No fighting.......
Tell us about your religous beleifs I personaly don't have a religion (I used to though)
I am a Christian. I've been hearing a lot of people criticizing me by using the evolution card , but now I'm thinking maybe God planned Evolution. Maybe he started it all that way.
I'm Christian too. I also agree. I think that God created the big bang, and so created the world. It's my own personal mix of Faith and Science! ;D ;D ;D
I used to be a Christian but now I just believe that Universes keep on popping up everywhere because the Universe keeps on expanding (The expanding bit is 100% true though0
I don't listen to Scientists about Religion. In our history books, they treat Jesus like an idea. A myth. They keep trying to prove he doesn't exist and say we're related to monkeys. That may be true, but perhaps God intended for that?
You know how they say a rainbow is like all these light things or whatever? And the bible said it's God's promise? Maybe God intended for it to work out like that.
Sorry. I get worked up over this because my friend is an atheist and says things to me about stuff.
Yes acording to Christiansit was Gods promise and acorrding to Christians God made the rainbow scientifaclly so don't get to worked up the lights are true.
protestant. Don't go to church...
I'm same as Bucky

Except everyone will agree that Jesus of Nazareth did indeed exist. He was a real person, there is no doubt. What is questioned is whether or not he was the son of God and had divine powers.
As for myself, I'm what is called Agnostic. It means I believe in some deity, but not in any specific religion. It also means that I have my own set of beliefs, different from many others. I tend to be more sympathetic to the Christian ideas, but that's only because I was raised as such.
I'm perfectly willing to explain anything more in-depth if anyone cares, but I don't suggest taking anything I say as fact for all agnostics.
My religious beliefs are strong and what i live my life by.
I am Roman Cathlic and very proud of it. I believe in the Bible but don't take it too literally. I am actively involved in our youth group and took theology classes at a esteemed school of theology this summer. Its basically my life. My religion is as huge part of my life, I go to church every Sunday.
It helps me determine my friends, how i act, who i date, and where i'm planning on attending college (a catholic university). But, its hard for me to explain exactly what i believe especially on a internet site.
I am being confirmed in two weeks and i cannot wait!
I know religion isn't for everyone and that's cool.
Like... I'm a Christian, but not the hardcore shove it in your face kind of Christian. I haven't read an entire book of the bible, I don't frequently visit church, but I do go to Youth Group sometimes.
I don't follow Buddhism, but Buddha is so cute! XD There's a statue of him in the Chinese Restaurant we always go to.
Agnostic. Heard too much, read too much. I love Buddha, too! I`m a mix of everything. I`m special.
;) ;D
QuoteI'm what is called Agnostic
Yeah that's sort of like me.
I would like to hear more about what Ginny believes... I love hearing about other religions as long as they're presented in a calm matter... I also think that Buddha is adorable!
He's fat LOL
Well I am a person who doesn't really care how the world was created but I believe in many throes *Sp*
Religion is so confusing...
I agree! I don't see why people fight about it... I believe one thing and you believe another, so what!? I actually like hearing other peoples ideas on religion and creation... It's interesting.
I totally agree with you..
Nobodies gonna change their belifs anyway.. so why even argue.. although i'm a firm beliver in the whole 'Coexist but never compromise christ thing"
Oh yeah totally! My sister has a t-shirt that says Coexist... I love it! And each letter is like a symbol... like the Jewish star...
I think that people need to have more respect for others' beliefs.
yup. that was the thing i was thinking off.. here. i'll gett a picture.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Check it.
mhm... I love it! I really want a shirt or something! I think it'd be awesome to speak out like that, because not a ton of people have heard of it.
((Hint hint... my birthday... cough cough....))
((LOL))
I don't no what coexist is but I do have respect for other religions so I respect you are coexistant.
I'm not arguing against anyone's beliefs.
Uh...is coexist like...respecting other religions or what?
Yeah, but the whole coexist thing has only recently cropped up.
Too many religions are full of zealots who believe that their way is the only way...
Yeah Coexist is just kinda like saying, "I don't care what you believe in." And I don't care what people believe in... i just care that their actions resemble some sort of.. respect.
That is exactly why I settled with Agnosticism.
I was raised Christian, but never baptized or confirmed or anything. As I grew older, I saw more and more problems in the world can be connected to religious zealots. I decided I'd rather not be connected to any religion because I don't think any of them are 100% right.
It's very easy for me to accept someone else's faith, as long as they don't try to shove it down my throat.
I agree completely! There is so much to be treasured in this world, and I don't see why people have to bother fighting over it! If I believe one thing and you believe another, that doesn't give me a reason to bomb your house! It just means that you have more to talk about!
O.K then if it it is not already created I make a new religion
Buckybelivers
You don't give a s**t how the world was created.
LOL jokes.
I've never been baptized.
Ugh..this is hard.
See...we have a lot of problems in the world. Sometimes I do get angry with God. We're allowed to. I question him so many times in my head. "Why did they have to die? Why did He have to suffer? Why can't that cancer be cured?" It could drive me insane thinking about it, but then I hear how when we die, we'll be all right. We'll be happy. Because We'll be in heaven.
God gave us free will for one thing. So the murderers out there, that is their fault.
I don't really understand the weather killing things or nature...but I do still put my faith in Jesus and God because I would be nothing right now. Nothing, without them.
AMEN SISTER!!!
I however have been baptized, confirmed... and all that jazz.
I try not to get angry with God, but there are times when I'm like really into it, praying every night and such, and times where I don't really think about Him. I still know he's there, but I'm not actively thinking about Him.

I for one wouldn't join that religion, because I DO care how the world was creating... it's interesting to me.
I agree with you Jessie. The creation of the Earth is important because it brings on the question of our existence, for which people desire an answer to. People want to know their purpose, why they are here.
Even when several say they don't want to know.
Actually, many don't actually want to know. They just want to guess, because if we know, and one religion is right and the rest are wrong, what happens to those people's faith? Their entire set of beliefs on how life is supposed to be? They would be devastated, crushed, and faithless. Hopeless, because things will not be in their perfect imagination exactly as it should be.
Everyone wants some explanation. But if given the real opportunity, how many people would want the truth? You'd be surprised how many people are afraid of it.
OK Ginny, you're totally right. What if someone can prove that God doesn't exist? The world would plunge into chaos as angry Catholics take to the streets! And Catholicism covers many religions (if I'm not mistaken), so most of the world would be devestated, ripped apart. And this could all be done with one discovery.
Er...does this debate bring upon any changes to anybody? Or could it be considered pointless?
I was thinking something always had to exist (I go into long conversions with myself) because there is no way ther could be nothing (Man I'm having trouble putting this down on paper) for there always must have been something (Grrrrrrrrrrrrr)or else there would be no nothing either (Are you getting me)

it's been a while but gottasay yeah in 2009 the was it was this one
Many religions have ideas about the places that these souls go to. Often there are at least two possible places, and which one the soul enters is determined by the kind of life that the person led. In Christianity, for example, the souls of saved people go to heaven, whereas the souls of the d**ned go to hell. However in a few religions everyone's soul goes to the same place.
oh no spamers again
Bucky... they've been happening for awhile now. I've ignored them.
Religious acceptance refers to a brainy accompaniment in which acceptance is placed in a canon accompanying to the supernatural, sacred, or divine. Such a accompaniment may chronicle to the existence, characteristics and adoration of a celestial or deities, all-powerful action in the cosmos and animal life, or ethics and practices centered on the article of a airy leader. In adverse to added acceptance systems, religious behavior are usually codified.
