Aiden sat in the Gryffindor common room, laying on the couch. He stared into the fire as he began to write in his note book, thinking about home. He scribbled something out and threw the book down. Aiden then got up and walked outside into the forest. It was kinda cold so he lifted the hood on his dark black jacket and put it on his head. He began to walk around.
(Open)
Sky sat on the ground in the forest. The air cold and the sky cloudy. She was wearing a thick black hoodie and grey sweatpants. She laid her head back against a tree and closed her eyes. That was when she quietly hummed to herself. She was bored.
Stacey practically ran into Aiden. She had been walking in the forest, visiting Deshka. "Oh, hi." She said to him. "I`m sory, I didn`t mean to run into you."
"Oh, I'm sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going." Aiden replied looking at the ground before looking up at Stacey. He walked slower more than before and past Sky, not noticing her yet.
Sky watched as the two collided and laughed quietly. She watched as Aiden walked by then yawned.
Aiden looked up and saw Sky. He smiled shortly, a little embarrased that he wasn't watching where he was going.
Sky smiled. "It's okay. It happens to the best of us." She said, noticing his embarrassment.
"Yeah.." Aiden looked at Sky "Wasn't watching where I was going" he said turning to Stacey as he said that.
Lavy appeared next to Aidan but she wasn't looking at him, she was looking at Stacey. Her arms were crossed across her chest and she was tapping her foot, "Stacey, hasn't Ginny ever told you that she doesn't like students in the forest?" She asked.
Lavy wasn't dressed at all for the weather. As a matter of fact she didn't look like she belonged in the forest at all. She was wearing a navy blue, empire waisted dress that ended at her knees. She had blood red high heels on and a large red belt that matched them. Her hair was in insanely tight curls that fell to her mid-back.
Stacey smiled at Aiden. "It`s okay." She told him. She flinched when Lavy suddenly appeared. "Has Ginny ever told you how often I`ve been in the forest." She looked at Lavy`s clothing. "You don`t look like you should be here anyway." She looked back at Aiden. "Aiden, this is Lavy. She`s kind of a teacher here, I guess you could say."
Aiden smiled and waved at Lavy politely. "Hello" he murmered quietly.
Stacey smiled at Aiden. "Where were you headed?"
He returned a small smile back to her. "I couldn't sleep so I was just walking around. Nowhere in particular though." Aiden answered as he took the hoodie off of his head.
Stacey turned and looked at Lavy. "You should know by know that I am capable of taking care of myself. Don`t worry, I`ll be fine." She turned back to Aiden. "Come on, I want to show you soemthing."
"Okay" Aiden agreed. He waved shortly to Lavy and Sky in farewell and followed Stacey.
Stacey led Aiden to a large clearing. "This place is fire proof. You wouldn`t belive how many times I`ve come her and thought I`d set the forest ablaze." She looked around the enormous clearing.
Aiden looked around. "Fire proof?" he answered back. Not a single burn or ash was noticable anywhere in this enormous, beautiful clearing. "How did you find this place?" Aiden asked, looking back at Stacey.
Stacey took a few steps into the clearing. The grass was bright green and had dew on it. "I made it." She said. "The clearing was here, I just made it fire proof."
"Wow.." he murmered almost as a whisper. "This place is amazing" Aiden praised astonished. He looked back at the clearing.
Stacey looked back at him. "The reson I`m showing you this is because I figured you could come here to practice."
Aiden looked at her. "Thank you" he said quietly. Aiden took a step closer into the clearing and motioned his hand for her to come towards him. "Will you join me?"
She stepped towards him. "For what?" She asked. Her voice was hushed.
"Practice of course" Aiden said with a short hint of a smile appearing on the edges of his lips. He grabbed her wrist and started to run into the clearing.
Stacey smiled and followed him. "Where do we begin?"
"Any way you want to Milady" Aiden said in a mock French accent. He bowed to her with a small smile.
Stacey laughed. "Milady is OLd English, not French." She smiled at him. "First, can you make a fire flower?"
Aiden shook his head. "Same thing" he mumbled with a short smile as he looked at the ground. He looked back up at her. "I don't actually know the basics. I am powerful, but by my own ways. I've kinda made up my own stuff." Aiden replied quietly.
"French was actually made up thousands of years before Old English was." She said smiling. She took a step closer to him. "That`s okay, just try to make a flower, like this." She held her left arm in front of her and pinched her fingers together. A flower of fire emerged from her fingertips, growing slowly. "See? Now you try."
Aiden nodded as she took a step closer. He clenched his fist and turned his hand over so it was faced down and flicked his wrist so a small flame appeared. He slowly unclenched his hand and the flame shortly got bigger. Aiden twitched each one of his pale fingers and made a small, but pretty flower of fire. "There. I'm sorry the process took so long because I've never made a flower before..." Aiden told her quietly.
Stacey smiled sweetly at him. "It`s okay. You don`t have to be perfect, that was your first try, and it was a good one." She winked at him and jogged to the other end of the clearing. "Let`s see how big you can make your fire." She shouted. She flicked her wrists towards the sky and a rope of fire burst from her palms. The quickly flew over to Aiden and swerved behind him.
Aiden returned a small smile back and watched her. He turned around as she was behind him. "I'll try." He murmured. Aiden opened both of his palms and flexed his hands side to side until a flame appeared and got bigger and bigger until it lifted him off the ground. He got high in the air and tried to control the fire. Aiden looked down at the ground to see how high he was, however the height distracted him and he fell to the ground and landed with a giant thud. Aiden layed there, motionless.
Stacey watched Aiden and rushed over to him when he fell. "Are you okay?" She whispered, learing over him. She grabbed his wrist to check him pulse. "Are you okay?" She repeated.
Aiden looked around, wearily. He put his hand over his forehead. "Wh-? What happened?" He mumbled, as he winced when he felt his back hurt. "I...I think Im okay" Aiden looked at her confused.
Stacey dropped his arm. "Thank God." She said. "You fell. You were lifted up by your fire, are you got distracted and lost it." She told him. "It takes a lot of power to lift yourself off the ground with fire. You just lost control over it." She put a hand on his shoulder. "Your left shoulder is fractured."
"Ow.." Aiden mumbled quietly, putting his hand on his should too. "I don't want to go to the nurse" He told her as he looked at her and his shoulder.
Stacey felt Aiden put his hand on his shoulder, his hand slightly touching hers. She slowly pulled her hand away and stood up. She bit her lip. "I have very little healing powers." She told him. "How do you propose we fix your shoulder?"
"I don't know. It doesn't hurt to bad but it'l get worse if we don't fix it." Aiden told her, slightly embarrased about earlier. "If you can try I'll be very grateful" he said getting quiet again.
Stacey kneeled down next to Aiden, close to his shoulder. "I`ll try, but it might sting." She told him. She held her hand, plam down, a few inches over his shoulder. She closed her eyes and mouthed words to a charm. A white glow emerged from her hand and floated down to his shoulder, going into his skin.
Aiden flinched and he closed his eyes tightly together. It was almost over until the pain finally stopped. He looked down at his shoulder. "Wow...I think its better...Thanks" Aiden said to Stacey quietly with a smile.
Stacey sat back on her heels and felt her hand. "It burnt me." She looked at Aiden. "That light burnt my hand. That`s never happened before. Fire doesn`t even burn me."
Aiden stood up, feeling perfectly fine again. "Let me look at it" he said quietly as he took her hand. He looked at the palm of it and saw the burn marks on it. "I'm sorry" Aiden murmured apologetically. "I didn't mean to hurt you" he gave her a sorry look.
She looked up into his dark eyes and pulled her hand away. "It`s okay. It wasn`t your fault. I`m just not very good at my healing powers yet." She told him. She looked away from his eyes, picking up her ring that she had taken off before shetried to heal Aiden`s shoulder. She slipped the ring on her right ring finger, not looked at Aiden.
Aiden looked down at the ground. He figured she had gotten mad that he had burnt her. He traced his fingers over the studs on his bracelet. "Well thank you" he said very quietly, still looking at the ground.
Stacey heard him thinking. "I`m not mad at you, I don`t blame you." She looked at him. "Your welcome." She said a little quieter. "It`s just-" She didn`t finish her sentence. She looked down at the ring on her hand.
Aiden turned around and walked closer to her. "Whats is it?" He asked, still quiet as he looked down at Stacey.
"Nothing." She said, taking the ring off her finger and melting it in her palm. She poured the molten metal on the grass, where it cooled.
Aiden watched her melt the ring in her hand. He knew something was wrong at least. However, if she didn't want to talk about it she didn't have to. "Well, okay. But if you ever want to talk, I'm here" He assured her.
"Thanks." She said quietly, looking up at him. She was glad she didn`t have to tell him.
Aiden gave her a reassuring smile. He sat down and put his hood on against his head. He leaned against a tree.
Stacey looked over at Aiden. Suddenly, she disappeared.
Aiden opened his eyes and looked around. No one was there. "What the hell?" he said, confused as he looked around. He was alone. "Stacey?" Aiden called out.
"When the fire dances before you....." Came a voice in the wind. A small flame appeared in front of Aiden, twisting and turning. "You know its yours......" The voice came again. A wind blew throught the clearing, but the flame didn`t blow away.
Aiden just stared at the small flame and stood up quickly. "What? What does that mean?" He called out, confused. He glanced around quickly.
"When the fire dances before you, you know it`s yours." The voice repeated. The small flame disappered and the fire conffetti exploded into the air.
Aiden watched as the flame disappeared and the fire confetti fell. He scratched the back of his head and looked around. Out of habit, he rubbed his fingers together when he was nervous or confused. A flame appeared in his hand without him noticing as he looked around.
The wind whipped around Aiden, suddenly becoming a lot stronger. The conffetti blew around him. "It`s yours... It`s yours..." The voice repeated.
Aiden shook his head, trying clear it. He couldn't concentrate very well like this. "Whats mine?" He asked himself aloud.
Everything froze. The conffetti, the wind, everything except Aiden. "When the fire dances before you, you know it`s yours." The voice repeated slowly.
Aiden took a deep breath and took off his hood. He looked around and followed the voice as it continued to speak. The flames on his palms were getting bigger as his eyes darkened.
The voice stopped, but the echo didn`t. The wind whipped at Aiden. Eight small flames appeared in a perfect circle, with Aiden in the middle. "Control it." Came a sharp tone from the voice.
Aiden stopped, his eyes were completely black now. "I can" He whispered, trying to reassure himself. Aiden's hands started to shake as the flame got bigger. He kept whispering the same thing to himself until his eyes grew lighter, gaining control of himself.
((Is he a vampier???))
The flames around Aiden grew bigger, casting orange glows all around him. "Control the flames." The voice ordered. One by one, each of the flames fell to the ground, lighting it with fire.
(No hes not)
"I don't know what to do" Aiden said loudly, frusterated with himself. He looked around, anxiously.
"Think. "Control it." The voice ordered. The fire had spread around a little.
Aiden took a few more deep breaths, until he was fully in control. He watched the fire dance around him. Aiden shook his head to clear it once more. He then followed the voice again, getting closer.
The fire disappered and the voice stopped talking. Wild fire suddenly erupted all around him, engulfing him in a circle. If he couldn`t control the fire, he could get hurt. "Control it." The voice commanded from a different direction.
Aiden closed his eyes and took another deep breath. He opened them again and put his arms out in front of him. He twitched his fingers, making the fire around him dance wildly. Aiden quickly turned his arms the other way, making the fire disappear. He sighed, tired.
Stacey appeared from behind Aiden. "Congradulations. You did it." She said.
Aiden turned around confused. "Wait. Thats all I had to do?" he asked, feeling dumb.
"Well, no," Stacey said, stepping towards him. "You haven`t mastered fire yet. But controling fire you didn`t make is one of the hardest things to do." She smiled up at him. "All you have to do now is make it do what you please. You got it`s attention, so it will listen to you now."
Aiden nodded, understanding now. "Thanks for these...um..lessons" He said, thinking of a word for it.
"I wasn`t the one that did that little illusion you saw." She giggled.
Aiden blinked then tilted his head. "It wasn't?" He asked.
She giggled some more. "Nope."
"Who was it?" Aiden asked, curious.
"It was you." She told him. "You saw what you wanted to see. I had a premonition, so I disappered. All I did was make the very first flame."
Aiden blinked in suprise. "Me?" He asked. He understand what she said, but now how it happened.
Stacey nodded. "Yea. You wanted to learn how to master fire, well, you learned how."
Aiden nodded. He felt like he learned alot, even though he barely did anything. He looked down at his hands and flicked his wrist, making a flame appear. Aiden just stared at it.
Stacey stared at the flame. "Make it hotter." She said.
Aiden used his other hand and swept it over the flame. It turned a bright blue before turning back to red. The flame was visibly hotter. He held it up to her.
"Put your hand in the flame." She ordered. She looked into his dark eyes. "See if it burns you." She whispered.
Aiden slowly put his hand in the flame, flexing his fingers while the fire engulfed his hand. "I don't get burned by fire. I guess I was just born immune." Aiden said to her quietly as he took his hand out of the fire.
"You have ash on your face." She said, noticing a grey smudge on his cheek.
"Oh" Aiden mumbled, embarrased. He wiped at the side of his face, missing the ash. "Is it gone?"
"Here," Stacey said, lifting her arm and brushing his cheek with her palm. She paused and looked into his dark eyes.
Aiden reached for his face seeing that it wasn't there anymore. He stood still and looked back into her eyes as her hand was still paused on his cheek. He leaned down slowly but only a little bit before he stopped.
Stacey slid her hand away from his face and leaned back so she was a couple feet away from him. "I`m sorry, I can`t." She said in a quiet voice.
Aiden looked down and closed his eyes. "I'm sorry." he said quietly. "That was wrong of me. You probably don't like me anyway." he said, feeling embarrased. His pale cheeks flashed a bright red color. Aiden continued to look down without opening his eyes.
"It`s not that..." She said quietly. "I`m already... already with someone." Her voice was little more than a whisper.
"Its okay..." Aiden said quietly, a hint of sadness was in his voice but he tried not to show it "You don't have to explain anything to me" He closed his eyes tighter, hiding the fact that they were completely black. Aiden remember all the other rejections he had. He breathed in a deep breath.
Stacey looked up at him with sadness in her eyes. "No, I really am sorry. I just... I`ve been through so much lately, and... and it`s not that I don`t like you." She said, her voice trailing off.
"Theres just someone else?" He said, not meaning it as a question but a statement. Aiden opened his eyes finally and looked at her. A little pain showed in them.
Stacey didn`t know what he meant. "I... I don`t understand." She said.
Aiden shook his head. "You don't like me. Theres someone else that you like. And obviously its not me." He said as he balled his hand in a fist. Aiden took another breath.
Stacey was lost for words, she couldn`t think of something to say. "I... that`s not it. But, I do like you, I`m just already going out with someone right now. But I do like you." She said, her voice getting slightly louder and faster.
"Its alright. Its not like i've been through this before." Aiden said looked down at her, his eyes getting slightly more darker. "Whoever the guy is that your with is a lucky guy" he said quietly.
"Aiden," She grabbed his arm. "I really am sorry." She said, looking up into his dark eyes. "Really."
Aiden looked down at Stacey. "Its alright." he said simply. He looked into her eyes. "Don't say sorry. You have nothing to be sorry about..."
Stacey tightened her grip on his arm. "I can tell you`re lying." She said, her voice shaky. "I can see it. You`re hurt. That`s something for me to be sorry about."
Aiden shook his head. "Thats my fault then that I may be hurt. Don't worry about stupid ol' me." he answered his voice lifeless.
Stacey let go of his arm and stepped back, she just looked at him, then she turned and ran. She ran for about a mile, then collapsed at the base of a tree. She didn`t understand.
Aiden watched Stacey leave. He felt was no reason for him to go after her, she rejected hm. It would be pointless. Aiden sat on the ground and stared at the stars. He felt dead.
Stacey put her head in her hands and cried. Nobody ever understood her. Life was just too hard. Niles had left her for some girl in Romania, the she had met Nate. Sweet Nate. Then Aiden. Aiden was sweet too, but what about Nate? She just couldn`t clear her head.
Aiden stood up. He felt a wave of overwhelming grief wash through him. He looked around. He needed to find Stacey. No matter how much pain he felt, it was wrong of him to cause Stacey to feel bad. He still cared for her so it was the least he could to is find her and make sure she was okay. Aiden looked around, pacing very slowly.
Stacey felt a sudden burst of rage and she threw a large wave of fire into the air, making it explode in the night sky.
Aiden felt an explosion in the distance. He followed it until he saw Stacey sitting at the base of a tree. He walked slowly up to her, looking down at his feet. Aiden walked a few paces closer then sat on his knees. He waited to see if she was angry.
Stacey felt Aiden come up to her and she wiped the tears from her eyes. When he kneeled in front of her, she looked up at him, her face still a little wet. "I`m not mad at you." She said in a hoarse whisper.
Aiden looked at her. "I'm sorry..." he said, his voice cracking a little. Aiden frowned slightly. He couldn't think of anything else to say.
"You`ve nothing to be sorry for." She said, shaking her head. "I know what you`ve been through."
Aiden looked at her. "Actually I should. I feel bad for what I did, er- or what I almost did." he said reffering to earlier. "I should've known you liked someone else."
This is the part that made Stacey extremely confused. "Yes, I do like someone else, but I still like you." She said the last part very quietly.
Aiden looked at the ground before looked at her. He paused. "Well, you know that I do too. But its alright if you like the othet guy too." Aiden said quietly.
Stacey sighed and stood up. "But I can only have a relationship with one of you." She said sadly.
Aiden closed his eyes again and nodded. "Its your choice. Pick whoever you really truly care for.." Aiden said. He stood up and walked a few steps and turned the other way. Aiden stared into the forest.
"That`s the problem." She says quietly, "I care about you both. Equally."
"Well, choose whoever loves you more..." Aiden said quietly. he continued to stare into the forest.
Stacey looked at the ground. "How much is that?" She asked quietly, meaning how much he cared for her.
Aiden paused for a moment. "More than anything..." He whispered quietly, he wondered if she heard him.
Stacey looked up and stared a moment at the back of Aiden`s head. Her hand trembled, did she hear him right? She walked up behind him and put a hand on his shoulder, turned him around, and pressed her lips against his.
Aiden turned around and kissed Stacey lightly on the lips. He stopped for a moment and pulled back. "Are you sure?" he whispered, suprised.
Stacey nodded and bit her lip, she wondered what her would say.
Aiden looked deep in her eyes. He put his hand softly underneath her chin and kissed her. Absolutely sure?" he said, whispering. There was a hint of a smile in his voice.
Stacet pressed her lips against his again. "Yes."
Aiden kissed her back softly. He kept one hand underneath her chin. He thought for a moment then leaned back. "What about this other guy?" Aiden asked, looking into her eyes. His eyes turned a darker shade.
"He..." She thought for a moment. "He hasn`t said anything serious to me yet." She said, her eyes turning a darker shade of blue.
Aiden took her hand. He watched as her eyes changed colors. "Do you know if he likes you?" he asked, curious.
Stacey tangled her fingers in his. "Yes. But he hasn`t said anything." Her eyes show bright blue.
Aiden paused for a moment, thinking. "Okay." He said. He squeezed her hand playfully and began to walk some.
Stacey smiled and squeezed his hand back. She didn`t really know what to say now.
Aiden walked around a little before he stopped and looked at her. "What do you want to do?" he asked.
Stacey smiled mischeviuosly. "Have you ever been on the roof?"
"The roof?" Aiden asked. "No I haven't" he said, smiling a little bit too.
Stacey kept her smile as she started to run, pulling Aiden with her. She led him to the base of the school. "Can you get youself up there?" She asked.
Aiden ran beside her, keeping up. He looked up there "I can try." He climbed on the side of the wall and sat on the ledge and looked down at Stacey. "Need help?" Aiden asked, smiling brightly.
"Nope." Stacey held her arm out to the ground and she was lifted off of it. She landed next to Aiden. "I`m still working on my Air powers." She said, standing up. "Can you balance well?"
Wow, nicely done." Aiden said. He stood up. "Balance is my middle name" He replied as he walked around the side of the ledge. Aiden leaned to the side a little bit and caught himself before he fell. "Er- Or maybe not..." he mumbled.
Stacey gigled and turned, balanced perfectly on the eve of the roof, without using magic. "Come on." She said, walking.
((do me a favor and post in Ballet Shoes, its in Ravenclaw i think))
Aiden followed her, walking slower than usual so he wouldn't fall. He wondered where she was going.
(Sure)
((yay! thanks))
Stacey continued until she reached a flat platform. Here she turned on her heel and watched as Aiden made his way along.
Aiden slowly followed her along. He felt embarrased since he had to go so slow. He held on to the side of the ledge and followed her onto the platform.
"You don`t have to be embarrased. I`ve been here years. You just got here." She said to him. "I`ve come up here dozens of times." She added, sitting down on the platform.
Aiden hopped down beside her. "Well this place is amazing" he said, pointing to the view. It was very high up. Aiden looked down at her hand, he hesitated and took it shyly. He held it. "How did you find this place?" he asked quietly.
Stacey`s eyes shot bright blue when he took her hand, but she kept herself from grinning like a fool. "I like to look at the stars. I was out by the lake on night and the roof was blacking my veiw, so I came up here."
Aiden smiled. "Well, the stars look very close from up here" he said. "Wish I had a place like this"
Stacey glanced down at their hands. "Now you do." She whispered.
Aiden smiled and looked at her. He leaned in and kissed her lightly on the lips. Aiden pulled back. "Thanks" he whispered.
Stacey paused for a moment, then lightly brshed the side of his face with her palm. She leaned closed to him and her lips met his.
Aiden kissed her back lightly and ran one hand threw her hair. He drew in a short breath and smiled shortly.
Stacey smiled back and held his hand a little tighter.
Aiden squeezed her hand a looked into her eyes, still smiling.
"What?" She asked, feeling thats she knew his answer.
"Nothing" Aiden said, shaking his head. "I just can't help but smile when I look at you" he told her quietly.
She squeezed his hand. "I can`t help but think of fire whenever I look in your eyes." She said, meaning it as a compliment.
Aiden blinked and made his eyes darker. "I guess in a way they resemble fire" he said, looking down at their hands together.
Stacey looked down at their hands, too. "What do you think of me?" She asked quietly. "Like, what do I resemble? Or something like that."
"What do you resemble?" Aiden thought for a moment and continued to look at their hands. "I don't even know where to begin. First thing I think of for you are stars. And you know how I like stars" he told her.
Stacey smiled and rubbed the back of his hand with her thumb. "You know how I like stars, too." She paused for a moment. "What else?"
Aiden looked at her and squeezed her hand. "Think of the most beautiful thing you can imagine. The first thing that comes to your mind. Like the most perfect, prettiest flower in the world. Your like a bright light that never stops shining..." he told her quietly.
((lol, i cant imagine the dude in the pic saying that))
Stacey started to blush. "But when I do that, I think of you." She said quietly.
(lmao =P)
Aiden smiled "Thanks" he said, equally as quiet.
Stacey put her hand on his shoulder and whispered in his ear. "You are the North Star in the night sky. The moon that rises." She said as a complement.
Aiden looked at her. "Well, that doesn't sound so bad" he said quietly "Your every star in the sky...". A smile appeared on the edges of his lips. He put his arm around her and held her close, almost hugging her.
"But how can I be every star when you are the sky?" She asked, running out of things to say.
Aiden paused for a moment before he spoke. "Your my star. Well, only if you want to be" he told her quietly.
Stacey kissed his cheek. "And you can be my moon."
Aiden smiled a small bit. "That sounds about right to me" he whispered. His usually dark eyes got a little lighter, if only for a moment.
Stacey saw the color change. "What could I do to make your eyes stay light?"
Aiden blinked, unaware his eye color had changed. "I'm not sure how they change. I suppose certain things make them do that. So how about you tell me?" he asked, looking at her.
This time, Stacey kissed his lips. She held hers against his for a long moment.
Aiden carefully put one hand under her chin and kissed her back slowly.
Stacey raised her hand to Aiden`s cheek. She kept her lips on his. She opened her eyes to see if his had become lighter.
Aiden kissed her and and ran his other hand through Stacey's hair. He could tell that she opened her eyes. Aiden opened his as well and his eyes were a bright gold color.
Sacey smiled while still kissing Aiden. His eyes were magnificent. She raised her other hand to her chin, where she took his hand.
Aiden smiled and kissed her back slowly. He squeezed her hand and rubbed his thumb slowly over her palm.
She tangled her fingers in his, her hands were slightly cold, his were warm.
Aiden gave her a soft kiss on the cheek and pulled back. "Did that do the trick?" he asked as he held her cold hand.
Stacey put her other hand on top of Aiden`s. "What trick?" She asked.
"My eyes" Aiden replied simply "Are they brighter?". He held her hand. He looked down and wondered why it was so cold. Aiden held it tighter.
Stacey smiled. "They`re amazing, but I didn`t do it."
"Well I sure didn't. Or not on purpose at least. So if you didn't do it. Who did?" Aiden said as a small hint of a smile showed on the edges of his pale cheeks.
Stacey learned to look for his smaller smiles, so it made her smile to see him smile. "You did, duh." She said funnily.
Aiden shook his head and laughed quietly, feeling dumb. "Well, what I meant is that I know I did, but you're the one who made me."
Stacey laughed quietly. "Of course, you say it`s all my doing."
"Well...it is your fault. I'm not going to lie about it." He said to her as he continued to laugh.
Stacey continued to smile. She leaned over and kissed his cheek. "That`s to make sure they stay gold."
Aiden's eyes stayed the same bright gold color as they were earlier. "Don't worry. They will when you're around" he whispered to Stacey. He rubbed his thumb over the back of her hand again.
Stacey smiled and looked down at her hand as he rubbed it. She wanted to say something meaningful, but didn`t know what.
Aiden looked into Stacey's eyes. He sat there, thinking to himself.
"I love you." Stacey suddenly whispered.
Aiden blinked and looked at her. "I love you too. More than anything" he replied quietly. He held her closer to him.
Stacey squeezed his hand and rested her head on his shoulder. Tears had sprung to her blue eyes. "You don`t know what you`ve done for me." She whispered.
Aiden put his other arm around her shoulder as she rested her head on him. "What do you mean?" he asked quietly, looking down at Stacey.
Stacey held back the tears. "It`s just, you`ve taught me things, things I didn`t know I was able to learn. You understand me."
Aiden put one hand on her cheek and lifted her head so she could look at him. "I don't see how. I'm nothing special.." he told her. He saw that she was fighting back tears.
"You are to me." She whispered, looking into his eyes.
He looked back into her eyes. "You are my everything" Aiden whispered very quietly. The moon's dim light reflected on his pale face, showing a small but serious smile beginning to appear.
Stacey smiled, he always said the nicest things, but that left her to think of something better to say. "I would do anything for you." She whispered back.
Aiden looked at Stacey. "I know" he whispered back. He kissed her softly.
Stacey kissed him back then sighed softly. She brushed her fingers through his hair.
Aiden flipped his hair out of his eyes and smiled slightly to the side. He looked down at their hands that were still intertwined together.
Stacey let go of his hand so she could look at her palm. There were still burn marks on her hand from healing his shoulder. There were two dark lines that crossed over her whole hand.
Aiden looked at her hand as well. He knew what the burns were from. "I'm really sorry about that"
Stacey looked up at him."That was my fault. I know my healing powers aren`t that good. I knew something would happen to me in return for doing something like that."
He frowned slightly. "Yeah but I'm not worth those burns on your hands. I would've been okay eventually."
Stacey gently touched his cheek with her fingertips. "You`re worth it to me."
Aiden smiled a little, his eyes turning a lighter color. He reached up and touched her hand that was on his face. He couldn't really think of anything meaningful to say at the moment.
Stacey smiled. She didn`t say anything, but looked up at the stars that so resembled Aiden in her eyes.
Aiden followed her gaze to the stars. He took in a deep breath and leaned back against the side of the roof he was already sitting against.
((They`re on the roof))
Stacey rubbed his palm with her thumb. A song found its way into her head, so she started to hum its slow tune.
Aiden recognized the song she hummed. He didn't know it very well but he found the tune familiar. He listened to her in silence.
Stacey continued to hum until another thought came into her head. "You still don`t know my best power yet, do you?" She asked with a mischevious smile forming on her face.
Aiden straightened up and looked at Stacey. "You bet I do" he said with some excitement.
Stacey crossed her arms in mock defiancy. "Oh yea, then what is it?"
Aiden chuckled and smiled. He was going to think of something clever to say but nothing came to his mind. "Nah, I really don't. Go ahead and tell me"
"Well, it`s not really that cool. But if I`m close to a person, I can use their powers. I mean... I`m not taking their power, I just have access to it. Like, it I couldn`t control fire, and I poked you, then I could use fire to the same extent as you can." She said. "It`s like I had the power in the first place."
"Wow" He said, clearly impressed "I bet thats useful. So lets just say I had the powers to read minds. You would be able to read minds too?" Aiden leaned foward so he could lay his elbows on his knees.
Stacey nodded. "Yea, but I know you can`t, otherwise I could read your mind right now."
"Well, maybe I can. I just have the ability to not give it to you. Lets see...I know what your thinking at this exact moment" Aiden said with a playful smile.
Stacey smiled. "Oh really?"
Aiden nodded. "Oh really. Hmm...at this moment your thinking that I'm the biggest loser and you can't believe your sitting here with me" he said as he chuckled. Aiden frowned and pretended to be offended.
Stacey raised an eyebrow. "Wow, you are really bad at your so called power." She said sarcastically.
"Oh no I'm very good at it. You just don't want to admit it." Aiden said as he winked at her playfully.
Stacey held back a giggle. "If I thought you were soo weird, would I do this?" She asked, then kissed him gently.
Aiden ran his hand though Stacey's light brown hair as he kissed her. He pulled back so he could speak. "Hmm..good point" he said, nodding as he smiled slightly.
Stacey smiled and leaned back. She gave a contented sigh, looking back up at the stars.
Aiden looked up at the moon. "Do you think any teachers are up this late?" he asked as he guessed what time it was.
Stacey thought for a moment. "Mabey Ginny. But I`ve been up here hundreds of times." She looked back at him. "If you want to go to bed, you can."
He looked back at her. "Nope. I only sleep for a few hours at most so I'm not tired." Aiden paused. "Unless your tired?" He asked. He moved his hair out of his eyes.
"No, I`m fine." She leaned back and held her weight on her hands. Her eyes turned purple. "What do you like to do in your spare time?" She asked.
Aiden tilted his head as he looked at Stacey's eyes change color. After a few short moments passed he replied "I really like to play guitar. Or write songs. I used to be in a band you know"
Stacey nodded and she made her eyes change to orange. "I play trumpet."
Aiden watched her eyes again. "Nice. Hmm..lets see...trumpet, ballet" he said as he counted with his fingers "What else can you do?" He was clearly more interested in listening to her than talking about himself. Aiden hated talking about himself, he felt like it bored people.
Stacey smiled and made her eyes change to green. "I sing." She said shyly; she had often hid her voice.
"You do? I've never heard you." Aiden said, continuing to look at her eyes changing colors.
Stacey looked down and started to blush; her eyes changed to pink, but she wasn`t the one who made them change. "I know, no one has."
Aiden smiled. He could tell she was embarrassed about singing. "When your eyes turn pink, what does that mean?" he asked.
She kept her head down. "They`re pink when I blush."
"Ah" He paused. "Am I making you blush?" Aiden asked with a mischevious smile. He now better understood the connection between her emotions and her eye color.
Stacey looked up at him and smiled, her eyes still pink. "No, the fact of my singing is." She paused, then sang in a nervous but clear voice. "Memory, all alone in the moonlight, has the moon lost her memory? She is smiling alone. In the lamplight with withered leaves collect at my feet. And the wind begins to moan." She stopped, still blushing.
Aiden listened to her. After she stopped he looked at her. "No reason to be embarrased. I like your voice" he said in encouragement.
Stacey gave an embarrassed smile. "Do you sing?" She asked, knowing he had been in a band.
Aiden chuckled. "Well, lets just say that I did the screaming for the band. And guitar too. So I didn't sing" He answered.
Stacey smiled. "Do you still have any of the cd`s?" She asked.
Aiden nodded. "Yes. Its only a demo though. Its in my suitcase" he replied, turning his head to the school.
Stacey squeezed his hand, looking off into the distance. The edge of the sky had begun t lighten. "It`s almost morning." She looked back at him. "Meet me at the Three Broomsticks tommorrow at six?"
Aiden nodded with a short smile. "Sure" he answered. He forgot about the time so he didn't realize they had been out so late.
Stacey squeezed his hand for a moment, then stood up. "Bring your cd, ok?" She asked, then disappered, transporting herself directly into the girls` dormitories.
"Sure" Aiden answered right as she disappeared. He slowly began to walk back to school.
(Do you want another topic or just this one?)
((Nope))
The next day, Stacey got dug around in her trunk, trying to find something to wear. She found a black hoodie with the words "I`m with the Band." written on the front of it in white cursive. She decided it would have to do. She found some dark-wash jeans. She put them on and made her way to the Three Broomsticks.
Aiden waited outside of the Three Broomsticks. He decided to wear something at least closely more decent than what he usually wears. He wore a striped long sleeved shirt, that was buttoned up. He had only wore it a few other times, however it was still casual wear. Aiden had his hands behind his back, one of them held a plain white CD case. He sighed as he noticed he was kinda early.
Stacey came walking up to Aiden and suddenly felt underdressed; she was glad she had brought a light pink button up short. "Hi." She said quietly and smiling.
Aiden looked at Stacey and smiled. "Hey" he greeted her. He glanced at Stacey's outfit. "You look great" he complimented her.
Stacey pulled of her hoodie and her pink blouse was under it. "I`m glad I brought this." She said indicating the pink shirt.
Aiden watched her. "You look good in anything" he told her. He looked at the door to the Three Broomsticks. "Ready to go in?"
"Yep." She said as she stepped closer to him and the door.
Aiden opened the door for her and held his hand out for her to go in.
Stacey smiled and walked into the restraunt. She sank into a both and stared at Aiden.
Aiden sat down and folded his hands together. He looked at Stacey. "So what all did you do after you went back to school?" He asked her casually.
Stacey smiled and figeted. "School stuff."
Aiden nodded and glanced at the waitor that was coming their way. "Can I buy you anything to eat or drink?" Aiden asked, gesturing his hand towards the waitor with a smile.
"Oh, no," Stacey protested. "I asked you here, I`ll pay." she said as the waiter got closer to the table.
Aiden smiled mischeviously. "No, no. I'm paying" He objected. He took out a few folded bills from his pocket.
Stacey rolled her eyes and smiled. "If you will just protest against me, fine, but I owe you then." The waiter came up to their table.
Aiden smiled and then nodded in agreement. "I guess that will have to work"
The waiter stopped by their table. "What may I get you two tonight?" he asked them both formally, standing in front of their table.
"Only a butterbeer for me" Aiden answered him.
"And you miss?" The waiter asked, turning towards Stacey.
"Same." She replied. She took out an evelope and handed it to the waiter, who walked back tot the kitchen. She smiled at Aiden.
Aiden frownd and shook his head. "Sneaky.... I guess I owe you now" he said in defeat.
Stacey smiled. "You don`t even know what it was." She said. "Besides, I should be the one that pays out of common curtesy."
"Yes I do. But I was raised to be a gentleman. So I would like to pay. No matter the cost." Aiden said, he folded the bills back up and put them into his pocket, continuing to shake his head. "So how should I owe you?" He asked.
Stacey smiled mischeviously. "I`ll have to think about that."
"Nothing too bad I hope" Aiden said, winking at her. At that moment the waiter arrived with their drinks. Aiden picked up his and took a long sip out of it. He slyly handed the waiter a tip from under the table. Then the waiter disappeared.
Stacey smiled and took her drink. "I saw that." She said. She opened the bottle and took a small sip.
Aiden faked a frown. "d**n. I was hoping you wouldn't catch that" He said as he put both his hands on the table.
The smile stayed. "I guess we`re even then." She said, just as the waiter brought two covered trays to the table. He set one in front of Aiden and one in front of Stacey. Stacey waited for Aiden to uncover his dish.
No. We aren't even close." Aiden said with a mischevious smile. He looked down at the dish and unvocovered it. "Wow, you didn't order me something did you? Now were definatly not even" He said.
((You can pick what it is))
"Yep. MY treat." She insisted. She uncovered her dish, it was chicken alfredo.
(Okay. I like spagetti so it'l be that lol)
Aiden looked down at his dish. It was spagetti, one of his favorite meals. "Nice. How did you know I like spagetti?" He asked, picking up his fork.
"The waiter could read minds. I read your and told him what I wanted to get you." She shrugged. "Doesn`t matter, eat up." She said, picking up her fork.
Aiden smiled and took a bite, racing it down with his butterbeer. After he finished he murmered "I wish I could read minds. It seems much more...conveniant." Aiden took another bite
stacey took a few bites before she replied. "Not really. It can be an invasion of privacy."
Aiden took another drink of his butterbeer. "Yeah, I guess you right about that. But I guess you could say only controlling fire gets old after awhile" he sighed. He took few more bites.
Stacey nodded. "I guess my other power is pretty cool."
"I think so" Aiden said, meaning all of her powers.
Stacey took a few bites. "You just say that."
He shook his head. "Nonsense. I really think so. Imagine having the same power since you were 5. It gets very old." Aiden pointed out, referring to his childhood.
Stacey nodded, chewing. "True. But it`s the same deal with my powers."
Aiden took another drink, almost finishing his butterbeer. "Yes but only two powers like I have is different than having all of yours"
"I only have three powers. Fire. My eyes. And the one about controling other people`s powers. I only recently gotten the first and last two." She took a long drink of her butterbeer.
Aiden nodded. "I only have fire...but I'm also an animagus. However, I rarely ever use it" he said quietly. He took one last bite, finishing his meal.
Stacey finished her food too. "I forgot about my animagus. I haven`t used it in a long time. What is your animagus?"
"My animagus is a dog" He answered simply. "I really don't like using it." Aiden took one last sip of his drink.
Stacey drank a fourth of her drink, still leaving a fourth in the bottle. "What kind of dog?"
Aiden thought for a moment "Almost like a wolf. I could show you sometime" he said quietly, leaning closer to the table.
Stacey nodded. "My dad wad a wolf animagus."
He tilted his head sightly "You haven't told me much about your parents. What were they like?"
Stacey looked down at the table. "They fight a lot. My mom is a Muggle."
"Oh..I'm sorry." Aiden mumbled. He paused and looked at Stacey "What about your dad?"
Stacey drew in a sharp breath. "He`s a wizard, obviously." She didn`t really know what else to say.
Aiden nodded, understanding that she didn't know what to say. "Oh okay" he answered.
Stacey picked up her bottle and finished off her butterbeer. She remembered that Aiden had brought a cd. "Hey, do you mind if I listen to a couple songs?" She asked, pulling out a small cd player from her bag.
Aiden nodded. "Sure" He suddenly flashed a brilliant smile at Stacey. "It may not be your taste of music, but I do hope you like it" He layed both of his hands on the table. The waitor came and took the items they were finished with and left without a word. Aiden watched her as she took the CD player out.
Stacey found herself smiling at the sight of Aiden`s large smile. "Do you have the cd?" She asked, not seeing the disk on the table.
Aiden chuckled. "Here" he said. He picked up the CD that had a plain white case and handed it to her. On the case it Stacey's Demo. "I almost forgot it. I was lucky I remembered" Aiden pointed out with another low chuckle.
Stacey smiled when she saw what the case said. She pooped the disk intot the player and put the ear buds in. She listened to two and a half songs, then her face fell. She stopped the music and removed the headphones. "That song is sad." She said quietly.
Aiden noticed her expression. "Yeah, some of them are. I had a few bad years I guess you could say....Well, before I came to Hogwarts that is. I guess it shows, huh?" He replied as his face hardend.
Stacey looked down at the table. "I mean... it was really sad. It had so much pain and sorrow just seeping out of the words." She said.
Aiden frowned. "Yeah. It really shows" He sighed "I must've not noticed that much. Most of those songs I wrote the lyrics for anyway. Thats probably why they are like that." Aiden folded his arms against his chest.
"No.. I mean, I really like the songs, it just.... brought back memories I tried to forget." She said, saying the last few words very quietly.
Aiden looked at Stacey and slowly reached for the CD player. "I'm sorry. Like what?" he asked, hoping she wouldn't be offended in him asking.
Stacey closed her eyes. "Niles." She whispered.
"Ah" He said in understanding. Aiden nodded and picked up the CD player and took out the CD. He put it back in the plain white case. "You want to keep it, or should I?"
Stacey looked up at him. "I you don`t mind, I would like to keep it." She said, touching his hand. "The other songs bring back good memories."
Aiden nodded. "No, I don't mind at all. Here." He said, handing her the CD case.
"Thank you." Stacey said, taking the cd with one hand and gently taking Aiden`s hand with the other.
Aiden wrapped both of his hands over her hand. "I love you" He whispered suddenly "I'm sorry about the bad memories it brought you." His gazed turned toward the CD.
Stacey looked at him kindly. "I love you too." She replied. "And don`t worry about my memories, they will go away." She added.
Aiden back at Stacey sincerely. "You can replace them with new ones, better ones."
Stacey gave a small smile. "I know I will."
Aiden gave her an answering smile back. "I can help, if you want...?" he added.
Stacey squeezed his hand. "You already have."
((Have you read "Twilight" by Stephanie Meyer?))
(Yeah I have)
Aiden flashed her a brilliant smile and squeezed her hand with both of his. "They're good I hope."
((Awesome book.))
Stacey nodded. "Of course."
"Thats good. I was hoping they were" Aiden said cheerfully.
(Yeah I know, theyre great)
Stacey let out a small laugh. "They kinda have to be good memories, they`re about you."
"Well, all of mine are good memories about you too" Aiden said. He squeezed her hand.
Stacey smiled and leaned on the table more, a little closer to Aiden. "Duh." She said stupidly.
Aiden chuckled and automatically leaned closer as well. "I guess theres no harm in saying so" he said with a playful smile.
Stacey smiled and looked down at the table, dragging her finger over random designs in the wood. "What do you think of me?" She asked. "Besides how much you love me." She added. Stacey kept her voice light and casual.
Aiden looked at her and raised one eyebrow questioningly. He wondered what brought on her question. "That would be very hard to answer...because there are no words to explain you" He answered simply, keeping his voice low.
Stacey`s smile got bigger. "You have a way with words." She said sarcastically. "Really, do your best." She said, glancing up at him with intociating eyes.
Aiden grinned widely and looked into her eyes. He folded his hands together. "This is like trying to explain what water tastes like" he said before pausing to think. "I think your perfect, and in a way...you complete me." He whispered, hoping she wouldn't think it was a weird thing to say.
Stacey`s eyes shot bright blue. She ran her finger over his hand. She started to blush, despite herself; she felt very light that Aiden thought of her that way.
Aiden caught her finger and wrapped his hand around hers. He looked at her eyes as they changed. "You don't think its weird that I think that do you?" He asked.
"No," She answered quickly, "I think the same and more." She said in a low whisper.
Aiden rubbed his hand over Stacey's. "I don't see how someone could more" He pointed out to her after, what seemed like, a long minute passed.
Stacey had to let out a small laugh. "What I meant was I think you complete me and more. You make me happy." She said, blushing at the last part.
Aiden noticed her blush. "Don't be embarrassed" he said, squeezing her hand. He placed his other hand over hers as well.
Stacey looked into his eyes. "I`m not. I blushed beacause that was such a small thing to say compared to how you make me feel." She explained.
Aiden smiled and nodded. "Like I said, I can't even explain how you make me feel" He answered, emphazing the word me.
Stacey smiled even bigger. "I get it now." She said, trying to lighten the mood. "Ask me anything you want." She said brightly.
Aiden thought for a moment. "What did you think when you first met me?" he asked.
Stacey thought of what her reply would be. "Well, I thought you seemed nice enough, somewhat kept to yourself, uhm... and shy. You seemed shy." She concluded.
Aiden nodded. "I can understand that. I can be quite shy...or quiet if you will, if I don't really know someone very well." He shrugged.
Stacey pondered for a moment. "What did you think of me?" She asked, truely curious.
Aiden looked into Stacey's eyes. "Once we got to know each other...I noticed we had alot in common" He told her.
Stacey shook her head. "No, when you first saw me."
Aiden paused to think. "Well, to state exactly what I thought..." He paused again "I was thinking what on earth was the pretty girl doing by herself in the forest." He said. He gave her an embarrassed smile.
Stacey squeezed his hand. "I guess you`ve figured out by now that I`m not just a pretty face."
Aiden rubbed her hand. "Definatly more" He agreed.
Stacey smiled sweetly and her eyes turned a lighter shade of blue. "Definatly." She repeated.
Aiden smiled at her eyes. "Thats one of my favorite things about you" He said quietly "Your eyes."
Stacey smiled; for once, she wasn`t bothered that someone complemented her eyes. Normally she automatically thought they were just trying to please her. She started to blush and her eyes turned light pink.
His smile widened as her eyes turned pink. Aiden put her hand on her cheek. "That's exactly why" he said, referring to them changing.
Stacey kept blushing as she took his hand from her cheek. She still didn`t understand why he liked her eyes so much.
Aiden smiled and looked at the now empty restaurant. "Want to get out of here?" he asked. "I think its about to close"
Stacey looked aroung, having forgotten thay where in a restaurant, on a date. "Sure." she stood up and waited for Aiden to follow.
Aiden stood up and opened his hand for her to hold. "Where do you want to go?" He asked. Aiden led them out of the door.
Stacey took Aiden`s hand and followed him outside. "I don`t know. Whare do you want to go?"
Aiden held Stacey's hand and walked through, the now empty, Hogsmead. "If your tired, I can take you back to the school" He told her.
"I am not tired." Stacey insisted truthfully.
He led them to where the school was. "Okay, but lets at least head that way. Its going to take awhile to get there"
"To get where?" She asked.
Back to school. We should at least head that way." Aiden answered her, as they walked.
Stacey sighed. "This was fun."
Aiden nodded in agreement. "Yeah it was" He decided. He suddenly wrapped Stacey in a one armed hug as they walked. "Thanks for going with me" Aiden said with a crooked smile.
Stacey smiled. "Any time. How about next week?"
Aiden nodded. "That sounds great" He agreed. "Same place?"
Stacey shrugged. "Wherever you want to go."
"I have an idea" Aiden said with a smile.
Stacey looked at Aiden sideways. "And waht`s that?" She asked.
He smiled widely. "I can't tell you. But meet me by the lake, next week. How about Saturday at 4?" Aiden suggested.
Stacey nodded. "I`ll see you there." And with that, she disappeared.
Aiden watched her dissappear. He slowly walked back to school by himself slowly.
**Saturday at 4**
Stacey walked out to the lake. She wasn`t sure what Aiden had planned for the day, so she wore nice jeans and a dressy top. She had a sweatshirt in her bag in case she needed it.
Aiden sat on a rock at the lake. He had a blanket spread out a and a few drinks with a glass. He wore a black button up shirt that was longsleeved. He sat patiently waiting for Stacey.
Stacey approached Aiden. "What`s all this?" She asked when she saw the setup.
Aiden looked at her. "I just thought I'd do something special for you...." He paused "You don't like it?" He stood up.
"No." Stacey said, sitting on the blanket. "It`s great." She added, not meaning to sound disappointed before.
Aiden sighed in relief. He scratched his neck nervously as he sat down with Stacey. He poured her a drink and passed it to her. "Drink?" Aiden offered.
Stacey smiled as she accepted the drink. She took a small sip before she spoke. "so what do you have planned?" She asked.
Aiden looked at Stacey. "I made some dinner, then I hoped we could take a walk on the shore." He replied. He directed his hand to some dinner plates.
Stacey`s eyes lightened and she nodded. "Sounds good to me." She agrred.
Aiden took a drink of his drink. He took out a plate and passed it to her with a large smile. "Hope you like it."
Stacey took the plate with a smile. ((BTW, what is it?)) "It looks great." She said, looking down at the food. "Did you make it yourself?"
(I dunno...whatever you want it to be I guess)
Aiden looked down embarrassed. "Yeah...I can't really say I'm the best cook" He answered, smugly. He picked up his plate and set it down.
Stacey grinned mischeviously. "I`m sure it`s better that the way I cook."
Aiden looked at Stacey. "I doubt that." He protested playfully.
Stacey took a bite of the food. "Mmm." She exclaimed. "This is really good." She said truthfully.
Aiden narrowed his eyes, suspiciously. He then shrugged his shoulders, and smiled. "Thanks" He said after taking a bite of his food.
Stacey smiled sweetly and took another bite.
Aiden smiled back at her. He took another bit of his food and drank his drink. "So, how was your week?" Aiden asked, curious.
Stacey shrugged. "I don`t know. Nothing really. Besides last tight."
Aiden tilted his head to the side, something he always did when he was curious. "What happened?" He asked, quietly. He took another drink.
Stacey gave Aiden a stupid look. "Uh, we went on a date!"
(I thought that was last week?)
((Uhm, well, oh well!))
