I don't want to sound like a snob, seeing as how I'm a newbie and all, but...

I think that petiton is absolutely ridiculous. J.K. Rowling is from the UK, Harry is from the UK, and the world of Harry Potter should reflect J.K. Rowling's vision.  From what I know, Rowling didn't even want to have any HP movies. I totally agree with her. It's just another way to capitalize of HP. If people want to read a great story, they should read Harry Potter, not watch the movie. If the 2 movies out had used American actors, I'm definitely sure I wouldn't watch it.
Think about it, it's like someone taking your vision and then revising it to their advantage. It's morally wrong.  Harry's story still needs to be told the way Rowling has imagined it. I can't mind-read, but I'm sure she didn't want Harry to be Americanized. Stop trying to make everything American.
Thank you.
PS:Please don't take any of this personally, it's just that I'm European and I live in the States, and I constantly see the Americanizing of other countries, and it's just wrong. This just once again Americanizing. While I'm aware that other actors(such as people from Australia and New Zealand)would enjoy to play parts, they shouldn't be included either.
