She couldn't believe it. She really just couldn't believe it. How fast had time gone? Just a year ago she was new to this school and couldn't wait for her graduation. But now...she wanted it to go slower. In nearly two months she would receive a diploma and be done with Hogwarts. She would no longer be a student to attend here. She was already an adult.
Sky laid back onto the soft, warm, freshly cut grass that covered the few hills on the school grounds. She closed her eyes tight and groaned. "Too fast...." She mumbled, placing the back of her wrist over her shut eyes as the sun beat down on her. Today was particularly warm. April had been rather bi-polar so far, having a few showers and a little snow. Today was nice though. Nice enough to wear a black tank top and some green shorts like she did. Sky kicked off her shoes and let down her hair from a pony tail, listening to the sounds of the lake further along the grounds, trying to relax her racing mind.
There were just so many thoughts. She struggled to think about what would happen after school. Would she move around here? Or would she leave the area--travel a little? Should she pursue furthering her schooling? Or perhaps start a job right after. She didn't even know what she really wanted to do. Well...she kind of did. She never thought about it before, but she actually considered being a traveling doctor or...to draw. She loved to play her guitar and sing though. But that wasn't where her heart was..at least for now..
She groaned again. "Too fast...too fast." She mumbled again, repeating the words to herself as if it could slow things down. But that wouldn't happen. Sky sat up suddenly and looked up at the clouds, as if expecting a sign to lead her down her path.

"I`m sorry." Jason said softly. "I didn`t mean to disturb you." He was seated a few feet from Sky, his legs crossed and his elbows resting on his knees. His head was tilted and a small smile was on his face. "Hello, by the way." He added, flashing a perfect smile and with laughter in his voice.
He wore a brown long-sleeved shirt and long dark jeans. He appeared to be perfectly comfortable, even though the temperature was close to seventy or higher.
Sky hadn't noticed the boy sitting just a few feet away from her. Her mind was on other things. She could distracted so easily sometimes. "You didn't disturb me." Sky said, looking at him. She smiled at him. A warm smile. Like she was happy to be talking to him or something. "Hello." She said cheerfully. "How are you this fine day?"
Jason smiled. "I am doing very well, how about yourself?" He asked, quickly but easily changing the topic to one different from himself. He seemed not to notice the heat that would have boiuled a person in his clothes.
"I'm alright. What brings you here?" She asked curiously.
Jason clecnched his teeth together for a moment before answering. "Oh, it`s a nice day. Warm." His voice trailed off and his cold nature that he had become so accustomed to leaked through.
"Do you want to go for a walk?" Sky asked him, studying his face for a moment. "Or a swim?"
Jason stared at the ground for a while, thinking. If they went for a swim, it would be stupid for him to have his long sleeved shirt on, and no shirt meant that his Dark Mark would show.
"How about a walk." He said softly, glancing up to meet Sky`s eyes.
"That sounds lovely. I was kind of hoping you would say that." She said with a soft smile. When he glanced at her eyes, Sky felt a sudden twist in her stomach. No. She thought. I can't possibly..
Jason smiled, his mood seemingly bright again. "Well, then where shall we go?" He asked, standing up and holding his hand out to help Sky up. "I`m sure you`ve been most places, but so have I, so you can decide." He offered softly.
She graciously took his hand and stood up, gently releasing it. "I really don't care where we go. What is your favorite place to be?"
Jason dropped his hands to his side casually and shrugged in reply to the question. He started off in a random direction, which happened to be towards the forest.
"I like the forest the best. It`s mysterious and strange." He said with a soft grin and twinkle in his eyes.
"I love the forest." Sky said as she caught up to him, walking steadily beside him. She shook her long, soft black hair up a little, giving it a sort of curly-ish look. "It's so full of wonder.... Always something interesting to find." Her eyes looked at him, studying him again, before looking down at the grass.
Jason really smiled now. He had felt Sky`s eyes on him, but didn`t react in any way. "Yeah, always something... new." He replied, seemingly more to himself than to Sky.
Sky was quiet for a little bit. As they walked, she would stare at the trees, the clouds, the rodents that roamed the area. Yet her mind was elsewhere. And she couldn't understand why. She looked back at Jason, the twisted feeling returning again. She shook it off.
"So what's new?" She asked casually as she walked on.
Jason was getting weary of the silence. Silence meant thinking, and thinking meant someone might guess. Suessing was never good. He had to keep his secret a secret. Only a choice few people knew about his secret and they either had the same mark or had sifted through his mind enough to know he meant no harm.
"Well, nothing really. There`s a Potions test day after tomorrow." He shrugged, turning his head slightly to meet Sky`s eyes.
Sky nodded. "I have that test too. Not too thrilled." She put her hand to her right arm, her hand covering the scar instinctively not on purpose. She didn't bother hiding it anymore. Everyone knew what she had been. "Eww.....I have a muggle studies test tomorrow too. Math." She groaned and made a funny face.
Jason chuckled quietly, pretending to ignore Sky`s movement. "Yeah, I have math, too." He smiled. The twinkle had returned to his eyes-- the twinkle that had been so absent from his look. "So, what do you like to do in your free time?" He asked, trying to make conversation.
She looked at him and shrugged. "I don't really do it anymore...but I like to sing with my guitar. It's got to be covered in dust right now. What about you? What do you like to do?"
Jason laughed again. "Guitar. I never learned guitar and I`d probably break something if I sang." He thought for a moment, trying to think of a resonable hobby. "I like to read." He said. "Read everything and anything."
She laughed lightly at his musical comment. "I'm sure you have a lovely voice." Sky said and then quickly moved onto the reading subject. "Reading is fun. Can't resist a good book myself."
Jason`s eyes gleamed again as Sky slipped on the singing comment. "I`ve read almost everything in the library. Now I have to buy books instead." He smiled.
"You can have some of my books. I have a lot in my dorm." Sky actually read a lot more often these days. She wasn't constantly in a book, but she had atleast seven a month. Comparing that to a Slytherin, then you could call her a book worm.
Jason nodded. "Sure, thank you. But I`ll make sure I get them back to you." He promised. "So what else do you do?" He asked.
She smiled. "No problem." Sky stepped on a branch with a loud Snap. "I like to walk about. I don't really hang out with anyone so I spend a lot of time out here."
Jason looked down to the gound as the twig snapped. He was walking nimbly over the branches, barely disturbing them. "Doesn`t sound like you get out much." He teased lightly. "But neither do I, so it`s all good." He grinned.
Why was he acting like this? Sky didn`t know about his Dark Mark. She would probably freak out like everyone else-- even though Voldemort was dead, people still feared his reamining followers.
She stuck her tongue out at him. "I do get out.. It's just that the people whome I used to be friends with before have moved on. They are a lot younger than me and have fun with people their own age." She shrugged. "Oh well."
Sky could feel something. Tension. Like...he was holding back something. She was always pretty good as sensing something like that. But she didn't ask.
Jason smiled again, but it didn`t reach his eyes. He kept walking, keeping his eyes on the ground. He, too, could feel tension in the air. It was subtle, was it was surely there. "So what do you do when you do go out?" He asked, trying to keep the conversation going.
She thought about the question for a minute. Sky did a lot of things. "It depends on what you mean by going out. Like walking? Or with friends?"
Jason shrugged slowly, searching Sky`s mind and finding that she hadn`t thought of what he had thought she had. "Both, if you don`t mind." He said, the complete gentleman.
"Well..." She began, the word trailing off into a short pause. "When I'm with friends, I like to go out and get a drink. I like to see how things are going and maybe have a little fun. When I'm walking, I'm just exploring the area, looking for something new." Sky yawned as a small feeling of tiredness hit her. "What do you do when you go out?" Sky asked.
Jason froze. When he was out, he looked for others of his kind, tracked animals in the Forest, and tried to find out anything he could about the remaining Death Eater. He used to kill. He never went out with friends, until he met Sky, of course.
""The same." He said, glaring down at the drink in front of him.
"I see." Sky played with a strand of her hair, twisting it around her long slender finger. "Do you have a dream?" She asked him, suddenly releasing the strand of hair.
Jason suddenly lifted the tankard and took a long sip from it. "Yes, I suppose you could call it that." He said softly, not meeting Sky`s gaze.
What was he doing here? With a girl, none the less. He could tell her, he couldn`t tell anybody. Only Ginny and Lavy knew, but they were with him. He meant no harm, but people wouldn`t wait to hear his explanation.
"My dream is to be free." He answered before she could ask. "Be free of everything. Just be myself in some little place. To be happy, I guess." His voice trailed off.
She knew what he meant. It took her a long time to earn her freedom.
"So you want to be free?" She asked. "From what?"

Jason swallowed slowly. He turned his head slightly and ran his hand through his hair. He balled his other hand at his knee. He clenched his jaw and unclenched it many times before he replied.
"Free from the demons that haunt me." He replied after about a minute of silence. Obviously he didn`t mean realy demons, but his own personnal demons.
Demons? Sky repeated the word in her head. She wanted to know what kind of demons. She wanted to know her secret. It was her natural curiosity but she didn't want to ask. It was obviously something difficult.
She didn't say anything. She didn't know what else to say..what do bring up? To talk about? The only thing on her mind was the demon.
Jason cleared his throat softly, hearing Sky`s thoughts as if they were his own. He had to get away, he was too close to telling her and he didn`t know if he could trust her.
"I thank you Miss Mason, ((Is that right?)) but I think I must go now." He said politely as he stood. up.
((Oh, and follow him if he`s important to you!!))
She didn't want him to go. Did she say something? Did she not talk enough. Sky felt so shy for some reason around him. She nodded. "It was nice speaking to you." She felt so stupid. She watched as he stood up and considered following him. Maybe... Would he get mad if he caught her?
She had to know his secret.

Jason nodded curtly, hearing her thoughts once again, then walked swiftly between the tables and out the door. She wanted to know, but would she trust him? Would she be scared of him, of what he could do, of what he did? There were too many questions for him to answer. He made his way down the narrow street, away from the school.

Sky listened to his footsteps and then quietly followed his path, making sure her footsteps were silent. She peered around a building, her eyes catching site of him.
Jason stopped at the edge of town and put his back to the last building before the town gave way to trees. He put his head in his hands. He couldn`t believe it; he had been so close to pushing up his left sleeve. He shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts.
Sky, the only person he had really befriended, had intoxicated him to the pint of almost losing his tongue.
Sky sighed. She knew he was in pain. It wasn't worth seeing him like this to find a secret. He needed to think. To be alone. But...hadn't he been alone long enough? She glanced at him once more, his head was in his hands. She didn't want to see him like this. Actually...she wanted to be there with him. She wanted to help him. But she couldn't. She turned, deciding it wasn't right to spy on him and began walking. She ran into an aluminum trash can though, knocking it over with a huge crash. She quickly turned her head to see if Jason heard her. She was in plain sight now.

Jason looked up at the sound of the crash and rounded the corner to see Sky standing there. "Uh, hello." He offered.
Sky panicked.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bother you--I was just..." She stuttered as she scrambled to pick the trashcan back up.
"Wait." Jason said loudly. He slowly walked closer to Sky until he was only a couple feet away. "Why did you follow me?" He asked, his dark eyes meeting hers with a burning gaze.
She couldn't meet his gaze. She stared at her shoes.
"I...I wanted..." She focused on a scuff mark on the white tip of her black converse. "I wanted to know your secret." She finally looked into his eyes. His dark blue eyes.
Jason took one step closer to Sky. He took a deep breath trhough his nose and exhaled heavily. "Do you really want to know?" He asked, his expression perfectly serious, but it was a mask. He was scared inside. Something made him want to please Sky, not scare her away.
Sky didn't understand why she felt this way. She didn't want to know. She needed to know. It felt so important to her. She looked at him seriously, but gently.
"Yes." Was all she could say.
He closed his eyes and sighed softly. "Do you trust me?" He asked now, holding out his hand for her to take, or to not take.
She looked at him for a moment and then took his hand.
"I trust you."
Jason took another deep breath and started walking to the forest at a brisk pace. He led her into the thick cover of the trees until he couldn`t see the shops any more. He let go of her hand and stepped away. He began pacing and ran his hand through his hair again.
"I promise you that I mean no harm to you or anyone here. Ginny and Lavy know why I`m here, and that`s what matters, right?" He asked, seemingly more to himself than Sky.
She watched him pace. This must be difficult. Beyond difficult for him.
"I know Jason." She exhaled quietly. "I trust you."
Jason stood in front of Sky, a few feet away. His hair was messy from running his hands through it. With another breath he pushed up his left sleeve to reveal his Dark Mark, the mark that branded him as a Death Eater.
His intense eyes were trained on Sky, watching her carefully. How would she react?
Sky gasped and took a step back. Not out of fear, but in shock. Now she knew the importance of this. Now it was clear. She closed her eyes and pulled up her sleeve as well, revealing a huge burn on her arm. She had burned the mark that used to be on her arm when she became free.
"I...was one." She said painfully. And for some reason...she cried. She didn't sob or anything drastic. But tears poured out of her eyes and she couldn't control it. It came on its own.
Jason pulled his sleeve down, too shocked. "But... how did you burn it off?" He asked. "The Marks are supposed to be unremovable. You`re traced through your mark." He was entirely confused. Sky had been a Death Eater?
For some reason that made him... happy. She would understand.
Sky shrugged, pulling her sleeve down and wiping her eyes. "I tried everything I could. I tried magical spells. I almost cut it off because I hated it so much. For some reason..it worked. I'm not..really sure..why."
Jason stepped forward and wrapped his arms around Sky in a hug. He felt much happier than he should right now, but he couldn`t help it. Sky had been a Death Eater, so she wasn`t going to run from him like everyone else would.
Sky was caught off-guard by the hug. So many emotions had run through her. Yet..she felt happy too. She smiled and wrapped her arms around him, embracing him in return.
Someone who understands..
Jason remembered that he had just met Sky and he tore away, taking three large steps back so they were a respectable distance apart. He cleared his throat. "I`m, uh, sorry." He said, looking down to the uneven ground.
He felt like a new person almost. He felt much happier than he could remember being in a long time.
Sky wrapped her hands around her arms and giggled quietly. "It's alright." She said, looking at the ground also. Only her cheeks were a bright shade of pink.
Jason grinned to the ground before looking up to meet Sky`s eyes. "So,uh... do you want to go get dinner or something? It`s getting kind of late." He offered.
"Sure." Sky said, looking at him and smiling. She wiped her eyes once more to make sure they were definitely rid of tears. She looked into his eyes and could see that he was happy. That made her happy.
Jason nodded and started back towards the small town, his arms at his sides. "So, does anyone else know about... oyur scar?" He asked, deciding that would be the safest way to put it.
"A few people do." Sky said. "The ones I used to be friends with. I wear short sleeves a lot, so I get people who ask where the burn came from, but nobody really knows what it is."
((Okay, I just realized that this thing started near the Lake, and I just magically made it at a bar in Hogsmead.))
Jason nodded. "No one knows about mine, except from Ginny, Lavy, and you." He gave a short smile. "Actually, they cornered me and forced it out of me." He said lightly. At least it was almost true. They soon broke out of the trees and were in view of the town again.
((It's okay lol. I do that sometimes too.))
Sky looked at Jason. "I'm really glad you told me. That you trust me enough to tell me." She glanced at the different houses and shops as they walked on.
"Yeah." Jason mumbled. His stomach fluttered. It wasn`t trust that had made him tell Sky his most dangerous secret. It was something else. Something he couldn`t put his finger on.
"I`m just glad you didn`t run away screaming."
Sky laughed.
"I'm not usually like that. Now..if you pulled a spider out of your pocket or something, then I would run off screaming like a banshee. I hate spiders." She smiled to herself. He was opening up. Finally. No tension.
Jason laughed. Laughed. That was probably his first smile in three years, let alone a laugh.
"Yea, well I don`t think I`ll be pulling out spiders or anything." He assured as they got farther into town. "Where would you like to eat?" He asked kindly, looking around.
Sky looked at all of the restaurants that resided in the area. "I'm up for anything." She said. "Where would you like to go?"
Jason shook his head. "You`re the lady, you can decide." He insisted, reverting back to his gentleman ways.
"Honestly." Sky said. "You choose." She looked at him with puppy eyes. "Pweeeeaaase?"
Jason laughed again. "No. I`m going to insist on paying for your tab, so please, pick the place." He said with a gleam in his eye.
"I can pay for my meal." Sky insisted. She decided to make things easy and let him win.
"How about that place?" She pointed to a decent brick restaurant that didn't look too expensive.
"Sure," He agreed, "But I offered to go to dinner, so I`ll pay for it." He insisted.
"Are you sure you want to do that?" She asked. "Gee. I feel like I'm actually on a date." Sky joked and grinned as she walked with him to the restaurant.
Jason looked down to the wooden floor as he followed her in. "Yeah, sure." He said softly. He was suddenly very glad that he could hold back the blush.
She took a seat at a table and looked around. There were a ton of old photographs nailed to the walls of the restaurant. Sky could recognize one having professor Dumbledore in some of them.
"So what are you getting?" She asked Jason curiously.
Jason shrugged after he seated himself across from Sky. He started to drum his finders on the table as he looked at the photographs. "Probably a chocolate milkshake, a bacon cheeseburger, and fries." He said. "Go ahead and get whatever you want." He loved Wizard restraunts; they had every kind of food imaginable.
"Not to be unoriginal, but that's exactly what I would get. So I'm going to go with that." Sky said as sat up in her chair.
Jason turned his ehad to meet Sky`s eyes. "Are you serious?" He asked.
Under the table he had his hands fisted over his knees. He bobbed his knees up and down to a silent tune. His thumbs tapped lightly against his kneecaps.
Sky nodded with a bright grin. "Yupp. That's a typical meal for me." She found herself humming a quiet tune without even thinking.
Jason smiled. "Cool, cool." He said softly. "So what else do yuo do in your free time?" He asked.
"I really don't do a whole lot. Basically everything I told you." She looked at him. "Do you do anything else?" She asked Softly.
Jason hesitated. "Besides spying on them when I get the chance, no." He asked softly. Conversation seemed to flow very easily with Sky. He had barely talked to anyone in the couple years he had been at Hogwarts.
So he spied on them. That had to be a dangerous job. She was impressed by his courage.
"You're a brave one."
Jason shrugged. "It`s not so bad, especially since he`s not alive." He glanced around the busy restraunt quickly. A thin woman came near their table.
"Can I get you two anything to drink?" She asked kindly.
Sky looked at the thin waitress and nodded.
"Can I have a small chocolate milkshake please?" She asked politely.
"The same for me." Jason said quickly.
"Okay, and are you guys ready to order?" She asked, taking out a small notepad.
"Jason tilted his head towards Sky and smiled. "Two bacon cheeseburgers and fries." He replied slowly.
"Thank you so much." Sky said to Jason. "This is really nice of you."
Jason smiled, the waitress having already disappeared. "No problem." He replied, giving her a short smile before looking back to the pictures. He wasn`t really used to being around other people.
Sky played with a black bracelet on her wrist, gently snapping it against her skin.
Jason cleared his throat after a few minutes, but decided againt saying something. He suddenly felt self-conscious about himself.
When he cleared his throat, Sky looked up naturally, waiting to see if he was going to say something, but there was silence. She looked down at her bracelet again.
"Death eaters killed my parents." She said quietly. "Yet I ended up joining them."
Jason looked up, surprised, when Sky spoke. He thought for a moment, then replied. "My parents died warning me of them, yet here I sit." He rubbed his left forearm. The mark still burned from time to time, which didn`t make him feel at ease.
"I'm sorry." She said sympathetically without looking up. Sky remained quiet for another moment and spoke again.
"I feel like a traitor to my family. I don't understand why I joined them...." Her tone was suddeny pained and she felt her throat tighten.
Jason leaned forward slightly, putting his elbows on the table. "It`s okay, I understand how you feel..... They can make you think things that.. aren`t entirely true." He said, trying to be reassuring. He lifted his dark brown eyes to meet Sky`s and his stomach jumped.
Sky looked down at the table and then into his eyes. Her stomach seemed to be full of butterflies, fluttering around. She had finally met someone who knew what she had been through, who had understood the pain she felt, and she found someone who could actually...comfort her.
Jason kept Sky`s gaze unblinking. Unconsiously he leaned forward a fraction of an inch.
"Here you go." The waitress interupted, setting a plate in front of both of them. Jason leaned back quickly, looking down at his hands.
"Thank you very much." She said to the waitress when she had laid down her plate. She looked down at her meal. It looked pretty good. Not too greasy. She took a light sip of her milkshake and smiled as she dipped a french fry in it.
Jason watched Sky stick her fry in the milkshake. "Okay, ew." He said with a smirk. He grabbed the katsup and twirled the bottle between his fingers before squirting an amount on his plate.

"What?" Sky said, looking at him with the fry in her hand. She grinned and then slowly stuck the fry, loaded with chocolate milkshake, and stuck it in her mouth.
"It's actually quite tasty."
Jason smiled. "I think I`ll just take your word for it." He grinned, sticking a ketchupped fry into his mouth.
Sky smirked and proceeded to her bacon cheeseburger.
Jason watched SKy for a moment, then picked up his own burger. After a few minutes os silent of a few more fries, he glanced at his shake.
Sky quietly continued to eat her burger, wiping her mouth after each biting with her napkin to ensure a clean, stainless mouth.
Jason watched Sky for a few moments, continuing to eat his fries, then quickly swooped one into his shake and stuffed it into his mouth. He chewed it for a moment, then made a face.
Sky snorted and laughed.
"Not your favorite huh?"
Jason looked up to Sky, still making a face. "I told you, I would take your word for it. I should have listened to myself." He said, taking a long drink of his shake, without essence `o fry.
Sky smiled to herself and finished her meal after a few more minutes. Once she was done, she popped a spearmint-mint into her mouth to take away the greasy after taste.
Jason soon finished his meal too and the waitress came back. "Can I get you two any dessert?" She asked, seeting the check on the table, which Jason quickly placed four gold coins over.
He looked at Sky. "You can get soemthing if you want." He offered.
"No thanks. This milkshake was plenty." She set a a large gold coin on the table. "I've got the tip."
Jason rolled his eyes at Sky. "No dessert for us." He said to the waitress before taking a final sip of his milkshake. "So..." He said after the thin woman had walked away to get his change.
"Would you like to go walk?" She asked him.
"Sure." He said. His stomach twisted and he stretched his long arms and ran his fingers through his hair.
Sky slowly got out of her seat, pushing her seat in quietly.
Jason stood carefully and pushed his chair in. He walked to the door and held it open for Sky.

Sky walked through. "Thanks." She looked around. It was getting dark. The sun was setting. It looked beautiful though. She looked at Jason, the way the remaining sunlight hit him. She blushed as she affection seemed to grow.

Jason nodded and followed her outside. He squinted in the sunlight that would soon disappear and glanced at Sky to find her looking at him. He smiled shortly then looked away. What was going on? She had been a Death Eater, too, so she wasn`t going to tell anyone, but it seemed like... she didn`t want to leave.
"Maybe we could just walk to the school. It's going to be dark soon and I don't want to be fighting off any werewolves tonight." She said and then smiled.
She felt dumb. She had gone all goo-goo eyed on him since she first laid eyes on him. She wondered if he noticed... What did he think of her? She sighed quietly to herself and began walking.
"I would protect you from any werewolves." The words slipped out of his mouth before he could think. He looked away and this time he couldn`t hold back the fierce blush that rose in his cheeks. He had heard what Sky had thought, he just couldn`t believe what he heard.
She didn't see him blush, but she turned pink herself when said that. She wished she could hide that blush.
Jason cleared his throat after a moment. "Um, I`m sorry." He apologized softly, not meeting her gaze. He suddenly wished he could be better versed.
Sky stopped and looked at his dark blue eyes with her gray. "Why are you sorry?" She asked him.
Jason quickly stopped and met her gaze. "I... I don`t know." He said softly.
"You shouldn't be sorry." Sky whispered. "You said something really nice." She looked down at her shoes.
Jason was caught off guard, surprised. He locked eyes with Sky, saying nothing for a long moment. "Th--thank you." He mumbled.
Sky looked back up, locking her eyes with his as well and nodded, her lips curving into a small, shy smile.
Jason gave a small smile then turned took a step back. "So, where would you like to go, now?" He asked kindly.
"Anywhere you'd like." She said. "I picked the restaurant. What do you want to do?"
Jason shrugged and didn`t move. "Can you control any of the elements?" He asked.
Sky shook her head. "I'm afraid I can't. I was born without any special powers."
Jason smiled, the awkwardness gone. "Well then, I can show you a few tricks you`ll never be able to do." He teased.
Sky stuck out her tongue. "Sure. Go ahead and show me."

Jason lughed quietly. "Com on then." He said, leading her toward the Forbidden Forest. He had almost taken her hand again, but her thoughts made him shy away.
She followed him. What kind of tricks did he want to show her? It was almost completely dark now. It was something with the elements, she figured.
Jason led Sky about half a mile into the giant trees. He stopped just at the edge of a small clearing. "What`s your favorite color?" He asked with a smile, taking many steps backwards.
"Let's go with...," she thought shortly. "red." What was he up to?
Jason smiled, hearing her think, and turned on his heel. "Red, you say?" He asked, crossing his arms. Red spirals of smoke appeared around the clearing. They slowly grew longer until they touched each other, making an unbroken thread around the clearing, keeping both Jason and Sky in its perimeters.
"What about you`re second favorite color?"
"Well since it's too dark for black, I'm going to have to say..white." She looked at the red thread of smoke. It looked so neat. So pretty.
Jason nodded and white smoke joined the red. They twisted together, never mixing, just joining. "Fireworks or parades? Sun or moon? Rain or shine?" He asked next.
"Fireworks...moon...and..rain." She said between thoughts.
Really...what was he doing?
Jason grinned and raised one hand towards the sky. Red fireworks exploded, illuminated against the night sky. Instead of fizzing out, the sparks rained down white before exploding into numerous small moons. He gave a large smile and turned to face Sky.
"Anything else?" He asked softly.
Sky was astounded. She was in awe by the beautiful masterpiece Jason had just created in mere seconds.
"Jason..this is..this is beautiful!" Her eyes sparkled as the fireworks rained down.
Jason shrugged, not used to praise. "Here, let me see your hand." He said, stepping closer to her. Her took her hand and let his free hand hover over her palm. In a few seconds a brilliant light appeared in her palm and he moved his hand to look at it. It sparkled witht he brilliance of a diamond.
She blushed deeply when he took her hand. She looked at it, wide eyed. He had a lot of talent. Sky looked from the diamond to him. She was speechless.
Jason took a deep breath as her thoughts hit him. The light shining ffrom the magic stone was enoguh to reveal Sky`s blush. "Keep it." He said softly, trailing her fingers over her palm so a silver chain appeared, then she curled her fingers over it all, pulling his hands away.
She looked at the chain in her hands. "T-thank you." She was surprised to be given such a gift. She put it around her neck.
"I had a really great time being with you today." Sky said quietly.
Jason smiled, flashing his white teeth. "You`re welcome. I had a nice time with you, too." He said shyly.
"I just wanted to..er...thank you." Sky said. "This may sound kind of..stupid, but you made me feel so much better about myself just because I know somebody understands now.."
Jason shook his head back and forth. "That doesn`t soudn stupid, I feel the same way. I didn`t know anyone else here had... experienced what I had." He finished, his eyes on hers.
Sky looked up at him and took a slight step closer, not enough for him to really notice.
Jason did notice, he had been trained to notice everything. His only reaction, though, was to lean forward ever so slightly.
Sky felt herself leaning forward as well. Her instincts took control of her.
Jason leaned forward slightly more so that his forhead rested gently on hers. He felt what she felt, but he couldn`t tell the difference in their feelings because he felt the same way.
She softly brought her hand to his cheek. His skin was just as soft as her hands were. She looked into his eyes and finally wasn't blushing but her stomach was turning. She was so nervous, but this was right.
Jason lifted his hand to lightly put over hers, then he reached for her other hand. He felt... calm, right. Like he was finally happy.

Sky smiled, her heart thumping fast. She closed her eyes.
Jason hesitated for a moment, and was greatly happy in the fact that Sky couldn`t hear his thoughts. He leaned forward again and pressed his lips against her softly.
Her heart beat even faster as her leg lifted up and continued to beat just as fast when she pulled back just a few centimeters to look back into those dark blue eyes that seemed to mesmerize Sky. She hoped he couldn't read her thoughts because there were so many flying through her head all at once. She smiled and kissed him back fervently.
Jason smiled as Sky pulled away slightly. He gently squeezed her hand as she kissed him. His heart beat quickly in his chest, not out of fear for once, but of excitement. There was something else there, too, but he couldn`t name it.
Finally, after the kiss, she wrapped her arms around him and hugged him. It was as if..as if he picked up the pieces of her broken heart with that kiss and put the pieces together without any glue. And it wasn't as empty as it was.
Jason grinned again and hugged Sky to himself. He kissed her forehead softly before resting his cheek on her head. "Thank you, and you`re welcome." He said softly, hearing her thoughts clearly. The smoke thread still floated around them, but faintly. The bright sparks had long died, but the magic they brought stayed.
Sky smiled.
Best day..ever! She thought in her head, now knowing he could hear.
Jason laughed for a moment. "I can`t black you for that; it was the same for me." He said, his voice a whisper.
((i have to go. I might be back in an hour or less.))

Sky giggled and sighed happily.
Jason stroaked her hair carefully. "So, is red still your favorite color?" He asked, although he doubted it had changed.
"One of them." She replied softly. Sky loved the feel of him stroking her hair. "What is your favorite color?"
Jason smiled. "Red." He said, pulling away slowly. "Here, let me show you something." He said, taking her hands and sitting down slowly. It was true his favorite color was red, it had been for a long time. But he was almost positive that his reasons for liking red were different from her`s.
As they sat, the two smoke rings slowly tightened around them until there was only about two feet of space between them.
Sky grinned. "So you like red too? It's a symbolic color for many things."
Jason nodded and smiled. "What`s one of your favorite things? Your favorite elements?" He asked, tilting his head slightly.
"I like...my guitar and...I'd have to say fire or earth." Sky looked down and scooped up a pile of dirt, letting it fall between her fingers. "What about you?"
"Earth." He replied thoughtfully. "Here." He said even softer, taking her hand. He rested his first two fingers against her palm and closed his eyes. Slowly he lifted his fingers and a flower grew there instead.
She looked down at the flower and had never seen anything more beautiful. "This is..amazing." Sky whispered, touching the delicate petals.
Jason laughed softly. "This is nothing." He said, motioning to the single flower. He moved his hand so that his palm faced the clearing and within seconds, hundreds of identical flowers began to grow.
"That is something." He said, looking at Sky, not the flowers.
Sky gasped, in awe by the picture laid before her. Her eyes sparkled with the light from the smoke and moon. Then she realized how late it was getting. And then she realized she didn't care. She was content where she was.
Jason smiled. "You haven`t seen much of this kinda thing, have you?" He asked, staring into her beautiful grey eyes.
((I have to go in a minute, I`ll probably be on tommorrow.))
She shook her head. "Not really." Sky whispered, meeting his gaze.
((Oh...okay lol.))
Jason`s smiled widened when Sky met his gaze. "I can tell." He said, making a small orb appear in his palms. He carefully movved it from hand to hand.
((Hey, sorry I haven't been able to get on. My computer is suddenly getting a mass of virus' and I've been trying to fix it. So It'll be awhile before I can get back online. I can get on here at school though. So it's all good.))
She watched the orb, her eyes wide with amazement. "The only thing I have special is my ability to work with magic. I don't have a hard time with spells."
Jason smiled. "Not very many people can do what I can do, even though you have probably seen many people playing with the elements. Really, they`re quite rare. And scientists and doctors so far haven`t found anything common with the people who use them, so it`s basically random." He said, trying to soothe.
Sky grinned, noticing him trying to make her feel better. Truth was, she really didn't mind not having those powers anymore. She was content with her wand. Sky was a lot more advanced than most people her age. One of her professors said that she could do magic better than a forty year old auror. She wasn't so sure, but it did make her feel good. She took her wand out of her pocket and tapped the ground with it's tip. Suddenly, there were hundreds of trials of light coming from the end through the ground, on rocks, and up the trees. The entire clearing with lit of with little strings of yellow light.
Jason nodded and smiled as Sky spoke, but when she tapped her wand to the ground, he turned around as he saw what she wanted in her mind. His grin widened as the thousands of lights appeared. He streatched out to run his fingers through the stings of light.
Sky slowly pulled the wand out of the ground, the light disappearing with it. It was dark except for the bright moon shining through the trees. She smiled and touched his hand.
"This is a night that I'll remember forever." She said. Jason had shown her so many amazing things--beautiful sights. He had made her feel so...whole. It was odd. Really odd. Just a kiss and she felt like her heart had never been broken. Yet...she was scared. Not deathly afraid, but frightened. The possibility of love really did scare Sky. She was afraid to fall in love. She started to pull her hand back when she realized that he was hearing this right now.
Jason smiled gently and covered Sky`s hand with his own. He had, in fact, heard evrything she had just thought. "There`s nothing to be afraid of, Sky. The future holds eveyrything." His voice and eyes were soft, but his words were strong. He thought for a moment. "Sky, you were even thinking earlier-- I couldn`t help but overhear--" He grinned quickly, "You didn`t know what you would do with your future."
He started to pull his hand away, thinking he had said too much.
She looked at him in the dark for a short moment and then bowed her head, her focus on the ground she couldn't really see too well. She could make out some rocks, but the rest was darkness. Sky touched her cheeks and felt that they were warm. She certainly was blushing, blushing more than she had that day. She took a silent breath. She had time to worry about it. Now wasn't the time. She didn't want to ruin this wonderful night that she had shared with Jason.
Jasn smiled and put his hands in his lap. He looked down at the ground, too, but he saw everything clearly. He didn`t know what to say now, and he let himself drift away Sky`s mind, so she could think without him interfearing.
"So...." Sky said, dragging out the o's. "What do you want to do?"
Jason looked at Sky through his eyelashes. "No. It`s your turn to pick something. I showed you this." He waved his arm towards the clearing and the smoke threads renewed themselves with bright energy.
She smiled. "But I don't have any ideas." She put her hand to her chin and thought. "Hmmm....oh! Wait! I've got one." She grinned widely.
"You could kiss me!" Then she startled giggling.
Jason smiled. "I could." He grinned in response, raising an eyebrow. He would, most likely, kiss her again. She enchanted him. She understood him in ways no one else had ever understood him before.
Sky stood up and poked him gently. "Only if you can catch me, and be aware. I'm a fast runner." And she was off in the darkness, her foot steps barely making a sound.
Jason laughed and stood up quickly. He paused, letting Sky get father away, then burst after her, his feet flying nimbly over the ground, barely corrupting anything. "Hello." He grinned as he emerged behind her.
"Au Revoir." She replied, her figure disappearing again, blending in with the darkness. She was like a shadow.
Jason laughed and turned after Sky. He leaped forward, becoming closer to the figure that would be Sky.
Sky gave up and remained where she was, silent and still.
Jason froze, falling forward slightly with the sudden stop. He turned around slowly and stepped forward, away from Sky. He smile,d then turned and bounded the way he came, landing right in front of SKy.
"Found ya." He grinned.
"Oh snap." Sky said. "You've got me."
Jason grinned and took a half step forward. He held his left hand up for her to take.
She looked at his hand that he held up for her and slowly brought her hand to meet his. Sky couldn't help but grin back.
Jason took another step closer. "You know, you did promise me that I could kiss you if I caught you." He said softly, smiling down at her.
"I suppose I did, huh?" She said in the same soft tone.
Jason nodded. "So, is that offer still open?" He asked, taking one last half step toward her and taking her other hand.
Sky smiled warmly, the clouds moving so that the moon shone on them.
"Always, for you."
Jason smiled and leaned forward slightly, kissing her lips gently.
Sky gently squeezed his hands as he pressed his lips against hers, and she couldn't help but smile into the kiss. She tried not to, but she couldn't help it.
Jason squeezed her hands in reply and was smiling also. He pulled away a fraction of an inch. "Why are you smiling? Are my kissing skills just so horrible that you`re holding back a laugh?" He teased, raising an eyebrow.
"Nope. I just really like this feeling. Makes me all smiley." She replied, a grin on her face.
Jason chuckled softly. "Is that so?" He asked before kissing her again.
Sky didn't even bother trying to speak. He knew her every thought. She kissed him back and brought her arms around his shoulders.
Jason smiled, but it faded quickly as his deepened the kiss. As his hands were free again, her put them against her sides.

Sky suddenly broke the kiss, looking at him. "Its late." She whispered. "I need to go. Double potions at 8.." She wished she didn't have a class. She wished she could stay here in this moment forever actually. She put her forehead against his, her eyes glittering.
Jason sighed softly and closed his eyes as she rested her forehead against his. "I have classes tomorrow, too." He whispered softly. He carefully run his fingers through her soft hair.
"Should we head back then?" She asked, closing her eyes as his fingers traveled through her hair.
"I never did ask you what house you were in." Sky said.
Jason smiled. "Slytherin, of course." He enjoyed the power Slytherins had, he just didn`t like what the did with it. "I have to make them think I`m stiil on their side, after all." He said softer. He slowly took a step back, something he didn`t want to do, and took her hand, automatically leading her towards the school.

Sky wondered if people would poke and prod her about seeing a Slytherin boy. She didn't care. She took his hand and walked with him to the school, happy as she could ever be.
((All that came up was a GMail log-in thing.))
Jason`s smile widened. "So, does this mean we`re seeing each other? "He asked, holding back a merry laugh. He had heard her thinking about the others picking on her.
Sky didn't think he had heard that. She froze. "Oh..well. If you want to--if you don't, that's...er...fine. Yeah." The famous blushing had reappeared.

Jason grinned and pulled her into a hug, kissing her forehead softly. "Well, then. Would you like me to escort you back to your common room?" He asked, pulling away slowly.
His hugs were so warm. She reluctantly let go when he began to pull away.
"You don't have to." Sky said. "You're common room is on the opposite way of mine."
Jason squeezed her hand. "No, it`s okay. It`s ot that far." He paused. "Unless you prefer me not, then I`ll just make sure you`re inside." He offered.
She didn't want him to think he was unwelcome, she just thought he was being really nice. He didn't need to do that for her. "No, I'd love the company." She said.
Jason couldn`t keep the smile off of his face. He could hear her thoughts, and he had never heard anything more pure. "You`re in Gryffindor... correct?" He asked.
Sky nodded quickly. "Yupp. The Common Room with a scarlet and gold lion."

Jason squeezed her hand again as they neared the edge of the trees. The school loomed from the ground like an omnious creature of the night.
Sky squinted as she looked at the school. It looked so...mysterious.
"I've never realized how creepy the school looks at night. Not a single light on in the castle. That's surprising since there is usually someone awake."
"Oh," Jason smiled, "Trust me, people are awake. They just know better than to put a light on." He explained as they neared the school.
That was true. They were probably using the lumos spell or something.
They were finally at the doors and Sky silently pulled it open. "You can go first."
Jason shook his head but didn`t argue. He stepped trhoguh the door and waited for Sky to follow. He didn`t need her to say where the common room was, he already knew. He led her up the stairs, keeping one hand on the railing.
Sky watched as a few ghosts strolled by, popping out of walls. She could hear some of the people in the picture frames having quiet conversations, some snoring. She liked how Hogwarts was at night. She stopped suddenly as the staircase in front of them began to move. Sky never could get over how far the ground was when looking down.
Jason smiled and took her hand. "Scared of heights?" He asked, leading her forward again. The halls were dark. Really dark, but it didn`t bother him.
Sky shook her head.
"Not usually." She said. "Just with these stairs."

Jason smiled and squeezed her hand. He stepped off of the stairs and onto a landing. In front of them was a large portrait of a fat lady. "Good night." He said softly.
Sky said the password and the portrait swung open. The fat lady was too tired to even bother yelling at her for being out past curfew.
"Good night." She replied. "And thank you."
Jason smiled and squeezed her hand before slowly letting it go.

Sky smiled and kissed his cheek before climbing into the dark hole that led to her common room. "Sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite." She called.
Jason grinned. "Oh, hey, wait." He called, putting his hand out before the portrait door could close. "Do you wanna go somewhere? Like, Friday night or something?" He asked, struggling to remember what day it was today.
Sky stuck her head out of the hole and smiled softly. "Sure. That would be great." She said.
Jason smiled. "Have a nice night." He said softly, backing up with a smile.
"You too." She said, slowly backing up herself, watching him until the frame shut itself and she was left in the darkness.
Sky laughed. A happy laugh. She was so happy, she could dance, she could sing! In fact, if it wasn't for the fact that everyone was sleeping, she probably would. So instead, she just whispered "Woo-hoo!" and ran sneakily up the stairs to her bed where she would fall asleep after thinking about her night for an hour.
Jason couldn`t help but laugh as he retreated down the stairs quickly. He could hear Sky`s outburst in his mind, and it made him smile. He suddenly walked slower, trying to keep her in his head for as long as possible. Eventually, though, he was too far away to hear her. He snuck up to his dorm and sat in bed, not able to go to sleep.

The rest of the week passed slowly for Jason and the time never went fast enough. When Friday finally came, he rushed through his classes, not caring what happened in them. He didn`t share any classes with Sky, and that made the day longer. After his classes he just transported to the Slytherin common room, not patient enough to walk the way.
He had left a note in the Gryffindor common room, and it told Sky what time and where to meet him. He only hoped she was the one to get it and not someone else.
At six o`clock sharp, he was at the edge of Hogsmead. He was dressed casually in jeans and a long-sleeve dark grey shirt. The night was warm, but his mark was a big problem. He waited patiently for Sky, whom he couldn`t wait to see.
The week had had its slow days and its speedy ones for Sky. Sometimes, she would be so overcome with homework, she couldn't think of Friday. She could only concentrate on her double potions and charms assignments that were due two days after being assigned. And they weren't easy. But after that, the week went terribly slow paced. She would find herself staring at the clocks and calanders in the classrooms, hoping for Friday to come sooner.
When she found the note, one very typical question shot through her mind.
What do I wear?
Sky arrived a few minutes past six and found Jason standing at the edge of Hogsmead. She was glad to see that she dressed just right. A pair of her famous faded blue jeans and a v-neck crimson red shirt with sleeves that ran to her elbow. She ever curled her hair at the ends, taking a liking to the look these days. She was beaming when she found him, but put those happy thoughts aside. No doubt he heard her thoughts when she ran into the common room.
((Ooooh. I'm in a sudden typing mood. Not normal for an exhausted state. :P))

Jason smiled as Sky approached, and he nodded in reply to her unspoken question. "Yes. I heard you." He said, beaming down at her. He shook his head, trying to keep from laughing.
Sky looked at the ground. "Ugh...I got to work on some mind lockage." She joked. She looked up at him, this time grinning broadly. "You look handsome." She said.
Jason grinned broadly. "Even if you blockedyour mind, I could still get through. But I`ll stop listening so much so you can think to yourself." He winked. "And as for me, you look much better than I do. In fact, that person right over there," He paused to point to two women standing a few yards away, "The one on the left is wondering what you`re doing with me." He said. It was a lie, but not entirely.
Sky laughed, knowing Jason was only playing around. "So what are we doing out here?" She asked, curious to know why he sent her a note to come here.
Jason smiled and shrugged innocently. "Well, I was thinking we could teleport somewhere else and, uh, get something to eat. Then mabey see what they have around town. There isn`t much around here." He stuck his hands in his pockets and looked around as if to prove his point.
That sounds good to me."
Sky's eyes shifted left to right, scanning the boring old village that everyone saw every week. "You're right." She said. "There isn't a lot here."
Jason smiled and stepped closer to her, taking her hand. "So, ahve you even transported before? IT`s nothing like Apparation." He smirked.
Sky shook her head. She thought teleporting was apparating. "Is it really that different?" She asked him.
"Very." Jason whispered. "Here, take these." He handed her a pair of sun glasses. They were specially strong, and they would make the trip less shocking for Sky. "Hold on." He whispered, hugged her to him.
Instantly a fierce pull tugged down on them. Jason`s eyes were forced closed and it felt like the ground had been sucked out from beneath him. Just a second later, the pair of them landed on stone ground again. Jason carefully held Sky so she wouldn`t crumple to the ground.

Sky gasped, the adrenaline rushing through her. She slowly took off the sunglasses and looked at the stone ground as he held her. He never failed to impress her.
"That was...amazing! Can we do it again!?" She giggled and handed him back his glasses.
Jason laughed quietly. "Mabey later. But first, turn around." He hadn`t said where he was taking them. They were now in London. Dusk had just settled over the famous city and lights twinkled from here and there. From their perch on a hill, the sounds of voices and laughter drifted up to them.
She turned around slowly, and her eyes widened with awe. London was so beautiful at this time. Her eyes gleamed as the lights' glimmered in them. Sky had only been to London twice, and it was never as gorgeous as this. And she didn't recall being in such a good mood back then either. Her smile was big as she heard the laughter of other people.
Jason smiled and took one her hands in both of his. He kissed the back of her hand softly. "Shall we go on?" He asked softly, feeling her awe.
"S-sure." She studdered as she watched two giggling kids playing tag with each other. She blushed when he kissed her hand.
Jason`s smile widened and he set forth, carefully stepping down the short hill and down onto a street paved with tan stones. There were more people in the road than vehicles, so they weren`t out of place. "You like Italian, right?" He asked.
"I love Italian." She said. Sky was actually kind of glad to be in a place with muggles. It was a delightful change of scenery.
((Ugh. Writers block again. And a headache. And it's 6:50AM))
Jason smiled. "That`s great. And I think you`ll love the place." He smile turned to a smug smirk. He loved surprising her. He led her through the streets by the hand, making sure to keep her away from the small scooters that people zipped between others.
Sky watched as a scooter zoomed past her walked with Jason, squeezing his hand as she maneuvered past a boy who had stopped to lick the melting ice cream that was dripping down his cone.
Jason smiled and pulled her along. Finally they stopped outside a large cafe. "Here we are." He announced, leading her towards the door. He held it open for her so she could enter.
She thanked him as she walked through, looking around at the cafe that was so new to her.
Jason steered her to a small table. It was the only table that wasn`t occupied. Her pulled out her chair for her and waited for her to sit before pushing it in. He sat across from her. "So, what do you think you would like?" He asked, picking up the menu that was already on the table.
Sky looked at the menu, not quite sure what to order.
"I know it's a typical girl thing," she said, setting down the fancy laminated menu. "but I think I'm just going to get a salad." She looked at him. "What about you?" She asked.
"Hmm." He pondered. "I think I`ll get the chicken alfredo." Jason decided. "Are you sure you want just a salad?" He asked. Of course, he did have special plans for desert.
Sky nodded. "Yeah. I'm kind of in a mood for a leafy green meal." She said with a grin.
Jason smiled. "Okay then." He muttered as a waiter approached the table.
"Hello, can I get you a\two anything to drink?" He asked. He glanced up quickly first, then lifted his eyes again to meet Sky.

"Hmm...can I have a rootbeer please?" Sky asked sweetly.
Jason smiled smugly, as if he was remembering an inside joke. "And I`ll have a root beer, too, please." He said, still smiling.
Sky rested her chin on her knuckles with her elbow on the table, her dark gray eyes absorbing all of the pictures and decorations of the cafe and the people.
Jason`s smug smile was still on his face when he turned his gaze to Sky. He rested his chin on his hand, staring at her while she looked around.
Sky finally realized that she had been her own little world and brought her attention to Jason, who happened to be gazing at her. She turned her head to the side a little. "What?" She said, her lips curving into a familiar smile.
Jason`s smile widened. "Oh, nothing. I was just listening in on our waiter. He`s right, you know." His smugness returned.
Sky raised a brow, intrigued. "Right about what?" She asked.
Jason smiled. "Oh, he was just thinking about how pretty you were. He seemed rather jelous, actually." He grinned.
Sky looked over at the waiter, looking a bit bashful, before turning back to Jason. She narrowed her eyes for a very short moment. "Are you lying?" She asked, smiling.
Jason laughed quietly. "No. I promise you that I`m being perfectly honest." He grinned. And he was telling the truth. "I can`t blame him either." He said with a quick smile.
The waitress swooped by with the beverages on a tray, quickly setting them down on the table.
"Your meals will be out in just a few moments." She said with a weary smile. With that, she was off to another group of people.
Sky took a sip of her rootbeer. Truly one of the best beverages out there.
Jason smiled widely and took a sip of his own root beer. He started chuckling and had to stop drinking his soda.
Sky pulled her lips away from her cup and looked at him. "What's got you in such a giggly mood?" She asked, smiling.
Jason finally atopped laughing. "Oh, nothing." He teased, but he continues before she could say anything else. "That guy, he... he`s thinking about spitting in my food. And he was thinking about me dieing of some poisoning. Wow, he`s really jelous." His words didn`t really make sense, but they made sense to him.
Sky blinked several times, thinking about what he said. Then she laughed.
"That's really gross. I'd be pretty mad if I found saliva in my food." As for the poison, she didn't know what to say.
Jason shook his head, hearing her without meaning to. "He didn`t actually think exactly poison. He just wanted me to die or go away or something. Poison was just what he thought of first." He explained quickly.
"That's not very nice. I should throw this fork at him between the eyes." Sky said, picking up the metal utensil and aiming it at the man. She was only joking of course.
Jason smiled and shook his head; he held his hand out and pushed the fork to the table. "That wouldn`t be very nice, then we wouldn`t have a person to bring us food." He pouted. "Or they might make us leave." He added.
Sky picked up a spoon and grinned before setting it back down. "You're right. That wouldn't be very good."
Jason smiled at her. "No. And after all of my planning to bring you here, that wouldn`t be very good. Of course there is still..." He trailed off, obviously not going to finish his sentence.The waiter came back and looked at Sky as he sat the food down.
"Ok, here you guys go. Is there anything else I can get you?" He asked, although it sounded more like he was just asking Sky.
Still..what? Sky wondered. She decided not to bother him about it and looked down at the salad laid before her. It looked delicious. (That was the most monotone sentence I've ever written.) She shook her head when the waiter asked if she wanted anything else. "No thank you. This is perfect." She looked at Jason. "Thank you very much."
Jason smirked as the waiter turned his back. He shook his head as eh picked up his fork and stuck it in a piece of chicken. "So, have you even been in London before?" He asked.
((Lol. Okay, I gotta tell a story, even though it has nothing to do with right now. Okay, so me and A, B, C, and D were all sitting around talking about what we`ve said when someone has prank called us. It was during band, but the director had something else to do, so we were just talking anyway, he had just walked into the room when I screeched PURPLE!!!! He looked at me, then looked down. His eyebrows were raised and I could tell he was trying not to laugh. But it was like a high-pitched scream.))
Sky took a bite of her salad and swallowed quickly. "About a year ago. Before I came to Hogwarts. I'm from the U.S so I had to come here to board the train."

Jason smiled and nodded, spearing another chink of food. "And did you get to see much?" He asked, plans forming in his mind.
Sky shrugged. "I dunno. I saw the places around the train station."
Jason nodded again, still smiling. "Good. Good." He said softly, spacing out slightly.
Sky soon finished her salad. (Wow...booring posts I have tonight.) She looked at Jason and smiled. "I'm assuming that you've been around here a lot then?" She said.
Jason finished his meal. "Not really. Just long enough to make plans." He grinned broadly.
((So...tired. Can't..focus. I'm going to bed lol. G'night!))
"What kind of plans?" Sky asked curiously. He didn't need to say what though. It really wasn't any of her business.
Jason grinned. "Oh, this and that. You`ll find out later." The waiter came back and took their dishes.
"Can I get you any refills or desserts?" He asked after he took them to the kitchen.
Sky smiled at him and took one final sip of her drink. "I'm all right. What about you?" She asked Jason as the waiter waited for a reply.

Jason smiled carefully and shook his head. "Nope, I`m good." The waiter prsed his lips together then put a small paper down on the table. Jason grabbed it before Sky could.

Sky didn't protest, but tried to read the paper from where she was. It didn't work.
Jason smiled down to the little paper, trying to hide it from Sky. It wasn`t that hard, and he could see it in her mind that she had no clue. "Here you go." He said, handing a bill to the waiter, who was still standing there. He nodded and walked away again.
Sky looked at his eyes. By now, she knew when he was reading her mind. She could easily Accio the paper, but there was no point. She simply smiled and fixed her hair.
Jason smirked again. "I would know before you tried." He said, still smiling at her brightly. "So,a re you ready to go? The nights not over yet."
Sky grinned and nodded. "Alrighty. I'm ready." She stood up and pushed in her chair before dusting off some crumbs on the table.
Jason smiled again and stood up carefully, pushing his chair in. "Let`s go." She said softly, holding his hand out to her.
Sky gently took his hand as her stomach did a flip. She smiled and followed him.
Jason gently squeezed her hand and led her outside. There were a lot of people out, and all of them adults. The sun had sunk bu now, but the area was still bright and lively. "Come on, follow me." He mumbled to her, pulling her across the square.
"Okay." She said softly, following him as he led her across.
Jason grinned again as he looked back at Sky, still leading her across the square. They soon reached the other side where a small cart with a striped cover sat. A skinny guy stood behind it, handing a large ice cream cone to a couple.
Sky had no idea what Jason had planned but held his hand just as gently. She watched the man hand over the large ice cream cone, a small drop falling to the ground as it began to slowly melt.
Jason leaned down so he could whisper to Sky and she would hear him. "What kind would you like?" He asked softly, eyeing the chalkboard behind the guy. The man stood up straight and beckoned them over.
Sky shrugged and smiled. "I dunno." She read the chalkboard, going down the list of flavors. "Black Cherry sounds good."

Jason smiled again and took a small step forward, getting the man`s attention. "One black cherry and one chocolate." He ordered, still smiling.
((Lol. I walk to the library a couple times a week. [5 minute walk] So I can get on sometimes.))
Sky looked at Jason and smiled warmly. He was as sweet as the ice cream "Thank you." She said in the same soft tone he had used just a moment ago.
Jason smiled at her and squeezed her hand before letting it go to get both of the cones. He handed one to her before getting a handfull of napkins.
"No prombem. Like I said, I planned this." He led her over to a smal set of stone stairs and sat down carefully, not wanting to drip his ice cream.
She gratefully accepted the cone and took a quick lick around the cone to avoid it dripping. It was one of the best ice cream cones Sky had ever tasted in her lifetime. As she sat down on the stone steps, her eyes were on him, and she smiled to herself as she proceeded to eat her ice cream.
Jason caught Sky`s smile and felt himself grin. He licked his ice cream quickly, trying to avoid any dripping. It was a good cone. Really chocolate-tasting.

"So..." Sky said as she worked on her ice cream. "What's your dream in life? Like...something you want to do or have."
She loved random questions.
((Uh, I know. I watched it and fell in love. Why can`t real people sing like that?))
Jason grinned at the unexpected question.
"Well, I want to be able to settle down one day, I guess, where I don`t have to worry about Death Eaters or the Ministry." He answered softly.
"What about you?"

Another lick of ice cream.
"Something like that. I want to live in peace, not in fear." Sky said, pushing her hair out of her face so as not to get into the ice cream.
((I mean people that are in eveday places, like my school.))
Jason smiled again, now taking a bite of the cone.
"Exactly. Somewhere... quiet. Well, not in the literal sense, but somewhere where I can do what I want to, when I want to. Not under someone else`s orders.
"Yeah." Sky agreed.
"And I want a dog. Maybe a husky." She said with a big grin.
Jason grinned, flashing teeth.
"I like dogs." He said softly. "I had a chocolate lab for a while, before my parents... died." He said, changing his wording midsentence.
Sky finished her cone quietly, not really sure what to say.
"Chocolate labs are cute." She said almost automatically.
Jason smiled again, eating the last of his ice cream.
"So are huskies." He said softly. He turned his head to look at Sky, still grinning.
Sky grinned back, her eyes almost twinkling.
"Tonight is a beautiful night, don't ya think?"
Jason nodded, still smilign brightly.
"Yes, very beautiful." he didn`t turn to look at the scene around him, he just looked at her. At Sky. He had only recently met her, and he had told her about being a Death Eater. She had trusted him in her secret, too. She was one of the only people that knew, but that wasn`t why he kept her close.
Sky's eyes fell to the ground, her cheeks a bright shade of pink. She smiled warmly. "I think tonight was the best night of my entire life." She said quietly.
Jason smirked and put his arm around her shoulders, rubbing her arm with her fingers.
"Tonight was definatly the best night of my life." He whispered. He had had so much darkness in his life, and Sky had finally brought him the light.

Sky's smile remained etched upon her face. Jason was him. The one she had been looking for. The person who could make her feel safe..and..and warm and just everything she needed these last couple of years, despite the fact that they just recently met.
Jason smiled and hugged Sky.
"You what what, Sky?" He asked, still holding her. "I love you."
He..what?
Did he just say...?
Yes..., yes he did.
Sky's gray eyes met Jason's, the smile on her face warm and glowing. She leaned in close, so that they were barely touching. "I love you too." She whispered before her lips made contact with his.
((Oops. I had forgotten that they`re still new to each other.))
Jason smiled, returning the kiss. He lifted his hand and brushed her cheek with the back of it, his skin just barely brushing against hers.
((Eh...we can pretend that they've known each other for a long time...? I dunno... GOSH! Sky is a sleeper! XD Jk! Hyper..!))
Sky smiled, her heart racing and her face pink. ((Wriiiiters block. 1 line lolzzz))

Jason chuckled softly, gently pulling away. He tucked a chunk of hair behind her ear.
