Megan had been gone for over 4 months now. It wasn't that she wanted to leave, it was that she had to leave. Things were going on in her life that had never happend before. She was getting older, but was staying one age. She was going to be one age...forever.
She looked around at her surroundings. The lake was just outside her reach. She could feel the water misting over her as the waves hit against the rocks. The trees around here, were quite. Nothing was moving. Every once in while there was wind, but she was keeping track of how many minutes it was for there to be another gust of wind. Now it has been over 30 minutes and nothing.
She listened in the distance. It was going to rain today. She could feel it, smell it, and hear it far out. She sat down in the sand and looked at the open water. Her long black hair was down, and she was wearing a white hoodie, with her swimsuit under the hoodie. her shorts were laying on her towel. At the moment she just wanted to sit in the sand.
She had went swimming earlier, and might go again. The water felt good. Not cold but then not warm. Just right. She looked over to her left, because she heard something. She moved her bangs out of her eyes, and then realized it was just a fish.
Aiden sat in the forest. He leaned against the tree with his arms leaning against his knees. It was a nice day out, moderately warm. He was wearing his black skinny jeans and a tee-shirt with a band design on it. Also some fingerless gloves and his snakebites. A slow breeze fell over the horizon, shaking the leaves on the trees. It was like almost like the whole forest was at peace.
Aiden suddenly felt the urge to run through the forest at full speed. It was a feeling he got often when he stood in one place for far too long. Aiden stood up. His limbs protested from being still so long. He walked through the forest, his hands in his pockets. Aiden headed toward the lake and he suddenly got the feeling he wasn't alone.
Eventually, he came to the lake. Aiden pushed a tree limb that hung low to the ground out of his way. He scanned the beach, seeing no one at first. Aiden took a few more steps forward, then noticing Megan sitting in the sand. He walked closer to her. "Hey..." Aiden greeted her quietly. Another cool breeze swept across the shore, making his dark black hair fall over his eyes.
Megan looked up and again pushed her bangs out of her eyes. She looked up at Aiden, and smiled. "Well, Hello."she said to him. She looked back at the lake, and around at her. She thought is felt werid that it was so quite. But that didn't always bother her. There was a gust of wind.
"45 minutes."she said. The wind blew her hood down and she sighed. She looked back up at him her eyes looked very very blue today. she sighed again.
"I think this world now hates me. I have at least put my hood back up a thousand times already. Yeah, it hates me."she said to him and laughed.
Aiden laughed as the cool breeze around them began to pick up. "Nah, it just likes to taunt us." He paused and flipped his black hair out of his eyes, only to have it fall back again. "I know what you mean..." Aiden shrugged and then chuckled.
He looked down at the sand Megan sat on. Aiden looked from her back to the sand. "Do you mind if I with you?" He asked quietly, not wanting to be rude to someone he just met.
She looked at him and laughed, "Go ahead. I don't own the sand silly."she said to him and laughed.
The waves came up and hit a rock near by and got her a little wet. She sqeaked, as it hit her. She looked back at Aiden. Then she laughed. She smiled up at him, with a laugh again.
Aiden waited to sit. He noticed the wave that was coming so he felt no need to get wet. He watched as the wave hit Megan, soaking her. He suddenly bursted out into a roar of laughter. Aiden sat down, still laughing. "Wow. That was very nice" He laughed.
He looked at her and how soaked she was. "Thats exactly why I waited to sit down." He said, and chuckled once more. "I'm sorry. I couldn't help myself." Aiden tried to hold in his laugh now.
She looked at him and glared. "That was sooo not funny."she said to him and then she laughed with him. "Okay...maybe a little, but it is bad on my half."she said to him with a smile.
"I wouldn't laugh to hard."she said to him as she looked at the water and then focused on it. An ball of water rose out of the lake and she brought it over fast and made it hit Aiden so now he was soaked.
"That's what you get."she said to him and then busted out laughing.
Aiden laughed then was knocked back by the way. He leaned back up. "Hey" He protested. Aiden looked at his soaked self. He shook his head and water sprinklets flew everywhere, even on Megan.
"That was not nice" Aiden said. He then laughed and flung the water off of his arms. He smiled and chuckled at himself.
She looked at him and laughed, "It wasn't?..haha..that was funny."she said and looked at him.
She then looked at him again, "So r u and Stacey.....?"she asked him.
He smiled. "Yeah, it wasn't." Aiden chuckled.
Aiden looked at Megan, more serious now than before. "Yeah...but its confusing" He said quietly. A dent formed in his forehead as he thought to himself. He layed his arms on his knees again. Aiden rubbed his chin, thinking. He messed with one of his peircings.
She looked at him and smiled, "I see, I see. Well why is it confusing? You can tell me."she said to him and smiled. She watched as he messed with one of his peircings.
"Don't do that!"she said as she pushed his hand away. "Now it is all messed up."she added and fixed it, her hands were cold when she fixed it.
"There...all better!"she said to him.
Aiden smiled as Megan fixed his peircing. He noticed that her hands we oddly cold, like his always were. "Thanks" He said after she was done. Aiden's smile fell as he thought about what he was going to say.
"Well...she likes this other guy..." Aiden replied simply and quietly. He frowned a little bit. He flipped his hair out of his eyes as he looked out through the horizon, watching the waves as they hit the shore.
She looked at him and nodded, "I see, I see."she said to him. "Nate?...yea....he likes her to."she said to him.
"Well if you....like her.....then....go get her?"she said to him now not smileing. She looked out at the water again..moving so that her legs weren't crossed the were now out in frount of her.
"Its all up to you."she said quitely.
"Well...the complicated part is that shes supposed to be telling him that it won't work out between them..." Aiden paused in the middle of his sentence. "I don't think she has yet. And I know, that even if she does leave him...a part of her will always still love him..." He finished and sighed a deep sigh.
Aiden looked at Megan. "I'm sorry...about telling you this. I just wanted someone to talk to" He said quietly. He adjusted where he was sitting and leaned forward a little with his arms still resting on his knees.
"Well....to tell you the truth it really doesn't matter if she loves him or not. The thing the matters is...."she said and then paused.,".....The thing is.....do you love her?"she said to him.
She looked at him, "Even if she does or even if she doesn't. You will always have people who love you."she said to him and then got up for a minute and took her hoodie off and walked over to the water and got in to get all the sand off of her. She had alwso done this a thousand times.
She looked back at him sitting there then back at the water.
Aiden paused and watched Megan walk to the water. He began to absentmindedly rub his chin and one of his snakebites. "I know. And I do love her. I know she loves me too, but...she loves someone else.." Aiden said quietly.
Aiden paused once more and looked at the sand. He leaned back and layed down, folding one of his arms behind his head and layed on it. He sighed and looked at the sky.
She came out and dried off her legs. She walked back over to him and stood above him. She felt sorry for him. "Well, left me tell you something. This happend to my brother. He was going though what you are going though now. But she found someone else. One day he just met this girl, and they were perfect for eachother. They are still together today."she said to him and then moved his had away from his snakebite.
"Stop that. You dont know what you have touched and you don't want it getting infected."she said to him and smiled.
"Come on."she said as she held out her hand to help him up.
Aiden stopped and thought for a moment about what she said. He looked at Megan and then took her hand to stand up.
He put his hand down from his face. "Its a bad habit, when I'm really think about something" Aiden said. He smiled but it didn't fully reach his eyes. He flipped his hair out of his eyes again.
She smiled at him and laughed a bit. "Everybody has a bad habit."she said to him.
She then put her shorts back on and put her hair in a long side ponytail, her bangs in her eyes.
"But you know what I mean? Things can change."she said to him.
Aiden nodded. "Yeah...things could change" he considered. He paused and thought about what she was saying.
Aiden rubbed his hand over the studs on his wristband. "What do you think could change?" He asked Megan suddenly. He began to think to himself, trying to understand what she said.
She looked at him, and then turned around to face him and she looked at him, "I belive that you could find someone....else....to love."she said to him.
"There are people out there."she said to him and smiled.
"You just have to look, they could be closer than you think."she added.
Aiden nodded and shrugged. "Yeah...maybe." He decided. "You could be right, maybe there is. Who knows...." He added quietly, looking at Megan.
Another cool breeze swept around them, making his dark hair falling over his eyes. Aiden sighed and flipped it out of the way. He leaned back against a rock that was beside him.
She smiled sweetly at him, and laughed a bit, more of a giggle though.
She looked at him, "I know there is."she said to him then turned back around and then started to walk a little was.
"You want to go to Hogsmead with me?...I could really go for a giant lollipop right now."she said to him and smiled.
Aiden smiled shortly and nodded. "Sure" He agreed. He jumped up from the rock he leaned against and ran towards where Megan was.
Aiden walked in silence more a few moments. "Does your brother go to Hogwarts?" He asked, suddenly curious. Aiden kicked a rock that was in front of him with his shoe.
She looked at him and smiled, "He use to his name is Ryan."she said to him.
"He is somewhere...every once in awhile I get a letter from him."she said to him and smiled again with a laugh.
"Awww..be happy!"she said to him as she smiled at him , and pushed his cheecks together, to make his face all scrunched up. She laughed at him and smiled again.
Aiden coudn't help but smile with his face scrunched up like that. He laughed loudly.
"I am happy" Aiden replied, still having a forced smile on his face. He continued to laugh.
She smiled at him, "Good!". She started to walk by him. She looked at him again and smiled then looked back out in frount of him.
They were getting closer to Hogsmead, and the wind picked up again. Then before she new it, it started to rain.
"I knew it was going to rain."she said to him.
Aiden looked up as it started to pour. "Sh*t..." He mumbled. He looked forward and saw a tree they could go under so that they wouldn't get soaked.
"C'mon" Aiden said, grabbing her arm and leading her towards the tree. When they finally arrived to it he shook himself off. "Bad timing" He said with a laugh.
She smiled at him. "Yea...perfect."she said to him.
She looked at him and smiled, "Well...this blows."she said. "Its not going to stop for hours."she added and looked at him.
Aiden sighed. "Ah..oh well." he shrugged. He leaned against the tree.
Aiden looked at Megan. "Well, we either stay under here, or get soaked. What do you want to do?" He asked her. He smiled shortly.
Megan smiled at him and started to walk out in the open. She loved the rain she really did. But this was different. The rain was warm.
She looked back at him, she was now soaked.
Aiden laughed at Megan as she walked back under the tree. "I'm guessing you like the rain then."
He looked at her soaked clothes and smiled. He stuck his hand out and felt the water fall on it. He pulled it back in and shook it off. Aiden smiled and stepped out for a moment before stepping back in. He was soaked but not as soaked as she was.
She smiled at him and took his hand in hers gently. She made in come out in the rain to.
"Yess I do, and come on silly."she said to him and started to run. "I have to get my lollilpop!"she said then started to laugh.
Aiden laughed and ran in the rain. He kept up behind Megan before eventually passing her.
"Who you calling silly?" Aiden asked with a laugh as he ran ahead of her. The rain continued to fall hard as they got even more soaked than they had before. The rain made Aiden's hair fall of his eyes.
She laughed at him, "Don't underestimate the small."she said to him and she ran faster, and then soon past him a little ways.
She looked back at him and then continued to go.
"Come on Aiden..try to get me."she said to him with a smile.
Aiden smiled and ran towards her trying to catch her. He moved faster as the ran began to fall harder.
Aiden got closer to Megan. He held his hand out and grabbed her arm, bringing her to a stop. "Gotcha!" He said and then laughed. The ran continued to fall on them and he smiled.
She looked at him, and smiled. Her face turned red for running and blushing. She laughed.
"For know. But at the moment...."she said to him and poucend on him and knocked him down on the ground, "Gotcha!"she said back to him and then started to laugh.
Aiden laughed and rolled over so he was laying on his back. "Hey..thats not fair!" He said and laughed.
Aiden layed there and didn't get up. He looked at Megan and smiled, folding his arms behind his head again. He layed on them. He didn't care anymore that he was getting soaked from the rain.
She smiled at him and then started make pictures with the water useing the elements. She looked at them. She then stood up and made her heands glow with fire, but then they went out. Like they always did. She sighed.
"What do you want to do?"she asked him.
Aiden watched her make the pictures with her unusual skill. He smiled as she used the fire.
He thought for a moment. "I don't know. What do you want to do?" Aiden asked. He shook his head and water flew from his hair.
She looked at him and shrugged her shoulders. "I don't really know."she said to him and smiled
Aiden shrugged his shoulders as well. "How about we just hang here? We are already soaked" He said with a smile.
Aiden continued to lay on the ground, while the water splashed on his face. He opened his mouth to catch some water droplets. He then looked at Megan and smiled like a dork and laughed.
She looked at him and laughed, "Okay."she said to him and smiled. She sat down by him. She sat there, and then laid down, and looked at the now black sky.
Aiden layed there also. He put his legs down and stretched his arms out so he was more comfortable.
Aiden watched as the rain continued to fall all on them. He then turned to Megan who was laying beside him. "So what were you doing out here by yourself?" He asked suddenly.
She looked at him, "My life sucks, thats why."she said to him and then laughed. She didn't like how it was, but she couldn't change it. To her nothing was god in her life, but everyone said something different.
Aiden frowned. "I'm sorry..." He apologized. He gave her a sorry look. "My life isn't so great either....its been better though since I've came to Hogwarts though"
Aiden sat up and patted her shoulder, the only thing he could think of to do. He flipped his hair out of his eyes, making it more difficult to see since his hair was wet.
She looked at him and then moved his hair out of his eyes, "There, all done."she said to him and smiled.
She stayed laid down. Then she got up and looked at the sky. "Thats it I hate you stupid weather patterns."she said to the sky.
Aiden smiled now that he could see. "Thanks."
Aiden looked up at the sky then back to Megan. He raised an eyebrow. "Ahh...talking to the sky now, I see?" He then laughed, lifting his shoulders a little.
She looked at him and laughed. She smiled at him and then shrugged. "Well...yea....I would talk to you...but you in loveeee...with someone....."she said to him.
Aiden frowned a little bit. "Well...you can still talk to me.." he said quietly.
Aiden put his hand on one of his snakebites but quickly put it down. He layed his hand in his lap. Aiden sighed and leaned back again, so he could lay on the ground.
She looked at him and watched him lay back down. As he did she moved a away from him aways, and then laid back down.
"Yea..."she finally said.
Aiden looked at Megan as she backed away. He bent his knee. He raised one of his eyebrows.
"Something wrong?" Aiden asked quietly. He looked at her with a curious but confused expression.
She looked at him, "Well, yea I mean you have a girlfriend."she said to him.
Aiden looked at her, tilting his head more. He scraped the heel of his foot over the ground.
"Ahh.." Aiden mumbled quietly. He paused and looked at Megan. "Do you wish I didn't?" He asked, equally as quiet as before.
She looked at him then looked back up, "Kinda.......Sorta.......yeaaaaa."she said to him then got up, and looked up at the sky. She stared to make imagines with fire. She could always work with fire when she was mad, sad, or upset.
Aiden watched her get up, forming the images with fire. A deep dent formed in his forehead. He really wanted to say something but he knew it wouldn't be the right thing to do.
Aiden sighed quietly. He got up and walked beside Megan. "I'm sorry" He whispered, instead of something the other thing he really wanted to say. He looked at her with a confused expression.
She looked at him then looked away." It is okay"she said to him then looked back at the fire on her hands as it went out.
Aiden frowned. He walked a step closer to Megan to where he was only a few inches away from where she stood. He wanted to comfort her in some way but he didn't know how she would react to that.
Aiden looked at her with a sorry, confused expression. "I really am..." He said, his voice no more than a mere whisper.
She looked at him, her eyes turned an icy blue, and her skin paler than normal. She looked back at him, "No, it is okay."she said to him.
Aiden's frown deepend. He looked at the ground and put his hands in his pockets. He didn't want to say more, hoping he would say the wrong thing, something he didn't need to say.
Aiden took a step a back to give her room. He figured Megan didn't appreciate him very much now so he didn't want to bother her.
She just stood there and thought about everything that had happened today.
Aiden sighed quietly and sat down. He looked at the ground. It seemed the day started out good but it had a weird turn of events. Aiden looked up at Megan. "Did I make you upset?" He asked cautiously.
She looked at him, and then nodded her head.
Aiden looked up at Megan. He then got up and hugger her comfortingly. "I'm sorry.." He said once more, trying to show how he meant it.
Aiden paused and then looked at the ground. He stepped away. "Its not like I don't care about you." He said very quietly.
She looked at him then pushed him away, "No you don't."she said to him then started to walk away.
Aiden stepped back a step, taken aback. He looked at her confused. After a moment Aiden took a step forward and ran towards Megan. He grabbed her arm.
Aiden pulled her so she was looking at him. "I really do..." He said "But I love Stacey. Don't think I don't care about you. I truly do"
She looked at him, "I am a vampier."she blurted out.
Aiden looked at her, suprised. He tilited his head to the side. "You are?"
She looked at him. Did she really say that to him. Well, she didn't care, she didn't care if people knew.
"Yea, but see. I am also half human."she added.
He looked at Megan. with a suprised look on his face. "How did that happen?" Aiden asked.
Aiden took a step closer to Megan so he could hear her better. He folded his arms close to his chest.
She looked at him, "I was born that way."she said to him. "Duhhh."
Aiden smiled embrassed. He looked down. "Sorry..I don't really know much about that sort of stuff" He mumbled.
Aiden dropped his arms. He looked back up at Megan. "If you want to leave you can..." He said quietly, knowing that she was trying to leave a moment ago.
She looked at him, "Ehh, I am okay."she said to him and laughed.
Aiden nodded. He glad to see that it looked like their conversation had taken a lighter turn than before.
"Okay. Its all up to you" He said.
She looked at him, "Mhmmm...Well I really don't know. haha."she said to hiim
Aiden smiled shortly. He sat on the ground and layed his hands on his knees. He looked up at Megan.
"I don't know either. And theres nothing to do..." Aiden sighed. He shrugged his shoulders.
She just stood there, "yeahh, I know what you mean."she said to him.
Aiden looked at a rock that was right beside him. He picked it up and threw it towards a tree.
He sighed. "Yeah, your right. There has to be something to do though..." Aiden said quietly.
She looked at him and nodded.
Aiden frowned, the edges of his lips curving down. He picked up another rock and threw it up in the air, only to catch it again in the same hand.
Aiden stood up suddenly. "Want to take a walk with me?" He asked.
She looked at him and shrugged.
He frowned. "If you don't want to you don't have to" He said. Aiden scraped his foot over the ground, embarrassed.
she just stood there.
Aiden sighed. A deep dent formed in his forehead. "I guess if your going to ignore me then I'll leave." He said angrily and sad.
Aiden stood up and began walking the other direction, back towards the lake. His shoulders were down and he sighed again.
She looked at him walking away then got up and started to walk back to the school the other way. She had to get back because it was almost curfew. As she walked back she thought about everything that had went on today. She jst kept on walking.
Aiden walked the opposite direction. He found a broken down tree and sat against it. He began thinking to himself as well with a frown on his face.
Megan walked back to her room. She then got a shower and took off all her makeup and got dressed in her pjs. She then walked back down staries, and sat in front of the window, and looked out side. She didn't know what to think of do at the moment. But she really didn't care. She wanted to get away again. Just to leave. To her things would be alot better, but she really didn't know.
Aiden leaned back against the tree so his back was against it. He looked down at the ground with a confused look. A deep dent had already formed in his forehead from the stress.
Aiden lifted his right hand and flicked his wrist. A small flame had formed. He carefully balanced it over his palm. Aiden stared at the small fire as he thought to himself. He knew it was already passed curfew but he didn't care.
Megan got worrid that he wasn't back she was good with the wind and sent it to Aiden.
You better get back to school. They are comeing to look for students in the forest and lake. the wind hissed at him.
Aiden lifted his head. A slow breeze blew around him, carrying a voice. Aiden stood up and obediently walked back to school.
Aiden quickly made his way back to school. He was careful to be quiet as he neared Hogwarts, he didn't want to be caught being out so late. He quickly ran inside and into the common room. He sat on the couch and stared into the fire.
She hid herselve in the window she he wouldn't see her. She held her breath, and didn't breath.
Aiden sat on the couch, completely still for a long time. He stared into the fire and lifted his hand. Aiden leaned back and looked at a ring that was on his finger.
She had to get out of the same room as him. She got up, and then started back to her room, as she got up and started walking toward the staries. Only for her to run into a table on her way there. She stood there in pain then looked down and saw that she didn't run into a table, but into a flag pole that was sticking out of the wall. she winced in pain and saw that is had cut her side a little, and blood started to come out.
Aiden quickly turned to the side as he heard a noise. He saw Megan standing by a flag pole. It took him a moment to realize that she was bleeding.
Aiden stood up and took a step away from the couch he sat on. "Are you alright?" He asked very quietly. He looked at Megan and then down at the floor.
She looked at him, and then took ahold of her side, she nodded even though she wasn't really okay. She started back up to her room.
Aiden frowned. She apparently didn't want to talk to him even though he was trying to help her out. He thought about following Megan to see if she was really okay, but he didn't want to make her more upset that she already was with him.
Aiden picked up a rag and cleaned up the small amounts of blood on the floor so no one would notice. He sighed and put the rag down. Aiden leaned against the back of the couch and folded his arms across his chest.
She came back down and sighed, "Okay Okay, I am not fine."she said with her hand now overd in blood.
Aiden looked at her hand as she walked back down. He quickly picked up a rag and put it over her hand. "Why didn't you tell me?" He asked.
She looked at him then down, "Im sorry."she said to him, as she started to cry.
Aiden looked at her as he cleaned up her hand. His face softened a little as she cried. "Don't cry.." Aiden whispered. He frowned as he looked at Megan.
She looked at him then back down, "Sorry."is all that she said to him.
Aiden looked at Megan with a sorry expression. "What are you apologizing for?" He asked her quietly as he finished cleaning her hand.
She looked him and then back down.
"I don't know."she said to him then looked back down.
Aiden blinked then put the rag that had blood on it on the table. "Is that better?" Aiden asked as he lifted Megan's hand.
She pulled her hand back, and wouldn't let him see it. She knew she needed maybe stiches. But she didn't know.
Aiden looked at Megan. A frowned formed at the edges of his pale lips, it didn't seem like she trusted him very much. "I'm only trying to help you, you know..." Aiden whispered quietly.
She looked at him, "Well don't. Go to your girlfriend or something."she said to him.
Aiden narrowed his eyes. "just because I have a girlfriend doesn't mean that I can't help you out" He told her.
"i don't want you to, and I have a boyfriend."she said to him, she didn't see him around the school anymore.
Aiden pressed his lips together into a hard line. He looked at her. "Well, just because you and I are taken by someone, it doesn't mean that we can't talk to anyone else."
Aiden paused and looked at the ground. "If thats how you want to be then fine." He said, keeping his voice cool. He took a small step backwards.
"No."she said then walked back up to ther room.
Aiden watched Megan go without a word. He shrugged his shoulders and turned back to the fireplace. He didn't bother sitting on the couch, instead he took a seat on the floor in front of the fire. It was hot but it didn't bother him, not now.
Aiden layed his arms on his knees and sighed to himself as he began to think.
She walked back up to her room and then watched as she cut healed its selve. SHe laid donw on her bed and just stayed there. Not moving.
Aiden stared into the fire. His hands balled into fists. He leaned back so he was against the foot of the couch.
Aiden didn't move, but he felt like if he didn't do something he was going to crazy. However, he sat there.
She laid there on her bed, and just sat there and though.
Aiden flicked his wrist and made a flame appeared. He pushed it into the fireplace, making the fire bigger. His eyes turned a darker shade. Aiden sighed and leaned back.
She soon fell asleep in her bed. She didn't dream or think. She was just out of it at the moment.
Aiden sighed. He had enough of sitting here, doing nothing. He had to keep his mind occupied. He sighed once more as he stood up.
Aiden quickly walked outside. He tried to keep quiet since it was pass curfew. He walked out into the courtyard and looked up at the moon. He took in a deep breath of the fresh night air.
Megan laid there then got up. She couldn't sleep. She got up and then cleard her mind.
