The common room was dark. It couldn't have been any later than 3 AM. Sky found herself sitting quietly in front of the fireplace, her knees pulled up to her chest. The fire warmed her skin as her red flannel pajama pants and black t-shirt weren't so warm. The fire reflected in her gray eyes, dancing. She couldn't sleep. She had tossed and turned from the moment she went to bed. She had only an hours worth of sleep. She could live off it.
She sighed deeply, but quietly, careful not to wake the sleeping students from their slumber. She put one of her arms on the ground and gently ran it across the smooth crimson red carpet of the room, it's texture rough on her fingers. She heard a sound...the creaking of the fat lady painting opening. Sky stayed silent, curious to see who was there.
Jackie was sneaking out into the common room, to hunt. She slipped downstairs silently and almost fell over backwards when she saw Sky. "Um.. Hi?" She said smiling slightly, then she was over by Sky in the next second. "You're awake?"
(Mind if I join?)
((Go ahead ^^))
Sky simply nodded, still watching the fire. "Very." She mumbled.
"Hm... may I inquire as to why that might be?" Jackie asked sitting on the ground and curling her knees to her chest. A very child like posture it was, but it was comfortable and comforting.
(Sweet)
Aiden entered the common room just comming back from a walk outside since he couldn't sleep. He looked and saw Sky and Jackie hanging by the fire. "Uh...hey..." Aiden mumbled embarrased since he wasn't supposed to be out this late.
Sky shrugged. "Just couldn't." She said, mumbling again. She looked at Aiden. "Hi." Sky said. She finally let her legs down. "Ugh...I hate it when I can't sleep." She jumped up suddenly. "Let's go outside."
Aiden nodded. "Sounds good to me" he said. He walked backwards right out the door he came from. "So why couldn't y'all sleep?" he asked them casually.
Sky followed him to the door. "I was just thinking about things. Plus...this is the best time of night. When everything is quiet. I love it." She said, still quiet.
Aiden looked at her. "I agree. I prefer the quiet and that darkness of the night compared to the day." he agreed. They continued to walk around. "Where to?" Aiden asked.
Jackie easliy kept pace (way to wait for me) them and when she went outside she realized the reason she had come out here, hunting, thirst. She looked at Sky, her eyes black. "I-I'll be back after a couple minutes." She stammered out before inhaling their blood, her throat burning.
Then she sprinted into the woods at top speed which would be just a shadow to human eyes.
Aiden saw Jackie leave. She seemed extremely anxious and worried about something. He watched her run towards the woods with a curious expression on his face.
Sky shrugged. "Wherever you want, I just need some fresh air." She looked up at the clouds.
"I'm really sorry. I'm such a crank butt tonight..today...whatever." Then Jackie came along, her eyes black. As she ran off, Sky looked over at Aiden.
"I've seen that expression many times. I believe I know what she is after, but I don't know for certain." Sky said to Aiden as they walked.
Aiden looked at her questionably. He kept his pace to match hers as they walked out of Hogwarts into the cold, dark air outside. "After? Whats your theory that...she is?" he asked, clearly confused. The moon was high in the sky, showing that it was clearly close to midnight.
"Blood." Sky said quietly. "I can see it in her eyes..how she acted with us. She'll be back shortly."
Bucky was in the forest as he was walking back to the commonroom he sore Jakie glaring her teeth at him when he remembered she was a werewolf thing so he ran chased by Jakie

"Blood." Sky said quietly. "I can see it in her eyes..how she acted with us. She'll be back shortly."
Aiden looked at her then the ground. "Ahh...so shes a vampire?" Aiden said, not meaning it as a question. He paused for a moment "Sounds like it would be tough to be one" he said quietly as he continued to walk again. Aiden leaned against a tree, sitting down as he rested his head against it's trunk.
"Yes. I suppose it would." Sky said, looking back toward the forest. Getting blood could be a difficult task. She looked at Aiden in the darkness. "Mind if I sit with you?" She asked him with a small smile not really visible during this time of night.
Aiden looked at Sky, not quite catching her smile. He nodded. "Of course." Aiden replied. He scooted over a little so she would have room to sit as well.
"Thanks." She said and slowly sat down beside him. She traced her index finger in the dirt by the tree, making a face. She could only imagine how it would look when the sun rose. "So, how are you?" She asked after a moment.
Aiden watched Sky trace the face into the dirt. "I'm great. This is better than walking alone outside, which is what I usually do this time of night." he said. He pressed his lips into a hard line and took a breath. "How are you?" Aiden asked quietly.
"Oh, I've had better nights, but I'm not too bad." She said with another small smile. "I agree. I don't care to be alone all that often. Much better to have someone to accompany you."
Aiden nodded in agreement. "Thats true." He laid his arms on his knees. "Its not as lonely, and you have someone to talk to..." Aiden pointed out with a hint of a smile forming at the edges of his pale lips.
Sky looked at him. "Though sometimes I'm used to being lonely.." She said in almost a whisper. She wrapped her arms around her and laid back in the grass to star up at the stars.
Aiden glanced at her. "I'm sorry" he said apologetically. "Sometimes, I can be pretty lonely myself...but I don't mind all that much" he told Sky. Aiden ran his fingers of the studs on his wristband.
"Don't be sorry. It's not your fault." Sky said quietly, closing her eyes. "It's not always bad. Sometimes...you just need to be alone. To think." The stars were mesmerizing. Dozens in every little area, making all sorts of shapes and lines. They were really bright tonight. Really pretty.
"Exactly. We all need time for ourself" Aiden agreed quietly. He followed her gaze to the stars before looking back at her. "What do you want to do?" he asked.
"What would you like to do?" Sky asked him with a smile. "I'm up for anything."
((I got to go. I may be back later. I'm not sure. :P))
Aiden thought for a moment and stood up. "I dunno...lets see" he said, smiling also. He reached his hand out to help her up.
(Okay bye)
Sky gratefully took his hand and stood up. She grinned. "What can we possibly do at three AM without getting caught?" She asked, curious.
"Hmmm...good question" He replied. Aiden put his hand under his chin and pretended to be in deep thought. "I dunno...any suggestions?"
Jackie appeared out of seemingly no where and her eyes were a normal blue again. She looked much more content. "How about getting a piggy back ride, on the back of a vampire, going at least 40 mph?" She suggested smiling at the thought.
"Sounds fun but I mite be a little to heavy I can give you a piggyback ride"
"You can't possibly carry three people on your back." Sky said, looking at her. "We're pretty big." Her eyes traveled to the castle. A light had flipped on in one of the teachers' offices. "But we should probably get out of here because someone is coming outside."
Aiden followed Sky's gaze to the castle. "Your right. Lets get out of here" he said as he began to walk towards the forest.
Sky followed him, glancing back at the castle. She didn't know for sure if somebody were coming, but it would be better to get away than to get caught. "So what year are you in?" Sky asked quietly, putting her hands in her pockets.
Aiden looked back at Sky and slowed down to keep his pace the same as hers. "I'm a seventh year." Aiden replied quietly. He took a swift glance back at the castle. "What about you?"
"I'm a seventh year also." Sky replied, no longer worried about getting caught. They were at a safe distance now.
Aiden nodded and looked away from the castle. "Okay. So now that we are safe" he said with a mischevious smile "What do you want to do?"
"Maybe practise our powers"Bucky optioned "anyway I'm a fourth year"
Jackie looked at them. "Third year." Jackie said nonchalantly. "Oh, Yeah, I'll pass." She replied quickly then, referring to Bucky's suggestion. Even though she was the youngest, she was probably the most dangerous thing here. "I don't want to hurt anyone..." She said.
"Jakie do you persses many powers"said Bucky
"Maybe we could climb some trees?" Sky asked, staring at a very large cluster of trees. She couldn't really think of anything to do.
"yer AWSOME" said Bucky

"Jakie do you persses many powers"said Bucky
A soft laugh escaped Jackie's lips, sounding somewhat like a windchime. "It depends on what you mean by 'many'." She replied. "I could be considered a lethal weapon. But that would depend on what exactly 'weapon' is referring to." Jackie added smiling and flashing her sharp, teeth.
"Climb trees?" He repeated the suggestion aloud. Aiden looked up at one of the massively large trees that towered above the four of them. He put his hand on the bark of one of them. It seemed like a random idea. "Why not?" Aiden held onto a low hanging branch and sat on it, looking down at the others. He flashed a brilliant smile.
"Fun!" Jackie giggled. She bent her knees and crouched down, then she sprang about six feet in the air landing on the first branch of a highed up tree. "These branches are farther apart, but its taller. Does anyone wanna come on this one?" Jackie questioned holding out her hand.
"Sure" Aiden said as he carefully balanced himself on the branch. He swiftly grabbed her hand and lifted himself up on the banch. He sat down easily beside her and swung his leg back and forth as they daggled down. Aiden smiled and looked down at the others.
Sky looked up at a large oak tree, running her hand across it's large trunk. Within seconds, she was up several feet. She always was very agile. Very quick. She sat along a long, thin branch and looked up at the moon. She smiled and ran a hand through her thick black hair.
Aiden watched Sky climb up the tree very quickly. He smiled a mishevious smile and climbed up on a higher branch, higher than the others.
Ooh. Show off. Sky thought with a smirk. She pulled herself up onto another branch, a tad thinner but not breakable unless she jumped on it. She looked at the tree where Aiden stood.
Aiden chuckled and looked at one of the higher branches. He grabbed onto it. He had to jump to get up to it, but he did so with ease. Aiden looked at Sky "Hope your not afraid of heights" he teased and winked at her playfully. Aiden balanced on the branch, careful not to do any sudden movements.
Sky laughed. "Sky Mason is not afraid of heights." She said with pride. She climbed up a few higher branches, each getting thinner as she got higher. Suddenly, as she put her foot on the branch, it snapped! She fell on the previous branches, each snapping under her weight until she caught herself on a thick one. She looked up in a moment of silence and then burst into a sudden fit of laughter.
Aiden looked at her as she fell. He quickly jumped to the tree she was on, which was right next to his. He was careful not to step on any of the stapped branches. He accidently cut his arm on one of the stapped branches. "F*ck! Are you okay?!" Aiden asked anxiously as his eyes turned a dark black color. However, his question quickly was answered as she laughed.
Sky jumped up next to Aiden and looked over his arm. "Oh my gosh!" She exclaimed at the cut. It looked pretty deep for being cut by a branch. "Here." She took out her wand and gently tapped it on Aiden's cut. "Sorry if it stings." She said. Then she muttered a simple spell to heal the wound.
Aiden looked at his arm. He winced as it stung a little. "Thanks" he mumbled. He looked at her, not caring about the gash on his arm as much. "But are you okay?" Aiden asked with concern. He was careful not to move to balance them both on the branch.
She looked from his cut, to him, putting her wand away. "Yeah I'm okay." She whispered. "Are you?"
Aiden looked at his cut, which was much better now. "I'm fine. Don't worry" he replied as he moved his arm, seeing if it hurt. He looked at Sky. "Maybe we should get down before one of us gets hurt again" Aiden whispered, with a hint of urgency in his tone.
Sky smiled. "Alright." She said and started to climb down, careful not to break another branch. She made it to the bottom and stepped lightly to the ground.
Aiden followed her slower than usual. When he got to a low branch he leaped down, onto the ground. He looked at Sky and the others. "So now what?" Aiden asked, rubbing his slightly healed gash.
"What ever you'd like." Said Sky, leaning against the tree.
"Hmm...well in that case. No more climbing trees for me" Aiden replied, flashing a mishchevious smile. He folded his arms and thought for a moment. "What else is there to do in the forest late at night?"
"Well...I'm really not sure." Sky said after thinking for a moment. She glanced at Aiden then at the ground.
Aiden paused then sat on the ground. "I guess we could sit here and chat I suppose" he suggested. He ran his hand through the grass for a moment, thinking.
"Sure." Agreed Sky, sitting down on the ground also. "So what would you like to chat about?" She asked, setting her chin on the palm of her hand.
Aiden leaned his back against a tree. A hint of a smile appeared at the edges of his lips. "I didn't really think about that..." he said quietly. He thought for a short moment. "How do you like Hogwarts?" Aiden asked. His pale face showed an obvious frown as he finished speaking. He hated small talk but it was all he could think of at the time.
Sky's lips curved into a little smile when she spotted his frown. She could see he didn't really know what to discuss. "I like it a lot. Good food." She joked.
Aiden smiled slightly as he got what she was getting at. "Well, thats good" he said, chuckling quietly. Aiden layed his arms on his knees and tilted his head shortly to the side. "So hows life been treating you lately? Not too bad I hope." He asked casually. Aiden rubbed his gash again, it felt completely better.
"It wasn't the greatest a few days though, but for some reason, being around you made me feel better." She grinned. "Thanks."
"I'm glad I could help" Aiden said. He flipped his hair out of his eyes. "However, I'm not quite sure what I did. But i'm glad it worked" His smiled widened.
"I think it's just getting out and hanging with someone while actually having a good time." Sky said, then sighed. "See, I just went through a breakup and haven't really been around anybody."
Aiden pressed his lips into a hard line. "I'm sorry" he apologized "That must be tough. Is there anything else I can do to help you feel better?"
"No. I'll be okay." She looked at him sincerely. "But I appreciate it." Sky looked up at the stars then at the ground.
"No problem" he replied. Aiden sat there quietly and looked at the castle. After a moment he stood up. "Hey, lets get out of here" he said, reaching his hand out to help Sky up.
Sky looked at him, confused. But she took his hand and stood up, ready to follow his lead. "Alrighty then." She said slowly.
Aiden began to walk in a random direction. "I'm not sure where" he added "it just seems like we both need some time to get away..." He began to walk through the forest, knowing where he was headed to now. "Is the lake okay?" Aiden asked Sky quietly, turning towards her.
"Yeah. That sounds great." Sky said, glancing back where the others were. They'd be fine by themselves. She walked beside Aiden, her feet in step with his.
Aiden kept his pace with hers until the arrived at the lake. He looked up at the water and saw the reflection of the moon above the water. He chuckled and looked at Sky. "Now that we're here, I don't really know what to do. What do you want to do?"
Sky looked out at the lake, her eyes shining with the reflection of the moon. The sight of the lake was breath-taking. "It's beautiful." Sky whispered. She looked at him when Aiden asked his question. "Um..I'm really not sure." She said quietly.
Aiden nodded. "It is" he agreed quietly. The moon's light reflected brightly on him, showing his pale face. He wish he brought his hoodie so he could cover his head. Aiden stared at the lake, deep in thought. He crossed his arms. "If you don't mind me asking, how was your life before you came to Hogwarts? Or- your home life I guess you could call it..."
Sky's face turned pale when she heard his question. She took in a deep breath.
"My parents died when I was six. Killed by death eaters. For five years, I was taken care of by my god-father. Then I was sent to a magical school in America. I can't say that I remember my home life, but I know it was good before they died. My mother used to sing me lullabys before I fell asleep." Sky stared out at the lake, humming a soft, soothing tune.
"What was your home life like?" She asked very softly.
((I'm going to bed. It's 3:18 AM Lol.))
Aiden looked at Sky. "I'm sorry" he whispered "that must be devastating" Aiden sat down on a fallen down log on the sand as she hummed the tune. It took him a moment to reply "My parents died too" he whispered simply.
(Haha okay. I'm going to bed too.)
((Haha, wow... Way to wait up you posting machines! :P Ok. after one of you post I'm jumping back in. That ok?))
(Haha sorry. You can go ahead if you want)
"O my God" Bucky said "Anyhow I heard that Hagrid has came back and living in the forest It's probably just polava though"
Sky shrugged. "It was..but I'm past it. I'm really sorry too." She whispered, looking down. Nobody should go through what they've gone through.
"Its alright" Aiden said quietly. He flipped his hair out of his eyes again. He thought for a moment "I think you're the first person at Hogwarts I've told" he pointed out.
"Really?" Sky asked, surprised. "I've told a few people. But it feels better to be able to relate with somebody. To have someone actually understand for once..how you feel."
Aiden nodded. "Yeah, it does feel better to have someone to relate to..." he agreed quietly. He leaned his back against the fallen log. He sighed. "Sorry about asking" Aiden said after a moment.
Sky turned to face him. "Please don't apologize. You didn't know." She smiled and turned a rock over and over in her hands.
"It just brought up alot of painful memories...for both of us" Aiden said, looking at the ground.
A small bit of silver was seen bobbing on the top of the lake. It moved towards Sky and Aiden, and as it got closer, you could see it was Jackie's head. She rose up a bit higher in the water so her mouth was above also. She was about to say something, but stopped, and instead remained silently treading water, not even making a ripple.
"What was that?"asked Bucky
"I know." Sky said quietly. She took a deep breath. "But good things do come out of bad ones." She whispered. "I never would have met my friends or you if my parents had died. I wouldn't have gone to this school or..." Sky swallowed. "Never mind. That was a bad one."
Aiden tilted his head to the side and looked at her. "What is it?" He asked Sky quietly.
She sighed. "I did something bad. But..I changed my ways." Sky whispered. She turned over her arm so the small burn mark was visible in the moonlight. "I burned the mark away. I didn't want to have any more memories of him." Sky quickly wiped her eyes then looked away. "I was following in Voldemorts footsteps a little over a year ago. I left the school for some time and then returned, managing to escape Voldemort for good." She rubbed her finger across her arm gently, tracing the scar. "I made a bad decision but I fixed it."
Jackie gasped a bit causing her to creat some waves as she struggled to come back to her treading water pattern. "Sky..." Jackie said softly. "That must've been hard..." SHe said almost to herself.
Aiden nodded agreeing with Jackie. "Wow that must've been hard for you." he said quietly.
"No amount of words can express what I've been through." Sky muttered then shook her head. "It's all in the past. Just forget about it." She looked at Aiden. "So what are you doing later today?" She asked with a small smile, her voice quiet.
Aiden leaned back and looked at Sky. "Not really sure. Probably nothing. What are you plans?" he asked, equally as quiet.
(Isn't Jakie drowning)
"I'm considering going to Hogsmead. A warm butterbeer doesn't sound too bad. Your welcome to join if you'd like." Sky offered, running her hands through a piece of her dark black hair repetitively.
((Is She?))
"Sure" Aiden agreed. He was in the mood to leave Hogwarts, at least for a little while. He stood up. "Ready?"
Jackie looked up at them. "Um, I gotta go..." She said smiling, and disappearing beneath the waves.
Sky shrugged, then smiled as she stood up. "We shall." She said normally.
((Should I create a topic or just continue off here?))
(Doesn't matter to me. Whatever you want to do.)
((Meh. I'll just make a topic because it gets confusing otherwise.))
