Who is the true hero,Neville or Harry?.Its something that does need a lot of brooding .I mean think about for a moment .Harry lost his parents when he was really young ,Neville lost his parents in a way too.Harry has never seen his parents in his life before i mean face to face.Now take a look at Neville he sees his parents often  but his parents were so much tortured that they  went mad and donot even recognise him ,just feel how painful it is to not be recognised by one's own parents.Neville according to me deserves more sympathy than Harry.If u remember the first book how neville had tried to stop Hermione,Ron and Harry  from leaving at night,though he was stupified  yet he tried to put up a fight ,which showed in that ephemeral moment the courage in him till than i used to think of him as a coward.Harry has good friends like Hermione and Ron to help him and elevate him when he's very sad or dejected.Even professor Dumbledore, Hagrid ,lupin etc are on his side, isn't it.Not that they are against him but do they love Neville half as much as they love and support Harry.Neville can only comfort himself ,not that he's not friendly but because of the emotional crisis that he goes through he doesn't open up that easily. In the 5th book Neville had also shown exemplary courage when he tried to fight of the deatheaters.I think he's equally capable like Harry  though not much of a heroic figure  he too can make a very good Auror.Harry had a very bad childhood but please think of a childhood of a young boy with a cranky grandmother. Now i'll like to hear ur opinion about it

The position of a muggle is shown in a very horrifying way in the G.O.F.The way the death eaters are playing with the muggles during the World cup is very disturbing.It's not only the case with  the deatheaters or voldemort killing people afterall its not suprising he does that, he's a villain.But even the good wizards do look down upon the non-magical people.Its sort of sad to see people being fooled ,their memories being modified etc.By the book it seems that wizards and giants etc are the superior things in the world ordinary humens and animals have more or less the same position,don't they, i mean both are ignorant and their life is decided by some who they even don't know exist.Afterall its only a book but  one enjoys it when you personify urself as a wizard at Hogwarts but when u see urself in an ordinary man's shoes believe  me u won't  find the book that delightful.Think about it  

Lets start a little game over here .lets imagine u were on ur way to school one bright summer morning .And ola u see a hagrid standing near the bustop.U cannot believe ur eyes ,hagrid is standing right there unconscious of ur stares and gasps.People are looking at him with very disdainful expression . people are afraid of him ,its looks like the old lady standing right next to him  is asking people to call the police ,"he's pickpocket,call the POLICE".U have to help him ,u run across the street ."Hagrid",on hearing his name he looks around at u."Come lets go from here"u say to him  taking  his sleeve.Hagrid is suprised and asks " how do u know my name",
the street are blaring with the noise of the police cars,cops are closing in on u and hagrid."Lets go" u shout
"Yes go too" Hagrid bellows and picking u up like a piece of cardboard ,he cries"TO HOGWARTS"------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i think for this forum to be more upto date the authorities should put in place  some new rules:-


1)the user who has not been posting any messages for more than 2 months, she/he should be deleted temporily from the forum .their passwords and username should be stored in a temporary file and they should not be shown as members.after their exams,illness,vacation or anything if they choose to come back there should be a way by which they can renew their accounts.but only after they renew their accounts should they be shown as members till that time they are just guests.the users should be notified if they are on the verge of temporary deletion.

2)if for more than 3 months there has been no message from a particular user that person should be permanently deleted (as well as all their messages)from the forum.renewal of accounts are not applicable here.if after 3 months that person still wants to be a part of the forum she/he has to get a new username and password.prior to deletion of their accounts from this forum they should be send a couple of notices .

3)one think that i dont understand is that why on earth does this forum show messages which are a year old.noone is interested to respond to a message which has been posted say a year back,atleast i'll be reluctant to do so.what if the user concerned with a message as long since left the forum or say she/he is not interested in it anymore, then whats the point in it anyway.i hope that all that messages which date back to say a year ago should be deleted from the forum.only new messeges should be in the forum,which are not more than a year old.

please dont take these suggestions as orders from me,but instead see it as an ardent plea from a user who really wants to improve this forum :-\

if anyone remembers the plot of the 4 book please get this straight for me.crouch's son after having the polyjuice potion is pretending to be mad eye moody, he wants to show his fidelity to voldemort,by killing potter himself.now dumbledore even though he's such a powerful wizard who even voldemort is scared of couldnt sense something cooking,could he.he didnot know that the triwizard cup is a portkey.doesnt it show that dumbledore is not that omniscient when it comes to harry potter's safety.in the first book voldemort had taken possession of a professor and was living within hogwarts.if vodemort and his supporters can be so near potter that too within the school without the detection of anyone,even dumbledore.i think harry  future so very bleak and uncertain.

many of u might not have thought in this direction but i think harry potter is essentially sexist.i say this because it struck me, that most of the important charcters in the book are males, for instance voldemort,harry(of course),dumbledore,sirius black etc. the males outnumber the females in this book.even though the author is a female herself she has tried to create a replica of the real sexist world in her books.why on earth can harry not have a godmother say his mother's close friend at school or something why did rowling have to make the character a male.i dont want to make the book all femalish but i stand for equal representation.it seems rowling thinks that females are not capable of courage and firm determination which is of couse not true.you may question "hey what about hermione?".yes answer to u would be "exactly what about hermione".hermione in the books (mind u) is a studious and not that good looking girl,she simply helps harry in achieving his goals or from getting away from tight spots.when she takes a stand on anything half the time she is seen as a nuisance by own friends ron and harry too.i agree that hermone as a imp position too in the book but count the number of female wizards who are imp to the book.for heaven's sake not cho chang she  there to show harry's love side and nothing else.think about it and let me know if u can count upto atleast 10 (i mean imp female characters)

do i have to describe myself. fine,i'm a centaur (a female one).i love living in the forest,i hate intruders like wizards.we people are xenophobic i tried opening a bit but got into a nasty fight with my fellow centaurs.hogwarts is a great school ,looking forward to sending my foals to that school.

i think i'll  rather go for the hippogriff  ;).they are majestic creatures.firebolt is too fast for me :-X,floo powder one hardly gets to see any sights ??? ,invisibilty cloak afterall one has to walk or run in it,not good enough for me ::).tell me whats ur pick and also why do you prefer it from the others.

one thing i dont understand is why are students allowed to go anywhere any this forest even when its so dangerous.in the first book harry ,hermione,ron and malfoy are given detention to go to this awful forest.harry if it had not being for firenze, the centaur, could have been killed by voldemort.what is the logic behind it i can't understand.

Its fun to think about it.One can do loads of stuffs if you have an invisibilty cloak.I think i'll go for a world trip with my family(i hope we all can manage in one cloak).This way you dont have to pay for anything at all,plane fares ,sightseeing if my mother doesnt see me i can even do a bit of shoplifting ;D.I'll get to see whatever i wanted to see.isn't my idea cool  8).So tell me what would you do if u ever come across one.

i know kiara you have set opinions,i have too.by introducing this topic i'm not forcing u to think the way i want u to think.FIRST OF ALL UNDERSTAND THAT.a forum is a place were its not that novel, that people at times disagree.but disagreement is fine until it leads to a nasty arguement,which i have  the presentiment this will eventually lead to ,just look at that direction lavender is going.i have always adhered to a particular line of conduct.and i will continue adhering to that line until i am pushed against the wall and i am desperate to defend myself.anyway i'll stop this agruement here,afterall i was the one who sowed the seeds .i am civil to u and ur pales i expect u to be civil to me.if u think thats not possible please ignore me and i without any complains will try to ignore you and your friends.BUT MIND U I HAVE NO INTENTION OF LEAVING THIS FORUM.
