Stacey ran over to the Lake and jumped in, making a small splash. She had been wearing her old jeans and a tee shirts. Along with her boyfriend`s-- no, ex-boyfriend`s ring around her neck. He had just sent her a letter. She didn`t even finish it, she just ran outside and jumped in the Lake. When she surfaced, someone was standing at the shore.
"Hi, I don't think we've meet I'm Libby! And who are you?"
Nate blew his dark piece of hair out of hiseyes, but it flew back to the same spot. He hissed under his breath feeling irritated. He heard a splash and then a voice echoing into the woods. He sped past the trees making a whoosh sound as he went. The coolness of the wind that he hadcreated helped the stickyness that he had created from the heat. He didnt really pay attention to where the noise was until he had already half way passed them then he stopped abruptly, beginning to feel curious. He walked over to the deck bridge and stared blankly at the two girls. He was breathing heavily from the running, he said with a deep breath,"Um..hi," he said heaving.
Libby had had a feeling that someone had been watching her so she was not suprised by the sudden voice. She turned around her Red hair blowing in the wind and said. "Oh hello"
He smiled,"Hey i dont think i know you. Im Nate and you are," He put his hand out swiftly to be shook
Stacey swan closer to the shore. "Hi Nate." She said, looking up to his familiar dark eyes. She looked over to the new girl. "Haven`t seen you around before, are you new? I`m Stacey." She didn`t mention anything else, and sent a warning glance towards Nate.
"Yeah, Hi i'm Libby Weasly" said Libby smiling
Libby toke Nate's hand and shook it.
Stacey wached Libby shake Nate`s hand and her eyes erupted green. "Libby, this is my friend Nate." She said with an edge in her voice. "I`ve heard about you. You are actually a lot like me." She ripped off the chain with the ring off her neck and handed it to Nate. "Here, you know what it is, you know what it means to me. You can chose what you want to do with it." She knew Libby wouldn`t understand, but that was okay.
((just some info, you don`t have to post after every time someone else posts. In this case, we should wait for Nate to reply.))
Nates eyes turned darker and he was totall shocked. He held the neckolace not really looking at it, more like looking at Stacey. He looked confused at her,"W-what are you doing? I i dont understand." He asked quizically. His voice cracky.
"You know what I`ve recently been through, he had a matching one." She said, nodding at the ring. "I don`t care what you do with it. Keep it. Burn it. Don`t care." She said bitterly.
Nate shook his head, his hair moving while doing it,"No..its yours. You keep it." His eyes blank and full of emotions.
Stacey`s eyes fizzled a soft red. "No, you know that it left a black hole in my heart. You take it." She said, her hand shaking as she held it out.
Nate looked at her feeling really bad,"But i dont know what to do with it...i dont know i cant just take it from you." He said his voice rippling with sadness
Stacey sighed and threw it as hard as she could to the depths of the lake. "I didn`t know if you would want it or not, I thought I`d offer."
((May i join you twos? Feel perfectly free to say no if you want your 'moment'))
(idk u may want to ask stacey...haha but then again she can be controlling haha jp jp ;D )
Nate put on a lil smile and looked at her, he tilted his head to the side,"Now im a little confused? Does that mean you like another guy or you just really hated that ring?" He put on a playful lill boyish look.
"Both." She said, keeping a straight face.
((can if ya really want))
Nate grabbed her hand and looked at her face,"Hmm i wander who that would be?" He asked with a lil amusement in his eyes but his voice smooth as rocks.
Stacey squeezed his hand. "You haven`t the faintest idea." She said grinning mischeviously.
Nate smiled,"Oh do I?"
Stacey raised an eyebrow. "Nope."
Nate put his head down, with his hands in his pockets, and his dark hair in his face and said sadly,"I guess i will never know..."
Stacey leaned towards im and took his chin, lifting his head. "You already do."
Nate moved in moving his body close to her and just barily reaching her lips whispered,"hmm..i like you too."
Stacey smiled and kisse him gently. "I would hope so." She teased.
Nate smiled back and wrapped his warm hands around her waist, rocking her back and forth,"Well then little miss-know-it-all," he said teasingly.
Stacey ducked her head and her lips just barely touched his colarbone.
Nate looked at her, and moved in to kiss her softly on her cheek. He didnt say anything but just thought.
Stacey smiled, turned her head, and rested her head on Nate`s shoulder.
Nate rocked her back and forth lightly as he looked into the deep forest,"I dont know what to think,"he whispered.
Stacey kept still as Nate rocked her back and forth. "I don`t either." She replied softly. Her eyes became solid grey.
He paused as he stopped rocking,"I still like you and i dont know if i should be scared or happy,"he said shakily.
Stacey froze. "Why would you be scared?" She asked, swallowing as a large lump formed in her throat.
"Cause i know i cant have you and i like someone else also," he sighed,"D*mn i hate this feeling." He shook his head out of his deep thoughts.
Stacey sighed. "I hate it too." She whispered. "I hate the fact that I had to break up with you."
Nate added quietly,"I hate the fact that i still like you. And the worst part is ive been trying hard not to but i keep on liking you."
Stacey let out a gentle sigh. "We can`t help that, though." She whispered. "It`s impossible."
Nate just stared at the ground,"Thats why i hate it, so much"
Stacey looked at the groud too, but dilerberatly not at the same spit as Nate. "I know." She whispered softly, knowing he would hear. "I`m sorry." She said again.
Nate jerked his head towards her, his eyes full of sorrow. His throat dry,"Dont be," he said with a low voice.
Stacey sighed; she really hated it when Nate did this. "Nate, stop. How many times do I have to ask you not to act like this?" She asked, her question obvious rhetorical.
Nate flinched and stood up,"Im leaving," he said with anger.
Stacey stood up defensivly. "Why?" She demanded, "You know that it really is my fault, don`t you? You did nothing wrong! It was my fauly and I just really wish you would stop acting like it wasn`t!"
Nate closed his eyes and then reopened them, peering through his dark black eyes,"You know it wasn't your fault so just shut up about it! I hate how much you make me regret everything and right now your pissing me off," he growled. He glared at her as he held back from running away.
Stacey glared at Nate, then turned on her heel and walked away from him. "I know it was my fault. Tell me... what was one thing that you did for you to deserve this?"
"Hmm i can think of several. Do you want me to name them," he yelled as he glared at her walk away. His eyes never leaving her.
Stacey froze, both feet planted firmly in the ground. There were tears in her eyes and her voice quivered. "Yes," She whispered, "I would love for you to name them."
Nate shuffled his feet,"Fine." He looked up through his deep dark eyes and said sternly,"I could kill you. Actually at one moment or so i wanted to kill you. I suck overly as a boyfriend. Not friendly. Hmm..lets see i've killed about 200 people and im what? only 16. Yeah and i am a vampier, you and i cant date anyways." His voice softened as he looked back down at his shoes,"Do you want me to say more?"
Stacey swallowed and held back the tears. "No." She whispered. She collapsed against a tree and put her hands over her eyes.
He said in a much softer voice,"Now you know what you have to do and what i think you deserve. Go get married to Aiden. He'll love you in ways i cant." He moved by her side and put out a welcoming hand,"You know its true," he whispered.
Stacey slowly took the hand he had held out. "I know, Nate." She said softly. "I know all too well. I just wish things could be different."
Nate said almost over an whisper,"Things are different... for the best." A small smile formed on his face but he never let go of her hand until a couple of seconds too late.
Stacey looked at the ground. She didn`t say what she wanted to because she knew he would just tell her she was wrong and blame it on himself; she hated it when he did that.
"And you are wrong," he teased, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
