Nates head was pounding with a huge headache and confusion. He walked in and plopped onto the barstool next to the counter. He nodded to the man who worked there and said with an sigh,"Could you give me something thats storng and spike it with some blood." The man nodded with a warm smile and went back to work. He slouched into his chair as he thought through his jumbled up head. Girl problems was the reason why he was having such a screwed up time right now. He chugged the drink right after the bartender handed it to him. Nate wiped his mouth with the back of his sleeve,"Life sucks..." he commented to himself.
Alexis walked into the room and gracefully sat in an empty barstool. She only ordered a water because she didn't feel like anything else at the moment. The bartender gave Alexis her drink and departed without a word. She wrapped her hand around the cool glass and took a short sip. She turned her head to the side and looked at a boy that was a barstool away. Alexis hadn't noticed him when she walked in, but he looked upset. "Are you alright?" Alexis asked, after he finished speaking.
Nate shook his head out of deep thought. He turned his head to see a girl sitting close by him,"Uhm..kinda.." then he added honestly,"actually no."
Alexis turned towards Nate so she could understand him better. "I'm sorry. Theres probably no way I can help, is there?" She asked, trying to help him out. Alexis picked up her drink and took another quick sip of it.
Nate put on a sad smile,"Well..maybe. If you know anything about giving good advice about girl problems?"
Alexis gave him a sweet smile, trying to cheer him up. "Well, depends on what kind of girl problems." She answered.
Nate shook his head again,"Oh never mind im screwed," he said with a sad smile.
Her smile faded. "Oh, it alright." Alexis said. "If you want to talk about it, you can. But, if you don't, it's alright. I can leave you alone." She offered.
"No its alright dont go,"he urged her not to go. "Its just i still like my ex-girlfriend and she left me for another guy because... well anyways she broke up with me and now im kind of falling for this other girl but i dont want to get my heart broken and plus im still not over with my ex...i dont know what to do." He said fastly. He took another sip out of his really strong drink and set it down on the table.
Alexis nodded, she knew how Nate felt right now. "If you really like this other girl, you should find out if you can trust her to not break your heart. And if she really cared for you, she wouldn't" She encouraged quietly. Alexis set her drink down on the table, not before taking another quick sip.
Nate looked at her as his eyesight began to get a little blurry,"I really do like her though, and i dont trust her enough not to break my heart...you know your really good at advie," he added softly.
Alexis sighed at the thought. "Yeah...I guess you could say I've had alot of experience with broken hearts" She murmered quietly.
Nate said gently,"What do you mean?"
Alexis looked at her drink. She wrapped her hands around the glass it as she thought for a moment before saying anything. "Well, I just know what your going through. I've been through it myself." She replied finally.
"Yeah..it sucks," he said as he took another little sip out of his drink that was already less than half empty. "And confusing..."
Alexis nodded in agreement. "Yeah it is." She shrugged. Alexis looked at her glass with a detached look. "It's strange how it works out" She mused.
He smiled lightly,"Just a little strange." "So who broke your heart," he asked curiously.
Alexis leaned back in her chair. "Well, alot of people actually. No one here though." She said, not wanting to put in too much detail. It would take a long time to explain. "What about you?" She asked, equally curious.
He replied looking down,"No one here either..just a girl. I guess its just hard to explain is all. I liked her but she broke up with me for another guy...and all but it was kind of hard on her too." He made sure that no names werent in it even though it wouldnt be hard to figure out who broke his heart, but hed rather not say anyways.
Alexis gave him a sad look. "I'm sorry" She apologized. "That must've been tough for you" She added quietly.
He didnt dare meet her gaze,"It..it was okay. She deserved him..he was best for her." He took a breath,"She chosed him for many reasons but the main one was because im a vampier and id live forever while she would die.."he mummbled.
Alexis frowned at what he was saying. "Wow, that's almost like getting punished for something you can't control." She murmered.
Nate shook his head,"No there was more reasons than that...most likely," he said sadly.
Alexis looked at him thoughtfully. "But you said it was hard on her too...?"
Nate sighed,"Well she had to choose between me and another guy and she really didnt want to make the choice. Cause she still liked both of us and stuff..its hard to explain"
Alexis nodded. "Oh okay, I see. I'm sorry for asking." She said.
Nates head went into deep thought,"No. No its alright you didnt know or anything." His eyes and face blank until he thought of "her." Of her beautiful face and her thoughtfulness. Her being the girl he liked now, a crease in his lips lifted forming a small smile,"I like another girl anyways," he added a little more happy.
Alexis smiled as she noticed his face change. "Thats good. I'm glad you've found someone else." She said.
Nate smiled back,"Yeah..yeah me too." He then turned the subject on her,"So who ya liking these days," he asked.
Alexis shrugged her shoulders. "Not anyone really. Not alot of guys here my age." She said.
His eyebrows raised,"How old are you," he asked in interest.
"I'm 16." Alexis said. "I've only met a few that are around that age."
Nate smiled,"Hmm..yeah i dont know very many that are sixteen."
Alexis nodded. "Doesn't bother me though. My life is fine just how it is." She said.
"Your very self confident." He commented with a sly teasing smile.
Alexis smiled a litte as she shrugged her shoulders. "I try to be at least. Well, anyway enough about me. What about you, any girlfriend now?" She asked him.
Nate smiled,"Jackie, she's a great girlfriend. And amazing," he said through sparkling eyes.
Alexis smiled warmly. He seemed to have great admiration for her. "Thats great. Congratulations."
"Yeah it is," he agreed with a warm smile. "So who are you dating or boyfriend?"
