Alice closed her eyes as she felt the blood rush to her head. She was hanging upside down on a low branch in the forest. The moonlight shone down on her face, making her look paler than she was. Her short black hair hung down in her shadow.
She took a deep breath of the cool night air, the cold temperature not bothering her in the least. She felt a breeze blow against her cheek and turned her head in that direction, smelling something that hadn`t been there a moment before.
Jackie smiled, widely, showing her gleaming white teeth as she emerged from the forest. "Having fun?" She asked coming closer. Then she laughed inwardly at how she and ALice must look next to eachother. Alice had short black hair and Jackie had long blonde hair that looked white in the moonlight.
Alice gave Jackie a small smile. "Hi, Jackie. What are you doing out here?" She asked lightly. She stook her head, making her dark hair quiver. Her brillinat, crystal blue eyes reflected the bright light that illuminated everything with light.
Jackie stood smiling for a moment as her eyes mirrored the image. "Hunting." She replied, casually, looking into the trees. "But I haven't found anything big enough yet."
Alice nodded. Her eyes were bright blue, it was obvious she had fed recently. "There`s a group of large animals sounth of here." She informed. "I checked." She added happily.
"Thanks." Jackie murmered in gratitude. "So why're you out here? Just hunting?" SHe asked curiously, turning to lean against a larg oak tree.
Alice cave an upside down shrug. "I just fed a while ago." She answered quietly. "I just wanted to think for a while." She said even quieter.
Jackie nodded to herself, folding her arms across her chest in a comfortable way. "Thinking of...?" She prompted waiting patiently.
Alice kept silent. She hadn`t know Jackie for very long and didn`t really know what to expect of her. She closed her eyes slowly and shook her head again, making her hair fly around.
Jackie frowned slightly and stopped waiting for an answer, figuring one wouldn't come. Instead she looked toward the direction Alice located the animals earlier. "Be right back." She murmered, knowing Alice would hear her.
She sped into the woods and returned 5 or 6 minutes later, her lips red and her cheeks flushed pink. "So, um... Have you met anyone at Hogwarts you like?" SHe asked, attempting to make conversation.
Alice opened her eyes when Jackie returned, not startled at all at seeing her red lips and bright cheeks. She didn`t speak right away, noting how Jackie had smootly brought up the previous topic. "Uh, sure." She said quietly, pulling herself up onto the branch and turning around to face Jackie. She gently leaned against the wide tree.
"Could I ask whom?" Jackie asked curiousity easliy visible in her voice. She never tried to hide anythin except secrets she was sworn to keep.
Alice looked towards the ground. "You may ask, but I wouldn`t be so sure of a reply." She mumbled rudely. She wasn`t used to having someone question her like this, like a friend.
