacey took a silver ring out of her pocket. "With this." She held it out for him to take. She had an identical one on her right ring finger.
He slowly took the ring and opened his hand looking at it. Aiden then looked at the identical one on hers. "Where did you get these from?" he asked quietly. He touched the ring with his other hand, looking at it.
Stacey tilted her head, not really understanding why he was acting this way. "A Muggle store near where my mom lives."
Aiden looked back at Stacey. "I'm a little confused. How will these keep us together?" he asked quietly.
Stacey couldn`t help but laugh. "Beacause you will think of me whenever you look at it. My memory would live in you if I was gone."
Stacey's laugh made him smile a little. "Ah I see. I wouldn't need these to think of you though" Aiden told her as he put the ring on his finger.
He looked at her. "I almost forgot. I've got something for you." he said as he dug through his pocket.
Stacey`s laughter stopped but a smile stayed on her face. She watched as he dug in his pocket.
Aiden reached in his pocket. He pulled out a small chain necklace. On it contained a red stone that resembled the color of fire. "Its not much..." he told her quietly "I just decided to make you something."
"It`s beautiful." She said, looking up at Aiden.
"Not enough" Aiden said, very quietly. He looked back at her. "Something to remind you of me" he said, pointing to the stone.
Stacey smiled and put her hand on his knee. "It reminds me of your eyes, therefor, it`s beautiful." She said defiantly.
Aiden looked at her seriously. "Nonsense. Remember, your my star" he told her, emphazing on the word your.
Stacey smiled and gently took the necklace. She unhooked the clasp and held it up to her neck. She gave Aiden a questioning look.
Stacey held back a laugh and turned around, her back facing him. She held out the ends of the necklace for him to hook together.
(My post disappeared. Thats weird...?)
Aiden chuckled and held the necklace in both of his hands. He carefully hooked them together. "There you go" he said as he let go.
Stacey turned around, her smile bigger, her eyes bright blue. "Thank you." She giggled.
Aiden smiled back and looked at her. "It looks good on you" he noted.
He was right; the necklace hung perfectly around her neck, just about two inched past her collar bone. "I was right, it is beautiful."
Aiden nodded in agreement as he continued to smile shortly. He stood up and held out his hand. "Would you mind taking a walk with me?" he asked as he glanced at Stacey and the necklace that hung from her kneck. He kinda wanted to get away from the lake.
Stacey stood and took his hand. "Sure." She said, telling he didn`t want to be around the water. She wrapped the hoodie around her shoulders more.
Aiden began to walk in a random direction, keeping a steady pace with Stacey. He glanced at the hoodie. "Are you getting drier?"
Stacey gave a reasuring smile. "Yep." She said, using her powers to make herself a little dryer.
"Thats good" Aiden said as they continued to walk around. He began thinking to himself in silence.
Stacey could feel him thinking. "What are you thinking about?" She asked quietly.
Aiden looked down at Stacey. "Home" he replied after a moment. He slowed his pace down a little.
tacey gently laid her hand on his arm. "Do you want to talk about it?" She asked in a loud whisper.
Aiden shook his head slightly. "Nah, I'm alright." he answered. "Only things in the past. I'm over it" Aiden told her quietly.
Stacey kept her hand on his arm. "Are you sure?" She asked. "I know how things can effect you." She said quietly, memories of her own coming into her mind.
"It'l probably bore you to death" Aiden said with a small smile that didn't fully spread across his pale face. He continued to walk deeper and deeper into the woods.
Stacey gave him a serious look. "Tell me, if you want to."
Aiden looked down and walked silently for a few moments. "Well, both of my parents died when I was younger" he told her quietly.
Stacey let her hand fall into his. "I know how that must feel. I mean, I have both of my parents, but I`ve lost a lot of people."
Aiden's cold hand held onto hers. "Its a horrible pain...losing the ones you love" he said quietly, looking back at Stacey.
Stacey squeezed his hand. "I know." She whispered.
Aiden stopped and looked down at Stacey. "Are you alright?" he asked, referring to what she just said. He put his other hand over hers.
Stacey looked up at him. "I`m fine." She said quietly. "It all hapened a long time ago." Her family had been in the Order.
Aiden nodded "Okay" He pressed his lips into a hard line. He wasn't used to talking about these things to people.
"Are you okay?" She asked.
Aiden nodded. "Oh yes I'm fine. I think your one of the few people at Hogwarts I really talk to about stuff like this" He told her.
Stacey let her eyes turn grey. "That`s beacause I love you." She whispered.
Aiden looked at Stacey seriously. "I love you" he whispered emphazing each syllable carefully. He stepped closer to her and held Stacey in his arms. His eyes turned a bright golden color. Aiden leaned in and kissed her then pulled back slowly. "More than you'll ever know...."
Stacey kissed him back, her eyes spiralling into the unnatural blue. "The same goes for you." She whispered back.
Aiden rubbed his thumb against her cheek. He watched the color her eyes turned. "Well, that makes us even" he pointed out quietly.
Stacey smiled, took his hand, and started to walk again.
Aiden squeezed her hand and kept a steady pace between the two of them. "Where do you want to go?" he asked quietly.
Stacey smiled, but looked straighed ahead. "Wanna go to the Shreiking Shak?" She asked mischeviously.
Aiden's eyes brightened for a moment. "Yeah" he said with a some excitement. He hopped up and held his hand out for her.
Stacey took his hand and led him towards the Willow. She made a twig levitate and fly at a small spot on the tree. She led him to the base on the tree and into a tunnel.
Aiden walked through the tunnel as he held onto her hand. He snapped his fingers and a flame appeared so they would have a decent amount of light in the tunnel.
They came to an opening that led into the Shak. She led Aiden into the dusty room.
Aiden entered the shack and looked around. He had only been here one other time by himself. He closed his hand and the flame diminished away. Aiden looked around the shack and back at Stacey. "This place is cool. Not scared I hope?" He asked with a playful smile.
Stacey grinned. "Me? Noo." She said, emphasizing the word no.
Aiden chuckled. "Don't worry. Nothing besides me to be scared of"
"Should I be scared?" She asked, her face becoming serious.
Aiden paused for a moment His face hardened. "Sometimes. I can kind of lose control...I guess you could say. When I'm angry" he said quietly. Aiden looked at the ground.
Stacey didn`t know if he was being serious or not. So she just sat there and looked at him. Her hand instinctively went to her nck, where the necklace he gave her was.
Aiden's lips formed into a hard line. He decided to change the subject. "So what do you want to do?" Aiden asked, watching her reach for the necklace.
Stacey moved the necklace around absent-mindedly. "I dunno."
Aiden nodded. He couldn't think of anything to do either. He sat there thinking to himself. After a half a minute passed he spoke. "I want to ask you something" Aiden whispered quietly, feeling uncomfortable "But I need to know something before I do.." He looked at Stacey with a serious, almost pained expression.
Stacey turned her eyes to face him. She noted the seriuosness of his voice. "Go ahead and ask." She said in a hoarse whisper. She hoped for the best, but expected the worst.
Aiden paused for a long moment, thinking of how to say this. He really didn't want to talk about this, but he had to know. "You know I love you right? And you've told me that you do too." He paused "But am I the only one you love?" He whispered the last part quietly, thinking of Nate. He hoped that she would read his thoughts.
Stacey`s eyes turned a dark blue. "It`s... hard to explain. Nate is a vampire. He will outlive me by hundreds of years. There`s no possible way that I could be with him for the rest of my life." She paused. "He is a very good friend, but it just won`t work between us."
((That`s what I`m gonna tell Nate, he just doesn`t get on very often, so it takes longer.))
Aiden looked at the ground and leaned forward slightly so he could lean his arms on his knees. He knodded slowly. "Ah..I see. But do you still love him?" he asked.
Stacey thought for a moment. Did she love him? "Like a brother." She finally replied.
Aiden paused and thought about that for a moment to himself. "Alright" He said simply.
Stacey took his hand. "I mean it." She sia quietly. "I really do, it would never work between me and him."
Aiden looked at Stacey with the same serious expression. "I believe you" He said finally. He squeezed her hand.
Stacey`s eyes lightened a little. "I do love you."
"I love you too" Aiden whispered quietly. He picked up the hand he held and ran his pale fingers along her palm. "I'm sorry about asking" Aiden finished awkwardly.
Stacey watched him draw his fingers along her palm; it tickled slightly. "No, it`s okay. That needed to be cleared up."
Aiden continued to run his cold finger over her hand before stopping in the middle of her palm. "Yeah your right. I feel a little better know that I know a little more" He pointed out.
Stacey`s hand was starting to tingle, she wiggled it a little to make it stop. "I do too."
"What do you think he'll say?" asked Aiden. He looked down at her hand, moving his so it wouldn't bother her.
"I don`t know." She said quietly. "But he wouldn`t hurt me or anything."
Aiden nodded. "I may not know him that well. But I never thought he would hurt you." He paused "Are you going to say anything to him?
Stacey nodded. "I`ll tell him exactly what I told you. That he`s a vampire, and it just won`t work."
Aiden thought about that for a quick moment. "Do you want me to be there when you tell him?" He asked.
Stacey pursed her lips for a moment. "If you want to be there. But you don`t have to be. I don`t know how he`ll react."
Aiden looked at her seriously. "I want you to decide. I guess you know him better than I do so you choose"
Stacey thought for a while. "I don`t think you should be there, I don`t know him as well as you think."
Aiden nodded as she spoke, his eyes guarded. "Okay. If you want"
Stacey squeezed his hand again. "You can be there if you want, I just don`t want you to get hurt."
Aiden rubbed his thumb over the back of her hand. "Don't worry about me. I'm only worried about you"
Stacey thought for a while. ((Are we still in the bush?)) "I`m pretty shure he would never do anything to hurt me. But I don`t know about you."
(lol I forgot. I think so)
I'll be fine" Aiden reassured her. "If you want me to be there I will. If you don't I won't. Its all your choice.." He paused.
Stacey absent-mindedly rubbed his hand. "I don`t know." She whispered.
Aiden nodded slowly. "Okay, I'll let you decide if you want"
Stacey stood up from the bush. She brushed leaves off of herself. "I really don`t know."
Aiden watched her stand up. "Okay" he said after a moment.
Stacey nodded, crossed her arms, and leaned against a tree. She didn`t know what to say.
Aiden sat there looking at the ground, wrapped in his own thoughts.
