Title: Staring Skies(open to everyone)
Post by: lexip.13 on May 30, 2009, 11:44:51 AM
Lexi could feel the grass tickling her neck. She could feel a lady bug slowing making it's way up her arm. Today she seemed to feel everything. She loved these moments. Laying on her back watching the clouds dance across the sky until at some point they seperated to reveal an ocean of blue that seemed to stare right back down at you. It was kind of a comfort knowing they would always open again at some point. That no matter what that blue sky will always be behind the overtaking grey clouds. She liked the thought of that. The one thing she could count on was this incredebly blue sky.

Aiden walked aimlessly around the grounds of the school.  He had his hands in his pockets and kept a slow, steady pace.  It was a nice day out.  However, still wasn't nice enough.  He felt empty and tired, the way he almost always felt when she was gone.

Aiden kept his head down and watched the grass as he walked through the trees.  He only barely noticed Lexi laying in the grass.  "Uh, hey."  He said quietly, surprised to find someone out here.  He figured everyone would be in class at this time.  Except himself, he always skipped.

Lexi had felt the muted footsteps of someone but was surprised when those footsteps spoke to her.
She opened her eyes and sat up, indian style. She saw it was Aiden and smiled friendly like. "Hi. Skipping, huh?" she said jokingly.

Aiden turned his head completely towards Lexi.  "Yeah.  I'm guessing you are too?"  He asked, not meaning it as a question.  The sun shown in his eyes making them almost shine despite their dark color.  Aiden leaned against a tree.  "Whats your name?"

Lexi leaned back on her hands and threw her head back, letting the sun cover her. Then she looked back up at Aiden. "Lexi. And you?"

Aiden kicked his heel over the ground.  "Aiden..Gray."  He answered quietly.  He looked up at the sky, the sun was shining brightly.  He sighed quietly and sat down against the base of the tree.  "So, what year are you in Lexi?"

Lexi closed her eyes and listened to the sounds around her for a moment before answering. " Third. How 'bout you?"She opened her eyes to see if she was right. She was very good at body language reading. "I'm guessing forth or fifth....am i right?"

Aiden grinned lightly for the first time.  "Well, seventh actually.  Close though."  He commented.  He rested his arms on his knees and flipped his hair out of his eyes.

Lexi smiled lightly too. "Oh. Well that must kind of suck, huh?" she got on her serious face and looked at aiden gray. "This being your last year and all? I don't want to ever leave this place." She took her eyes away from Aiden's and stared up at the huge castle towering over her.

Aiden nodded in agreement.  "That is true.  Maybe I'll fail on purpose.  Who knows?  I have a lot of reasons to stay."  He told her, leaning back more and smiling wryly.  He crossed his arms behind his head, thinking.

Lexi could tell Aiden needed his time so she layed back in her original position and stared back at the deep blue. She thought about what she was going to do tonight and how she shouldn't feel guilty about skipping one day of class. That was the bad thing about being in ravenclaw. You could never relax about your studies. Then a question popped into her head. "Hey Aiden? What are you gonna do if you don't fail purposely?"she said, smiling towards the end of her sentence.

Aiden looked back at Lexi, escaping from his thoughts and back into the real world.  "Well, I'll probably just stay around the school.  I already have found a place near by.  I'd miss this place too much and the people here.  My entire life is here."  He replied, looking for the right words.

Lexi sat up again to look at Aiden. " I know what you mean. I really haven't had a home until I came here. The orphanage isn't bad I guess but here...."she stopped. There weren't words to describe how she felt here. It just....took her away. It was like coming back home from a far off vacation. It was the happiest she'd ever felt.

Aiden nodded again, and tilted his head to one side.  "Well, you also have a few years left here so that is good at least."  He sighed.  Aiden scratched the back of his head and flipped his hair out of his eyes again.  "What are you going to do after you are out of here?"

Lexi sighed and took a breath and wiped off the little ant making it's way up her arm. " I don't know. Kind of shocking isn't it? A ravenclaw that has no idea where she's going." Lexi thought for a minute then added, " Well I guess I do. I wanna travel. Instead of learning in a classroom I wanna learn things useful to my future life." She sighed again and tried to push away the creeping feeling of the monster that threatened to overtake her when she thought about this. She hated not knowing what to do but at the same time it was kind of a thrill.

Aiden watched her expression carefully and he could tell something was bothering her.  However, he felt it wasn't his place to ask what.  "Traveling seems nice.  I guess it shouldn't matter then if you skip classes."  He said quietly.

Lexi nodded. "Definetly. Traveling will be the best thing....for me." She stopped to think about the second thing Aiden said. She looked over at him and smiled. "No, I guess it doesn't." Then she sighed and layed back to watch the clouds.

Aiden followed her gaze to the clouds.  He bit his lip and leaned back.  He felt like doing something.  It was too nice of a day to lay around.   "So, what do you want to do?"  Aiden asked suddenly, breaking the short silence.

Lexi, still laying down, raised her index finger to signal she was thinking then brought it back to the ground. She thought for a long time before she said,"I don't have any idea....how bout you?" Then she laughed. It was a carefree day

(and now i'm going to bed. see ya tomorrow dudes)

Aiden suddenly stood up, and stretched his arms.  "Uh...I kind of feel like walking around.  Its a nice day, might as well take advantage of it."  He answered.  Aiden took a long look around, seeing if there were any teachers or students out that didn't have class.  As far as he could no one else was wondering about.
