Harry Potter Fan

Hello everyone!  My name is Camryn (Cam for short).  This is my first fan fic.  I posted it on HarryPotter.com and decided to post it on another message board because I had a fair amount of readers.  My story is called Camryn Coy and the Forbidden Love.  I will begin shortly....

The bell rang on Number 7 Privet Drive. Ding-Dong!
"I'll get it!" Camryn Coy called up the stairs. Camryn wasn't tall, but she wasn't short either. She had dark brown hair and eyes that sparkled like diamonds. She opened the door.
"Hello! We are your new neighbors! Welcome to Privet Drive!" a lady said enthusiastically. "I'm Petunia Dursley, but you can call me Mrs. Dursley." She handed Camryn a bowl of (or so it seemed) newly made chocolate pudding.
"Thanks for the umm, uh, pudding," said Camryn, a little nervously.
A large man appeared behind her. "This is my husband, Vernon. Mr. Dursley to you." She laughed a high-pitched, rather annoying, laugh.
A younger boy, about the same age as Camryn, but a lot shorter, wobbled over to the door. "This is my son, Dudley. He's very sweet. You two could be very good friends!"
Dudley said, as his many chins jiggled, "There are absolutely no other children on our block. You and me are the only ones." He bent over and said more quietly to Camryn, "Sorry for the 'formal' language, but my Mum said it was polite or something."
"No problem," Camryn whispered to Dudley. "My name is Camryn Coy, but you can call me, Cam for short," she said a little louder so that all the Dursleys could hear.
"How wonderful," was Mrs. Dursley's reply. Mr. Dursley didn't seem too happy to be where he was.
"Who is it, Honey-Bear?" It was Cam's mother, Angela Coy. Ms. Coy had hair exactly like Cam's. The only difference was that two pins usually held her hair back. Her eyes were a light, dazzling brown.
"Oh, hello," she said eying the Dursleys then the pudding. "Thanks for the pudding. Would you like to come in?"
"Oh, no thank you," Mrs. Dursley said in her most flattered voice. "We have to bring Dudley to London to buy some of his school supplies. School starts tomorrow. Nice meeting you! We should chat again soon! Cheery oh!"
"Bye!" Cam and Ms. Coy said together. They closed the door, happy to see the Dursleys leaving.

 "Just because we're new in the neighborhood, they think that we need a welcoming party!" Ms. Coy said furiously. "Those Muggles are really starting to scare me. I mean do they do this every time someone new moves in?"
Cam stared at her mother in silence, thinking of her and Dudley as the only kids on the block. The thought scared her to pieces.
"Are we going to Diagon Alley today?" Cam asked her mother.
"Oh, yes. I forgot. We'll leave in about fifteen minutes. Just let me get ready. You can explore the block while waiting."
"Okay," Cam said a little reluctantly. She reached on the kitchen counter for some Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans and shoved them in her pocket. As she headed out the door, she popped one bean in her mouth. "Yum, toffee!"
Cam wondered where she would go. Looking around the block, she decided to meet her other neighbors. She strolled over to Number 4 Privet Drive and rang the doorbell. A tall boy with messy, jet-black hair and round glasses opened the door. His eyes were a bright green and across his forehead was a thin, lightning shaped scar.
"H-Harry P-Potter?" Cam stammered after seeing the scar.

plz reply, people....at least tell me it sux :(

"Yeah," said Harry Potter, "but I would appreciate it if you called me Harry instead of Harry Potter."
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you."
"No problem. Are you new on Privet Drive?"
"Yeah. The Dursleys (do you know them?) just came over to my house and gave me some pudding. Dudley said that there were no other kids on this block."
"Oh, well, the Dursleys live here. So do I. They don't like me very much and often tell me to keep to myself." Harry said all this rather solemnly.
"That's so sad."
"I know it is. You're a witch aren't you?"
"Yeah, how did you know?"
"Well, you did know who I was by my scar. No muggle would know me without meeting me first."
"I should have known," said Cam, quite embarrassed.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" a voice thundered in the hallway. "GET AWAY FROM THE DOOR!!!"
Harry was pushed aside and in his place stood a very purple Mr. Dursley. He was explaining to Cam that Harry was just a visitor from Dudley's old school. "Don't mind him," he said. "He won't be here later. He was just leaving. Good-bye!" He closed the door quickly.
Cam really doubted everything that Mr. Dursley had said. She walked back home and put another jellybean into her mouth. "Yuck! Spinach!"

 

Hello. That was good! You should keep on writing! You know what...it would be perfect if Cam went to school with Harry, Hermione and Ron because then there would be two boys and two girls. Sorry....I'll leave you to your story. But it's cool. Hope you keep on writing.

Oh, and thank you for actually posting at this site!! I'm like one of about 5 people that actually post here. There are a lot of members, but a lot of newbies come and they leave. So keep on posting, please!!!!!

 Cam and Ms. Coy left their house by means of a Portkey. The portkey was a banana peel in a garbage can about a block away. WHOOSH! Cam and her mom were in Diagon Alley. Their first stop was Gringotts bank. Ms. Coy retrieved fifty gold galleons, thirty silver sickles, and ten bronze knuts.
Their next stop was at Flourish and Blotts. Cam bought all the required books and headed straight for the Magical Menagerie. Ms. Coy had promised to buy Cam a new animal after her dog, Joe-Joe, had died. Cam was very excited. She either wanted an owl or another dog.
The shop was full of chirping, barking, and meowing of all sorts. An infinite number of cages were lined up against the walls. Cam first headed to the dogs. Dogs of all breeds and sizes romped in a playpen.
"I don't think you should get another dog, Honey-bear," said Ms. Coy.
"Why not?"
"It'll be really hard to take care of and you won't have much space in your dormitory."
"Okay. I'll go look at the owls then."
There were many different colored owls. There were many to choose from, but Cam was particularly interested in a bright orange one. It was very lively and looked very friendly. "I want this one," she said to the clerk.
"Okay. The price will be two galleons please. What will you name him?" asked the clerk.
"I think I'll name him Sunkist after the muggle orange juice company," replied Cam.
Ms. Coy placed the coins on the counter.
"Thank you very much! Please come again!" said the clerk happily.

Afterward, Cam ran to Quality Quidditch Supplies. She had been saving up some money for a new racing broom. Now that she was in her fifth year, she would be able to bring it to school. Hopefully, she would be able to make her house's Quidditch team. A Firebolt was on display in the main window. Its red paint was gleaming. Cam ran into the store.
"How much for the Firebolt?" she asked excitedly.
"Finally a Firebolt buyer not gazer," said the clerk who's nametag said Greg. "How much do you have?"
Cam pulled out her coin purse. "I have six galleons and twelve sickles. Is that enough?"
"It's enough for me," said Greg. "No one's buying that poor broom because they think it's too expensive. No one even asks for the price."
"Thank you so much!" Cam said happily as she put all her remaining money on the counter.
Greg stepped out from behind the counter and stepped into a small cupboard like room. After coming out, he handed Cam a large slim box in a bag. Cam ran out of the store to her mother who was waiting by Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor. She had already finished buying everything on Cam's supply list and had bought two double fudge sundaes. As they licked their ice cream cones, Cam showed her mother her new broom.
"Wow! That's a very nice broom!"
"It's more than very nice, Mum. It's the best broom there is!" said Cam.
"Well, we better get going home. You have a big day tomorrow."

 

When they arrived to Number 7, the sky was already pink with sunset. The Coys stepped into their house and closed the door behind them.
"I'm going to go pack up my trunk for tomorrow," Cam said.
"Okay. I'll call you down for supper," Ms. Coy answered.
Cam went into her bedroom. Her mother had moved all of her new books and supplies to her room with a simple summoning charm. Sunkist was already perched on the headboard of Cam's bed. Cam popped another jellybean in her mouth. "Eeww! Liver! Why don't I get any good ones?"
Every book was placed neatly in Cam's trunk along with her clothes and robes. Her wand (Yew, nine inches, unicorn hair) was placed on her bedside table along with the set of clothes she was going to wear the next day.
Behind her bed was a picture of a little girl, a man, and a black and white dog. They looked very happy. The dog was licking the little girl's face as she giggled. The man patted the dog on its head and with his other hand, was waving at Cam. It was Cam (at a younger age), her father, Jeremy, and Joe-Joe. A tear came to Cam's eye. She wiped it away quickly. Her father was framed and sent to Azkaban; he died there about a month later. A muggle car hit her dog, Joe-Joe. Now it was only Cam and her mother.
"Supper time!" Ms. Coy called from downstairs. Cam jogged down the stairs. The smell of steak and fries filled the air.
"Smells good, Mum," Cam praised.
"Thanks, Honey-Bear. I got it from one of Gilderoy Lockhart's old cooking books. It's a shame he had to go and lose his memory. According to him, this is a common muggle dish in America."
 

Dinner was quiet. Cam was still thinking about the picture in her bedroom. Suddenly Ms. Coy started up a conversation by asking, "Are you excited about tomorrow, Honey-Bear?"
"I guess so," Cam said not very interested in the conversation.
"I have to tell you something," Ms. Coy started.
"Charm away."
"Well. The truth is...do you promise you won't get mad?"
"I promise." Cam was afraid of what might be coming next.
"Umm, I don't know how to say this, but I'm going out with someone."
Cam paused for a second. "Wait a minute! Hold on! Why didn't you tell me this before? Who is it?"
"I really don't think that you want to know."
"I really think that I do want to know."
"Ok...it's...it's...Kevin."
"You mean that guy from work?" Cam asked in disbelief.
Ms. Coy nodded. She worked at Gringotts Bank. A man named Kevin La Torre worked there too. He had tanned skin and a shaved head (not all the way shaved). He was cute, but Cam didn't like him much for some reason. He was usually very nice to Cam, giving her Droobble's Best Blowing Gum and Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans every time he saw her. I knew it, Cam thought, I knew he liked my mom and I knew Mum liked him. How could I have not known?
"You're not mad are you, Honey-Bear?" Ms. Coy asked carefully.
"Not really I guess," Cam said, "but there's one thing that might...actually, make that two things that would make me happier."
"What is it Honey-Bear?"
"I want you to promise me that you won't go out, like, every night."
"Alright," Ms. Coy said a little reluctantly.
"And, I want you to sign my Hogsmeade permission slip," she added quickly and hopefully. Ms. Coy didn't want Cam to go to Hogsmeade during her first year at Hogwarts. She didn't think it was "healthy".
Ms. Coy finally gave in. "Okay, okay. Boy, the things I do for love and my kid."

 The next morning, Cam awoke with a start. She looked at the clock on her bedside. The digital numbers blinked
12:00. There must have been a power outage last night, thought Cam, I'm going to be late! She quickly dressed up and woke up her mom. While her mother got ready, Cam heaved her trunk into a car that her mother had had appear with a flick of her wand. She ran back upstairs and put Sunkist in his cage. He hooted loudly as Cam threw him into the back seat of the car.

Luckily, there was no traffic on the highway. They arrived at King's Cross just in time. Cam ran through the barrier between Platforms nine and ten. Ms. Coy followed. The train was going to leave in ten minutes. Ms. Coy kissed Cam on the head and gave her a coin purse full of money for the journey.
"That money's for your snack on the train and for your trips to Hogsmeade." Ms.Coy looked worried at the sound of the place.
"Don't worry, Mum. I'll be fine. I'll write to you as soon as I get there."
"Okay." The whistle blew. Ms.Coy gave her daughter one last hug and a kiss. "I love you, Honey-Bear."
"Bye, Mum!" Cam walked towards the Hogwarts Express and hopped inside the scarlet train engine.

 The journey on the Hogwarts Express was boring until people started to show up. Cam sat alone in her compartment when a familiar face looked into the compartment. It was Harry! Cam was so happy to see someone that she knew.  "Hi, Harry!" she said.
"Hey, Cam. Can I stay here?"
"Sure."
"Do you mind if my friends stay with us?"
"Not at all!" Cam said, wanting to meet more people.
A bushy brown haired girl and a tall, red head boy walked into the compartment. Their names were Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. Harry introduced them to Cam.  "Nice to finally meet you," Ron said in a soft voice. "Harry's told us so much about how you two are neighbors."
"Well, I guess we are," Cam replied.
"Sorry to butt in, but do you like to read?" Hermione finally found her voice and spoke.
"Oh, I love to read." This answer surprised Harry and Ron.
"You do?" Hermione squealed. "These two hardly ever pick up a book. I'm so glad that someone around here likes something besides Quidditch."
"I like Quidditch too," Cam added quickly, not wanting to hurt anyone's feelings. At these words Harry and Ron seemed more interested int the conversation.
"Who's your favorite team?" Ron asked excitedly. "I like the Chudley Cannons."
"You do? Aren't they eighth in their league?" Cam asked. She was amazed that Ron could like a team that played that badly.
"Ninth," Ron corrected. "It doesn't matter though. I know in my heart that they will catch up soon." He grinned at the thought. Harry just snorted a laugh, obviously trying to hide it.

 The four new friends sat in the compartment for about an hour when a blonde haired boy walked into the compartment. Two big drones followed him. They looked like the biggest bullies on campus, but Cam couldn't help liking the blonde boy's looks. These people were Draco Malfoy, Gregory Goyle, and Vincent Crabbe.
Malfoy looked at Harry. "So, Potter's come back to Hogwarts." He hadn't noticed Cam." "So has the dirty mudblood and the poor fire spark." Crabe and Goyle sblack personed. "I thought you'd drop out after nearly dying last year. Now that we're in our fifth year, we'll beat your team at Quidditch, Potter."
"How?" challenged Harry. "By letting the Snitch hover above your head? I don't think that will help your team much, Malfoy." It was obvious to Cam that Harry and Malfoy didn't like each other very much. Even Hermione and Ron looked ready to fight with Harry.
"Well-" Malfoy didn't get to finish his sentence. All of a sudden, he saw Cam and walked over to her. "What's your name?" he asked her.
"Her name's Camryn and I was talking to you!" Harry said.
"I wasn't asking you, Potter," Malfoy responded silkily. He turned back to Cam as if expecting an answer. "Do you want to go for a walk around the train?"
Cam shifted a gaze at Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Hermione realized what was going on. Harry was about to object when Hermione elbowed him in the ribs. "Let her go," she whispered to him. "She'll come back." Harry nodded her away. Cam gave a thankful look to Hermione and was out the door with Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle.

 "So your name's Camryn?" Malfoy asked once they were alone in another compartment.
"Yeah. Camryn Coy. You can call me Cam. I transferred to Hogwarts from Beauxbatons."
"Really?" Malfoy said. "Last year, we had the Triwizard Tournament held at Hogwarts. A 'part-veela' from Beauxbatons was in it. She was really pretty, but you're deffinately a lot prettier." He was obviously flirting.
Cam couldn't help but smile. "What house are you in?"
"Slytherin," he said proudly.
Cam heard a lot of bad things about the Slytherin house. The most evil wizards came from Slytherin House. You-Know-Who, the evilest of all evil, was in it. Cam wasn't sure she should trust Malfoy, but she couldn't help it. She trusted him with everything she had. She trusted him with her soul, her mind. She trusted him with her heart. It was a weird feeling: trusting a Slytherin.
"I was wondering," Malfoy continued, "that, maybe, this Saturday, we could go to Hogsmeade and eat at Three Broomsticks for lunch?"
"Alright," Cam agreed rather quickly and happily.
"Alone?" Malfoy added. Cam was more than happy to agree, even though she thought he was pushing it. "It's a date then," Malfoy said.
"You bet it is."
"Oh, I didn't quite introduce myself," Malfoy said as if he just noticed this. "I'm Draco Malfoy. But everybody calls me Malfoy. I don't really like the Draco part."
Cam laughed at Malfoy's remark and left.

Draco is a funny name... same with Sirius... geez!  Wizards like to name their kids after constellations, huh? lol  :D

The story is getting muy interesante!!! keep on!!!

ok....i'm really sorry i haven't posted.  i got in trouble and was kept in solitary confindment(SP?) for about a week.  good news is i'm back, so i'll post some more soon.

 She ran back to the compartment where Harry, Ron, and Hermione were. She told them what had happened. Ron and Harry stood with their mouths open. Hermione seemed to be the only one who understood how much this meant to Cam.
"So what now? He's your boyfriend?" Ron asked in disbelief.
"So what?" It doesn't make me evil or anything. I still want to be sorted into Gryffindor," Cam said confidently.
"Lay off her, Ron," Harry said as Ron started to speak again. "It's not our place to decide her life for her."
"Thank you, Harry." Cam changed into her robes.
The train stopped abruptly about thirty minutes later. Everyone clambered out of the train. Cam went with Harry, Ron, and Hermione to the large Enterance Hall. Once they had entered, two great doors swung open outward. Cam and all the other fifth years piled into the room. It was the Great Hall. Cam looked at the ceiling. It was a navy blue blanket of stars.
Cam seperated from Ron, Harry, and Hermione and joined two other new fifth years. Their names were Tom McGregor and Kathleen Tenechola.
"Hi," Kathleen said cheerfully to Cam and Tom.
Tom adn Cam replied with a whispered 'hello'. They introduced themselves to each other.
"What houses do you want to be sorted in?" Kathleen asked.
"I think I prefer Hufflepuff over all the others," said Tom who had dirty blonde hair. "What about you?" he asked looking at Cam.
"I prefer Gryffindor, but Ravenclaw'snot that bad either," she said.
"I'm for Ravenclaw all the way!" said Kathleen. Her hair was long and black as night.

 The Great Hall was filled with silence as the teachers walked in. After all the teachers were seated, Professor Dumbledore stood up and addressed the large crowd of students.
"Welcome to another year at Hogwarts. The sorting ceremony will now take place. We have three new fifth years and one new third year. They will be sorted first. Then teh first years will enter the room and be sorted. Professor McGonagall, if you would please begin."
A teacher with her hair tied in a tight bun and a pointed wizards' hat on her head walked over to Cam, Tom, Kathleen, and a sullen faced third year.
"Coy, Camryn!" she said. Cam sat on a stool. Professor McGonagall placed a patched and frayed hat on top of Cam's head.
Cam was shaking. Please put me in Gryffindor, she pleaded in her head.
A voice answered in her ear, "But what about Slytherin? Isn't there a certain Draco Malfoy in Slytherin?"
But I want Gryffindor, Cam pleaded again. An hour seemed to pass before the hat finally yelled, "GRYFFINDOR!"
Cheers errupted from the Gryffindor house table. Cam stood up, gave the Sorting Hat to Professor McGonagall, and headed toward the Gryffindor house table. She glanced at the Slytherin house table, scanning for Malfoy. He saw her and waved, a look of small disappointment on his face. Cam knew Malfoy wanted her to be in Slytherin. But Cam was in Gryffindor now, and no one could change what she and the hat had thought.
"McGregor, Thomas!" McGonagall cried.
Tom clambered onto the stool. A few seconds later the hat yelled, "GRYFFINDOR!" Tom, with a look of sadness on his face, hurried to the Gryffindor house table. Fred and George Weasley patted Tom roughly on the back. This seemed to make Tom a little happier. The whole table was cheering again.
"Tenechola, Kathleen!"
Kathleen stepped forward and sat on the stool. A minute later the hat yelled, "RAVENCLAW!"
The Ravenclaw table exploded into cheers and whistles. Kathleen stood up and jogged happily to the Ravenclaw house table. The sullen faced third year was sorted into Slytherin.

 After the first years were sorted, the feast began. There was a lot of food. Cam was so hungry that she piled her plate with mashed potatoes, gravy, and chicken. The food was delicious. Malfoy came over to Cam's table to say hi.
"Hey, Cam," he said, "congratulations."
"Thanks, Malfoy."
"Since when were you nice, Malfoy?" Ron shot.
Cam could tell that Malfoy wanted to yell an insult at Ron, but he held himself back. Instead, he said calmly,"Ever since I met Cam. You must be really thick headed not to notice that." Cam blushed. "I better get back to my table, Cam."
"Okay, bye." Malfoy left.
About an hour later, Cam headed to the Gryffindor common room with Hermione, Ron, and Harry.
"Password?" asked the Fat Lady.
"Gored Catopus. A prefect downstairs told me," Hermione said.

 The three friends entered the Gryffindor common room. Tom was sitting on a chair by the fireplace. Ron and Harry went to the boys' dormitories while Hermione went to the bathroom. Cam approached Tom. "Are you alright?"
Tom jumped. "Yeah, I guess so." Tom blushed at the sight of Cam. "You know what, I'm not so great I guess."
"What happened?"
"Well, you're really nice to me," he said. Cam sat down beside him. "You're going out with Malfoy aren't you?"
"Yeah."
"Sorry, it's just that, you don't seem the type to be going out with a Slytherin."
"Oh. Well, I'm sorry you didn't get sorted into Hufflepuff," Cam said to change the subject. "I know how much it meant to you."
"Thanks," said Tom. "Well, I better get going to bed."
"Me too. 'Night, Tom."
As Cam walked up the stairs to the girls' dormitories, she couldn't help noticing that Tom was looking up at her.
"I think he likes you," Hermione said after Cam told her about her "meeting" with Tom.
"But I'm already going out with Malfoy," Cam said. She was trying to get Hermione to change her mind.
"It doesn't matter. I think he's jealous."
Cam decided to write a letter to her mother to take her mind off Tom and Malfoy.

Dear Mom,
I had a great time on the Hogwarts Express. I sat with my new friends Harry, Ron, and Hermione. I made another good friend on the train too. His name is Draco Malfoy, but everyone calls him Malfoy. He doesn't really like the Draco part. We're starting classes tomorrow. I was sorted into Gryffindor! Isn't it wonderful? Anyway, please answer soon. I'll send this letter with Sunkist. Bye! I love you!

Cam folded the letter, sealed it, and gave it to Sunkist to deliver. Sunkist flew out the window looking like a bright orange star in the distance. Cam decided to keep her relationship with Malfoy a secret from her mother. She didn't want her mother to get mad at her for going out with a Slytherin if she was still mad at her for going out with Kevin La Torre.

At breakfast the next moring, Cam received her schedule from Professor McGonagall. It read:

Charms: 9 a.m.
D.A.D.A.: 9:45 a.m.
History of Magic: 10:40 a.m.
Lunch: 11:50 a.m.
Care of Magical Creatures: 1 p.m.
Potions: 1:45 p.m.
Herbology: 2:30 p.m.

Cam couldn't help noticing that Hermione, Ron, and Harry had the same schedule.
"Aren't you supposed to be in your third year?" Ron asked. "You're thirteen aren't you?"
"Yes, but Madam Maxime, she's head of Beauxbatons you know, well, she was very approving of my grades and asked Dumbledore if he could place me in fifth year instead of third."
"Wow, Hermione!" exclaimed Ron, "you've got competition. You didn't go up two whole years!"
"I don't care," Hermione said. "We better get going, we have Charms class in ten minutes."
The three friends swept down the hallway towards the Charms classroom. "Who are we doubling with?" Harry asked.
"Ravenclaw," said Ron. Harry paused.
"Don't worry, Cho's in her sixth year remember? We're in our fifth. She won't be there to see you blushing." Ron laughed but stopped after Harry punched his arm.

 In Charms class, Harry was surprised to see Cho there. She had talked with Professor Flitwick. She was taking extra subjects and had to take Charms with the fifth years for the rest of the year.
Ron partnered with Hermione while rubbing his arm. He was also red in the face. Harry partnered with Cho and Cam partnered with Tom. They were learning how to do the Reading Charm, which was very helpful when doing homework if you did it properly.
"Now, class, repeat after me, Flippados Paggium!" squeaked Professor Flitwick.
"Flippados Paggium!" the class repeated.
"Good. Now please work the charm on your books."
By the end of the class, only Hermione and Cam were able to make the Reading Charm work correctly. On their way to Defense Against the Dark Arts, Cam and Hermione chatted about what they had learned from the books they had so quickly read.
"WOW! We'll be able to read the whole library by the end of the year with this charm!" exclaimed Hermione.
"I know. It'll be so much fun," Cam said.
Harry decided to change the subject. "CAm, did you know that there are Quidditch tryouts on Friday? Are you trying out?"
"Of course! Are there any spots left for Chasers?"
"Yeah...Alicia Spinnett dropped out of the team because her grades were too low."
"Cool. I'll be there."

 When they arrived at their Defense Against the Dark Arts class, they took four seats in the front. "We should be getting a new teacher this year," Hermione whispered to Cam. Right after she said this, a tall brown haired man walked into the room. His hair became messier as he rushed to his desk.
"Welcome, clath. Ath you may already know, I am you new Defenth Againth the Dark Arth teacher. My name ith Profethor Granhite." He had a terrible lisp. It was very hard to make out what he was saying. "We shall be thtudying werewolvth for our firth lethon. Pleath open your bookth to page 202."
After Defense Against the Dark Arts, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Cam, and Tom appeared at their most boring class: History of Magic. Cam and Hermione passed notes while Professor Binns, their teacher, lectured about the Great Stove Disaster of the Ministry of Magic.

 At lunch, the four friends sat side by side while eating Alfredo Pasta. Malfoy arrived and asked Cam what subject she had next.
"Care of Magical Creatures," Cam answered.
"Same here," said Malfoy. "Do you want to be my partner? I think that we have to work in couples today. We're going to be learning about Pixies."
"Okay," Cam agreed, though she was thoroughly confused. How could Malfoy know what they were going to be doing? She was sure Hagrid wouldn't tell him or Snape because he didn't like either of them.
In Care of Magical Creatures, Hagrid told everyone to get a partner. How did Malfoy know we were going to need partners, wondered Cam. But things became creepier as Hagrid handed each group a sealed bottle with a Pixie inside.
"We have Potions next," Malfoy told Cam at the end of the lesson. "Do you want to sit with me? I mean, we only have two subjects together."
"Of course. As long as we sit closest to the front as you can," Cam said. She knew that Malfoy liked to sit in the back so that he wouldn't get caught messing around.
"Is the middle okay?" asked Malfoy.
"The middle's great."

At Potions class Malfoy and Cam sat in the middle of the class. While trying to make a sleeping potion, Malfoy handed Cam a necklace with a thin silver chain and a multi-colored moon charm.
"It's beautiful!" Cam exclaimed quietly as she put it on. Malfoy clipped it in the back.
"I got it by owl this morning from my father," Malfoy said. "He wanted me to sell it at Hogsmeade, but I thought it would look better hanging around your neck."
"What are you going to tell your dad?"
"I'll tell him I couldn't sell it and that someone stole it afterwards."
"Will your dad really buy that?"
"Don't worry about it. Your worth the trouble to me."
Cam smiled. Then she remembered. "How did you know that we were going to have to be in couples and that we were learning about Pixies in Care of Magical Creatures?"
"I'm not sure...I just had a feeling."  

Professor Snape asked Cam to stop talking, but Malfoy got her out of trouble by telling Snape that he was asking Cam a question. He seemed to have bought it because he left Cam alone after that.
After Potions Cam said 'good-bye' to Malfoy and headed to the greenhouses for Herbology with Hermione, Harry, and Ron. They couldn't find Tom after class.
"I can't believe Snape didn't take any points away from Gryffindor when you were talking to Malfoy," Harry said.
"Snape favors Malfoy. That's why," Ron said gruffly. "Since he favors Malfoy, anyone Malfoy favors he leaves alone."
"It sounds like your jealous of Malfoy, Ron," Harry said to his friend.
"I am not!" Ron snapped.
"What were you guys talking about?" Hermione asked Cam. Cam pulled the necklace from under her shirt.
"He gave that to you?" Ron asked in disbelief.
"Well, yeah," was all Cam could say.
"It must have cost him a fortune," Hermione said. "It's so beautiful." As they continued walking, they didn't see Tom in the shadows watching their every move. Or Cam's every move.  

After Herbology, Harry, Ron, Hermoine, and Cam caught up with Tom and headed for Gryffindor Tower. Tom and Harry went to the boys' dormitories to shower. Cam went to the library while Hermione and Ron stayed in the common room to do their homework.
"The library's so much quieter than the common room," Cam said to herself.
When she arrived at the library she sat at an empty table in the corner of the room. She had a paper due to Professor Binns about the Great Stove Disaster and she hadn't been paying atention to his lecture. She found a book in one of the shelves and started to read it with the Reading Charm she had learned earlier that day.
"Flippados Paggium," she said. She finished the book in about thirty seconds.
"You're pretty good at that charm," a slick voice said behind her. Cam turned around, startled by the sudden noise. It was Malfoy.
"Oh, hi, Malfoy," she said. He sat down with her.
"Hey," he said. He inched his chair closer to Cam. "Can I do my homework with you?"
"Sure."
"We have a Potions paper due to Professor Snape...Can you help me?"
Cam and Malfoy finished their papers in about thirty-five minutes. Malfoy slowed Cam down, but she didn't mind. After they were done Malfoy gave Cam a hug and left for the Slytherin common room.  

 Cam sat in the library for an hour, finishing her essay for Professor Binns when a short Asian girl approached Cam's table.
"Hi," Cam said cheerfully. "Do you need something?" Cam hadn't seen the girl around Hogwarts before.
"Yes," said the Asian girl. "My name is Valerie; Val for short. I arrived today and was sorted into Slytherin." Val's short black hair was pulled back into a high ponytail. She didn't look like the type to be sorted into Slytherin. In fact, Val reminded Cam very much of Cho Chang, the sixth year in Ravenclaw.

Whew!  Ok....Enjoy!  Just to let you know, I'm not on on weekends....I'm only on on school days....Just thought you should know.  (so you don't get mad at me or anything! ;))

   "No. I'm in my third year. I'm only thirteen."
   "Oh, I'm thirteen too, but I was moved up to fifth year because of my grades."
   "Wow! You must be really smart to be moved up two whole years!" Val exclaimed.
   Cam laughed. "Yeah, I guess so. You remind me of my friend Ron." Cam helped Val with her homework for about an hour until she headed back to Gryffindor Tower.

When Friday finally came, Cam headed to the Quidditch Pitch with Harry and Ron. She brought her Firebolt with her. As they entered the Quidditch Pitch, Cam saw that another team was also having tryouts: Slytherin. Cam saw Malfoy and waved. He waved back.
"Do you have to do that in front of us?" Ron asked angrily.
"You don't have to look you know," Cam snapped.
Ron and Harry headed in the other direction while Cam strode toward Malfoy. "Hey," he said. "Are you trying out? What position?"
"I'm going out for Chaser," replied Cam.
"Oh," Malfoy said. "I'm Slytherin's Seeker. I battle up with Harry."
"I heard," Cam said remembering Harry and Malfoy's argument on the Hogwarts Express. "I better get going...They'll be starting soon." Malfoy hugged Cam and wished her good luck. Cam left for the other side of the field. Madam Hooch was there along with Harry, Ron, and a small crowd of Gryffindors. Cam saw a short girl in the crowd and hurried toward her for they were the only girls trying out.
"Hi," Cam said. She introduced herself. "What's your name?"
"I'm Samantha. Sam for short," the young girl replied. "I'm in my fifth year. I just arrived yesterday. I decided to try out when I saw an announcement flyer in Professor Dumbledore's office."

thanks everyone for posting.  i really appreciate it.  just to let you know....the studying paid off.  i aced my first two exams and am feeling really happy at the moment so i'll post some more later.  and Harrys_girl_friend: sure u can put my story on your short stories thing.  ;)i'm really glad you like my story. :D

 "I'm in my fifth year too! What position are you trying out for?"
"I don't play much," Sam said, "so I'm trying out for back up Seeker."
"Oh," Cam said. "Harry's our team's Seeker."
"Harry? Harry Potter?" Sam asked in disbelief.
"Yeah, he's over there," Cam said pointing out Harry in the large crowd.
"He's cute," Sam said.
"Ooo...Looks like someone's got a crush on Harry..." Sam blushed. Harry cam over and started yelling so loudly that Cam thought she'd be deaf.
"I'M CAPTAIN! I'M CAPTAIN! Madam Hooch made me captain of the team!" Harry shouted.
Once Cam recovered from her sudden loss of hearing, she introduced Sam to Harry. For about a minute, Sam and Harry looked into each other's eyes. All they could say was 'hi' repeatedly. They looked like they were frozen in a picture. The silence was broken when Ron hurtled over and said, "Cam, Chasers are up next!" Harry and Sam jerked back to reality.

"I'm coming!" Cam called. "I'll see you two later," she told Harry and Sam.
"I have to come anyway," Harry said. "I have to judge you."
"Oh, okay. Why don't you come too, Sam?" Cam headed to the goal posts with Harry and Sam behind her.
"Mount your broom," Madam Hooch told Cam. "Three...Two...One...UP!" Cam soared into the air. The wind blew against her face. She took a deep breath. Harry was already in the air in front of her.
"Okay, Cam, you need to throw each of these balls into one of the hoops. I'll toss them to you. You'll be timed for about two minutes. Each goal you make will give you one point. The person with the most points will be the new Chaser for the team. Ready? GO!" Harry threw a ball at Cam. Cam threw it and scored! Cam made all of her shots within the time limit. Her score was 102.
"You were BRILLIANT!" Ron praised as Cam landed on the soft ground. They slapped a high five.
"Great job, Cam!" Sam congratulated. "I'm next. I better get going."
"I'll watch you. I have to wait for Ron anyway. He's trying out for Keeper," Cam said.
 

Sam had to catch about a hundred golf balls that Harry threw at her. He didn't pitch them at her but he seemed to throw it hard enough for Sam to catch it easily. When she was done, Sam flew her broom to the ground and landed softly. Harry looked at her from his broom.
"Great job, Sam!"
"Thanks, Cam. I think you're up next, Ron."
Ron hopped onto a spare broom and flew up to the three goal posts. He had to block shots that Katie Bell threw. He blocked all of Katie's shots but one at the end. Cam thought he might just be tired.
"You were great!" Cam said to Ron. He looked disappointed.
"One shot. Just one shot! I could've blocked that!"
"Don't worry about it," Cam said reassuringly. "Let's go back to the common room. Do you want to come, Sam?"
"No thanks...I'll wait for Harry."
"Okay, see you later."
 

ok that's all 4 today.  bye!  :)

Cool!  Except the 247 scores in 2 minutes was unrealistic (if she made a goal every second, she would still only have 120)... and everyone seemed to do a really good job... but otherwise, I like!  And congrats on your finals!  Two A's!  I don't even think I got that many  :D

Why is it that your story is ALWAYS on the top? I read the last post of this story, then I posted something on another story, then I checked this story and no one had posted but it was still on the top of the list! How, I ask? Just HOW??? hehe ^_^

Because this story has a tac mark on the side of the title, so it's tacked to the top forever and ever.

WHAT??? For ever? How does that work? How does it get a tack mark? What if she finishes writing her story and people finish reading it?

Cam and Ron left. When they finally arrived at the castle, the sky was still bright. "Malfoy isn't that bad once you get to know him," Cam said to start a conversation.
"What do you see in him anyway?" Ron asked grumpily.
"Well, besides his eyes, he's really nice to me. He's so sweet and he's trying so hard to be your friend. He gets along okay with Hermione. It's you and Harry that don't give him a chance. Why don't you just get to know him?" Cam asked desperately.
"It's just that when I remember what he did to Harry, Hermione, and me I don't think that he'll ever change."
"But he has," Cam argued.
"I'll try to be nice," Ron said. "I'll tell Harry too, but the past says a lot about him."
"He's changed though," Cam said again.
"Can we drop the subject?" Ron asked hopefully. "I just don't think Malfoy deserves someone like you; that's all. What about Tom? He's really cool."
"Yeah, but..."
"He likes you a lot you know."
"How do you know that?"
"He told me in Potions class while you were with Malfoy."
"Oh." Cam was speechless. How could Tom like her? She was going out with Malfoy, and Tom knew that.
"Look, if you and Malfoy break up, will you give Tom a chance?"
"But we're not going to..."
"Will you?"
"Yeah, but we're not going to break up. At least not anytime soon." The rest of the walk to Gryffindor Tower was quiet.
 

if it gets too "mushy" and u don't like it, i'm sorry.  just tell me....

The sun had already started to set. The sky was pink. Ron and Cam saw Hermione in the common room and sat by the fire. Cam teamed up with Hermione while playing Wizard's Chess against Ron. Ron still won though. They played for two hours before starting to worry about Harry.
"I wonder where he went," Ron wondered out loud.
"He probably ditched with Sam. I really think they like each other," Cam said.
"Sam sounds like a really nice person," Hermione said. Cam had told Hermione about Sam while they were playing Wizard's Chess.
"She is," Cam and Ron said at the same time. They all laughed.
"Maybe we should look for Harry," Cam said.
"But we might get into trouble!" Hermione exclaimed.
"We won't," Ron said reassuringly. They all decided to look for Harry.
The three friends snuck outside into the garden. They looked around for about ten minutes before finding Harry on a bench near the water fountain. He wasn't alone. Sam was with him.
They obviously hadn't spotted Cam, Ron, and Hermione yet because they were kissing on the bench. Ron was wide-eyed. Hermione looked as if she wanted to scream, but she held it in. Cam jumped from the bush where they were hiding. Ron and Hermione followed.
"We were looking all over for you! Were you two here this whole time?!" Cam exclaimed.
Harry and Sam just smiled guiltily. They didn't seem at all ashamed of what they had been doing. I mean, let's face it, who would be if they were having "fun"? Neither was going out with someone at the time, so they were not "guilty" of anything. Cam, Ron, and Hermione went back to Gryffindor Tower in a stunned silence. Harry and Sam followed closely behind. Sam's head leaned on Harry's shoulder while Harry supported her by putting his arm around her waist.
When they finally reached the Gryffindor common room, Harry planted a "good night kiss" on Sam's cheek and headed up to the boys' dormitories with Ron. Cam, Hermione, and Sam headed in the opposite direction to the girls' dormitories.
 

 In the boys' dormitories, Ron and Harry were talking...
"What were you doing?" Ron asked.
"What did it look like?" Harry answered, rather annoyed.
"It looked like you were making out under the stars!" Ron yelled.
"Duh! We were!" Harry shot back. He was rather annoyed that Ron was being "over protective."
"You don't even know her that well! For all you know, she could be working with You-Know-Who or something!" Ron said. "You're my best friend. I just don't want you to get hurt."
"Oh my gosh, Ron! I do know her. We talked before we...never mind." Ron was silent while he listened to Harry talk about what happened.
"She stayed with me while I judged the others who were trying out. When tryouts were over, there was still light out. So, I decided to give Sam a tour of the castle since she was new. As we walked around the school, we talked about our families and got to know each other better.
"It started to get dark. We were about to go back to Gryffindor Tower when, as if by coincidence, the tour led us to the garden. We decided to take a rest on one of the benches. She said she was cold so I got closer to her and put my arm around her to try and make her warmer. It got really quiet. We looked at the sky and started to talk about the stars.
"I looked into her eyes. They sparkled like jewels. I really liked her. More than I ever did Cho. I don't know why I just did. The way she talked, the way she walked, the way she acted around me...I couldn't resist it. Everything about her was just so perfect.
"As I looked at her, she looked at me. We inched closer and closer the more we spoke. I started it. I reached over and kissed her on the lips. 'Will you be my girlfriend?' I asked. She smiled and her eyes told me that she was laughing with joy on the inside. 'Yes' she said. We kissed until you guys came along.... It seemed like it was all a dream..."
"It seemed like it was all a dream..." Sam was telling Cam and Hermione what had happened with Harry. She sighed. "Oh my gosh..." she said dreamily. "I love him so much."

 The next morning, Cam, Hermione, and Sam met Harry, Ron, and Tom in the common room. They headed to the Great Hall for breakfast. Tom was looking at Cam. Ron noticed and caught Cam's eye. He gave her and "I told you so," look. Cam looked back at Tom. He quickly turned away.
After eating breakfast, the group of friends prepared for their trip to Hogsmeade. While heading for the train, they split up. Ron, Hermione, and Tom headed for the train with Harry and Sam. Cam went to look for Malfoy. She found him waiting for her by a bench that had "Hogsmeade" painted in bright red letters. They went in the train and sat in a compartment numbered 378. Harry, Ron, Tom, Sam, and Hermione were in the compartment next to them (379). Crabbe and Goyle stayed at Hogwarts (Malfoy wanted some privacy and told them to stay).
Cam and Malfoy sat in their compartment and talked.
"Are you sure your father doesn't mind me?" Cam asked.
"Well, I didn't really tell him...How about your parents?" Malfoy replied.
"I decided not to tell my mum yet." She told Malfoy about her mother and Kevin.
"Oh, I see. What about your father?"
"He was framed and died in Azkaban..."
"Oh, I'm sorry," Malfoy said.
"Why? You didn't do anything."
"Well, yeah, but my dad sometimes sends people to Azkaban. Most of the time, I think that the people he sends are innocent. He usually sends them there if he doesn't like them. Otherwise, he wouldn't bother."
Cam gasped. "Oh my gosh!" she said. "What's your dad's name?" Cam looked like she would be afraid of the answer.

Malfoy looked at her with wide eyes. He finally managed to say, "Lucius...Lucius Malfoy."
Cam was silent. Malfoy knew then that it was his father who had sent Cam's to Azkaban. Tears welled up in Cam's eyes. She put her hand to her head as if thinking. Malfoy took her in his arms.
"Oh my gosh, Cam...I'm really sorry...If I had known then..."
"You wouldn't have known. Don't worry about it. Feuds between our parents won't change what we feel about each other," Cam choked. Her face was red from crying. She was tearing on Malfoy's shirt, but he didn't seem to mind. He just held her close and tried to comfort her with his hugs. They fell asleep on the train and awoke at the sudden jerk the train made.

 "We're here," Malfoy said. He looked at his watch. "It's twelve thirty. Want to go to Three Broomsticks now?"
"All right. Let's go," answered Cam. They put their conversation from the train behind them.
The Three Broomsticks was crowded. "Hello, Mr. Malfoy," a young witch greeted them. "Your room is waiting."
"You got us a room?" Cam asked in disbelief.
"Yeah, I had my dad reserve it; just for us."
There was a round table in the room. On the table was a menu. Cam sat down on one side of the table while Malfoy sat on the other side. Cam used her wand and did a copying charm on the menu. A new copy appeared and floated to Malfoy.
"I'll pay," Malfoy said as a waitress came and took their order. Cam ordered a glass of Butterbeer and a bowl of clam chowder. Malfoy ordered some Butterbeer and a plate of spaghetti.
"Muggle foods aren't that bad," Malfoy said as he finished his spaghetti.
"I told you," said Cam. They stood up and stood by the wall near the door.

 "Cam," Malfoy said, "I love you. I don't know how, but I do.  Before you came along, I felt...empty.  You made my life fuller.  It was like I was missing one half of me without you.  You came along and that half was filled.  That's probably why I would pick on all the Gryffindors and other kids.  You taught me that that was wrong and that I could still be good even if I was a Slytherin."
Cam smiled. "I love you too."
"I don't care what our parents might think about each other. I love you anyways. I want you to know that." At that, he leaned over and kissed Cam on the lips. They kissed for about another minute when Harry, Ron, and Tom fell through the door. Cam screamed in surprise.
"Sorry," the three boys said at once.
"What were you doing?" Malfoy demanded.
"Making sure you and Cam were okay," Ron said as politely as he could.
"Well you just interrupted us. Thank you!" Cam said. She was obviously stressed that her 'friends' had ruined one of the most magical moments of her life.
"Hey, we said we were sorry," Tom said. He saounded sad and a bit disappointed. Did he see us, Cam thought to herself.
"Can you guys just leave?" Cam asked trying to keep her cool. They left.
"So," Malfoy said as they left, "where were we?" Cam smiled. They leaned over once again when a sudden pain seared through Cam's chest. She gasped.
"What's wrong?" Malfoy asked in panic.
"I....I...can't breathe..." Cam fell to the ground. She felt Malfoy hold her in his arms before the room turned black... .

Voices were whispering in Cam's head. She jerked awake. Her surroundings were different. She was on a large, white bed. She noticed Ron, Harry, and Malfoy. She blurted the first question that came to her mind: "Where am I?"
"You're in Madam Promfrey's hospital wing at Hogwarts," Harry said.
"What happened?" Cam asked.
"Well," said Malfoy, "you started saying you couldn't breathe. Then you fell to the ground and passed out." His face was unusually white and his voice trembled as he spoke. "I yelled for help and Harry, Ron, and Tom came running back into the room. They helped me pick you up. Luckily, Dumbledore was also at the restaurant. He asked what happened. After we told him, he wrote a note for Madam Promfrey considering your health. Then, he waved his wand and we appeared here. Tom wanted to stay behind to tell Hermione, Sam, and Val what happened. I was really worried about you."
"So, I just passed out?" Cam asked. She was thoroughly confused.
"Yup," Ron said. Cam thought hard about what was just told to her. Then, suddenly, she remembered the voice she heard while she was 'out'. She told them about it.
"That's weird," Harry said. "Did you hear anything else?"
"No," Cam said. "It just kept on repeating that Gryffindor and Slytherin didn't belong together and that if it happened the loved ones of 'the two' would be destroyed....Maybe it will make more sense if we fill in the blanks."

"What do you mean 'fill in the blanks'?" Ron asked.
"Well...think of a Gryffindor and a Slytherin that are 'together'. Then think of their loved ones."
"Oh, I get it," Malfoy said.
"What?" Harry and Ron asked together.
"The Gryffindor and Slytherin are Cam and me. And our loved ones are our friends and family. I think what Cam is trying to say is..." Malfoy looked disapproving. "No...." he mangaged to say shaking his head.
"Yes," Cam said determined, "we have to break up."
"But, I can't-" Malfoy started.
"We have to," Cam said. "Just until we find out what's going on. We can't risk our friends and family getting hurt." Malfoy held Cam's hand tight. He was breathing hard.
"I can't live without you." The shine in his eyes seemed to have disappeared.
"You won't be without me," Cam reassured him. "I'll still be at this school won't I?  Anyway, we have no choice. Can you two leave the room for a minute?" Cam asked Ron and Harry. They nodded and left.
"Okay," said Malfoy as they left. "You're right. We have to find out what's going on soon. I'll still love you."
"I think I know that.  I will too, but maybe it would be good if we started going out with other people to 'confuse' this voice in my head. If you're wondering why I'm taking this so seriously, it's because Harry's also had 'voices' in his head and most of them came true or were about things that already happened."
"I understand. Maybe I should leave now. It'll take a while to find someone worth replacing you, even temorarily." Cam smiled at Malfoy. He leaned over and gave Cam a hug. "I love you," he whispered as he left the room. Cam went back to sleep.  

hmmm....i think i'll stop posting this story....i don't really like it and i'm getting kinda bored with it.... ::)

You gotta keep reading... ;)  Sorry i didn't post the other day.  i had a last minute basketball practice and wasn't able to post.  I'll post maybe four posts today....

 After two days in the hospital wing, Madam Promfrey finally allowed Cam to leave. Cam had asked Hermione to bring her homework to the hospital wing while she was sick. On her first day back, Cam bumped into Ron on her way to Charms class.
"I heard you and Malfoy broke up," he said.
"Don't remind me," Cam answered. "Remember, it's only temporary. Once we figure out this 'mystery' we'll be back together again." The thought made her smile.
"Look, I'm going to ask Tom to ask you out."
"Why?"
"Because he likes you. Please say you'll say 'yes'. It would mean so much to him."
"Fine. But you have to let me tell Hermione the way you feel."
"What! That's not fair!"
"So you do like her." She caught him. Ron blushed.
"Alright. I'll see you in Charms class."

 In Charms, everyone had to get into pairs of two. Harry partnered with Sam instead of Cho. Ron partnered with Tom and Cam partnered with Hermione. They were learning how to do a copying charm. Since Cam and Hermione already knew how to do this, they made about five copies of the Daily Prophet and started to chat.
"Who do you like?" Cam asked to start the conversation.
"You don't want to know," Hermione said. "It's embarassing."
"I won't laugh. C'mon, Herm. Tell me."
"You promise you won't tell anyone?"
"I promise."
"Well...okay...Ilikeron," she said a little too fast for Cam to understand.
"Who?"
"I-like-Ron." Hermione blushed. "Why are you wondering?"
"Well, I think Ron likes you too," Cam said.
"He does not!" Hermione said, though she smiled at the thought.
"Yeah he does. He told me himself."
"Really?"
"Yeah. You two make such a good couple. I'll tell him to ask you out."
"You will?" Hermione said excitedly. "Do you think he'll listen to you?"
"Don't worry, he'll do anything I tell him to. I'm like a cupid of modern time."

 During History of Magic, Cam and Ron sat in the back of class and started to talk.
"So," Ron asked impatiently, "what did she say?"
"Ask her out," said Cam simply.
"Wha-?"
"She likes you." Ron was silent.
"No way..." But he was smiling. "Okay...I'll ask her at lunch. YES!"
"So what were you and Tom talking about?"
"Oh, well I told him about you and Malfoy breaking up. He's too shy to ask you out though."
"Why?"
"Something about 'he has to get to know you better first'. I know he likes you a lot though."
"Yeah, but he doesn't love me does he?"
"I guess not..." was all Ron could say.

At lunch, Ron pulled Hermione aside.
"Hermione?" he said as he approached her. "Could I talk to you in private?" Hermione nodded and followed Ron.
Cam gave Hermione a quick smile and a thumbs-up. Sam and Harry sat on Cam's right side while Tom sat to her left.
"I heard Malfoy dumped you for that Slytherin girl, Pansy," Tom said. Cam nodded, playing along with Tom. "I told you he was no good."
"It wasn't his choice," Cam finally managed to say. Tom stared at her, wide-eyed. What now, Smarty-Pants, Cam thought to herself.
"Then who's was it?" Tom challenged.
"His father's. His father doesn't like Gryffindors of any sort." What a lame excuse, Cam thought again.

 "Stop trying to stand up for him," Tom argued. "You know he never changed and that he never will!"
"You don't know what you're talking about!" Cam shouted back. Tears started to well up in her eyes. Tom looked like he was about to explode.
"Just let him go!" he finally said. "He doesn't deserve you!"
"How do you know what he deserves or not?" Cam yelled. Tom was silent. Cam stared at him angrily. They looked like two chili peppers standing side by side.
Malfoy had heard the commotion and ran to the Gryffindor table. He ran up to Cam and held her shoulders. "What happened?" They left the Great Hall without another word to Tom or the others. Cam was in tears.

 "I can't go on like this..." Cam and Malfoy were walking down the spiral staircase towards the dungeons.
"Look, no one said it was going to be easy," Malfoy said.
Cam was crying again. "I don't want to be separated anymore....I know I'm acting like such a loser.  I mean, you...you've had to put up with this longer than I have...and I crying like a lunatic!  Besides...I found the source of my 'pain'."
"What is it?" Malfoy asked desperately.
"I was reading the books in the library with the Reading Spell when I found a book containing symbols of 'painful love'....One symbol was a black half moon," she said pulling out her necklace. Malfoy gasped.
"I decided to do some more research on the charm itself. I searched through more books. I came upon Hogwarts: A History. I read that Salazar Slytherin made a half moon charm and handed it down to a relative of his.
"So, I searched the library once again and found a book about Salazar Slytherin. He had a son who fell in love with the daughter of Godric Gryffindor. Slytherin, having a grudge against Gryffindor, created a black half moon charm and have it to his son. His son put the charm on a chain and gave it to Gryffindor's daughter as a love present.
"But he didn't know that his father had cursed the charm. Gryffindor's daughter would have sudden pains and pass out when she got a little too close to Slytherin's son because she was wearing the charm. The only way the necklace can be worn without harming the user is if it is heated by a Hungarian Horntail's fire."
"Then," Malfoy said after Cam had finished her story, "how did my father get a hold of the necklace in the first place?"
"I don't know..."
"Maybe this was in my house and he wanted to get rid of it," Malfoy said eyeing the necklace Cam was holding.
"Maybe..." Cam was looking at Malfoy hopefully; waiting for him to ask her back. They would be together again soon.
"How are things going with you and Pansy?" Cam asked trying to make him feel sorry for her.
"Okay, I guess....Cam? Do you want to give it another shot? I mean, we know the source of your problem now, so we could be a whole lot more careful."
Cam beamed. "Of course!"

Potions class was so much more fun than all Cam's other classes. That was hard to say: Potions being fun. But Snape wasn't giving Cam a hard time because she was sitting with Malfoy. They were making an Ice Potion, so the classroom nearly froze.
Tom turned around and caught a glimpse of Cam and Malfoy sitting together. "I can't believe it!" he said to Ron who was sitting next to him. "I lost my one and only chance...I think I'll use that Incendio charm that Professor Sprout taught us on myself." He was going through a deep depression.
"Don't do that," Ron said trying to cheer him up. "Don't worry about it. They broke up once; I'm sure they'll do it again, and maybe the next time, they won't get back together." This seemed to cheer Tom up a little bit more.
After Potions, the Slytherin and Gryffindor fifth years headed for Hagrid's Hut for Care of Magical Creatures (the classes were switched that day because Hagrid had to do a favor for Dumbledore in Diagon Alley). They were to check on their Pixies. They had been grooming them to breed and produce baby pixies called pallites.
After all their lessons were finished, Cam, Tom, Harry, Sam, Hermione, and Ron headed for Gryffindor Tower. Tom, Harry, and Ron headed straight for the boys' dormitories. Sam went to the girls' dormitories while Cam and Hermione sat in the common room.
"Did he ask you?" Cam asked Hermione.
"Yes," Hermione said simply.
"So, you're together now?"
"Yes!" Hermione said more excitedly. "I can't believe you actually talked him into asking me!"
"I told you I could do it."

 There was another Hogsmeade trip scheduled for that Saturday. Harry decided to allow Malfoy to hang out with them (Harry, Ron, Hermione, Sam, and Tom). Cam was still mad at Tom for what he said about Malfoy. Harry and Sam stayed in their own compartment while Ron and Hermione stayed in theirs.
Cam, Malfoy, and Tom stayed in one compartment. Tom and Malfoy were talking about the newest Quidditch team from America. It was made up of seven teenagers who were found by scouts. The team was called the Flying Eagles. Cam was looking out the window while Tom and Malfoy talked.
What's his problem, Cam wondered to herself. First he's all mad at Malfoy for no reason, now he's acting like his best friend.
The train jerked to a stop. "We're here," Tom said. As they stepped out of their compartment, they saw their friends and walked to Honeydukes to buy candy of all sorts.
Licorice wands, Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans, Drooble's Best Blowing Gum, and Chocolate Frogs were just a few of the tasty treats they bought.

 There was a park nearby. Tom seperated from the couples and headed towards the Shreiking Shack with Seamus Finnigan and Dean Thomas. Each couple seperated: Harry and Sam, Ron and Hermione, and Cam and Malfoy.
Cam and Malfoy walked around the park hand in hand. They were having a great time walking and talking about their families. They crossed a bridge and stopped by a bench. They sat down.
Malfoy sighed. "I'm really glad we're back together again," he said.
"Me too," Cam replied.
"I really do love you, Cam."
"I love you too." They sat on the bench until about 3 o'clock. It was time to leave they caught up with everybody else but Tom (he stayed with Dean and Seamus). They hopped back into the train and headed back to Hogwarts.

Ok...that's all for now.  Christmas is next, and that's a long part, so I'll save it for later.  Enjoy! ;)

 Winter at Hogwarts was very cold. It snowed almost everyday. The grounds were a white bedsheet everymorning. Dumbledore sent out a flyer in the school about a Christmas Dance. It would occur after the Christmas Dinner (7'oclock). Most of the students stayed in order to go to the dance.
Ron was going with Hermione and Harry was going with Sam. Tom decided to go with Lavender. Cam and Malfoy were going together.
On Christmas morning, Cam was awaken by a very hyper Hermione and Sam. They were jumping on her bed yelling at the top of their breath. "MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! OPEN YOUR PRESENTS!"

 "Are all of these mine?" Cam asked surprisingly. She had never gotten so many presents in her life. She usually got about one to three presents a year, even though she always bought presents for her friends. About one or two friends would give her a present and she would exchange a gift with her mother. She looked at the small pile of gifts at her feet. She picked up a medium-sized parcel that was on the top. She opened the card and read it out loud:

To My Dearest Honey Bear,
Merry Christmas! Hope you're doing well. I can't wait to see you again! All of your friends sound very nice. I can't wait to meet them as well. How are you? I'm very sorry I haven't answered your letters. I've been really busy. I hope to be seeing you soon. I was really hoping for you to come back on your Christmas break, but I guess you wanted to stay in school with all of your friends. I love you! Take care and keep out of trouble.

That was nice, Cam thought. She opened the present. It was a Broomstick Servicing Kit like the one Harry had. Cam smiled. She would polish her Firebolt later. She picked up the next package and opened the card.

Merry Christmas! I hope you like this little present I got you. I found it in Hogsmeade while you were with Malfoy and hoped that you would like it. See you around! Love ya lots!

Cam looked at Sam who smiled sheepishly in return. Cam opened the package that was attatched to the card. A box fell out. Cam opened it. It was a traveling kit. It buckled onto your broomstick when traveling. There was a brush, lotion, toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, soap, and a couple of hair clips.
"Thanks, Sam! I love it!" Cam thanked Sam. The next pacage was from someone Cam greatly expected: Kevin La Torre. He gave her a large teddy bear and three boxes of candy including her favorite: Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans.

 "You have to admit he's trying," Hermione said. She had given Cam the book Quidditch Trough the Ages. Cam started reading it right away. Harry and Ron had put their money together and bought Cam a walking figure of a dragon in a Quidditch Stadium. Cam was surprised to find a present from Tom in her pile of gifts. She picked up the box. A letter fell out. It read:

Dear Cam,
Merry Christmas! I'm very sorry about the whole Malfoy thing. It was probably jealousy. Yes...now you know. I like you. I was hoping we could still be friends. I noticed you were giving me the silent treatment. And if you and Malfoy ever break up again, you know one more person you can come to for comfort. Hope we're still friends...

 Cam opened the box. Inside, was a picture frame. There was a picture inside of Cam, Tom, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Malfoy, and Sam at Hogsmeade. They were waving at her. Cam smiled. She had to find Tom right away and say sorry. When she asked Hermione where Tom was, she answered, "Why? Do you like him now?" Cam shook her head. She would just have to look for him after she finished opening her presents.
Suddenly, something fell to the ground. Cam bent down to pick it up. It was a dog tag necklace that people wore in the army. Cam loved anything to do with the US millitary. Before attending Beauxbatons in France, she had lived in America (which is why Cam didn't have a French accent). She looked at the tag. It read: Camryn Coy. Her address was on it. A note was stuck to the chain. It read:

Thought you might like this. Merry Christmas!

Cam smiled. She had to forgive Tom after this. He was very sorry and had proved it with these Christmas presents.

 The last one was from Malfoy. She read the card:

Dear Cam,
Merry Christmas! I'm hoping you like this present I got for you. Sorry for any trouble or pain I put you through. You are my life. I love you. Merry Christmas again!

Cam smiled. Malfoy had given her a pair of moon charm earrings to match her necklace and a large boquet of white flowers. A small note fell from the earring's box:

Don't worry. These aren't cursed. I love you.

The three girls laughed at the joke on the note and headed down to the Great Hall for breakfast.

LoL  Well, Emily...sorry, but Ron is taken for this ficcy.  I'm writing a new one about Hermione and Draco, so maybe then you could be there.... ;)  Thanks for posting and I'm glad you enjoy it.  BTW, Shui...Tom's one of my favorite characters in this story too!  Well, I'll be posting in a bit....hold up....

 After breakfast, the girls headed for Gryffindor Tower. The boys were already there. Cam spotted Tom sitting in a corner. She walked over to him.
"Hi," she said. "Merry Christmas."
"Hey," he answered. He looked a little sad. "Still mad at me?"
"No, I forgive you. Now I know why you've had a grudge against Malfoy."
"It's a stupid reason. I'm really sorry, Cam."
"It's no problem. I said I forgive you."
"Yeah, but-"
"Don't worry about it." She went up to Tom and gave him a hug. Tom smiled. "I'll see you at the dance later," Cam called back as she headed towards Sam and Hermione. "I hope you have fun with Lavender." Tom was smiling.
"Did you really do that?" Sam asked.
"Do what?"
"You hugged him. Malfoy wouldn't have liked that."
"Well, he wasn't here. And besides it's not like it meant anything. We're just friends."
"Whatever," Sam said.

The night came quickly. Cam was very excited about the ball. So were Sam and Hermione. They were going to meet their dates at the statue of the humpebacked witch. Cam was wearing a dark blue, sleeve less, silk dress that matched the color of her earrings. She decided to leave the necklace off in case the night became a little chilly.  Her hair was left down on her shoulders with clips that pulled her hair back. When she looked into the mirror, she reminded herself of her mother. Hermione was wearing a black dress with her hair in a twisted bun. Sam's dress was a royal, midnight purple. Her hair was half tied.
Hermione was talking to Sam when Cam burst into the room. "The girls are ready!" she exclaimed. "Shall we go now?"
Hermione laughed. "Love your formal talk, Cam! Let's go you guys."
The boys (Ron, Harry, and Malfoy) were already at the statue of the witch. "It's about time you girls showed up," Ron said.
"If we took a shorter time," Hermione said, "we wouldn't look the way we do now."
"Oh," said Ron. "Then I appreciate you guys being late." He walked over to Hermione and placed his arm around her waist.
"Let's go," Malfoy said as he took Cam by the hand.
This is going to be the most magical night ever, Cam thought to herself.

"Incase the night gets chilly" lol!

 The Great Hall was beautiful that night. A large Christmas tree stroked the ceiling. Its large ornaments were shining on the pine smelling leaves. A large star was at the top of the tree. I sparkled in the small light it was given. The house tables had been moved aside. There were only two large tables. A long food table and the teachers' table. Smaller circle tables were scattered accross the room with chairs to each tacle. A large stage stood near the back of the room. The band Sisterly Witches and W2W were performing. Dumbledore had made a wise descision because the two bands were the best "slow song" bands in the world, literally.
The three couples sat together at a table and started to get some food. Tom was found sitting with Lavender and Seamus and Dean. Seamus and Dean had gone with the Patil twins. Neville was with them too. He was with Ginny, Ron's younger sister. After eating, Malfoy, Ron, and Harry stepped in front of their partners and asked at the same time: "Would you like to dance?" All three girls accepted greatfully.

 Malfoy held Cam in his arms as they danced slowly accross the floor. W2W was singing "Over the Mountains, Into the Snow". It was a very peaceful song. Cam rested her head on Malfoy's shoulder as they danced into the night. Malfoy put his arm around Cam's waist while she put her arms around his neck. Their bodies were pulled closer together. That one dance seemed to last forever. Cam was hoping it would.

 Unfortunately, dances don't last forever. Cam and Malfoy danced the next few dances before sitting back down at their table. Suddenly, Pansy Parkinson came over. "Can I talk to you in private?" she asked glancing cruely at Cam.
"Okay," Malfoy said confused. "Can you excuse me Cam?"
"Sure."
They walked over to a corner.
"How could you?" Pansy said.
"How could I what?"
"You and that...that...Gryffindor!"
"Pansy, keep it down. Look, I know you're still upset about last year, but leave Cam out of this."
"You used to be so much better as a Slytherin," Pansy said moving closer to Malfoy. "We would always make fun of those Gryffindors, especially that Harry Potter. But now I see you and Harry talking like old friends. You and Cam dancing for over an hour. Forget her. She doesn't deserve you." She put her arms around Malfoy and pulled his body towards hers. "Give us another chance. I'll make it worth your while..."
"Get off me!" Malfoy answered pushing Pansy off. "I love Cam. Not you. It was over last year. It's not coming back together." Pansy looked at Malfoy evilly. Suddenly, she walked up to him and slapped his face as hard as she could. Malfoy stumbled backward. Cam was watching the whole thing. She ran over to Malfoy and kneeled down next to him.
"Are you alright?" she asked with a tone of concern in her voice.
"Yeah." Malfoy got up, rubbing his cheek. It had turned red. Cam put her hand on his cheek as if she had healing powers. She didn't, but Malfoy felt better anyway.
"I can't believe she did that."
"I'm used to it."
"Is that how she always treated you?"
"Only when I would disagree with her. Forget her. I'm alright." But Cam couldn't forget what Pansy did to Malfoy. She left Malfoy where he was standing and walked over to where Pansy was.

That's all for now.  Hope I'm leaving you in suspense.  LoL  I'll try to post more tomorrow.  'Till then, bye bye bye!

 "What do you want, you stupid Gryffindor?" she spat. The Slytherins around her laughed.
"I want you to lay off Malfoy," Cam said cooly.
"What? He asked you to come here and defend him?" Pansy put up a high voice that was supposed to represent Cam's, "'Oh, Draco! I'll protect you! Mommy, Daddy! Come help me! Get away from him you stupid Slytherin'," she said slapping the air. Cam couldn't hold herself in. She rolled her hand into a fist and punched Pansy in the face. Pansy fell down. Her nose was bleeding. She screamed.
"There's more where that came from," Cam said threateningly. "Never talk about me or my family ever agian! You'll regret it." Malfoy was running over with Harry, Ron, Sam, and Hermione. They stared at Pansy with wide eyes.
"WOW...Way to go, Cam!" Ron congratulated.
"That's not a good thing," Hermione said.
"Let's go," Cam said. They left the scene

 "That was BLOODY BRILLIANT!" Ron congratulated again as they walked away, "Literally!"
"Well," Cam said, "no one messes with Malfoy or insults me or my family. They mess with Malfoy, they mess with me!"
"Where'd you learn how to do that?" Harry asked in amazement. None of Cam's friends had ever seen her blow like that.
"My dad taught me when I was little. My mum says I get my short temper from him." Cam wiped away a tear that welled in her eye. "Excuse me," she said as she ran out of the Great Hall.
She ran to the lake. While sitting on the shore, she listened to the song of the crickets in the cold night air. Her face was smeared with tears. "What did you do to get his dad so pissed?" Cam asked looking at the sky. "You must've done something bad because you were sentenced to Azkaban. I need a dad. Kevin can't do anything right." Cam sobbed into her hands.
"Cam?" It was Malfoy

 "I thought you were actually going to fall for her," Cam said through her sobs. She didn't look at him.
"Of course not."
"I have to admit, I was pretty scared when she put her arms around you and you two got closer."
Malfoy kneeled behind Cam and put his arms around her. "Like this?" he whispered into her ear. Cam looked up into his eyes. They shone in the moonlight. Cam smiled. "I love you," he said. "Not Pansy." They got up and leaned against a nearby tree. Cam leaned against Malfoy.
"Oh, I love you so much, Malfoy."
"I love you too, baby," he answered.
"What if I get expelled for punching Pansy?"
"You won't...I'll back you up. So will everyone else."
"Except the Slytherins."
"What are you calling me?"
"Besides you."
"Well, forget them."
"You're one too, remember? I could never forget you."
"I've changed. I don't feel much like a Slytherin anymore."
"I'm glad you changed; thanks."
The wind started to blow harder. Malfoy came closer in so that he could keep both Cam and himself warm. They fell asleep under the tree and didn't wake up until they heard a scream.

 They jerked awake. Cam turned around to see who had screamed. It was Val, the Slytherin girl from the library. She was running from the Forbidden Forest. Cam got up and started running towards Val.
Cam caught up with Val at a bench in the garden. Val was breathing hard. "What happened?" Cam asked Val as she arrived.
"I was walking with John," she said through her gasps. "You-Know-Who was in the Forbidden Forest...he has John!" With that, she fainted and fell in Cam's arms. Malfoy rushed over.
"Is she okay?" he asked.
"She passed out," Cam replied.
"We have to get her to Madam Pomfrey ASAP. She doesn't look too well."
"Can you carry her?"
"I think so." Malfoy lifted Val with ease. "Yeah," he said, "I can."
Cam led the way to the hospital wing, Malfoy following closely behind with Val. Cam explained to Madam Pomfrey what had happened. Her eyes were wide with horror when Cam finished her story. "I'll tell Professor Dumbledore," she said. "You two get back to the dance. Your friend will be alright."
"She better be," Cam muttered as they left the hospital wing.

Cam and Malfoy headed back to the Great Hall. People were still dancing, but Harry, Sam, Hermione, and Ron were still talking about Cam's "punch". As Cam approached her friends, Hermione ran up to her. She started babling ideas of how to get Cam out of trouble.
"Hermione!" Cam said. "Calm down! I'll be okay. I'm sure I won't get into too much trouble." She tried to smile, though the thought of getting expelled kept crossing her mind.
Hermione was about to object when Ron grabbed her arm and started to pull her towards the dance floor. "C'mon, Hermione. Let's dance some more." Hermione was too glad to accept. Cam gave a "thank you" look at Ron before he left.
Cam sat down in a chair. She was exhausted (even though she had a little 'nap' a little while before).
"Are you okay, Cam?" Malfoy suddenly asked. Harry, Sam, and he were looking at Cam with concern.
"Yeah," Cam answered, "just a little tired."
"Maybe we should go back now. It's almost one," Sam said.
"That's fine with me," Cam said, yawning.
"Oy, Ron! Hermione! We're going!" Harry hollered to the dancing couple. They came over and everyone headed out the large doors of the Great Hall. The most magical night in Cam's life had ended.

 Cam had gone back to wearing her necklace. She liked the way it looked.
Professor Dumbledore had postponed Quidditch until after the Christmas Dance since it needed months of preperation. A week after the dance, Harry posted the list of people who had made the team. A crowd of eager Gryffindors crowded around the bulletin board. Cam ,Ron, and Sam were among them. Harry had refused to tell them who made the team.
"We all made it!" Sam said excitedly to Cam and Ron. She had managed to squeeze through and crawl under the people in front of her seeing she was so small for her age. "Our first practice is..." Sam paused as she scanned the paper. "NEXT WEEK! We need to practice if we want to win the Qudditch Cup!" Sam exclaimed.
"I know," Ron said. "We should talk to Harry about it."
"He wouldn't change it if we did," Cam argued. "It wouldn't be logical. I mean, he already posted the date for everyone to see. If he changed the date, everyone's plans would be ruined. Our match isn't until the end of January anyway." Ron and Sam nodded their heads in agreement. Cam was right.
Time flies. Before long, a week had passed and it was time for their first Quidditch practice.
It was still dark outside when Cam, Ron, Harry, and Sam headed down the spiral staircase. They were followed closely by an overexcited fourth year - Colin Creevy. He had tried out for Chaser and had proven to be very good, coming from a muggle family.

The Quidditch Pitch was empty. "Everybody pick up a broom and start warming up before practice starts!" Harry called to his team.
"Who are the new Beaters?" Ron asked suddenly. "Fred and George aren't going to be here, I reckon." Ron's twin brothers Fred and George Weasley were Gryffindor's old Beaters. They had graduated the year before and were opening a joke shop in Hogsmeade in March.
"I told them myself," Harry answered. "You'll know who they are soon enough."
About a half hour later, Hermione, Tom, and Katie Bell walked onto the field. Ron flew down to meet them while Katie flew up and started to warm up. Ron flew straight for Hermione and gave her a hug.
"What are you two doing here?" he asked. "Are you going to watch?"
Hermione smiled. "We're your new Beaters," she said.
The rest of the team, besides Katie, flew down. They had heard the conversation from overhead.
"You?" Ron asked in disbelief.
Harry started to explain. "I did some scouting after our first tryout. I asked Hermione to come after remembering how she had hit Malfoy in third year. She hit him so hard that he fell to the ground. No offence, Cam!" he added quickly.
"None taken."
Harry continued, "I figured that she must have a really strong arm to have a hit that hard. Tom wanted to try out but was sick on the day of tryouts. I told him to come along too. So, that's about it. Let's get started! C'mon guys and girls! Get back on your brooms and into the air."
The team flew into the air as one. They were going to play a practice game. It would be Sam, Tom, Cam, and Katie versus Harry, Colin, Ron, and Hermione. Cam's team had two Chasers since Harry's team had a Keeper and a better Seeker, no offence to Sam.
Harry's team ended up winning because Harry had caught the Snitch first. The team headed back to Gryffindor Tower dirty and wet.

 Cam: hey i'm on book 4 of T*Witches. it is getting so good! i'm almost done. i will probably finish it monday because i don't read hp or other related witchcraft type books on sunday. i hate their uncle fredo though. he sounds really gross. well this story estemated out to 37 pages i re-checked every thing to get it all in order but i haven't printed it out yet because my printer doesn't have an ink cartrage and my parents' wont buy one because my 'dad' thinks we need to buy it ourselves... o well... *big sigh* well great story cam!

Breakfast was being served in the Great Hall so the team showered and went downstairs as quickly as they could. Practice had made them all hungry, especially the boys. They stuffed their faces with Frosted Flakes cereal and oatmeal. Afterward, they went back to Gryffindor Tower again to get their materials for class.
Classes seemed extra boring today since the excitement of the Christmas Ball had died down. In Defense Against the Dark Arts, Cam's thoughts drifted to Val and what had happened at the Christmas Ball. She hadn't seen her lately. Supposedly, she was still recovering in the Hospital Wing. Cam had signed up to visit her during lunch.
"Mith Coy! Pleath pay attention to the lethon! Grindylowth will be on your quarterly exthamth, I can assure you!"
"Mr. Granhite," Hermione said, raising her hand, "I already told you...we studied Grindylows in our third year with Professor Lupin. It is required to learn about Grindylows at the age of thirteen, so I'm sure Camryn has already learned about them."
"Be quiet Mith Granger! I wathn't thpeaking with you. I wath addrething Mith Coy. I would think a girl ath thmart ath you would know that. Ten pointh from Gryffindor! Five for each of you. Mith Coy for 'daydreaming' in clath and Mith Granger for being Mith Thmarty-Panth." Cam and Hermione paid close attention after that while shooting evil glances at Professor Granhite.
Lunch came and Cam headed to the Hospital Wing after eating (fishsticks and fried shrimp). Val was lying on a bed when she came in.

"Hey, Cam!" she said enthusiasticly.
"Hey, Val." Cam pulled up a chair and sat next to the bed. She came closer and whispered to Val, "Did you tell anyone about what happened?"
Val shook her head 'no'. "John came back after the ball was over. He was pretty beat up. No one seemed to notice though. I guess it's because he gets into fights so much. He didn't seem to remember what happened. He came to visit me and asked me what happened. I was all, like, I guess he doesn't remember what happened. So I let the subject drop." She looked sadly up at Cam. "Please help me. I don't know what's going on."
"What happened, according to you?" Cam asked. She was feeling very much like a reporter.
"Well, John and I left the ball to take a walk. It was getting crowded and stuffy. The night was chilly. We walked around for a while, when we saw a dark figure emerging from some bushes. It was headed for the Forbidden Forest. John wanted to follow it, so I went with him. The figure led us to a clearing. We stood in the clearing for couple of minutes, looking for the dark figure. Suddenly, it jumped from the top of a tree and wrestled John to the ground. It knocked him out with a curse. I can't remember what it was, but I knew at the time that it was a very strong curse. It could only be done properly by a powerful dark wizard. That's when I knew...I had seen He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named..." Val paused, let out a deep breath and continued. "He looked at me. I saw his face. It was horrible. He looked like a very ugly, burnt baby with skin like dried up prunes or something." She shivered. "I ran away before he could get me. That's when I bumped into you. Can you help me?"
"I'll try," Cam said. "I have to be getting to class now, okay? I'll see you later. I heard Madam Pomfrey's gonna let you out today." Cam left the Hospital Wing with only one thing on her mind: Has He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named come back to power?

sorry...that's all i can post for now.  i'm going on vacation for 2 weeks and i won't be able to post n e thing soon.  i'll make it up to all of u when i get back.  :'( till then....bye.  hope u liked the last 2 posts....sorry again.  :'(

Care of Magical Creatures was surely going to take the whole Voldemort thing off of Cam's mind. Or that's what she thought. They were told to go into groups of four. Hagrid handed each of the groups a large box. Cam's group consisted of herself, Malfoy, Tom, and Lavender Brown.
"Now don' scare 'em. They can be very dangerous. These creatures are called Barrates. Don' be startled by there appearences. They can get pretty feisty. Ya all can open yer boxes now. But do it slowly. They may bite."
Tom opened the box. Inside was a snake-like creature. It had black, wrinkled skin and green stripes down its long body. Lavender covered her mouth to stifle a small scream. Suddenly, the Barrate started to talk to them.
"What isss a Sslytherin doing with thessse Gryffindorsss?" it asked Malfoy.
"Ummm..." Malfoy started, "These are my friends."
"That isss not right!" the Barrate suddenly yelled. "A Sslytherin and a Gryffindor musst never be allowed to come together! Did you not hear about the cursse of the Bassilissk? It sayss that if a Gryffindor and Sslytherin come together..."
"Their loved ones shall be destroyed...yes, we know," Cam finished the Barrate's sentence. The Barrate just coiled into a ball and stayed that way for the rest of class.
"That was the weirdest Care of Magical Creatures lesson I have ever had," Cam said as she and Malfoy headed for the dungeons for Potions class.
"I surprised that it could talk. I thought you had to be a Parseltongue to be able to understand snakes."
"Well, it wasn't exactly a snake. It was a half-breed. A Barrate is born when a fish lays a chicken egg. Sounds weird," she said, seeing Malfoys mouth drop, "but it's true. They're very rare. I'm surprised that Hagrid was able to get so many!"
After all their lessons, which they received about four pages of homework each, Cam and Tom went to the library to do their homework. It took them over three hours, but they managed to complete everything. It was already dark outside when they finished. They headed up to Gryffindor Tower but were attracted by a soft laughter coming from around a corner. They decided to investigate.

As they turned the corner, Cam almost passed out from shock. What she saw, she could not believe. Malfoy was standing with Pansy. But standing was not all they were doing. They were kissing. Cam covered her mouth to cover her scream. Tom was staring wide eyed at the two Slytherins.
Pansy saw Cam and gave her a satisfied smirk. She walked away smiling. Cam walked up to Malfoy.
"W-What did that mean?" she stuttered looking after Pansy.
"What do you think it means?" Malfoy spat. His eyes were not shining as they usually did. They were dark and looked empty. Cam pushed him aside and ran down the hallway and up the staircase, covering her face and wiping tears from her face. She stopped only when she arrived at the Fat Lady's picture. She fell to the ground and started sobbing even louder than before.
"Cam? Are you okay?" The voice belonged to Tom. He placed his arms around Cam.
"Do I look okay?" Cam nearly shouted. Tom was silent. "Sorry," Cam apologized. "It's just that..." She broke down and started to cry again. Tom patted her back. Obviously, he had no words of advice or comfort. Cam started to speak again. "I'm really sorry, Tom. I should've listened to you. I should've known he wouldn't change," she sniffed. Suddenly, she kicked her books that were on the ground toward the Fat Lady.
"Fiddletoe," Tom said. The password had been changed on Christmas. He picked up Cam's books and guided Cam into the common room. He placed her books on a table and sat down with her on the couch. The fire was glowing a bright orange, red, and yellow. Cam put her head on Tom's shoulder while crossing her arms. Tom placed his arms around her into a hug.

Kinda stupid....sorry!  There's really nothing I hate more than this story!  LoL   ::)  Hope u all out there like it though.   ;D

"I'm sorry," Cam said again.
"It's okay," Tom replied. He looked into Cam's eyes, which were already very teary. He leaned in and kissed her. He looked at her again. She was still beautiful, even though her face was smeared with tears.
"Was that supposed to mean something?" Cam asked after they broke away.
"Well, I'm hoping it means that you'll be my girlfriend." Cam nodded, happy knowing that Tom would not do anything to break her heart.
The clock struck ten. It was getting late. Cam kissed Tom on the cheek and said, "Good night, Tom. I'll see you in the morning." She walked up to the girls' dormitories. As she lied on her four poster, she saw that Hermione was already sleeping and that Sam was also in her bed.
"So...what happened?" Sam said from the shadows. Cam jumped at the sudden noise.
"What do you mean?" she replied.
"You know what I mean. What's up with the whole 'You and Tom' thing?"
"Huh?" Cam was thoroughly confused.
"Don't lie to me, Cam. You and Tom got a little too close down there," Sam said nodding toward the door.
"How did you-"
"I have a confession to make....I'm a seer." The room was silent.
"You? A seer? One of those 'Tell the Future People'? Okay, that is just not right! Why didn't you tell me?"
"I can keep it a secret if I want to."
"Does Hermione know?"
"Oh, she found out a long time ago!"
"So...you know about everything that happened?"
"Yup....From the 'Malfoy and Pansy' incident to the 'Cam and Tom in the common room' incident." She laughed but stopped when she saw Cam's face. "Well, it's getting late. I'll see you tomorrow. 'Night, Cam."
"Good night, Sam."

Ok...I KNOW that was stupid and cheesy and whatever, and I'd change it if I could, but I can't....Sorry if you hate it or whatever.  LoL  I'll try to post more soon...

The next morning, everyone went down for breakfast. While sitting at the Gryffindor House Table, Cam felt someone grab her around her waist. "Good morning, baby." Cam turned around and was surprised to see Malfoy. He was suddenly pushed away.
Tom had pushed Malfoy aside. "Hey. Get away from my girl," he said defensively.
"Your girl?" Malfoy asked eyeing Tom. Cam looked at Malfoy then turned away. "Cam," Malfoy said looking worried, "what happened? What's going on?"
"Like you don't know," Cam snapped, sounding annoyed.
"I don't understand....What did I do?"
"Just shut up!" Cam screamed. "After what you did with Pansy last night...after what you said to me...how can you deny knowing anything?" She ran out of the Great Hall crying, leaving a very confused Malfoy behind

Classes seemed to drag by slowly for Cam. She wasn't having as much fun as she usually did. For most of the time, she thought about Malfoy and kept wondering how he could have not known about the "incident" the previous night. He was there, in front of her. He was caught cheating and admitted it. He didn't even care....This was not the usual behavior of the Malfoy Cam knew. But, supposedly, he had changed back into the backstabbing, non-loving Slytherin he was.

Again...stupid, but I'm sorry.... ::)

After classes one day, Cam went to the library with Tom and Hermione to do homework. Ron was dragged along by Hermione and her lectures about "Having to Study More" or "Having to Be More Serious on Your Grades". It was Friday. Snape had given all of the Gryffindors a two-parchment essay on the dangers of a Love Potion, which were illegal at Hogwarts, after catching Parvati Patil and Seamus Finnigan passing love notes.
It started to get dark. Cam wanted to stay in the library to get certain things off of her mind. She was still suffering from a major heartache, even though she already had a new boyfriend. Hermione, Ron, and Tom decided to head back to Gryffindor Tower without her. After another hour, Madam Pince, the librarian, was yelling at all the left-over students to go back to their common rooms.
As Cam headed out the large library doors, she began to cry softly to herself.  What did I do to make him cheat on me, she thought to herself. Suddenly, a voice came from behind her. "Cam! Wait up!" It was Malfoy.
"What do you want?" Cam asked quickly without turning around. She kept walking.
"I want to know what I did wrong."
"I told you not to ask that question," Cam said roughly. "You should know what you did."
"Look," Malfoy said, turning Cam around to face him, "this may sound weird, but I have no idea what's going on. Will you just tell me?"
Cam couldn't help it. This Malfoy didn't look like the one she had seen the other night. She seemed to trust this one. "I-I was walking with Tom to the common room the other night. We saw you and Pansy kissing in the hallway."
"That's why she's been all 'lovey' with me lately....Trust me, Cam. That wasn't me. I don't know who that was. I was in the Slytherin common room all night that night. I would never do that to you."

He tried to kiss her. Cam sensed this and slapped him while backing away. She still didn't trust him thoroughly. "Just leave me alone," she said as she hurried away without another word.
She ran straight to the girls' dorms. She jumped onto her bed and started to scream into her pillow.
"Hey! Some people are trying to sleep here!" Sam yelled as she walked over to Cam's bed. Hermione, Parvati, and Lavender followed Sam. They all sat on the edge Cam's bed.
"What happened?" Hermione asked. Cam started to tell them about her conversation with Malfoy and how she had slapped him. Each girl listened with great interest and concern. Suddenly, Cam broke down and started to cry.
"Why did I have to slap him? Why couldn't I just have mouthed him away?" There was silence in the room as Cam thought this over. Once she noticed that her friends were still looking at her, she said, "You guys can leave now if you want." They all left except for Sam, who sat looking at Cam with an eye of knowing.
"It wasn't him and you know it," Sam said calmly. Cam looked at her, confused at what she had said. "Go and apologize to him in the morning." It was more of an order than a statement. "I know he didn't do it, Cam. He was in the Slytherin common room that whole night. And even if I wasn't a seer, I still wouldn't think he would have done that. He loves you too much to ruin your relationship like that."
Cam was silent. "But I saw-"
"He wouldn't do it, Cam. He didn't do it," Sam said cutting her off. "Trust me. Say sorry to him tomorrow. You two need to work this out."
"But how can he forgive me? After what I did to him...." More silence. Then Cam spoke again. "I have to meet Tom in the common room. I'll talk to you later, okay?" Sam nodded. Cam left and went down the stairs to meet Tom.

LoL  Ok Becca_Me...Ok  LoL  Sorry, but I already finished writing this story.  LoL  i'm just posting it up, so unfortunately, I can't change anything.  Sorry!  I'll be posting more soon, for those who are reading.

All the lights were off. The only light came from the fireplace. Tom was sitting on the couch, obviously waiting for Cam to show up. She sat down next to him.
"Hey," he said as he gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Glad you came."
"Hey," Cam answered.
"I have to tell you something very important," Tom said seriously.
"What is it?" Cam asked.
"First of all, I want to tell you that I love you. I know that love is a strong word, but I don't know how else to describe how I feel about you." Cam nodded and smiled. "Second....I want to break up."
"What?"

What?, Poor Cam!, Keep going!

Cam was a little surprised at this answer. She was silent for a moment. She finally found the voice to say, "Why?"
"It's pretty obvious, Cam; you still love him."
"Love who?"
"Don't play dumb. Malfoy. You still love him. I think that this relationship is just paining you more than you need to be pained."
"What are you talking about?"
"Well, I can't exactly go on with this relationship knowing that my love isn't being returned. Go back to Malfoy, Cam. You'd be much happier. Trust me."
Many thoughts flooded Cams mind at once. Why did he want her to go back with Malfoy? Didn't he see what he had done? Why was everyone telling her to trust them? Tom seemd to have read her mind. "I don't think that was Malfoy the other night with Pansy."
"Then who was it?" Cam shot. "Last time I checked, Malfoy didn't have an identical twin!"
"C'mon, Cam. Think about it. I know that you've read somewhere about this type of situation." Cam thought for a while.
"A SHAPESHIFTER! The Malfoy we saw must have been a shapeshifter! It all goes together! The dark eyes...the unlikely attitude....Someone's trying to break us up. Someone that's a shapeshifter! I remember reading about shapeshifters in What a Muggle Burglar Wants." Cam was very excited. She looked at Tom. He looked happy and sad at the same time. He noticed Cam staring at him and suddenly made his smile wider.
"I knew it was somewhere in that little brain of yours. Apologize to him tomorrow, okay, Cam? I'm sure he'll forgive you."
"But-" Cam started to explain about the slap she had given to Malfoy and the talk they had.
"If he really loves you, he'll accept your apology. Which is why I'm pretty sure he'll forgive you. He loves you so much, Cam. Probably even more than me."
"Okay..." Cam finally managed to say. "I'm sorry it didn't work out."
"It's okay. You're my friend. I'll always care about you."
"Same here."
"It's getting late. You should be getting to bed." Cam gave Tom one last kiss on the cheek and headed upstairs. She went to sleep, thinking about what she was about to do tomorrow.

The morning was cold and it was hard for Cam to wake up. She finally got up and went down to breakfast with everyone else. She was still thinking about what she was about to do. Everyone kept on supporting her; telling her she'd do fine; telling her that he'd surely forgive her. But Cam wastn't as certain as everyone else. She still thought that Malfoy would never forgive her after what she had done to him.

As food appeared on the empty plates in front of everyone, Cam stood up and headed for the Slytherin table. Hermione grabbed the sleeve of her robe.
"You'll be fine," she said confidently. Cam smiled and walked toward the Slytherin table, her stomach feeling like butterflies.
"Umm...Malfoy?" He turned around and faced Cam. What now? she thought. "Can I talk to you for a sec?"
Pansy looked enraged. "How can you even have the nerve to come here and ask to talk?" she practically shouted. Cam recoiled a bit.
"It's okay Pansy." Malfoy stood up and walked with Cam to a small corner of the room. "So...what do you want?" he said roughly.
Cam paused, thinking wheather to speak or not. "I'm so sorry," she finally managed to say as tears started to roll silently down her face. "I should've known that you would never do that to me....I know now-"
"Well you should have known then." There was anger and hurt in his voice. He shook a little as he tried to hold back tears. "Do you know how many nights I've spent crying over you? Yes, boys cry too. The only thing was, I didn't know what I was crying for. That's what got to me. If I knew that I had hurt you in some way, then I probably would have just come up to you and say 'sorry'. But I had no idea what had happened. It's, like, all of a sudden, for no reason, you're mad at me. How would you feel if all of a sudden, the the person you love the most, the person you can't live without, was mad at you and you didn't know why?" He stopped to catch his breath.
"I'm sorry," Cam whispered again, shaking her head. I knew he wouldn't forgive me, she thought to herself as she walked away.

Sorry I wasn't here for a while.  School just started and I haven't had much time to visit.  LoL  Hope you liked the last posts.  If you did, say something and I'll post more. ;)

Suddenly, a hand grabbed her shoulder and turned her around. Malfoy's eyes looked into hers. He saw the tears in her eyes; on her face.
"I could never stay mad at you," he said, a smile making its way onto his face.
Cam smiled back. "Thank you," she said.
"No," he replied. "Thank you." He gave her a hug. "I'll see you in Care of Magical Creatures," he said as he walked away.
"Yes!" Cam said as she jumped in the air. She ran back to Gryffindor Table, happy as ever.
A month passed and all went by normally. School was almost over. Gryffindor had won the Qudditch House Cup (thanks to Harry) and Cam and Malfoy had no more "conflicts" until a month before the finals....

The Gryffindors were sitting at their house table when Sunkist swooped down and dropped a note on Cam's plate. Cam picked up the note and read it outloud:

~Honey-Bear,

I just found out some more information about this "Malfoy" fellow you've been hanging out with. Why didn't you tell me he was in Slytherin? Didn't you know that his father was the one who sentenced yours to Azkaban? How many times have I told you about that family? They are nothing but criminals. I am very disappointed in you. Be in your common room at 10 o'clock tonight. I want to talk to you in person.

"Oh, my gosh," Cam said after she had finished reading the letter. She slumped back into her chair, her eyes fixed on the wall. Everyone was staring at her. They were as shocked as she was. "This is a disaster! Now she'll probably make me switch schools!" It was a Saturday, so they all went to Gryffindor Tower to try and work out the problem.
   "I'm sure nothing bad's going to happen," Hermione tried to reassure Cam. They were sitting in the common room with everyone else. "It would just be stupid if she made you change schools. She'd be wasting her money trying to get you back into Beuxbatons or any school for that matter."
   "So you're calling my mum stupid?" Cam snapped. She was in a really bad mood if you haven't noticed.
   "No. That's not what I said," Hermione argued, her voice sounding a bit more annoyed. "What I said was that it was stupid. 'It' meaning the idea of sending you to a different school was stupid because she would be wasting her money."
   "Sorry," Cam said. "I'm just a little stressed out." Suddenly, the portrait door opened and in walked Malfoy.
   "How'd you get here? Where'd you get the password?" everyone but Cam said at once.
   "Just chill you guys," Cam said walking over to Malfoy and giving him a kiss.
   "So what's going on?" Malfoy asked, sitting down on a chair.
   "You're going to get in trouble for being here," Harry said as nicely as he could.
   "Don't worry. I put a banishing charm on the portrait door. No one can come in until I leave."
   "That was smart," Sam muttered. "That won't draw any attention at all!"
   "Stop fighting!" Cam said, stressed out now. Cam explained the letter and everything else to Malfoy.
   "Aw, man! Why is it always me who gets everyone in trouble? I didn't do anything to you."
   "I know you didn't. I'll be talking to my mum tonight at ten. Hopefully, I can sort things out."
   "You want any of us here with you?" Harry asked.
   "No. It's better if I talk to her alone. I can do this." They continued to talk until about 9:50. At that time, everyone began to leave.
   "Wait," Sam said suddenly. Everyone looked at her. "How is Malfoy going to get out?"
   "What do you mean?" Malfoy said. "I'll just walk out the door and go back to the dungeons."
   "There's a line of Gryffindors waiting outside the portrait door," Sam said. "I saw them."
   "I've got an idea," Harry said as he ran up the stairs to the boys' dorms.  He came back down with the invisibility cloak in his arms.  He motioned for Malfoy to come with him.
   "That's why I love you," Sam said as she followed them.  She opened the portrait door and went outside while a herd of Gryffindors swarmed in.  
   They all went straight to their dorms for they were very tired.  I mean, who wouldn't be if they'd been standing outside a portrait door for over five hours?  They were followed closely behind by each of Cam's friends.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while.  School's been really hectic.  Hope ur all not mad.  I posted two new posts.  Hope u like them.  Comment if you want more.  'Till next time!

cool story cam! love it! keep goin.....get this, today is like, the third week of school, and we have TONS of homework already!  :P

Cam sat on the couch.  The clock struck ten.  The flames of the fire turned into a bright orange and yellow, and a head appeared in the flames.  The head of Angela Coy.
   "I'm very disappointed in you," the head said.
   "Why?" Cam asked innocently.  "Did I do something wrong?"
   "You know what you did....You lied to me, Cam!"
   "I did not!  I just didn't tell you something.  That's not  a lie.  I would have lied if I said something that was untrue, which I didn't.  You don't have to know my whole life!"
   "Camryn Angela Haley Coy!  Don't you dare talk to me that way!  I'm your mother!  I should know.  How many times have I told you about the Malfoys?  They are not to be trusted.  Next thing you know, this 'Lucius' will be coming after you with his wand!"

Why is she being so overprotective, Cam thought to herself.  Why can't she see that I'm okay?  It's Lucius who's bad; not Draco....
   "I don't want you talking to him again.  Do you understand me?"
   Cam snapped back into reality after she heard this.  "What's the problem?" Cam yelled into the fire.  It was a wonder why the whole school hadn't woken up.
   "His father killed yours!  That's the problem!"
   "That doesn't mean that Draco will do the same to me!  Stop trying to control my life!  I hate you!  I hate you!"
   Cam ran up to her dorm.  She jumped onto her bed and started sobbing into her pillow, mumbling, "I hate her....I hate her...."
   "Cam?  Are you okay?" Hermione asked.  Cam didn't respond.
   "Just give her some time, Herm," Sam's voice suddenly said.  "She needs to be alone for a while."  Cam cried herself to sleep that night.  And time was just what she needed.

sorry i haven't posted in forever.  i've been really busy with school and all.  hope you can all forgive me.  say something if you want more.

The following week, the subject of Cam's mother was avoided at all conversations to keep Cam from getting pissed off.
   One day, Cam received an owl from her mother at the breakfast table.
   "I don't even want to look at her writing," Cam said.  She was obviously still upset.
   Sam ran out of the Great Hall, sensing what was to come.  Hermione gingerly opened the letter and read it out loud for the group to hear.

~Cam
   I have reenrolled you in Beuxbatons for your next year.  Madam Maxime has graciously accepted you back.  I will pick you up from the Platform in June.
~Mom

   "What?" Cam said in disbelief.  "She transferred me back?"  She took the note.  "No....I'm not going...and she can't make me."  On the letter she scribbled a reply.

I'm not going back.  You can't make me!  I hate you!

She sent it off with Sunkist.
   "That wasn't very nice, Cam," Ron said after he read the reply and watched Sunkist fly away.  "You're gonna regret what you said.  And, no offense, but she can make you change schools."
   "Shut up, Ron," Hermione said.  She threw a worried glance at Cam.  Luckily, she had kept her cool.  Hermione hated it when Cam lost her temper.  Cam was her friend and it scared her whenever she "blew up."
   "I don't care, Ron....I hate being so overprotected!"
   "She's just really protective of you," Harry tried to reassure her while looking back down the hall for Sam.
   "She's a bit too protective if you ask me.  I mean, I know what I'm doing.  I'm not gonna go and get myself blown up by Lucius Malfoy!"
   "Hey!  My parents were blown up too you know...."  Harry tried to picture his parents being blown up by Voldemort but decided better of it.
   The days passed by slowly.  Cam hadn't spoken to her mother since and her mother sent no reply.  About a week passed and Cam and her friends tried to make the most of it.  Final exams were the following week.  Then they would be out of school.
   One day, Cam asked to borrow Hermione's latest issue of the Daily Prophet.  It was breakfast time and Cam had nothing to do while she ate.  The major headline of the day was one that caught everyone's eye.

Back to Power?
Sources have confirmed that the Dark Lord has in fact come back to power.  There have been various reports of murders in the muggle world, the Dark Mark hovering over the location of the crime.  On each victims' body, the same message was shown:  The Dark Lord has come to power.  His new reign of terror has now begun.
The Ministry of Magic has refused to believe these warnings or signs.  Minister of Magic, Cornelius Fudge, has repeatedly said to the press that these terrorist attacks are nothing to be afraid of.  All we can do is wait to see and hope that the Dark Lord has not returned.

omg!  u won't believe wat happened.  after my last post, i went to see if my CD where i saved my fan ficcy was in my backpack, and it wasn't there!  i think it may be at home (i'm at tutoring rite now) so i'll try to post more tomorrow.  if i don't find it, i'll have to keep looking, so sorry!  no promises.  hope u ppl (the 2 of u lol) aren't mad.  i'll try to post more ASAP.

"The Dark Lord...back to power?  The muggle world?"  Cam said aloud.  "What would the Dark Lord want to kill muggles for?"
   "Well," Hermione said, "he's not a big fan of muggles, you know.  And there were probably some muggle-loving wizards and witches there."
   "Oh," Cam said.
   "Wait a minute," Ron said.  "Don't you live in the muggle world with your mother?"
   "Don't talk about...." Cam paused.  "Yes.  I'm sure she's alright though."
   "Why do you live in the muggle world anyway?" Harry asked.
   "Well, my dad's parents were muggles.  He liked the muggle world.  He liked to stay and be with his friends and all.  That's why we've always lived in the muggle world, even in America.  His love for the muggle world kind of grew on my mother, which is why we still lived in the muggle world after Dad died," she said this all very fast and was catching her breath in the end.  "He loved the muggle world so much that he joined the US millitary.  That's where I get my love for 'army items'.  He had an assignment in France one year, so we moved there and I was enrolled in Beuxbatons.  Then he died and my mum and I moved here."
   "Wow," Ron said, awed.  "That's a really interesting life."
   "Lots of moving.  I bet you got to see lots of sites!" Hermione added.

The week went by smoothly.  In no time, the last final exam (Charms) was coming up.  Everyone studied hard, even Ron.  The results would come in about two days.
   The day the exam results were to be given was one of pure...how should I put this...terror.  Everyone was very anxious to find out if they were to be allowed to move on to their next year.
   The owls flew in thorugh the windows.  "Here it goes," Ron said as he looked into the air for Pig to drop his grades into his lap.  Six letters were dropped where the six friends were staying.
   "Wanna open them outside?" Harry asked.  Everyone agreed.  "Okay then.  Cam, go get Malfoy and meet us out in the corridor."
   Cam hurried over to the Slytherin table as her friends went out the great doors of the Great Hall.  "Malfoy!" she called, waving her arms in the air.  He waved back and hurried over to where Cam was standing.  Pansy shot a disgusted look at Cam and continued eating.
   "Are you done eating?" Cam asked.
   "Yeah...you?"
   "Uh, huh.  Did you open up your grades yet?"
   "No.  Not yet."
   "Wanna come outside with us?  We're gonna open them up together."
   "Sure."  They hurried outside to where their friends were standing.

Everyone stood in a circle.  Harry chanted a little 'good luck' chant.  "Do not let this mem'ry fade; help us all get a good grade."  When he had finished, everyone opened up their envelopes and look at their final grades.  After about a minute, everyone sighed a sigh of relief.
   "Ok," Harry said.  "Let's all say our grades one at a time.  Ron, you go first."
   "Umm..." Ron said.  "An 'A-' in Charms.  A 'B+' in Transfiguration.  A 'C' in Potions.  And...a 'B' in everything else.  Go ahead, Herm."
   "'A' s in all.  Cam?"
   "Same here," Cam replied.
   "Geez!" Ron exclaimed.  "Are you two geniuses or what?"
   "Malfoy?" Cam passed on.
   "Hmmm...An 'A' in Potions," ("Of course," Ron muttered.) "A 'C+' in Transfiguration.  A 'B' in Charms.  A 'C' in Care of Magical Creatures...I don't think Hagrid likes me too much....And 'B+'s on everything else.  Harry?"
   As Sam, Harry, and Tom read out their grades, everyone was happy because everyone would be going into their 6th year.

I haven't read the whole story, don't have time for twenty tow pages. Wow! Im at the part where she's in diagon alley buying her owl, two galleons is pretty cheap. I'd expect it to be something like ten or twety galleons for a mail delivering animal. Well anyway, I love the story and am posting some of my own.

So sorry that i haven't been here....imma post more in a sec, ok?  imma post a lot in fact....

Since all the final exams were over, the students of Hogwarts had nothing to look forward to in class.  There were only three days of class left, and every class seemed to be a party - even Potions.  While Snape's students "partied around," he stayed in the back of the room, mixing different potions together.

The second day after the final exam scores had arrived, Cam received a letter.  This seemed highly unusual since the only letter she was expecting (the exam grades) had already arrived.  She wasn't speaking to her mother, so it couldn't have been from her.  And there were no upcoming events at school, so Malfoy couldn't have sent it.
   "Just open it, Cam," Ron urged.  He seemed to want to know who it was from.
   Cam opened the letter timidly.  She pulled the paper out of the envelope and read the note quietly to herself.  When she finished, she let out, "Holy - "  The word she said after that made the table look her way and Hermione say, "Cam!"
   Cam was shaking her head in disbelief.  "This can't be happening....This can't be happening...." she kept mumbling.  She was breathing hard.  Malfoy had heard "Cam's word" and came over to the Gryffindor table.
   Cam had zoned out and wouldn't talk to anyone, so Malfoy asked the others what was going on.  "She just received a letter from...someone," said Harry.  "It had a big impact on her...as you probably heard."
   Malfoy walked up to Cam and held the letter with his hand.  He asked if they could see it.  Cam let go of the letter while staring into space, her hands shaking violently.  
   Malfoy read the letter out loud:

Dear Cam,
I'm afraid I have some very bad news to break to you.  Please try to understand.  I know this won't be easy for you to hear, but your mother has been killed.  I'm afraid to say that this is the work of the Dark Lord.  She had written that she would like me to take full responsibility of you.  You will be coming to live with me during your summer.  As your mother wishes, you will be attending Beauxbatons Academy next year.  I will pick you up at King's Cross Station when you arrive.

"Holy - "  (Hermione said, "Malfoy!")  "This can't be happening."
   "Well it is," Cam finally managed to say.  She was so frustrated and melancholy that she wasn't crying...yet.  "Umm...I'll be right back, okay?"  She ran out of the Great Hall.
   She went through the two large doors and headed to the tree by the lake where she had gone during the Christmas Dance.  When she got there, Cam sat on the ground under the tree and tucked in her legs.  She hugged them with her arms.
   "Why?  Why?  Why do all these things seem to happen to me?"  She started to cry.  "Why do I cry so much?  What's the matter with me?  It's always a stupid reason I cry about."
   "Your insides are healing," came the voice of Draco Malfoy.
   "What?" Cam said, confused.
   "Your insides are healing," Malfoy repeated.  "When tears are on the outside the inside is healing.  Some people need, or want, to heal more than other people."  He sat down next to Cam.  They looked at the lake.  The clear, blue waters revealed the giant squid that swam beneath it.  "And your reasons for crying are not stupid....At least not to me."
   "This may be one of the last moments we have...together," Cam said.  "We've been through a lot and I just wanna say sorry."
   "For what?"
   "For anything and everything....For being in your life -"
   She was cut off.  Malfoy made her face him.  "I'll never be sorry that you were in my life.  You made it fuller.  You filled that empty space in my heart.  You made me realize all the things I've done, I shouldn't have.  You made that happen.  You made me a better person.  You made me the person I am today.  You're the key reason I breathe, I live."
   They held each other close and tight, never wanting to let go.  "I'm gonna miss you so much," Cam said.
   "Same here," was Malfoy's reply.  "I love you so much....I don't know what I'll do without you."
   "You think I do?"  There was silence for a moment.  Then Cam spoke again.  "I can't believe the last thing I said to her was that I hated her....I really didn't.  I was just angry at the time.  Ron was right...I would regret what I said.  And now...I do...."
   "I'm sure she knew you didn't mean it," Malfoy tried to reassure her.  "She loved you just as much as you loved her."
   "It's just...I'm not really looking forward to living with Kevin....I practically hate that guy."
   "Do it for your mom, Cam.  I'm sure since she thought it would be safe and good enough, it'll be fine.  Give him a chance."
   "That's true.  I haven't really given him a chance, huh?"
   "Nope....We better get back inside.  'Classes' will be starting soon."  
   During their classes, the group of friends spent as much time with Cam as possible.  They tried to make their classes last longer by doing things faster.  It seemed to work for a while.  But after doing it too many times, they began to notice it was wearing off.  Time flies no matter what when you're having fun.

Before long, it was the last day of school.  Everyone was planning their summer with their friends and trading addresses and phone numbers (if they had any).  Even Cam and her "groupie" were doing so.
   That morning, Cam had received another letter.  "It's probably from Kevin," she said more to herself.  She opened it up and read it out just as Malfoy arrived at their table.

Dear Cam,
I have some news for you.  I think you may like it.  Your mother had insisted beforehand that we stay in your house.  I will be moving in.  I'm hoping everything will work out between us and that we will be able to start our new lives with success.  I will pick you up tomorrow at King's Cross as planned.  Have fun on your last day of school.

"If he thinks everything is gonna be fine, he's insane!" Cam exclaimed.  Malfoy shot her a look.  "I know...I know.  Give him a chance."
   "That's my girl," Malfoy said, smiling.  Cam couldn't help but smile back.

not 2 be out of the subject but, please read my story!!!! no one has been reading it since 6 days! and oh, cam, it's friday in asia already!!!!!!! (you're from asia, right?)

Classes ended early.  The Hogwarts students were given the remainder of the day to pack up or throw parties in their common rooms (without the teachers knowing).  The end-of-the-year-feast would be held later that night.
   Cam packed up all her belongings in her trunk.  Hermione was with her, also packing.
   "I can't believe the school year's already over," Hermione said.  "Each year seems to pass by so fast...especially this one.  You've been a great friend, Cam."
   "You've been a better one," Cam answered, smiling.  They traded addresses.  "You live in the muggle world?"  Cam asked after reading Hermione's address.
   "Yeah....My parents are dentists.  Do you have a phone?"
   "Uh huh.  This is so great!  Maybe we can get together over the summer or something."
   "Yeah.  That would be nice.  It's a sure thing."  They traded phone numbers.  "We better get down to the feast now or we'll be late."

As Hermione and Cam entered the Great Hall, it was full of voices talking to each other.  Everyone was talking about which house was to win the House Cup.
   "Everyone's saying that it's a close between Gryffindor and Slytherin," Cam whispered to Hermione.
   "Well, there's only one way we'll find out who won," Hermione said as she sat next to Ron, who put his arm around her.
   Cam went over to Tom and sat between him and Sam.
   "You excited?" he asked.
   "About leaving the school?" Cam asked sarcastically.  "Let me see...umm...no!"
   Tom laughed.  "No.  About who'll win the House Cup."
   "Oh, that.  Of course!" Cam laughed back, smiling.

Dumbledore stood up from his seat.  He cleared his throat to get everyone's attention.  When all heads were turned in his direction, he began to talk.  "Well, another year has passed.  This one seemed to have passed a lot faster than the others.  I guess that's just life."  He chuckled.
   "You all know why we are here tonight.  We are here to announce the winner of the House Cup...and to eat of course.  Now, in fourth place with 457 points...Ravenclaw!"  There were some glum faces and quiet cheers from the Ravenclaw table.  "In third place with 502 points...Hufflepuff!"  The Hufflepuff table cheered loudly, for they had not gotten this high a placement in the House ranking for quite a while.  "Now, the second place house was hard to decide.  As some of you may know, it has been a very close race between Slytherin and Gryffindor.  Each house has worked very hard this year.  But the one who tried the hardest shall win the house cup.  In second place with 588 points...Gryffindor!"  The Gryffindors looked happy, but didn't cheer too loud.  "First place goes to Slytherin with 592 points!"  The Slytherin table cheered so loud it seemed as if the building's windows were about to burst with all the noise.  "Let the feast begin!"

After everyone had stuffed their faces with food, they headed back to their common rooms.
   "I can't believe we lost by FOUR POINTS!" Harry said as they were walking up the stairs.
   "I bet Snape gave them some extra points to let them win," Ron said, glumly.
   "C'mon, you guys.  Don't be bad sports.  They probably just deserved it more this year," Cam said, trying to cheer them up.
   "You're just saying that because Malfoy's in that house," Ron said.
   "So what?" Cam said with a small laugh.

   When they arrived at the common room, the party had already started.  It would be on until about  one or until a teacher came and told them to go to bed.  It was full of music and people dancing.  There was a long table with all sorts of delicious looking foods and sweets.
   "Hey, Cam," Tom said cheerfully.  "You guys finally got here.  Wanna dance?"
   "Sure," Cam said.
   After dancing to a few fast songs, Cam sat down to rest.  "It's getting stuffy in here," she said to herself.  "I think I'll go take a little walk."  Cam was able to leave the common room without anyone noticing.

okay...there's some posts for the one's who are reading.   ;D  i'm glad i actually have ppl reading.   ;)  lol  so, yeah.  i'll try and post more next week.  hopefully i can get on.  it's kinda hard for me to get online nowadays.  hope you guys post for more!

okay...its been so long, but imma post soon....plz read....

   She walked around the hallways for a while, looking for the exit.  Luckily, no teachers or staff (not even Filch or Mrs. Norris) were walking around at the time.  They were also having a party in the teachers' lounge.  Cam finally found the large doors leading outside and went out.
   She walked to an open field and took in a deep breath of Hogwarts air.  It felt wonderful...and sad, knowing that this was the last day she would be able to breathe it.  She felt so wonderfully wonderful that she started to run with her eyes closed and her arms out, taking and feeling as much air as she could.  Suddenly...BANG!  She ran straight into someone.

"Oh...I-I'm s-so sorry," Cam stuttered.  She looked at the person she had run into.  At first she thought she was dreaming.  It was....
   "Mom?"  Cam couldn't believe it.  "Oh my...oh my, gosh!  Is that really....Mom!"  She ran up to her and hugged her hard.  Her eyes were starting to well up with tears of joy and relief.  "How?  How....how are you here...how?"
   "Stop for a second, Honey-Bear," she said calmly.
   "You lied?  Or...what happened?  Kevin...he - "
   "Honey-Bear, let me explain," she tried again.  Cam finally calmed down and sat on the grass with her mother.
   "I didn't really die," she started.  "It was a cover up.  The Dark Lord had come to the muggle world in search of his past followers - and enemies.  Your father and I worked part-time in the Ministry as part-time Aurors.  I was one of the main people he was after.  Cornelius Fudge had agreed to help hide me and some of the other retired Aurors from him, even though he didn't believe that You-Know-Who was getting stronger.  The only person I told was Kevin.  I asked him to send you those letters.  I came to Hogwarts tonight to check up on you.  I wasn't planning on running into you....I'm sorry, Cam."
   Cam paused for a while, taking in her mother's story.  Then she said, "No, Mom.  I'm sorry.  I'm sorry for what I said to you.  I didn't mean it.  I was just really upset at the time.  I just wanted you to understand...about Malfoy."

"I'm sorry about that too," Angela Coy told her daughter.  "I should've gotten to know him better.  I just looked at his family's background and thought that he was like all the rest.  His father...I can never forgive him for what he did - because I know he did it on purpose."
   "What?  You mean that he actually put Dad in Azkaban even though he knew he was innocent?  Why?"
   "Well, the Malfoys aren't really big fans of muggles.  I shouldn't be telling you this, but...Lucius Malfoy is a Death Eater."
   "No way!"
   "Yes way.  He had caught one of your dad's muggle friends to take to You-Know-Who as some sort of 'sacrifice' or something.  Your father stopped him.  Lucius was punished by his Master and sought revenge on your father...and he got it."  Ms. Coy looked really strong when talking about her husband.  Something that most women cannot do if their husbands have died.

"I never knew that..." Cam said when her mother had finished.  Other than that, she was speechless.
   Ms. Coy broke the silence.  "So...I'm really sorry, Honey-Bear.  I want to be totally honest with you, but I need to ask you to do the same with me.  Is there anything you want to talk about or know?"
   "Well...actually there is.  I need to ask you to do me a favor."
   "What is it?"
   "I want you to talk to him."
   "Your father?  You know that's not possible."
   "No, no.  Malfoy.  I want you to get to know him."
   "Umm...Okay.  But how?  When?"
   "You're seriously gonna do it?"
   Ms. Coy sighed.  "Of course."
   "Okay, then.  Come with me."  Cam led her mother into the Hogwarts castle.  She went down some stairs and stopped at a door.  She knocked on it.  It opened and Pansy looked out.

"What do you want?"
   "I want to talk to Malfoy."
   "Well he doesn't want to talk to you.  So if I were you, I wouldn't bother," she snapped.
   "Who is it?" a voice said behind Pansy.
   "No one."  But that wouldn't stop the person.  He pushed  Pansy aside and stood in the door's entrance.
   "Hey, Cam!"  Of course, Malfoy hadn't believed Pansy for a second.  "Who's your friend?" he asked nodding towards Ms. Coy.
   "This...is my mom," Cam said proudly.
   Malfoy snorted.  "Sure, Cam.  Sure."
   "Come out, Malfoy," Cam said with a serious expression.  He obeyed.
   "You can't be serious," Malfoy said, eyeing Ms. Coy.
   "I am."
   "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Malfoy," Cam's mom said, reaching to shake his hand.
   He shook it, realizing that Ms. Coy was the real thing.  "It's a pleasure to meet you too, Ms. Coy.  I've been waiting for quite a while.  Cam's told me so much about you."
   "I hope they were all good things," she replied laughing.
   "Don't worry.  They were."

oh, btw, just to let you who are reading know, this story has been done for over two years now i think.  so, don't think i'm leaving you hanging when the story ends....that's really how it ends.  well, anyhow, back to the story....

After walking for a bit and talking about what's been going on, Cam brought up the subject of the shape-shifter.  Cam's mom stopped abruptly, causing Cam and Malfoy to look back at her.
   "What's wrong, mom?" Cam asked.  "Are you okay?"
   "I'm fine, but...oh, Honey-Bear, I'm so sorry!"
   "Huh?" Cam said confused as her mother hugged her tightly.
   "I didn't mean to cause you any harm."
   "What are you talking about, Ms. Coy?" Malfoy asked.
   "I was the one who sent the shape-shifter after you."
   "Who's the shape-shifter?" Cam asked, eager to find out who it was.
   "Kevin...."
   "Kevin?!" Cam and Malfoy said together.
   "Yes....I sent him out to break the friendship of you two.  I had a gut feeling that something bad would happen if you two continued being friends."
   "Okay....I guess I can see why you did it, but Kevin actually went along with it?"
   "Yes.  I'm so sorry, Honey-Bear.  But I do have some news that will cheer you up."
   "I never liked him...." Cam said to herself.  She clicked back to reality.  "Huh?"
   "I said I have some good news for you."
   "Oh.  What is it?" Cam asked.  Malfoy listened intently.
   "Well, I broke up with Kevin."  Cam beamed.  So did Malfoy.  "I caught him in a 'Starbuck's café' with some muggle girl.  I was so mad that I went up to him and...well, I don't want to say the rest."
   "So...it's really, it's really over?" Cam said smiling.
   "Yes.  It is.  And I'm so sorry it ever started."
   "Don't worry about it, Mum."  Cam gave her mother a hug and walked back up to the castle with her and Malfoy.  As they approached the Slytherin common room, Cam's mother gave her farewells.

"Bye, Honey-Bear.  I'll pick you up at the Platform tomorrow.  And good-bye to you, too, Mr. Malfoy."
   "Good-bye, Ms. Coy.  It was nice meeting you," he answered.
   "As you little people say, 'same back!'"  They all laughed.
   "As Ms. Coy was about to leave, Cam stopped her with another question.  "Umm...Mom?"  She turned around.  "Does this mean that I can finish up school in Hogwarts?"
   Ms. Coy gave Cam a stern look.  "Never mind," Cam said quickly.
   Ms. Coy smiled, "Of course, Honey-Bear.  I'll pick you up tomorrow.  Bye, kids"
   "Bye," Cam and Malfoy said at the same time.
   Once Ms. Coy had disapparated, Cam and Malfoy leaped for joy and started talking instantly on Cam's luck.  As they reached the door, Cam said good-bye.
   "'Night, Cam, sweet dreams," Malfoy said as he kissed her.
   "G' Night," Cam said in reply and headed for Gryffindor Tower.

The next morning, everyone was busily getting their last minute things done.  Last minute packing and exchanging of addresses and phone numbers (if they had any) was occurring.  The Great Hall was serving a small breakfast, such as bagels and small juice kegs.  At around 10 o'clock, everyone was rushing to the train.
   While Cam, Harry, Hermione, Ron, Sam, and Tom were on the train, Cam wondered where Malfoy had gotten to.  She hadn't seen him all morning.  As the boys played Exploding Snap, Hermione, Cam, and Sam went to the other side of the compartment to talk.
   "What's wrong, Cam?" Hermione asked with a concerned face.  She had noticed Cam's silence.  
   "She's worried about Malfoy," Sam said as if it was obvious.
   "I wasn't asking you, 'Ms. Seer'," Hermione said laughing.  Then she looked at Cam.  "I'm sure he's fine, Cam," she added.
   "It's not that," Cam said.  "I'll see him again next year.  It's just I can't help wondering, with the whole You-Know-Who thing going on, if he, or anyone, is safe."
   "Your so paranoid, Cam," Sam said.  "No offence or anything.  He's fine.  Even if his father is a Death Eater, he'll be-"
   "What?" Hermione said surprised.
   "Umm....You're right, Herm, there's nothing to worry about," Sam said changing her glance from Cam to Hermione in less than a second.
   "Lucius Malfoy is a Death Eater?  How do you know this, Sam?" Cam asked, trying her hardest to look serious.
   "Look, I'm sorry, Cam.  I was walking around the school, looking for my next class, when I bumped into Malfoy.  My brain thinks before I tell it to.  That's how I found out.  But...Cam you can't tell anyone okay?  You too, Hermione.  I mean, about Malfoy's dad.  You'd have a pretty hard time explaining it."

"Wow...a Death Eater," was all Hermione could say.
   "Don't worry.  I'm not that stupid."
   "Cam, you're not stupid at all," Sam said.  She coughed after that, which Hermione thought sounded a bit like 'Ms. Straight A's'.
   
   Sooner than they had expected, the Hogwarts Express arrived at King's Cross Station.  Everyone stampeded towards the exit doors, awaiting a great summer.  Cam and her friends stepped out as well.  They looked around for their parents (or rides).
   "Bye, everyone!" Ron and Tom said, waving as they walked towards Ron's mother.  Tom was "carpooling" with them because he didn't have a ride home.  As soon as Ron got to his mother, he ran back.  "Sorry, Herm," he said as he gave her a kiss on the cheek.
   "Bye, Ron.  Have a nice summer," Hermione said laughing.
   "You too."  He was gone.

Sam saw her parents and said good-bye to Cam and Hermione, with a big hug for Harry.  And she was gone as well.  Soon, Hermione said she had to leave also because her parents said they'd be picking her up on Platform 9.  So, she was gone.
   It was only Harry and Cam left at the platform.  "Where's Malfoy?" Harry asked.
   "I don't know.  I haven't seen him all morning."
   "Wait!  Is that him over there?" Harry said as he pointed to a figure in the distance.  Sure enough, it was Malfoy.  He was running towards them with something in his hands.

"Where've you been?" Cam asked.  The expression on her face showed worry and curiosity.
   "I was picking something up for you," Malfoy said simply.
   "I think I'll leave now.  I heard someone yelling from behind that wall and I think it might be Uncle Vernon," Harry said.
   "Bye, Harry!" Cam and Malfoy said at the same time.
   "Bye, guys!  Have a great summer."  With that, he went through the wall and onto Platform 9 on the other side.
   "So....What exactly was so important that you had to pick up instead of hanging with us?" Cam said to Malfoy as Harry left.
   "Were you that worried about me?" Malfoy asked, grinning.
   "What was it, Malfoy?" Cam asked eagerly.

"This," Malfoy said as he pulled out a bouquet of flowers and a little velvet box.
   "Oh my gosh!  Thank you," Cam said as she jumped on Malfoy and gave him a big hug.  She accidentally squashed the flowers in the process.  "Oops...sorry."
   "No problem," Malfoy said as he took out his wand and repaired the flowers.
   "What's in the box?" Cam asked letting go of Malfoy.
   "Open it."
   She did and inside was a ring.  "What's this for?" Cam said.
   "Well, it's not what you think it is.  I'm not talking about marriage."  He laughed.  So did she.  "It's just a little promise of mine to you."
   "And what is that promise?"
   "The promise of love.  I'll always be there for you.  It's just a little thing we call a 'we'll go for it in the future' ring."
   "Okay....I don't understand...."
   "Cam!"  It was Cam's mother.  She was there to pick her up.
   "Oh...I gotta go.  So...I still don't understand," she said as she walked to her mother.
   "You will, Cam...you will," Malfoy said as he turned around and walked away.  Just as Malfoy left, she understood.

and that is the end...or is it?  lol  sorry to say, but i haven't and probably won't make a sequal to this story.  thanks to everyone who read my story and made it a success.  even though i didn't get a lot of readers, the few that i had made it worth while for me to come back and finish posting.  thanks.  if you don't understand the ending or wanna be pen pals with me or whatever you can contact me at mellojelllo@hwbound.com.  i'd really like to hear from someone who shares the same interests as me and who actually liked my writing.  lol  well, i probably won't be coming back to this site anymore after this post...i don't have time.  i'm sorry.  like i said, though, you can still keep in touch with me by emailing me like i said above.  well, hope to talk to you all soon!
