Stacey carefully sat the heavy book down on the table. She smiled at the bartender as she sat down and he brought over a glass of water. She thanked him and took a sip of it; they were like family so he didn`t charge her for it.
She ran her hand over the wooden cover of the book. Inside, pages were separated by cardstock, fabric, and other samples. She slowly opened the book to the first page. It read "The Big Planner." Stacey sighed. She only had a year and three months to get this all together, and it had to be perfect, it was, after all, her... wedding.
The word sound funny on her tounge. Wedding. Married. Wife. She shivered, but not because she was cold. She flipped a few pages over, looking for the color samples. She looked at the clock impatiently as the minutes ticked by. Where was Aiden?
Aiden quickly strolled beside Stacey, and kissed her cheek. He sat down onto the stool. "Sorry, I'm late." Aiden apologized. He looked down at the large book that Stacey had in front of.
Aiden looked at Stacey now. "Are you ready?" He asked. It was alot to think about, and to discuss. It was already stressful as it was. However, he didn't care if people thought badly of them, being the age they were, being engaged. He couldn't hardly wait until the big day, and that was all that mattered.
Stacey smiled and her eyes were instantly bright blue as soon as Aiden appeared. "I`m ready." She answered. It was true, they were really engaged, they were really getting married. Even though Stacey was fifteen and Aiden was seventeen, they were perfectly happy with each other, and would always be.
She took a deep breath and turned the book to face Aiden. The page was covered with different shades of red and ivory. "I know how this looks, but it`s the tiny details that really count."
Aiden looked down at the book. "It's perfect. Did you make it?" He asked. He ran his finger over the side of the book. He flipped through a few of the pages. He smiled, his eyes began to get light.
"Not the book, just the samples." Stacey looked down at the book. "I need you to pick one shade of red and one shade of ivory." She asked. "It would make the rest so much easier."
Aiden looked at the different colors. He pointed to a nice looking ivory color, and a red color that would match. "Do these work?" Aiden asked, wondering if the would work right.
Stacey smiled and pulled the two colors off the page. The matched perfectly. She grinned at him. "You`re a natural." She teased and turned the page.
The page was covered with different pictures of carnation bouquets. The flowers were all different colors and shades from the lightest cream to black, and red, too. Some of the cream-colored flowers had red edges. "Pick a card, any card."
Aiden continued to smile genuinely. He looked at the different flower color variations. How they all looked the same, but yet so different. It was hard to choose. "How about you pick this one." He said, feeling confused at all the difficult decisions.
Stacey chewed her lips as she looked at the flowers. "True, after all, you don`t know what my dress looks like." She smiled at him like she was enjoying a joke. She pulled out a picture of flowers and put it with the red and ivry samples. She flipped the page.
The page was covered in suits. "This is your area, pick."
Aiden looked at this page, and all the different designs. He glanced up at Stacey, and raised an eyebrow. "I thought we weren't supposed to see what each other was wearing?" He pointed out with a smile. He put his hand over Stacey's.
Stacey squeezed his fingers. "I can see what you`re wearing, they all look practically the same to me anyway. You`re just not supposed to see what I wear."
Aiden frowned, but a glow still showed in his eyes. "Well, how about you can see my suit after I get it. Deal?" He asked.
Stacey laughed. "Deal." She flipped the page again. This page was covered in pictures of the same room decorated twelve different ways. "Pick any of them, whichever you like."
Aiden looked at the different color variations. He looked at everyone one, deciding. "That one." Aiden said as he pointed to one that would match the colors he had picked before.
Stacey smiled and used her free hand to pull the picture off of the page. She closed the book. "Uhm, you can`t see the rest." She said with a smile. "Well, I guess there is one thing." She opened the book to a page with cardstock samples. The different samples had shades from pure white to the yellowest cream. "You know the drill."
Aiden smiled, and skimmed his eyes over the different colors again. He picked a color he liked, and pointed to it. "That one works." He decided after a moment of thinking.
Stacey pulled it off and pointed to the other page. "Stamps." She said softly. The page was covered with eighteen different kinds of stamps.
Aiden looked at all the different color, and varieties of stamps. "Uhh...you can pick this one." He told her.
Stacey smiled and pulled off a red stamp with a circular design on it. "Now- that`s all." She said, closing the book. "You`re not supposed to see the rest." She said, almost teasingly.
Aiden looked at Stacey, and smiled. "Oh, I'm not? Thats too bad..." He said as he eyed the book curiously.
Stacey`s smile twisted. "Nope." She slid the book off of the table and set it next to her, away from Aiden.
Aiden smiled, and lifted his head to show he was giving up. "Alright. You win. So, what else is there to do?" He asked her.
Stacey sighed softly as she thought. "Well... we have to pick out dresses for the brides` maids, but I won`t put you through that." Her smile twisted again. "Other than that, we just have to plan the honeymoon."
Aiden smiled misheviously, and shook his head. "Nope. That's going to be a suprise for you." He pointed out.
Stacey gasped. "Now that is not fair!" She exclaimed loudly. The bartender gave her a look and she blushed and lowered her voice. "Really, not fair." She insisted.
"Trust me. This will be much better as a suprise. Don't worry, you'll like it." Aiden replied.
Stacey leaned closer and gently kissed his cheek. "Whatever you say." She said. She felt happy that Aiden had taken something major into his own hands; she felt like he was missing out on a lot of the other planning.
Aiden smiled as she kissed his cheek. "Thanks for letting me do this." He said to her. Aiden looked at the bartender. "Do you want something to drink?" He asked.
Stacey shrugged, lost in thought. She was scanning through possible locations. "Can you give me a hint?" She begged, not really having heard his question.
Aiden shook his head. "Nope. I'm not giving in this time. Your dad helped me a little though... but he won't tell you either." He said.
"Aww." Stacey whined, poking him in the ribs. "Not even the tiniest little hint?" She asked, her voice raising a few octaves.
Aiden chuckled as she poked him in the ribs. He shook his head. "Nope." Aiden answered defiantly. "It's a secret."
Stacey frowed and poked him again. "Not even the tiniest, littlest, acute little hint?" Her bottom lip pushed out in a pout.
Aiden smiled, and laughed quietly. "Well, the only hint I'll give is that you'll like it." He answered her.
Stacey looked away and pretended to be crying. She shook slightly.
Aiden looked at her wide-eyed. He put one hand on her shoulder. "Are you crying?" He asked shocked.
Stacey started laughing. "No, silly." She said through a frenzy of giggles.
Aiden composed his face, and smiled shyly. "Oh. Your too good of an actress sometimes."
Stacey shrugged, still smiling. "Well... I have had a lot of practice." She teased.
Aiden put his other hand on the table. "That is true." He agreed. Aiden looked at the bartender again. "So, can I get you a drink?"
Stacey sighed. "You`re just looking for every opportunity to spend money on me aren`t you?" She asked.
Aiden frowned. "No, not really. Sorry if it seems that way." He said quietly.
Stacey squeezed his hand gently. "Do you worry about me. I just think that you`re too good for me."
Aiden looked back at her quickly. "What? No, you're way to good for me." He said seriously.
Stacey shook her head. "That`s your opinion and I have mine. And I think you`re too good for me." She said, just as seriously.
Aiden raised an eyebrow. "Whatever you say....but I disagree." He said.
Stacey smiled. "Then we agree to disagree." She said.
Aiden smiled, and nodded. "I guess so." He agreed as he inched closer to Stacey.
Stacey leaned closer to Aiden, her eyes glittering as she raised an eyebrow.
Aiden looked at her eyes at how they always seemed to glow. He shook his head slowly with a smile.
Stacey tilted her head, still smiling. "What?" She asked softly.
Aiden kept his head to the side. "Nothing. You amaze me is all." He pointed out simply.
Stacey`s smile grew. "You can say just the right thing, sometimes." She said, leaning her head onto his shoulder.
Aiden wrapped his arm around her tightly. His lips curved in a grin. He sighed quietly as his eyes glowed.
The bartender was suddenly in front of them and cleared his throat. "Can I get you two anything?" He asked politely.
Stacey jerked up, looking at Aiden. She raised an eyebrow, basically asking him if he wanted anything.
Aiden looked up at the man who appeared to work as the bartender of the place. "Nah. I'm alright. Thanks." Aiden answered quietly. He turned his gaze toward Stacey to see if she was planning on ordering something.
Stacey smiled and leaned back into Aiden as the bartender walked away. She slowly closed her eyes and sighed happily.
Aiden smiled, and wrapped his arms tighter around Stacey. "How are you feeling about all this?" He asked suddenly.
Stacey almost lifted her head to look at Aiden, but didn`t so she wouldn`t disturb his hold around her. "About us getting married?" She asked. "I love the idea. I love you. I can`t wait until it can be official." Her voice made it obvious that what she said was true and she loved him dearly.
Niles walked into the bar, it was like walking into his memories, he sat next to this couple and ordered a butter bear, its been so long. He looked at the couple again. the girl looked so familiar. Then it snapped in his head, its Stacey!!!!!!!!. His friend, his best friend, his love. the sadness hit him like a ton of bricks.
"No" he said quitly to himself.
Stacey jerked around and didn`t really know why. She looked at the person now next to her. "Oh my god." She whispered. It was Niles. Her first love. The person who broke her heart the first time. Her hand entwined with Aiden`s tightened it`s grip as she stared at him.
Her eyes fumed purple; she was feeling too many emmotions at one time. She was incredibly glad to finally see Niles again after so long. But at the same time she hated him for what he did to her.

Aiden looked at the young boy who walked into the room. He also noticed the way Stacey reacted. He gently leaned closer to her ear. "Are you okay?" He whispered quietly.
Stacey turned into Aiden, covering her eyes with her hands. "No." She whispered, knowing that unfortunatly Niles would have heard her. She held her hands over her eyes, leaning into Aiden. "I`m not okay." Tears sprung into her eyes, but she refused to let them fall down her cheeks.
Aiden suddenly embraced Stacey in a hug. He wrapped his arm around her comfortingly. He looked down at her. "Don't worry. I'll keep you safe." He said as he narrowed his eyes at Niles.
Stacey was shaking her head, burying it into Aiden`s chest. "No... no." She kept whispering. She was trembling slightly.
Niles was confused, he never wanted this to happen "ummm, I could leave, but ummmmmm, I really wanted to see you, to tell you what happened" Niles said noticing the threat next to Stacey
Aiden saw how this....boy made Stacey react. He looked at the boy, and gave him an angry look. He held onto Stacey tighter. "No, just go." Aiden told him directly. He didn't want this kid to even talk to Stacey, because of the way she broke down when she saw him.
Stacey turned around quickly but carefully, keeping Aiden`s arms around herself but she could face Niles. "Why?" She whispered. "Why did you leave me like that?" Her voice was soft and sounded hurt, which is exactly how Stacey felt, hurt.
"Ill tell you, but not here" Niles said looking at the boy holding Stacey
"No," Stacey said, her eyes flashing red. She put her hands over Aiden`s. "He is a part of me now, he should know, too." She tried to swallow the lump that was forming in her throat.
Niles felt blood thirsty "what time is it?" Niles asked anxiously
Aiden narrowed his eyes at the boy. He grabbed Stacey's hand, and held it tightly. He even bother to answer Niles' question.
Stacey slightly turned into Aiden`s side, squeezing his hand and producing a slight heat from her palm to reassure him.
"Seven thirty." She answered.
"good" Niles felt bad, he was really depressed, he turned around and started to walk towards the door
"No!" Stacey exclamied, reaching out from Aiden`s hold to catch Niles by the shoulder. "Tell me why you left."
"I left, because, because I wanted to take care of my problems, so I can spend the rest of my life problemlis with you" Niles said looking down
Stacey turned around to face Aiden. "Wait here, I`ll come back, I promise. And don`t worry about me, I`ll be fine." Before he could protest she kissed him softly then stepped out of his arms.
"Come with me." She said to Niles, walking towards the door.
Niles followed "I have nothing else to do"
Stacey stopped outside. The air was crisp and cold. She carefully picked up Niles`s hands in her own, locking eyes with him. "Niles, I will always cherish what we had together, but I was thirteen, you were seventeen. I`m seventeen and engaged to someone I really love." Her voice craked a couple of times as she spoke.
Niles said noting he pulled himself away from her hand and walked away
"Niles please," She pleaded, running in front of him. "Please. I really missed you when you were gone. I believed you had gone to Romania and found another girl, one older than me. You don`t know what I was like after you left. I was a robot; I got up in the morning, went to my classes, and went to bed. I didn`t do anything with friends, I hardly ate. You can`t just leave me now."
"you apperently dont need me, you have aid.. eid... um that kid"
Stacey`s eyes were instantly bright red. "His name is Aiden. And I guess I don`t need you, especially since you were the one that left me. Yeah, you would probably know." She hissed, then she turned on her heel and started to walk back inside. She knew she had the wild card, and she planned on using it.

Niles had a choice, and he chose to run up to Stacey and he put his hand on her shoulder "im sorry, Im just going crazy" Niles said smiling
Stacey turned around and crossed her arms. "Is that so I hadn`t noticed." She made it clear she would go back inside at any time, but she didn`t move yet.
"Here me out, I really didnt want to leave, but I had to leave, I dont know, I guess what I said at the yule ballI still mean it
Stacey`s eyes were sudenly dark blue and her arms weren`t crossed as tightly. She swallowed slowly. "Niles, you haven`t seen my for four years, you can`t know that." She said softly. She couldn`t be in a relationship with Niles, she was getting married soon and there were problems with Nate still.
"I thought about you all the time when I was gone, there wasnt a second when I forgot about you
Stacey shook her head. "No, Niles. Just because you never forgot me doesn`t mean you still love me." She said, trying to keep desperation from rising in her voice.
"Stacey i love you with all my heart"
Stacey pressed her lips together to hold back a sob. Tears found their way to her eyes again, but she didn`t let them run down her cheeks. "YOu can`t know that."
Aiden sat in the bar alone. He looked at the bartender, and ordered a butterbeer to calm his nerves. When his drink came Aiden quickly to a sip of it, and looked around the room. He shrugged his shoulders.
"yes I can, because its true" Niles said persuasively as possible.
Stacey shook her head and swallowed. "You left me, Niles. For four years I didn`t know where you were or what you were doing. I thought you left me for some other girl." The tears spiked her eyes threateningly.
"There is someone in this bar that loves me enough to ask me to marry him. He`s met my family, the day`s been set. And you left me to go fight." Her voice was accusing as the real hurt behing her words came out.
was was hurting now, depresion hit him like s ton of bricks "O...O...OK" Niles didnt know what to say or do
Stacey kept shaking her head, forcing the tears not to fall down her cheeks helplessly. "I have to go." She said softly, then back into the bar, rushing up to Aiden`s side.
Aiden quickly turned his head, and stood up. He took Stacey in his embrace. "Are you okay?" Aiden whispered in her ear.
Stacey couldn`t hold it in any longer, she sobbed silently, shaking her head, unable to speak. She wrapped her arms around Aiden tightly, hugging her body to hers.
Aiden hugged her tightly. He didn't want to bother her with questions any more. He wrapped his arms around Stacey, and he narrowed his eyes as he looked at the door. He wondered where Niles went.
After a few moments, the shaking became less violent until she only trembled slightly, the sobs having stopped, too. "I`m sorry." She whispered into his shoulder, loosening her iron grip around him and wiping the tears from her cheeks.
Aiden put one hand on her cheek, and wiped the rest of her tears away with his thumb. "Why are you apologizing? You've done nothing wrong." Aiden told her quietly as he looked into her eyes.
Stacey couldn`t help but smile; Aiden was so sweet, even when she was crying her eyes out, he still acted like she was the best thing in the worls since air. She shrugged in reply to his question. "I don`t know, I got your shirt wet." She suggested, not really sure why she apologized, and wiped at his shirt.
Aiden looked at his shirt for a moment before looking at Stacey again. "I don't care, it'l dry. Now where is that Niles kid?" He asked, his voice getting angrier.
Stacey shrugged slowly. "I don`t know where he went, but I don`t want to see him again any time soon." She said bitterly.
Aiden nodded thoughtfully. "Alright. I won't bother you about it." He said quietly as he continued to hug her.
Stacey gently squeezed Aiden. "I love you. Nothing anyone ever says can change that and don`t you forget it." She reminded softly.
He looked at her seriously. He closed his eyes, and held her tighter. "I love you too. I only want what makes you happy." Aiden whispered.
Stacey`s eyes sparked red and a new sob burst from her lips. "Aiden," Her voice cracked as she spoke, "He wanted me to go back to him." She sobbed. "I love you. You make me happy. He left to go do something useless and he didn`t tell me because he thought I`d follow him." Her voice was soft and wet from her tears.
Aiden grinded his teeth together, and leaned back so he could look at Stacey. "Where did he go?" He asked, suddenly furious.
Stacey shook her ehad back and forth. "I don`t know and I don`t care. Right now, I really don`t want to see him."
Aiden put his fists together, and his eyes got darker. "Well, when I see him...he is going to regret what he did." He mumbled angrily.
Stacey grabbed Aiden`s fists n her hands. "Please, Aiden, let`s just forget what happened and go back to sitting here together, please." She pleaded softly, motioning to the thick wedding book that was beside ehr.
Aiden took in a few deep breaths, and closed his eyes for a moment. He took in another breath, and sighed. "Alright." Aiden agreed quietly, getting over his furiousity.
Stacey took deep breaths, too, and sat on the barstool next to Aiden. "Would you like something to drink?" She asked carfully.
Aiden sat on the barstool beside Stacey. "Sure. Thanks." He answered as he took in another breath. He looked at the door before looking back at her. "Are you alright?" Aiden asked.
Stacey took a shaky breath. She wasn`t okay, but she wasn`t going to tell him that; it would just make him mad, too. The bartender brough them two bottles of fire whiskey and Stacey immediatly took a sip of hers. It burned her throat as she swallowed it, but she didn`t care. "I`m fine." She replied softly.
Aiden took a long drink of his fire whiskey before turning to look back at Stacey. "Do you want to leave?" He asked.
Stacey shrugged, taking another drink. "I don`t care, whatever you want to do." She said in a monotone.
Aiden began to absentmindedly mess with his lip ring. "Doesn't matter to me....Sorry." He said quietly. Aiden took another drink of his butterbear.
Niles walked into the bar again and walked towards Stacey "I'm sorry Stacey. You will never see me again, but I have to make sure your not mad at me, that's it" Niles looked Aiden, and smiled, his anger made Niles laugh
Stacey put her hand over Aiden`s. "I don`t blame you for anything, don`t feel bad... please." She pleaded softly. She jumped when she heard Niles`s voice. She flippped around to face him, her eyes shining bright red again.
""How could you do that, Niles?" She hissed, holding back the stinging tears that burned her eyes. "How could you just leave like that, without even telling me you were going to leave, and then just come back four years later and expect for me to be waiting for you?!" Her voice raised toward hysteria. She turned into Aiden, covering her face with his shoulder, and squeezing their entwined hands.
"No, I didnt expect you to wait, I expected this. I just need forgiveness and Im not finished with my job" Niles extended his hand and showed her a flower "Here, i was thinking of you" Niles put it on the booth and walked towards the door, he looked back and then toward around and walked out side

Aiden had enough. He looked at Stacey, and then watched Niles as he walked out of the door. Aiden quickly stood up, and stalked after Niles. He grabbed him by the shoulder, and turned him around. "What the hell is wrong with you?! Don't you think you've caused Stacey enough of pain!" Aiden yelled at him, his eyes turning darker by the moment.
Stacey didn`t look at Niles again, although she felt him leave. She felt him drop the flower onto the table and she flicked it away without looking at him. She didn`t protest as Aiden stood up, she knew he was extremely angry at Niles, but right ow she didn`t really care what happened to him.
Niles didn't look at him "are you sure you want to touch me" Niles was a werewolf, ex-death eater, done with school, and way older "I tried, she doesn't want to talk or anything"
Aiden looked at him gravely, his eyes very dark, almost a black color now. He closed his fist tightly into a ball. "Then why the hell are you still talking to her if she doesn't want to?" Aiden asked angrily. He unclenched his fist, with a flame in his hand. "Don't you ever get near Stacey again." He muttered through his teeth.
Niles looked at the flame "that's cute" he said jokingly, and you don't have to worry about me talking to her, but if I wanted to you wouldn't stop me" Niles eyes turned yellow, the blood lust almost overwhelming Niles thought of the passion of biting into the boys soft pale neck.
Stacey jumped up from the table, her face and eyes were bright red and her cheeks were tear-streaked. "You will NOT, Niles." She growled, bursting out of the bar. "You are not going to hurt him. You hurt him and you hurt me, like you would care."
She stepped up right in front of him so she was between Aidena and Niles. Her hands tense and her nails looked sharper than they had a mintue ago. They were in the middle of town, there were all kinds of powers she could absorb and use against him if he tried to attack.
"I will not hesitate to save him." She hissed.
Aiden stared at Niles furiously. He touched the edge of his shirt, and burned part of it off. "Don't test me." He muttered darkly, his eyes black/
Stacey glared at Niles. "Don`t you dare change here." She hissed again. "If you change here, I will not hesitate to make you change back." Her eyes burned blood red, and they seemed to glow unnaturally.
Niles teeth sharpened "I don't want to hurt him, to much time. I tried to talk to you so many times, but you don't listen" Niles held back his instinks "one more thing, there are some people were your powers want count for nothing, the things that you absorb, i destroy" Niles eyes turned back to normal, but not his teeth.
Aiden looked at Stacey doubtfully. He didn't want her to be here incase it escalated to a fight. He turned towards Niles. "Obviously if she doesn't listen, she doesn't want to talk to you. Now go back where you belong." Aiden muttered through his grinding teeth.
"If she doesn't want to talk to me then why does she keep doing it!" he yelled. Niles let his teeth go back to normal, he didn't really have a problem with him
"ha go back were I came from, ill let Stacey tell you why I cant"
Aiden shook his head angrily. "I really don't give a sh*t why you can't go back." He muttered. "Go wherever. No one wants you here."
Niles looked down "I know" and turned around
Aiden moved his hand away as Niles turned around. He really didn't care that he had hurt if feelings. He wasn't worried about his emotions at all. He just wanted the boy away, and out of their sight.
Niles eyes turned red the mark on his skin was burning "I though it was gone" Niles said Silently to himself. he had to go, get away from Stacey or he'd hurt her, his teeth sharpened, he was in mood for destruct. There wasn't anything else he wanted to do but to pierce his teeth in the boys neck. The boy put no theta to Niles, merely a minor.
"The things that you absorb, I destroy"
When Stacey heard that, she let down another internal wall and her eyes glowed to a red, and not from her own accord. "I can absord more than you think." She growled, her teeth growing slightly. She watched in furious hatred, but when Niles turned around, everything fell back to normal; her eyes were back to brown and her teeth were their normal size. Her arms relaxed at her sides.
She ground her teeth together slowly. "I`m sorry." She murmured as softly as she could and still be angry. Her eyes grew slightly as she saw the red mark on his skin. "No." She whispered even softer. She stepped in font of Aiden obsessively.
Aiden looked down at Stacey suprised. He didn't understand why she was apologizing to him. He stared at Niles angrily.
Niles looked down again his mark glowing, even screaming at him "Alright aiden, you insist on f*cking with me. Stacey, please leave" his anger for Stacey calmed. He can take anything she said towards him, he still respected her, but the boy, there is a lesson to be taught.
Aiden made another flame appear in his hand. He looked at Niles with small. dark smile. "If you wish." He said. Aiden took his wand out of with his free hand, and held it down. This guy definatly had some problems that needed to be fixed. He looked back at Stacey more softly. "I don't want to hurt you." Aiden whispered only loud enough for her to hear. He knew he had problems controlling his temper, and his powers. He didn't want to lose control of himself around Stacey.
Stacey growled again and her eyes sparked brilliant red. She stepped between Aiden and Niles again, ignoring Aiden`s request. "I can absorb everything, Niles, not just magic. I could phase right now, and I won`t hesitate to if you do." She warned.
She thrust her arms outward and sparks flew from her palms in anger.
Niles didn't withdraw is wand "Oh, yes and I bet you guys are not even finished with school and your the most powerful wizards in the world" Niles said sarcastically "ha, I slayed unicorns and no curse was lifted upon me, I killed hundreds of death eaters and auras alike and your saying you guys arent problems. this isn't school kids, its the real world" Niles was insulted to be threatened by two minors, especially is thought to be friend.
Aiden rolled his eyes unimpressed. He didn't even believe half the things he said. "Honestly, no one cares about your stupid stories. Now why don't you leave before I give you something to worry about." He told Niles, getting extremely annoyed.
"OK, but not because of you. No your not intimidating at all, actually funny" Niles laughed silently "Just because I don't care about Stacey anymore, you say its my fault" Niles now directed his attention to Stacey "I did nothing wrong, I just wanted to find my self, not marrie an not a very nice person "and you can absorb alot of things, but you wouldn't be able to handle me baby" Niles waved his hand to signal is departure.
Stacey hissed wildly, leaning forward into a ready crouch. Sharp fangs protruded from her gums now and her eyes were more red than fresh blood. Her hand curved into talons, slightly away from her sides in an obvious protection movement.
"I think you`re the one that wouldn`t be able to handle me." She growled; the noise sounded more like it came from a wild animal than a person. A couple who happened to be walking outside a few shops down paused, whispered to one another, and turned to go back where they came from.
"You have absolutely no idea how much power I have right now. I can read every mind for a twenty mile radius. I could very easily blow this whole town if I wanted to." As if to prover her point, large streams of blue and purple flames bursted from her hands and began to swirl around her feet.

((Don`t worry. She can`t really do those things at the moment, she`s just really pissed. But she is phased into a vampire, and she can read some minds. She could probably blow up a house or two, but that`s it. Plus she`ll pass out later, so it`s all good.))
"you dont look all that attractive now honey" niles started paceing" why cant we all just, get along"
Stacey growled. "You`re the one that started this." She reminded in a low tone.
Niles looked down and then lifted his head once again "you over reacted"
Stacey narrowed her eyes. "How did you expect me to react? That`s my point." Her arms flew into the air, starting to pace back and forth. The air thad lost the sense of electricity, and she didn`t expect him to attack. She would have been able to stop him anyway.
Aiden watched both of them argue. He narrowed his eyes at Niles. He mumbled something under his breath before lifting his head up. Aiden sighed out of annoyance. "No matter how much we argue, we are never going to settle this now." He pointed out angrily.
Stacey was right in front of Aiden in a second, her eyes soft and one hand holding his gently. "I know, we`ll be leaving soon, then we can get back to ourselves." She said softly, her eyes honest and loving.
Aiden held Stacey's hand tight, and quickly smiled at her. "I hope so." He said crossly with a sideways glance at Niles. Aiden knew he was being a jerk, but to him it's what Niles deserved for treating his fiance that way.

Niles was frustrated as ever his pocket was so hot, because his wand was burning, ready to jump out and displays its old ways. Niles walked over to Stacey, took her wand and put it in her hand. Then he moved her arm up ward, towards his head "shoot me, if you have a problem"
Stacey dropped the wand, turning back to Niles. "Would you stop being a jerk?" She yelled, tears stinging her eyes. She glared at him for a moment, then all of a sudden, she began to fall backwards. Her eyes rolled back in her head.
Niles was there is a heart beat, holding her up "Whats Wrong!! Stacey!!"
Aiden's eyes went wide as he ran over to Stacey's side. He pushed Niles away, and held his arm under Stacey to hold her up. He put his hand on her neck to feel her pulse, his thumb resting on her chin. "Stacey, love can you hear me?!" Aiden asked urgently, all signs of agression gone.
"Dang, I can use a spell, but I dont know whats wrong, we are going to have to put are arguments aside and take her to the nurse" Niles was scared
Stacey gasped suddenly, her eyes opening wide and colored a plain brown. Her right hand flew to her left arm, clutching it tightly at her elbow. Her knuckles were white with the process. Her eyes were slowly flowing to a deep black.
"Sh*t!" She yelled. "D*mmit!" She flicked her right elbow down quickly, making a short dagger slide out from her hip. "Cut the stupid vein!" She begged, keeping her hand tightly around her elbow.
Aiden looked down urgently at her arm. His eyes turned a dark black, as he wrapped his hand over Stacey's to keep the wound from bleeding more. "Stacey, are you okay?" Aiden asked quickly. He took a swift glance to his sides to see where he had put his wand down at. He cursed under his breath as he turned to back to Stacey. "We need to get you to a doctor."
No!" She yelled. Her face was pale and cold. "Cut the stupid vein." She moved one of her fingers to point to a blue line in her arm that marked where a blood vessel was.
She had never meant for Aiden to see this, although she knew he would eventually. A spirit would have some day gotten enough power to try and take control of her body. She never wanted Aiden to know the voices in her head were that bad.
Niles pushed Aiden aside and pointed his wand toward the vein. He said nothing and a small cut formed were the vein was. "Your going to have to apply preasure to the cut".
Stacey gasped as her skin split across the thin vein. Her body immediatly relaxed, but her head fell to the side, her breathing fluttering slightly.
Niles would of gave her time, but he was to curiouse "explain" he said, it came out more mad then curiouse though.
Aiden held Stacey close to him. He was careful to keep her still as her breathing quickened. "Give her time, okay." Aiden told Niles, without turning to look at him.
On the outside, Stacey simply appeared to have passed out. But in her mind, it was completely different.
How had that spirit gotten so strong? Why did it have to attack now? Was it becasue she was foucus less on her mind block? When would it be strong enough to attack again?
Stacey took in a deep breath, her eyes twitching, then she was perfectly still. Her heart beated feebly.
((*Cough*.... Doctor, anyone?))
Niles transported all three of them to the nurse. "excuse me, we need help fast" Niles said the doctor. She took them to a room were she lay down. "Now explain" Niles was so curiouse
Stacey took in a sharp breath as she was taken into the arms of the nurse. The nurse lay her softly on a bed and rustled away for a moment, grabbing different bottles, mumbling to herself.
"Aiden." She gasped, barely louder than a breath.
Niles stood back
Aiden quickly walked forward past Niles, and beside Stacey. He put one of his hands on the railing, and the other holding Stacey's right hand. "I'm here love." Aiden whispered, "Are you okay?"

Stacey gasped again as the nurse began dabbig at her arm with a soaked cloth. When she was done, she let her hand drift over her arm, healing the skin.
"Fine." Stacey managed to whisper. Exactly then, she passed out.
Aiden quickly stood up, and looked at Stacey shocked. "Stacey? Nurse, what happened?!" He said at the nurse quickly. Aiden turned around, and looked at Niles leaving. "Niles, come back here." He told him with some regret in his tone of voice. However, he knew Stacey need him here.
Niles looked back and turned around he stared for a couple of minutes and walked back.
Nurse- I have no clue whats wrong with her, but she needs rest. I say she'll be out for a hour. We'll see what kind of spells that will help the situation.
**Two days later.**
Stacey felt incredibly sick. She had felt it when she regained consciousness. As much as she had tried to, she could not make any of her appendages move. She couldn`t even make her eye lids flicker.
Finally, she made her lids flicker. It was a tiny movement, but it took great energy. She preyed someone noticed it.
Niles noticed her eye lid "Thats good Stacey, your making some kinda of recovery
Aiden sat in a chair beside the bed. He had been here the entire time Stacey was unconcious. When she finally was able to recover enough energy to move her eyelids Aiden stood up, and looked at Stacey. He didn't really know what to say right now for he figured she was still too ill to talk. Aiden looked down at Stacey, and slowly took her hand softly. His eyes were a complete shade of black.
As soon as Stacey felt a hand in her own, she knew it was Aiden. Her hand twitched in response and her eyelids flickered again. She moaned softly-- that was the only verbal communication she could do right at the time.
The nurse grunted as she stood up. She brought a small glass bottle towards Stacey, the same side of the bed as Aiden leaned against. She carefully opened her lips and poured the blue liquid into her mouth.
Stacey felt a cool sensation in her mouth. Was she outside? Was someone who controlled ice near her? No, she could feel the overwhelming presence that was Aiden`s hand.
Niles stayed back in the shadows of the room, his eyes like little stars
Aiden looked down at Stacey without making a sound. He gently rubbed his thumb over the back of her hand for comfort. He tried to concentrate on Stacey, to see how she was feeling but he kept getting distracted on Niles in the corner of the room.
Stacey turned her head towards Aiden, and felt something soft under her head--a pillow. That movement alone made her feel exhausted, but she had to see him, to tell she was alright and apologize to him.
"Aiden?" She breathed, flickering her eyes open. A bright light was right in front of her and she quickly closed her eyes again. "Shut of the light, Aiden."
Before Aiden could move, the nurse closed the blind on the window. It closed with a soft thud and Stacey opened her eyes again. As soon as she saw him, her eyes looked wide and healthy. They sparked bright blue, just not as quick as they normally would have.

Aiden sat back down his seat so they would be at the same level. He continued to hold her hand gently. "I'm here." He whispered quietly. Aiden snuck a sidewards glance at Niles with a confused look. He was suprised he could keep so calm during all of this.
Niles just sat there, not for here recovery, but her knowledge. He walked over to the bed on the other side of Aiden. "Its time for you to wake up Stacey, do you here me, groan or somthing" Niles patience was limited.
Aiden quickly turned to Niles with an angry glare. "There is no need to be rude." He muttered under his breath only loud enough for Niles to hear. His other hand gripped the bars on the side of the bed very tightly, and his eyes got a darker shade in frustration.
"I wasn't being rude, I was just encouraging her"
Stacey made a soft noise then closed her eyes tightly. "Encouraging is when you say something optomistic. Rude is when you`re as a*s." She mumbled to Niles. Slowly she opened her eyes. As she locked eyes with Aiden, her eyes instantly brightened. She could feel strenght pouring into her body.
Niles smiled "see I know what im doing, I had to deal with alot of injured people on the line of dutie"
Aiden stood up, and looked at Stacey with an apologetic look. He looked at Niles out of the corner of his eye as if he wanted to say something to him, but he figured now was certainly not the time to start a fight. Aiden looked back Stacey, and tried to smile for her.
Stacey rolled her eyes at Aiden`s smile, which looked more like a grimace. She could feel the strenght returning to her body. Slowly but surely.
"How long was I out?" She asked casually.

"Long enough that the nurse informed me of your...incapacitated state."
Ginny's footsteps had been silent, but her voice was anything but. She had a commanding air about her, made even more so by the strength with which she spoke her words. She slowly walked up to the bedside, picking up Stacey's medical chart as she did so. The nurse had been scribbling on it since the moment Stacey came into the hospital wing. She glanced through the pages, then frowned.
"Stacey, what indeed were you doing? Your vital signs were off the charts when these two boys brought you in here."
Ginny already knew the answer, but Stacey was the only one who would know that. She knew everything that went on in the school and it's surrounding areas without even really wanting to know. People simply told her everything. Ginny also knew who the two boys were, Aiden and Niles.
She hadn't had them for class, but she knew them.
She set the clipboard down and motioned for Stacey to sit up, "C'mon. I need you to let me check your blocks. I think you short circuited them."
Niles still had nothing to do or say ((aha)) He just stayed concealed in the shadows, with the two little stars.

Stacey flinched when Ginny`s familiar voice met her ears. She quickly looked down, like a little schoolgirl being lectured by the teacher. While Ginny was no longer a teacher, she was in Stacey`s mind-- which Ginny could unfortunatly see into.
"I was... angry." She said softly, giving a quick glare in Niles`s direction. She gave a heavy sigh as a wave of exhaustion washed over her. "You know what happened, so why asked." She snapped, not meaning for her comment to be so rude. I`m sorry. She thought quickly, hoping she would understand.
"And I... I don`t know if I can sit up." She admitted a few seconds later. It seemed like it took all of her energy just to talk, let alone move.
Knowing that her old teacher still probably wanted to know what happened, she started playing the scenes back in her head. She started with her and Aiden planning for the wedding, then when Niles came in and started talking to her after being away for four years. She winced slightly, but kept the memories coming until she had passed out.
Ginny sighed, seeing the images of Stacey's memory as if they were her own memories. She shook her head, tsking the three students and rolling her eyes. She reached down, touching Stacey's temples with both hands and quietly transferring a small amount of power to help jumpstart Stacey's own powers.
"You should know better than to let your emotions get the best of you. You know that intense emotion takes away your concentration from keeping the voices out."
Ginny was lecturing Stacey, a deep frown on her pretty face.
"You don't want those people bothering you again, do you? Learn to control your emotions or they'll do worse than just make you pass out. They'll kill everyone around you, everyone you care about, and then kill you. You don't want that, do you?"
Ginny's words were harsh, but she knew they were not a surprise to Stacey. She and Lavy had taught the girl the hows and whys of psychic powers.
Stacey gave Niles a long, cold look. "I know not to let my emmotions get the best of me, but somebody jut had to push things a little too far." She said, her eyes flickering red for a short second. She turned her gaze to Aiden and her eyes instantly brightened. "You know how territorial I can get." She mused, gently squeezing her fiance`s hand.
She knew that Ginny wasn`t a fan of Stacey`s engagement, but she didn`t care what anyone thought. She knew the warnings of bad marriages-- Lavy and Ginny had made sure of that. Stacey just couldn`t see anything bad coming from getting married to Aiden. They had always seemed perfect for each other. That was part of the reason her two elders warned her so.
"And I know about the voices, Ginny, what they can do. I give myself headaches every day trying to silence them." She winced slightly, but it wasn`t because she felt weak. She felt her new stranght pulsing through her veins, she could practically hear it. But it pained her to have Aiden hear and see how much she goes through to seem normal.
Aiden listened silently to the two of them speak to one another. He gently held Stacey's hand without saying a word. Part of him wanted to leave. Something about what the two of them spoke of seemed private, and Aiden didn't think he and Niles should be here listening to them. However, another part of him saw how Stacey held onto his hand as if she wanted him to hear this.
Aiden looked at Ginny and listened to what she spoke of. He had heard about the teacher who used to work at Hogwarts. He wanted a chance to meet her one day, but not like this. He figured that she wouldn't think well of his and Stacey's engagement. So he sat there quietly, and stared at his hand that was intertwined with Stacey's.
Stacey closed her eyes for a moment, then opened them and turned ehr gaze to Aiden. She felt his unease; his thoughts were all too clear with Ginny so close. "Don`t worry, my moon." She whispered, squeezing his hand reassuringly. She locked eyes with him. His eyes were dark, she could see that. But she could tell much more than that.
"You don`t have to leave unless you want to." She offered, even though she never wanted him to leave, especially not right now. She thought she might as well have the offer open so he wouldn`t feel like he had to stay for her benefit. She would feel horrible if he left right now and came back after Ginny left, btu he should hear what was going on, Stacey knew that, she was just too protective of him.
Aiden stared at Stacey with his dark eyes for what seemed like a long moment. He needed to be here for her. Although Aiden knew that Stacey could see the grief in his eyes, he had to stay. She needed him as much as Aiden needed her, especially now even if it seemed like Stacey didn't want him to know about what she and Ginny spoke of.
Aiden shook his head slowly. "No Stacey. I'll stay." He whispered quietly, squeezing her hand gently. He looked up at Ginny to see if she would protest. The woman who used to be a teacher may want to speak to Stacey in private.
Ginny flapped a hand, "No, no, no. Stay." She said in answer to Aiden's unasked question. She seemed busy with one hand still touching Stacey's temple, helping the girl rebuild her mental block piece by piece.
"Stacey obviously has chosen to protect you, Aiden. Whether or not this has been a good choice is not my place to say. Whatever the case, you girlfriend...excuse me, your fiancè, hears voices."
Ginny lifted her eyes to meet Aiden's, frowning slightly.
"It's not as crazy as it sounds. Many people hear voices. But it is dangerous."
Ginny shook her head suddenly, causing her bright red hair to tumble about her shoulders. It was apparent by her manner, by the way she was confident about herself that she was older. But her bodily age seemed so young that even people who had known her all her life had trouble believing she was 21.
She sighed, "Whenever Stacey is upset, whenever she let's her emotions control her, she becomes weaker. More susceptible to having random spirits invade her body. Anything that senses her weakness can enter her body and control her. So far, she's been lucky and able to kick the invading spirit out."
Ginny frowned deeply, glancing over at Niles, "But when she gets too upset, anything can enter her body. They can take over it and control it. And with Stacey's powers, a lot of people will get hurt before it's stopped."
Stacey moaned. Ginny had just said way too much. She knew her old teacher meant well, but she had never wanted Aiden to know about the voices. Let alone this much about them.
"Honestly, though, I can block them out. I can control my emmotions well." She tried to say in a hopeful tone, knowing Ginny would probably just correct her. "Really. He just pushed me past my limit." She jerked her head in Niles`s direction.
Aiden stared at the two of them quietly. It took him a moment to take all of this in for he had known nothing about this before now. He looked back towards Niles who sat in the back of the room alone. He then turned his gaze back to Ginny and Stacey.
Aiden looked at Ginny for a long moment until he finally spoke, "Do you think you could help Stacey keep them out...permanently?" His eyes were now a complete shade of black from receiving all of this new information. Aiden gently rubbed his thumb over the back of Stacey's hand in a chance to comfort her. He stared at the edge of the bed that she sat on as he tried to register all of this in.
Ginny's busy hands froze, her breathing almost stopped. Instantly, she recalled asking that same question to an older psychic. Immediately she blocked her thoughts from all in the room.
Ginny shuddered and stood straight, her dark angry eyes meeting Aidens and holding them in her fierce gaze.
She moved her hands in a washing motion, shaking her head slowly.
"I am capable of removing her power. But I refuse to."
Her words were spoken with such strength, it was obvious she was adamant about this. She would refuse to remove Stacey's powers, and probably would refuse to explain why. Knowing why was almost as dangerous as actually doing the removal.
Aiden looked at Ginny, careful not to drop her feirce gaze. He didn't understand. He thought Ginny would've wanted to help Stacey. The two of them seemed like they respected each other. Respect, yes. However, maybe there was some hidden meaning why Ginny wouldn't help his fiance.
Aiden's eyes seemed to get darker. He wasn't exactly furious that Ginny wouldn't help like he thought he would have been. He was more puzzled and a little angry than furious.
Aiden lifted his head up at the intelligent teacher. "Why would you refuse?" He dared to ask.
Stacey first turned her large eyes on Aiden. Of course he would have asked that, why couldn`t she hear him think it? Of course he wouldn`t know what he was saying. Ginny wouldn`t have been able to stop the voices in her head unless she took away all her power, correct? It wasn`t his fault he didn`t know. He wasn`t cursed with the voices.
"Ginny." She said in a soft warning tone as she turned her head to meet the powerful witch. He doesn`t know what he`s saying, please, don`t get angry. She begged in her mind.
Ginny flapped a hand again, this time at Stacey. A sign to shut up, sit back, and remember that Ginny was human too. She had a mouth on her, but she wouldn't hurt Aiden with that.
"Because removing her powers, even a small portion such as this, can really fu(k up your pretty little girlfriend."
Her voice stayed flat, her face betrayed no emotion, and if one were to try and read her mind they would hit a stone wall.
"In case you never stayed awake in your Theory of Magic classes, allow me to explain. Your powers are connected to your soul. Your soul is something that you really don't want to mess with, because it can do several things to your mind. Your mind shapes the entirety of yourself, and if you mess with any of those things, you can die. Maybe not in body, but in mind and soul."
Her eyes flashed angrily.
"Would you really have the trade happen? Hey! No more voices. Sure, she can't walk, talk, sing, dance, eat, or even look at me, but guess what? She doesn't hear voices anymore!"
"Ginny." Stacey said, her voice a fierce warning. Her eyes flashed red for a moment. Ginny, please stop. Don`t be angry with him, he doesn`t know anything. Please. The voice in her mind was begging, but there was still a warning behind it. She knew there was no possible way Ginny would ever be scared of Stacey, but her anger was solid.
Aiden was just trying to help. He has no idea of the things that work with the mind. He thought, her voice kinder. Of course Aiden would never have suggested the idea if he had known the costs, btu he hadn`t, so he did. There was nothing wrong with that.
Aiden stared at Ginny. He grounded his teeth together and set his jaw. He wasn't angry, not at all. He was thinking of a solution but obviously there seemed to be none. He could have one but not the other.
Aiden looked at Ginny with an unemotional stare. He didn't know what to think, say, or do. There was nothing he could. Aiden then turned his head toward Stacey. It looked as if she was silently pleading with Ginny, for her to do something.
Aiden squeezed the side bars of the bed tightly, his pale hand turning red. "Are you s-" He began but stopped himself form saying anymore. He took in a deep breath and sighed. It looked as if he was having a silent battle in his mind to come up with a solution.
Aiden then turned his head towards Stacey again. "Why couldn't you tell me?" He murmured to her quietly.
Stacey froze, her face going blank. She turned away from her silent conversation with her old teacher.
"I-- I didn`t want you to know that I... what I had to go through every day. Every night. I didn`t want you to think you that you had to be careful around me, so you wouldn`t hurt me." She sat up quickly, her face only about six inches from Aiden`s now.
"I didn`t want to scare you away." She finished, tears stinging her dark eyes. It would have hurt too much for him to be scared away. She knew he probably would have stayed with her, but there was always that small chance.
Aiden looked at Stacey, and took both of his hands to hold hers softly. His dark eyes burned with sadness.
"Stacey, love....I want to know these things. I need to. It's my duty to protect you, and I want you trust me." Aiden told her quietly, his voice no louder than a mere whisper. He sighed quietly, and dipped his head. Aiden rubbed his thumb softly over Stacey's hand in order to comfort her in some way as she lied down on the hospital bed.
"Aiden, I know, and I`m sorry." Stacey whispered softly. Her eyes stung with tears, but she wouldn`t let them fall; she was afraid that they would just upset him further, and she never wanted that.
"I just... didn`t want to worry you." She said, lowering her head so he could meet his eyes. "You worry about me enough as it is, I didn`t want to add to that, to make you think you had to be careful." She paused and layed a sideways glance towards Ginny.
He justs wants to help me. She said softly, the voice in her head much weaker than the voice she spoke.
Niles had no expression on his face, he came upon this problem before. H eknew how to fix it too, but he liked the drama going on, he wants to write about it in his next book. His eyes lit the corner, he loves Stacey alot, thats why he's going to save her.
"You will not!" Stacey yelled, leaning forward quickly, her eyes flashind bright red. "You will do no such thing and if you ever do, I will find a way to kill you." Her voice was loud and clear. It was all too easy to read his thoughts here. He should be more careful with what he thought.
She felt a sharp sting in her left arm and she looked down to it with a wince. She understood as she saw the gauze wrapped around her albow. She remembered that that was where Niles had cut her arm-- her only quick solution to keep the spirit at bay.
"That's enough, boys. Both of you." She cut hard glares at Aiden and Niles. She could hear Niles's thought that he could fix this, but she knew him to be wrong. She herself had searched for an answer ever since she was a child much younger than them. She'd been all over the world and all over Time. There was no way.
"I think visiting time is over."
Ginny nodded to herself, as if deciding she was right after she had spoken.
"Let's go boys. You can see her later."
Niles ignored her "youve been around the world, but Ive been to the other wrolds as well. were the spirits dwell. Hate surrounded with fear, overwhelming happiness" Niles walked over to Stacey "I cant do it, if you dont want me to, but if you dont, all of your loved ones will perish. I know you dont like me, but think about the people you love"
"Puh-lease."
Ginny was annoyed, it was apparent. She rolled her eyes and shook her head, folding her arms. She settled her gaze on Stacey with a smirk, "Who are you willing to believe? Some child wanna-be-charlatan? Or someone who has so far not led you astray? Do not listen to him Stacey, he thinks he knows what he's talking about."
Ginny's eyes went to Niles, "In case you didn't know, in the world of Spirits, the rules are changed. You can't bring their laws here and apply them. Things are different there, because the entirety is spirit and soul. They have no bodies to worry about. Trust me. You try and remove her voices, you remove her soul."
She shook her head, almost amused by the insolent child before her.
"At any rate, I also just sad visiting was over. So no more arguing. Everyone out of the room now, or I will remove you."
Ginny didn't look like it, but she was stronger physically, mentally, and magically than anyone would ever guess. She'd been trained by Kiara Maul and Lavender Potter in her youth, and by varouse other masters as she'd grown.
Aiden looked at Stacey, Ginny, and to Niles. He didn't want to leave Stacey, especially now. However, he knew that if he stayed it would only cause her more grief. He was upset that she hadn't have told him, but there was nothing that could be done about it now.
Something that could be dealt with now was Niles. He was really pissing him off now, and he seemed to be getting Ginny angrier by the moment. Aiden quickly leaned forward to kiss Stacey on the cheek, and he stood up to walk over to Niles. He grabbed his arm, not with much amount of force, and started to pull him towards the door.
"It is time to go." He mumbled, his anger obviously showing with his expression.
"Engh!" Stacey whimpered, falling back onto her fluffy pillows again. She shook her head quickly, not caring the slightest what anyone else was thinking right now, and blocked out everyone`s thougts. "Stop!" She exclaimed.
Ginny, sometimes a patient gets better with company. She pleaded in her mind. She couldn`t help but accompany that thought with a thought of Aiden. She had to talk to him, and him leaving wouldn`t make her feel better anyway.
Niles transported back to Stacey's side, he created a magical sheild, were anybody on the other side cant hear or enter. "These people are non-belivers, there so negative, If I was evil again I would have the right mind to kill them, but if I dont help you, you'll kill them before me" Niles held his hand up "I may be an outcast, or an a*shole, or an ex death eater, but Ive changes I know stuff. I was a medic, when we were fighting voldemort, do you think he hasnt tried to posses people, and what the nurse saying is compleatly wrong, just because they have no body, doesnt mean they dont care, or have feelings, she is blinded by here power, because thats what people rely on most of the time. Please let me help, I insist.
Stacey hissed and flicked her hand out to the side, exploding the shield. "Don`t you dare!" She yelled, half sitting up again. Her hand fell to the side automatically, searching for her wand. Of course, as she was in a hospital, her wand was not in its usually place.
"Sh*t!" She mumbled.
Aiden looked at Niles as he went to Stacey's side. He ground his teeth together angrily. His behavior was inexcusable, but however Niles should never interfere with these matters that he probably knows nothing about.
As the shield disintegrated, he walked over there quickly to Stacey side. Aiden grabbed Nile's arm again tightly.
"Get away from her now." Aiden told Niles angrily, pulling him away from Stacey and over to the middle of the room. He certainly didn't want to have yet another argument now.
"I said it is time to go." He repeated himself, more loudly this time.
"Aiden, please." Stacey said. She didn`t what happened to Niles. Not now, and not any time in the future. He had claimed to have new magic and he could take the voices away. No. Stacey believed strongly that if Ginny couldn`t do it then no one could. She knew her old teacher would disagree, but now was really not the time.
"Aiden, stay." She asked, her eyes pleading.
"Aiden, you can stay for a little while." Ginny said, shaking her head slightly. "If the nurse asks, you have my permission." She made a face, mentally asking herself when she'd gotten so soft.
Her eyes went to Niles, "You, however, have only served to upset this young lady, one of my favorite students. I suggest you and I leave for the time being. Perhaps have a chat?"
She raised an eyebrow, her arms still folded in anger. It was obvious that she didn't like Niles, or his assumption that she was power corrupt.
He didn't even know the powers she held.
Niles agreed, then silently said "Stacey when you go crazy, make sure you kill the nurse first" then he walked out of the room, and out of the rp, because everybody is mean to him ((lol))
Aiden watched Niles leave without having to force him out this time. He sighed with relief. Aiden walked over to Stacey's side, and took her hand gently, rubbing his thumb over the back of her palm.
Now that Niles was gone hopefully the room would calm down so that Stacey could get the much needed rest that she required. It was already more quiet in the room. He sighed again and looked at Ginny.
"Is there anything I can do to help her recover more quickly?" Aiden asked her in a hushed voice.
Stacey took in a sharp breath as Ginny (finally) stepped in again. Her words much kinder to Niles than the words Stacey wanted to say, and had been about to. As his presence disappeared from the room, her eyes lightened from their own accord to a light blue. She let out the long breath. "Thank you, Ginny." She said, and in her head she was thanking her teacher for more than just what she said.
She turned her head to her fiance. She didn`t know what to tell him now. What she wanted to say was something not to be said with Ginny near, and he had asked a question specifically to Ginny.
Ginny shrugged one shoulder, pretending to inspect her fingernails.
"Just don't piss her off." She muttered, cutting a glance at Stacey.
It wasn't that Ginny disliked Aiden. In fact, she could understand why Stacey loved him. He seemed a polite, caring, responsible young man. But Ginny was still weary of the two kids getting married soon. It made her nervous for Stacey. Partly because she knew from experience that people with powers as strong as Stacey's didn't get happy ending so easily.
At any rate, she had decided it was best to allow the boy to wish a wide berth from her. Ginny could be very stand-offish when she wanted to be.
Stacey gave Ginny a sideways glance. I`ve never really gotten mad at Aiden, Ginny. She argued in her head softly. She couldn`t help but smile as she thought her next words. And you`ve always beens soft. It`s just some people get it out of you more.
She turned her head back towards Aiden, gently squeezing his hand.
-That's what I used to think about Xav. Until he really pissed me off.-
The thought wasn't meant to be taken seriously. It was amusement that rang through her tones as her voice filtered gently through Stacey's mind. Ginny shrugged one shoulder again, inspecting her other hand.
"Anyway, I'm going to speak to the nurse. When I come back, Aiden, I'll escort you out. That gives you guys a good 30 minutes, ok?"
Stacey wrinkled her nose. "Thirty minutes?" She asked. That wasn`t nearly enough time that she wanted with Aiden. She gave a long sigh. "I guess it`s better than nothing." She said, her voice a little softer.
He pisses you off, yet you`re married happily to him and have two children. Stacey thought in reply. You could get mad at someone every now and then, but still love them. She just didn`t have anything to argue about.
"Just remember how much pain I went through to get this far."
Ginny's voice was strangled, rough, as if she wanted to cry. Stacey knew a few of the things, what had been basic and public knowladge about Ginny's past. But that wasn't the hard stuff.
She blocked off incoming and outgoing thoughts and gave a nod to the two teenagers before turning on her heel and going into the nurse's office, closing the door behind her.
Ginny, are you okay? She thought quickly, but she knew it didn`t go through. She could feel it. Well, she couldn`t exactly do anything about that right now, she she looked up at her love.
"Aiden, I am so sorry." She said softly. Her eyes were slowly fading darker. She wanted, no, needed him to understand. She couldn`t live with herself if he didn`t.
Aiden watched Ginny leaved before answering Stacey's question. He gently squeezed his fiance's hand. He was glad they had gotten a moment a alone. Not that he didn't like Ginny only that he had to talk to her privately.
Aiden looked at Stacey. He couldn't be angry with her, especially now in the condition she was in and after the confrontation with Niles. All he wanted was an explanation.
"Don't apologize...please" He continued quietly, "All I want is for you to explain more thoroughly everything I've missed.
"Aiden," Stacey sighed. Sometimes he just let things go, and she loved him for it, but sometimes she didn`t think she deserved it. "Okay. Well... what do you want to know?" She asked finally. She wasn`t sure what she had informed him over in four years and she wanted to make sure she got everything.
Aiden sat there silently as he began to think again. His eyes were still completely covered black, almost like a fog that had hidden all the light. He still was holding the side of the bed tightly while holding Stacey's hand but much more gently.
"Everything." Aiden said quietly. He looked at her eyes. "Well, everything that you can cover in however much time we have." He added.
Stacey closed ehr eyes and took a deep breath. Without Ginny there for ehr to absorb power, she was feeling weaker. But she sat up carefully and patted the now empty area of bed in front of her, motioning for Aiden to sit there.
"Okay, well... I hear voices, you know that. Soemtimes they`re loud, sometimes they`re not. The voices are bad. They don`t mean I`m crazy, but when they get too strong, they can overpowers your mind and control your body. I have a mental shield that I have to maintain to keep them out. When I don`t... well then they can get through. When they get through, bad things can happen. Ginny has actually removed my mind from me once to make it go away, but it was only temperary. My quick-fix is cutting my arm."
She held her arms up as evidence. "Is there anything else you want to know." She asked.
Aiden sat on the end of the bed, and listened to what she said. He had a frown the entire time she spoke. After she was finished he began to think of something to say. He began to recall earlier when she had cut her arm and passed out.
"What do the voices say exactly?" Aiden asked after a few long minutes of thinking. He closed his eyes slowly, and leane back some..
This was the one question she had hoped he wouldn`t ask. They said things, horible things. Things that no one should have to listen to all of the time.
"Oh, it differs from spirit to spirit." Stacey said quickly, looking down. "Sometimes they try to threaten me, others are worried about something or someone they left behind. They know I can hear them, so they`re attracted to me." It`s not that she lied as she spoke, but Stacey just didn`t want to have to say the bad parts.
Aiden looked up at her face. Alot of emotions ran through him now, but the most apparent one was sadness. Not for something Stacey had done, but for the fact that she had to go through this every day.
Aiden held her hand softly. He didn't know how to reply now. He merely took her hand, and kissed it softly. He hoped it would comfort Stacey in some way. It was the only way he knew how right now.
"Aiden, please don`t feel bad, okay?" Stacey asked, raising her eyes to meet his. "Please? I guess part of the reason I didn`t want you to know the bad stuff was because I was afraid of how you would feel. See, I can handle this stuff. I have to, and I can. Don`t blame yourself, and don`t do anything different than you normaly do." Stacey begged quickly. She didn`t know how soon Ginny would come back.
"I don`t want to be treated differently becasue I hear voices, Aiden. I want to be normal. It sounds silly, but I just want to be with you."
Aiden stared at her longingly. He wanted to explain that everything to be okay. That she wouldn't have to worry about a thing. He wished that he could fix this.
Aiden sighed quietly. "I will. I'll act the same way I do. For you. However...on one condition" He added more quietly "You have to tell me when they are getting bad." He told Stacey. Aiden held her hand, and rubbed his thumb over her palm.
Stacey nodded and blinked quickly a few times. Stupid tears! "Of course, but Aiden, they were never bad until he showed up." She jerked her head towards the door where Niles had disappeared.
"You don`t have to worry about the voices, my moon."
Aiden looked out the large doors that Niles had left through. He looked down at the hospital bed, and gripped the sides tightly again. Niles was making him very angry. He had been here all but a few hours, and had already caused so much things.
"I love you." He said suddenly, trying to reassure her that everything would be okay.
Stacey laughed once, but she didn`t really know why, especially since it wasn`t really the time for laughing. "I love you too, Aiden. More than most people think. But don`t worry about me, really." She lifted her hand to Aiden`s chin and made him look at her.
Aiden looked at her while strong emotions running through him. However, only a frown appeared across his face. He blinked a few times before speaking.
"I don't blame you for anything. Not even for not telling me all this time. You had your reasons and I supposed I should learn to respect that." Aiden told her quietly.
Stacey shook her head quickly. "No, Aiden. I should have told you. I don`t know why I didn`t." she squeezed his hand. I never should have not told you." She locked her eyes with his. "If anyone should be sorry, it should be me. If anyone should have anything to be upset about, it should be you."
Aiden looked at Stacey, and shook his head slowly. "I understand why you think that. However, I'm okay. You on the other hand..." He pointed quietly, shaking his head again.
He held her hand gently, and looked at Stacey as she sat in the hospital bed. This was the worst position he thought he would ever want to see her in.
Stacey rolled her eyes. She could tell that Aiden was still worried about her. "Aiden, I`m fine, really. The only thing wrong with me right now is my arm`s a little sore and I`m a little tired." She said, nodded her head as she spoke.
"But that doesn`t mean that I want you to leave!" She added quickly. She leaned forward to wrap her arms around him. "I don`t want you to go."
Aiden gave her a reassuring smile, and hugged her back gently. He was suprised that she was able to move so much after being passed out. Maybe she was recovering quicker than he expected...
"Don't worry my love. I won't leave until you want me to. However, Ginny may come back." He said, still having his arms wrapped around her.
Stacey smiled and nodded. "I know." She turned her head to look at the door. Ginny had left in a hurry, without saying anything and it seemed like she was upset. She had never seen Ginny truely sad, although she knew everyone did sometime in their life.
"But we have until then." She said softly.
Aiden turned to have a swift glance at the door Niles and Ginny had escaped through. He shrugged, and turned towards Stacey.
"That is true." He agreed quietly. However, he didn't want to spend the entire time trying to make up for things. "How are you feeling?"
"I`m fine." Stacey assured, looking down at her arm. She scratched at the bandage at her elbow. "I just wish I could get this thing off." She began picking at the edges of it, but her ears were trained on the hall.
Aiden looked at Stacey trying to unwrap the bandage from her wrist with her good hand. He took her hand and looked at Stacey. He shook his head again slowly.
"Stacey...your never going to heal if you mess with your wrist." He told her quietly.
Stacey wrinkled her nose the way she always used to. "So?" She asked softly, holding back a smile. She moved her fingers around she that she was holding his hand. "It`ll heal just fine, especially with What`s-Her-Face giving me medicine." She jerked her head in the direction of the nurse.
Aiden couldn't help but smile at the way she reffered to the nurse. "She is only trying to help." He told Stacey, patting her hurt hand very softly. His eyes were beginning to turn to their normal shade now.
Stacey caressed the side of his face. "Oh, I know. But I hate having help like this." She looked down at her arm with a not-so-happy expression. "I`m used to running around, back and forth all day. Not sitting down. And Ginny will probably make sure that I don`t get out of this bed for a week!"
Aiden looked at her with an unhappy expression. "Not only Ginny. I'm going to make sure that you're all better before you leave this bed." He said, directing his hand toward her wrist.
Stacey moaned in protest and fell back onto her pillow. He hair fell around her face, but like she cared. "I`m going to go crazy if I do get out any time soon!" She exclaimed.
Aiden bit his lip, and scooted over so he was sitting beside her. He ran his hand through Stacey's hair. "I'm sorry. I don't know what else to do." He said helplessly.
Stacey sighed and took his hand. "You don`t have to do anything, Aiden. I already love you so much, nothing can change that. I`ll be fine. I can assure you that I`ve had worse." The time when she had been taken by Neo immediatly came to mind. Good thing she always carried a knife.
Aiden frowned and looked into her eyes. That fact that she had worse didn't comfort him. He patted her uninjured hand softly.
With her injured hand, she took Aiden`s hand firmly. "Aiden, I promise you that I`m not as fragile as you think. I`ve killed people before. I`ve almost been killed myself." Her eyes were perfectly serious and her voice was too, although she lowered it so that only /aiden could hear it.
"I`m more than glad that you care about me, but please don`t worry. There is a difference. Please, don`t worry. I`ll recover quickly, and then it will be like I`ve never been hurt before."
Aiden looked at Stacey and tried to compose his facial expression. "Alright.." He agreed, "I won't worry." He held her hand softly.
Stacey sat up and hugged Aiden tightly. "I love you. I hope you know that, because I love you so much, I don`t know what I would do without you." She whispered.
Aiden kissed her on the cheek, and hugged her more softly than normal. "I love you" Headded quietly, "so very much, and I can't live without you."
Stacey smiled. Ginny would be coming back soon, and she would be forced to deal with new dressings for her arm. She didn`t like being injured. It had always made her feel vunerable and breakable, and she had been raised and become used to being powerfull.
"Aiden, tell me what you think of when you think of the future." She asked, laying back down onto her large pillow, and scooting over so that Aiden could lay beside her. Without changing her expression or posture at all she put a mental block around herself and Aiden, the strongest she could muster. She didn`t feel up to Ginny, or anyone else, overhearing her conversation and thoughts, even if Ginny thought them to little and insignificant to take a second glance at.
Aiden leaned back, and layed beside her however best he could in the small hospital bed. He wanted her to be comfortable.
"How do you mean?" He asked Stacey thoughtfully. He began to trace random lines over the pillow as he tried to understand Stacey's question.
Stacey shrugged, playing with his fingers. "I don`t know. Tell me something about yourself I don`t know yet. Tell me what you think of when you hear about the future. Say what you want to, just please tell me something to get my mind off of picking this stupid bandage off of my skin!"
"Honestly, when I think about the future...I think of you. Because you are my future, and thats what I look forward to. Understand that I can't wait to spend my future with you." Aiden explained as well as he could.
Stacey smiled and look up to meet Aiden`s eyes. "Aw, that`s so sweet." She said, gently squeezing his hand.
Aiden shrugged his shoulders modestly. "Its the truth. Your the only one I want to be with love." He said. Aiden held her hand, and kissed Stacey's palm softly.
Ginny came out from the nurses' office with a grim look. She stopped a few feet from Stacey's bed and nodded at Aiden.
"Ok kids. Time to say goodnight. Stacey needs to be checked up by the nurse. I'll walk you to your common room Aiden, so you don't get into any trouble." ((Assuming it's nighttime?))
Her cheeks were slightly pink, the rest of her face pale. Her eyes were bright, as if she'd been holding back tears. She jerked her head towards the door, somehow managing her voice to stay steady despite how upset she still looked.
"Kiss goodnight and let's go."
Stacey wrinkled her nose, partially because Aiden would have to leave and partially because she wanted to know what was up with Ginny. She had hardely ever seen Ginny pset or unable to completely hide her true feelings. She had known Ginny long enough to know that something was bothering her.
Shaking it off for the moment, she turned her head back towards Aiden. "Goodnight, my moon." She whispered, squeezing his hand. Despite having know Ginny for a long time, she still didn`t feel exactly up to have her hearing this.
Aiden turned to pick up her hand and kiss it softly. "Goodnight love. Try to get some rest." He told her quietly. He slowly got up, and stood next to Ginny.
Aiden turned to give Stacey a short smile before leaving. As he turned towards the door he noticed Ginny's disturbed expression. Something was definatly wrong. However, he felt it wasn't his place to ask her what. He slowly began to walk towards the door with a curious expression.
Stacey balled her hands into loose fists. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Already, as Aiden got farther away, her something inside her was getting unsettled. It happened every time she was away from Aiden. It seemed like the more she was away the worse it got, and her mother taking her out of school for weeks at a time didn`t help either.
As Aiden left, Stacey opened her eyes and looked up to Ginny. "Okay, Ginny, I want to know what`s wrong." Her voice was soft and obviously worried, but anyone who knew her could hear that she wanted an answer.
Ginny waved a hand at Stacey dismissively.
"Nothing. get some rest and do as the nurse says. I'll be by tomorrow to check up on you, and if all goes right, then you can get out of this place." She managed a smile at Stacey before she too turned and followed Aiden out the door.
"What house do you belong in, Aiden?" Ginny asked, sticking her hands in her pockets and forcing herself to sound completely casual.
Stacey crossed her arms. She didn`t particulary like it when people didn`t say what was wrong when clearly something was.
"He`s in Gryffindor!" She shouted, giving the nurse a sour glance. Her eyes flickered between and aggrivated red and an empty green.
Aiden turned his head to Ginny as she spoke to him. He closed the door behind them, and began to walk towards his dorm. He only briefly heard Stacey's word and he grinned a little.
"I belong to Gryffindor." He said, trying to sound casual. However, he could tell something was wrong with Ginny.
"What house did you belong to when you when to Hogwarts?" Aiden asked, curious now. He slowed down his pace to match hers.
"Gryffindor." Ginny shrugged one shoulder, "Of course, by the time I was a Third Year, houses stopped mattering." She shrugged. The years from the time Ginny was 11 to the time she was 15 had been a world altering time. She doubted Aiden knew much about such things, though. He would have been a small child during those years.
"From then on, everyone was in everyone's common rooms. Everybody knew all the passwords, and passwords were hardly even a formality then." She chuckled, "Scary and desperate times called for everyone to need someone to be close to."
Aiden listened to Ginny. He was quiet for a moment, pondering about how Hogwarts would have been like if he were born in Ginny's time. He couldn't imagine Hogwarts being any different than it was now.
To him, Hogwarts was like his home away from home. In fact, it was his only real home. The only place he felt actually comfortable at. His thoughts began to wonder something else.
Aiden turned to Ginny as they walked. "If you don't mind me asking, why did you retire from being a teacher?" He asked her suddenly.
"First time or second time?" Ginny shot a grin at him, shrugging. She was only 22, how many times could she have been a teacher, really? The truth was, she'd dropped out of school when she was 15, became a substitute teacher in addition to all her other part time jobs, and then left at 17. Then she came back about a year ago, then left. It was a confusing teaching career that even her parents had trouble remembering.
"Same reason both times, actually. Kinda." She shook her head, "The first time I was pregnant. Cody's dad was missing and I feared for my life as well as that of the unborn child's. I went into hiding. The second time, I was pregnant again and decided I wanted to stay home with Meliody after she was born."
Ginny sighed, "Hard decision. I love this school. I love every student that has ever walked through here. I'm connected to it. But I needed to do right by my children."
Aiden nodded with a thoughtful expression on his face. If he was in that postion, it would be an extremely hard decision to make. He could only imagine what Ginny had gone through.
"That must have been a difficult decision to make...it would have been for me." He said, making his thoughts vocal.
Aiden continued to walk by Ginny. He was absorbed in his thoughts again. Her brief mentioning of Cody brought a new question into mind.
"You know, I've met Cody before. He seems like a special kid." Aiden pointed out quietly, making it seem as if he implied more than what his words portrayed.
