Nate jerked his head from deep thought as he heard a twig snap. And then another, and another. His eyes automatically turned a deep black as he peered through the trees. He ran in a blur swiftly, not even making a sound. He could feel something was different. Out of place. He looked just in time to see an arrow pass by his head swiftly, just a inch from his head. He glared towards the direction the arrow came in disbelief.
There in fron of him layed a group of hunters with arrows clasped in their hands and their eyes filled with hatred. "Hello pal, came a cruel voice from a old man. The mans eyes were full of hatred and disrespect.
And then it came to him with a jolt as he remembered the stories that his father had once told him. He whispered under his breath,"Vampier hunters."

One of the men fell to the side, dead, with an arrow in his throat. Stacey staepped out from between the trees with her bow drawn. Her eyes were locked on the vampire hunters. "Archery, third through seventh grade." She said loud enough for Nate to hear.
Her eyes were bright red and her navy sweat-shirt and jeans were stained with grass and mud.
Nate turned his head puzzled to see Stacey by his side. He smiled lightly but he didnt want Stacey to get hurt,"What are you doing here," he whispered, ignoring the vampier hunters that glared menacing at them.
The leader of the big group of huntees said with a glaring smirk,"Looks like we have an unexpected visiter. Hmm..even better. One more than expected,"he snarled. He looked at his group and estimated how much his group compared to the two vampiers. It was a little unfair on his part but he didnt know that..not yet.
"I am not a vampire." Stacey hissed. She had used Nate`s powers to read all of their minds. "She ignored Nate, not wanting to give anything away, and shot two of the other hunters down in a flash. She had her bow drawn and loaded, pointed at the leader. "Nor have I ever been." She added.
Nate smirked at the sudden kills. He glared as the leader got mad. The hunter waved his hand in some type of signal. Nates face turned to a frown. All at the same time in unision the large group became to get bigger as more and more popped out with their weapons either on their side or in their hands. nuts nate thought to himself. He snarled at the bigger and bigger group and then peered out of the corner of his eye to nottice they were surrounded in a large circle. He moved in closer to Stacey so he could whisper in her ear and no one would hear,"We have to use some defensive moves while we try to cut the circle so we can escape from their sight."
The leader wavered to the group, the circle became smaller and smaller. "It doesnt matter anyways. We kill anyone who is a part of a vampiers life anyways. Our Priestess will be proud once she sees this when you die." The rather large man spitted onto the grass in dispice. As if vampiers were disgusting and a disgrace. Nate narrowed his eyes at the disrespect.
Stacey snarled and spit on the ground, also, ignoring Nate. She already knew what she had to do. She raised her bow and killed five men and then she shot eight fire-balls at more of them. She side-stepped to be in front of Nate and shot the leader. "Life, Liberty, and the pusuit af Happiness. Is this really what all of you really want to be doing right now, don`t any of you have loving families to go home to?"
Nate then jerked his head at Stacey. He raised an eyebrow at her with a little bit of surprised. He could feel that some of the people in the group were shuffling and a little distraught but they still held the same anger towards them.
The leader ducked before he could get hit by the massive fire ball. He glared with an evil glare,"Its worth their lives. We are keeping their family safe by killing his kind off. You should know of course,"he said as if he knew her. This made Nate angry as hell.
"We have not hurt anyone. He hasn`t fed from a human in many years. You are keeping no one safe with catching the tame vampires." Stacey hissed. She made a wall of lightning explode around herself, Nate and the leader. "If you think we are worthy to die, you must kill us." She remembered his last sentence. "No one close to me has ever been hermed by a vampire. Only your kind."
The leader glared with his menacing pale blue eyes,"You dont know what you are talking about. You dont know anything, your just a girl with powers and thats it,"he spatted out.
Nate glared at the leader ignoring Staceys powers that were evolved around as he hunched his shoulders and attached the leader, his fangs out, and his claws sharp as he clawed the leader with all the stregthn that he had in him. He could feel the group shuffling to get Nate off but he didnt care. All he wanted to do is kill, kill the man that thought he knew everything about vampier but he didnt. He didnt know how hard it was and he will never if Nate has to do with it. He hissed to the leader with hatred,"Your just a pain in the a*s."
Stacey looked away as Nate attacked the leader. She quickly shot down the rest of the group and waited for Nate to finish. She had had enough experience with vampires to not want to see what they did when they were angry. She closed her eyes tightly and tried to block out the sounds that were coming from behind her.
He glared down the leader, making the leader shrink like a little kid. Nate watched with startled eyes but then they went back to slits. He spatted out the words with such hatred that the leader flinched,"You disgust me." He pulled himself up onto his feet with all his arm stregnth and then once sturdy on the ground he put his hand out for the leader to grab. The leader looked confused and as startled as Nate felt. I cant believe im doing this,Nate thought to himself. The leader tooked the hand reluctantly as Nate pulled him onto his feet with a big amount of force that could of easily tripped the man over. Nate said with a frown as he turned his head to walk back to Stacey,"And dont ever come back!" He wavered his hand in a gesture to leave.
Stacey turned to face Nate. She wasn`t startled to see his appearence. She glared at the leader. "Leave, if you know what`s good for you." She hissed through clenched teeth.
As nate walked back towards Stacey the man stumbled. Once stabled again he glared down at them two,"I will be back," he yelled powerfully and then clumzily he ran, far, far away from them.
Nate rolled his eyes in annoyance as he didnt even turn his head to see if the leader had actually left,"He was beginning to piss me off," Nate growled.
Stacey turned her head, confused. "Okay, really, what just happened?" She turned to face Nate. "What the he*l just happened?"
Nate passed Stacey just looking in front as he walked, expecting Stacey to follow. He took a deep breath and said in a low dark voice," Their Vampier hunters. They have this religion conspieriousy and they will do anything to kill vampiers."
Stacey slowly followed Nate. "Okay, but why was he just scared all of a sudden?"
Nate stopped in his tracks and said nothing for awhile. He shook his head, erasing the thoughts,"N-nothing, i just kind of know that man is all and..thats bout it." He said, knowing it didnt really make sense.
Leah hung upside-down in a tree, much like Spiderman. She wore a white tennis skirt and a light blue t-shirt, that was fitted.
"Who was that?" She asked, dropping from her hiding spot.
Nate glanced at Leah. He shook his head and waver her off as if he didnt want to talk about it. He leaned the curvature of his back against a almost gray tree and slid down, landing in a sitting position. "It was nothing," he said nicely but with a little ting of anger.
Leah jumped from the tree, landing on the ground next to him. She rested her head on his shoulder playfully and said, "Obviously that wasn't nothing!"
Nate wasnt feeling good. He didnt want to get in a mess that he couldnt get out. He lifted Leah's chin and looked into her eyes. His eyes blank. "I have to go," he said also blankly. He slid his hands in his pockets and stood up feeling bad . He hoped she didnt think much of it.
Leah frowned. She had to find out what was going on, but obviously that wasn't the way. She stood in front of him and looked up into his eyes. She didn't say anything, she didn't think she would need to.
"Just vampier hunters," he replied matter-of-factly. He figured she wouldnt pressure him into saying more.
Leah smiled up at him sympathetically, nodding. She had a feeling that wasn't all that was the matter. She looked at the ground, as if giving him permission to leave.
He didnt leave knowing that was what she was thinking he would do. He decided to just make small talk and change the subject completely,"So what are you doing out here?"
"It's sunny, where else can I go?" Leah said, looking up at him once more. She was surprised that he didn't leave, but did her best not to show it.
Nate smiled,"Yeah I guess, I'm usually out here when it's rainy."
Leah sat down again, leaning against the tree, glad he hadn't left. "I love the sun so much, but I feel like I have to hide from it!" She said, looking up at him.
"Whys that?" He asked curiously.
"Not everyone at Hogwarts understands and accepts vampires, and if you do something strange or something that they can't do, they get mad. Plus I don't like standing out that much." She said. She was telling Nate everything, but couldn't decide why. It wouldn't be hard to lie to him, and yet... she didn't.
Nate smiled,"Understandable, I like to use my fast ability sometimes too since im a vampier."
"I like using all of my abilities, but elements are my favorite, especially since I've had so long to work on them." She said, her bare feet playing with the dirt.
Nate nodded,"Yeah, it must be awesome to have the ability to use all elements."
"Well I haven't mastered all of them yet... mostly just lightning. But lightning was so simple... it was like it was a part of me or something..." Leah said, lightning cackling between her fingers, she watched it, deep in thought.
"I would like to see you use those powers on me sometime," he teased.
Leah shocked him with some lightning. It was soft and hit him on the nose. "Are you sure about that?" She said teasing back.
